Sokka spots a weakness and lunges. He throws himself against Zuko, his hands on Zuko’s wrists, one of his knees moving up to help push him down. Zuko lands on his back with a surprised oof, and Sokka beams in victory from above, one knee bracketing each side of Zuko, pinning Zuko’s wrists to the ground above his head.

“Aha!” Sokka says, but the sound dies in his throat almost immediately as he looks down at Zuko, his eyes wide, his pupils blown wide, his chest heaving.

His stomach plummets somewhere fifty feet below them, and Sokka feels a little lightheaded.

“Uh,” he says intelligently.

in honor of the new spider-verse movie i did a quick study of one of my favorite shots from the original !! <33

#my art #spiderverse #spider-verse #into the spider-verse #miles morales #i know everyone in the world has studied this shot! now i have too!#id like to spend more time on it next time i stopped after about 30 minutes so i mostly just carved shapes in #i think id also like to ! get some more different painting brushes bc i couldnt get a lot of the shapes i wanted #but it was fun trying to study this without color picking or directly drawing over the composition and everything #so i was just eyeballing it . ive been trying to figure out color relativity by Feeling it out so i wanted to do it this way #comparing them has been interesting ! i can see where i compressed some spaces of the composition #anyway it HAS been almost a year since i posted art here HAHA but well i just post for fun so it doesnt matter #if i posted ocs id have more art here but i prefer not to so you just get stuff whenever i make fanart #i would LOVE to do studies from the new movie but i dont have access to high quality screenshots yet #i actually did this as an exercise with one of my friends from college hehe we exchanged spiderverse screenshots to study #i also added some chromatic abberation you know just for fun . i made a version with it over the full piece but i thought well #i preferred it like this #anyway ! bye !

Korvin is supposed to shadow Tim today as his PA. At the same time, he can stealthily join in discussions on some Wayne Enterprises & Subsidiaries’ projects for the next fiscal year. It’s dubious as hell, managerially incestuous, and not at all billable to any of the workbooks. Technically, Korvin is “Out of Office.”

Tam gives them a Look, Lucius gives them a bigger Look, and they both separately say, “Keep it out of Meeting Room 5B.”

“Pardon?” Korvin plays the wide-eyed mangénue well—first PA job fresh out of his management degree, definitely-of-course-not hired for his credentials nor family connections.

“Director Kwan-Wayne.” Lucius removes his glasses to polish them and says in a mild tone, “That 3 AM with M-Systems could have your name on it for the rest of your tenure. Clear?”

Korvin drops character for a brief moment of honesty. “Crystal, Chief Fox; keeping it contained.”

They get left alone late morning in Tim's office. Tam pointedly does not look in their direction and pushes the controls to shut the blinds.

That’s not Tim’s concern right now.

Right now, his only concern is coaxing the young and nervous PA to come play with him. Cute face, DSL, firm ass, and positively stacked—Tim has to have him under his hands as soon as possible. “I don’t have super hearing, Mr. Kwan. You’re going to have to come closer to my desk.”

His PA walks to the front of the desk, posture stiff and straight like he’s about to crumple with nerves given any leeway. He doesn’t look Tim in the eye; instead, he leans over the desk and clumsily holds the tablet out to show the agenda for the day.

“Mr. Drake, I have the brief for 11 AM printed—if I could go retrieve—”

“Mr. Kwan, no need for that; just brief me like this.”

“L-Like this?” Poor thing is flustered and baffled. Tim supposes he needs a bit of clear direction to help him along.

“Oral report,” he clarifies. And Tim can’t help it when the back of his pen traces against the younger man’s jaw. The metal tip goes up to the corner of his lips, tapping that tempting beauty mark right at the edge. All of it would look amazing wrapped around his cock. The heat would fog up those cute glasses, and if Tim gets careless with his aim? A little mess on those unruly curls wouldn’t be out of place. “Nervous when you speak, Mr. Kwan?”

