Does anyone else love to do something but when you go to do it your brain wants to do ANYTHING else? That is me with editing ch7 rn. I know I have to do it, I know I have already edited the first 8 of 20 pages, but I legit have been avoiding it like the plague. I get so excited to sit at my computer and BAM my autistic little brain cannot focus on anything else.
Mother save me.

Chetan Bhagat >>
The second I finished my book, we had to start discussing the qualities of an ideal roommate once you live in Spain- this occupied my mind and I could not think of how this book has affected me
so dramatic and just-
never have I ever been in love with an author and their writing and Chetan Bhagat hasn't even written books like Oscar Wilde & Charles Dickens
"The Girl in Room 105" is just a murder mystery with dramedy and romance- the protagonist is eating chole bhature and the police inspector in charge only gives a *fuck* about his promotion while he hogs free coffees from Starbucks- it's that *fucking* simple yet I can't grasp it
I'm so glad I finally finished it though, in less than 24 hours that too
feels somewhat like an accomplishment but at the same time I feel as if I've failed
this book has been on my tbr list for the longest time and after months of searching for it, I got my hands on the only book in my school library which only has one copy
the suspense is gone, and the mystery is gone, part of me was hoping for for a huge climax but just as the book's successors, Keshav Rajputrohit decided to blame someone else at first, made a fool out of everyone and then finally uncovered the real murderer.
but anyway, I have learnt so much from reading Chetan Bhagat's novels- something about building suspense and the art of writing and even how to have an affair and hide it, how to kidnap and murder someone while putting the blame on someone else and even how brutal and disgusting people can be.
this is the part where I talk about how I love his writing
simple writing, no fancy words not many double meanings but a huge impact
never give up
sexy title -> even more suspense
v v relatable -> romance, IIT, unemployment, and whatnot
save me, lord
and while so many people would totally disagree with me about Chetan Bhagat being a "good" author, let me just hand you his books so we can have lengthy discussions :)
love and light,
a very distressed child who read about a murder
