Two days to go🧚🏻‍♀️💚

There were no doubts that there was something extremely commanding about the way Chief Beifong conducted herself at the station. Everyone, officers, detectives, rookies alike were both intimidated and in complete awe of the way in which she carried herself.

All, except Mako. His take was that Lin Beifong was the sexiest woman to have ever stepped foot into that Police Station. But of course, he kept his opinions to himself and feigned fear for the sake of his job.

It wasn't until one rather slow night, he realized he was the only person still working. It was the weekend, after all, he had all the privacy to work peacefully. Only, aside from the Chief Beifong herself of course. A little surge of confidence, sleep deprivation, and the cup of hot coffee urged him to make his next move.

Knock knock knock

"Come in!" She called, surprised that there still was some soul wasting away at the station.

He entered her office and stood in front of her desk while she put her paperwork away. He realized privacy was actually the secondary perk of working the weekend. The primary one being: Lin in her casual clothes- no armor, no metal, just a tiny lady with a big a temper. He stood there in silence until he was spoken to.

"Yes, Mako?" She finally addressed him.

"Chief, are you dating anyone?" He blurted out before common sense stopped him.

"What?" She narrowed her eyes at him, "Mako if you haven't noticed, I'm not Korra or Bolin that you can just ask me things like that. I'm your boss."

"I'm aware of that- and of the risks that come from posing such questions to someone like you," The confidence was surprising him too, "I just need to know whether or not you're seeing anyone."

"Why is that of any importance to you?" Lin rolled her eyes, unamused.

"Because I was wondering if you'd go out with-"

"Let me stop you right there, Mako. No. I am not interested in dating whoever you're trying to set me up with." Lin placed her elbows on her desk.

"But- Message received, chief." Mako nodded knowing better than to push, "I was heading out right now and I'm going to be working for a few hours more, so would it be okay if I brought those papers to you tomorrow?"

"Here's my office keys." Lin carelessly tossed a noisy set of keys on the table, "Leave the papers in here before you leave and lock up. I have a spare set at home and I'll be needing to go over these papers much earlier than you arrive tomorrow. I don't want you leaving them outside for just anyone's eyes."

"Got it." Mako picked up the keys, "Thanks Chief."

"Goodbye." Lin stood up and walked straight out the door without a second thought.

Through the next hour or so, Mako worked tirelessly on the papers when he heard the door slam open. Scared he pulled an all-nighter yet again he quickly glanced out the window. It had started pouring but it was still dark. He looked over to the clock- the morning shift wouldn't arrive until the next four hours. It hadn't even been an entire hour since he embarrassed himself in front of his chief.

When he looked up to see who had entered, he saw said chief standing there, shivering, drenched from head to toe.

"Chief!" Mako got up, alarmed, and quickly grabbed a blanket from someone's desk, "Didn't you make it home before it started pouring?"

He placed the blanket around her and started rubbing her arms with some firebending to radiate some heat through her body.

"I gave you the wrong stupid keys." She shivered in his arms.

Mako looked puzzled but continued rubbing warmth on her arms, "Let's go inside your office and get you warm."

He placed her comfortably in her chair and fetched some towels to help her dry off. Her clothes were stuck tightly to her body but Mako knew better than to let his eyes wander when she could potentially fall sick if he didn't heat her up.

"So you reached home, realized you gave me your home keys, started walking back here when suddenly it started pouring?" Mako asked as he warmed her hands in his.

"I'd beat myself up for making you detective if you got that wrong." Lin shivered softly.

Mako chuckled, "But then again, you came unprepared. Should I beat myself up for being your detective?"

"Come on, I had to leave. You brought up my dating life- you know how much I hate talking about those things." Lin shook her head.

Mako brought his hands up to her hair and started ruffling it, drying and warming her up. Lin shut her eyes, enjoying the sensation while Mako couldn't help but beam away.

"I wasn't trying to set you up, Chief." He answered with a smile, knowing she couldn't see it.

"Oh? So you just needed to know to report back to Su? Or Korra? Or is it Tenzin? Because they really need to get their noses out of my-"

"No. I wasn't reporting. I was just- never mind." Mako sighed, removing his hands from her hair. Lin opened her eyes as he reached out to pick up another blanket to place around her torso. She could read him easily, his slowed heartbeat, his fallen face. What was going on with him?

"I'm sorry I cut you off. You can tell me whatever you want. Just don't ask me about my dating life. Are you trying to feel better about yourself being single?" Lin raised an eyebrow at him with concern.

"No- I was- I don't know what I was thinking." He smiled and pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"Mako-" Lin tilted her head to the side.

"Would you ever go out with me?" He asked softly.

"You- you're interested in me?" Lin shook her head. Perhaps the rainwater had replaced the liquids in her brain.

