The state of Tennessee is pushing legislation right now that would make dressing in drag a literal crime.
Tell me again that it’s queer/ homosexual people that are cramming their ways of life down YOUR throat again. I fucking DARE you.

So on December 5, Putin signed a law completely banning the “propaganda” of "non-traditional" (fuck these homophobes) sexual relationships and gender transition (and fuck these transphobes) in Russia. There is no definition of "propaganda" in the document itself, which unties the hands of law enforcement agencies and courts. Right now publishers remove books with the slightest hints of LGBTQ content from sales. The LGBTQ community of Russia is gonna be even more oppressed now.
Before, the law was only about the prohibition of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships" among minors. Which is also stupid but we are talking about Russian laws (for example, five kids from Moscow are being inspected. They were playing truth or dare in october. One choose dare and it was "kiss a boy". They filmed it and recently the school administration saw the video. So they filed a complaint with the police. Yes, on the kids). For everyone who tells the LGBTQ community to "shut up and not stick out" "No one discriminates you, you're all just want attention". Fuck you. If we don't fight we are being erased.
Putin and his scums should have been arrested a long time ago. Even before 2014.

Illegal seeds?
A friend sent me the following video earlier, and I had to check into it! https://www.facebook.com/share/v/nzXCHT3mZQv5oddN/?mibextid=w8EBqM In the video, The Scaredy Cat Gardener shares that it is a good idea to check local and state laws beforehand because it may be ILLEGAL to sell or give away seeds from the plants in your garden… Immediately, I was like, “Whaaaaaaat?!” Yep, you heard that…

Star Trek: The Next Generation, 107 (Nov. 7, 1987) - "Justice"
Written by: Worley Thorne Directed by: James L. Conway
The Breakdown
The Enterprise visits a planet where all the inhabitants love to FUCK, and there is also no crime, so obviously this is going to be a smooth trip with no foreseeable problems.  All the same, protocols demand that Riker check things out with a small team, just to make sure there are no surprises that would lead to a contrived dilemma. Since the risks are SO low, Picard permits Wesley to join Riker to see if the orgy planet “is also suitable for children”, which definitely doesn’t sound problematic at all.  Surprisingly there is trouble of a NON-sex related kind, unsurprisingly Wesley is the source of that trouble.  We find out the reason crime has been eradicated is because the penalty for even the smallest crime is death, including (for example) accidentally tripping and smashing a greenhouse, which is exactly what Wesley does.
Picard’s probable desire to just let Wesley die notwithstanding, he takes steps to intervene (also he wants to bone Wesley’s mom one day, and letting her kid die would likely kill the mood).  The problem is, the Orgy-folk’s gods turn out to be real, albeit in the form of a super-powerful alien race, who reveal themselves with the message that the Enterprise is not to interfere with the Orgymen’s planet.  As a result of this development Picard delays Wesley’s rescue until the last possible second, allegedly because he’s uncertain if saving Wesley will anger the Orgy-gods, but I think he was just procrastinating.  Although at least he was able to wax philosophical for a bit, so the trip wasn’t a complete bust.
The Verdict
I had been warned about this episode on multiple occasions, and sure enough it’s pretty bad. There was a germ of an idea that had potential, but this has been our fourth space-deity/entity episode in a row, and it’s getting old. Also, FUCK OFF with the race of Horny White people. I have never seen a more obvious excuse to hire some eye candy for the studio execs who were “visiting the set, with some good friends” for a few days.
1 star (out of 5)
Additional Observations
Picard’s an ASSHOLE: Hahah! Oh boy. So Picard has been giving Crusher the cold shoulder in a major way, all as she pleads for her son’s life to be spared. Her heart has been breaking, and he waits to the LAST possible second reassure her that he “always intended to save Wesley”? He could have easily said something to that effect AGES ago. And she falls in lovewith this guy!?
Okay so I actually kinda liked the parts where Data was communicating with the God-Aliens. I enjoy the “exchange of information” angle, followed up by discussion on how to interpret such information from a higher being. But then you remember it’s all tied to the stupid Wesley-execution plot, and that stuff is all far too weak to support such grand subject matter.
This show really wants us to know that Tasha Yar has a strong sex drive. And also that men find her desirable. Just in case you wondered.

OHIO It is illegal to have a bathtub in a private home in Ohio.
This law dates from the 1800’s during the time of the cholera and smallpox epidemics, when whole families were being wiped out by the common practice back then of the whole family using the same bath water. Rumor has it that this is still on the books, and government inspectors can legally issue citations for this offense. Read More

