The Rotenburg Cannibal
Armin Meiwes
Tumblr media
I'm sure you've seen this man on your feeds before and so have I, but today I was curious to dive deeper into this case and take a look at his natal chart to see if it can reveal anything about his behavior and interests he had. So let's get into it
Armin Meiwes, in his 40s at the time of this crime, was known to have a sadistic fetish for eating flesh since he was 8 years old. It became a reality around the beginning of the year 2000, to which he decided to hunt on chatrooms/forums dedicated to cannibalism to find someone who wanted to "willingly be slaughtered and consumed" his exact words.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He surprisingly did recieve many responses but none of them wanted to meet him in person, they just wanted to sext. Until he met a willing victim named Armando brandes, 43 at the time, who had similar fantasies as Armin. But his was to be eaten, killed and sexual mutilation. Which is very odd bc it sounds like they were the perfect match for each other. So after talking for about a month they decided to meet at armins home, march 9th 2001.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was said that Armin made sure this was consensual as he would not harm anyone who doesn't consent. Armando was all in and he was given multiple sleeping pills and cough syrup, I'm assuming to be conscious enough to know what's happening but not enough to feel any pain. They then made love, and then the mutilation starts. I'll leave a link to the full story below bc I think it may be too graphic for Tumblr
What I'm most curious about is Armins natal chart so let's take a look:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sun conjunct mars:
Maybe he liked the act of violence, aggression, fighting, passionate, confidence, rough housing. Sun conj mars in general would describe someone who's very confident on their own, they are lively, passionate, immature/childish at times, maybe the most obvious thing about them is their martian nature. Whatever it is that mars represents, masculinity, passion, competitive, impulsive, combative, jump to conclusions, basically a stimulated fire ball with no brain at times. This could also describe someone who likes showing off, and prides themselves in being masculine, aggressive, martian type things. I've seen this aspect in charts of people who are problematic and get a kick out of arguing, fighting.
Both are in Sagittarius so he was endlessly curious and maybe he was obsessed with the truth of things, it's rawness.
Uranus conjunct Pluto:
This one is so obvious to me, I think Jeffrey Dahmer had the same aspect. This describes deep, peculiar interests, maybe a sexuality that's very much out there/eccentric/shocking. Maybe his fetish he had brought him some kind of security and was something he found a necessity/resource.
Mars square Pluto:
I don't know much about this guy but this placement describes someone with deep anger issues, like to a scary extent. They have no control over their impulses and will kill/hurt someone of triggered in some way. They're relentless, it's like a deep need they have to cause harm or maybe in general they can be very vengeful. This can also describe being sexually inappropriate in a way too, like maybe they took things to deep/too far. There was no clear thinking, structure, logic, fairness when it comes to his passions/obsessions.
Venus square Uranus:
Jeffrey Dahmer also had this aspect to, not sure if it was a square or trine but yes. This would explain someone who's attracted by weird people, things. They're into strange lifestyles, people, food, things in general. Venus is what we value, who we are attracted to/love, food, entertainment. So being square Uranus means he was forceful, overbearing, inappropriate, unpredictable, awkward, even off putting with the square here.
I find it interesting that Dahmer had this aspect too, this aspect right here is very common in strange relationships, hookups, basically the kind of relationships that aren't traditional or popular. But it can also describe people, so strange people, for example 2 in a relationship that have nothing in common, very odd looking couples etc.
Mars semisquare saturn:
Maybe he always felt that his desires, passions, impulsions were always shut down by his family/people in his life. So he wasn't able to express his needs no matter how strong, for some reason he wasn't able to put it into action or let the energy he had inside, out and this could def explain his disgusting obsession. He was surpessed for a very long time maybe his parent knew he was off and didn't like it, so they disciplined him heavy to try and tame him but instead he ended up doing the opposite. Eventually people do get tired of hiding who they are or being unable to express themselves and when they they finally do it's comes out so strongly/wildly.
Upon researching this case, Armin did have a very strict overbearing mother who he had to take care of until her death when he was in his 30s-40s. Soon after his mother passed, he took advantage of the freedom he had in life and that's when everything went down hill. It's like he felt he can finally be free to be his true self when his mom was gone
Mercury square Uranus:
He had a habit of doing inappropriate things, saying inappropriate things at the wrong times or being too noisy/chaotic/disruptive. He may have been smart and ahead of his time in some ways but the timing was always off and there was just something amiss. He could of been very restless and detached in a way, mercury is a busy body and Uranus is eccentric. So put them together and you get someone who has weird ways of doing things. He also could of been very closed minded, self centered with the square here. Could have had some kind of mental issues, bad attention span, forgetting things, moody, unstable, unpredictable etc. I feel like he gave people a very unsettling feeling by just being around him, bc a square to Uranus would make someone very unique, violent, too shape shifty imo, people never know what will happen next with them.
His Virgo moon sextile Venus in Scorpio:
This aspect is very much fetishey to me, in general Virgo and Scorpio in chart together could describe someone with very particular fetishes that most people wouldn't really pay attention to. Bc Virgo is a very detail oriented sign, meticulous and Scorpio is deep and obsessive. When you put them together you get someone who may obsesses over a particular part of the body for example and they hyper fixate on just one section or things along those lines. So for some reason Armin, enjoyed the body, organs, skin, everything about us as humans, maybe even the functioning of it all. Like our heart beat, our bodily noises, digestion etc. He may have at 1st started off with the curiosity of how the body works and how we work as humans. Then it somehow turned into what it became..
Tumblr media
For some reason when Armin was around 10-12 yrs old he found himself in meat butcher shops, not sure if a family member dragged him to work with or what the case was but he spent a lot of time watching workers butcher meat.. and this is what eventually lead to his future obsession. Sad to think about that how impressionable a child can be and what crazy things can branch out from it
Moon trine Saturn:
You know what's interesting to me is that moon-saturn aspects seem to be very common in serial killers. That's not to say everyone who has these aspects are dangerous, not at all. But it describes their childhood/upbringing, and how they may have felt restricted often, maybe felt distant emotionally, or maybe even emotionally stunted/out casted, maybe they were often in trouble or constantly going through things that reinforce their loneliness and lack of connection that is needed to a developing child/young adult. If you don't have a nurturing presence, then you may end up somewhat detached from feelings and this can play out in many ways.
For example imo, moon-saturn in serial killers charts can create a child/future adult who is so detached from their emotions they don't feel pain for others or understand emotions of others to where they can empathize with them. This is why it's much more easier for them to kill someone and be the ones who can do those things with their bare hands multiple times. They're built different forsure. So moon Saturn is a strong detachment from feelings. With the trine aspect he may have often felt lonely but he found ways to make things easier for himself. Maybe he found comfort in being alone/outcasted from society. Bc Saturn can also be our day to day structure in life, our responsibilities, work, societal expectations.
This is about all I can add to this bc unfortunately I don't have his full birthchart, all I had was a birthdate with no birth time. Would be much more accurate and detailed if I had his houses. But I hope someone found this as interesting as I did, thank you for reading <3
I'll leave some documentary links about Armin Meiwes below, in case anyone would like to know more about this case.

