thank you for doing neopets reviews! could you review hissi, including my favorites UC plushie and darigan hissi? thank you!
Hissi are pretty simple, basically just a snake with wings, but they're a well-designed snake with wings, which is what matters. The wings themselves add a lot of memorability to what would otherwise be a pretty generic design, and the light yellow underbelly breaks up the solid color a bit while accenting the eyes. Another nice feature are the rattlesnake-like spots, which add just the right amount of detail to the design.
For the most part, Hissi were mostly left unharmed from conversion... except for the wings. Changing the wings into more hand-like structures is just such a strange decision—no other Neopet with wings had this done, for starters (Pteris and Lennys just had their wings cupped a bit, but weren't given anything resembling hands). Plus, was it really so important to have them hold items that it was worth screwing with one of the best parts of the design? Converted Hissi are still pretty nice, don't get me wrong, but the original will always be the better version.
Favorite Colors:
Darigan: The UC Darigan Hissi is just amazing. The body is fairy straightforward, now sporting spikes and V-shaped underbelly scales, but the big changes are to the tail, mouth, and wings. The mouth has a long tongue, the tail is extra thin and long with a black tip, and the wings were given this awesome webbed look with very distinct anatomy. The purple-and-black palette also looks great. I do wish the tongue was maybe a yellow or a blue, as the green feels a little out of place, but it's otherwise pretty fantastic.
The converted version is... fine. It's just inevitable that a design that relies on unique body shapes would feel more generic when converted. On the plus side, the conversion is pretty loyal, missing only the black from the spikes and sporting slightly different spots. Either way, a good color all around.
Halloween: Continuing with the spooky vibes, Halloween Hissis have always been pretty cool-looking. They sport a black-and-red base color that works well on its own, and then top it with a really nice-looking set of bones that resemble actual snake vertebrae. Particularly nice is the skull, which doesn't have a jaw and sits on top of the head, with a pair of fangs to boot. I do think the wings look a bit clunky due to being entirely bone instead of only partially, and the eyes might've worked better with the accent red, but overall a really nice design.
Faerie: I've just always found this one very pretty. It sports a fairly low-contrast palette of blue, turquoise, and purple, but it just works really nicely together. It having four pairs of wings is pretty cool conceptually, and the second pair have a bright turquoise inside that really make them pop. The body also has a lot more spots than usual, including sort of a mottled purple that goes over the entire body, and the yellow eyes accent the body well. I have heard it said that it would be better without the hand-wings, which is agreeable, but overall this one's just really pretty.
BONUS: Reviewing this one on request. The plushie Hissi isn't really my cup of tea, but it is very cute, sporting a well-worn look and a soft color palette befitting of an old plushie. It's very cute, and I love the tongue on the UC version.
However, I guess my issue with the UC version is that it never really felt much like a Hissie to me, on account of the wings being down and the entire head being vastly different. I feel like the best UC plushies still keep the iconography of the base pet, but here it gets lost a bit. Still, its an appealing pet if you're into that kind of look.
(The converted version is mostly accurate to the UC, but the brow ridges drive me nuts because the perspective on them is all wrong. But I digress.)

So I haven't talked about this on tumblr yet. and I was KIND of mad about it lol but Benji the new bp has mites. These pics are from the "discovery" and a pic of him in his treatment deli cup- you can actually see a mite on him in the first pic. It's a pretty mild amount considering, and he's tolerating treatment very well. It's not a huge deal for ball pythons however if my more sensitive snakes were to get them it would be a larger problem. Thankfully he hasn't left the QT room besides getting a few pics on the deck. I haven't seen any live ones in about a week so hopefully we're starting to get over them.
In better news he's taken two f/t meals with me, he was on live at his last home and I'm sure he was on live with the breeder too. Personal opinion/ lukewarm take but I think a lot of bp breeders just do what's most convenient and requires the least amount of effort. It should not be the norm that ANY species of snake are sold not solidly on f/t feeders if they're not fresh wild caught individuals. He was super easy to feed too. A little wiggle and tease and he struck within a minute. Easy enough.
Gonna wait until he's clear of mites (I'll give it at least 2-3 months before calling it) before testing for nido so poor Benji is gonna be living in QT for quite a while ):
I am very excited to start planning his final cage though, probably a little over eager on my part tbh but cage planning is one of my favorite parts of reptile keeping. I'm slowly transitioning him to caging with more enrichment. I want him comfortable and on f/t, clear of mites and tested neg for nido before swapping him to overhead heat. I definitely think if you take a snake like a bp that was fed live and likely has never been out of a tub with heat tape and immediately throw them into a fully fledged "top of the line" type environment you might flood them and have issues with feeding and them shutting down. At the moment im planning on a 48x25x30" cage for him but if I think he's gonna go over 4' I'll move him to a 6 footer. No pet rocks in this household.
Anyway. Lots of rambling.
TLDR Benji has mites but is doing better, eating f/t and in general being a little cutie

