14. Hello! I'm in the mood for explorations of bad Lan Xichen, or Lan Xichen bashing. It's common to see JC bashing, but really, poor old JC was screwed by his family and lied to, I'd be enraged too. But how could LXC be THAT stupid? What happened to trust but verify? He's either truly truly stupid, or completely complicit. Maybe he loved being JGY's special one so much? I dunno. But no-one is that stupid. And the Lan sect has so much to answer for, with its cruelty and hypocrisy (they were at Qiongqi path as guards) (what, they didn't report to their sect leader? Really?). I understand angry old fart LQR a lot better, he doesn't care about anything but the sect and has no connections outside the sect, I can forgive him. But LXC just ignores his other sworn brother and his own little brother far too much. He is equal to if not more of a villain than JGY, who's just fighting for a place in an unjust world. You and Jason started dating when you were Sophomores in High School. You were there for him each football game to cheer from the bleachers, and when he got accepted to Metropolis University you were both overjoyed. When you also got accepted, Jason was that much more excited about going to college.

Suddenly all the trips back to Smallville he’d been mapping out had no need to be taken and he could simply see you on campus.

Jason was part of a fraternity with his teammates, but you hadn’t joined a sorority. So, Jason would sneak into your dorm room. However, he wasn’t very good at the actual sneaking part.

A loud crash woke you up and you grabbed the baseball bat from under your bed. You were ready to whack the shadowy figure that had climbed through your window when you heard his voice.

“Hey, sweetheart,” Jason groaned. “God, you need to put some pillows under the window or something.”

“Jason? What the hell are you doing?”

“Visiting my girlfriend? So we can sleep in the same bed?” He stood up, a smile on his face. “What? It’s Saturday, everyone’s sleeping in and no one will notice I’m in here!”

“You’re adorable, but if you get caught in the girl’s wing you could get expelled!”

“You kidding? Who could expel this adorable face?” He was still smiling as you turned on your light and tossed the bat onto your bed.

“How do you look so cute right now? You just fell into my room!” you laughed a little.

“Awe you love me, don’t you?”

“I really do.” You got on your tiptoes and wrapped your arms around his neck, planting a kiss on his full lips. “So much.”

You were studying for an upcoming test when you heard a rushed knock at your door. You slowly got up from your chair and walked to the door, the knock continuing up until you opened the door.

“Oh my god, Jason!” you gasped and pulled him into the room quickly. “What the hell?”

“What?” he asked, furrowing his brows and smiling.

“It’s after nine and a weekday! You can’t be here! Did anyone see you? God damn it, Jason if I have to bribe the girl across the hall again I-” He cut you off by grabbing your face and kissing you. “Alright, you’re forgiven.”

“I think I’m getting better at this whole sneaking around thing, though,” he said, walking over to your bed and sitting down. “I’m like ninety-five percent sure no one saw me.” He leaned back and grinned before someone knocked on the door. You motioned for Jason to hide, so he rolled onto the floor.

You opened the door and were met with your smiling neighbor, “Hey Casey, wha- what’re you doing here?”

“I saw Jason come in here, Y/n,” she said flatly. She held out her hand with a smile. “C’mon, girl’s gotta eat!”

“This is so unfair! I see your girlfriend going into your room every night!” you said. You went to your dresser to grab five dollars.

“The perks of being a lesbian, Y/n!” Casey smirked when you handed her the money. “You should try it sometime.” You closed the door.

“Jason, you can come back out,” you told him before he slid out from under the bed.

“You know you’ve got like ten pairs of panties under here?” He smiled up at you from the carpet. You rolled your eyes and held out your hand which he took and used to heave himself off the floor. “Love you,” he said and kissed you.

“Next time I’m sneaking into your place,” you mumbled.

“Ooh no!” He shook his head. “House full of horny guys that might combust if they see you in your tiny pj’s? No thanks, sweetheart.”

“Well then, just slide five dollars under Casey’s door before knocking on mine tomorrow, okay?” you laughed.

