Hi, why do you hate Rhaenyra and why did you choose teem green? I'm not mean I'm just curious and want to read some different opinion :^
Hi!
I really appreciate you coming to ask my opinion kindly.
The short answer to your question is that I dislike Rhaenyra because I’ve found that she is quite entitled and that entitlement leads to her behaving irresponsibly and selfishly, to the detriment of others. And, I’m team green because generally despise/dislike almost everyone on team black (Daemon, Rhaenyra, Viserys, the Strong boys, etc.), and I empathize a lot with Alicent and her children and the abuse and neglect they’ve faced at the hands of Viserys and to a lesser extent Rhaenyra and her kids.
That’s the short answer; however, if you want the long, detailed answer then keep reading.
~
Disliking Rhaenyra
Throughout the season, Rhaenyra makes so many decisions for her own selfishness that have disastrous consequences for others. While her motivations are never explicitly stated, it becomes quite clear that Rhaenyra sees herself as exceptional and that any choices she make will not/should not affect her because she is the heir and because her father will bail her out.
She sneaks out with Daemon because she wants to and is ready to sleep with him in a compromising setting where she could be caught, and when consequences come, she tells half truths, deflects, and gets Alicent’s father fired leaving Alicent completely alone in court.
She coerces Criston, a person in a lower position to her who’s livelihood depends on her, to have sex and doesn’t take his “no” (twice!) for an answer. This leads to Criston being ready to commit suicide from his guilt.
She has three obvious bastards which put those children’s lives in danger and puts her own claim at risk. The question of their parentage could lead to a succession crisis when she ascends or after her death when Jace ascends. And that bastard issue also leads to a succession crisis for Driftmark and the murder of Vaemond Velaryon.
She never holds her children accountable for their mutilation of Aemond, and even takes it’s further by trying to have him tortured for information on who said the boys are bastards. Something she knows is a fact. She is literally ready to torture a young boy to cover up a lie she tells, but finds it unbelievable that her son, who gouged out another child’s eye, should be punished.
She doesn’t take any initiative to establish herself in court and gain the favor of Lords and Ladies who may have issue with her ascension (just look at how Rhaenyra is with the Lannisters vs Alicent in court settings). And this leads to a deep dislike of her from certain houses.
Despite Laenor reaffirming his devotion to her and “their” sons. She convinces him to fake his death and run away so that she can marry Daemon who was literally JUST widowed.
She runs off to dragonstone to be with Daemon. This is at a crucial time where she could be taking over more responsibilities as a ruler from her father, gaining the trust of the smallfolk and small council in her abilities to rule as well as learning on the job before taking over. However, she doesn’t want to do the work and leaves the ruling up to Alicent and Otto, a crucial and foolish mistake. Who leaves the ruling to people you perceive as a threat to your claim? And then complains that they are ruling when you haven’t?
And most of all, her perceived exceptionalism leads her to think that she is the exception to the male primogeniture rules. She is not against the sexist system, she’s only against the sexist system affecting her and her alone. She has no intentions of changing the laws to absolute primogeniture, and even passes over Baela as a candidate for driftmark, instead insisting she could rule as queen if she marries Jace.
Overall, Rhaenyra’s actions are all selfishly motivated and come from a place of her own perceived exceptionalism. And when consequences arise she runs to her father to bail her out (including when he’s literally on his death bed rotting away and she hasn’t seen him in years), or she lies and hurts others. Her actions and motivations are just not ones I can support.
I acknowledge she’s at a disadvantage. But she doesn’t put in the effort to counteract it, instead doing whatever she wants and expecting things to work out. I just don’t find that compelling.
~
Team Green
My reasons for liking and supporting team green are much more concise. I just don’t like the people on team black. And I do like the (most) of the people on team green.
I sympathize with Alicent most of all. She’s a child bride who was maritally raped and neglected by her pedophilic husband. I sympathize with the green kids because they’ve been neglected by their father and even mutilated and nobody cared.
And also, I sympathize with them politically to an extent. I recognize Viserys said Rhaenyra is heir. But the laws haven’t changed so they do have a basis for their claim. And while Rhaenyra is heir, Alicent is the one who has been ruling for years in Viserys’s stead. The Targ-Hightowers are the ones who have been in charge for most of the season. They have gained the support of the people and Alicent dedicates most of her decisions to their well-being.
I just struggle to not support team green when they’ve been the most victimized group and they are the ones who have put in the work when Rhaenyra and co haven’t.