“I-I,” his PA swallows, the motion framed by the turtleneck under his suit. The suit itself is nicely fitted, if a little juvenile in the fabric weight and cut; obviously a gift from someone with more means. The turtleneck pairing is tasteful, but a choice—hiding love bites? With the gift suit and his looks, maybe this type of “PA work” isn’t outside of the younger man’s experience. “I’m trying to work on. Uh. That, M-Mr. Drake.”

“Luckily for you, I have plenty of advice to offer,” Tim offers with a smile. “We have half an hour—why don’t you come around and I do that while we discuss the brief?”

His PA gives a bashful glance at the wall clock, though still frozen in his vulnerable pose and in Tim's hand.

“Don’t be shy,” Tim whispers, letting the back of his fingernails graze along the younger man’s cheek. Dark eyes follow the path his hand takes, trace it back to Tim himself. When it’s obvious that the other is fighting back a timid but interested bite on his bottom lip, Tim lets his gaze fall to “bedroom eyes” and cocks his head to beckon his new playmate over.

Their roleplay quickly falls apart after that, though because neither Tim nor Korvin can stand being Not Correct. The derailment happens at the intended coy exchange of, “‘Oh, what if we get caught?’ ‘Guess you’ll have to be quiet, sweetheart,’” and then—

“What? No, now I’m actually concerned. You’re the loud one,” is refuted with, “no, that’s you with the actual anechoic sex room.”

“It’s not a—whatever! I literally had to install a trained bypass filter on the hall cams because of you!”

Never mind the unhinged meticulousness in finding the right sounds to train said filter on— “And you got caught, so fine, we’re both loud but I’m stealthier! ...and you’re louder.”

“We have the technology to be, y’know, objective. You just don’t want to be wrong.”

“I don’t want to dignify this argument with actual data.”

“Yeah, that’s how I know you’re actually louder,” Korvin rolls his eyes, even as he continues to contort himself under Tim’s desk. “This front drawer’s in the way.”

Tim pushes his chair back and bends to look at the bottom of the drawer. “I think if you kneel further back, but then—”

“—yeah, I'd have to lean forward.”

“Oh…but that's a better angle for your throat, though.”

Korvin nods thoughtfully. “You'd have to keep me from falling too forward or chance someone seeing my hands stick out,” he muses.

“I'll keep my ankles crossed back in. Brace against that,” Tim suggests, and at Korvin's nonchalant thumbs up, he rolls back in front of his desk.

the horrifying implications of Cinderpelt as a pawn of Starclan- trying everything she can to unsuccessfully stop her apprentice from leaving because she's terrified of the internalised idea of "failing" her clan and her job due to her impending death, while unaware that the entire Crowpool situation is intentional by Starclan for their own benefit to initiate the Power of Three prophecy and that her death in itself is to be Leafpool's motivation to stay- the idea that the stars, the ancestors and family and friends she devoted her life to always meant for her to die young and hopeless and were willing to manipulate her emotionally for the best outcome for them- is alone a piece of her character that's infinitely more heartwrenching and tragic and interesting than "she actually had a crush on Firestar and she's sad she can't date him :((" and I'm so mad that the latter is her primary legacy instead of any interpretations of her as a character that go beyond boring forbidden romance #17 that was barely even implied to begin with

#im sorry but with knowledge of how fucked up starclan is what they did to cinderpelt is. horrifyinggg #this specific interpretation is maybe a bit of a reach but it goes hand in hand with them lying to squirrel and leaf and so on #and also makes more sense in-universe as to why they 'reincarnated' her afterwards than literally just a cocktail of fanservice and ableism #hey sorry we put you on an inevitable death sentence so your apprentice could get pregnant but stay here lol. you can uh possess ur niece i #anyways sorry for all the cinderpelt talk ive been thinking a lot about her lately #she has such a weird reception in the fandom in that she's considered a 'fan favourite' but literally nobody cares about her too much #theres only like 4 cinderpelt maps with over 100k views and theyre all a couple years old at least #for good reason probably because there's a lot of ableism around her both canon and fanon #but still it's a wee shame since she's such a major character to the first two arcs that the little fanon about her there is is kinda borin #cinderpelt #warrior cats #i think shes a lesbian and i also think she should have been allowed to kill someone for fun

