What is your favorite deadly sin? Which sins do you think each of the Papas represent?

I love this question!!

First off, I am a terrible sinner because I couldn’t remember all of them and had to look them up- Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, Pride

My favorite, though it’s not really the coolest answer, is probably Sloth. This gorl likes to rest and lounge and relax. 😌

For the Papas:

Papa I / Primo

Pride

the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's own importance

Our guy was new on the scene! He needed to show everyone how important he was. Papa Emeritus the First! Purveyor of destruction and prince of darkness! All hail!

Papa II / Secondo

Gluttony

over-indulgence and over-consumption of food, drink, or wealth items, particularly as status symbols

This dang ass freak partied hard and didn’t give a fuck about anything. Food, sex, alcohol, cars, expensive suits, luxury hotels- Secondo didn’t hold back.

Papa III / Terzo

Lust

intense or unbridled sexual desire

No one should be surprised by this. Our beloved Terzo flirted, charmed, and thrusted his way into all of our hearts. The man was a walking representation of sex and all that comes with it and goddamnit do I love him for it.

Papa Emeritus IV / Copia

Greed

uncontrolled longing for increase in the acquisition or use of material gain or social value

Copia kind of stumbled into this one. He has some colossal shoes to fill after I, II, and III made their marks and little confidence in him from his superiors to be able to do it. Thus, everything is turned up to the maximum- impressive costumes, arena shows, lights and pyrotechnics. It’s all a display, a peacock shaking his feathers in everyone’s faces. His striving for glamor and popularity essentially became a default. It all started with those employee of the month awards…

I feel. like I’ve asked you this before. what were ur interests in hetalia.

I honestly don't remember if I've told you this before haha but I will say it (again) anyway.

I got into Hetalia 10+ years ago as a means of saving myself from History Classes in highschool, don't know if it was the teacher or the school system, or me being neurodivergent but I was struggling.

And I had heard about an anime where the countries were characters so i was like: 'why not watch it?' At that point I would try anything, and to my surprise Hetalia episodes were just 5 minutes long, perfect! if it doesn't work I wouldn't have wasted that much time anyway, but it did work.

My shift in perspective during class made it fun, thing is I did like History and learning and school but for some reason History was not a subject i enjoyed... but when you start thinking of History Events as 'these little guys doing things', it makes it easier to click. It was like getting tea on some strangers.

I fell into the rabbit hole that is the Hetalia fandom, specifically the Hispanic one which I love and adore, and got invested beyond my initial objective and to this day I love Hetalia.

I love the manga that keeps getting updated, I love the random anime adaptations it gets after years of being forgotten by the general public who then gets whiplash when they see Hetalia getting a new season before their beloved show, I love the multiple theater and musical adaptations both inside and outside of Japan, I love the fanarts the fandom makes specifically whenever a Worldwide event happens like the Olympics, I love the fandom inside jokes, I love the trend #ShutUpGringo 2020 & 2022 that started in the Hispanic Hetalia fandom and then later spread to other fandoms as a protest to Usamericans trying to police the enjoyment of media and the rest of the world being tired of them, I love Himaruya the creator who in recent years created a new series based on Japan past Prime Ministers and even collaborated with the government to create publicity for the Train System and made the Japanese Train Lines into anime boys, iconic, never change Himaruya.

hi!! i've been closely following your readings of the damned fics and i've been loving each and every chapter of them so far!! i have had one question pop up every time i read it, though: how would lisa and father garcia react to john joining the cult? surely, garcia would still go on to try and stop the profane sabbath, right? even if john isn't there to help him? and i'm sure lisa would be worried about him too!!

Good question! So good it makes me wonder if I accidentally leaked the docs link to my current draft for chapter 2 of The Lovers 🤔

In all seriousness though, their reactions are something I do plan on exploring eventually. One sooner than the other. I’ll try to explain it as best I can without spoiling anything.