~
So yeah. Those are my quickly explained reasons. I hope they are sufficient enough to explain my side, but I’ll be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Kroz&Author
"Greetings, Reader!
You are about to enter a world of darkness, danger, and deception.
A world where a child has been sold to the most powerful underworld company known as the Fates. A world where you will have to make life-or-death decisions for them. This is not a typical story of an orphan or a survivor.
This is a story of a child who has to learn how to kill, lie, and manipulate in order to survive in the dark side of New York City. A city where crime never sleeps and where the Fates control everything from the shadows.
You are not just a passive observer of this story. You are an active participant. You are the voice, the intuition, the gut feeling of the child protagonist. You will have to guide them through their trials and tribulations, their choices and consequences, their victories and defeats. But be careful, Reader.
The Fates are watching your every move. They have plans for you and the child. Plans that may not end well for either of you.
Are you ready to take on this challenge, Reader? Are you ready to face the Fates? Reader I beckon you to join them on this extraordinary adventure, where danger lurks at every turn, and the stakes are unimaginably high.
Through your unwavering presence, you will empower our young hero to face their fears, outsmart their enemies, and ultimately shape their own destiny.
Prepare yourself for a thrilling and immersive experience. Brace for the adrenaline-pumping encounters, the unexpected alliances, and the heart-wrenching decisions that will test the limits of our protagonist's resilience.
The fate of our young protagonist lies in your hands. Choose wisely, for their life depends on it. Decided are we?
Then come closer, and let me tell you more about this story…"
Introduction:
You were a kid, was a kid, now your a cold-blooded killing machine.
Dispensing justice and vengeance using your guns and knives. A modern robin hood you ask? Nope your not wearing any leotard pants or cap.
You're a merciless executioner, killing anyone who crosses your way. But underneath all that bloodshed and brutality, you still have a soft spot for kids.
It all started when you were taken by a prolific assassin, who decided to make you his protege. Armed with guns and knives, he taught you how to kill, track and hunt. But there was one rule that he made you live by, "No children, we never hurt them". That code fueled your respect for the man.
Through rigorous training, you became an expert in sharpshooting, knife throwing, and stealth. You even surpassed the master assassin, becoming the leader of your own hit squad. Together you and him started cleaning the streets from drugs, hoodlums, pimps and mafias. That made you a hero to the poor and downtrodden. But you were known by the authorities as a murderer and vigilante.
Despite all the havoc you reaped, you kept your code. Whenever you had a child captive, you would send them back to their families or orphanage. But one day, rumors of a powerful entity known as "The Fate's" were spreading they deal with guns, prostitution, alcohol, guns for hire, and mercenaries.
It was said that they're the Top Dog of the black market, the consigners of death and terrorisms. You know because your were one of the victims in their child trafficking business.
Now it's up to you to take down "The Fates", the only problem is that you couldn't seem to find any hard evidence against them. It was rumored that they cover their tracks so meticulously.
Until one day a member of their organization was sent to the hit list.
The client? The Fates their selves wanting to kill one their own. Yet there is one problem, your just still a rookie under the eyes of your teacher and he's not getting any younger.
"We need you to get a team and a back-up plan," your mentor said. "To get to The Fates, we need to be ready for everything they throw at us."
Despite his worring tone, you were confident that you can end this once and for all.
Now it's up to the great assassin and their protege, to bring the dark side of the world to light and serve justice to those who deserve it.
"It's time, kiddo," he smirked as he patted your back. "You've proven yourself more than ready for what's ahead, you will be leading this team but under my supervision of course!"
This was an exciting step towards finally taking down the Fates. With your mentor and you leading the team, you were sure it will be successful. After all, this was his legacy, and you will be a part of it. Together, you and him gathered a group of skilled mercenaries, sharpshooters, and information brokers.
You knew it wasn't going to be an easy mission. The Fates were known for their ruthless methods and their underhand tactics. To take them down, you needed to be able to outsmart them.
But this wasn't a rite of passage or even a battle of egos. This was a race against time, a race to save countless souls like you, who were trapped and used for the Fates' twisted plans.

Elizabeth Baker, The Rider of Death
"Appearances can be deceiving. I don't have to be gentle with my words to save your life."
She was once a respected doctor at a prestigious hospital, admired by colleagues and loved by patients. Her passion for saving lives and talent for surgery were well-known. However, everything changed when she uncovered the hospital's dark truth. They were charging exorbitant fees while using second-hand equipment and expired drugs. The medical director was involved in a corruption scheme, siphoning off millions of dollars.