"Yeah. I think you're amazing." His voice softened further.

"Oh." Was all she could manage.

"Yeah- never mind it. I should get back to my paperwork anyway, here's your home keys." He set his hand out with the keys in them.

Lin closed his hand, keys still seated on his palm, "Keep them for now. Why don't you walk me home? We'll finish the paperwork at my place over tea."

"Really?" His face lit up.

"I hope paperwork isn't too romantic for you." Lin smirked.

"Of course not! It's the perfect date." He smiled back.

PHYSICAL. SKIN : pretty fair tan, but he sometimes appears a little darker than usual. his skin does a strange thing where it changes shade in different lighting. his skin is usually smooth, but right after getting finished with work, he sometimes is covered in dust and appears somewhat dried out. EYES : slightly upturned, deep-set, wide and somewhat of an almond shape. irises are usually very round, and are a bluish-cyan color. pupils often alight with mischief. in intense lighting, you can see a little red dot reflecting off his eyes. LIPS : pretty thin and nude, hard to notice. matches his skin tone very well. usually quite smooth. tends to get chapped after working. COMPLEXION : pretty fair, but in different lighting, he can look a lot tanner than what he really is. BLEMISHES : he has a few moles here and there, but overall his skin is fairly clear and clean. he doesn’t suffer from acne nearly as much as he did when he was in grade school. A1 : honestly??? i think i would keep it the way it is, BUT i would like to have seen some more canonical information about galo’s family. as of right now, we know that kray saved him after his family was attacked by the burnish. if i were to direct a new movie about galo, i would focus it mainly on his family. Q2 : what would their soundtrack / score sound like ? A2 : i think it would be a mix of melancholic music as well as more upbeat stuff. on my blog’s main page there are links in the sidebar to both a soundtrack playlist as well as a pop music playlist; i definitely think it’s fair that a variety of genres would suit him and his experiences. Q3 : why did you start writing this character ? A3 : when i first watched promare, i was instantly drawn to this buffoon himbo. i’ve always had a thing for upbeat, energetic characters who are also quite caring and a bit dumb (which yes galo is very smart but he has his moments). while their personalities differ greatly (despite having the same personality type), he reminds me a lot of lance from vld, who i absolutely adore as well (and i also rp him too oops) Q4 : what first attracted you to this character ? A4 : again, probably his personality. while i’m not as energetic and upbeat as galo and i have a very, very different personality type than him, i feel like i definitely do understand him. i understand why he feels he needs to be overly confident, and i also have my moments where i just need to storm off and be alone. god i could write paragraphs and paragraphs about why i like galo but i wanna keep it short and sweet and just stick with those two points, which i consider to be the biggest points. Q5 : describe the biggest thing you dislike about your muse. A5 : look, i know i said i liked confidence, but something about galo that annoys me is the fact that he can often seem too confident. like yeah he seemed pretty humble in that pizza scene at the beginning of the movie, but i can’t help but feel a twinge of annoyance towards people who put themselves right into the center of attention and be all like “yeah i know i’m great.” like my boy i love you but do u have to announce urself every time u appear on the scene??? and pls stop being so reckless u honestly might die too soon one of these days we want u to be around for us to enjoy u Q6 : what do you have in common with your muse ? A6 : i definitely feel like we both have our moments where we just need some peace and quiet. of course, everyone needs this, but when galo talked about running off when he was pissed reminded me of me; i tend to go and cool off and vent to myself if i’m annoyed about something. we’re both naturally people-oriented and love to be around others, even though galo likes being the center of attention a little bit more than myself. Q7 : how does your muse feel about you ? A7 : in the sense that if galo were real, i honestly think we would get along fairly well. we have different ways of dealing with things, but we have similar habits and personality traits. however when it comes to rp blogs, while i do like to headcanon things about my muses that mirror my own opinions and beliefs, i do consider the mun/muse relationship fairly symbiotic. we as real people can learn so much from fictional characters and in how we play them, and of course, the mun will determine some things about the muse that will deter from canon. Q8 : what characters does your muse have interesting interactions with ? A8 : i just started this blog and have had very minimal interactions, so it’s hard to say ! i’d say that an interaction with a kray muse would be the most interesting. part of me wants galo to forgive kray and to have a better relationship with him post-movie canon, but there’s still so much about galo and kray’s relationship pre-movie as well; what was their relationship like? was kray like a father to galo? how can i describe the psychological mindset that galo had after finding out that kray betrayed him? there’s so much about these two that i really want to discover and look at, while of course providing my own insight (cuz that’s what muns do, right?). Q9 : what gives you inspiration to write your muse ? A9 : i like to study galo’s actions in the movie, and try to find the underlying cause of the actions he takes. however, when it comes to headcanons, i will often think of a scene or an idea in my head and then internally apply it to galo and see if it works. this is usually what kindles my writing fire: the thoughts that often rush through my head. Soulmate!Mark Lee Scenario

There is one universe where your soulmate is someone you share the same birthday with.

