THE ENTO LIFE - WHITE CHEDDAR AND COTTON CANDY CRICKET KICKERS REVIEW

You voted, I ate! They arrived faster than I expected honestly, which is exciting and somewhat dread inducing given what was picked- But eating them wasn't as tough as I expected, as I guess whatever fears I had over the concept of eating crickets went away after I stopped to think about how, yeah, people eat bugs all the time! So, with that being said, let's get into it-

(Quick note that I'll be rating these on a true 0 - 10 scale, so 5 is average/mid, not 7)

TEXTURE:

I knew they would be roasted but, honestly, I didn't expect them to be quite so dry. They're crunchy, and sort of break into little bits, kind of like if you mixed pork rinds with half-popped popcorn, and if that sounds good to you then I don't blame you, but for me it detracted from the experience a bit. Maybe it'd be better if they were ground up and put in something though?

Texture Rating: 5/10

FLAVOR (WHITE CHEDDAR):

This is what I tried first, and I wasn't really too enthusiastic about it, because I don't really like white cheddar, it's ok but it's definitely one of my least favorite cheeses. I was right to be unenthused it seems as these crickets didn't taste good in the slightest to me, as not only was the white cheddar very present, but it didn't mix with the somewhat nutty and already kind of sharp cricket flavor very well, and the aftertaste really stays with you, so this was just overall unpleasant. If you gave me a small bowl of these, I could bear it, but I'm not gonna like it.

Flavor Rating: 3/10

FLAVOR (COTTON CANDY):

These absolutely shocked me, as I was expecting to be equally as disgusted by these as I was by the white cheddar, but to my surprise, I liked these a lot better- Now, do they taste like cotton candy? Ehhh not really. But what they do kind of taste like is whoppers candy/maltesers/milk duds, which is a big plus for me! Malt chocolates have never been my absolute favorite sweets, but I still like them quite a bit, so this was a welcome surprise. The aforementioned flavor profile of the cricket does hit pretty quick, and like before, the aftertaste does seem to stay a while, which detracts a little bit, but these are kind of good! I could see it working in a smoothie.

Flavor Rating: 6 or 7/10

PRESENTATION:

This doesn't mean much when it comes to the snacks themselves, but I have to comment on it! I love the fact they come in vial-like tubes like this, plus the label design and bonus pin is a nice touch. I do kind of wish the containers were glass and metal though instead of plastic all the way through, although I understand why they did it the way they did.

Presentation Rating: 8/10

In conclusion, while I probably won't be getting these again, I'm glad I tried these, and it makes me curious to try other edible bugs! Would I recommend them? Well if the concept of the flavors or the way I described them seems appealing to you, then sure! and even if not, then I would at least recommend looking into other flavors or types of edible bug, as eating bugs isn't really that weird, it's just another type of food to experience!

- About;

- Rodion Mahari - he/him

Rodion's name came from the book Crime and Punishment, one of my favorites of all time (and I absolutely recommend!! Read it!!). In the book, Rodion Raskólnikov is the main character and I knew I LOVED the name (I keep saying it aloud as a vocal stim even years after I read the book xD).

Mahari is his partner's surname, my best friend's @isazmoon former oc.

- Carpenter

His work aboard Blithe consist of maintenance and woodwork along the vessel; given that it was Rodion's former job before piracy, he spends most of his time taking care of Blithe. A skilled carpenter can keep the ship afloat even with major damage, just enough for it to reach a safe place to be restored - and that Rodion knows how to do really well.

Other than that, Rodion is also a really skilled fighter as gunner, that being his secondary role.

- God of Gold, of Lighting and of Woodwork

As many of the other members of the crew, Rodion is no more than a minor God - and the last one of the Gods to be presented. He's not powerful, but can still manage with what he has.

Rodion is capable of manipulating gold and turning things in it by touch, although generally speaking he tries not to use it. It's a temporary thing and normally whatever he turns into gold will turn back to normal in a while - unless it's a curse (for example, turning people in gold as punishment for a wrongdoing).

Lightning manipulation is another of his abilities; Rodion is able to store electricity in his body and project it out in bursts, although it can be dangerous to him and people around. It is strictly used during battles and can't be used out of it, given the risk.

Rodion is a really strong and tough guy, given his boar-like phisique. He can endure a good amount of strikes and punches - it does get to him eventually, tho. Boy's always complaining because he does shit, gets hurt and only feels it a good time later.

Finally, turning into a boar. He uses it to scare people and pull pranks. He's a menace. His children love it tho-

- Personality

Rodion may be big and tough but he's a gentle soul, with a big heart full of love to give. He's a cuddle bug, extremely caring and thoughtful of people. Rodia is the type of guy who'll not hesitate in potting his own life on the line for the sake of others (as many of his friends will attest, including his children).

Most of the time, Rodion is a confident jokester (seriously, him and Sirius should be kept very much apart or they'll wreck the whole ship). He does like to seem scary and intimidating at first, but really he's just a sweetheart.

Rodion is illiterate and dyslexic, almost completely unable to read or write, that being his biggest insecurity about himself. He tries to read simple books, mainly children's ones and comics, since he finds the images helpful. He's still a romantic soul and tries to write letters and poems to his wife, even though they are hard to comprehend and he can only string together simple words; she still saves every single one of them with a lot of love.

Most of the time, he makes carvings on wood to gift his loved ones; gift giving is his main love language.

He's a magnet of people, almost everyone is immediately drawn to him - maybe that's how he ended up with three adoptive children (Enoch, Olive and Kanna).

Funfact: Rodion met his wife after a street fight against her brother. It was truly something. I may or may not need to write it eventually-

Soooo. This is incredibly niche. But I’m back on my Transformers bullshit so why not…. Mash my two hyperfixations together like a caveman trying to start a fire.

Pokemon Scavio Characters Transformers Alt Modes

Nemona - A motorcycle fits her well I think. She’d have a side car for her friends because they mean a lot to her. Only Penny is small enough to fit.

Penny - If we are going only Cybertronian animals. Turbofox because they look the closest to an Eevee. But honestly, I think she should just straight up have an Eevee alt mode.

Arven - Just. An oven. A big, giant oven. Bake a cake in him. I dare you.

Hassel - A dragon. One, I think it’d be funny as hell. Two, Predaking from Prime is hot and so is Hassel. And also: It’d still fit well with his from an ancient dragon trainer family who ran away to do music backstory. Except he’s the dragon.

Brassius - Something small and not built for fighting I think… Maybe a flashdrive?? To store images of his art and art history. I think it’d fit with how he was sickly and sort of weak when he first met Hassel.

Katy - A little volkswagen beetle. I was gonna just do an insect alt mode. Like. A katydid. But I think the pun with a little bug car is infinitely funnier.

Kofu - A boat. That’s really it, bro is a boat.

Grusha - A snowmobile, one of those really fast ones but an accident has rendered his tcog beyond repair and he can no longer transform.

Ryme - A speaker, kind of self explanatory considering her music career.