When Elizabeth confronted him, he responded with threats and violence. In self-defense, she accidentally killed him with a scalpel. Fleeing the scene, she left behind her career and reputation, going into hiding. In the underworld, she became a freelance doctor, offering services to criminals and outcasts.
Operating in secret locations, she used whatever tools and resources she could find. Her prices were high, but she maintained high standards. Morality and legality didn't matter to her clients as long as they paid well and respected her rules. With a sharp tongue and a cold heart, she became the most sought-after doctor in the underworld.
Over time, her skills grew, and she began performing complex procedures like organ transplants and limb replacements. You and your mentor have made countless deals with Death, even cheating him a few times, so you know how to handle someone like her.

Haley Jones, The Rider Of Famine
"When I look through the scope, all I see is you."
Haley, a Texan country girl, was born and raised on a ranch. She had a fiery spirit and a talent for precision. While she was no stranger to hard work and the thrill of the open fields, it was the touch of cold metal and the weight of a sniper rifle that truly ignited her passion.
From a young age, Haley displayed an uncanny talent for marksmanship. Her ability to hit headshots with unwavering accuracy earned her the title of the best sniper in her town's academy. Instead of pursuing a military career, Haley chose to become an assassin, targeting key figures who committed heinous acts.
Haley's movements were as precise as her shots. She never missed a target and always completed her missions efficiently. Her sass and flirtatiousness added to the mystique that surrounded her. She often used her curves to distract opponents, giving her time to get into optimal shooting position. People said that if you heard Haley's rifle, it was already too late - you had been marked and there was no escaping your fate.
Despite being an elite assassin, Haley never lost sight of her roots. She took pride in her Texan heritage and maintained a strong work ethic. After every assignment, she would return home to the ranch to decompress from the chaos. Among familiar faces, she would tend to the fields or go horseback riding, finding solace in the simplicity of her upbringing.

Flirtation comes naturally to David, and he uses it to manipulate and gather information. It's hard to determine his true intentions when encountering him.
Regardless of the roles he assumes, David is always dedicated to completing his missions. He will do whatever it takes to accomplish his tasks, whether it's infiltrating an enemy stronghold or uncovering a sinister plot.

“Come here, little light.”
He’s not so little anymore. Lux shifts where he sits against the wall, eyeing the unusually tall silhouette atop the stairs warily. His knuckles rest on the floor at his sides, arms far too achy to even bother to lift them. He had to be chained up years ago, when he was young and sometimes fought back; now he is in his thirties, and carrying the painful consequences of being chained up in one position for too long a decade ago.
“I don’t really want to,” Rasps Lux. It must be sometime in December, he knows. His sweet Penny must be inconsolable about her dad being mysteriously gone around the holidays. Maybe Emory made up a kind lie about where his husband went, and when Lux is set free he can pretend to be coming home from some kind of business trip.
The top stair creaks with a threatening step down into the cellar, and despite his age and experience, Lux feels his breath catch and his eyes fall down and to the side in instinctive submission. It’s never worth hesitating too long to obey. Exhausted from too many years fearing this man, he sets his creaky body into motion, slow and careful not to force any throbbing joints to the point where they lock up in complaint.
He can’t walk up the stairs and they both know it. Lux plants an elbow to the second lowest step with grim determination and pulls himself up enough to set his better knee in place to climb.
A warm chuckle tumbles down from above. His long wavy hair, once curly, falls into his face as he keeps his head tipped down to hide his shame. Broken leg dragging miserably behind him, he climbs, arms shaking with the effort of pressing on in spite of the pain. He learned a long time ago to handle it. He knows it’s possible to get this done. It’s just hard. Hard to wake up huddled on concrete instead of his bed with a warm body beside him. Hard to feel pain in his shoulders that usually is warded off by Emory’s cautious, confident hands. Hard to usually be the one comforting someone smaller, and be reminded forcefully that he was once smaller and weaker than someone standing over him. That he can always be dragged back down to this position on a whim.
He got distracted. He’s sitting, panting between his elbows pressed to the step above. There is a heavy presence above him, and after a beat of silence, a warm hand pressing to his back. Lux shrinks down and away from it.
“Get moving, my light,” The Hunter hums, not unkindly. He can sound perfectly happy while threatening someone.
Lux swallows and nods. He makes it up the stairs and when he finally reaches the hardwood floor and warm lighting of upstairs, he collapses, pale and sweating. The weighty presence of his captor follows from behind, then passes over him, a waft of vanilla and spices following behind him. Bleary blue eyes blink open and long black hair lifts from the floor and for the first time today, Lux really looks at the Hunter.
