Share a weird fact/story about yourself with the class. I like to drive around rural areas and photograph old, sometimes abandoned locations in the dead of night. I have been literally chased out of towns by foot and by car on two separate occasions. The second time this happened, "See You Again" by Miley Cyrus came up on shuffle and that's the soundtrack my friend and I tore out of town to. Also every "guy" I've dated except for my most recent ex (who has big egg energy) is a lesbian now.

What does the color blue taste like? Creme brulee

What is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? The appalachian mountains of Tennessee in the middle of summer. There's kudzu everywhere. On the backroads, there were several old, dilapidated Baptist churches barely hanging to the side of the mountain. I wonder how many of them were still in use.

What is the stupidest thing you've ever done? Short version: my friend's house almost got broken into by this dude who'd been stalking us for months while we were home alone. Instead of calling the cops, we decided to confront him with a bow and arrow (me), a hatchet, and a baseball bat (him). The plan was that if it went badly, we would simply throw his corpse into one of the many lakes in the neighborhood and let the alligators eat his remains (this was Florida). Why? Because we were afraid of having our home-alone privileges revoked. Luckily for us all, the guy fucked off and we never saw him again.

Stupidest thing you've seen/heard someone else do/say? My ex thought that Jackalopes were real. Also, a nurse I was doing rotations with apparently thought that "Witness Protection" was for Jehovah's Witnesses.

hear me out I like zeff/yasopp I think it's great but just hear me out sora right? Mrs Vinsmoke instead of poisoning herself to fix her babies. She poisons her husband, killing him. She takes her daughter and runs away to the east blue.

Okay so Sora is the sweetest mother in the whole world but since she has to raise the kids on her own she also has to act tough sometimes and you know,,, It is a hard job when you have,,, 5 kids,,, Poor woman. But she loves her little angels SO much it's insane and they love her even MORE and they all help in their tiny little home in the village somehow. Tiny little family that is not so tiny because those are 5 kids. Girl,,, I just know Banchina would want to help her somehow. Usopp doesn't have that many friends and Banchina thinks it's a great idea to go visit Sora and the kids so Usopp has somebody to play with. And even if it's a bit hard because his personality clashes a lot with the brothers, he gets along the most with Sanji. Instant best friendism because Sanji looks so sweet and quiet and sensitive and Usopp goes full superhero mode on him. My pookies,,,

Honestly, Banchina is so real for falling for Sora right away. Because. You know. Have you seen Sora? I think Banchina admires her a lot because sometimes it's hard for her to raise Usopp on her own without Yasopp around and you're telling her Sora can do that same thing with 5 kids??? And Sora falls for Banchina too because. Again. Have you seen her??? And she is also so fun to be around and so so helpful!

Wouldn't it be extremely sweet but angsty if they started to fall in love, meeting even when the kids aren't around and doing chores together, but Sora feeling guilty because she thinks Banchina is actually married married to Yasopp? She doesn't know anything about the lavender marriage yet,,, And Banchina doesn't want to ask personal, intrusive things, so she doesn't know more than "They escaped from a bad place" about Sora and her kids. She guesses she doesn't want a romantic relationship now-- But she does!! Of course she does!!

Banchina is just,, So sweet to her and so so helpful and thoughtful. Sora isn't used to this much kindness in her life,, You have to keep in mind she basically got out of an abusive relationship and it's the first time somebody actually wants her for herself and not to use her. Banchina always wants to cook for her and help her with her groceries and look after the kids when Sora wants to take a nap. And I think Sora also would see her with Sanji cooking, stopping fights between the brothers and playing with them (also fixing their stuff bc I hc that Banchina knows her ways when it comes to like, mechanics and art and such), and talking for hours with Reiju and dancing with her. Sora is so in love,,, She has never felt like this before. She didn't even know she liked girls. But she doesn't want to make any sudden changes for the kids,, Again,, Or ruin what they have. So she stays quiet.

