This makes me so so soooo fucking angry I can’t be tamed. These people will fall to any level to make my religion look bad. Fucking shameless.
Now that some of my anger is out, lets get into this:
Shree Laxmi wasn’t given to gods, she isn’t a goddamn cattle animal like Kamdhenu, and the demons and gods respected her wishes as a supposed human being to choose either side. She chose devas, not because she was partial against the asuras, but because a) she’s the universal mother, she knows everything that goes on, including which side has bad intentions and which one will use her powers for the good, and b) she chose to be with her eternal Lover/Husband Shree Narayan, and since he was on the deva’s side (aka the good side), she was with them by default.
The fact that literal demons had more respect for her than our secular writer over here, *sigh*
The elixer was given to gods because it was to restore their powers? Like, you know, the ones that were taken away from them? Why the frick would the lord allow Demons to have elixir when he knows they don’t have any good intents? They are literally evil, and protecting against evil is like god’s whole job ffs🤦🏻‍♀️
Literally no one in Mahabharata except Shree Krishna is purely good, get that through your fucking thick skulls. That’s the entire point, you learn what you do from Ramayan and what not to do from Mahabharat. And the Hidamba Mata’s (aka the Danvi whose name you didn’t bother researching, great work 👍🏼) backstory is never discussed in detail, neither is Ghatotkach. For all you know, the pregnancy could have been hidden from him, atleast that’s what their first meeting shows. So if you plan on demonising sex, you proved no motive here.
“Ohh, Ravan never did anything wrong, bas kidnap hi to kiya tha akeli nari ka.” Is such a sad argument tbh, y’all literally see no issue with kidnapping and terrifying a women over your own sister’s lose character? What a shame. “He never touched her.” Social distancing se kidnap kiya tha kya bhenchod? He never touched her sexually you mean, not because he was a saint of a man, but because he was a verified rapist with a blue check. He had raped his own to be niece in law and was cursed by his nephew that raping another woman would lead to his death. He literally threatened to cook Devi Sita and eat her up if she didn’t submit. Another reason he didn’t touch her was because if he had touched her, It would be Jankiayan instead of Ramayan because she would fucking kill him before you all can blink.
“He humiliated her on more than one occasion” is a very sneaky way to say two occasions so that the number can be inflated, eh?
The first occasion: Calling her names so that she will submit herself to agni out of spite and emerge unharmed, which literally everyone condemned, including the loyal brother Lakshman who rebelled against his own brother (for whose wake he would pick up a sword against everyone , mind you) because he dared disrespect a woman like Maa Sita, and even Hanumanji who’s Shri Ram’s biggest, and I mean biggest devotee. Literally no one stood by Sita’s humiliation, and it was later revealed by Shri Ram that the act was staged by the him so that she can have an excuse to perform agni pravesh so that no lecherous person would dare point a finger at her in future. Even the shlokas say he did it so that no one would suspect his wife’s character. And before you say Shri Ram was “saving face”, one of his plus points as mentioned is that he doesn’t lie throughout the entire story, so think again. Y’all really think he spent the entire story worrying for her safety only to insult her in the end?
You think Seeta would have anyone humiliate her once and give them a chance for a second humiliation? Ohhh you dead wrong!
Second occasion: Shree Raghuvar sending Maa Sita to exile, which is a very infamously known interpolation denounced by many. So he only “insulted” her once and that too in a staged act. One of the shlokas he uses to coax his peers after agni pariksha is that a woman like her can never be denounced by him, and like I said, he never lies, sooo…… :P
Shree Ram decietfully killed Bali because Bali was a foe who could not be fought face to face? Do you even Know the story of Bali? Do you know he was such a bad guy he literally took his brother’s wife like she was property? Ugh, I can’t.
Guru Drona didn’t accept Eklavya not because he was “Tribal”, but because he had promised his loyalty to the Bharatvansh Clan. Had even Shree Krishna gone to him asking for training, he would have refused. Eklavya’s tribal background was never discussed in this context.
(Also sidenote to my followers but isn’t it funny how despite Eklavya having to lose his thumb Guru Drona’s boon to Arjun wasn’t fulfilled because he still couldn’t surpass Bhagwaan Ramchandra as the greatest bowman? Khaya piya kuchh nahi, paap sar chadhaya barah aana XD)
I mean, God really out to set a limit to hypocrisy now because the more I see these people the more I disagree with Modiji ki Hypocrisy ki seema hai. Agar hai bhi to ye namune kaise long jump krke laanhg rhe h unhe, oof.