To the people in Florida who extended the so-called "parental rights" bill into 12th grade:
You all are stupid. Not only is this whole thing racist, antisemitic, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc, at any age, but your young people are going to find/create this stuff even with your attempt at suppression. You may as well support them in accepting themselves and others as they grow up.
The smutiest slash fan-fiction I ever read was written by a teenager. I had no clue while reading it, of course. The author's note mentioned they were writing the story in the library between classes. I wrote in a compliment for the story and asked if they were majoring in Literature because it'd be a good fit for them. They responded, saying they were still in high school.
This was in like 2009. Fan-fiction has only gained popularity. It has become especially popular for LGBTQ+ young people, young people living in repressive/unsupportive households overall, and BIPOC young people.
Parents supposedly worried about "our children being exposed to age-inappropriate material" are pushing them into finding ACTUAL age-inappropriate material to educate themselves! If your kid learns about LGBTQ+ people from a kids' book when they're young, they'll know people like that exist, and it's normal. When they're not given resources like that, if they grow up and experience any feelings on the LGBTQ+ spectrum, they may go exploring on actual areas of the internet that are not appropriate for their age! Even if they can't access adult content websites that will be blocked by parental controls, there's plenty of other stuff out there they shouldn't see. I think we can all agree that many stories on AO3, Wattpad, FanFic, and Tumblr are not something a 10-year-old should read. Think about it. Would you have turned on age filters for stories when you were young, or would you have wanted to search through every story possible to find something you could relate to? Kristin Chirico said that she was writing smut slash fanfics at like 12 years old. Some of you would be surprised by how common teens writing those are. Not to mention some fan art out there.
I know more than one guy my age who was educated on safe sex practices by the US version of Queer as Folk as 11 and 12-year-olds. One of them was even out at that age. Granted, it's awesome that the US QAF actually addressed that, seeing as the original ignored it. Still, if you've seen the show, you'll know it should NOT be viewed by a child. The US QAF was slightly problematic even by 1999 standards (very by today's) but was completely revolutionary at the time. I still love it to this day despite its many, many problems. Side note: adults, if you're going to begin the show now, try to find the DVDs. The digital versions changed the music, and the show is borderline unwatchable with royalty-free music when the original soundtrack was so important and great. (I'll try to hook you up with the DVDs/digital versions with original music if I can. Virtually everyone I know believes the show would be rated NC-17 if it were a film, so I won't help you if you're under 17 or will watch the show with someone who is).
I've also seen so many tweets and Tumblr posts from people who wrote their own self-insert fan-fic(s) when they were young/are young people now, because there were no/few or horribly written people of color in the original work. They loved the source material, but it sucked to see themselves not at all or poorly represented, so they fixed those failings in their version(s).
Many places in the US are blocking (or trying to block) history classes from teaching, or banning/editing books that might make young people "feel bad about their racial heritage" (which is code for: don't teach white young people their ancestors enslaved BIPOCs throughout history. Don't tell white young people about the horrific abuse BIPOCs, Jewish, and other marginalized people suffered at the hands of white people then, and how it continues to affect our systems to this day. Don't teach it in case it makes white young people feel a little bad. It doesn't matter that marginalized young people live with this knowledge every day). Whitewashing this history, even more than we already do, will only make your children stupid bigots. That's fine with the people supporting these laws, of course, because they're bigots anyway. Their entire purpose in supporting these laws is to segregate their children from their BIPOC, marginalized, and non-Christian peers. Any knowledge of what marginalized people have gone through in our history, and what they continue to endure because of the unjust systems rich, white, cishet men used as the foundation of this country, may educate their young white people that things need to change to make things actually equitable in the US. That might encourage the young people to enact change that would entail some white, cishet, Christian people to be uncomfortable, and one can't have that! *sarcastic gasp*
In summary, these laws stupid (to put it mildly), and they're doing your children a disservice in every way. Not only that, the laws won't work, and some will actually drive your children into TRULY age-inappropriate content.
I ask these parents: is it worse for your 1st grader to learn about gay penguins who save an abandoned egg and raise it together, or for them to learn about gay people from inauthentic and unsafe explicit gay sex scenes in fan-fics when they're 10? Should your kid learn what being trans/nonbinary is from an educated teacher when they're about to go through puberty and possibly begin to experience gender dysphoria if they're trans, or would you rather them think there's something wrong with them for being trans, they can't talk to anyone, and should unalive themselves because of it? Should you teach your children about the injustices their ancestors perpetrated on the ancestors of some of their peers who just happen to look and/or have been raised differently from them, and how that changes their peers' experience in life, or is it better for your children to lack empathy and be totally unprepared if they seek higher education because actual history was withheld from them?
You all who support these laws are doing young people no favors. Don't let your bigotry that motivates these laws hurt your children. That's the only thing these restrictions are going to accomplish.

i truly truly will never stop being tickled by how law's braincell count just plummets into the negatives whenever he's around luffy and kid SPECIFICALLY at the same time. like if it's one or the other he copes more or less just fine. kid's a shit-starter but he's predictable and easy (and fun) to rile up. luffy runs on baffling logic but he's fundamentally easy to get along with so long as you maintain your zen and understand that he usually doesn't MEAN to get under anybody's skin. separately they aggravate law in different ways. but when they're together kid's penchant for starting dickswinging contests (or inability to not take the bait of one) collides with luffy unhesitatingly answering with a one-up that no sane person would conceive of and what the hell is law supposed to do against THAT fuckin wombo combo. get left behind and called a bitch for it? not goddamn LIKELY!!