And Banchina loves painting, by the way. Obviously, because I say so (and bc I want Usopp to have a deeper reason to love art). So Banchina is always drawing Sora, at first absentmindedly, and later on she realizes the only thing that inspires her is Sora,,, She has always been looking for that. A true passion and stability and knowing she can trust somebody to stay and to offer her their heart so she can paint it. She's a bit intense when it comes to helping Sora, maybe, but she wants to be helpful! And Sora is always taking care of her too and her health!! Looking out for her and being oh so gentle and fun to be around. Sora is the sweetest but she's also a bit of a tease and her laugh is the cutest thing Banchina has ever heard. But yeah,,, Neither of them wants to confess even though they've almost kissed,,, A lot of times.

Okay,,, But wouldn't it be cute if Sanji and Usopp's crushes on each other started very early in their friendship and Sora and Banchina realized they have to be honest about their feelings thanks to their kids??? Because they both ask for advice from them about how to tell somebody you like them, and when they're both like "If you truly feel like it's meant to be you'll know... You need to follow your heart and be honest..." they know they have to finally be together together. They wouldn't tell their kids right away because they think they need to get used to more to this dynamic first and it's a big change. So they stay quiet and keep it to themselves. But, you know, Banchina and Usopp basically live with them now at this point so it's hard not to know.

Also,,, Can't stop thinking about Sora being a badass and knowing Judge is the most horrible person to ever exist BUT still having issues with relationships because of his fault? She still has this feeling of like, thinking she's worthless and needs to do more and more and more? And give give give? And Banchina helping her all the time and sharing the burden and seeing all the pretty things Judge found ugly in her,,,, It does wonders for her heart. And Banchina also realizes that she doesn't have to be alone and can share her passions and true feelings with somebody finally??? What if I cry.

Aghhhh. I absolutely adore this. The kids grow up and do their own things and Usopp and Sanji go with Luffy and they are all happy and there's no angst! And once they're alone they can be cottagecore middle-aged sapphics in their little village.

Favorite headcanon: I've posted about this before and the wonderful @delta-pavonis wrote a fic about it, but I firmly believe that in the Sandman universe, he was the inspiration for Nick Bottom. Think about it: low-born guy who always has to be the center of attention and acts like a jackass, but somehow won the queen's favor. Hob was salty because Shaxberd had Dream's attention, but Shaxberd was salty because Hob had the queen's attention.

Dream:

I would like to see more of her days she spends as a mortal. We see some of that in "Death: The High Cost of Living," but I bet she gets up to some crazy shenanigans

Unpopular opinion: I don't think she's as perfect as a lot of people think she is. She's one of my favorite characters and I love her, but I think she's as flawed as the rest of her siblings and has her own struggles that we only get glimpses of

Favorite relationship: canonically she doesn't have any romantic relationships that readers see, but I love her relationships with her siblings, especially Dream. For ships, I kind of like the idea of her with Johanna, but I haven't explored it much

If you could give the Karakura kids a headcanon based on what afterschool activities they would enjoy ? What would it be ?

(This is if you didn’t know the stuff they enjoy in canon)

well, in canon, orihime and uryu are in the handicrafts club, and orihime probably gives uryu all the hot gossip he never knew about while he dutifully listens and offers scathing commentary. not sure about hobbies, but i think early bleach mentioned that chad has an after-school job, and so does ichigo. ichigo also played basketball and plays soccer, though i don't think he necessarily enjoys it, it's just something he's good at. that's canon, though. if you want an alternate spin on what i think their extracurriculars could/should be, here goes:

orihime should absolutely play a sport. considering we've seen her play basoccer (her hilarious invention), i'd say she should play baseball or soccer (after trying to start a basoccer club and miserably failing to attract long-staying members. i say long-staying members because i'm sure she had many sign-ups in the first week from her throng of admirers who just wanted a chance to be around her, but once they realized her sport makes very little sense, i'm sure they'd dip. sorry orihime!). she'd probably also join whatever japan's equivalent of the gay-straight alliance club is, though no one knows which side she falls on - extremely encouraging ally, or actually a lesbian/bi. she spends a horrendous amount of time making 'you are valid/you are loved/you matter' rainbow stickers for the kouhai.

uryu should join debate club, i would love to see him destroy someone in a debate, you just KNOW mr mala suerte is waiting for a chance to be smug and ornery.

chad should join a crochet club and make cute things for his friends. orihime and uryu accept his creations readily, but ichigo has some doubts about what this could do to this Image (tm) because he's a poser, but he also accepts it eventually because he is chad's Bro and Bros would do anything for each other. chad could also join a jewellery-making club (if there's ever such a thing. i guess handicrafts club counts, right?)

