streamer Lando Norris x artist/reader
Tumblr media
In a world where streaming had become the new norm, Lando Norris found himself in an unlikely partnership with a female streamer. Their names were as different as their personalities; he, a young, charismatic racer with a penchant for speed and risk-taking; she, an enigmatic artist with a flair for storytelling and an uncanny ability to connect with her audience. Their partnership was not born out of convenience or necessity, but rather, a strange and inexplicable twist of fate.
As they streamed together, their chemistry was undeniable. Lando would bring the thrill of the race to the screen, his fingers dancing across the controller as he maneuvered his way through virtual tracks at breakneck speeds. His laughter and cheers echoed through the studio, filling the air with an infectious energy that seemed to lift the spirits of everyone around him. On the other hand, the female streamer would take the reins when it came to interacting with their audience, engaging in witty banter and sharing intimate details about her life as an artist.
Their fans, known as the "Lando's Angels" and the "Artiste's Aficionados," were equally devoted. They would tune in religiously to witness the dynamic duo's antics, often spending hours in their streams, cheering them on and leaving generous donations. The streamer pair's popularity only grew with time, transcending the boundaries of gaming and art. They became cultural icons, their influence spreading far and wide.
Lando and the female streamer continued to push each other to greater heights, experimenting with new games, art forms, and storytelling techniques. They embarked on charity streams, using their platform to raise awareness and funds for various causes close to their hearts. Their partnership was not without its share of challenges, of course. They had their fair share of arguments and disagreements, but they always managed to find common ground and work through their differences.
As their fame grew, so did the pressure. Lando found himself constantly in the spotlight, his every move scrutinized by fans and critics alike. He struggled with maintaining a private life and the constant need to be "on" for his audience. The female streamer, on the other hand, dealt with her own set of challenges as she navigated the often-misogynistic landscape of the streaming world. Despite these obstacles, they remained a beacon of positivity and resilience, inspiring countless others to chase their dreams and find their own unique voices in the world of streaming and art.
Their partnership eventually evolved into something more than just a professional arrangement. As they spent more time together, traveling the world for gaming and art conventions, attending exclusive events, and collaborating on creative projects, a deep bond began to form between them. Lando found himself falling for the enigmatic artist, her wit, charm, and unyielding strength winning him over. She, in turn, found herself drawn to his vulnerability, his willingness to open up and share his fears and insecurities with her. Their relationship was not without its fair share of challenges, but they faced them together, their love for each other serving as a guiding light.
As their personal lives intertwined, so did their professional lives. They launched their own production company, hiring a team of talented streamers and artists to join them in their quest to create something truly special. Together, they pushed the boundaries of what was possible in the world of streaming and art, exploring new genres, mediums, and storytelling techniques. Their streams became less about the games they played or the art they created and more about the stories they told, the lives they shared, and the connections they forged with their audience.

do u know who each of the virtual singers r supposed to represent in each Sekai? I think some are more obvious than others (Saki and Ena for Rin), but I’m not sure about everyone
The general concept of the Leo/need Vsingers seems to be derived from Saki's idea of an "ideal high school experience", so there's a big focus on senpai-kohai dynamics.
Luka is pretty much entirely based on the ideal senpai that Saki wanted in high school. She's kind, responsible, mature. She's what you'd expect from a good senpai.
Miku takes some traits from Ichika. Both of them are somewhat insecure about their abilities, but nonetheless hardworking. Also both of them are easy to embarrass.
Rin is literally just Saki - she’s energetic, enthusiastic, and nicknames all her friends; they have similar interests, such as hairstyling, and Rin has even read some of Saki's manga collection.
KAITO seems to take traits from both Ichika and Shiho: he's shy and underconfident like Ichika, and introverted yet passionate about music like Shiho. However his introversion is dialed up from Ichika and Shiho’s, and he doesn’t think he would be able to handle the social life that the girls have.
MEIKO acts as a foil to Honami, being more confident and better at facing conflict, but she does have some similar traits to her as well, such as being the "team mom" figure.
Len is usually associated with Honami and is sometimes used to reflect her conflicts in stories. His personality doesn't seem to heavily influenced by anyone though.
MORE MORE JUMP!'s Virtual Singers seem largely inspired by Minori's idealistic view of the idol industry.
Specifically Miku seems to be based on the idea of a perfect idol, or, Minori's impression of Haruka before actually meeting her in-person. Also this Miku starts off as a pretty flat character and is gradually given more personality and character quirks, which might reflect Minori learning about the real Haruka.
Rin is based on Minori. They’re both amateur idols striving to be at the same level as their peers. They’re also both upbeat, optimistic and somewhat naive. Rin looks up a lot to her fellow idols, yet another trait shared with Minori. Huh.
Len is based on Haruka. He has her “princely idol aura” that is practically just his actual personality, as well as Haruka’s level-headedness and maturity.
Luka is based on Shizuku, she's the “perfect”, elegant idol who's actually more of an airhead than her image lets on. There's a reason she first appears in Color of Myself! and acts as Shizuku’s main confidant
MEIKO is more difficult to place, but I think she might be derived from Airi a bit - her speciality is interacting with the audience, something Airi is good at thanks to her TV work. Also both of them have a similar sort of peppiness.
KAITO is more of a composite character - he's a huge fan of idols, just like Minori and Airi, he has Haruka's workaholic tendencies, and Haruka and Airi's responsibility and organisation. There's probably something that links him to Shizuku that I'm forgetting.
next three are much longer because deeper lore and because i found a better writing flow, so they’re under the cut
Vivid BAD SQAUD's virtual singers are an odd case in which it's not extremely obvious which member they are derived from.
MEIKO is very clearly meant to be a Vsinger equivalent to Ken, instead of any of the members. She acts as a sort of guiding figure to them and has a sort of parental vibe similar to how Ken is with all the VBS kids. Neither of them are active as singers either. I also read an interesting theory that she's based on Kohane recently, which you can find here (near the bottom of the first section).
Miku has traits of everyone in VBS except Kohane: Akito's competitiveness and sore loser tendencies, Toya's more cool/calm demeanour, his love of coffee, and abysmal cooking skills, and An's passion for music (which all of them have but An’s is what unlocked the SEKAI). Someone also sent in an ask one time saying that she might be based on Nagi to some extent, which I think makes sense but is probably just coincidental since I think Nagi was added to the VBS story pretty late.
KAITO is derived from the BAD DOGS members, even if it isn't apparent at first because of how outwardly different he is. He's more of a foil to them, but has a lot of their personality traits. He has Akito's sweet tooth and tendency to be lazy about things that don't interest him, and Toya's air-headedness and strong skills in his field of interest.
Luka seems a lot like An, she's energetic and carefree, though I also believe that these could be taken from Nagi as well, since Luka was added after Nagi was first mentioned (but just before she first appeared) so they were probably written at the same time).
Len is a bit more obvious - he takes a lot of traits from Akito. Both of them want to be respected by the people around them, and hate it when people treat them as inferior. Akito has a lighthearted rivalry with An but has a lot of respect for Toya, while Len has both of these with his own partner, Rin.
Rin has traits from multiple characters like Miku does. She bickers with Len just like An and Akito do with each other, and she's the most affected by An's grief in Light Up the Fire. Both she and An are pretty energetic as well. On the other hand, she has Akito's stubborness and more tsundere-ish traits. As a third option, Akito and Rin's first kizuna title is "Speaking of pancakes" and their third kizuna title is "You remind me of...", suggesting that Akito might see Ena in her.
Also Rin and Len are usually used to reflect any conflicts that Vivids and BAD DOGS have, for example in the main story when Rin and Len split and then BAD DOGS did later in the story.
WonderlandsxShowtime's VSingers are fun for me to explain actually, because while it's explicitly stated that everything in the SEKAI reflects something from Tsukasa's psyche (#5 & 6 here), there's still the fact that fate might be real in the game.
Since everything in the SEKAI is a part of Tsukasa’s psyche, this has to extend to the Virtual Singers. They even have stars on their costumes just to make it clear. Think of it like in cartoons and comics when a character gets split into all their different personalities. Presumably: KAITO is his responsible older brother side, MEIKO is his creativity, Len is his curiosity and enthusiasm, and Rin is his more childish/playful side. The SEKAI is formed from things from his childhood (keep that in mind), which is probably why Miku acts like a kid (same applies to Rin. and Len. and a lot of things). Luka is from his desire to make people happy. Now in more detail:
KAITO is by far the most responsible and mature Vsinger in Wonderland SEKAI, and also happens to be their troupe leader. He's very caring in an older sibling-type way; Emu even calls him KAITO-nii-chan (big brother KAITO). That said, KAITO is sort of a foil to Tsukasa, being much more level-headed and humble than Tsukasa is. I think that may be to highlight the idea that he's created from specifically the reliable older brother part of Tsukasa' personality.