Iono - A camcorder! She makes guests on her stream hold her whenever anything good is happening. Also won’t stop recording people in real time.

Tulip & Miriam - They’re both jets. It’s said in game by one of the NPCs that Miriam used to be a model before she became the Academy’s nurse and I like to imagine her and Tulip as former coworker/friends. So they’re both jets and former seekers LOL.

Larry - I have no proof that transformers can have office supplies as an alt mode but this man screams stapler.

Rika - A dirt bike! I was gonna go motorcycle because sleek and she would love to do tricks, but a dirt bike would be good for her Ground-typing speciality. She’s always covered in mud.

Poppy - A little armored car! It goes with her Steel-typing speciality.

Geeta - The champion gets to be a triple changer. Jet and car combo. She has to go fast to get to all the places she’s needed at.

Clavell & Jacq - Both are microscopes, Clavell’s is a stronger one though I think.

Salvatore - A sports car, sleek and cool for a sleek and cool guy. He’s not big for joy rides though.

Tyme - An SUV. Very strong, sturdy, and reliable!

Saguaro - A tank! I think it fits well with his students thinking he’s a big tough guy, when he’s really a total sweetheart.

Raifort - A drone perhaps… Maybe I just have Earthspark on the brain but it’s small and it’d make it easy for her to access hard to get to historical spots. Also Raifort seems like someone who eavesdrops LOL.

Turo - Something stupid and machine-y. Like a centrifuge.

Sada - Straight up a dinosaur… Thinking. Pterosaur?? Because Roaring Moon kind of looks like one. I know those aren’t dinos technically but whatevs.

Ortega - A car, but a pink one so he’s REALLY conspicuous. He’s the mechanic who built the star mobiles so I think it works.

Eri - A tank! Big and strong, though she prefers hand to hand combat and training rather than relying on her alt mode.

Mela - A flamethrower. Someone has to hold her, usually Eri.

Giacomo - A soundboard. His favorite sounds are “Bruh” and a fart noise. Another team star member who needs to be held.

Atticus - An arachnid, specifically a black widow. Not only does it help him make Team Star costumes with webbing, but also ties in with his Poison-type focus.

lucky egg: gym theme/team

dark type mixed in with fairy type, gym would be a dark indoors environment with lots of neon lights and music playing, emulating a rave or night club but being quieter and organized to actually facilitate people going through it. i think youd either need to do a rhythm minigame with your mon having it "dance" by hitting the correct arrows (think ddr type reactions) or identify diff pokemon shadows.

as for my team, it kind of changes depending on if a recent gen mon has captured my heart or not, but i know a few mons that NEED to appear: togekiss, obstagoon n tyranitar

i LOVE WHIMSICOTT soooo very much, i remember when i first saw it i just fell in love. i remember dutifully looking around the rustling grass when i was playing bc i wanted to use one RIGHT AWAY and did not want to get a cotonee and THEN wait til i get a sun stone. yes it had less moves but i didnt care, i had my precious fluffy sheep mon.

honorable mentions include scolipede because i love centipedes, swoobat because its just so cute n is heart themed, and volcarona because its a moth and thats another of my favorite bugs!!!

THATS A TOUGH ONE!! i really like all butterfly and moth mons for reasons discussed before.

that being a said a few top cuts probably include:

heracross (not lepidoptera inspired but beetle inspired which is still another bug i love also it just has the cutest face), beautifly (an og fave of mine i loved it since i was a kid), masquerain (what beauty! what grace! n it even has patterns that relate to mimetism!), mothin (moth :3), scolipede (discussed before), volcarona (ditto), snom + frosmoth (snom is SO cute n again!! fromoth is A MOTH)

11. favorite trial (sun & moon)

So I am actually going to do one for Sun and Moon and one for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, because they do differ!

So for Sun and Moon, I'm gonna go with the Ghostium Z trial/Totem Mimikyu trial! I enjoyed that the trials all had different vibes, but this one was the only one where the entire vibe shift really felt like it Happened. Like don't get me wrong, it's still a Pokemon game, it's not even remotely scary, but the atmosphere DOES shift and you do get to go through a little haunted area. And I mean...Mimikyu, come on. Also the very end with what Acerola says, love that.

For Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, I'm going with the Waterium Z trial/Totem Araquanid trial! This trial differs from Sun and Moon, which is a fight against a Wishiwashi; in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon you are herding Wishiwashi, and right as they start their school form, an Araquanid bursts up from below. It just looks so cool???? Here is someone's video of it, should be timestamped! [video by EsteeMcCrawly on Youtube] And anyone who knows me knows I love Bug types and Water types SO.

Brief runner-ups to the Firium Z and Grassium Z trials. For Firium, the "find the difference" game is fun esp when they toss in the hiker, it's just so silly, and for Grassium, love cooking for Pokemon and super love Lurantis.

20. least favorite pokemon game

Hmmm another tough one. Usually no matter the game I find things I enjoy, and I haven't ever hated any game. My gut instinct is to say the Brilliant Diamond/Sparkling Pearl remakes, but that was because the questionable Field of View blur effect they used actually gave me a headache and made it difficult to play for long. :'D

HOWEVER I think that would be cheating, so I'm gonna go with Pokemon Sword and Shield. Now don't get me wrong, I did still find things to enjoy in these games! And the DLCs are SUPER GOOD [but they shouldn't have been DLC]. However...a lot just wasn't it, honestly. Part of my disappointment was it was the first new big Pokemon game on Switch, and I feel like they could have done SO MUCH MORE. Like the Switch can run BotW but we can't have an open world Pokemon game??? TRUE open world???

That complaint aside, here's the rest. The premise overall was kinda weirdly uncomfy to me? I know it's my own issue, but the whole "hey here's all the challengers let's publicly show every single second of their entire Pokemon journey" is just so unpleasant to me. :'D Like yes there were reporters in gen 3 and it's always implied that people are loosely following the gym challenge, but NOTHING like the "EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE REGION SEES EVERY STEP YOU MAKE" of Galar.

Also I hate the uniforms, sorry not sorry. Like yes, you get to change out of yours, which is great because mandatory uniforms just suck oops. But restricting the gym leaders to always wearing that dumb uniform? Bad take imo. Like yes they make it work with accessories and stuff but cmon. Piers woulda looked so much cooler in full punk getup. Milo in farmer clothes. Avery, from the DLC, yes I do enjoy his design BUT HE'D BE SO MUCH COOLER IN A FULL SUIT.

Dynamaxing is just dumb. Tbf I think that of most new gimmicks. Z-Moves were dumb. Mega forms were dumb. I just don't like them. I'll give them points to some of the gigantamaxes at least being entertaining.

STOP PUTTING CHARIZARD IN EVERYTHING. STOP ACTING LIKE CHARIZARD IS A GIFT TO THIS PLANET. STOP ACTING LIKE CHARIZARD IS THE BEST FIRE TYPE EVER. They make part of Leon's entire personality his Charizard and I HATE it, I hate the Charizard craze that has been going on forever and SWSH got extra hate from me because of it.