youre a mind reader 😈 tho just as an overall warning a lot of my headcanons are not canon-compliant. i do what i think fits best for my characterization of them.
,,,as seen in my most significant headcanon for the rowdyruff boys: their ingredients are switched around, as are their ages;
boomer is the oldest. his ingredient is snails. he's a loner by choice, but well-liked by most of his peers.
brick is the second-oldest. his ingredient is snips. he thinks he's the leader + breadwinner, even though he's not.
butch is the youngest. his ingredient is puppy dog tails. he is the (unofficial) leader + mediator, really just wants a nap.
boomer's ingredient is seen most in his easy-going facade; he treats it like a shield against insults, criticism, or any kind of negative feedback. uses this 'shell' personality to let things roll like water off a duck's back.
in reality, he's a very angry individual. there's a lot for him to be angry about, because he's also compassionate - he wants to be able to shield his loved ones from the same injustices is. the fact that he can't really screws with him sometimes, hence the (usually) failed attempts to push people away.
he's also super into creepy crawlies. has a pet african snail that he originally got more as a gimmick and then immediately fell in love with, but the rest of his pets are insects; stick and leaf bugs, praying mantis, ant collonies, cockroaches, a beetle collection, etc. he's super passionate about each and every one + talks to them like one would a dog or cat.
the worst part is he's super squeamish around reptiles. hates snakes, fully believes the stigma that they're slimy. as if he doesn't pick up worms with his bare hands.
brick's ingredient is shown through his tendency to cut ties with people. he gets so caught up in his own goals and ambitions that he tunnel-visions - blocks people out, and if they get in his way he'll do whatever it takes to make them move. if the people in his life can't keep up, then they're gone altogether.
being goal-orientated also makes him pretty 'snippy' in demeanor. he comes across as dismissive and impatient a lot, which contributes to driving people away; he thinks everything is for him to deal with on his own because of it, which can blind him to the fact that there are people in his life who want the best for him.
he has very few hobbies. he has very few friends to actually engage in hobbies with. brick feels particularly detached from the world, but not necessarily unhappy. it's easier for him to love people from a distance.
brick runs a questionable homemade soap business on etsy, too. he treats it like a super important secret that nobody knows about, but his brothers know. they know. (he defends it by saying it's a side-business. it's actually because he made personalized soap as a gift one time, and the hobby stayed.)
butch as puppy dog tails is my favorite !! he's very loving and protective, shows his loyalty through action more than words - both with his heart on his sleeve, but misunderstood by those who can't read the signs.
his role as 'the leader' is honestly more about just being supportive than really leading anything, though he's definitely got a monopoly on the apartment they share. he's the glue that keeps his brothers together, while trying to encourage brick and boomer in their separate endeavors.
he loves bowling. when all else fails, bowling is the one thing he'll never say no to regardless of time or place or mood. i see butch being somebody who used to participate in a lot of active hobbies, but burnt out over time; bowling is still his favorite activity despite losing interest in many other things.
he's actually pretty interested in books and plays. not enough to be a theater kid, but in the literature sense. part of the appeal is the escapism; most of it is a genuine enjoyment of narrative exploration and expression. (unlike brick, butch's hobby is actually a secret. not on purpose - he just doesn't talk about it a lot.)
some other miscellanious headcanons:
boomer is obsessed with starbucks. his usual order is appallingly complicated.
butch is a jack of all trades, master of most. the bane of his existence is math.
all three of them have piercings, but brick has the least. only has ear gauges, did it to feel included. kind of hates them but can't really go back.
boomer plans to broaden his horizons on his collection of insects. a tarantula is in his future.
completely unrelated, brick is arachnophobic 😇
butch covers any surface with sticky-note reminders,,, that he promptly forgets about.
both boomer and butch are high school drop outs, for varying reasons. butch barely made it through sophomore year, and boomer dropped out right before junior SATs.
brick's the only one to complete high school and continue into secondary education.
they were fostered by ms keane for a time ! she helped appeal for their emancipation and financial aid, and still checks in on them occasionally.
butch attends therapy. for the sake of the post, i'll leave it at that !
the rrbs are kind of a common ground between the ppgs and the ppnkgs in the earlier years of them all growing up together. each relationship with each is different, but overall they never had much problem with either side (once certain, obvious issues were dealt with.) it's kind of a whole timeline thing for my genverse.
true to fanon, brick got the most attention from mojo & Him when the boys were still in their custody.