There's some older stuff on this blog where I wasn't sure exactly where Luka came from, but apparently it's explicitly stated in her debut card story that she comes from Tsukasa's desire to make people happy. My bad. She only sleeps when everyone is smiling, and will be wide awake when something is wrong. Makes sense, since she debuted in Tenma Household's Hinamatsuri, in which Saki and Tsukasa had a falling out, and Saki is the source of Tsukasa's drive to make people smile.
Now we get into weird fate shit and SEKAI physics. Miku is quite childish and is implied to be younger than the members of WxS, which makes sense when you consider that the Wonderland SEKAI draws from Tsukasa's childhood memories and the shows he put on for Saki. That said, she also heavily draws from Emu, with them both using the same type of speech, being very hyperactive, full of childlike wonder etc. Miku existed before Tsukasa knew who Emu was, so it could be that Miku is entirely based on Tsukasa's experience with childhood, but also Miku knows who Emu is when the SEKAI forms, so it could go either way. or both.
Len is very enthusiatic and loves learning new things. Out of everyone, Len is closest to Rui (while also being a foil to his personality, with Len being more energetic and open than Rui is). This makes sense actually, when you consider that although he acts annoyed at times, Tsukasa does gradually get more enthusiastic about Rui's stage directing and stunts. Another thing that occurred to me is that Len first spawns in not too long after the main story, and first meets WxS in Wonder Halloween, both of which involve Tsukasa and Rui getting into a fight followed by a look into Rui's past of being outcast by everyone for being "weird". So maybe Len was partially created because of Rui wanting people to not distance themselves from him and actually take an interest in his work. Maybe this is something Tsukasa picked up on as well, it is his SEKAI after all. I don't know whether this was intentional, but I think it could be. Most things in this game are lol.
Rin is very playful and childlike in a similar vein to Miku. She’s also closest to Nene out of all of WxS, and acts as a foil to her in the same way Len is one to Rui. Rin is extroverted and childish in comparision to Nene who’s shy and acts as the straight man within her group. Rin initially doesn’t understand Nene’s shyness, probably because of how different her own personality is. Considering that Rin first spawned in just after the main story, her relationship with Nene might reflect the differences between Tsukasa and Nene (and the fact that Nene’s social anxiety was something that Tsukasa snapped at her about in the main story). Also Rin and Len are considered as best friends in this SEKAI, which makes sense considering that they're foils to childhood best friends.
MEIKO is the most creative of the Vsingers and comes up with very imaginative and wacky ideas, much like Emu and Rui do. However her creativity probably stems from Tsukasa, who writes a lot of WxS’ plays, and then she gets the wild imagination on top of that from the other two. MEIKO is also known for her strength, which comes from Rui, and her good hearing (first shown in POP IN MY HEART!!), which comes from Emu.
And now you have to hear something similar with Mafuyu.
The 25-ji, Nightcord de. Virtual Singers are a bit more complicated than the WxS ones. While all of them draw from Mafuyu to some degree, some of them were created more by something that she needs than something that she is. There’s also far more obvious influences from the other N25 members.
Miku and KAITO are more obviously created by something Mafuyu needed, even though they both have traits of Mafuyu as well. Rin and MEIKO are more influenced by the other members, and Luka is a bit of both. Len is influenced by Mafuyu’s emotions alone. Now in more detail:
It’s very apparent that Miku exists to be a comforting figure to Mafuyu. The SEKAI manifested at a point when Mafuyu was extremely depressed and suicidal, and just needed someone to listen to her and understand. That said, Miku starts out quite similar to Mafuyu, rarely experiencing any strong emotion if any emotion at all. Both of them gradually start to feel more as the story goes on, and both are seen smiling more often than they used to nowadays.
Rin is very strongly influenced by Ena. She’s outwardly irritable and moody, but actually does care and enjoys the company of those around her, even if she doesn’t show it a lot. A tsundere, if you will. Despite her usual attitude, she does actually want to help the N25 girls, which she also shares with Ena. Rin’s connection to Mafuyu is less obvious, but I think it might be through her pretty blunt way of speaking and the fact she quite often just says whatever she thinks.
MEIKO is heavily influenced by Mizuki. She represents the distance that Mizuki puts between themself and the other N25 members, keeping herself away from the other Vsingers and from the N25 girls. She first appears in Secret Distance just to make it extra obvious. However I think she’s also influenced by Mafuyu’s very passive approach to her situation. MEIKO often just watches from a distance and sees how things go, which is close to what Mafuyu did at the time. Mafuyu doesn’t do a huge amount to help herself early on in the story, she does try to feel more, but relies a lot on Kanade. It isn’t until KAITO appears that she’s given more of a forceful push to actually face how things are, stop distancing herself from her problems, and take action.
Luka is derived from the people around Mafuyu who are trying to help her, particularly Kanade and Ena. In Luka's Doing Things My Own Way card story, Mafuyu says that Luka reminds her of Ena, specifically her perceptiveness and tendency to point out things about Mafuyu that she herself isn't aware of. She quickly takes this back though, and then says that Luka is more similar to Kanade because of her ability to understand what Mafuyu is feeling when Mafuyu isn't sure of it herself. In terms of personality, she is closest to Mizuki, being more on the playful and teasing side, mainly towards MEIKO. Luka is like a lighter version of what KAITO ended up being. She's not afraid to be honest and realistic, and is a bit firmer than the other vsingers are. She's not afraid to give them a push when she thinks they need it, as seen in her debut in Carnation Recollection.
Len spawns during Guiding a Lost Child to What Lies Beyond, where Mafuyu's mother starts to find out about Mafuyu doing music and taking action. He's sort of similar to the Wonderland SEKAI Virtual Singers, in the way he represents Mafuyu's emotions in a very childlike way. He's scared because Mafuyu is scared of her mother, he's sad because Mafuyu doesn't want music to be taken away from her, he feels lost and alone because Mafuyu feels that way too, he's close to Miku because Mafuyu is and needs her comfort. Some of this is stuff that Mafuyu doesn't even realise, which brings back the idea from Wonderland SEKAI that the SEKAI can create things on the basis of your subconscious.
KAITO definitely embodies that idea. He's Mafuyu's anger, yet she's never angry. He's from all her repressed anger. He appears when Mafuyu's mother makes her life well and truly miserable, attempting to cut her off from N25. Mafuyu hates this, but she doesn't want to admit that her mother is the problem, she doesn't realise just how angry it's making her, how angry her mother is making her. She's holding all of it back, but it manages to leak out in the form of KAITO. As soon as he arrives in the SEKAI, he wants to talk to Mafuyu, find out what's going on and what caused the Empty SEKAI to be, well, empty. As soon as he finds out this is Mrs Asahina's fault, he tells it to Mafuyu's face. Mafuyu was never going to accept it on her own, she needed a push, and a strong one. KAITO does what needs to be done, and he's similar to Luka in that way, he's just way more aggressive and unapologetic. He's almost... bitter, for lack of a better word. Like I said earlier, he's here to help Mafuyu, as well as represent her.

“The Search” Rewrites, Book 4: Air, Leaks, and A Call for Help from the Fandom
I’ve talked a little about the Book 4: Air restoration project @book4air. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out! Three full episodes are already out and episode 4 is going to cover Zuko’s early days right after his banishment, exploring his relationship with Iroh and the world as Zuko understands it as a lost boy rapidly coming into manhood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wait until you hear the VA’s performance with music and everything! It’ll break your heart.
But I want to talk a little bit about what comes after these next few episodes: our adaptation of “The Search”.
If you’ve seen our adaptation of “The Promise”, you’ll know it was quite faithful. This won’t be the case for “The Search”. For the purposes of the overarching story we are telling, this story is getting overhauled. (Please still support the original release if you’d like to see the canon version).
The biggest change that’s been announced is the addition of Toph. The team felt that a story about family, identity, and faces could benefit from including Toph’s perspective as she comes from a unique but toxic family situation, has a strong conflict between the performance expected of her versus who she really is, and is completely blind and so faces don’t even register for her.
Here is the sample scene we released:
youtube
But I want to talk a little bit about what we are changing about Zuko and Azula’s roles in the story. While the set up is virtually unchanged, there is one small alteration that makes a big difference.
Tumblr media
(Sorry for the poor quality, this is technically unreleased content and I’m being kinda risky leaking it.)