Where Garcia is concerned, we’ve seen that he’s a very determined and unrelenting force in his mission to stop the Profane Sabbath and cleanse the world of demons. He’s a lot more steadfast and resistant towards the forces of the UNSPEAKABLE and Gary than John is. Being so much older and having much more experience with conflict has given him a resilience. (Though as we’ve seen with John, even those with the strongest of faith can fall to the forces of the Devil.) He’s also hellbent on saving anyone that he can, as evidence by the whole ordeal with Michael, the desperation to find the twins, and even going as far to follow John into the darkness to help him. Suffice to say, he’s already gone after John once when he sensed something was wrong. Who’s to say he wouldn’t do it again?

And who’s to say he won’t fail again, even if he does so unknowingly?

As for Lisa… Lisa’s tougher than she knows or gives herself credit for. But being tough only gets you so far when you’re living in a den of wolves. She still has a soft heart and a susceptible soul. She might not trust anybody in the building after what she’s experienced with the cult, but she does trust John. He’s her oldest and dearest friend after all! Her first love! The one person she feels she can turn to no matter what and always depend upon, especially now that they’re older and life has only gotten stranger and more complicated. He’s her hero! They’re each other’s rock and safe space. Home is wherever they are together. So finding out he’s joined the cult will certainly give her mixed feelings. Sure, it’s Gary’s Cult… but it’s also John. He could be Charon leading her across the River Styx and Lisa would only ever see him as Moses parting the Red Sea and leading her to the Promised Land.

How that story ends is truly anyone’s guess. :3c

Oh I really like this question! It was interesting to turn over in my brain.

I would say Rhiki is moderately protective.

Z'rhiki absolutely wants to keep her partner from harm, and she'd go to any lengths to keep them safe. That being said, In most situations, especially normal, everyday ones, she's too laid back and permissive to be very protective. This is especially true with romantic partners She can be kind of careless herself, after all, and often lacks foresight. So she's not one to chide them for staying out in the rain or not getting enough sleep. If they got a cold or felt terrible in the morning she would just laugh at them and offer to make some coffee. She also doesn't jump to conclusions or immediately take to the streets if her partner is late getting home, or delayed while traveling (unless she has other reasons to believe something bad may have happened, of course.) She's not exactly in a position to judge them for doing something stupid and risky, either. She's not that much of a hypocrite.

There are limits, of course, and if Rhiki knew or strongly suspected her partner was about to be in mortal danger she would absolutely try to insert herself between them and whatever is threatening them. If they wanted or needed her help, she'd be there in a heartbeat. If they were set on doing something perilous, she wouldn't necessarily try to stop them, but she would insist on coming along. If they go off to do something dangerous and ill-advised, she'd feel terribly left out, after all. And in the moment she wouldn't think before rushing to her partner's defense. She'd fight tooth and nail to protect them, even if it put her at risk of serious harm.

Her feelings on a partner protecting her are... mixed. On the one hand, she does find it very touching that they care so much about her safety and want to help her. After getting a few primals under her belt, it sometimes feels like her friends and coworkers take for granted that she'll always emerge victorious and unscathed. She's the Warrior of Light, after all. She always wins and saves the world. Even if they are worried, it mostly amounts to hand-wringing and prayers to Hydaelyn for her safe return. There's pragmatism to that, of course, but having someone want to save her? It's kind of a nice change of pace. The fact that they wanted to protect her would make her feel like they would actually really care if something happened to her. She's kind of come to terms with the fact that she's probably going to die saving the world one of these days, but she's not thrilled by the fact that most of the people she knows have also come to terms with it. The Scions and her other friends certainly don't want her to die for the sake of the world, and some of them may even be upset when it happens, but they've by and large accepted it. Saving the world comes at a price, and they're all willing to pay it themselves. But... it kind of does make her feel a little better to think that there's someone it would really, really matter to. That someone would cry over her or be angry on her behalf over how unfair it all is.

On the other hand... in practice she absolutely does not want her partner to protect her. At least not in life-or-death circumstances. Protecting her would mean putting themselves in harms way, and it would absolutely tear her up inside if someone she cared about was hurt or killed trying to protect her. She doesn't want anyone dying for her. She might eventually forgive them for doing it, but she'd never forgive herself for causing it to happen. They may think they're doing something loving and selfless, but she knows better.

Because she knows herself too. And she knows that, as much as her desire to protect her partner is born of love, it's also tinged with a little bit of selfishness.

Because she doesn't want to be the one who gets left behind.