Sugarpie, honeybun, you know that I love you
"Get that away from me," David pouted at you, looking at the snake in his hand, "where did you even find it?"
He shrugged, walking back to his chair and plopping down, watching as the reptile attempted to nip his face.
It was a small garter snake, as evident from the thick brown and yellow lines dragging along its body.
You didn't mind it since it wasn't the kind that could kill you, but you still didn't appreciate having a danger noodle dangled in front of your face while you were trying to read.
Marko was equally unimpressed, standing on the other side of the cave with a few of his pigeons bundled in his arms.
"I think I'll keep it," David mused, petting its outstretched head affectionately, "c'mere pick a name with me."
Laughing softly you rose, bringing your book with you to stand beside him, bending at the waist to inspect it while maintaining a safe distance.
"It looks like a Ralph."
"It looks like a threat," Marko piped up, if he was a bird you were sure his feathers would be fluffed out by now, not that his little pointy fangs were any less of an indication that he was in a bitchy mood.
Rising you looked towards him, grinning teasingly, "awe Markie, worried our new pet is gonna eat all your birds babe?" he huffed turning from you to put them back in their cubbies.
"Oh come on, it's tiny I think they're more likely to eat it than it is them," a long set of arms encased your waist, while the figure buried their face in your curls, breathing you in.
Long blonde hair brushing your shoulders told you it was Paul, placing your hands over his as he swayed the two of you.
"Babe," you hummed, letting him pull you in deeper, "your hair smells like honey."
You laughed at him, hearing his sleepy voice as he buried himself deeper, bringing a hand up from your waist to tug on the tight ringlets.
"So, what do you wanna do today love?"

That's how you found yourself in this situation, watching Dwayne floating through the vent of the convenience store you were breaking into.
You heard a click and the back door was slid open, your pretty boyfriend smiling at you with a toothy grin.
"My liege" giggling you accepted his hand, letting him pull you through the back of the store and to where you wanted to go.
It wasn't really that surprising to find out that Dwayne knew where all of the good hair products were, no one gets hair that silky without some nice ass conditioner.
"Here," he passed you a bottle after inspecting it, looking down you gave it a nod, it was apple-scented too which was your favorite, "grab a bag, might as well stock up sugar."
Both of you were in there for well over an hour, trying out everything you could get your hands on. Dwayne even went so far as you massage oil into your hands til they were softer than ever.
It was a small slice of intimacy, but it set a calm tone for the rest of the night.
He had brought you back to the cave, more than eager to get you in the lower cave's water pools with him so he could pamper you.
You were floating in the cool water, dressed only in a pair of shorts with your arms resting on his slightly spread thighs, sighing in delight as he dragged his fingers across your scalp.
He had gone for a vanilla-scented conditioner you didn't have to wash out, suggesting something easy he could massage into your thick curls.
It was a dream. His skin warming you while you had a perfect view of his tones abs.
"You okay baby?" nodding you pressed your lips to his thigh, blinking up at him while he swirled his hands, bringing his fingers up to the ends of your hair slowly, "I'm almost done if you're getting cold."
Nodding you raised your arms, letting him raise you up and bringing you closer and wrapping a big fluffy towel around the two of you.
You both stood there for a moment, breathing in the sweet scent of vanilla and leaning your heads against one another.

I'm 164 centimeters tall (I'm not looking it up in feet). I've got a soft tummy and pretty good ass (lmao). You know how I look like, though I am planning to dye my hair blue.

