Enjoying all of the lore changes you've made to the Mind Flayers, including the change to Thoon. IMO when the concept of Thoon was first introduced, it felt annoyingly undercooked; it was basically one big blank check to DMs to have weirdo mind flayers but with no real guidance. Any flayer asked about Thoon was supposed to go "lmao, this idiot doesn't know about Thoon? How can you not know? It's everything and all things." Will you be statting out Thoon and the God Brain as well?

In my schema, Ilsensine is a true god, and therefore won't be getting stats. I intended Thoon to be a Great Old One, so it could theoretically get statistics. I'm not in a particular hurry to do so, though. I'm more interested in statting up some of the earlier illithid-adjacent monsters, like the illithidae from Dragon 150, the alhoon, and the brain golem. Maybe I'll do the Thoon constructs, Thoon thralls, etc. some day, but it's not one of my higher priorities.

My partner (Tealix) and I (Skullduggery) are a queer mixed-race couple actively working on a modular D&D supplement. It is a complete reimagining of Thoon (of illithid lore) as a goth metal bard and Christ-like figure. There is an entire backstory being written for Thoon to go along with the supplement as we play-test our mechanics. It is set on a cyberpunk modern world and strongly features queer romance with poly, trans, and intersex rep, as well as anti-capitalist, anti-colonial, and pro-indigenous themes.

Thoon’s story is one of love and forgiveness, overcoming trauma, and subverting the expectations placed upon you.

The supplement will include:

💜 A new elective mechanics set for illithid psionics to make them and individual creeds playable!

🤍 New setting to explore!

💜 New monsters with stat sheets!

Ramsay isn't a bastard, King Joffrey legitimized him two months ago and Lord Roose is going to make him castellan of the Dreadfort soon. He loves his son and trusts his abilities. Plus, Ramsay is being awarded for his efforts in saving Winterfell and putting a stop to the ironborn raids in the North by being betrothed to Arya Stark—would a bastard be granted that honor? I don't think so.

The funniest thing to me about Rick Riordan's books is the idea of "fading". That's the concept that when gods are forgotten or no longer worshipped by mortals, they'll cease to exist.

This is a common trope in fantasy works about gods -- you see it in American Gods, Discworld, Star Trek, etc -- but as Riordan writes more books and brings in crazier mythical deep cuts, the mechanic only gets more unintentionally hilarious.

You're telling me that Helios and Selene have vanished from existence because not enough humans remember them, but Akhlys is still kicking? Thoon? Cardea?!

Do you ever think that, wherever Helios and Selene's essences wound up, they're a bit pissed about this?

figured that since it's been 10 whole years since I first drew this character, I should redraw her once again! I really like some of the stylistic changes I've made since the last iteration. I also changed her name - it used to be ihsan, which while pretty didn't really feel like it suited her anymore so I changed it to idunn (pronounced EE-thoon). the name comes from a norse goddess associated with apples (appropriate for a fall inspired oc, I thought) and the name itself apparently means 'rejuvenator' which I thought was fitting for a character I keep coming back to redraw and, essentially, rejuvenate every few years!