“Good morning,” you mumbled, snuggling into Jason’s chest. Your eyes suddenly flew open. “Oh my god!”

“Shit,” Jason sighed.

“Shit is right! Hurry up and climb out the window!” you exclaimed, pulling the covers off of him and standing up. “I am not getting expelled just because you haven’t grasped the art of sneaking in and out of my bedroom!”

“Wouldn’t it be smarter to just act like I came here early in the morning?” he asked. He stood up and put his pants on from the night before. “If anyone asks, you can say you had to help me study?”

“Yeah, that makes sense.” You nodded a little, looking into his bright green eyes. You then shook your head, “Wait, no it doesn’t! Stop giving me that look that makes me do anything for you and just hurry out of here before someone sees you!”

He grinned, “You really are a sucker for this smile, aren’t you?”

“I really, really am so please get out of this room before I fold and jump back into bed with you!”

“I love you,” he said before he kissed you. He then put his shirt on, kissed you again, and climbed out the window. “See you in class, my love!” He peeked his head into your room and you kissed him one last time before he left for good and you closed the window.

“My love?” You scrunched up your face a little. “Who talks like that?” You laughed lightly then groaned to yourself, “god damn it, I love him so much!”

Sayaka Maizono - (She/Her, bi male pref) Built like a standard jpop idol, what else do you expect? She definitely puts blush and highlighter on her nose like a 2020 egirl.

Chihiro Fujisaki - (She/They, trans-femme (questioning), pan) All around petite, even their feet are tiny. Has chubby cheeks and a slight gap in her front teeth.

Mondo Oowada - (He/Him, gay) Muscular and a bit stocky, has naturally curly hair when he lets it down. Has scars on his hands from busting his knuckles. Pierced eyebrow, septum, and ears.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru - (He/Him, demisexual gay) Has a gym regimen that he sticks to religiously and is well muscled. He has fuller lips and a round face that don’t quite suit his body.

Celestia Ludenberg - (She/They, bi fem pref) She is plus sized and has an slight hourglass figure that is accentuated by her corset. Draws their eyebrows on in thin triangles and has a trad goth makeup look. Snakebites and stretched ears.

Hifumi Yamada - (He/They, aroace) We all know the man is fat, but the game really did him dirty. His body in my headcanon is evenly portioned and he has more of a hanging stomach that is tucked in his pants. Always wears comfy clothes because of sensory issues and has somewhat curly hair.

Sakura Ogami - (She/Her, pan) She’s already perfect in game. I do see her having softer facial features and thick curly hair though. She also loves to wear nude tinted lipgloss when she isn’t actively training.

Aoi Asahina - (She/Her, Lesbian) Midsized with thick thighs and muscular arms. Has a really cute button nose and a dusting of freckles. Has a small gold hoop nose ring.

Junko Enoshima - (She/Her, pan) She’s a supermodel, so yeah. She wears hair extensions, and her natural hair is pin straight. Has a small, upturned nose. (She also wears push up bras)

Mukuro Ikusaba - (She/They, Lesbian) All around muscular from combat training. Has freckles on her shoulders as well and scars on her hands/arms from knife fights.

Kyoko Kirigiri - (She/Her, bi, female pref) Slim and relatively flat chested, but doesn’t mind at all. Has very light colored eyelashes that match her hair.

Yasuhiro Hagakure - (He/Him, pan) Just kind of an average guy. He doesn’t work out or anything, so he’s a little bit soft. Scraggly facial hair. Likes to wear his locs in a ponytail with a bandanna, and he has some wood and glass beads in them. Pierced nostril and ears.

Toko Fukawa - (She/Her, Lesbian with one exception) Kind of scrawny and awkward. Hates wearing form-fitting clothes. Has knobby knees and doesn’t like wearing skirts that show them. Thick hair and eyebrows. She has freckles on her shoulders and a few other dark moles on her arms and back, like the one on her face. Is actually quite pretty, but doesn’t put any time into her appearance.

