Trans BG3 Headcanon

One day in Baldur’s Gate, a magistrate with a miserable air about her pale features caught the eye of a brash bodyguard of Gortash, his red, muscular shoulders tense and his gaze pointed solemnly at the floor.

The two of them spoke, realising both had something in common, their general malaise towards the state of life itself. Their discontent clinging on every word that left their frowning lips. A similar malady that harmonised in both of their frustrated musings on whatever it was that made them both so miserable.

As the night grew on the wine flowed from its bottles into the magistrate’s glass; and the ale disappeared just as fast from the tankard upon tankard ordered by the bodyguard. And the two of them realised that they liked the others features much more than was regular. Not in the usual way that liquor makes one look. An intense envy in the magistrate’s heart at the flatness of the bodyguard’s chest. A yearning for his broader shoulders to be hers instead. And in turn, the bodyguard wished for the magistrate’s curves to be his.

Emboldened, the two sought out for a surgeon or a wizard among the city streets who could solve these problems for them. The details of how it happened aren’t relevant, but the magistrate walked away a handsome, dashing man. And the bodyguard walked away a strong, yet beautiful woman.

Karlach and Astarion didn’t recognise each other when they met again, years later. But in the back of their minds they remembered the sad souls they used to be, before that chance meeting in Baldur’s Gate.

New Furisó fan fiction is here! Trans Halsin and Trans Karlach has there babies. Wholesomeness happened. I did write this while being at work so it might not be good lol. @autistichalsin

Halsin had given birth to a beautiful set of twins on the winter solstice. The identical twin girls were everything to Karlach and Halsin. Their pinkish skin tone matched with the color of their eyes. The only thing that made them different was that one of them had horns to match their mother. Kendra and Kacee were the names chosen and the new parents couldn't be happier with their lives. Halsin stays in the tree house while Karlach is out hunting, the both of them deciding to retire from adventuring with the twins are still infants. Halsin loves his daughters with all his heart, so much so that Karlach knows they are already spoiled after only living for two months.

"Darling, you can't keep spoiling them.' Karlach reminds her husband.

'I know but I can't help it. Look at how adorable they are.' Halsin responds looking down at the twins in the crib he whittled himself.

'They are adorable. Just like their daddy.' Karlach smirks before wrapping her arms around Halsin's waist.

'They get it from their mother.' Halsin counters, turning to kiss Karlach.

Astarion- 1. He couldn't care less 2. He knows what it's like to not feel like yourself in your own body and wouldn't wish it on anyone (well, maybe his enemies)

Lae'zel- she also wouldn't really care but she'd personally kill anyone who said anything bad to tav

Wyll- he also knows what it's like to come to terms with realizing that you cant change yourself, he would 100% accept and love you

Gale- "well I for one am no one to judge any mortal, or God for that matter, on what they say they are or aren't. We are all creatures of the weave and the weave cares not for the meager rules of society so neither shall i. You do what you believe is right for you."

Karlach- once again, she knows what it's like to not have autonomy over yourself so would 100% support and love you and she would also personally curb stomp anyone who is mean along with lae'zel

Shadowheart- has had a trans friend before, that says enough

Bonus

Halsin- literally a druid who changes shape whenever he wants idc he would support you

Minthara- kinda the same as lae'zel, wouldnt totally understand and would definitely insult you in some way but in a way that was supposed to be supportive

Withers- "doth thou require a class change?" (He tried)

bg3 companions rated on how good i think they would be at administering hormone shots

wyll: he would do it so carefully and correctly and i wouldnt feel a thing. i do however think that he would try to Talk abt it afterward. 8/10

karlach: she’d be scared to do it which would make me scared, but with a small pep talk she’d eventually be able to do it. Shaky hands maybe. 6/10

shadowheart: she does it every week, 9/10

halsin: gentle and cautious and would not have any reservations, but also wouldnt get weird and personal about it. 10/10

astarion: he’d be grossed out at the idea and even if he could be convinced he would whine and bitch. would not let him near me with a needle. 0/10

lae’zel: she’d be appalled that someone would even ask her because of who she is, but if we’re friends then with careful instruction she could get it done. 7/10

jaheira: cis mother of trans kids, 8/10

minthara: estrogen, its scary but 8/10. testosterone, she would refuse and berate me. 2/10

A little blurb written for my new friend @autistichalsin in which trans Halsin and Trans Karlach are expecting a baby and she kicks for the first time

When Karlach and Halsin came out to each other it only fueled the love that they had for each other more. They spent days away from camp lovingly holding each other in the secret treehouse that Halsin had built as a hideaway for when the fighting between the group had become too much. However, when Halsin discovered he was pregnant they spent even more time in the treehouse, Karlach insisted that he not go on adventures anymore to reduce the risk of the baby coming to any harm. Although he missed the adventuring with the rest of the party he did enjoy being pampered by his lovely girlfriend. She had just come back from hunting when Halsin called her over.

“What is it Papa Bear?” she asked, looking almost concerned

“Give me your hand.” he smiled, reaching for her hand.

“Ok…” she said, confused but held out her hand.

He took her hand and placed it on his stomach and waited. “I know you’re not the most patient but just wait.” he said as if he could feel her getting antsy. Before long, the baby had kicked like she had been all day. Karlach’s head shot up, her eyes beaming brightly.

“Oh my gods!” she squealed happily before picking Halsin up into a giant bear hug.

“She’s been kicking all day. I was just waiting to see your reaction to her.” Halsin said after being put down.

“We have to tell the rest of the party!” Karlach grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the treehouse gently, despite her excitement.

When I first started typing this out I apologized for this vent but you know what? I'm not the least bit sorry, the BG3 fandom needs to hear this.

Being a queer fan in this fandom is beyond depressing, even more so if you're a queer dude or masc aligned person. It's like being transported 10-15 years back in time and I mean that in the worst way. Back to when producing queer content whether M/M or F/F would at best get you passive-aggressively ignored by the majority of fandom. Worst case involved doxxing and financial ruining people for writing characters as queer just in case you were wondering what that was like back then.

If you're trans of any stripe then it's even worse.

People will bend over backwards to defend this with preferences but you've conspired to create a climate where events will be promoted no matter the content as long as straightness can be assumed and centered, but the moment an event is created to specifically promote and create queer content it is suspect and needs to be vetted before it can be considered if it can maybe be promoted.

The BG3 fandom's frankly reactionary and conservative behavior is almost making me regret picking up this game in the first place. It is certainly making me regret getting involved in the fandom even in a small capacity. This isn't a place where fans like me are welcome, the best we can hope for is being allowed to be tolerated and only if we accept living at the edge of it and lived for too long in a world where this is all I'm ever allowed to put up with it in a space that's supposed to be for fun.