Ursa’s letters are now a diary. This means that rather than get random flashbacks, the narrative framing now becomes Zuko and Azula reading these entries together. As a result, they get to discuss their discoveries about their family, and even share each other’s perspectives.
What that means is that when things like Zuko dangling Azula over the cliff happen, now we actually are forced to address it. The characters have to talk about how they treat each other and the reasons why. They have to confront the toxic family dynamic they’ve been forced and groomed into since childhood. Zuko has to realize his mentally ill little sister isn’t the monster here and in fact he’s the one with all the power now, and Azula has to realize that Zuko can be trusted if she can let go of her fear long enough to talk to him about her vulnerabilities.
We also address issues like this:
Tumblr media
Many people criticize this for being OOC, but I think there’s a way this could easily not be. Sokka has been known to be juvenile and reactionary as a first response, the difference is that he always eventually apologizes and learns from his mistakes. Without even needing to be asked.
Threatening a mentally ill person who has just been removed from an asylum—even as a joke—is not okay. It would be questionable even if they’d been friends before this, but considering their prior relationship it really does seem like an boneheaded lack of awareness or compassion for how triggering this could be.
So rather than remove this interaction, we addressed it. And I am really taking a risk posting this here, but here is a brand new script page:
Tumblr media
Sokka isn’t just comic relief. Sokka is smart, Sokka is compassionate, Sokka is brave, and Sokka knows when it’s time to apologize and reach out versus when it’s time to fight.
Safe to say, there are several things that stay the same and we tried to keep faithful to the spirit of the story, but there’s a lot we wanted to do for the Gaang and for the Fire Sibs, and I hope you’ll join us on this adventure, whether you’re a diehard fan of the comics and just looking for a fun AU, or you hate the comics and would like a rewrite, or even if you’ve never read them and would just love to return to the world of ATLA.
The only trouble is, we can’t do it alone. The project is very expensive and time consuming to produce. Our team pays for everything out of pocket and some of us don’t even have reliable housing, so it’s been a hard time.
If you can help in any way, even only by spreading the word so YouTube will stop burying us in the algorithm, that would be huge!
If you can afford to help, we have a Patreon where you can get all sorts of early goodies.
Reblogs and comments greatly appreciated! As the head writer and voice of Azula, this project is very near and dear to me. Avatar was my first pro-writing gig when I was just a homeless 19 year old, and it’s here for me again as I struggle to rebuild my life and health that COVID destroyed.
I love this series and the community that has helped me through the hardest times in my life. I can’t wait to make something beautiful with you all!

Tumblr media
It's one thing to think the other is cute. It's another thing to actually get to *know* them.
At first they bond over shared hobbies. Normal kiddie stuff like molecular physics, nothing too crazy
That is, until Miles asks a question that's juuust crossing the line between "okay" and "too personal"
That's when he realizes that Margo likes to keep people at an arm's length.
Which he only partially gets, because they've all got a secret identity to hide, and mental health issues to hide from their parents until they hit 18
But shouldn't it be different with him?
Okay now that all the people who were looking for fluff have left
Margo doesn't like to discuss feelings. They're messy and u can't program them to do what u want 💔 she likes to hide behind mild sarcasm and large sanrio plushies
If Miles hadn't asked her out first then she would've been content with an eternity of soft glances and awkward flirting
Miles is marginally better at feelings. In fact, there is no point at which she's unaware of how he feels about something
It's comforting. And terrifying
All of this is to say that their whole early relationship dynamic is trying to open up to each other while trying to keep the space-time continuum from falling apart like a Nature Valley bar
You know what's even more difficult than that? Inviting your bf that you've been interacting with via virtual avatar for like a year to your dimension
But it's fine. Miles makes a lot of bad jokes about the transition to color television in the 50s, tells her she's pretty, and it's fine.
He asks Margo about her favorite movies and shows so that he can psychoanalyze her and fine-tune his recommendations
She offers to fix all of his "vintage" electronics because they're a "historical marvel" or something
They're both annoying as hell together. God forbid you say something and they both take turns infodumping to you about The Thing like a neurodivergent tag team
Autism vs ADHD
Unstoppable force vs Immovable object. Miles is incredibly stubborn and needs things to happen in a Very Specific Way and Margo does shit in a completely different order every time and somehow they make it work
Those are all my brainrot thoughts for now feel free 2 add on if u want [disappears in a cloud of smoke]

As a big superhero guy, I have a question: Why do you think it's so common to show Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Hank Pym, Hank McCoy (ESPESCIALLY those last two) as, at best, morally ambiguous and at worst, downright awful in modern portrayals? Is it standard American anti-intellectualism, tied into our growing distrust of science and technology, or is it just that they seem kinda bland?
I don't think it's anti-intellectualism per se. For three of the four I think it's just a consequence of contemporary writers being Allowed To Notice And Unpack Things.
For Reed Richards, it's the result of fans and writers applying a level of scrutiny to early plots and character beats that weren't intended to stand up to any real level of scrutiny. He's a guy who got all his best friends horribly mutated by taking them up in an untested spacecraft. He's a guy who brainwashed a bunch of captured skrulls into thinking they were cows. He's a guy who keeps whipping up extremely specific technological solutions to the problem at hand, which never seem to trickle down to the consumer market- hence the "Reed Richards is Useless" trope. And he's gotta dodge and weave around patriarchal accusations vis a vis a lot of the casual sexism of early FF, where Sue had limited combat utility and was often in the mix as the Damsel-in-distress classic. And obviously excising the unconsidered sexism from the dynamic is the right way to go, but treating that early recklessness/ruthlessness/callousness seriously, as an actual personality flaw that he has, and has to work around, is significantly more interesting than just rewriting the character to not behave like that.
For Iron Man it's the result of people starting to take more seriously the moral implications of the fact that he's an arms dealer and a billionaire. (Apocryphally, Stan Lee did this to see if he could create a character who would be popular with his left-leaning audience despite being everything they hate ideologically, but I take this with a grain of salt.) Another element, I think, is that in preparation for the release of Iron Man, Marvel made him a headliner in Civil War in 2007; the nature of Civil War lent itself to him doing a lot of authoritarian bullshit, and said bullshit sort of set the bar for his capacity for extreme behavior when pressed. Put Iron Man in any situation, try to determine the extent he'll go to in order to resolve it, and you have to take into account that time he was sticking his colleagues in virtual-reality prisons on behalf of the government. A demonstrated willingness to do atrocities for what you think of as the greater good does add some flavor and tension, I have to give them that!
For Hank Pym, it's totally down to the midlife crisis arc from 1981, where he rebranded as Yellowjacket, got drummed out of the Avengers for using excessive force, and battered his wife Janet when she tried to. You know. Talk him out of building a robot to perform a false flag attack against the rest of the team to get back in their good graces. The whole arc was supposed to be a very deliberate tragedy about his mental breakdown but it kind of poisoned the well on the character and became the thing future writers endlessly relitigate, either doubling down on it (The Ultimates, Marvel Zombies) or trying to repudiate it (Mighty Avengers, Avengers Academy.) Even before that, though, he had a pointed loose-cannon mad scientist situation going on even in comparison to the others on this list- his debut was a Twighlight zone-style horror story where he nearly gets himself killed testing the shrinking formula, and he also created Ultron and nearly got everyone killed that way!
I have no idea what's going on with Hank McCoy. I don't think I want to know what's going on with Hank McCoy. Every time I turn my ear in the direction of that corner of the fandom these days, all I hear is screaming. Are you guys alright

Have you ever thought of making an Explorer oc or explorersona?
Ok so this is not really my oc or sona, he exists in the show (but I'm sure he's actually different than what i designed so i think this counts as oc..?) recently i made a fan design for gibeon!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes you can tell based on his hair i headcanon he's amethio's father lol.*
I think as a leader, Gibeon is, well he always seem cold and calculating, and he and Amethio are related to Lucius' friends** so he wants his son to continue whatever his/Explorers goal is (assert his right as descendants of Lucius' friends? Money? Power?) meanwhile as a father maybe he cares for Amethio but he's too caught up in his own ambitions that he forgets/doesn't realise his expectations for Amethio is putting pressure on him.
I headcanon he distances himself from Amethio in an effort to not coddle him, because he wants Amethio to grow on his own + not want to show favoritism among the Explorers members***, but he makes sure Hamber reports to him about the boy (we see Amethio communicates with him a lot). Even though Gibeon is not harsh with Amethio - removing him from the mission but did not scold or berate him like i expect a villain team leader would do - Amethio still feels the need to measure up to him. Which is made worse because he's in his emo teenage years (just look at him in the new op)
Tumblr media
He doesn't have a good role model, he doesn't have people to confide to (well actually he has Zir and Conia but he doesn't talk to them about his feelings) and the rest of the Explorers are not really friendly with him either so he's kinda stuck, he feels he had no choice but to do things on his own.
