Nach dem Frühstück leihen wir uns Schnorchel aus und suchen das Auto. Es ist wirklich ein wenig wie eine Schnitzeljagd. Erst müssen wir das Auto finden, dann die Schlusselbox öffnen und dann den anderen Schlüssel im Sitz versteckt finden. 🤣

Jetzt heißt es noch Bilder machen vom Zustand des Autos und zurück zum Hostel um die Bilder hochzuladen. Puh echt anstrengend. Jetzt haben wirs aber, also geht es jetzt noch zum Starbucks und looos geht's zu den Manoa Falls. Ein kleiner 1 h Hike (der jetzt nicht sooo spektakulär war wie erhofft.) Ich bin aber auch etwas abgestumpft was Wasserfälle angeht.

Wir fahren die Küste entlang und halten immer Mal wieder an schönen Orten. (Wobei ein Halt an vielen Orten aufgrund von Parkplatzmangel nicht möglich ist.) Wir halten am Turtlebeach und ich bin wenig beeindruckt von dieser Tourisenüberfüllten Bucht. Auf schnorcheln habe ich eigentlich auch keine Lust aber wir haben Schnorchel ausgeliehen also los. Meine Maske ist äußerst seltsam. Die Nase ist aus Kunststoff. Druckausgleich ist somit unmöglich (was ich aber gerade beim schnorcheln ständig machen muss...) Beim schnorcheln kommt Luft in die Nase, sofern man die Luft anhält. Also muss ich mit dem Mund einatmen und durch die Nase ausatmen. Whaaaat? Das dauert etwas, bis ich den Dreh raus habe, ohne Wasser in die Maske zu bekommen. Und wie wir hier so schnorcheln, entdecken wir direkt eine Schildkröte und schwimmen mit ihr. Es ist echt cool zu sehen, wie sie frisst und sich im Wasser so elegant fortbewegt. 🤗😍

Die Strömung ist echt stark und wir müssen mit den ganzen Felsen echt aufpassen, dass wir uns nicht die Knie aufreißen. Dazu läuft meine Brille ständig an, obwohl ich vorher hineingespuckt habe, damit sie eben nicht anläuft... Wir sehen noch eine zweite kleinere Schildkröte und gehen dann aber auch bald weiter.

North shore bietet einen wundervollen Strand. Hier sollen die größten Wellen sein, naja soooo groß sind sie jetzt auch nicht. Aber der Ort ist einfach fantastisch und der Sonnenuntergang einfach der Wahnsinn. 🤗🥳

Jetzt müssen wir uns aber auf den Rückweg machen. Also schnell zum Auto, verdammt ich bekomme das Auto wieder nicht auf. Bestimmt habe ich wieder den falschen Schlüssel genommen. Aber nein, auch der zweite Schlüssel funktioniert nicht... ich probiere es nochmal und verzweifel langsam. Bis ich folgendes feststelle... unser Auto ist das Auto nebenan... Upsiiii... Schnell ins Auto und los, bevor uns jemand beobachtet hat. Haha.

Da wir Hunger haben, beschließen wir zum MC Donalds zu gehen. Vielleicht haben sie ja dieses Happymeal für Erwachsene das es in Amerika geben soll.😍

Dort angekommen bin ich echt enttäuscht. Keine Supersize, keine Burger in der Größe eines Kinderkopfes, keine 3 Liter Getränke, keine 1 $ Menüs... Nein, es ist einfach wie in Deutschland.🥲

Aber verhältnismäßig ist es ziemlich günstig. Ich würde sagen das Essen kostet so viel wie in Deutschland. So 10 $ für ein gutes Menü. Da in Maui aber selbst ein Sandwich im Supermarkt ca. 10 $ kostet ist das Essen ziemlich günstig. Zurück in Waikiki, fahre ich die Mädels zu ihrem Hostel und wir holen ihr Gepäck, ehe ich sie zum anderen Hostel fahre in dem sie einchecken. Jetzt sind wir leider schon 30 Minuten zu spät... Oh nooo.

Wir fahren wieder zu der Straße in der wir das Auto abgeholt haben und suchen einen Parkplatz...

Da ist einer... Der ist perfekt... OK warte... Direkt vor den Obdachlosen... Wir können das Auto nicht dort parken, besonders, da wir die Autoschlüssel verstecken müssen. Also heißt es weiter suchen. Finally...

Endlich... Also geht es wieder zurück zum Hostel. Schnell versuchen den Pick Up Point für morgen herauszufinden und ab ins Bett. Leider ist das nicht sooo klar kommuniziert und wir entscheiden uns einfach an einen anderen Abholpunkt zu gehen, der auch einfacher für die Mädels zu erreichen ist.