Byakuya Togami - (He/Him, Somewhere on the ace spectrum) Tall and thin, but not in an unhealthy way. Has long elegant fingers and big feet. Softer, androgynous looking facial features and double eyelashes.

Makoto Naegi - (He/Him FtM, pan) Is just kind of naturally chubby, and has a round baby face. Hasn’t had top surgery, but his body shape kind of evens him out. Thick, wavy hair. Has a gap in his front teeth and kind of a wide flat-ish nose with full lips.

ALOTO Reflections

So I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to think of how I want to phrase my thoughts post finishing the season and I can’t promise full consistency or coherency but there’s something I want to explore and praise so much that my rambling be damned. So as my girl Issa once said, I go into every show like

Y’all I had such low expectations for Max’s storyline. I’m a fan of the original movie and I thought maybe they’d expand that minute with those black women to idk 5 in a few episodes then pat themselves on the back for a “diversity win” BUT THEY DIDN’T DO THAT!

Forewarned there will probably be spoilers ahead. Listen, I love period pieces so much and as a black woman, I’m so used to it being about nothing but our trauma as if one of the defining characteristics of Black people in the US isn’t finding joy in the most unimaginable circumstances. And beyond that, I’m used to seeing us portrayed as one dimensional as if we don’t have our own community and struggles and layers.

Instead of those maybe 5 minutes I expected, we got Max and her place in a family who experiences a wonderful amount of success and status. I fucking love that her mom Toni not only owns her own business but it’s a beauty salon. One of the epicenters of black femininity specifically. I love that this is the legacy she wants to leave for Max and the fact that it won’t work for Max. Not only is there the very obvious fact that baseball is Max’s dream but also she interacts with her gender expression (as a fucking stud be still my weak lesbian heart) in a way where being in this very specifically defined feminine space would be stifling. BUT ALSO! That salon is home. Max won’t let a stranger cut her hair, she goes to her uncle because she needs the connection that exists in her family and her community. AND THEY SHOWED US THAT!

Clance, dear Lord, my beloved Clance. They gave Max not just a funny sassy sidekick but a woman who is supportive, hilarious and a vintage blerd (black nerd for those unaware). Also we get that lovely conflict of Clance being so stressed out about her housewarming because she doesn’t have the success of the Chapmans. Her place is still being established in her community. I just don’t have the words for how fucking rare that is to see portrayed in a lot of media much less in a period piece. Also all those instances where Clance tries to hold Max back because she knows the dangers of losing your shit in front of white folks. It’s an ever present force in both of their lives and the way they remind each other and protect each other, I could just sob.

ALSO! I’m so beyond thrilled at the romances between black folks. Max’s parents are adorably and disgustingly in love and we don’t get that often enough with our legacies of families torn apart and violence (which are very real but it’s not all that exists). We also get Clance and Guy. I LOVE GUY. He’s so sweet and loves Clance so much and they are so wonderfully supportive and vulnerable with each other. AND WE GET TO SEE IT! Then Max, my wonderful wonderful Max gets to navigate two different avenues; one in which she’s a secret side piece of someone who doesn’t fully see her and one in which nestled in the safety and community built by her uncle she gets to meet a woman not in the dim shadows of a secret but in a bright light of joy where she presents in a way where she’s finally found comfort. And Bert and Gracie, my gosh Bert and Gracie, they’re like a queer version of my favorite aunt and uncle and they give Max a place and hope and they’re SO IN LOVE.