Oh BOY. Despite reading pretty much exclusively on ao3 most of these fics are not on ao3. I should tidy them up and put them on there.

5) X-Unit- written by a very lonely 15yo with a self-insert that was cool with friends! It's a little cringeworthy to read back on but I was very proud at the time and 25yo me is very proud of that kid. Also it was added to a Best Original X-Men Characters folder which made me so proud.

4)- A Visitor- This one is on ao3! No special story, I just got a oneshot idea and carried it out but I liked it.

3) Hawk and Wolf- One I could definitely clean up but I was 16 when I wrote it! I had some amazing feedback on it, it was the longest fic I'd ever written and I would one day like to get it onto ao3.

2) Bows And Wands- I worked hard on this, rewrote it twice, published and was really proud of it. Now I have more complicated feelings about it, since you know- Jowling Kowling. So that's officially abandoned but I'll never delete it because it was about the only thing that kept me writing at one point.

1) Untitled- A Warriors fic that I wrote before I even knew fanfiction was a thing. It's unpublished, existing solely on a PowerPoint on an old memory stick (I don't know why 10yo me decided to write on a PowerPoint instead of... Word but never mind). It's cringy, it's filled with OCs, it scrambles canon up completely and it is absolutely bursting with love for writing and the canon. I love it deeply and I will never ever publish or show it to anyone.

How do you think Emily Windsnap would have gone if she were a mermaid and didn’t know she was half human?

Good question! Probably a lot like Pixar’s Luca. Just as Emily felt mysteriously drawn to the water in the books, this time she’d feel mysteriously drawn to the land. Emily might be raised by Jake, who is still loving but much more overprotective (think Marlin in Finding Nemo). OR Emily is raised in an orphanage/foster home, if Jake still went to prison for marrying a human . In the latter case she’d still hear all about who Jake is and what he’d done.

One day Emily discovers she can grow legs. She’s freaked out at first, but gets over the shock quickly and happily uses her new legs to go explore the human world. Of course she’d keep these land visits secret from Shiprock. As King Neptune still hates humans and forbids fraternizing with them. She’d befriend Mandy first. Mandy’s dad is still a mermaid hunter, so Mandy and Emily would have to keep their friendship secret. Or Mandy just lies to her dad about Emily being human. Mandy would show Emily all around Brightport, where they meet Mystic Millie. Millie senses something special about Emily and brings her to meet Mary P. Mary P. feels an immediate closeness with Emily, but can’t pinpoint why. Let’s suppose Mary P. is again M-drugged, so maybe Emily’s presence makes the M-drug wear off? Millie later confides to Emily, that Mary once claimed she married a merman (Jake) and had his child. Everyone except Millie brushed her off as being crazy. Millie in fact saved all the poems Jake sent Mary P. and shows them to Emily. Maybe some photos of Jake&Mary P. too. At that moment , Emily realizes that she is half human and that Mary P. is her mom. Cue heartwarming reunion between Emily and Mary P.

What happens next depends on Jake’s situation. If he’s raising Emily, she’ll confront him about Mary P., and the father-daughter duo will team up to reunite with her mother! Emily either brings Mary P. to the ocean to meet Jake, or smuggles Jake onto land —he could have some human disguise — bringing him to Mary P. OR if Jake’s still in prison, then what happens next is same as in the books.

If you could talk to any animal, what would it be and what would you talk about?

I would so totally love to talk to a cat. It probably wouldn't even a serious conversation either, it would just be me nodding along as my cat tells me about all the 'weird' things he sees me do ("why do you say 'muffin blob poo pink' in cat all the time, human?" "What is the point of staring at whatever's in front of you when you could be looking at me?"). Either that, or we'd have a whole conversation about some random question that would randomly pop into my head ("What does it feel like when you shake your head and your ears flop against the top of your head? Do you have music preferences?")

i'm glad my words struck a good chord with you!!! i actually have quite a few f/os who are interested in The Arts in some fashion; it's actually way more common than i initially realized until i was looking over my list!