I like to think that their family ties will be tested one day, with Amethio questioning if he's really worth to be a successor for Gibeon. Since episode 1 fans have noticed the different dynamics between amethio-explorers and liko-rvt, the former is cold and formal(?) meanwhile the latter is more organic and found-family like, therefore many people speculated amethio will join rvt and find that they treat him better (im in this camp and i want him to sing the pokerap)
*This is mainly based on my interpretation of Amethio's behaviour, how he really wants to get the pendant no matter what, it could be caused by him wanting to gain approval from his father. And during the first Explorers meeting, Amethio was physically present, suggesting he was near their headquarters compared to the others who joined virtually - suggesting closer ties? He's also not afraid of breaking rules by continuing to pursue the pendant even when gibeon officially removes him from the mission and he's not punished for it, compared to how Hamber (the butler) is more strict with Sango and Onyx.
***Also Amethio has his own personal grunts and a submarine meanwhile other members don't really have those (spinel only has a van lol).
**Hamber pretty much confirmed that Explorers have ties with Lucius (they were his friend), and Terapagos had a strong reaction to Amethio specifically??
This turned out really long im so sorry anon I'm obsessed about Explorers especially Amethio but thanks for asking!! 💖💖 I'm pretty sure a lot of these will turn out wrong but it's fun to speculate lolol

What was Izuna's character?
Izuna is most likely one of the most mysterious character in the Narutoverse. He's truly a ghost. Barely seen but so important to Madara's storyline and his eyes the most powerful sight of the entire series. Regardless, all we know about his personality in the canon can be resumed in few sentences : He admired his brother as a child, he was also a fierce warrior from early age, he warned his brother against the Senju, and before his death willingly offered his eyes to Madara in order to protect the Uchihas. It's quite thin for a character development...
In the fandom, fanart, and the many fanfictions included, the general consensus is to represent Izuna as a soft and gentle character always devoted to his brother. Sometimes he's the victim of a hungry-power Madara (but that's really old stories back when no one knew that Obito was cosplaying Madara), often sassy and effeminate. A bit like Haku who was entirely in service of Zabuza. I suppose this idea comes from the adjectives that describes Izuna in the databook :
Tumblr media
Considering the lack of information in canon, that headcanon starts to become the more popular. My ambitious is to try to discover what was Kishimoto's intentions for Izuna if he had more time to articulate that character. It's just an hypothesis that I present you, it's in no way a definite answer.
I) Intuition
That's nothing I can prove but it always seems to me strange that Izuna was the quiet one in this sibling's dynamic. If you put yourself in his shoes opened-toes sandals, he is Madara Uchiha's little brother. From birth, his brother was seen with special attention. Madara was the oldest, the heir and on top of that the genius one. Butsuma said that as a child he was able to kill adults. Being the second is virtually being invisible in front of other adults, it would have naturally created jealousy and a need to exist outside of the big brother's shadow. We've seen this same dynamic before between Sasuke and Itachi. The little one feels always left out. The difference there, is that Itachi was mostly absent in Sasuke's life, he was always busy with school and missions. And after the Uchiha's downfall, when Sasuke was just 7 years old, the distance between them wider dreadfully. For the majority of Sasuke's life, Itachi was a distant childhood memory. In contrary, Izuna seems to have stayed close to his brother until his death at 24 years old. They enjoy a childhood together and were so close than even adults they were able to take over the Uchiha clan. Because they spend more than 20 years together, sharing happiness and losses, there is for me an implicit idea that Izuna was balancing Madara and vice versa. In the same way, Hashirama's visionnary ideas are counter-balanced by a down-to-earth Tobirama. The Senju carves his unique personality by constantly creating new jutsus that surprised his opponents while Hashirama was known for being that rare and powerful Mokuton user. Madara being this taciturn person in public, Izuna must have been a bit more outgoing. So if Madara was in private described as kind by Hashirama, maybe Izuna was more rational when dealing with people.
II) Canon + extra materials
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
in extra materials I mean : databook, official card, official illustrations, video games ect...
Even if I'm team canon-only, sometimes other fillers or goodies can give us a hint of what would have been Izuna. And two things catch my attention :
first, he's always represented as someone very confident, holding a sword ready to slay someone, focused. Actually...he NEVER SMILES. He smirks once in a filler when he thought he was about to overpower Tobirama. It shows more his merciless attitude towards his enemy than any trace of softness. We are very far from the flower boy from fanarts.
secondly his voice...Have you heard his adult voice? It's surprisingly deep comparing to his slender appearance. Again it doesn't sound like a fragile baby doll but more like a commander in chief.
III) Izuna vs Obito
It took me a long time to realise how much Izuna is in the canon constantly in parallel with Obito. It goes back to my old post on "why Madara chose Obito". Months later, I think the answer is more obvious that what I thought back then.
Izuna simply might have had a very similar personality than Obito. Or should I say, Madara saw in Obito, not only his potential strength but also a clear resemblance in character to his dear brother. At the Kannabi's bridge, He observed and found Obito dying after he saved Kakashi, Rin and gave his right eye to Kakashi. There is a strong parallel to Izuna's life who also gave his eyes willingly to Madara when he was dying. In both case, there is a deep devotion for the well being of their friends/clansmen.
Tumblr media
Even if Madara consciously chose to cut bonds with the world, unconsciously he still yearned for companionship. It's obvious by the fact he couldn't stop talking about his friend Hashirama, and in the similar way he looked for his "right hand" in Obito. Yes, in a deranged and manipulative way but even during the war, he never doubted Obito's intentions until it was obvious that he betrayed him.
So not only Obito was a replacement for Izuna as a brother in arm, but the databook gives them the same birthday the 10th of february, obviously the same zodiac sign Aquarius and most importantly the same blood type.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IV) Blood type
Tumblr media
Izuna and Obito are said to be the same blood type O. Madara also is type O. As a westerner I've never paid attention to this information (I don't even know my own blood type to be honest!😅) until I've learned recently that Japaneses have got a whole culture associating blood type with certain personality traits. They take this more seriously that astrology to the point there is even campaigns to prevent discrimination towards rare types. Since I don't know much about this theory, let me quote some other sources.
So what is type O?
Tumblr media
source : https://www.tofugu.com/japan/japanese-blood-type/
This source goes deeper into type O in Naruto.
Tumblr media
source : https://aminoapps.com/c/naruto/page/blog/blood-types-personality-theory-in-naruto/lrqm_VpiQuDpPEDjoMXgoMVnn0E3eeXmpw
I don't really know how to interpret the type O because the adjectives seems very larges and vagues to me. but it seems that leadership trait, hard working, outgoing, protective, direct, confident are the trait that comes the most from the various sources I've read. In Naruto, the others type O are : Kakashi, Asuma, Sakura, Temari, Raikage, Neji.
An other interesting aspect, is relationship between each types. Look closely at OxO relationship.
Tumblr media
Let's go back now to compare now Izuna and Obito's databook pages with this new information in mind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notice again how Izuna is systematically showed in action, fighting someone or ready to attack. That's not really a moment where he looks relaxed with an easy-going attitude.
Izuna's favourite hobby was training with his brother Madara. Because of their closeness as brothers they developed an healthy competition. A good OxO relationship.
In the opposite, considering the circumstance of their meeting, Obito never truly trusted Madara and even when he agreed on the Tsukuyomi plan, he decided early on that he'll do it his own way and almost overtook Madara's role as the "saviour". It shows a negative OxO relationship.
In this perceptive, it seems to me that Izuna and Obito share in common of being extremely strong-willed and competitive. They have an inflexible determination that never sways. After being deadly wounded, Izuna still found the strength to warn Madara about the Senjus and again in his deadbed he made Madara promise to watch over the Uchiha clan. His vision (even in the literal way) was strong enough to motivate Madara long after his death. This devoted, balanced personality must be read as a confident desire to protect his people, the Uchiha clan, to the point of self-sacrifice.
Tumblr media
Obito demonstrated two times an incredible will. Once as a child when he defended Kakashi's father and swore to destroy an unfair shinobi system, and a second time when he battled against the juubi. He knew he wasn't physically strong enough neither to hold the rinnegan nor contain juubi inside him but by cheer willpower he forced his destiny.