ichigo would probably enjoy writing for the press club, but i doubt he'd be interested in being the club president. he'd try to run that place like he's joan didion while the other kids nervously try to decide who should tell him they're aiming for a more teen vogue kind of vibe. i don't know if ichigo would be good at it, necessarily, but i also think he'd find it therapeutic to paint/do some scrapbooking in his free time.

i love the idea of will actually enjoying baseball here? like, maybe this time lonnie was always trying to get her to like more feminine things, but it would backfire so much that he just gave up. he tries getting her into cheerleading and she's more interested in the other sport they're cheering for (and point-blank ignores the cheerleaders, because she doesn't want to get caught staring at them).

"but somehow still failing to adequately perform femininity" feels right. femininity as a costume or uniform, something she puts on but never feels quite right in. i struggle to picture mike without his headstrong, scrappy, fierce personality, so i do love the dichotomy of mike looking every bit a "traditional woman", but it starts to fall apart whenever you look at the way she carries herself or she speaks.

she tries to perform her role, but she can't deny her nature. she can't make herself smaller, quieter, more palatable—not without lucas's help, telling her what it is that guys like. and now that they're all getting older, she needs to start focusing on them—boys, and being liked by them—and not will, who keeps clinging to the past and doesn't seem to care at all.

instead of forgetting that will is in the room like in season three, maybe she just... does that thing where she elevates herself and puts down girls like will in the process of making herself more available to men. she starts dressing a little nicer, wears actual makeup now. instead of messing around and playing games, she wants to go on dates and gossip. just... the overcompensating deep dive into perceived Acceptable Womanhood^tm, because of outside pressure and her feelings for will morphing into something that simply doesn't fit within that framework. and mike just can't have that. not when he's so close to being Normal.

continuing with that, i do also like the idea of mike being the type of woman that can wholly accept that there are many ways to be a woman, but thinking that she, herself, cannot have the same freedom. she's scared of what it would mean, as a lesbian, to navigate a world incognizant of the desires of men, because she just struggles to wrap her mind around that. that she can exist as is and not have her worth be tied to her desirability.

she looks at will, and she loves her wholeheartedly, she does, but she's just—scared. scared of having to become her own person. scared of redefining her meaning of success. scared, because it's new. scared, the same way that an animal raised in a cage fears the outside world. scared, because now she'd be seen and loved for who she is, and not based on how well she could play her part.

hm. that bit about mike just Got to me. mike being unable to embrace her homosexuality, because it's at odds with her attempt at Womanhood; and her attempts at Womanhood, which is centered entirely on what others believe it should be, feel inadequate and inauthentic because she's so out of touch with her own true womanhood (which absolutely does have the space to accommodate homosexuality without canceling any other part of her identity out).

mlw relationships are killing some women's souls, and we need to change that

gosh, let me preface this by saying I love men. men are absolutely the cutest, when they're good to the people i love. I love men when they talk about their obscure, weird interests or they talk about their mainstream interests like baseball. I love the light in their eyes when they get excited, and that cute little hand thing they do.

genuinely, i adore men. but one man in particular has earned my ire.

i was talking to my het sister today, about love and relationships. she's been in a long term relationship for almost four years now, and she's going to get out of it soon. me, being an inexperienced (probably lesbian) kid, I ask her about men, and what it's like to be loved by one. she tells me, "oh you know, men are great, except from when you want to be loved for who you are." And she just...laughs. I don't think she even notices my heart is quite literally breaking. This is the world we're in, guys. My older sister, who drew on walls and planned her wedding before the age of ten, who knows all the words to the scooby doo theme song and eats chocolate cake with her bare hands...does not know what it's like to be loved for who she is.

I didn't understand at first.

Because lesbians, and bi women, and just women/queer people loving women in general love so desperately. we love our partners not for how they look, but for who they are. and yes, maybe im speaking from a naive place, but that doesn't change the fact that women/enbies don't view each other like men do. not to romanticise wlw relationships so terribly, but it's just so different with us. My sister tells me about the times her boyfriend, Danny, has forgotten her birthday, Dannys cheating on her, or throwing her against a wall on their anniversary - with all the caustic numbness of a trampled upon snail. She has not been loved by any of the men she has dared love.