like, in terms of what's strictly canon, Tim Wright is a musician (he plays the ukulele and would have done the music for Alex's student film if the Slandyman hadn't happened), Fate is a writer (he spends most of the second half of the game writing a novel), Tech is a TV actor (the name he goes by is actually the name of the character he plays on his show), Steph is a painter (her paintings are actually pretty important to the plot), Nikola is a stage actress (of sorts; she's a circus ringmistress and a dancer), Bruno is also a painter (i firmly believe he painted his little theater sets himself), the Dude, Stop narrator seems to have made all the art for his game himself (since he mentions having to draw a new vase in the first level), and Fantoccio is a stage actor! (also, on the familial side, Helmut is both a stage actor and a musician!)

i also headcanon that Rouxls would be a stage actor if he wasn't the Duke of Puzzles, Gerry likes to draw in his spare time, Kars is one redemption arc away from getting into sculpting, the tattoo design Grady describes in canon is not his first or last tattoo design idea, Bruce writes poetry, Aurelia plays the piano and violin, and Hollis likes embroidery!

11: what’s one canon character all of you ocs LOVE? one they all HATE?

okay so for love i would def have to say Owen.. his timid nature combined with his whore tendencies make him a magnet for Being Generally Liked to the point where his two (2) canon love interests are actually both minor antagonists in the story LMFAO

for one they all hate .. well it's Abbi and Loreina's father 💀 my man severed the connection between humans and magic by killing all dragons and toppled his own kingdom into ruin . so yeah he is not Well Liked

33: which oc has the most genre awareness? which oc has the least?

okay this one is really fun.. for Most i would have to say Annora! shes like the brains of the whole team, and having spent most of her life as somewhat of a shut in she's had a lot of time to consume media. combined with the fact that shes from Our world, and not Abbi's world (which doesnt have TV or large scale media consumption outside of say, books and theatre) she has more of a clue in to whats going on than most other characters.

for the least im definately going to go with a tie between Abbi and Frith (copout i know) but its for a good reason! and that reason is that they are foils to each other. blah blah something about prophecies something something being your own destruction blah blah recognition of self through the other- you get it .

37: which oc has the best handwriting? the worst?

a fun one :) .. Maria has the best handwriting simply bc her emo phase gave her a weird love of word art and caligraphy.. cant have an angsty diary entry without the appropriate dramatic visuals to back it up!

as for the worst its definately got to be Felix... typical straight boy handwriting, borderline illegible. chicken scratch.

I’ll do these for Pent because I had a dream about him

💿- Tbh I can see us re-watching Beetlejuice a lot, I think he’d enjoy it. As far as music I headcannon Pent to have and AWFUL taste in music, so he’d always let my insert pick the music to listen to, maybe we’ll sing and dance to it :-)

🌻- my insert and Pent live together in his house (along with his friend, Smack) her and Pent used to have separate bedrooms but they now sleep together in the same room. What makes it cozy is a soft, comfy place to sit, also because of Oscar, Pent’s cat. My insert would decorate it for the holidays, especially around Halloween.

🧸- I love, well at least the idea of, cuddling with your partner on a rainy day, I headcannon that Pent secretly loves cuddles and physical affection, hold him in any way and he’ll be putty in your hands. But as well as cuddling we’ll also have some snacks and drinks and we’ll play some Smash Bros, which is Pent’s favorite game.

Ooh, this is going to be fun. A note: the only Star Ears TV show I've seen is The Mandalorian, so this is pretty much just based on the movies.

favorite male character: Lando Calrissian

favorite female character: Leia Organa/Skywalker

least favorite character: Watto

prettiest character: Qi'ra

funniest character: R2-D2, closely followed by L3-37 and K-2SO (droids are the only ones with decent senses of humor in the whole franchise besides maybe Obi-Wan)

favorite season: uh, since it's a movie franchise, I'll pick a trilogy - the original trilogy

favorite episode: I guess technically they are episodes mostly. But Rogue One, hands down

favorite romantic ship: Holdo/Leia because they just have the best vibes

favorite family ship: Rey/Finn/Poe triad + BB8. To clarify, it's a true poly triad and Rey is aro/ace and they collect others into their found family

favorite friend ship: Han/Chewie closely followed by Han/Lando

worst ship: Rey/Kylo. I was about to say there were a lot of terrible ships and I couldn't pick one, but then I remembered Reylo. But honestly, there are a lot of terrible Star Wars ships.