Possible spoilers but Rose is such a bad villain. He's not even a good twist villain. He's just a slimy, smarmy capitalist, and that wouldn't be bad if they didn't try to make him like. Have a Altruistic Reason behind almost ending the world??? Like no I do not believe AT ALL that this man would be after energy for Galar for a thousand years in the future (SO DUMB BTW), but if they'd played him more selfish I would have at least accepted it because he comes off as every rich "philanthropist" irl to me. Richer than they need to be and donating just so they can say "oh but I'm a good one" and hoard their wealth and resources.

Also I get it's where games have been going but I hate that what would've once been post-game was instead paid DLC.

I still have so much I could say but I'm gonna stop there. x'D

24. your favorite team of pokemon you’ve ever had

Okay so people who know me know I have. No memory. Brain is swiss cheese. So I can't remember my entire teams for any game. ;-; And I either don't own or have restarted most games so uh oops.

SO INSTEAD I'm gonna list six beloved partner Pokemon. They are not necessarily more or less beloved than others and only one of them is in specific order, this is just the best I can do.

First up, Bloom the Venusaur. Bloom was my starter in Pokemon Leaf Green, and I have traded her up through every. Single. Game. She is a female Venusaur, which little me did not understand the rarity of, but now that I do I love her all the more for it. Bulbasaur is my favorite starter, so it's no surprise how much I love her.

Now that we have First Ever out of the way, these are in no order. So, next up is Iluq the Aurorus. Amaura and Aurorus are some of my favorite fossil Pokemon, if not my top faves. I love the colors, and their call is SO PRETTY. So when I got one, he of course became a staple on my team. He defs had some weaknesses, but I adore him.

Alola was honestly a great generation for me, bringing a lot of new faves, and one led to a beloved on my team, Tatiana the Lurantis. I adore the Fomantis/Lurantis line, so I acquired one ASAP. She was great in battle AND crucial for shiny hunting: she is my false swiper.

Bumble the Ribombee came in the same team as Tatiana, and I adored her so much that when I found Cutiefly pretty late-game in SWSH, I immediately dumped my Boltund [sorry Boltund] for one to remake Bumble once again. Ribbombee is just cute and sweet and my Bumble is the sweetiest. ;w;

There are a lot of Pokemon whose baby form or first form I prefer over their evolution. Pumpkaboo is one, and when I caught one in SWSH I decided that she would stay a baby, but that she would also be on my team through the entire game. Thus, enter Pie the Pumpkaboo. Pie is my precious baby and she has pickup as an ability, so she is a littol thief as well, picking up anything from repels to nuggets. uwu

Pokemon Legends: Arceus introduced a lot of cool regional variants, new evolutions, and Alpha Pokemon. But heck all of that gimme a T A N K. Omelet the Blissey, the T A N K. I acquired her fairly late game, joked with my friend that I was gonna punch Arceus with her, and then fully committed to the joke. She is now level 100 and I still have not finished the game. Strong-style Soft-boiled is hilarious. Doesn't happen in game but I do picture that every time the character I made in the game gets hurt via falling or Pokemon, Omelet pops out unprompted ready to shove an egg.

And a couple runners-up, Cinderfella the shiny Crobat. I'm counting him as a runner-up because I didn't get him until post-game! Caught a shiny Zubat in Alpha Sapphire and loved him until he evolved. Excellent friend.

Bacon the Centiskorch is another. Adore Bug, and she worked really well as a diverse move haver! Her name is Bacon because sizzlipede and centiskorch looked like bacon to me, and then her ability was White Smoke so it was perfect. XD

Ngl every time I have a team I imagine their personalities. So. Bloom would be a motherly type, mothers anything that gets near her, forgets she is no longer a Bulbasaur and thinks she can still be lap sized when she wishes to be. Iluq is a very calm mediator type; he's ancient so he has patience, and he can freeze anyone being a Problem. Tatiana is elegant and graceful, doesn't interact much but isn't cold, but also has killed before and will kill again /j [or am I]. Bumble is SO FRIENDLY AND SWEET, adores everyone.

Pie is an absolute babby, can fight if she has to but Excuse, she is Baby. Naps a lot, while not mentioned here she is definitely carried around by the Dad of the SWSH team [who I remember all of bcus I still have the game lol], Plushie the Bewear. Omelet is very concerned about everyone all the time, throws eggs at people like GET HEALTHY. Cinderfella LOOKS scary but is an absolute sweetheart, definitely a cuddler. And Bacon, Bacon I feel is the delinquent with a heart of gold. Will heck anyone up that looks at anyone she cares about wrong [esp Pie. My whole SWSH team just Pie's family apparently lol].

My favorite tropes because i think they’re amazing 💗

1) Forbidden love

EX: Character A and Character B are in love with each other but cannot be in a relationship due to some problem ( Family Rivalry, long Distance, some problem in the story)

2) Friends to Lovers

EX: Character’s A & B are friends at first and over time begging to develop romantic feelings for one another

3) Soul Mates

EX: Character A & Character B are in a sense made for one another, thus making them find they’re way to the other time and time again

4) Secret Billionare/ Idol

EX: Character A is a wealthy/ well known person however Character B falls for character A not knowing this information & Character A keeps this a secret

5) Survival Situations

EX: Character A & Character B must survive ( depends on the situation ) and in the process fall for one another

6) Small town romance

EX: Both characters are in/ grew up in a small town with one another thus making them develop feelings

some scenarios I just like :)

- When the Male character falls for the Female character first

- Nerd x Tough kid relationship

- One has a lot of energy x one likes to just chill

- Chaotic x Also chaotic

- Sleppy all the time x cuddle bug

- Tsundere x precious character

- the ‘ i hate everyone but you’ type of character = chefs kiss

THANK YOOOOUUUU!!! These were so exciting to answer 😍 under the cut bc it’s long tho:

6. What was the first Far Cry game you played?

Far Cry 3. I think it was way back in 2015. I had just cut my hair into a mohawk (at home, on my own, with a half-broken lady shaver, lots of teenage-rage and even more determination) and I was completely stunned when Citra stepped into frame frame for the first time because !!!! “Holy shit, she looks like me!”, I thought.

8. If you had to pick, what Far Cry game would you like to be stuck in and why?

Probably Far Cry 5 would be closest to what I think I could endure the longest. Sure, I am not a fan of camping or the outdoors, I am neurotic and have a lot of food compulsions which are all not very compatible with an environment that needs you to make do with what you have and where you can absolutely not be wasteful under any circumstances. I also don’t do well with loud noises, am vehemently anti guns and need several prescription meds to function. I’d probably not have A Very Fun Time™ but I’d be even more miserable in the settings of any of the other games if you really think about it. 😅 At least North America has a climate and culture I think I am at least marginally familiar with.