i think the poughkeepsie tapes is one of the biggest missed opportunities in horror. the idea of creating a faux true crime documentary to document a serial killer’s actions, especially given the glut of true crime docs that streaming has produced, is so so so good and the film actually manages to nail the verisimilitude in some cases. but the rest is just so fucking half baked. the serial killer is the smartest, most brilliant criminal on earth who has no character other than being smart and evil. the crimes documented just feel like a list of shocking atrocities that someone came up with in a violence dick measuring contest. some of the content is cool and the masked kill sequence is great but if there was ever a great idea ruined by a single minded obsession with producing edgy shock set pieces…….

ED GEIN
)c(
The depths of Ed Gein's depravity sank beneath the morals of civilized society. His deranged thoughts fed a dark desire, that motivated him to commit unimaginable crimes.
What began as casual Friday night grave robbing soon turned into murder. Gein needed freshly deceased female bodies to create his Corpse-couture. In a town with only 503 residents, freshly deceased ladies were limited. As a result of these dry spells, Gein had no choice but to kill. The laborious task of perfecting his artistry gave Ed Geins' life a sense of purpose and connection.
Gein transformed the family home into a palace of death. He covered wastebaskets and chair seats in a patchwork of hand stitched human skin; Female skulls adorned his bedposts while others were sawn in half and used as bowls. A pair of lips made a window shade drawstring; A collection of noses which he saved for a rainy day and cutlery made from bones. Gein dressed his naked body in skin garments that symbolized female beauty. A corset made from freshly skinned torso empowered the once emasculated virgin. In his new skin lady Gein was born. He assumed the role of 'woman of the house'. Death made it possible for Ed Gein to connect to the world. He gave life to dead bodies by dressing in their skin. For the first time in his life, he felt a sense of power and control.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He worshipped and feared his dominant mother, a religious tyrant who condemned the young Gein as a sinner in his masculine form. After his mothers death, Gein was distraught. He lacked the strength and discipline to live in the world without his mothers control. Increasingly, he craved her feminine power.
Ed's farming upbringing gave him some useful skills in butchery. He'd also dabbled in taxidermy when other kids were playing sport. With his lazy eye, speech impediment and antisocial family, young Ed was regularly picked on at school.
The gruesome nature of Ed Gein's crimes not only captured the collective fear of the public but also created a blueprint for three of the most unattractive antagonists in American cinema history: Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" (1960) was directly inspired by Gein's overbearing relationship with his mother and his habit of dressing in women’s clothing. He kind've became the poster boy for psychopaths; Leatherface in “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” (1974) wore the skin of his victims, but stuck to more traditional gender roles; Buffalo Bill in “The Silence of the Lambs” (1991) is a composite of several real-life murderers, including Gein.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Locals in small town Plainfield described Gein as a quiet man who may have been a little odd, but harmless. They regarded Gein as one of their own. He had dined at their tables and even babysat their children. But this was well before they knew about his fetish for pelt-belts.
Tumblr media
The case of Ed Gein significantly contributed to Criminal Studies & Understanding of Psychopathy: Although Gein was not a diagnosed psychopath, his case has illuminated aspects of disturbed behavior, contributing to our understanding of mental disorders in the context of criminality. For instance, Gein's unhealthy relationship with his mother has influenced theories regarding the impact of familial relations on disturbing behavior. His obsession with female body parts also led specialists to understand more about fetishism and necrophilia.
Tumblr media
Additionally, Ed Gein's case promoted the development of FBI's criminal profiling methods. Robert Ressler, a former FBI agent and one of the pioneers in this field, especially used Gein's case, among others, to understand the motivations and behavior of serial killers.

Men who leave women at night when they get angry with them and then those women end up murdered, need to be charged with SOMETHING.
You ABANDONED her.
I’m hearing way too many cases of men practically handing off the women in their lives to the fates and making them find their own ways home which result in her death which is usually pretty brutal.
Walking away when angry is one thing but straight up driving off and going home to your comfy bed as a person you’re supposed to love, or at least LIKE, is being killed makes them complacent in my opinion.
Endangering adults isn’t a thing but endangering children is?
Imagine letting your pride get so hurt that you let a woman die for it.
