Amish White Bread

Some of the nicest dough I've ever made!

{ID: a book page that reads a recipe for "Amish White Bread":

Ingredients:

2 cups water

⅔ cup sugar

1½ tbsp yeast

1½ tsp salt

¼ cup oil

6 cups flour

------------------

Directions:

Dissolve sugar in warm water, mix in yeast. Add salt and oil, then add flour a cup at a time. Knead dough, then place in a lightly oiled bowl to rise. Punch down dough, knead again and divide in half. Shape into loaves and place in oiled pans. Rise for 30 minutes then bake in the oven at 350° F for 30 minutes.}

The bread is super soft and fluffy with a crispy crust, though I would reccomend cooking it for longer than 30 minutes. I had to cook it for an extra 15-20 minutes though it could've been the pan I used (not actually a loaf pan) :-) I would say experiment and keep an eye on it !