Honestly this was all beyond my wildest dreams and while I find myself grateful, I’m also in a place where I’m like it’s what we deserve. In fact we deserve whole shows like this in any period of time because we’re worthy and see what beautiful stories we can be?? Anyway, I’m going to go back to sobbing and probably rewatch this show a few more times.

ur talking lesbian byler? i go back and forth but i feel like will would be a little tomboy (maybe she actually loves baseball?). mike would be a bit more traditionally feminine, but somehow still failing to adequately perform femininity

oooooh omg omg omg. worms in my brain going crazy over this hold up

i love the idea of will actually enjoying baseball here? like, maybe this time lonnie was always trying to get her to like more feminine things, but it would backfire so much that he just gave up. he tries getting her into cheerleading and she's more interested in the other sport they're cheering for (and point-blank ignores the cheerleaders, because she doesn't want to get caught staring at them).

"but somehow still failing to adequately perform femininity" feels right. femininity as a costume or uniform, something she puts on but never feels quite right in. i struggle to picture mike without his headstrong, scrappy, fierce personality, so i do love the dichotomy of mike looking every bit a "traditional woman", but it starts to fall apart whenever you look at the way she carries herself or she speaks.

she tries to perform her role, but she can't deny her nature. she can't make herself smaller, quieter, more palatable—not without lucas's help, telling her what it is that guys like. and now that they're all getting older, she needs to start focusing on them—boys, and being liked by them—and not will, who keeps clinging to the past and doesn't seem to care at all.

instead of forgetting that will is in the room like in season three, maybe she just... does that thing where she elevates herself and puts down girls like will in the process of making herself more available to men. she starts dressing a little nicer, wears actual makeup now. instead of messing around and playing games, she wants to go on dates and gossip. just... the overcompensating deep dive into perceived Acceptable Womanhood^tm, because of outside pressure and her feelings for will morphing into something that simply doesn't fit within that framework. and mike just can't have that. not when he's so close to being Normal.

continuing with that, i do also like the idea of mike being the type of woman that can wholly accept that there are many ways to be a woman, but thinking that she, herself, cannot have the same freedom. she's scared of what it would mean, as a lesbian, to navigate a world incognizant of the desires of men, because she just struggles to wrap her mind around that. that she can exist as is and not have her worth be tied to her desirability.

she looks at will, and she loves her wholeheartedly, she does, but she's just—scared. scared of having to become her own person. scared of redefining her meaning of success. scared, because it's new. scared, the same way that an animal raised in a cage fears the outside world. scared, because now she'd be seen and loved for who she is, and not based on how well she could play her part.

hm. that bit about mike just Got to me. mike being unable to embrace her homosexuality, because it's at odds with her attempt at Womanhood; and her attempts at Womanhood, which is centered entirely on what others believe it should be, feel inadequate and inauthentic because she's so out of touch with her own true womanhood (which absolutely does have the space to accommodate homosexuality without canceling any other part of her identity out).

succession s4 e1 recap: bridget random-fuck and the logan roy selfie fiasco

happy return of succession, everyone! and with that, my completely unhinged and ridiculously time consuming recaps. i was honestly not sure i wanted to go down this rabbit hole for another season, but given that it is our last, i think i'll have to.

my coping mechanism currently is complete and utter denial. let's see how long that lasts.

we start off the episode at the most depressing birthday party there ever was. did you think the season one birthday party was bad? at least there was baseball and logan nearly dying. in season four it's all greg calling himself an honorary kid and fingering a girl called bridget in the guest room.

in california, the siblings are pitching investors on a new media venture. as per usual, there's a lot of bullshitting involved and i can't tell if kendall is high or not during all of it, but it's nice to see the sibs be a team - at least for now.

back in new york, kerry is not happy with greg bringing bridget random-fuck to logan's party. couldn't agree more.

as for shiv, she is totally fine with the idea of tom getting a drink with naomi pierce.

if this was any other show, i'd launch the theory that shiv is pregnant right here. but this is succession, so that seems unlikely.

also, maybe i'm just projecting, knowing that snooks is pregnant.

connor is polling at one percent, but is getting squeezed. as willa says, it's all super greedy, since his opponents already have all the other percents.

bridget random-fuck keeps causing problems. first, she posts about a pierce family member being at the birthday party on social media, then she asks logan for a selfie saying, and i kid you not, kar-ching.