Tumblr media
To conclude my guess is that Kishimoto intended Izuna as a warlord, a man of action, just like Madara, with a strong sense of duty and sacrifice for his clan. And the Senju represented to him the epitome of threat for the Uchiha's peace. Izuna pictured peace and harmony related to his clan not the whole world like his brother did (and maybe that's why he had to make him promise to protect the Uchihas first!?). He was probably more extravert, agreeable and also more distant emotionally than Madara. His interaction with his big brother must have been a funniest version to what we've seen with Obito. Just imagining those two uchiha big egos together, they were probably insufferable for their opponents 😂. If you read the manga again it's as if Madara is expecting a back-and-forth banter with Obito...just like Izuna would have done with him in the middle of a battles.😢
Tumblr media
That's all I wanted to share on my hypothesis, maybe in future Kishimoto will give us something about Izuna's past and this post will age badly but let me know what you think of this theory?

As someone who had experienced the sting of a failed relationship, I knew firsthand the ache of heartbreak. My lack of experience and my innate tendency to be a 'hopeless romantic' were often cited as the reasons for its demise—a painful reminder of love's complexities.
However, amidst the ruins of a failed romance, I found solace and genuine happiness in the unbreakable bond shared with my best friends: Rafayel, Xavier, and Zayne. Over the years, their infectious personalities and idiosyncratic habits had gradually rubbed off on me, molding me into a more laid-back and tomboyish version of myself.
Despite having the knowledge and ability to dress femininely and meticulously care for my appearance, I found solace and authenticity in dressing down. Jeans and flannels became my signature attire, offering a sense of comfort and familiarity in a world fraught with expectations. One cherished pastime that solidified our bond was our shared love for gaming, particularly the adrenaline-fueled battleground of CS:GO. Whether day or night, we would convene from the comfort of our respective homes, united by the glow of our screens and the thrill of virtual combat.
"Z, what the fuck are you doing?!" Rafayel's voice rang out, a mix of concern and frustration evident as Zayne struggled to perform well.
Amidst the chaos of enemy territory, I urgently signalled to my teammates, "On me, on me, on me," alerting them to the imminent threat nearby.
With Xavier's decisive shot, our team emerged triumphant, and a wave of celebration swept over us, filling the room with jubilant shouts and sounds of triumph.
Amidst the highs and lows of our gaming sessions, we discovered a sanctuary and reprieve from the complexities of the outside world, weaving memories that would linger far beyond the final kill.
At times, I mused over the intricate dynamics of our friendship. The presence of three close male companions brought both excitement and solace, each contributing their own quirks to our group dynamic.
Within our close-knit circle, trivial disputes and negativity held no sway, fostering an environment where genuine companionship thrived unencumbered. Encircled by my unwavering allies, I reveled in the simple joys of camaraderie and the enduring warmth of genuine friendship. ••• The following day, feeling the need for a wardrobe refresh, I enlisted Rafayel's assistance, grateful that he was available. We ventured into the bustling streets, the sunlight casting a warm glow on the storefronts. Stepping into the store, the scent of new fabrics greeted us, and racks of clothes beckoned from every corner.
For nearly two hours, we lost ourselves in the aisles, pulling out garments of all colours and styles. Rafayel, with his discerning eye, wrinkled his nose at most of my selections, insisting I try on the pieces he deemed worthy.
"This one's a definite no," he declared, holding up a bright floral dress that clashed with his taste.
I shot Rafayel a tired look and shook my head as I discarded the dress. "Okay? Fine, your turn to pick something for me then."
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Rafayel disappeared into the racks, emerging moments later with an armful of clothes he deemed suitable.
"Trust me, you'll thank me later," he teased, handing me the pile.
I rolled my eyes playfully, but curiosity got the best of me as I headed to the fitting room, ready to see what he had in store. ••• The fluorescent lights of the dressing room cast a soft glow over the array of clothes strewn about. After spending what felt like hours trying on various outfits, I finally settled on a few pieces that Rafayel had picked out. As I admired myself in the mirror, I realised that his taste wasn't so bad after all. Grabbing my phone, I snapped a few quick shots of the outfits I liked and sent them to our group chat, eager to get Xavier and Zayne's opinions too.
Tumblr media
"Y'know, you actually look good in all of the outfits you picked. Even with jeans and t-shirts. I just like teasing you," Rafayel admitted with a sheepish grin, his eyes twinkling with mischief. I couldn't help but chuckle at his confession, relieved that my fashion sense hadn't completely failed me. With a playful swish of the fabric, I twirled in front of the mirror, admiring how the dress draped elegantly over my frame. He thinks I look good? The thought danced through my mind, a pleasant surprise amidst our playful banter.
"You're not getting off that easy," I teased back, shooting him a mock glare before breaking into a smile. Rafayel's grin softened into a gentle smile at my reaction, his eyes reflecting a genuine warmth as he observed my bashful response. "Seriously though, you've got great taste. You don't need my approval," he added, his tone reassuring. ••• On a crisp afternoon bathed in sunlight, I embarked on a journey to explore the hidden corners of the city by myself, my camera poised to capture the allure of undiscovered beauty. Lost in the enchanting scenery, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder, and as I turned around, I was met with the captivating gaze of a stranger. With his tousled brown hair and piercing hazel eyes, he exuded an irresistible charm that instantly drew me in. "Are you new around here?" he inquired, his voice carrying a hint of curiosity.
Affirming his assumption, I nodded, prompting him to respond with a compliment: "I thought so, I've never seen you before. You're really pretty." His words sent a flutter through my heart, and as he introduced himself as Alex, he graciously offered me his number before bidding farewell.
As I continued my solitary exploration of the city, the encounter with Alex lingered in my thoughts, his charismatic presence leaving an indelible impression. Despite the warmth of the sun overhead, a newfound excitement coursed through me, fuelled by the possibility of new connections in this unfamiliar terrain.  Our exchanges of messages had been ongoing since our serendipitous encounter, each conversation deepening the intrigue I felt toward the enigmatic stranger. ••• A typical Saturday saw my apartment bustling with the familiar energy of camaraderie as the boys gathered for our customary hangout session.
Xavier lounged comfortably on my lap, reading his book, while Rafayel and Zayne engaged in an intense round of Apex Legends. Glancing at my phone, I noticed a message from Alex inviting me out for coffee. Excitement bubbled within me at the prospect of a date, and in my haste, I jumped up, accidentally causing Xavier to topple over the couch. Ouch!" Xavier exclaimed, his sudden fall disrupting the otherwise tranquil atmosphere. With a startled yelp, he flailed his arms, desperately trying to regain his balance, but only managing to knock over a pile of magazines in the process. Pages fluttered through the air like confetti, adding a whimsical touch to the chaotic scene.
Rifling through my wardrobe, I deliberated over what to wear for the occasion. After much contemplation, I settled on a denim skirt paired with a white frilled sleeveless top. Taking extra care with my makeup and hair, I aimed to impress Alex, despite feeling a tad uneasy in the unfamiliar attire.
Just as I was about to step out, Rafayel's knock interrupted my preparations. Opening the door, I welcomed his scrutiny with a hint of apprehension. "Do I look okay? Be honest," I asked, hoping for reassurance. His puzzled expression quickly shifted to scrutiny as he eyed my outfit. "Where are you off to? We just got here? And what is that?" he questioned, pointing at my attire.
With a slight pout, I defended my choice of outfit, the fabric of my mini denim skirt swaying gently with my movements. Xavier, still half-asleep, his hair tousled and a little messy, chimed in with a mumbled observation about my seldom-seen skirt. "I've never seen you in that skirt before. Is it new?" he mumbled, his words laced with curiosity.
“Yeah, no shit. She never wears these kinds of outfits when she’s with us,” Rafayel replied, his tone tinged with skepticism.
The banter continued as Zayne joined in, his eyes scanning my attire with curiosity. “With whom are you going out?” he asked, his interest piqued. When I revealed my plans to go out with a guy I met at a cafe, Xavier's concern was palpable, prompting Rafayel to demand a wardrobe change.
“Okay, yep, nope. Sit your ass back down and change back into your regular clothes,” Rafayel demanded, his protective instincts kicking in.
“Bruh, let her go, she can dress however she wants. Besides, she looks… good,” Xavier interjected, coming to my defense.
“Oh, I’m sooooo sorry for wanting to look out for her?!” Rafayel retorted sarcastically, tension rising between them.
Now they’re both bickering, their voices escalating as Rafayel inches closer, attempting to deter me from going out. “Both of you—please shut up,” Zayne sighed, his finger massaging his temple.