Rook Island would absolutely kill me, the second I merely set foot on it. Just imagine the heat, the humidity, THE BUGS!! Gosh, the bugs and sweat and dirt would get to me SO fast. (Have I mentioned the prescription meds? Yeah, the side-effects include increased photosensitivity so despite being brown, I still burn up like only Jacob could.) I feel like, if I managed to escape the pirates at all because, let’s face it, that’s the only way to even get on the islands, I’d probably get bitten by a snake, some dangerous insect or die from dehydration or eating some questionable fruit in the jungle. I also am scared of monkeys.✨ That would probably not kill me but if I, for some reason, didn’t get sent off by the pirates on an all-inclusive human trafficking trip, wildlife would definitely get me off the face of earth real quick.

It’s similar for Kyrat and Yara, but I think with the former, the altitude would be my biggest problem.

14. If you could pick one Far Cry title to play again for the first time, which would it be and why?

Most definitely FC3. It just means so much to me, more than I could put into words, and I wish I could explore the entire game once more with “fresh” eyes.

21. What boss fight is your favorite?

This is a super tough one but I think it’s the Payback mission, Vaas’ boss fight, in FC3. If not for “Take me into your heart. Accept me as your saviour. Nail me to the fucking cross and let me be reborn!” alone, then definitely for the state of frenzy you fall into when you arrive at his compound with the music rushing through your ears, amplifying in your head, the adrenaline spiking high when Vaas suddenly appears on the screens as you try to sneak in only to learn he has already expected you. Or the hallucinations!! Citra, Vaas and Jason alternating, switching places, becoming one. Did all this happen and Jason doesn’t remember or is this all just the peak of another looong horror trip? The way time slows when Jason drops the Silver Dragon and finally gets to stab Vaas as he catches it with his other hand, drunk on the powers of his tattoo and driven by blood lust running through his veins, resulting in completely overkilling his former captor — it gives me chills. It’s almost orgasmic.

Typing this out, I just realised that, despite not being physically present, Citra hovers over this scene. She was probably the last thing on both their minds as Vaas dies. God, I’m getting chills again!

On Resilience and "Being Strong"

I know these types of posts where I lay out what passes for deep thoughts in my mind aren't my most popular but I'm dropping this stuff out to clarify my own thoughts.

If any of y'all benefit from these words, that's great. If you disagree, drop me a comment or a DM because I'm still figuring stuff out myself.

The hard truth is - like most of the stuff I've written since late April - I'm writing this for one person in particular even though it's unlikely she'll read it. Well, that is what it is. I'm writing it for her anyway.

Let's get to it.

Life is hard and messy. I'm optimistic as hell but even I recognize that sometimes life throws a brick upside our head. That shit hurts! Sometimes, we might not even feel like we're going to make it through.

How we react and bounce back is called "resilience." Resilience does not mean "being strong" or "toughing out bad times."

Nah.

Bend Don't Break

There's an old parable about the mighty oak and the lowly reed. When life sends a nasty windstorm their way, the oak snaps and the reed bends and survives.

Take from that what you will but, for sure, it's a great visual about the importance of reslience.

A resilient person is flexible, adaptable, resourceful, creative, solution-minded, and know how to process and work through life's difficulties - like the metaphorical brick upside your head - in constructive ways.

Resilience doesn't mean you are going to be free from stress or difficulties. But you are going to be better equipped to bounce back, faster, and possibly stronger than before.

Treat Yourself with Kindness

You can learn and become more resilient with a tiny bit of effort. There are a lot of ways of doing this but my favorites are tied up in my four principles:

FORGIVE YOURSELF LOVE YOURSELF FORGIVE OTHERS LOVE OTHERS

Being kind to yourself, forgiving yourself, knowing you are doing your best - and no, you aren't perfect lol - helps you find a genuine path to loving yourself.

Mix in some gratitude - an attitude of looking at the good things in life that happen and, more importantly in my opinion, the things that you are proud of that you've done or accomplished.

You're pretty fucking good. You might forget it. Hell, you might not believe it :( but re-read those two paragraphs and do your best to start catching the negative stuff that tells you the opposite messages.

It takes time and it isn't easy but work it. Become your own best friend. You are always with you so it might be a good idea to become friends with yourself.

Forgiving Others

As far as forgiving others goes, well ... look ... this shit is hard to do. I understand. Someone does you wrong, it's a natural animalistic instinct to lash out and get revenge.

Fuck that. Another old parable goes: before you start off on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. One for them and one for you.

And if it isn't clear from that parable, you are harming yourself if you live for revenge. And maybe you aren't looking for revenge. Maybe it's just that person that hurt you still looms large in your mind. Bugging you. Pissing you off. Making you sad. Angry. Fearful. Whatever it is.

Well ... fuck that too.

Letting someone that hurt you live on inside your mind, hurting you further? That's double damage. Let it go. I wrote about catharsis a few days back - get to it. Vent out those emotions and feelings as much as you need to - take as many passes as you need - and get them out of your head - speak them out or write them out. And each pass you make, focus on releasing the emotions. Feel relief as you spew it out on to the page or out in the air.

And ... do your best ... I get it ... it's fucking hard ... but forgive them. They did a shitty thing. There are a lot of reasons people do shitty things. If you really want, you can try to understand them but if they are really assholes, you would have to be an asshole to understand an asshole. Fuck those people. Let them go. Forgive their pathetic choices. Assholes gonna asshole. They would love to know you are still hurting. Fuck. Them.

And if it's a good person who did a shitty thing? That's a bit easier. Forgive them. Talk it out. And ... if they do it again? Well ... that's a different discussion. I would still forgive them but disengage. They clearly are on a path that doesn't respect you. They might be a good person but you aren't vibing ... other people out there are waiting for you.

If you really can't forgive, go back to catharsis and keep grinding out the feelings and purge them little by little. Eventually the offenders won't loom so large in your life. And when they are small and hold little power, do your best to forgive them.

Loving Others

Ahhhhh ... yeah ... this is easy for most people. Sometimes it's too easy.

We want to connect with others and sometimes fall in with those who aren't deserving of our love or time. Watch out for that. I speak with a lot of people and it's clear that connecting with others in an authentic honest open ways is hard in so many ways.

It's easy to fall into relationships that don't always match our energy levels or maybe they aren't completely vibing with us. Maybe they don't treat us kindly.

Well. I'm sure this will be a big suprise: be open, honest, talk it out with them. They may or may not respond the way you want. It's ok.

Be strong. Remember "LOVE YOURSELF" comes before "LOVE OTHERS." If you aren't vibing, they aren't respecting, you are mis-aligned with energy levels and goals, it might be hard but ... move along. Find the right friends. The right loved ones.

Remember: you deserve the best, accept no less.

And when you do find the right people, be brave. Be authentic. Be transparent. Be loving. Be open.

The real jam in life is deep, meaningful connections where you are truly seen by the other person.

And I mean TRULY seen. They know you, warts and all, and they still have your back. They still love you. They support you. They care for you.

It's not easy to find these people. None of these principles are easy.

But if you keep working at them and keep them in balance, you will build resilience and be able to take that metaphorical brick upside your head and bounce back faster.

Develop Skills

The other piece of resilience is that you develop ways to deal with certain things in a healthy way.