all the unhinged gerri kellman lesbians immediately notice her in the background, judging.

bridget is like an unhinged version of greg in the first episode of season one. good for her.

meanwhile the birthday boy is having a great time without his kids. nothing screams birthday like contemplating your own mortality.

i've also seen some posts that are like "wow so much has happened in ONE year", indicating that this is logan's 81st birthday, but i'm not sure. they don't mention his age specifically, so i think we can just live with the ambiguity of whatever timeline we are comfortable with.

i personally think it's been a few years at least. if not, shiv and tom's marriage would have lasted what, six, seven months? rude.

after shiv's phone call with tom, the kids start realizing that logan is planning to buy PGM (again), and they immediately back out of the business venture they have been planning for the last few months.

and the award for most delusional goes to kendall for this comment:

roman is the only one that's not into buying up a dying media conglomerate because he is a girlboss. he's really the only one who wants to build up a new company from scratch and i'm so proud of him.

what a journey we roman fans have been on. truly.

logan takes his best pal, colin, on a date, and we realize, once again, that logan respects the people who work for him more than he ever will his children, because his children have been given everything all their lives.

logan does a whole "is there anything after death" shakespearean monologue and the odds that he will die by the end of this season are forever in our favor. this pleases me:)

connor wants to use his wedding as a political stunt, which makes me think the timeline of this season will be super short. will all the episodes take place during the ten days leading up to the election?

seems strange, given that they travel to norway, but it's an interesting thought.

greg has sex in the guest room and logan has CCTV. or at least tom wants greg to believe he does. anyway, i don't really want to get into it. poor bridget.

gerri, it seems, is still out in the cold after the dickpick ordeal. truly destabilizing to see our queen on shaky ground, but also good for her that she gives less of a fuck, leaving karl to look like this:

perfection. he is and will always be a true foodie.

anyway, logan doesn't take the news that his kids also want to buy pierce well.

on the west coast (in napa?), nan is truly weaponizing her liberal image and the whole "i'm just an old lady who doesn't understand capitalism"-vibe.

the kids offer up 10 bill for PGM. it feels extremely rushed and stupid and driven by revenge, but i'm glad to know roman knows how many zeros there are in a billion.

someone get him to new york asap so he can show gerri.

the kids win the bid and logan is not happy:

so they lie there for a bit and hold hands and all of a sudden i realize that this stupid show has done it again. they made me care about a bunch of terrible, rich people. AGAIN.

during the last scene, we get one of the best lines of the episode:

logan is at home, alone, watching ATN and calling cyd to complain. i honestly can't tolerate cyd slander. that being said, i do hope we get a war of the networks between ATN and PGM moving forward.

gladly. i love talking about her

shes a 20 something year old german trans woman living in nz. shes 5'10" (somewhere around like 177.80cm) and a lesbian. she uses she/her pronouns but is fine with being called a guy or people using he/him for her as long as she know they believe her when she says shes a woman (like they dont mean it in a transphobic way). she has a deep voice and a german accent i havent really got much of the worldbuilding down yet but i do have most of her personality down. also her story takes place in some vague year between 2000 and now

shes kinda a huge loser like in the sense that she spends most of her time just sorta sitting around at home drinking beer and smoking while listening to industrial and hardcore and metal and shit (shes almost definitely depressed but im yet to explore that side of her lmao). she drinks and drives, shes incredibly wreckless. she kinda doesnt care that much about others but more in a way where shes just kinda always in her own head only thinking about herself and what she wants but when it comes to the people close to her shes incredibly protective like a guard dog. she acts like kinda a silly idiot around her loved ones but as soon as someone even looks at any of them wrong, shes fully ready to kill them. she clings onto her friends and stuff like theyre the last thing she has left. less in a desperate kinda codependent way and more in a "i could not live without you i will protect you with all i have trust me please stick around and keep me in your life i will make my existence worth your while" kind of way