“Fine. Whatever. Have fun! Be home by 8, sweetie! No later!” Rafayel's sarcastic tone echoed behind me as I headed out the door.
Unfazed, I playfully stuck out my tongue in defiance, determined to follow through with my plans. Excitement and nerves intertwined as I stepped out into the evening, eager to see where this unexpected encounter with Alex would lead. ••• As I approached the bustling coffee shop, my senses were bombarded with the sights and sounds of the crowded scene. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee lingered in the air, blending with the melodic hum of conversation and the rhythmic clinking of cups. Amidst the throng of people, I spotted a familiar figure with his back turned – it was Alex, engrossed in a phone call. Maintaining a discreet distance to avoid detection, I couldn't help but overhear snippets of his conversation amidst the bustling ambiance. With each word, a sinking feeling gnawed at my heart, and a sense of betrayal washed over me like a tidal wave. "Yeah, bro, I'm gonna make her sleep with me tonight," his voice carried over the din. "Yeah, she's probably easy. She's on her way here now. I'll play the lost wallet card and let her pick up the tab. Classic move, right? Haha. Catch you later."
As the weight of his words settled upon me, a mix of emotions swirled within – betrayal, anger, and disbelief intertwining like a tumultuous storm. The reality of his intentions struck me like a heavy blow, leaving me reeling in shock and dismay.
With a heavy heart, I quietly turned away from the scene, my mind racing with a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. The encounter had shattered any illusions I had about Alex, revealing his true colours in stark contrast to the charming facade I once admired. As I walked away, a bitter taste lingered in my mouth, tainting the once-promising prospect of our interaction with deception and manipulation. Hah. What a douchebag.
Anger simmered beneath the surface, but there was also a strange sense of relief—relief that I had uncovered Alex's true intentions before things went any further. With growing disillusionment, I found myself losing faith in men, specifically men like Alex. Why hadn't I listened to Rafayel's warnings? It was a question that echoed in my mind, taunting me with its hindsight wisdom.
Returning home, I was met with the unexpected sight of all three of them lounging on the couch, their faces a mix of surprise and curiosity as I entered. Rafayel, ever the joker, couldn't resist making a quip. “Oh, back so soon? Didn't know it was a speed dating," he joked, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. But Xavier's quick intervention halted his words in their tracks, recognising the storm in my eyes. Zayne, usually the silent observer, watched Rafayel with a sharp gaze, sensing the tension in the air.
"Don't talk to me," I managed to utter, my voice thick with emotion as I pushed past them and retreated to the sanctuary of my room.
Collapsing onto my bed, the weight of disappointment and hurt bore down on me, and the floodgates opened, releasing the tears I had been holding back. Rafayel, Xavier, and Zayne knocked on my door, their concern palpable through the wood. "Give me a minute," I managed to choke out, needing to gather myself before facing them. After what felt like an eternity, I emerged from my room to find them waiting outside, a protective barrier of support.
"Hey, uh, wanna grab some ramen nearby?" Rafayel suggested, his voice gentle yet reassuring, cutting through the heavy silence like a beacon of warmth. His eyes, usually filled with mischief, now held a softness that mirrored the concern etched on his face. Xavier nodded in agreement, his expression mirroring Rafayel's empathy. "Yeah, a warm bowl of ramen might be just what you need right now," he chimed in, his voice a comforting undertone amidst the turmoil of emotions swirling around us.
Zayne, typically the quietest of us all, offered a supportive nod, his eyes conveying a silent solidarity. "It's always comforting to have your company," he remarked, his gaze softening as he directed a reassuring smile my way. ••• As we sat slurping noodles at the ramen stall, the aroma of savoury broth filled the air, enveloping us in a comforting embrace amidst the bustling street. With each tale of my encounter with Alex, the steam from our bowls seemed to echo the rising tension within our group. "Do you want me to beat up that jerkface?" Rafayel offered, his tone a mix of jest and genuine concern, his eyes flickering mischievously. I chuckled softly at his offer. "Yeah, I can join in," Xavier added, leaning in with a playful glint in his eyes. He noticed a stray noodle nestled in the corner of my lips and instinctively brushed it away with his thumb, his smile warming my heart. But before I could react, Rafayel interjected with a mischievous grin. "Move over, (your name), it's my turn," he teased, his mischievous side shining through as he mimicked Xavier's gesture. Delicately placing a small noodle on the corner of his own mouth, he grinned mischievously.
With a chuckle and a playful eye roll from me, I opted to flick his nose instead, contributing to the lighthearted atmosphere of our gathering.
Turning my attention to Zayne, I noticed a quiet contemplation in his expression, a subtle tension beneath his calm exterior. His gaze shifted between me and his bowl of ramen, a silent dialogue unfolding within him.
“You okay, Z?" I inquired softly, sensing his internal struggle.
He hesitated for a moment before finally breaking the silence. Placing his bowl down, he gave me a gentle head pat.
“...You know, you’re perfectly fine just the way you are. Don't feel pressured to change your appearance for other people but yourself,” his words, though simple, resonated deeply within me, serving as a gentle reminder of the unwavering support and acceptance within our circle. With a smile, I expressed my gratitude, thanking him for his encouraging words.
“Okay, bro, you can stop patting her,” Rafayel interjected, breaking the moment.
Zayne cleared his throat, and resumed eating, seemingly to alleviate the awkward tension in the room. As his words settled in my heart, I felt a wave of gratitude wash over me, reaffirming my sense of self-worth and empowerment. ••• After our late dinner, we strolled back to my apartment, the city lights casting a gentle glow on the sidewalks. Along the way, Rafayel couldn't resist his usual teasing, his playful jabs punctuated by bursts of laughter. In a moment of clumsiness, I accidentally elbowed him too hard, causing him to yelp in pain. Xavier chuckled at Rafayel's misfortune, offering a playful "Serves you right," as he fist-bumped me in solidarity.
Meanwhile, Zayne, ever the silent observer, couldn't suppress his amusement, quietly chuckling at the banter unfolding before him.
As their laughter filled the air, I found myself falling behind, enveloped in a profound sense of gratitude. Despite the playful banter, I couldn't shake the depth of connection we shared.
A sudden realisation began to dawn on me. My heartbeat quickened, a whirlwind of emotions stirring inside, my gaze shifting between the three of them. Panic seized me as I grappled with the truth, the weight of my feelings crashing over me like a tidal wave.
"No. No. No. This can't be happening. Why is my heart racing like this?" I murmured to myself, halting in my tracks. The revelation unleashed a maelstrom of conflicting feelings, engulfing me in a tempest of uncertainty.

Anita jean!
ANITAT JEAN!!!
Alright so the Little Wren AU is basically just 'Bruce manages to find Anita after she fakes her death' and she actually does become his first sidekick. She isn't a fighter, Bruce puts her under three layers of armor, and she basically fills a mage and healer role with first aid (mostly for civilians and criminals) and the virtual reality gas drug, the use of which allows batman to remain a cryptid for far longer.
Anita also takes longer to get the hang of grappling hooks because she's less coordinated than even Tim but she does get them probably not too long after Dick comes to the manner since the two can train together. Her inability to use grappling hooks when she first enters the field is why The Whirly-Bat was made, named The Hummingbird in this au because it's Anita's and was named before Dick was adopted into the family and took a bat-gimmick to every piece of equipment in the cave. Before he joined the team, Bruce and Anita were work shopping names for a lot of their stuff but hadn't come to decisions for most of them, so Dick still gets to do that, but not for Anita's Hummingbird.
Rather than the dynamic duo, this au has either a tritastic trio of Batman, Wren, and Robin, or the dynamic duo is seen as Wren and Robin, as Batman's sidekicks. When Tim ends up at the manner, Anita basically tells him he's too tactical to be Robin and gives him the Wren mantle, which she either had already left behind or was in the process of considering it. Steph ends ends up becoming his paired Robin, for much longer than Canon.
Steph initiating that plan that required Matches Malone probably still happens, but with Anita's help she's able to salvage it, but it opens up an entirely new set of problems because at that point Anita was already on the verge of discovering The Court of Owls (because their one give away was a nursery rhyme and she wanted to find out it's origin because it's her hobby) and now The Court sees the bat clan take control of the city basically in it's entirety so those two things combined make The Court release the elite talons. A temporary alliance with The League of Assassins and the timely first arrival of Cass in the city means they just barely manage to win. This is also the family's first introduction to Damian and a recently resurrected Jason is probably also there, but dressed like the rest of the assassins so he isn't recognized.