I usually wear skinny jeans and hoodies with some weird print. I love oversized hoodies, they are like my main source of comfort. I have chains attached to my pants, and I love wearing too many necklaces. I usually have ghearrings (the ghost crosses) in my ears and another one on a chain around my neck. Also wearing a Baphomet (like the goat head in a pentagram) necklace, a pride heart one, a matching besties necklace with Vic and occasionally a choker. I do occasionally do all out, wearing a white dress shirt, black skinny jeans, a leather jacket and the listed jewelry with my favorite rainbow sneakers and round sunglasses. With lots of rings, mostly something skull/plant/occult themed. Always silverish color, never gold. I don't like gold.
Outside from Ghost, I mostly listen to rock and different kinds of metal. And FNaF songs.
I was a Creepypasta kid. Aside from Polish and English I speak some German and bits of Italian, but very little. I can read most arabic letters (as in I know what sounds they make).
I have lots of different posters on my walls and I have stickers on my furniture because I grew up too fast and I'm catching up on my childhood now. I've got mental issues, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, mommy issues and daddy issues. I like calling them my pokemon.
I like writing (though I barely have time for that) and re-watching Total Drama (watched it 8 times just this year) since it manages to keep my attention, something most movies fail to do, which is why I barely watch anything. I get bored very easily. I play the Sims 4 a lot, but I can't build in it for the life of me. I'm amazing at building in the Sims 3. Big fan of Assassin's Creed (I don't like the new ones, though, since it doesn't feel like AC anymore to me). I own many true crime and paranormal activity books, though I can barely read at this point. I like manga, though. Currently collecting the Soul Eater series. I love plushies. I got a new one today. Their name is Pyza. (Yes, they're enby, I even got them a pin)
I know way more about butterflies than I should. I know lots of useless trivia in general. Most of it disturbing. I'm tired 24/7, but my body either wakes up before 7AM or after 6 hours exactly and it's impossible for me to fall asleep again. My room is usually a mess, but that's okay, so am I.
I'm a total introvert, but I'm also so tired with life I forced myself to become the extrovert of the group. I'm really loud if I like people, although my affection is usually random touches on someone's arms and shoulders with a strange noise. I make noises. A lot.
For some reason, babies love me. Even though I personally dislike children. I love pets, though. All sorts of pets. Cats, dogs, snakes, spiders... Anything. If I can pet it, I want to pet it. I love moths from the attacus family, I mean just look at this gorgeous girl!
As for my personality, aside from daily mental breakdowns, I'm relatively chill, just... Very unhinged. I talked about Secondo's dick piercings in McDonald's. Compared to the shit I say, Terzo's an angel.

-I also have depression (yay) anxiety, autism, and possible ADD. People have told me I’m good at ‘hiding’ it and ‘fitting in’ though.
-im super shy in real life. Like beyond shy. Im not a fan of physical touch but if it was someone I really liked, I wouldn’t mind. My love language is gift giving.
-I like to cook, I play piano and guitar, and I like to go on a lot of spontaneous adventures because if my mind comes up with an idea I have to play it out that moment or I go insane.

There is a dinosaur that was first described in 2011 that only has one claw on its short arms, Linhenykus. I just think y'all need to look at the fucked up little guy, every reconstruction I've seen of it has been adorable.
You might already know that axolotls can pretty much grow anything back, but I doubt you know about firefly axolotls: they're made when someone cuts the tails off of two axey larvae and swaps them, and somehow they take and that's just. Their tail now. IICR though this is generally considered unethical
Nothing stops you from grabbing a pigeon to have as a pet as they are feral animals not wild ones. You might get pecked however.
Did you know that the reason you see more two headed reptiles rather than other animals is because they're more likely to survive? I watched way too much "Weird True and Freaky" as a kid and there's an example in the intro

Just look at the absolute pissing match in the paleontology community surrounding Spinosaurus at all times. 100% why it's my favorite dinosaur, it is consistently embroiled in debate. There's constantly a new paper coming out saying "oh but it isn't really aquatic" "but yes yes it is aquatic" bae it's semiaquatic, we found a fucking tail fluke.
Legit anything about Irritator challengeri. From how we found the skull that was all kinds of fucked up, to the newest paper about it possibly having a jaw like a pelican.
Honestly shit gets wild in the paleo community
Like, anyone else know about the Tyrannosaurus regina and Tyrannosaurus imperator paper? The one the majority of the community took one look at and said "yeah... No." oh honestly checking Wikipedia to fact check things I'm reminded of the Nanotyrannus debate. It's sad because Imperator is a fucking dope name.
Snakes don't actually unhinge their jaws! It's worse than that! You see, their lower jaws aren't joined like ours are, meaning they can basically open sideways and "walk" them in order to get the food down. Honestly just take a look at a snake skull and you'll figure out how secretly weird they are
There's a gene responsible for limb development, the sonic hedgehog gene, which if it's turned off the animal won't develop legs and will end up with just a long body— and we think that mutations fucking with that gene is how we got snakes.
... but while we know how snakes lost their legs, we still aren't entirely sure why. There's the "digging" camp and a "swimming" camp, and I'm gonna stay neutral until we get more evidence. What we do know iicr is that the first snakes were likely venomous!
There are snakes who are poisonous but not venomous, such as the Rhabdophis keelback snakes. They get it from toads, but are generally considered to be harmless. These fuckers are adorable, just look at them