You and Mark often dreamed about each other, but there was no way for you two, to see each other. You didn’t even lived in South Korea. Nope. You lived in (your Country).

It was the night from the 31th july on the 1th august you two dreamed meeting each other again. “Man, this is bullshit Y/N! We’ll turn 18 and have na chance to see eachother!”, Mark was slidly pissed but you were aswell. “Right? What’s the point on beeing a soulmate without a chance?!”, you sighted. Mark pulls you into a little hug. You hugged him back and smiled. “You know what? I got it. I have money. When we’re awake, I’ll buy you an online ticket. You just have to fly over!”, Mark said with an excited voice. “No way! This is to much!”, you hit his shoulder. “Nah… I’m going to spend my money on you anyways.”, he was kinda right. “Jesus, but only if you take my present!”, you said. He smiley weirdly:“Of course.”.

When you went back to reallife aka waking up, you coulnd’t help but smile. Would you really be able to see your Soulmate?

You stand up and walked to you desk. You opend you laptop and waited for it. After about two minutes you checked your emails. There was Mark’s. You opend the mail.

You smiled at yourself as you printed put the ticket. And than you looked at the clock. It was 9am. As fast as you could you ran down to yout parents. They were also Soulmates. “Mom, Dad! Mark bought me a ticket, we have to drive to the airport at 1pm!”, you screamed, waving the tickets inside of yout hands. “Mark? Your Soulmate?”, your Dad ask. He wasn’t happy when you met up with boys, but this was something else. “Yes! We talked about it in our dreams! My plane will be bording at 3pm.”, you said happy. Your mom smiled:“Then go, pack your things Sweetie! We will make you some food for the long way!”.

When everything was done, you and your parents headed to the airport. You were so excited and your parents were too!

“Come here my little girl!”, your dad pulls you into a hug. “Take care and have fun with your soulmate!”. You smiled:“Thanks dad!”. You mom hugged you tightly aswell:“You’ll be 18 without us… but it’s so cute you both will be able to see each other in person!”.

You checked in, left you suitcase an the band. Now you had to go the secruity check. Everything went fine and at 2:43pm you waited to get into the plane.

The flight took really long. It made a small stop in Hongkong but that wasn’t special. When the plane landed on the ground in Incheon you and the people around started to clap. And than the reality hit you. You were going to see Mark Lee, your Soulmate. Thank’s to Mark, your place was right there were an exit was. You got all your things and the door’s opend. You were the fist on on the back to get out. The air hit your face. It was so freaking hot. Happy to be alive you went with the other people inside of the airport. You searched for your suitcase and grabbed him as you walked to the exit. You were fucking nervous, you could feel he was near. You felt a soft tickel. You tooked a last breath abd stepped outside. There he was. You both stared at each other. Johnny stood behind him but neither he or you noticed him. You started to run and a few seconde before you met him, you throw your suitcase away. Both of you running into each other, forcing you to land on the ground. “Y/N!!!”, he screamed. “OH MY GOD MARK YOUR SO TALL AND HANDSOME AND WOW!!”, you screamed back. Johnny picked up your suitcase and took a picture of you both.

As you two finally stood up, you went back to Johnny’s car. You and Mark sat behind him and smiled at eachother. Mark tooked your small hand in his ones and you blushed a bit. “Haaa young love, I’m happy that Hansol is my Soulmate and we hadn’t such a trubble finding each other~”, Johnny said and smiled at you. You blushed even more. Mark grinned at your cuteness.

The other boy’s really liked you, and the SM Rookie girls liked you aswell. It was 11:57 pm. You and Mark were forced to stay inside. You held his hand. “Mark, you know I’m so happy. We finally met and will turn 18 together…”, you said and er smiled. “I’m happy too. I never ever want you to go back, but you have to. I’m sure someday we can live together, marry each other and maybe have kids! That would be so-”. “PALLI!”, Taeyong and Jaehyun runned to you. Both of you hot a blindfold. “It’s 11:59pm, hurry up!”, Jaehyun said and the two helped you outside. All of them began a countdown, starting from 30. Marl grapped your hand. An electric feeling overcome both of you. “7…6…5…4…3…2…1!”. The blindfold were gone and the older members startet a firework. You felt a really strong energy inside of you and turned to Mark:“D..do you feel that to?”. He doesn’t answer. He cupped you face into his hands. Then the time freezed. Only you an Mark were there. He kissed you, and you kissed him back. The boy’s and girls clapped as you finished the kiss. “Happy Birthday Y/N”, he wispers into you ear. “Happy Birthday Mark….”.