Anita herself, which is what this au is actually about, is going to be depicted as better adjusted due to not living her life since she was, like, eight alone and eventually dedicated to revenge. She has hyperfixations on birds, nursery rhymes, programming, and tech and is an excellent detective. I already mentioned she's less coordinated starting out but that doesn't mean she's weak, she'd probably be able to beat Dick in a fight when he first gets to the manor since he's at that point just a gymnast but she's been training as a martial artist for like six months at that point.
Speaking of Dick, I really look forward to writing their banter. They are going to be so sassy to each other but very protective of each other. Almost as much as they're both protective of every one younger siblings, which, and seeing some of your posts this may be disappointing, isn't going to be terribly long. Finding a way to fit every obscure batfam character in is for my other dc au, the same one that my ruleset for Claire's powers is for, but I do have Calvin, Charlie, and and Dana (Talon, Misfit, and Strike) as sure-shows for Little Wren.
Long-Term, the au's story-arc will focus on the eventual take down of The Parliament of Owls as the main antagonists, as it feels fitting for an Anita Jean focused story for previously stated Nursery Rhyme related reasons, although I do also plan for The League to be taken down due to Tim still having his globetrotting adventure and then the batfam actually capitalizing on it.
Edit for Addendum: the first paragraph makes it sound like Anita never fights, I should clarify that her role on the team does evolve as she gets older and Bruce becomes more lenient.

August Development Update
Tumblr media
Overview
August started out similarly to the last couple months, with progress being on the slow side and contributions being made in base asset development. However, progress began ramping up towards the end of the month, and we’re now at a place where we’re making some decent progress towards a test build. We’re only just beginning, of course; and it’ll still take a lot of time before anything is ready for the playtesters. But still, progress is progress.
This month is an important milestone in that we finally started to implement the assets we have into the RPGMV engine. At this point in time, we now have the beginnings of a playable city in the works, and we hope to refine it into a state where we can give you some sneak peeks sometime soon. All I can say for now is that I’m personally very excited with how the city looks, even now at this primitive stage: I can’t wait for you all to see it.
Progress
As mentioned previously, the most noteworthy progress made in August was that our base assets are being implemented into RPGmaker. However, this in no way means that other areas of development weren’t touched upon: in fact, quite the opposite. Everything we’ve worked on during the past month includes, but is not limited to:
With a few exceptions, maps for the city that will be shown in chapter 3 has been implemented into RPGmaker
Basic map events have been put in place that allow map movement, door accessibility, functioning stairs and elevators, etc
A number of cutscenes, as well as NPCs, have been mostly implemented into the game and fleshed out
A number of additional pixel artwork for NPCs and map objects were completed and added into spritesheets
Organization for various songs and the music department in general has seen significant progress
Progress was made on the writing for cutscenes and various flavor text/NPC dialogue
The game files in general were reorganized, as well as optimized
What’s In Plan For The City
Going into development for chapter 3, a very important and rather difficult challenge was posed to us in the form of the chapter’s playable area, the real world city. Of the two areas we worked on so far, Fallen World was based off of a preexisting area in the base game, and therefore much easier to develop; and the Neural Network, while original, was still a part of dreamworld, allowing us to conceptualize much of it based on our major interpretations of headspace.
The city is different in that this is a place entirely separate from Sunny’s imagination or even Faraway Town. This means that we have virtually nothing from the base game to draw inspiration from, and have to build it from the ground up almost completely by ourselves. This is partially the reason why chapter 3 is taking so long to complete: from a development perspective, we’re having to blaze our own trails. For a team of voluntary, part-time, amateurs, this has proven to be somewhat of a hurdle.
Our main goal with the city was to make an area that felt ‘dynamic’: basically, for it to feel like a real city. Faraway Town in base OMORI is a tiny suburban community: to that end, the buildings are sparse and short, with identical houses lining the streets. Combined with a general lack of large-scale activity and mostly static NPCs, it gives off an atmosphere of relative sleepiness, an aura of quiet. We wanted our city to provide a sharp contrast to Faraway in this aspect: we wanted it to be rambunctious, packed, and bustling.
Creating a ‘Dynamic’ City
So what makes a city ‘dynamic’? During the course of the last few months, we’ve been able to come up with a map of the city that’s filled with tall buildings tightly nestled together, in the backdrop of a tightly urbanized network of uniformly gray streets and sidewalks. All this combines to create an impression of crowdedness: however, it still falls short of being ‘dynamic’. That’s because the map itself is one half of a whole, the other half being the map’s inhabitants, NPCs.
Even with the most packed and busy city of all time, it doesn’t exhibit any life until actual people are living in it. And this is our real challenge surrounding the creation of this city: to populate the map we have with NPCs that can successfully convey the impression of bustling, busy and lively city people. There’s a few methods we can use to achieve this, such as:
Power in numbers: simply have many, many NPCs in the city
Passage of time: as the time of day changes, have NPCs move from place to place, with different NPCs being present at different times and etc
Literal movement: have NPCs literally move around, such as walking through the streets, wander through a shop, etc
While all three methods are important, and they’ll all be used for the creation of chapter 3, the third and last method of allowing NPCs to literally move around is arguably the most important. This is because NPCs moving around with the player are the most visually distinct: a room where everyone but the player stands around doing nothing is static as soon as the player stops moving, but a room where an NPC goes around doing something always has something going on, looking much more lively.
Take a look at this shot of the cafe, for instance. The player is mostly standing still, but two NPCs (the brunette waitress and the blonde waiter) are constantly in action: cleaning tables, washing dishes, entering and exiting doors, etc. This, combined with the map of the cafe itself and the patron NPCs sitting on the chairs, is what creates a ‘dynamic’ atmosphere.
While we’re just getting started with the NPCs, we want to eventually finish the entire map out that radiates the feeling of being ‘dynamic’, as described above. We’ll be putting up periodic updates on how we’re doing on that front with the dev updates in the future, so please stay tuned.
End of Summer Break?
It’s September now, and everyone’s summer breaks have mostly come to a close. For our team, this year’s summer break period was characterized by a time of generally slow progress. Now that it’s over, things have indeed started to speed up: while early August still had little activity, things gradually picked up as the month progressed. The last week of the month marked the zenith of this growth, with considerable progress being made in all sectors.
Still, it would be rather naive to think that this fast progress will continue on for the rest of the semester. Midterms are still very much a thing, and right now is just a short period between summer break and exam period. Still, we want to use the opportunity we have right now as efficiently as possible.
September looks to be a promising month in terms of progress. We won’t take that for granted, though. We’ll see you next month, with hopefully lots of news. Thanks for reading this far, and thanks as always for your interest in Reverie!

Not romantic chemistry, but overall onscreen chemistry...
I think in Marvel Chris basically had chemistry with everyone.
Actually, I think if he was still in the franchise they might actually be doing better. A while back on twitter fans were reminiscing how the old Marvel OGs vibed and hit way better than the new generation. People were saying Chris had fun with virtually everyone he was paired up with during those Avengers press tours and there was always laughter and hilarity in those interviews he participated in. His personality was just inviting and charismatic and I really think it rubbed off on a lot of people. Not everyone, but the majority. And I think now that he's no longer there, there is a hole.
He and RDJ really had chemistry. Hemsworth. Scarlett. Renner. Elizabeth Olsen. Chadwick.
Danai and him didn't have too many scenes on camera but IRL they vibed very well.
While not everyone appeared to get along with Brie Larsen when she first showed up, her and Chris vibe well.
Him and Don Cheadle have great hilarious snarky banter.
Even him and Frank Grillo - everyone has to hate on the whole Hydra thing but they actually had chemistry. It was weird but interesting. Makes that whole dynamic also intriguing and terrible.
Anthony Mackie and Chris have excellent chemistry. IMHO, Steve and Sam's friendship was one of my favorites - they immediately lit up the screen upon first meeting. I wish they explored that friendship more when they could have.
Outside of Marvel, I think Chris has great chemistry with Octavia Spencer. I also thought he did better with Betty Gabriel in Defending Jacob than Michelle Dockery. Maybe because Betty's character wasn't his wife and he just does better when he's teaming up with someone or portraying a friendship or even a nemesis.
Bryce Dallas Howard and him did pretty well. I think she's a really good actress too and that pairing of their characters actually worked for me.
Overall, I thought Chris and everyone else in Knives Out had great chemistry. Not a single miss IMHO. I also think that was one of the best casts of modern times. I'm a bit confused, annoyed, and irritated as to why they didn't get a Best Ensemble Cast nomination.
I agree with all this. No one has to ever complained about him on set. Everyone seems to get along with him well. He just can’t fake being in love 🤷🏻‍♀️ being a love interest is his weakness.

