⛅Made this illustration inspired by Kim Thuy's novel "Ru."

Wanted to create a piece that captured my takeaway from the novel as each entry is a lullaby that preserves history that can't be told by the history books. It has to be preserved through the family. In a way, it reminded me of how children's literature utilizes portal-quest fantasies to teach lessons. In a way, this is what family stories do but bring us into the worlds we can learn from.

I was bitten by a radioactive spider. But turns out it had a symbiote inhabiting it!

And for the past 2 months, I've been the one and only Orchid-Spider. Saved a bunch of people. May have pissed off some people. Saved the city once. Sometimes a buddy to Spider-Woman and sometimes a buddy to Deadpool. Depends on how I'm vibing.

I'm on some kids' backpacks. A few stickers on some street signs. And most likely on the watchlist for most of the pigs in the city. Not just excluding cops.

But after everything...

--- Made this poster last year as a dedication to landback movements and the pursuit to overcome pollution in our lands. I was primarily inspired by Kahenientha Cross with her movements to preserve her people's lands in 2021 and the continued fight against corporations polluting indigenous land without any accountability.