Raavan rode the PUSHPAK VIMAN! It was a CHARIOT, it FLEW, it looked LOVELY and ELEGANT! You think the King of Lanka, the kingdom described as being rich and prosperous, would be caught dead riding this ugly ass beast??? If you showed me this picture without any context, I would think it was straight out of some sasta copy of Game of Thrones.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE ANTAGONISTS AND EVERYTHING ASSOCIATED WITH THEM DARK AND UGLY TO SHOW HOW EVIL THEY ARE!!!

Day 6: Alternate Universe: Sita does not go to the forest.
Tagging @sundaralekhan
1.
Dasaratha’s decree brings great outcry in the Royal Palace, and Rama faces the herculean task of convincing his newlywed wife to stay at home while he braved the harrowing forests of Aryavart. She has clearly been brought up with good morals, not that they are helping Rama’s cause now. “Stay, sweet one,” he says, soft and tender, for no one can do otherwise with her. “Stay, the fourteen years will pass in the blink of an eye.”
“But you are my eyes, Rama,” she replies, calm and rational, the true daughter of Janak, and he sighs.
In the end, against his wishes, he invokes his status as husband and tells her, “Look after my mother.”
He thinks Sita would be furious, but she smiles serenely as ever, bows, and glides away. Even after all this time, Rama has not managed to truly know his wife.
2.
Somehow, even though he managed to deny Sita, Rama loses to his brother. Urmila seems as eager to get Lakshmana out as he is to go, and he wonders if they’ve conspired behind closed doors. Or maybe they fought again. It is difficult to know with those two.
In any case, he lands in the middle of forest with his brother in tow, feeling more useless than ever. Lakshmana refuses to let him do anything. When Bharata comes and Lakshmana’s rage lights up in flames, Rama wishes Sita were there to help him cool his brother down. Lakshmana curses and Bharata cries, and by the time they find out the reason Bharata came, Rama has no energy to spare. He comforts Mother Kaikeyi as best he can, before Lakshmana, ever watchful whisks her away. Bharata begs him to come back, and it hurts him to refuse, but he does so nonetheless. He chances a glance at Sita, who stands beside her sister and Lakshmana, and is relieved to see her proud.
3.
Rama has never been approached by a woman. He startles at Surpanakha’s flirting and mumbles about having a wife. She raises a skeptical eyebrow and peers theatrically at the empty hut. Rama wishes Sita were here. As Lakshmana rounds from the backyard with the day’s bundle of firewood Rama sees her eyes widen. “You can ask my brother,” he offers, then cringes at the petty words. But Shurpanakha trots towards Lakshmana and he only feels relief.
His brother brushes her off with aloof politeness, perfected from years of gently disappointing the courtiers’ daughters. Ordinarily, all they do is pout and strut away, but Shurpanakha rounds on him with rage in her eyes.
“You sent me here to be spurned,” she accuses, and Lakshmana rolls his eyes behind her. Rama stutters out an apology that she barely seems to register. As he gazes at her retreating back, he wishes he acted differently. Lakshmana gives him a fond clap on the shoulder. “By Ikshvaku,” he teases, “look at you fret. Relax, nothing will happen.”
4.
Rama wakes up troubled. Lakshmana is already pottering around, sweeping the yard and rolling the mats. Rama aches for the days when his brother was little, and he had to coax a sleepy Lakshmana to get up. He makes to help, but one unimpressed glare cows him. Foreboding builds in him as the day rolls towards noon, and by the time lunch has been laid out, he is antsy beyond comprehension. When he sees the deer, so bright it is almost golden, he tells his brother, “I’m going after that, it might make a good pet.” Lakshmana protests aloud, but Rama is already gone.
When he returns, lunch is strewn over the grass, the hut is empty, and his brother’s bow lies broken. Rama falls on his knees and howls.
5.
Lakshmana hates Lanka, with its gilded cages and lustful King. Ravana makes him uncomfortable, and he is yet to understand why he is in a room with a downy bed and silken sheets instead of the prison. But Lakshmana is Ikshvaku’s descendant, and bears Raghu’s blood in his veins, so he proudly glares at Ravana when the latter comes to taunt him. Let it never be said that Lakshmana was a coward. Had Ravana not tricked him, he would never have been here.
The door opens a second time after the ten-headed demon leaves, and a handsome man comes strutting in. “Meghnad, Crown Prince of Lanka, Conqueror of Indra, Ravana’s son; pleasure to see you,” he says in one breath, cocky grin firmly in place, and Lakshmana spits, “Not a pleasure to see you.” Meghnad only laughs.
Lakshmana debates the merits of storming through the palace and killing everyone around. But there is the ocean – blue and vast in the view from the window – to reckon with, and he has no certitude in his ability to fly the Pushpaka Vimana. Besides, Rama would not like him massacring a whole city. In any case, the Crown Prince of Lanka was good entertainment – witty and bold, if a little obnoxious. Better to stay put then. Patience was not one of his virtues, but it was time to learn.
+1
Lakshmana is maybe a little overwhelmed by the fact that his brother has managed to rally up an army to rescue him. But really, it is Meghnad who surprises him by arguing with his father. Nothing comes out of it, though. Meghnad stomps his foot and pouts like a brat and joins him in his room while everyone else fights. When Lakshmana wears the carpet down with his nervous pacing, the demon prince rolls his eyes, pulls out a set of dice seemingly out of thin air and says, “Your brother will win. Now come play.”
“Aren’t you concerned about your father?”
“Bleh, he is mean to Maa. Besides,” Meghnad winks daringly at him, “if he dies, I get to be King.”
Indeed, Ravana dies and Rama cries and Lakshmana goes back to Ayodhya with Meghnad – newly crowned King of Lanka – and his wife Sulochona in tow. He is a little apprehensive of introducing them to his wife, but as it turns out, Sulochana and Urmila are related by a complicated set of uncles and mothers and sisters, and they get along like a house on fire.
That is how, fifteen years later, Shatrughan – the brat – smirks at their children and says, “And that was how Brother Lakshmana got kidnapped, brought the two nations together, and befriended a bunch of demons on the way. Have fun, boys.”

