I know he even says how he’s had to contain himself but I mean I need Tav to fight with him, getting mad about something dumb and blurting out that she has feelings for him and his chest is just heaving, eyes staring at her, before he stomps up and grabs her face and kisses her like he’s starved. Like I need them both gasping for air, him bending down to her level just to grunt in her ear about how words cannot describe how badly he’s been wishing for and dreaming of this moment that he thought would never come.

LIKE I **NEED** them to be frantically taking off clothes without breaking contact, him ripping things off of her, sweaty, panting, just carnal. But I so so so badly want that sexual tension to tear me apart first.

If I may SHAMELESSLY plug my 22-chapter story about them essentially being too stupid to act on how bad they want eachother (but actually he’s just too fucking noble for his own relief). So far, the whole thing is them pining for each other and finding small ways to show that they care and falling deeper with no escape ladder in sight or wanted.

FULL Feral behavior hasnt happened yet, BUT they def have a fight scene where Tav kinda kicks his ass and then, um, things are said and stuff against a tree

I haven’t found much “I want to fuck you so bad it makes me look stupid” on my Ao3 travels, unfortunately, bc that’s one of my favorite tropes.

THIS however is a good one shot from someone else where he’s like a sweet Dom and it’s hot af where they celebrate the solstice *insert dirty French laugh here*

But YES the tension that drives them both insane should be in more smutty fanfics imo

YES I DO let me get you some of my faves:

These two fanfics are uncompleted but SO good and worth reading anyway! I consider them to be “the” genmui fics because they’re what got me into the ship.

And honestly any fanfic by sopenation that’s genmui centric is so good!!

And not to shamelessly plug but I’ll show you MY favorite genmui fanfic I’ve ever wrote and I also have others that I’ve written in the past;

There’s a lot of genmui fanfics that are so good! But unfortunately you do kind of have to dig through the tag because a lot of the time they’re swamped and buried by harem fanfics (unless that’s you’re thing) but soo good when you’re able to find them.

I also recommend Kaz account because they have a lot of good genmui fanfics as well and specifically a genmui week series.

But that’s all the recommendations I have:) I love my baby boys sm.

please do talk about your zane & jesse feelings!!! whenever I see those two in your art I'm always curious as the thought process behind it, bc there's clearly something there! Smth I'm not seeing but want to see 👀👀

Hehe, thank you for asking! This got a little long, but please, come on this journey with me!!

Okay, so I feel I should preface this with saying, as you may have guessed, my favourite Remedy character by far is Jesse, (shocking, I know), and I think a lot of the feelings I have about this are partly filtered through my own understanding and interactions with her as a character (that other people might not feel the same way about), and also my need to put her in all the situations because I just want to :)

So, on the surface level, you've the general importance in AW2 placed on Zane specifically being a Director, which already hits those good parallels, along with the fact we have no idea why Zane was so freaked out by seeing Jesse and Darling on the tv, (which was also the only time in the main game she was either seen or mentioned, which makes this moment stand out to me- and its connection to the AWE DLC). Then there’s Zane meeting Darling, which bring us into head-cannon territory, being that Zane helped Darling make the Dynamite video, which- if he wasn’t already from the AWE DLC stuff- would make him aware of Jesse.

All of which lead to me just having... feelingssssss about them (which are explicitly none-shipping feelings!)

Like, my own sort of head cannon is that this current Zane is sort of a construct, an idea of what a sleezy 60s/70s filmmaker is, which in itself may unfortunately come with a certain level of not being particularly respectful towards women, his role as the filmmaker warping his perception of her. But also, at the end of the day, Jesse is both a very attractive and very powerful person, a combination I could absolutely imagine this Zane trying to purse and exploit for his own end.

However, unlike Darling who would trust him after a compliment and a flirty smile, Jesse- an infinitely more powerful person - would definitely not, and the clash of those personalities is fascinating to me! I need Zane’s sleezy attitude, the thinly veiled threat of danger he gives off to come up against the stubborn ‘fuck you’ energy of Jesse. Threat, tension, two dangerous people at an impasse all wrapped up in Hollywood glamour, sharp suits, pretty dresses, cocktail in hand! Do you see the vision???  

And aesthetically, I just want to draw more of them being glamourous in suits together (or, at least draw Jesse wearing a full suit…), just two powerful beings being powerful, you know? But I need their power displayed as excess, extravagance, an aesthetic all caught up in the filmmakers lens, does that make sense????

(I also just really like drawing Jesse in suits, imagining her fully embracing the ‘look’ of her role as Director, giving in to the glamour of it all on some level, which is partly how I see post cannon Jesse, (Director’s suit my beloved), and partly just me projecting my love of clothes onto her honestly…)

(On a sillier note, they’re the kind of people who are enemies -because Zane is an absolute bastard, and Jesse is having none of it -, but I could also imagine it being fun to see them team-up because they had to, imagine the banter!)