Red pants, a black belt, white edges to his sleeves, a floppy hat. He’s dressed as Santa.
A turn of the head reveals the colorful lights around the room. The tree in the corner littered with shiny ornaments. Cookies on the coffee table.
“Not already,” He croaks, devastated. White flurries dance outside, glowing softly against the frosty window pane, stark against the night. It’s Christmas day - no, night. Christmas morning is already gone. Poor Penny, worried about her dad, with only most of the presents she was supposed to get. Poor Penny with a worried Papa trying to keep the day magical but secretly scared for his husband, who’s been gone for… for over a month already.
“Yes already, little one.” That name doesn’t work so well anymore, but the Hunter doesn’t seem to mind. “Come on over. I want you to see this.”
Seemingly done with waiting so long for his favorite victim to make his way over, the torturer takes a fistful of knotted curly hair and pulls as he walks along. Lux grunts in complaint and crawls as best he can to keep up, whining lowly as his broken leg drags and catches all along the way.
He’s dropped at the rug before the tree and Lux hides his face to catch his breath, struggling to ward off frustrated tears. Kids only get so many special days in the year where everything is about them having a magical experience, and his little girl didn’t get to have her daddy on the most important one of all. She throws a fit whenever he’s five minutes late picking her up from school, whenever he has to miss a recital because it doesn’t work with his or Em’s schedule. It’s going to ruin her whole week that-
Pain like he hasn’t felt in years erupts in his bad leg, and Lux’s mouth stretches wide to let no sound out at all. He can’t put any voice, any breath behind the silent scream, the pain is swallowing him whole.
Green, red, blue, and yellow lights suffocate his vision into nonsensical blurs as Lux twists to try to see… oh. The Hunter is standing on his leg, that’s all. Not cutting it off or setting it on fire or mangling it with magic. The pain is humiliatingly debilitating. Furious, frightened blue eyes swimming in tears blink up at the torturer, and the killer dressed as Santa laughs.
“Stay with me, light. You keep drifting off.”
“...Sorry.”
“I don’t like this attitude you’ve picked up, you know. Behaving like you are anything…” He leans forward, and Lux’s breath catches as more weight is applied along with it. “...but entertainment for me.”
“-Sorry!” He sounds it, this time. His voice cracks worse when the Hunter presses down harder, the damaged bone seeming like it’s going to creak audibly any second. “S-, I’m s-sorry, I, I didn’t mean…”
“It’s alright,” Says the jolly man, and he steps off, moving somewhere out of sight. Paper rustles.
Lux already knows it’s a gift. Some stupid gift in bright paper that he’ll have to open and act grateful for. He doesn’t want to be here, play this game. He wants to be home.
“I made this for you.” The Hunter returns with, surprise, a small box in red paper and topped with a gold bow. Lux sinks further into the floor with a groan of vague acknowledgement. He can feel every heartbeat in his leg, and sweat sticks frizzy stray hairs to his forehead.
“Want me to open it?” He anticipates. Maybe it sounded too dry, too tired, because he doesn’t even get a warning this time. His shoulder pops out of socket, and even as he screams and his vision whites out, he knows that magic did it. That the Hunter sent that magic with a flick of a finger and a disapproving frown. “S-sorry, I, I-I, I me-ean, s-”
“Shh. You’re getting used to this again, I know. I don’t mind helping you learn.”
He absolutely does mind, he’s the most insecure and bitter man alive. But Lux won’t argue again. He just reaches out with a quaking hand and accepts the gift, lowering it to the floor and picking apart the ribbon holding it shut.
The Hunter sits on the nearby armchair and leans forward, elbows on his knees, watching happily.
Lux thinks about how pathetic it is to have a prisoner instead of a family. To not know what love is. Because you can’t really know what love is, what overwhelming deep inescapable love is, until you have a little kid looking up to you with sparkling eyes.
The lid falls free, and he’s able to pull out a… Lux’s eyes focus fully, his distracted angry thoughts dissipating into a much stronger, formless cloud of rage. Outside the snow slows to a stop mid-air.
“...Okay.” One elbow presses to the floor, firm as stone as he pushes himself up to sitting. His displaced shoulder tries to make him collapse and sob but he refuses. His broken leg, too, wants to make him give up, but no amount of pain can override the feeling that’s caught in his throat right now. The small pair of earrings, little capybaras with diamonds instead of oranges atop their heads, is protected in his fist. These earrings were specifically asked for, and impossible to find online or in any store, so he met up with a jeweler and personally approved of drawn-up designs. They were bafflingly expensive and irrefutably worth it.