I'm a big fan of catharsis - talking it out or writing it out. Another fundamental skill is keeping track of automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) that spring up and squish them fast.

Hold those ANTs up and look at them. Most of the time, they don't have any basis on reality. They are just self-judgments against ourselves. Maybe we are imagining what others are thinking about us (pro-tip: most people don't think about us at all - too busy worried about their own shit). Maybe we made a simple mistake and are over-exaggerating its importance. Maybe someone else made a mistake and we are taking it as they don't like us or we are hated.

There are a lot of ways to look at and squish those ANTs. Maybe I'll write them up in a separate post.

Obviously, I have had my own struggles recently with a lot of these things. I'm applying all these things to my own life and getting healthy.

They work with effort and dedication. It's like saving money or getting healthy - it doesn't happen over night. But it pays off in the end.

Top 3 Lists - Pokemon Scarlet

Hey, all. I figured it's about time to post another one of these! I really enjoyed Pokemon Scarlet, so I thought it would be fun to list off some of my favorites in a Top 3 post-- both pokemon and characters. The game certainly has plenty of both!

Top 3 Ancient Paradox Pokemon

First up, my favorite ancient pokemon. I feel as though these choices are pretty basic/what most people probably choose, but oh well, I can't really help they happen to be my favorites too. I would die for Koraidon, he is the bestest boy in the world and my precious son.

I've never been a huge fan of Mismagius (especially now knowing we could have had the infinitely more creepy Kurstraw/Pangshi), but I think Flutter Mane reboots the design in a wonderful way, which is surprising and refreshing. I've grown very fond of her.

To my amusement, I have the same feelings about Roaring Moon; I have always disliked Salamence's design, but Roaring Moon is a massive improvement on the design, which is so exciting to see. The colors are great, the feathers are an excellent addition, the long talons remind me of a bird of prey, and the whole thing has such a foreboding presence that normal Salamence's ugly shapes always lacked. The choice to lean into Mence's Mega design was smart, because they retained all the good of that design and discarded the rest. Plus, what a badass name.

I only just now noticed all my favorite choices here have feathers. Well, I suppose it makes sense, with our recent suspicion that many dinosaurs had feathers!

Top 3 Regional Form/New Evolutions/Convergent Species

I'm lumping all of these into the same category, since there isn't a huge number for any of those categories alone. When I first saw Toedscool out in the wild, I was deeply confused about what I was seeing, and when I poked it, it turned into a Ditto-- and somehow my brain concluded it must have been Ditto screwing up its attempt at imitating a Tentacool. 😂 But no, Toedscool is truly its own thing, as unsettling and strange as it is. I absolutely hated how it moved, it creeped me out. I've decided I like it for that reason. (Toedscruel is likewise unsettling and interesting, but it's not on my list because I hate TUBE MOUTHS argghh)

Farigiraf is definitely on my list. I have always loved Girafarig, and its evolution has been long, long overdue, so it's incredibly exciting to see it finally get the love it deserves. They did an excellent job with the evolution, too, it's fun and silly and cool all at once.

Finally, for my regional form choice, I'm definitely choosing Paldean Tauros. I know everyone is all excited about Wooper and Clodsire, but I was never a Wooper fan. (Sorry, Rika 💔) I'm just super excited that Tauros got such an awesome redesign, especially the Blaze breed. The changes are minor but so effective. Maybe I'm just a sucker for black-colored pokemon. This is like the shiny design Tauros always deserved and never had.

Top 3 New General Pokemon

This really is a tough choice to make, because Scar/Vio has a LOT of new pokemon to choose from. But I think I've finally narrowed it down to these lads. Klawf is the perfect example of a simple but elegant design. Sometimes "a big crab" is enough to be enjoyable because, well, I like crabs. What can I say, I know what I like.

Grafaiai is the very definition of "skrunkly," so there's no way I can resist putting him on the list. Aye-ayes are fascinating little freaks and it's great to have a pokemon based off them, put I enjoy the inspiration they also drew from lemurs. It's also great to have a poison pokemon taking up the traditional position of "early game normal-type rodent pokemon." Poison pokes are just cool. The association with spray paint and urban art is also really fun.

If any of you know me, you'll know I of course consider bug types to be my favorite pokemon type. But that doesn't automatically mean I'll put new bugs as my favorites. Rabsca really does deserve to be on the list, though; at least in terms of design. A dung-beetle pokemon has been long overdue, and the sacred associations with this species is lovingly referred to in this design. For those unaware, dung beetles are included in Egyptian mythology, and the beetle rolling a ball of dung was compared to their sun god rolling the sun along its path in the sky.

HMs

It's so tough to choose just three so I wanted to include a few Honorable Mentions here; I've loved Frigate birds since I was a wee lass so it's cool to see Kilowattrel; Charcadet's evolutions are badass (especially Ceruledge) and I am very fond of them despite the fact I typically don't like humanoid pokemon; and I'm very pleased that the very first Grass/Fire pokemon (finally!!) ended up really cool. (And that it ended up being a pepper, like so many of us guessed Grass/Fire would be)

Top Team Star Bosses

I'm not gonna to lie, I did not enjoy the Team Star storyline much in this game. I felt it was the weakest of the three main story threads. (I enjoyed the brief post-game storyline with Penny & Team Star more than the main part of their story, in fact) That said, these would be my favorites of the bunch. Ortega's design just looks delightful, such a snazzy dandy, and Atticus' devotion to The Bit is admirable (and tbh who doesn't love a D&D nerd?) Giacomo is forgettable and is there because I needed a third choice, lmao (sorry, didn't like the team star girls much)

Top 3 Gym Leaders

Grusha is definitely my top Gym Leader pick. His character is fascinating, especially the events the game only only hints at (it seems strongly implied he met with a nasty snowboarding accident and had to stop the sport, losing his dream and being stuck with just his gym leader job, which he seems rather bitter about). It's a shame they didn't pursue his character storyline further with one of the Academy side-stories (in the way they fleshed out Brassius more). I feel like he could have had a storyline with the nurse (Miriam), and that would have been much better then Miriam's actual side-story which felt rather randomly shoehorned in there (and fan pandering, to be entirely honest). Oh well. At any rate, I find Grusha the most interesting gym leader by far.

Larry is great. They had a clear idea in mind for his character and they executed it well. He apparently is a big hit with fans too. Good for him, he deserves it.

I chose Bassius as my third option because of his involvement in the side-storyline with him and Hassel. He's a rather forgettable character if you only know him from his gym, but his interactions with Hassel were great and fleshed him out a lot more-- made me actually care about him. Honestly I think it's great they let these two men have a strong bond with each other and Hassel even get choked up and cries about it. That's sending a very positive message about men letting themselves feel and express positive emotions! Yes, Hassel's crying is written slightly for comedy (haha look at this man cry), but I think it's also done with genuine affection (it's ok for guys to cry and love each other, even your professor does!). So that's really cool. (The exact nature of their relationship is something fans speculate on, but whether they are close friends or they're something romantic, I think it's cool regardless!)