autistic person tries to figure out what their favourites are in any category challenge.. i will do my best!
movie – GOD this is a hard question i will instead tell you my top 4 movies on my letterboxd profile.
everything everywhere all at once. duh. watched that movie like multiple times and cried every time too. room. such a sad movie (i love sad movies) and jacob tremblay is GENUINELY incredible in this. so is brie larson but like. wow. spider-man into the spider-verse is always gonna be a fav for me i love spider-man. not sure if atsv tops it or not, will have to wait for the final movie to decide i think, but the what's up danger sequence gets me so hyped EVERY. TIME. and finally jojo rabbit. incredible movie. funny, moving, inspiring, tearjerking. taika is incredible. okay movie talk over. i love movies.
character – okay so i kind of just flit between steve harrington and peter parker every few months. they're my little guys one goes in each pocket.
animal – hmmmm of the classic pets i think cats, i love cuddling with them. but i am sooo fascinated by snakes. i would love to meet someone with a pet snake so i could hold one.
season – autumn. but specifically like early autumn? where it's not raining much and isn't horribly cold, it's just like. the leaves are going orange and it's the kind of weather you could wear any outfit and survive in you know.
food – fuck. no idea. i kind of exist on safe foods hmmm. when i treat myself i always like to get myself a katsu tofu curry though. so maybe that? i don't have it often though.
place – unironically i am such a home body. love being at home and in my room so much. i have all my trinkets and collections in here, and if i wanna talk to people i just go to the living room! but outside of my house? brighton is a great city i love visiting there. even though i hate the beach (sorry sage)
color – i think it's like sage green at the moment. only figured that out because i noticed how overrun with green my room is getting. it's a very pretty colour.
hobby – playing video games! i'm the worst gamer ever because i'm not really good at any games and i never finish them, but i DO spend most of my time playing them. :D

(I likely won’t be able to keep any kind of snake for a good long while regardless, as I don’t yet have the space, but I’m looking into things now) Hognoses are my favorite kind but I haven’t seen much in terms of how they are to care for and I’ve never kept a snake before. Are they an alright starting point, or would another kind of snake be better?
Hognoses can be a decent first snake as long as you know what you're getting into. Personally, I think they make a better second snake than a first, but you can absolutely get one for your first as long as you're prepared. (And, if you want other options, check out this post!)
Hognoses have care that is pretty dang easy - I give mine a hotspot set to 88 Fahrenheit and keep humidity dry, about 30% on the regular and about 40% while they're shedding, and make sure they always have a humidity box. They need to be able to burrow, so about four inches of substrate is the absolute minimum. I prefer aspen for the substrate since it holds their tunnels well.
There are two big challenges with hognoses. The first is their personalities - don't get me wrong, I love their dramatic little personalities! But the odds are very good that you will get an individual that might be very hissy and like to bluff-strike, and while the snake will outgrow a lot of it with time and patient handling, they're surprisingly loud for their size and handling a hissing snake can be very intimidating for a new keeper (even if said hissing snake only weighs 10 grams). There are very, very, very few hognoses that will actually bite in self-defense, but it's also worth noting that hognoses are venomous and, while their venom is not medically significant for humans, it can still give you a rough few days.
The second challenge is how picky they can be. Once established, hognoses usually eat like garbage disposals, but baby hognoses can be extremely fussy eaters. I recommend always buying a baby that is already well-established on f/t, unscented pinky mice.
Hognoses can be awesome pets! But they can be a little challenging if they're your first snake. I recommend doing lots and lots of research on them and making sure your enclosure is already set up and perfect before you bring a baby hognose home!

