I don't currently have access to a computer to make it myself, but I am begging someone who does to please make an edit of Ed and Stede with the quote "We deserve a soft epilogue, my love" over it in an artsy font.

Obviously, because it would be extremely funny, given current fandom events.

But also, these two only met later in life, when they're both so done with the absolute shit sandwich life has served them up to that point, and they've both been told their whole lives that they can't be soft. The spirit of the quote just so happens to fit them so well too, they absolutely deserve to write their own soft epilogue with each other!

This might not be permanent but I'm done with the fandom.

I've done this before and I always come back and I'm not going to say I 100% won't but.. I've been done.

Which is horrible because the fandom is just getting started and I just up and leave? Yeah I feel guilty.

I love this community, I love the amazing stuff that has been made for and from this community. But i've been here for three (almost four) years. Since 2020. I've ran my course.

I feel sad. To leave something that I've loved for so long feels horrible. But I'm burnt out.

This isn't really a goodbye, its not a see you later either. Its a.. one day I'll post for the last time. This post is more of my current status.

How did Gem become the terrifying witch she is today? Was she like that when she was was first booted up?

probably similar case to Murder of Crows

in the case of Crows, a Gen 3, her existence is explicitly filled with emotion cuz that's just how poor Gen 3s are. instead of the usual "going to anger/determination or joy", Crows' programming scanned through the starting info package and went clinical depression mode

Gen 1s are more callouse about emotions, robotical, usually fall back on logic in their first few years. Gem's programming scanned through the starting info package AND interacted with her elders- especially most likely Boreas and Disdain, two most morally complex Iterators currently online (Orion and Spore were sweethearts, Zephyr generally unavailable to anyone but Boreas and Orion)- and her programming concluded that morality is a choice she doesn't have to take to reach her goals- in fact it might actual hinder her progress- and deleted the stuff out of herself

cue typical growing up stuff in a society where death isn't taken all That seriously while still carrying the horrific effects on mental health like irl and you get Gem's brashness, lack of moral sense and readiness to dig through guts of still living things

1. Mass Effect Trilogy - faithful adoration for many aspects of each game so I’ll just pack them in a single slot lol every time someone talks about suicide missions, I urge them to play the second game. The score, the narration, the preparations, the stakes... it’s just perfect, really. And the DLCs??? Lair of the Shadow Broker omgg seeing Liara for the first time after [spoiler] and the way they remind you the real face of Cerberus while you fight [spoiler] in Overlord?? BRING DOWN THE SKY!! Also the ugly crying that Citadel caused ;A; - Saren best villain ever, I will die on that hill 👏 2. Machinarium - must replay it because I don’t remember much about it and it’s a shame because it was my main artistic influence back in the late 00s 3. Dragon Age Origins - mooom ali is making favorites again DD: seriously tho, the other two games wished they had its depth << 4. Pokemon Silver - my late childhood and early adolescence were spent on this game. I still know that specific pokedex by heart lol  5. The Battle for Wesnoth - and this is probably the only strategic game I’ll ever mention because it’s not really my genre :’D it’s totally free and you can download/make your own scenario. Super cool! 6. Ducktales for GameBoy color - I think it was distributed by Capcom? I’ve spent entire days trying to beat that game omg its soundtrack is amazing too 7. Stardew Valley - look at all these brown chickens! 8. Yes, Your Grace - “a medieval monarch nightmare sim” is probably the most fitting description lol my heart was so broken at the end I had to sit down and watch the paint on the walls dry with a drink on my hands