Tumblr media
@theiaphage ok i'm just going to make this into a post because tumblr replies have a really short character limit and i can go on At Length while im explaining alec vasil. the short answer is that:
Brian, Lisa and Taylor had their own dynamic.  They were friends.  He considered Brian a friend, but it was more along the lines of someone he could play video games with, talk about movies.  It wasn’t much different from if they were coworkers or roommates.  He smiled at the thought.  They kind of were, when it came down to it. Regent knew he was a background character, for the most part.  He played along, he didn’t make waves, he didn’t stand out.  He wasn’t close to any of the others.
(interlude 10) alec knows exactly where he stands with the team--i.e., that he's not close friends with anyone, and his relationship with brian is 'work friend i could talk about movies with.' there's no actual intimacy there, and he knows this, and he wouldn't cross the boundary of inserting himself into brian's personal home life to fuck with his car for A Bit.
the longer answer re what his dynamic with brian and aisha is actually like after she joins the team is this entire post which is good and i love. it's a crucial cornerstone of alec's character that he's deeply lonely. that's why his power is the ability to force people to help him or act like they care about, with the ironic twist that he can't force them to actually care about him, and he's aware how much they hate him the entire time. his entire life, he's been lonely and isolated and abused, he's been taught that no one will ever deeply care about him or want to support him, and he's learned his only options are either to be like his father and take it by force, or to just live as "a background character" and try to convince himself that he's okay with that.
so, it's meaningful for him that he has a light friendship with brian. it's not enough to change how isolated he is, it's not enough to change that he's not part of the more emotionally intimate brian-lisa-taylor dynamic he mentions. but it's a crumb of affection for a boy who's had virtually none for his entire life.
after he meets aisha, what i describe in the linked post happens:
brian doesn't get to be a teenage boy playfighting with another teenage boy anymore--now he has to be Brian Adultguy Laborn, Responsible, Firm-Handed Older Brother. he feels the need to place himself above alec & aisha, become an authority figure capable of keeping her safe. it's why they start eye-rolling and calling him & taylor "team mom and dad."
and the whole dynamic shift is so bittersweet because. alec is best friends with aisha. aisha is the closest he's ever been to anyone in his whole life. they have a deeply meaningful and intimate connection, one that's so powerful for alec that he ultimately decides that he'd rather die for aisha than live in a world without her. for the first time in his entire life, he's found someone who really gets him, and who trusts him to understand them back. but it comes at the cost of brian drifting away from him, not because of anyone's fault, but just because brian is traumatized in a specific way that means he doesn't know how to navigate aisha being on the team without treating alec poorly. over the span of just a few months he goes from playfully bantering with alec to sneeringly telling him to be quiet when the adults (i.e. him and some other people who are, like, 17) are talking. (& there's hints of this tendency of brian's even early in worm, when he like...chides alec for going 'woo triple headshot :)' abt his video game while taylor and brian are talking, but it's not even half as bad as it is after aisha joins.)
and alec does not react to this by clinging to him or by overestimating how close they are, nor by needing "a stern talking to" that educates him. brian tries to give him Stern Talking To's quite a few times in the book, and it's more or less always 1. condescending and unnecessary or 2. not unnecessary, but too condescending to be useful. and alec's reaction is never to go "oh ok i see sorry," even if brian is fully in the right--the way brian delivers it means that alec's ptsd toes are getting stepped allllll over and he reacts by just being dismissive and passive aggressively annoying until brian gives up/decides it's not worth the effort. i.e. exactly how alec has been trained to react to people scolding him as a child in order to minimize the vulnerabilities via which he could be targeted for abuse. guy who doesn't know how to express displeasure with someone without mimicking his shitty father & his tragic friendship breakup with guy who doesn't know how to react to someone expressing displeasure w/ him from a position of authority without responding like he's trying to avoid giving his shitty father a way to hurt him more than he already is. it's sad. :(.

Party slander incoming.... (long, not sorry).
the duffers forgot that one of the crucial charms in making up a teen friends group and team is showing the emotional scenes between them, emphasizing their connection, and the group dynamic as a whole that the characters share in the team. the party, frankly, lacks any of those things, and even if they have some moments here and there they are extremely low and under developed and underwhelmingly portrayed, especially in s4-s3. we are meant to believe mike is the leader of the group, when his interaction with other characters seems to be very low and unpleasant at times. him not really caring much for dustin and not knowing where he is, his unpleasent relations with max and not even interacting with her in her hardest times, him ignoring lucas and not even bothering talking to eddie while missing lucas's game, his wack as relationship with both el and will... these are just weird stuff to include. even if mike is meant to have conflict whether friendship or romance wise, we gotta see him interact with the other party members in an emotional aspect but there is just nothing going on there. will and el are supposed to be siblings who only talked to each other 2 times at best. max virtually has no relationship to will or mike. so we have people headcanoning madhweeler vibes or madwise stuff in the fandom, because their frienship is lacking so much. even dustin and lucas, whom had one of the best dynamics in s1-s2 get largely ignored in favor of dustin being paired up with steve and eddie. lucas's treatment within the party is really bad, and so is will's. will and el not keeping contact with the other party members is bad etc. they have no actual emotional talks, no actual deep dynamics or relationships, if they talk at all it usually revolves around romantic issues instead of friendship moments or interpersonal talks or personal conversations. only max and el have those moments from s3... which also seem very thin.
the writers took inspo from other team dynamics and friends group from other shows/movies/franchises but they missed the mark in portraying them in st when it comes to using the team dynamic and elements for the Party.

Dramione is the het ship between Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter fandom.
Canon
As Draco was raised with violent disgust for Muggle-borns, he treated Hermione with disdain. Hermione's friends and herself shared a strong enmity to Draco from virtually the moment they met, and her beating Draco in school marks, for which his father berated him. From time to time, Draco would call Hermione a mud-blood which usually set off the temper of her friends and once the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Most of the time, Hermione would ignore Draco but occasionally snapped back at him and in their third year, she even punched him.
some parts of the saga, Draco even seems obsessed with Hermione. Even though he considers Muggle-borns to be inferior, he hasn't ever picked on one other than Hermione. In the second book, when the basilisk is released, he wishes for Hermione to be its next victim. In GoF, when the death eaters appear in the Quidditch World Cup, Draco appears near Harry's tent and advises them to get Hermione out of there if they don't want anything to happen to her. He even makes a comment about her knickers. In another scene in the same book, he overhears Ron talking about Hermione's dancing partner and he makes a surprised comment about that "know-it-all" having found a date. When Hermione walks into the ballroom, Draco just stares at her and, quoting from the book, "even he didn’t seem to be able to find an insult to throw at her".
At various points in the books he acknowledges Hermione's intelligence. For example, when he finds out about the DA and the charm Hermione made with the coins, he takes notes and uses it to communicate with the Death Eaters he wants to get into Hogwarts. In the 6th book he stops messing with her (coinciding with the imprisonment of his father, who incidentally in the 2nd book tells Draco off for Hermione getting better grades than him.
In spite of his dislike toward Hermione, Draco was reluctant to confirm her identity when he was asked to do so by his parents and aunt Bellatrix, avoiding even looking at her. As an adult sobered by his wartime experiences, Draco was civil, if not friendly, towards Hermione and her friends.
Fanon
Dramione is among the most popular ships for both characters.
Fanon
Dramione is among the most popular ships for both characters.
On AO3, it is the most written ship for Hermione, followed by Hermione/Ron, and the second for Draco, bested only by Draco/Harry. It is also the third most written ship in the Harry Potter fandom.
It is one of the most controversial ships in the Harry Potter fandom, due to Draco bullying Hermione and calling her racial slurs. However, many fans believe that Draco is reformed and became a better person, and others like the Good Girl/Bad Boy dynamic. Some also reference the fact that Emma Watson had a crush on Tom Felton to prove the legitimacy of the ship.
A Very Potter Musical
Throughout his first two years of Hogwarts, Draco has a particularly serious crush on Hermione. He wanted a rocketship and Hermione. It's not until after Hermione turns him down after her first year when Draco has returned to the past, that he realizes that he should move on considering "what a b***** Hermione is". Draco later meets Luna Lovegood in the Forbidden Forest while waiting to catch up to his time.
Trivia
Rowling was not in favour of this pairing.[1]
Tom Felton, who portrayed Draco in the films, references Draco/Hermione in two chapter titles from his memoir Beyond the Wand — "The Potter Auditions or When Draco Met Hermione" and "Dramione or The Chicken and the Duck."[2]