#went to an annual rock show today!!!!!#so many rocks!!!!!#thankfully i set myself a cash budget or my god we would have been there. a lot longer.#such beautiful stuff though!!!!! i've started collecting slabs #because i like to display them on my wall like a collage #i'm enamored with all these shapes and colors and patterns.....#some of the sellers told me what the rocks were but i have a really REALLy horrible memory so I'll have to look them up again later #but I got so many for me and also some (not pictured) for my partner as well.....#i've been keeping my eye out for some specific things since before we even started dating and finally got my hands on some x)))#and also some that just have like #patterns and colors I think he'll like!!!! it's so much fun......#ahhHHHHHHHH I LOVE MINERALS AND STONES SO MUCH #they also had a lot of petrified dinosaur poop slabs which were actually. so beautiful.#anyway #heheheheh #literally all of this if i was trying to buy from the rock stores here or online they'd have charged me probably $20-$50 each..... jfc #especially some of the special ones i got like #finding them below $80-$120 for a small stupid tumbled version is REAL hard #my stuff #over half the sellers were just selling tumbled stones though :( saddened by just how many lake superior agates i saw that were tumbled #they look SO cool naturally... why.. tumble them...

#rick and morty #rnm #rick sanchez #summer smith #mr needful #rick is such a petty and dramatic manchild and i love it #honestly as much as s1 has its bad moments (such as the r word conversation in this very episode 😬) i love the way it portrays rick #like it’s very apparent that he’s jealous and needy and just bullshitting his way through life #he feels much more… human? if that makes sense #like yeah there’s a lot of fun stuff with the whole ‘smartest man in the universe’/god complex stuff #but it’s also nice when he’s just a man who’s very good at science and a massive dumbass in all other areas of life #honestly he’s much more emotionally vulnerable to the audience #like we see him here being insecure and needing summer’s approval #and later on in the episode when he’s very clearly lonely and bored alone in the house #and greets morty too enthusiastically and then corrects himself to try and seem cool #again i was really struck by how… nice he was in meeseeks and destroy after morty shouted at him #even before he realised what had happened to morty #(i know he was an asshole before that but still)#plus the citadel episode has him crying over his memories of morty #i think i just have a mental image of s1 based on the ‘anti-pc’ jokes and dudebro perceptions of it #so i forget what it’s actually like #i mean don’t get me wrong there are definitely a lot of extremely cringeworthy ‘anti-pc’ jokes #but rick is actually much more human in s1 #also i find it so funny in this episode that at the end rick and summer actually work out #rather than rick just using some sort of technology to make them jacked #like i know they use steroids #but the fact that they actually went to all that effort cracks me up #also i would say this is the first episode where rick and summer start to actually develop their own interesting dynamic #which i love

I'm so lost in the sauce on my durge that I kinda forget there's supposed to be a video game attached sometimes tbh

#usually when the character completely takes over the game in my mind it's a moment of 'hm maybe I don't actually enjoy this game'#but I don't actually feel that's what's happening here I just think I'm That Excited.#I think a lot of it is having a character outside of an original story who doesn't exist in isolation #like. who has a web of relationships outside of just canon characters that I'm invested in and have been from so early #and we can keep building. by god we can keep building.#I also just haven't had so much fun on a totally new character in fucking forever and it's awesome #while there are definitely some novel aspects (paladin) I have also called them like. the Greatest Hits of everything I've ever done.#woag. fallen angel coded pure idealist imperfect victim Dex/Cha assassin knight with a unique personal relationship with the divine #and the most important backstory characters aren't trapped in the backstory #this rules.#rambling #balthazar is a self indulgent character as well but this is SO self indulgent. healing to the middle schooler in my heart.#and covered in blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!