Top 3 Elites/Champions

My bias here is going to be clear, but holy shit I love Rika and Nemona.

Rika, because . . . I mean, LOOK at her. She's hot, she's professional, but she's a total dork and a goober too. She's a sore loser but she's a total sweetheart to Poppy, and GAH, I love her so much. A lot of great details with her. She's by far my favorite Elite.

Nemona is literally my favorite rival charatcer of the entire franchise other than N. I could blather about her endlessly. Let's just say this bubbly, energetic, earnest, friendly, wonderful girl who hyperfixates on pokemon battling and sincerely wants to see you grow and thrive is perfect in every day. 🥺

Hassel is here too, lol. (In all seriousness he's great too, a wonderful mentor figure and a man of passion. Even if his haircut is a bit weird asfhjkl)

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald; best of type.

Do my eyes deceive me? Have we finally arrived at the best gen? I think we have!

As always, consider this a disclaimer. These are just which Pokemon I like the best. It’s not necessarily based on things like battle viability. Sometimes it is, but sometimes it isn’t. You dig?

The only question is, do we start with my best of Gen who is also best of all time, or do we save the best for last?

Psychic

Best psychic type of Gen 3. This one’s easy. Gardevoir. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Normal

This one was tough, but I gotta give it to Slaking. In many ways it is emblematic of my philosophy. Fight hard, rest hard.

Fire

Best Gen 3 fire type. Well, not that there was any actual competition, but Blaziken takes the top fire spot.

Water

Gen 3 was generous with its water types. 0/10 game. Not enough water! Best of type for Gen 3 goes to Kyogre.

Electric

Nothing to write home about for electric types in Gen 3. Best of type goes to Manectric.

Grass

Some solid grass types in Hoenn. I pick Brelloom.

Ice

Once again, the ice type is given the short end of the stick. I guess I’ll give it to Regice. I guess.

Fighting

Hariyama gets best gen 3 fighting type.

Poison

Best poison type for Gen 3 goes to Seviper. I always liked Seviper. Pity I can never find room for it on a team.

Ground

Best of ground goes to Swampert. Because fuck you, Groudon.

Flying

Best of Flying goes to Salamence, only because I’m reserving Dragon for a certain someone that we all know and love.

Bug

Best Gen 3 bug goes to Shedinja. Infamous for its Wonder Guard ability, which renders it immune to all attacks that are not super effective.

Rock

Best of Rock for gen 3...nothing terribly interesting in Gen 3, except for a certain someone who is occupying Steel. I guess I‘ll give it to Regirock. I guess.

Ghost

Best Gen 3 Ghost type is Sableye. With a combo of Dark and Ghost, absolutely nothing in the game could hit super effectively against it until Fairy types showed up. Too bad Sableye doesn’t come with Wonder Guard, eh?

Dragon

I think we all saw this one coming. Best dragon type goes to Rayquaza. And if you’re feeling generous and care to count Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as Gen 3 games, well then Rayquaza gets a spiffy mega evolution that looks really badass.

But he’s cool with or without it, so cheers.

Dark

Best Dark type of Gen 3 is Absol. Absol is another one of those pokemon that I always liked but never found a reason to put on a team. Oh well.

Steel

BEST STEEL TYPE! IT’S TIME! Best Gen 3 steel type, best of Gen and my personal all time favorite pokemon is, drum roll please, Aggron! WOOOO! AGGRON! I LOVE YOU! Eat shit, Registeel.

Fairy

No fairy types in gen 3. R.I.P. Maybe next time.

my thoughts:

taeil is a super chill, laid back guy who gets along with more outgoing members like johnny and haechan. this makes me believe he’d want a funny, outgoing partner to balance with his personality

he mentioned cute so this makes me think small or petite. definitely shorter than him.

he said once that he would love to sing to his future girlfriend all the time (she will be so lucky oh my gosh). not to mention he is very passionate about music and dropped out of a prestigious music school to join nct. so he would definitely need someone who likes and appreciates music

he said if he were a girl, he’d date yuta out of all of the 127 members. so perhaps he just thinks yuta is boyfriend material, but maybe taeil is attracted to the strong-minded, caring type

seo johnny

confirmed: someone who smiles at him a lot. similar to girl’s generation’s yoona

my thoughts:

johnny seems to get along with everyone so this is a bit tricky to try to determine. he confirmed he likes yoona so going off of that, she’s obviously gorgeous and has a beautiful smile. her personality is also elegant, but down to earth and funny

he was voted by everyone including himself as the most romantic member. he says that he hopes one day he can build christmas trees with his wife just like he used to do with his mom (I’m so soft). I think he’s looking for someone who likes sappy romance and will flirt back with him

he’s tall. and since he named yoona as his ideal type, I think he’d prefer a taller girl (but not taller than him). then again, I’m not sure if he’d care all too much

he said he would date doyoung if he were a girl so I think that entails someone easily tease-able, neat, and proper

lee taeyong

confirmed: someone who can teach him, lead him, and make up for his flaws. a girl with long hair of any race. laid back. his ideal type is the same as ten’s. someone hard-working has a tough style.

my thoughts:

he’s highkey a weeb (don’t deny this). no matter how charismatic he is on stage, we all know he’s a big softie who likes bugs and frogs and anime. he expressed he had a really hard time coming out of his shell and he’s quite introverted. he needs someone who’s strong-minded and knows what they’re doing

I remember when the rookies just came out in like 2014 and TY was 19 (?) ish and he confirmed that he’d never dated anyone yet. nobody believed him because he was so handsome but I have a feeling he was telling the truth. it’s been several years since then so I’m not sure how things have changed, but I have a feeling he would like someone experienced.

“any race” what a king. looks-wise besides having long hair, I can envision someone with great style. perhaps dyed hair, multiple piercings, tattoos, the works. fashion is something that tae really appreciates

nakamoto yuta

confirmed: a girl with short hair and is around 15 cm shorter than him (so about 160cm aka 5′3″). an empathetic, cute girl who doesn’t ‘act pretty’. someone bright and comfortable

my thoughts:

he has a lot of confirmed facts about looks which are also really specific. maybe he just knows what he wants. but I also thinks he has experience. it seems like he wants a tomboy who has a strong vibe

he likes being the ‘oppa’ and taking care of others like we see him do with winwin, mark, and jungwoo. he’d be into someone who looks up to him and who he can lead

I don’t have a reason but I think he would like someone who laughs a lot and laughs at his jokes (maybe because mark does and he loves mark)

someone who’s not embarrassed to be herself

during oshiete japan they had to pick out of 4 types of roses to gift to their ‘girlfriend’. him and haechan were the only ones who chose to give 3 roses to their ‘girlfriend’. the psychologist analyzed this and said that they’re ‘flirts who seek attention’. so that being said, I think yuta would like someone who gives him a lot of attention and reactions

kim doyoung

confirmed: someone polite and who treats their elders well

my thoughts:

I mean this in all seriousness, someone the exact opposite as haechan. while we can see in rare times that he does care for him, doyoung usually cannot stand haechan and all his tricks and taunting. as his confirmed type outlines, doie is really looking for someone who takes things seriously and listens to him well

I think he often feels underappreciated - a lot of times during his mv viewing reactions, the editors show another member during his part or just cut him out and you can tell he’s really disappointed (it hurts my heart). he would really like someone who goes out of their way to make him feel appreciated.

when nct 127 went on oshiete japan, doyoung was the only one to pick the potted rose and the psychologist there said that it means he isn’t looking to just date around, but rather to settle down and have a stable relationship. I strongly believe that doyoung is looking for someone long-term.

also, his love language is giving gifts (from my observation since he often gifts the members foods during mv shoots and gifted TY the couple ring). my best guess is that he’d want to spoil his partner a lot with gifts to show his feelings. someone who appreciates his gifts and understands that they come from his heart

he thinks ariana grande is hot so that’s the only visual thing I can think of. she’s obviously very gorgeous but she’s petite and has an amazing voice

confirmed: a kind woman with long, straight hair who can communicate well with him. someone dependable, healthy, and into sports. someone usually calm but can be cute. doesn’t care if she’s older or younger. someone similar to him. someone like singer/actress IU.

my thoughts:

he has a lot of confirmed facts so I don’t have to make many assumptions here. someone with girl next door energy?

he says he likes IU, so going with that, someone petite and cute. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and treats everyone with kindness.

I think J was born to be romantic (literally, born on valentines day). he said his previous ambition was to be a teen dad and his lines from make a wish english version “spoil her with loyalty” sum up my next prediction: he wants someone like a best friend who’s in it for the long run

dong sicheng

confirmed: someone with long, black hair

my thoughts:

he said his favorite actress is shu qi. although I don’t know if he just likes her acting or if she actually fits his ideal type, she is a traditional chinese beauty which I think winwin appreciates

he’s really introverted and is often overwhelmed by affection (i.e. all of the nct members). the exception is jaehyun and winwin seems to be the most comfortable around him. this makes me think he wants someone calm and chic

sicheng prefers staying inside to going out. not to diagnose him at all, but I reckon he can get socially anxious around large amounts of people. he’d like a partner who doesn’t overwhelm him and understands him

he really can’t cook (he couldn’t turn on a stove to make an egg on winformation). in the end, it wouldn’t matter, but i’m thinking that if you can cook you’d certainly earn some bonus points with him. it’s like that saying ‘the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach’.

kim jungwoo

confirmed: n/a

my thoughts:

of all the members, I think jungwoo has expressed the least about his ideal type. not to make any unnecessary assumptions (but that’s all this post is really), but someone said he has strong bi energy. I can’t say anything because I’m not bi myself and I’m not him, but I can see this being a thing. take this with a grain of salt because I don’t actually have evidence

during oshiete japan, he was the only one to pick the large bouquet of roses to give to his ‘lover’. the psychologist analyzed this as him liking to pretend that he is in love and wanting to show his good side. he “can’t express his real feelings and doesn’t want to ever show his lame side to his lover”. because of this, I strongly feel that jungwoo would need someone who lifts his confidence and reassures him

the members he gets along with the most are probably yuta and mark. their personalities are quite different but based on their similarities, I think he is attracted to confidence, open-mindedness, and good work ethic.

Oh you’re going to regret asking this one, I’m bout to GET SERIOUS.

So Pokemon, obvs, I love the whole world it’s built in, but the games imo are REALLY boring, I haven’t enjoyed one a lot since gale of darkness, the main ones just are a little too linear obvious plots, pretty standard setups for story and style. Speaking of style, the games lack personality, the models aren’t animated well, moves have no dynamic energy or visual difference at times, and the turn based battle style just feels kind of, I don’t know, old? Slow? Just doesn’t suit what I enjoy personally, gives me a FInal Fantasy vibe and I just cannot stand the speed at which things happen in those games, plus not into 3rd person ‘let’s build a team of people’ much, but that’s a problem for another time. With this all in mind, the game I wish would happen is like gen20 Pokemon, far future sadly, I doubt I’d see it in my lifetime but god I’d be happy if I did!

Ok so take the newest Zelda graphics, the visual treat that was BOTW, open world, puzzles, not JUST combat, you got side missions, hunt the chickens, find missing pets, parcels, items, whatever. Love it! The horse taming?! Amazing you funky little game. Now take the bad guys and beasts from that. And put Pokemon in instead. Give them the diversity, the life and believable natures that BOTW gave the animals, I followed a frog in BOTW for 15 minutes, and it was a great experience, it felt like it was believable. Above world spawning, ACTUAL difficult gameplay, rare spawn rates, make dragons hard to get again, cmon, it’s too easy now, make it so we need a certain set of Pokemon for certain tasks. Water types big enough to carry you will be able to get you to new areas, rock types that can help you climb mountains faster, or break through blocking boulders. Actual towns with more than 4 houses in them, shops, barns, farms, homes. Like little link with the heat, maybe ice types would struggle in volcano areas, or bug Pokemon not be so comfortable in gale force winds. Give the weather more of an effect on your partners. Mounts, don’t even get me started that Pokemon Let’s go had you able to ride any of the larger species, but swsh did not???? Bitch please, give me my rideable Pokemon. The wild area too was far too closed, limited, online was laggy and a mess, camping is limited, let me do more with my team. Pokemon for me is all about the actual creatures, how they live with humans, and the many wonderful things they’re capable of. Yes of course it’s cool they can fight, but like what else you know?

I’d love a game that lets me buy a plot of land, maybe plant things, custom build things. I’m a sucker for the fallout4 settlement builds when they’re modded to hell and back, they’re fun! It can be a really calm and creative process. If I could do that and skip the main campaign and all the battles for a bit? Amazing, it sound perfect for me. I am that distracted hoe collecting flowers while the kingdom burns in the background. Side quests are everything to me. Let me give homeless people enough money to get them in a home? Let me adopt Pokemon that are stray around the town? Plz oh plz bring me a Pokemon game that allows me to work WITH my team to do more than KO other species. I want to save and buy a plow for my buddy gogoat, and grow amazing foods to sell to get currency to spend in decorations, to spoil my team. Give me actual game consequence, if I ignore that sick and injured Pokemon I find in the wild, later maybe it’s family don’t want to help me out with a different problem, too stricken from grief. I am all about the average bits, the old women who need help, the lost pets board in town, the general day to day stuff. Let me get cosmetic items for the Pokemon I keep, cute outfits, special gemstone items, let me actually live with them, or even feel remotely like they’re realistic.