“Okay,” Lux repeats, and when his cold eyes meet the Hunter’s, he sees just what he expected - surprised, impressed curiosity. Joy. Amusement. “We’re not doing this. These? I know you summoned them without even bothering to go steal them in person.” They were hidden in a cardboard box in the closet, not wrapped yet. They were safe in the home his daughter sleeps in. “I know you didn’t step foot in our house.”
“Oh?” The Hunter reaches for a mug and drinks from it, setting it back down at a condescendingly relaxed pace. “How do you know that?”
His fist is pressed to the floor to keep himself upright. Lux won’t let himself pass out, he won’t let himself fall back down. “You used some kind of spell to find something valuable and hidden, there, and summoned it here. You didn’t go anywhere near her.”
The man shrugs and glances at a window, happy and calm, about to answer with some coy taunt. The words die before they reach his lips as his expression hardens with cautious focus, and he has to squint to make out the fluffy snowflakes hanging frozen mid-air out there.
“You can keep me here,” Continues Lux. “Do the whole scary Christmas thing, throw me back down there, make me obey. But this was a mistake.” He lifts his arm and holds out the earrings in gesture. They shiver and wobble in his palm. The Hunter’s focus is back on him, now. “Put them back. Never even pretend you went there. Never even hint at even knowing about her. Do you understand?”
“My light, I don’t think you want to-”
The windows shatter. The Hunter flinches - and good, he should - as glass flies in and scores a small cut across his cheek. Outside, the flakes tremble, straining to continue their natural path of falling but afraid to defy the furious magic holding them.
Lux hasn’t moved from where he sits. He doesn’t have to stand, to loom to be frightening. His eyes don’t glow, he doesn’t raise a hand in threat. He’s still quivering with pain and exhaustion. But his eyes are locked on his target, and the Hunter seems to finally feel like the prey that he now is.
“Do you understand?” Lux repeats. The tiny diamonds of the earrings glint beautifully in the light shining from the tree.
“...I’ll wipe your memory. Start the night over. You will obey me,” Says the Hunter carefully. He hasn’t moved since the windows blew in.
“Alright. But these will go back, and you won’t try this again.”
The Hunter sighs, looking down to the little pieces of metal and precious stone, then back up at his prisoner.

SPOILERS FOR AVATAR: FRONTIERS OF PANDORA - TAP CON-1 AND THE SARENTU MOOT MASSACRE
I wanted to post my full thoughts about the game after i finished my first playthrough, but I can not just keep what I just learned in my head, so be forwarned; Spoilers ahead.
Let me just say that the entire TAP CON-1 quest made me feel... disgusting.
That word perfectly encapsulates how I felt the second I heard how they made the children shower in disinfectant, as if they were diseased. I felt gross, and messy and just absolutely disgusted.
And then the massacre happened and I was just... I don't know how to describe it. Like, I knew Alma was involved, but the way that it all just poured out. That she was there during the whole slaughter, how she admits to playing ignorant, how she let the children believe the lie that their families abandoned them and it just made me think of everything else she's done since knowing her.
She did nothing as the RDA barged into the moot and slaughtered the entire clan.
She did nothing as the children were literally shoved into cages like animals, shackled like prisoners and then washed and striped of everything that made them Sarentu.
She proceeds to teach them what she sought out to teach, knowing damn well the consequences of wanting her school program to work.
She did nothing as Mercer and Harding trained/abused the children.
She did nothing when Mercer killed Aha'ri (which should have been the breaking point at this rate)
She left the children in cyrosleep for 16 years, not once thinking to check if they were actually alive.
She proceeds to keep her secret, and even expresses confirmation in an audio log that "they made the right choice" when bringing up how the Sarentu children are adjusting to the resistance. Basically implying that she's glad her teachings worked.
She tells Ri'nela that the Kame'tire can't be trusted, alienating the clan that she indirectly ruined with her ambitions.
And when she's finally figured out and Alma's Avatar is killed, she laments about never experiencing Pandora freely anymore, as if she expects Ri'nela and MC to lament with her.
After the whole funeral, I began rummaging it around in my head, and in the end, I concluded that the death of Alma's avatar and her actions are in direct parallel to Jake's.
Jake wanted to be part of the Na'vi because he got to actually connect with it's culture and worked to become a part of it. And when he screwed up, he worked to earn the Omaticaya's forgiveness, eventually becoming a true Na'vi.