Peter has a pet snake? That's so cute!!! I love reptiles! When I was a kid, I'd read up on all kinds of animals and watch animal documentaries and reptiles were always my favorite part (aside from sharks. They're pretty awesome too). I would love to meet the snoot-snoot! 🥹
[This is Rat, Peter's pet and a sweet baby girl that is a gift to us all. She's a western hognose snake. Males are considerably smaller than females, with adults rarely exceeding a total length (including tail) of 40–50 cm (15–20 inches). This snake gets its common name, "hognose", from the modified rostral (nose) scale that is formed in an upturned manner, providing a very "hog-like" look. Additionally, this adaptation makes these snakes adept borrowers.]
{The species is not dangerous to humans, as no deaths or systemic effects from the extremely rare bite from this rear-fanged snake have been recorded. Although bites may uncommonly be medically significant, the species is not regarded as venomous. In the capture and incapacitation of prey, the modified saliva is released from Duvernoy's Glands and travels down a groove in the snake's fangs.
In captivity, the species has been bred into about 52 different "designer" color morphs.
The western hognose snake is primarily diurnal. It is typically a docile snake (though known to be highly defensive in some individuals). If threatened (or perceiving a threat), it may flatten its neck (much like a cobra), hiss, and make 'mock' or 'bluff' strikes if harassed, which are strikes made at an intruder but with the snake's mouth closed. Subsequently, even when further harassed, western hognose snakes virtually never bite as a self-defense mechanism, but will instead usually resort to playing dead. Although it is more common that it will flatten its head, some individuals may puff up, filling the throat with air. This is more common with adolescent males.
In the wild, the western hognose snake feeds predominately on amphibians, such as large and medium-sized tree frogs, as well as small or medium-sized toads and small lizards. There have been accounts of them eating the occasional rodent in the wild as well. Not being a true constrictor, they bite and chew, driving the rear fangs into the prey as a way of introducing the saliva to help break down the toxins from toads. There have been many cases of hognose snakes in captivity that will not eat for about two to three-and-a-half months, from January to mid-March. This is because hognose snakes' instinct is to submerge underground during the winter months.
Adult western hognose snakes have been observed in copulation as early as February and March. The species is oviparous, with females laying 4–23 elongate, thin-shelled eggs in June–August. The eggs take approximately 60 days to hatch. Each hatchling is 13–23 cm (5–9 in) in total length, and reaches sexual maturity after approximately two years (this is predominantly based on size, not so much age).}

Lol that's fair, a good chunck of my 'will write' list are actually my F/O's but I realise I didn't put any indication as to who was who. I don't think I had the confidence to actually announce that when I started this blog.
Anyhoo I'm in a mood for scales, so I hereby select Repton and Sir Pentious for the games! Oh God this got long
Repton:
R - Rainbow - what colors do you associate with them and why?
It's always deep olive greens and harsh dusty yellows for Repton, his colour scheme is pretty consistent and pretty much matches his territory. I find it very soothing almost? Like watching a savanna landscape, which is technically where he lives so, win.
E - Emotion - is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?
If it ain't rage or exasperation then he ain't showing it. He absolutely feels a wider range but frustration at his limitations rules his judgement 99% of the time, which is a work in progress. Makes those rare time's he is openly happy that much more delightful!
P - Pets - do they have a pet? if so, what kind and what is/would be its name? would you have a pet together?
Canonly, no, but I've always figured the wastelands around his terra would hold some kind of cool monster that he would take delight in taming, so in my head he has pet dragons. Not big ones, but if Gwythents were more bat like that'd be ideal. Atmos is criminally underdeveloped ok I can make up animals if I WANT
T - Teach - what skills of theirs would they teach you? what would you teach them?
I have an aversion to motorsports but you literally cannot get around atmos without a sickass flying motorbike, so I would def be accepting dirk-biking lessons from the guy with the coolest ride around.
As for what I'd teach him... I'm honestly not sure what I have to offer that he would find interesting or useful, but I can offer lots of geology/geography knowledge that would probably be handy for raids and crystal formations? Alternatively how to speak nicely to his siblings
O - Online - what is your f/o’s social media presence like, or what would it be like if they had internet in their world/era?
'Officially' he wouldn't partake, seeing the dumb shit his brothers watch online would drive him insane. Unofficially however, he would totally stalk his enemies facebook posts just to plan an opportune ambush.
N - Nostalgia - what’s your f/o’s favorite memory?
Canonically, probably the day he defeated the Interceptors. That was a serious victory that shook the Sky Knights and their teams across Atmos, and he relished in the leverage it gave him.

S - Story - if you and them were in a fairytale, which story would you be and who would play which character?
Oh a reverse fairytale for sure, a runaway noble of some descript get's kidnapped by maniacal (artificer I guess in this case?) for ransom, only to find they're both terrible and have much more fun encouraging his shenanigans.
I - Image - show us a picture of them that gives you a lot of feelings. if they aren’t a visual character, describe your mental image of them!