I hope this explains the vision, sorry it got so long and all over the place!! I’m still trying to cement all my feelings, so there's probably stuff I'm missing, but this was super fun to put together and has solidified a lot of things!! It’s definitely half cannon, half my own interests, born from this wonderful speculation period where anything could happen, so I thoroughly expect all my feelings to be made meaningless by cannon 🙃.

Also, not to like shamelessly plug my work here, but I do have a fanfic of them meeting that kind of goes into some of these feeling… {x}

Xmas Fanfic Plug Alert 🚨

Ho ho ho! 🎅 With it once again being the season of long, cold nights and shopping stress (and a bit of festive cheer, too, for the kids), I thought I'd take the opportunity to shamelessly plug this little old fanfic I once wrote and have since never shut up about:

After the deaths of his parents, Rick certainly isn't looking forward to Christmas this year. Nothing and no one can put him off his misery - not even Vyvyan, whose relationship with Rick has changed monumentally since the near-fatal bus crash. The house's only chance at a happy Christmas has somehow fallen into the hands of a certain imaginary friend. Hopefully, Fred knows what he's doing...

A Bastard's Carol is, unsurprisingly, a Young Ones parody of A Christmas Carol. Well, I say a Young Ones parody - there are characters from across the Rik 'n' Ade 'verse running amok in this. I wrote it in 2019/2020, a time period now an almost scary number of years away from us.

Don't get me wrong, ABC is by no means worthy of comparison with the work of the great Charles Dickens (or the work of the great Rik Mayall and the great Ade Edmondson, either). Yes, it is overwritten (why'd you think it ended up double the size of A Christmas Carol?); yes, it features too much interiority (Rick is one of my darlings okay); and, yes, maybe sticking to the five stave format, thus ensuring some of the chapters hit 15K, when I was writing for people whose attention spans meant they'd ditched traditional novels for fanfiction was a bit of a mistake (love you guys).

But that all being said...

It was written with love, and passion, and a quite large dollop of staying-up-'til-the-sun-rises-to-get-this-next-bit-finished-damnit. Despite its imperfections - and there are many - I am still proud of it. I wrote it for me, but I also wrote it for this fandom as it existed at the time. As I said above, 2019 was a while ago, especially in fandom terms (back in the B.C. years), and I'm sure most Young Ones fans on Tumblr now have new and vastly superior fanfic to get stuck into. I'm just offering ABC up to you this December as a ghost of scumbags past, if you like.

I know I've slagged it off a bit, but seriously: there's at least one person who read it and had their GCSE-fuelled hatred for A Christmas Carol somewhat overturned by it.

And it's got Rick and Vyv being gay. I probably should've started with that...

Inside, there was a small boy, around the age of four to five. His spiky white hair was uncombed, and although his black wings were fairly small, he was definitely a Seraphim.

What frightened Zoro, though, was that the kid’s face was a mirror of his own, save for the two visible crimson eyes that were now glaring right back at him.

Where Zoro suddenly becomes a father to a clone of himself, but a certain cook takes on the role much faster than he would.

They say it takes a whole village to raise a kid, but the Straw Hats are close enough. Incoming shenanigans, angst, and a gremlin child who might be the key to finally bringing these two oblivious idiots together.

Hey, remember when you made me that request of Uzi, Doll and V becoming adoptive parents to abused human children? Well I ended up making fanfics with that exact concept! Except rather than being single parents, Uzi and Doll are romantically paired together while V is romantically paired with J. They're called 'Project Motherhood: Uzi and Doll' and 'Project Motherhood: V and J' because I am very uncreative! Just thought I'd bring this up and shamelessly plug my own work on someone else's blog like the actual human garbage that I am! :D

Two DW fics I'm obsessed with right now are a good bit of trouble (13/10) and still more left to give (tensimm. kind of.) by Ponderosa. Fantastic fics, highly recommend reading them. They sort of tie into each other, so that's also brilliant.

also shamelessly plugging Birds of a Feather, which was gifted to me by BlueCookiesForRick, and is such a lovely Anna & Gabriel fic. and now everyone should go read it because i think about it often.

I am always, always thinking about how Jack Harkness taking the long way round to the modern day means that he would have been around while Rose was growing up. And it's not his Rose, not yet, of course, but it is Rose, and he waited so long to see her again. And I just can't believe that he wouldn't look after her from afar. Jackie's trying to make ends meet, and he leaves a mystery envelope of money on her doorstep. Rose takes a wrong turn one day and gets lost, and Jack steps in to give her directions so she won't be late to a job interview. He leaves presents for her at Christmas, and signs them from some relative she doesn't know very well, or Mickey, or the mailman, or forgets to sign at all.

The Bad Wolf made herself her own guardian angel, you know?