Obviously, mlw relationships cannot be exactly like wlw relationships. But it just, hurts. It hurts that my sister, who is genuinely one of the most dynamic people i know, who is the aphrodite of small town casinos and cheap gin, who is always holding the bullet instead of biting it - is not being loved for who she is. She knows that she is being loved for being a warm body, not for the warmth her body can hold.

He, as far as I can see, was a good person. He showed up to family events with flowers for our mom and a toy for the baby...but it just goes to show you how different things can be behind closed doors. She told me, "his passive aggressive comments always stuck with me. i even started worrying about my weight!" which, if you know my sister, should be absolutely absurd. She literally looks like a model (don't tell her I said that or her head'll get so big we'd have to keep her chained to the floor). She is one of the prettiest women ever, regardless of her weight. She told me that at one point she was almost ready to starve herself. Meanwhile, this pathetic apology of biochemical reactions has had the nerve to cheat on her, laugh at her, make rude comments and still show up to every family event with a bouquet in hand.

And it's changed her.

it's not fair. So, Danny, if you're reading this by chance you sad sack of mutilated deer dick - fuck you. Fuck you for taking my passionate-about-life, kind to the druggies outside our shitty school, full of life sister - and making her someone who tiptoes around you. Someone who's given up on being herself because you've changed her.

The worst part is that it's not even an isolated event. This happens to women all over the world. So many sparks have been lost to careless hands.

To men everywhere : don't date women you don't actually love. Don't search for someone else in the girl you're dating. Don't treat her wrong, and start actively figuring out what hurts you instead of expecting her to do the emotional labour allllll the time.

And do not ever make your girl feel bad about herself. I'll be watching, and I have a bat and an angry horde of bisexual at my side.

Anti-propaganda for Butterfly Soup because I saw Liz and screamed!!

Butterfly Soup is a visual novel series made by the creator of Pom Gets Wi-Fi. Play it if you wanna laugh at funny lesbians playing baseball, falling in love, and be emotionally wrecked by how insanely accurate the struggles of being an asian-american in the US.

The first game focuses on on the love story of Diya and Min/Min-seo. They're childhood best friends that reunite after years apart that. They're basically two jocks that are both equally as awkward at the whole relationship thing. This one specifically tackles asian-american struggles during the time period and trauma.

The second game focuses on Noelle and Akarsha! They're like "the top student who pretends to not tolerate the other person's antics, but is really just as silly as them (and secretly enjoys not having to be serious with them like she's expected to with others)" x the class clown that bothers her and is as intelligent - just hiding it with humor in fear of expectations". This one still carries the theme from the first game, but also talks about internalized biases from how you're raised and how it affects people in a friend group.

It has a pastel color palette and well rendered naturalistic backgrounds!! The dev has a Tumblr account on here and the games are incredibly well produced :D

– born to a loving family on the blackfeet indian reservation in browning, montana. was never particularly wealthy but what their family did have was a lot of love and devotion, and they were always raised to know that they had the full support of their parents – this meant that they're decently well-adjusted. never really one to stress, freya's got a true 'type b' personality. – they discovered their love for art young, and had been sculpting pretty much since their fine motor skills kicked in. art of any kind attracted them, but sculpting especially – eventually decided they wanted to see the world and got a one way ticket to london for college. with their family's support (and sadness), they left the reservation for art school – met their spouse (rania <3) in college after a few flings and fell in love immediately – what was initially a fling turned into a whirlwind romance and of course freya was down Bad – as soon as they started taking the relationship seriously they knew they had to get their shit into gear because sculpting wasn't going to pay the bills – put their big thirl panties on and got into law; was wicked good at what they did, but their heart was never in it. still, they knew they didn't want to go back to the states (as much as they missed their family), so they got a job in chile instead, still wanting to see the world – unforchie law burned them out despite the fact that they were good at it and they quit, hoping to pursue their craft full time – currently is going through a bit of a rough patch with rania since quitting their job </3 they had a lot in savings and rania supported them after seeing how miserable they were, but it's ... rough. they're trying  – kind of having a midlife crisis ? in a way ? – still loves their children and their wife don't get it twisted. their family is their lifeline n main priority always