Black, Yellow and Fusia. Pretty self explanatory - the high contrast is gorgeous and luxurious in his design and yet attention seeking like a particularly villainous traffic cone.

Do the Eggs Count Idk if you can have snake pets in hell but he is absolutely the type to have boa contractors and cobras draped all over his ship. I'm more than happy with this.
E - Emotion - is your f/o open with their feelings or do they keep them close to their chest?
Sweetheart this mans emotions are broadcast to the fucking moon. Everyone in hell knows how he's feeling at any given moment and he hates it, but he doesn't have the restraint to keep a lid on them when things don't go his way.
N - Nostalgia - what’s your f/o’s favorite memory?
Extrapolating from the crumbs of the single pilot we have, probably the birth of his son. He seems the type to have Gomez Addam'sed the shit out of his family, and I don't doubt he cried more than the mother and baby combined.
T - Teach - what skills of theirs would they teach you? what would you teach them?
I'm signing up for lessons in firing lazer beams and rockets and you cannot stop me. I would probably teach him what modern slang and style suits him becuase the secondhand embarrasment I recieve watching this 19th century supervillain attempt to integrate into modern culture is nigh lethal.

It's cringeworthy and mortifying for want of better words. I wish he would stop chasing the overlords accounts and getting into screaming matches in the comment sections. At least the latter results in him blowing up someones house occasionally, but it hurts to see him ruin his own reputation which he cherishes so much. Less of more here, really.
U - Uplift - how do they help you when you’re stressed or sad and vice versa?
When I'm sad it's cuddle time. He's fantastic at it, and his scales are much softer than they look. It's weird to feel his eyes blinking, but the pressure and attention feel wonderful after a bad day.
When he's sad or frustrated - I'll admit that I'm not the best at feelings things and would much rather offer practical solutions, he appreciates a second pair of eyes and opinions on his projects. I can compliment his engineering no end and belittle the bastards that made him feel workthless forever, so if I bitch whle we work it's a win-win.

💧- What is this oc most passionate about?
This one's a little difficult cause. Well. By the time he appears in Whisper Court his mental state is not doing too well! So he wouldn't have a lot of things he'd be Passionate about. Before he met Nina he was super into music and was pretty decent at playing guitar, but he fell out of practice with it after Nina starting obsessing over it and begging him to play things for her.
Post-joining the neighborhood, he's got way more to be excited about! I really like the idea that if you break an object you just create a ghost of that object so you KNOW Willow Whisp would have the time of her life smashing a guitar to bits on the ground so he can relearn how to play one. I think he'd have a pretty nice voice too :) like hozier but a bit deeper

In all honesty? The fact that you're the one who made him and he is so loved and means a lot to me 🥺 from an actual character standpoint, I love how much he just takes things in stride. He'd been messing with ghost equipment before he started working for Whisper Court, but he wasn't actually convinced any of it worked. Once he got there and was having full conversations with ghosts? His immediate reaction was just "Oh sick. That's cool" and he instantly became besties with all of them. He's the first investigator that feels like he's being genuinely kind to Finch and their friendship means SO MUCH to me
🌱- Does this oc have any pets? Do they have any pets they want?
HE WOULD WANT A LIZARD OR A SNAKE SO BAD he's a big fan of dogs but they're a bit too loud and excitable for his taste if he's around them constantly. Now reptiles on the other hand. Those guys are so cool. Nina thinks they're scary so he's always hesitated really looking into getting one but he always stops by to see them if he's in the neighborhood of a pet store that has them :)

OH EXCELLENTLY. He's just so kind and genuine and polite and patient I wish he was my friend so bad 🥺 Going back to Finch, the first time he investigates with them present he doesn't even know they're there. Jewel lists one too many spirits in the room and he figures out its the new ghost SO quickly and then as soon as he realizes the new ghost is a kid his tone ENTIRELY changes. He was trying to be casual and laid back before, but as soon as he can get Finch talking he is SO kind to them and encouraging them and complimenting their abilities to move things and it means SO MUCH he is so kind to kids he loves them more than adults tbh. I Wish He Was My Friend SO Bad