shes a wannabe badass but also just is a badass. like she acts all cold and stoic but laid back, i guess in a way trying to seem all mysterious and cool but mostly just comes off like a bit of a jackass (cause she kinda is a bit of a jackass but she means well. sometimes.) i havent got to this part of the worldbuilding so i dont have an explanation for why she is this way but im planning that theres something she has to fight against or something like that. i have a bit of a vague idea of what i want but no specifics but she has a side to her where like shes actually kinda badass. she wears a wolf mask and carries around this baseball bat which the tip is like covered in nails and shit. im planning she gets covered in blood often because women covered in blood is awesome. im planning a theme with the group of characters she hangs out with where they all wear some kind of animal mask and each have their own weapon which like reflects their personality and whatnot

she works in a fast food restaurant which i feel like explains a lot about her

she mostly wears the mask to hide her identity but also to just hide her face in general. shes not insecure about how she looks but more just worried about what other people think of her. shes on hrt but she wants to keep her body hair cause she likes her body hair which includes her facial hair though she does regularly shave it cause she knows it gets her misgendered. she also wears a spiked collar and sometimes a leash (if shes not wearing a leash shes wearing some kind of bondage harness thing) both to continue the whole wolf dog thing shes got going on and also for sexual reasons of course

she has a romance thing going on with another oc of mine called blair (the name is a placeholder im so bad at picking names). blairs tiger/big cat coded shes more of the happy-go-lucky chaotic type. sophia goes incredibly soft for her like the whole trying to be a stoic badass thing completely drops around her she would sacrifice herself in a heartbeat if it meant blair was kept alive and safe which worries the fuck out of blair cause half the time she does not need to sacrifice herself but she puts herself in danger for blair often times for no reason cause she believes its what she needs to do to keep her safe. like her life is meaningless without blair so she'd rather be the one to die than live without blair. which like yeah theres a flaw in her logic cause like if she dies shes still without blair and now blairs sad but yknow. maybe she'll figure that out someday not sure tho shes a little stupid

idk what else to write so ill just add little tiny things i added to her for fun her favourite movie is evil dead 2 (this is me projecting onto her), she moans when she pees, she would give everything to be a werewolf, she had her drivers license taken from her she still drives tho. she shouldnt but she does, she hates beer but drinks it anyways. i think she doesnt know theres other kinds of alcohol. no idea how she doesnt know maybe she just hates herself and wants to drink shit that tastes bad for fun,

Fair Season{R.B.}

Warnings: Fair food. Lots of food mentions.

Pairing: Robin Buckley x reader

Robin was nervously doing her makeup in Steve’s car, trying not to get any on the seat. She had been talking Steve’s ear off about the date for a week now. Steve was just as excited for Robin as Robin was excited for the day.

“Can you please explain why you’re so nervous?” Steve asked, looking over at Robin periodically. “I’m getting second-hand anxiety from you.”

Robin smiled lightly at Steve’s statement. “Not possible to get second-hand anxiety from someone doing their makeup,” She teased. “But seriously, I feel so lucky to find a girl like this in Hawkins. She belongs in a big city that will appreciate her, not here where everyone shuns her plans and passions,” Robin said.

Realization flashed across Steve’s face. “Oh... I see what’s going on here...”

“What?” Robin asked, putting her stuff in the backseat since she was done.

“You’re in LlllOoOoOooVvVVvvveEeE!” Steve teased.

“What? No! Not true!” Robin panicked. “I just admire. From afar. Because I get nervous around her.”

“She asked you out?” Steve asked.

“One hundred percent.” Robin admitted, brushing a strand of hair out of her face. “In my defense I was right there! It was on the tip of my tongue. I just... couldn’t express it into words.”

Steve shrugged. “I genuinely don’t know the dynamics in a lesbian relationship so I’m just gonna say good job.”

Robin laughed at him and leaned back, finally relaxing. “Thanks. I just don’t know why she asked to go to the fair.”

