"Spanakopita" (Venture Bros Season 5) was such a masterpiece.

The way they treat albino people like they're vampires and also pets?? And just keep that bit going for the entire episode for no reason??? Makes me cackle every time.

And then how all these random strangers came together to help because they realized a little boy was being horribly neglected and then no one EVER told him it was all a sham. They kept it going for like 40 years. Because no one was willing to tell a sad little boy that his dad fucking sucks???

Venture Bros is like "Haha funny idiot super science Brock Samson fucks haha anyway here's a knife in your gut. Enjoy being stabbed in the feelings. Do you like that? Do you like being stabbed right in your delicate little emotions? Haha anyway albino people are like pets."

Painting in the studio, this is during my final week at the Residency. I went into town and bought a King Sized sheet from a linen store, as there is no art store on the island. I selected 'Luminous Red' as the shade, as it seemed to be the shade that came up the most for me, like a background noise, but colour-wise. I watered it down to a light dye texture and slowly brushed the sheet, as if it was a monstrous filo pastry sheet or spanakopita. Mum took these photos; she visited for 5 days of Aagean Bliss.

It's been one week since I came back from Greece and honestly i should have stayed there, because in these last days back home only shitty things have happened to me, included my work almost going to hell and the f*cking covid i'm suffering right now -_-

So at least i thought i could share my pics from there now that i have time to fix them. I started with the foodp0rn because it was so great :D

So here you have gyros (with fries inside, yes xD), dakos (with olive paste instead of olives), kolokithokeftedes (and i'm not a fan of zucchini!), kormós (or mosaiko, very similar to tinginys!), souvlaki (out of the pita in this case), grilled sardines (from a ψαροταβερνα in Pireas), skordaliá (it's like mashed potatoes with alioli sauce but much better than it sounds), horta (i would love to have this here), homemade spanakopita and homemade fasolakia too (my bf's mom wanted to feed us non stop xD), and last but not least saganaki (with formaella cheese we got in Αραχοβα).

Missing here the delicious mousaka also homemade, the koulouri that i liked so much or the kaimaki ice cream, because apparently i love mastiha :D