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
FARIN URLAUB. Altho I wouldn't say a fave cos I in general don't exactly have favorites, but we all know how annoying his face is to draw. It's just so symmetrical and he simultanously looks unique and so normal that in 9/10 drawings he looks like someone who looks like Farin but is more like some weird AU clone where something is off but you can't exactly pinpoint what that is.
He's fun to draw to my comics tho, I guess I've pretty much succeeded at capturing his most farinesque features for that version of him, but every single time I try a semi-realistic or realistic approach with or without a reference, I just fail miserably. UNLESS I use the grid system, but sometimes I fail even with that.
Also his hair is so annoying to draw (semi-)realistically. Every hair tutorial says "don't draw individual hairs, but strands of hair!" BUT HOW WHEN THIS MAN HAS NO STRANDS OF HAIR??? It's just all individual hairs pointing upwards and I feel like having a stroke when I stare at photos and try to figure out his hair 3-dimensionally but it feels more like some 5-dimensional thing that shouldn't exist in this world.

I like anything with depth and perspective, like something that is a rectangle, for example. In fact I like drawing almost any kind of object from phones to idk, stoves. They're fun challenges. Just anything that I can easily draw to look 3-dimensional! Unlike Farin's hair.

Hmmm. My art has never really been compared to anything afaik 🤔
If not counting in that time when I was ~10-11 and created one of my various comic book characters I created back them. It was this worm/snake creature (which I called as "Käärme-Matoset" in Finnish which means "Snake-Wormeys" whatsoever. Idk how to explain it in English, but mato = worm, matonen = little worm, so the -nen works a bit like -chen suffix in German!) and I showed it to one of my then-friends also liked to draw a lot. And she just claimed that I had copied some comic book character from a comic that I had never even heard of, and I told her that I don't even know what that is, and she just claimed that nope. You copied this character X from a comic Y.
Here's a cover I did for my "comic book" back in the day (I used to just stack papers together and make a 'comic book' for most of my comics if I didn't have or didn't want to use a notebook for them):
The comic I allegedly copied from probably doesn't say much to you, as it was in a comic from a Swedish comic book artist, Lena Furberg, who drew (still draws?) lots of horse comics (both realistic and very cartoony) for a Swedish "horsegirl" magazine which had its Finnish counterpart too. So this comic was just about a girl with tons of pets and one of them was a snake. I wasn't into horses at that point yet, so I had never read that magazine, unlike this classmate. I think I was already a teenager or a bit older when my siblings started collecting the same magazine and I finally saw what the comic, I was accused of stealing from, looked like.
But yeah, other than that I in general don't get much feedback on my art or drawing style. One of my friends just keeps saying I have unique style with my comics and she has never seen anyone else draw like I do, which is a HUGE win cos my attempt is exactly that: to do my own thing and not have my art to resemble anyone else's unless it's like a tribute (which I honestly have not done ever) or just shows who have influenced me without my art looking like a copy of the art of any of those comic book artists.
With my Micron (the fineliner pens) drawings I think it might have been you, tho, who once said the messy style reminded you(?) of some artist but I no longer remember who that artist was as I had never heard of him before.

Leona is pretty protective of his partner in any situation, but especially when he notices a wild animal nearby
he knows his partner has a penchant for trying to pet and love on any animal they see
one time he stopped watching them for a second, only to see them with a large snake wrapping itself up their arm as they giggled
he didn't understand why they were so calm until he noticed the snake giving them little tongue flicks, staring lovingly at them
he refuses to leave them alone with animals, otherwise their dorm will turn into a zoo...
Ruggie Bucchi
Ruggie thinks it makes sense that his partner is so in tune with animals since they love him so much~
teases them about it, asking if they only like him because he's part hyena himself
he likes to watch them play with animals, and is consistently impressed with their ability to handle them
he doesn't let them keep any of the funkier animals though, always making sure they return the animals to the right place
he builds them a little yarn for some of the smaller animals that they've befriended so they can always see them!
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul panics the first time he sees his partner with a shark heading directly towards them
he swims as fast as he can towards them, ready to beat up a shark for the first time, before he looks closer
they're petting it; he's panicking about a shark eating them and they're petting it
super relieved but also asks his partner not to pet dangerous animals without him there
he babysits them while they pet and coo at whatever animal they've found, his heart absolutely melting every time
Jamil Viper
Jamil also loves animals, but he's a little concerned about how nonchalant his partner is about dangerous animals
he once witnessed them pet an entire group of caiman without patting an eye
he makes sure to pay more attention to where his partner roams, especially if there might be more dangerous animals
then again, he recognizes that they have some kind of inherent ability to calm and sooth animals
one of his favorite memories with his partner is the time when they managed to get a viper to let him pet it