Girl on fire
This piece was a first for me. I’ve never done an upturned head before, and I don’t do much nudity. (I actually considered giving her a smoky dress like in the books, but it didn’t feel primal enough.) I certainly pushed my boundaries, and I’d like to think I learned something. The more dynamic lighting was fun- and shockingly easy. I think I struggle more when the light source is vague.
(Also- this was inspired by this doodle I did of Tamara from a comic about drawing clothes. It was originally going to be Tamara, but Ravan was cooler and I have little self control.)

🌬Ravan Westewind 🌬
My air genasi swashbuckler for an incredibly fun impromptu one shot. I was still setting up his stats as we started playing so I can’t emphasize enough how little thought went into this lad. 😂 I had a great time rolling some eel monsters off a cliff and high fiving everything in sight. 11/10 would Ravan again.

Meghanada from Hindu mythology.
Using Brahmastra, Indrajit killed 670 million Vanaras in a single day; nearly exterminating the entirety of the vanara race. No warrior had ever achieved this statistical feat before in the Ramayana.
Indrajit (conqueror of Indra) was the eldest son of Ravana and Mandodari. He was named Meghanada after his birth because his birth cry sounded like thunder. When Meghanada was going to be born, Ravana wished his son to be supreme so that no one in the world could defeat him. Ravana was a great astrologer. To make his son immortal, he commanded all the planets and constellations in such a position that would allow his son to be born the way he wanted. Because of Ravana's anger and power, all the planets and constellations feared him. All the planets aligned in such a way that they came in the 11th house of Meghanada's horoscope. However, Shani (Saturn) had disobeyed Ravana's orders and had settled in the 12th house of Meghanada's horoscope. Ravana became furious at this and blamed Shani. Due to the state of Shani, Meghanada had to die at the hands of Lakshmana in the war between Lord Rama and Ravana.
During the battle between the Devas and Ravana, Lord Indra, king of heavens accompanied by all other devas captured Ravana. To rescue his father, Meghanada attacked Indra and his elephant Airavata, and defeated all the Devas, even Indra. He tied and mounted Indra onto his celestial chariot and brought him to Ravana in Lanka. Ravana and Meghanada decided to kill Indra. At this juncture, Lord Brahma intervened and asked Meghanada to free Indra. Meghanada obliged and was granted a chance to ask for a boon from Brahma. Meghanada asked for immortality, but Brahma remarked that absolute immortality is against the law of the nature. Instead, he was then granted another boon that after the completion of the fire-worship of his native goddess would be completed, he will get a celestial chariot, mounting on which, any enemy can't kill him in a war and become invulnerable. But Brahma also cautioned him that whosoever would destroy this yagna, would also kill him.