Ok so in game, if it’s looking like BOTW it’s pretty beautiful but also stylised, I’d have it so you can send out a maximum of 3 Pokemon from your 6, using bumpers and such to throw them out. If you hit the trigger you switch from controlling the human trainer, to the Pokemon you’ve targeted with a standard lock on targeting system. You then can be the leader, but be the Pokemon. You could technically defeat the game without a human if you wanted, which incorporates the mystery dungeon games I think, and caters to that crowd. I’d love to see the use of attacks out of battle, things like using water gun to grow plants, using ember to start a campfire faster and stave off the cold. There’s no consequence to Pokemon anymore, and I think that’s where it’s lost me. I have to admit I miss the days of a poisoned pokemon fainting if you don’t heal them soon enough, I miss gym battles that were actually tough, damn, try picking charmander in red and beating brock without grinding in viridian forest first, it’s not easy. And I loved that. Yes it’s a child’s game, it will never be difficult again, but god it’d be nice to have a bit of a challenge, or maybe a difficulty setting, so some could play it with hostility turned off, great for kids, or you can be n adult like I know so many Pokemon fans are, and play it on expert mode and ACTUALLY have to work hard to beat the game. Alternate skill trees anyone? Train gun a fire type to ACUTALLy combat water moves?? Please! Cmon! It frustrated me that every challenger has pretty much a systematic set of moves to use to win. Grass opponent? Fire attack spam until you win. It’s dull, so at least with very difficult tricks to either find or learn in game would make it more achievable if you can send that fire type in and I don’t know, train them so much the heat evaporates the water mid-battle and you suddenly have a shot at winning. Pokemon has taught me that if you work hard enough you can achieve something, but the games just have such strict ways to win. Feels wrong.

In terms of battling, let us BE the Pokemon, let us learn to dodge, train our speed, train our defence, make a team of truly tough Pokemon instead of just, average? Some species have a cap on their skills, a squirtle has lower stat points than a Charizard, but you can’t ever change that? Let me choose the Pokemon I believe in, and let me work with them until they’re just as good, if not better than the game tanks. This would also make online battles more interesting. Everyone picks the top trio. Fairy, dragon, legendaries. And yknow what? It’s boring. That one IRL fight with the monster Pacharisu that won in the world tournament with follow me and the situs Berry? Unbelievable, I love that little rat so much because of this, so let us all have a chance to build a team that’s strategically viable, strong, and potentially a winner formula, even if they aren’t fully evolved, or the biggest Pokemon in the world. Yeah maybe you have to grind way harder with your unevolved Pokemon, but you get to the end game and win, because you put love and time into species that you enjoy, not just good fighters.

Unfortunately I am beholdent to Todd-idiot-Howard, and I love the Eldrescrolls and fallout games (before they got dumb, not that I don’t play the new ones. 76 I’m looking at you, you big asshole game.) honestly I hate online games, so none of that junk, just a good old fashioned open world sandbox game is plenty. Games for me are an escape from others, not an invitation to socialise. To each their own of course, and I do play online games sometimes, just pretty short lived ones, over watch and rdr2 for example. Would they be sometimes better on private servers? Yes of course, fallout76? Want to play with others? No. I do not. Please leave me alone. And if you buy a private server you’re feeding the monster that is Todd Howard, the man the myth the asshole, then we’ll get more bad games like 76. I just so desperately want the Pokemon company to see what a beautiful potential game they’ve got on their hands, that could be suitable for far greater audiences, but instead they’ve focused on the kids. It’s fine, it’s functional, but it’s lost to the fans from day 1, that are all 20+ years old now and want something meatier to play, something far more broad and inclusive. I also hate that there’s no wheelchair option in any Pokemon game. Like cmon, it’s not hard to include that.

In short, BOTW + Pokemon, with a sprinkle of open world sandbox to it, less fighting, more fun. Or, at least both options. Sure, go fight everything, great, but I want to farm carrots over here with 6sunflora, plz let me have some peace.

Edit: I forgot about harvest moon, chuck some of that in there too.

SECOND EDIT: someone in the comments mentioned to put this in Unova? Plz love yourselves, this game would be ALL MAPS. Stuff one singular location, this is the ideal game, put every map in it, join them, put islands in, make them more explorable, more detailed!

Glee: Santana Lopez Headcanons

A/N: This was honestly a blast to write. I love Santana and writing this just gave me more of an excuse to listen to her songs and watch her scenes. 😋

Santana is a bit tough to get to know at first.

She's guarded and uses her words as a way to drive others away, defending herself from them.

It wasn't until the two of you were working late on a song for Glee that the two of you actually got to talk one on one.

She offered to give you a ride home afterward, which you accepted immediately

The car ride was far from silent, as Santana was quick to crank up the music, which turned the car ride into a karaoke session with her.

It didn't take long after that for Santana to stick to your side as much as she does for Brittany.

It took even less time for the two of you to grow more feelings for each other.

HER VOICE.

You love to hear her sing, so whenever you two are alone, you always bug her to sing.

She claims to hate it, but you know that she loves it.

"...Please?"

"No (Y/N). I wi--Stop giving me that look!"

"Please......"

"Fine." She scoffs, hiding her smile, but you can see the joy in her eyes as the music starts. "But only because I really love this song...."

She'll sing anything with you, but she absolutely loves to sing songs in Spanish to you at night, when you guys are cuddling.

Eventually, this leads to Santana teaching you some Spanish(if you already don't know if), mostly for you to hear the awesome jokes and roasts Snixx says.

If you speak another language, then Santana is more than willing to learn and loves to hear you speak sweet nothings in that language.

Santana might not seem like it to some people, but she loves hugs and affection.

She loves the feeling of arms around her at most times.

She especially loves holding hands, as she is okay with doing this type of affection in public at first before she's officially out.

Once she is more comfortable with being out and proud, she doesn't care about PDA.

"I can't get another detention slip for making out with you in class Santana!"

"Come on~" Santana grinned, "I'll get one too. We can be in detention together."

Whoever is the teacher handling detention doesn't even bother trying to separate you two.

You show up to all of Santana's cheerleading competitions and Santana is always there, supporting you too at your competitions/matches/games/etc...

Of course date nights with Santana are at Bread Stixx. It's her favorite place to go.

On the nights that you both aren't at Bread Stixx, you two are at each other houses.

Santana's home is almost always empty, as both of her parents are busy most days and afternoons with work.

"Please, (Y/N)," Santana said, grabbing your hand. "My mom will just bug me later about you not staying for dinner. She loves you."

"Okay, okay." You said, "Are you sure she's the only one who loves me?" You grinned.

"Well, I mean, I love you too, of course." Santana rolled her eyes, a sly smile reaching her lips. "So are you staying?" She whispered, pressing a light kiss to your lips. With an ask like that, how could you say no?

All Santana wants after a long day of cheerios and glee is to cuddle with you. She feels safe with your arms around her and with her arms around you.

Santana will fight anyone who dares to hurts you, BUT you will go after anyone who even thinks about harming Santana, and you are quick to make sure that Santana is okay, before continuing on with your attack.

Santana loves and hoards all and any notes you place within her locker. Whenever she's sad or missing you, she rereads them.

Santana always sends you links with new playlists that she made for you, and the two of you always make sure to listen to them while driving together.

"I love you," You muttered, resting your head on Santana's chest. "I love you so much."

"I love you, too." Santana whispered softly, pressing a light kiss to the top of your head.