“Well, in my experience of having a girlfriend in the summer, it’s because of the vibes.” Steve told Robin, adjusting his grip on the wheel. “You know, winning her something so she feels like you’re the best person in the world, eating fair food and laughing together, and, if it goes well, Ferris Wheel kisses.” Steve listed, remembering his past experiences.

Robin smiled at the thought of doing all of those things with you. “So, what I’m hearing is that only people who are super into you ask to go to the fair with you. Am I getting that right?” She asked.

“... Yes. That is what I just said isn’t it?” Steve asked, looking at her like she grew two heads.

“Steve, don’t pass it!” Robin shouted out of nowhere. “Right right right!”

“Right!” Steve repeated. “I forgot.”

He pulled up next to you and let Robin out.

“Thanks Steve!” She said as she got out.

Steve rolled the passenger side window down. “Have fun you crazy kids. Robin, I’ll pick you up in a couple hours.” He said, mostly just to mess with her.

“Thanks Dad!” Robin chuckled a bit at his joke and held her arm out for you to take.

You smiled brightly at Robin and she could have sworn her soul healed a little.

You threaded your arm through hers and took her through the entrance. “You ready to have the time of your life?” You asked excitedly.

Robin smiled and pointed to a booth, remembering Steve’s words. “Do you want a bear?”

Your face lit up and it made Robin’s heart flutter. “I would love that!”

Robin walked up to it and put down 25 cents. She was given three baseballs and given instructions. “You’ll win that bear-” The guy running it pointed to the bear- “If you can knock down all the cans.”

“Yeah! Go Robin!” You cheered next to her.

Robin focused as hard as she could and missed. All three times. Robin put down more money, mostly out of embarrassment but also because she saw your face when she suggested it. She had to win.

You leaned on the counter next to her and cheered her on, even though she kept missing.

After she spent two dollars on the game you intervened. “Robin, do you wanna go get funnel cakes or something? I don’t need a bear,” You tried.

“No, no, I got it.” She assured you. “I’m determined now.”

You smiled and kissed her cheek. “Good luck then, I’ll be back. I’m bringing funnel cakes.”

Robin stared as you walked off and, once again, put down 25 cents.

Meanwhile, you were stuck in a forever long line for greasy fair food. You were fine with it though, you had Robin to go back to.

After a while you got your food and met Robin at the booth where the guy running it was handing over a large stuffed bear that was the size of her. “Got it!” She announced proudly when she saw you walking toward her.

You laughed at her enthusiasm and nodded toward the Ferris Wheel. “My dad said he was picking me up at three and it’s currently two-forty-five.” You said, hoping she’d get the hint.

Robin bit her lip to contain her excitement. “Let’s do it!”

No one was in line for the Ferris Wheel so you two were able to walk on without any problems. Robin pushed the bear in and took the food from you so you get get in easily.

“Thanks Robin,” You giggled. “This has been the best hour and a half of my summer by far.”

“I’m glad! That’s what I was going for,” She said as she peeled off a bit of funnel cake.

You looked out when you got to the top and stared in awe as you looked over Hawkins, Indiana.

Robin had been staring at you a bit as she took in your features.

How could someone so beautiful and perfect come from the middle of nowhere?

“So, we’re at the top...” You pointed out.

“Yep. It’s great out here.”

You swallowed harshly before asking your question. “Do you want to do the stereotypical Ferris wheel kiss you see in movies?” You asked shyly.

Robin grabbed your face and leaned forward, capturing your lips in hers. When she pulled back after a second your eyes were wide.

“I loved that.”

“So did I,” Robin smiled.

You two got off the Ferris Wheel hand-in-hand and threw away your trash. Robin walked with you to the parking lot and waved you off, Steve pulling in just as you left.

Robin got into his car with dreamy look in her eyes.

“So... how’d it go?” He asked. “Tell me everything.”

Robin turned to face him excitedly. “First things first! I won her a bear that is as big as I am.”

“Classic,” Steve said.

Robin rolled her eyes before continuing. “Then we ate funnel cakes in the Ferris Wheel. And, don’t freak out,” Robin said, holding her hands out.

“Why would I freak out?” Steve asked.

“We kissed,” Robin said.

Steve looked excited. “You guys lived a movie! I can see you two together for many years to come.”

Robin sighed and leaned back in her seat. “I hope so.”

Bunch of new pieces this week!

Good evening!

Apologies for the lack of email last week, and the lack of bonus erotica episode too - I'm traveling back and forth at the moment as I try to sort out flat stuff, and unfortunately my asthma is kicking my ass at the moment and making it really hard to sit and record audio even when I have the time. I'm hoping after some rest my chest will chill out a bit and I'll be able to record by next week, but unfortunately it's not predictable.

Media Recs

Fashioning a Fop by Damien Locke- Short fiction. An 18th century tale of a trans man discovering himself through dressing in men’s clothing for the first time. This piece is fucking spectacular, so gorgeously written and with such wonderful 1700s-style prose, very hot, very fun!

What's in the Tea? by Achilles King - Short fiction. 18+ Erotica. Cis M/M and Cis M/Trans M. This is a gorgeous little piece playing with massage and the drugging effects of a particular tea, and I love the power play in this one.

The Music Man (1962, dir. Morton DaCosta) - A musical! I've been in the mood for musicals the past few days, and I enjoyed this one a lot more than I expected - a lot of the music has really stuck with me, I love the brass band stuff and the rapid patter pace of the show, especially because I love a conman. With that said, Marian Paroo is a ridiculous name for a woman - the librarian love interest should be a man. I also watched and enjoyed Sweet Charity (1969, dir. Bob Fosse), and I never realised Big Spender was from this show! So that was fun.

I had a gay movie marathon with my boyfriend, Lewis, so first we watched A League Of Their Own (1992, dir. Penny Marshall) and Thelma and Louise (1991, dir. Ridley Scott). These are both great films, obviously - A League of Their Own is a semi-biographical story about the first female baseball league in the USA during the war, and the second is a crime drama with two besties/lovers stuck in an escalating spiral after one of them shoots an attempted rapist. Lewis was surprised that Thelma and Louise is actually gay, so just FYI, it really is actually gay! It's not a happy ending and it's not uncomplicated, but Thelma and Louise are such great characters, and I love them a lot.

We also watched a favourite of mine, which is Gods and Monsters (1998, dir. Bill Condon), starring Ian McKellen and Brendan Fraser. If you love sexy manipulative old gay men fucking with the heads of younger mostly straight men who don't know how to deal with being the object of a man's desire, who are terrified of queerness on so many levels, but are also drawn to the novel and new? Yeah, baby. This is the flick for you.

Goetia (2016) - This is a point-and-click videogame that I played on PS4, although I also have it on PC, and I just finished it today. If you're interested in demonology and you love a 20th century haunted house, this is a short game with some great character writing and a really engaging mystery - a lot of it is pretty fucking creepy, and while the ending didn't entirely land for me, I enjoyed the game enough that I do want to recommend it. This is fucking difficult as a puzzle game, though, so definitely keep a notepad and pen handy.

We also caught the Super Mario Bros. (2023, dir. Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath) movie, and it was grand - it was honestly very well-paced, funny, and they did a lot of creative stuff with the source material, plus I'm obviously disgustingly horny for Bowser at all times, so it was good food for my libido.

With that said, it was a bit too aggressive with the heterosexuality, and the racial politics of the whole thing are... Fucking bad. Like, there's a lot to unpack there that I'd need a whole essay to pick apart, and as a white dude I really don't know that it's my place - there's always been some racism in the franchise, like the British studio's addition of a lot of anti-Black coding in making Donkey Kong 64, but just the whole vibe of the Mushroom Kingdom's worship of Princess Peach is like... Weird.

And lastly, I watched and loved The Wicker Man (1973, dir. Robin Hardy), and I have an extensive review below.