Alma pretty much already saw herself as part of the Na'vi, despite barely doing anything. When Nor happily shows them the Sarentu knife and then laments how it was kept as a trophy and Alma said it was back with "us", like she was implying herself as part of the Sarentu. And she did very little if nothing at all to amend her mistakes, instead opting to play the victim here.
I also thought about Grace here, and her own sins with her own school. But the difference there is that she actually worked to make a friendship with the Omaticaya before taking in students. And her school was out in the forest, made from wood and full of life and learning. Alma's school was indoors inside metal walls, cut off from the outside world and they were taught one-sided knowledge that boosted the RDA's image and tarnished the Na'vi's.
And then Grace's School failed, she to seemed to loose herself to her avatar, preferring her avatar body to her human,, but she never once tried to cover up her mistakes. And she tried to make things work.
Alma did nothing but cover up the truth until it couldn't be hidden anymore.
In the end, the fact that just one quest could make me feel like this and have me think about all this really shows that the story works.
So it's gameplay is a little too simular to Far Cry. Who cares? So long as the story has me feeling complex emotions like this, I will play it.
Even if the glitches get a little annoying, I still enjoy every bit of this game.
And I will post my full thoughts on the game once I've finished it.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with my train wreck of thoughts!

I really try to understand and reread the Ken document to see where Viv’s supporters are coming from, but I’m sorry, all I thought when I was done reading it is that Vivienne is just mentally unstable to the point where she can’t carry a normal and steady conversation without either being petty or freaking out. I think that’s why so many of her peeps and fans excuse her because they see her in a vulnerable state and see her say she’s “shaking” and that she can’t handle this, so everyone coddles her and thinks that Ken must have said something to warrant a reaction like this out of Vivzie…….expect….they didn’t.
Ken never harassed or poked Vivzie, they never got angry and forceful, but when they reasonably give Viv VALID constructive criticism about how she should be crediting her artists since she’s leading an INDIE team (and can’t figure that out apparently since she compared herself to fucking Disney) apparently that was enough to send Vivzie off the edge immediately and think that Ken was attacking her, when Ken said it themselves, they were just talking to her. To have fans paint Ken out to be this needy person who demanded credit in unwarranted aspects is disgusting, because what they said in their document was true. They HAD been responsible for writing MAIN plot points, jokes, and ideas that all made their away into the final product, and the fact that they only got an “additional writing” credit rather than having their name up with Viv, Dave, and Raymond is bullshit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Viv’s point she had made of Ken’s writing only being in the “early stages” is literally a lie because what they wrote ended up in the final product, not only writing main jokes but Alastor being in the pilot and investing in the hotel, Angel being there for free rent and being the first hotel patron, Charlie trying to convince those of redemption ect. And then when the two brushed it aside, good ol’ perfect Vivzie called Ken an abuser to others, saying false things behind their back while ALSO pretending to be nice to them upfront. That’s my biggest issue. Tell me one instance where Ken was “abusing” Vivzie. They weren’t, Viv is just so fucking emotionally sensitive with zero thick skin and sees anyone daring to criticize her as an attack, and she’s STILL like that to this day. I really don’t see how people can read a document of her not only tracing and not crediting someone, but talking lies behind someone’s back while also being nice..and STILL support her, I really can’t. And it’s funny when some of y’all think that we want Hazbin to cease to exist or Helluva to stop running….no….we don’t give a shit about the shows, we want Viv to get the consequences of her actions and her victims to get justice. We want her to own up to what she’s done, especially the recent drama, and yet she never does cause in her eyes she can do no wrong. She always fucking acts like she did nothing wrong, or blames her behavior on everyone but herself. She’s a 30 year old woman, she acts like a child and needs to be kicked down a notch. She never learns from her experiences or gets better and it really is tiring to see people side with her EVERY single time, despite their being countless evidence clear as day that she’s an entitled brat, with even ANOTHER spindle-member coming out and revealing that they were mistreated as well:
Tumblr media
All I can say is that I hope more members are inspired to come out, and not afraid, especially since there are ex members who came out that we haven’t heard a word from, like Salem Squidder, the person above, even Ashley Nichols. People need to realize that wether you like Viv or not, people were HURT by her, and she needs to come forward and confront it, not vague tweet and hide behind her fanbase, leaving everyone to fight her battles instead of herself.

I sometimes wonder how the princes internally reacted to learning Leon's secret that day in the roundtable room. Particularly, do you think Chevalier was heartbroken?
*spoilers under the cut for Leon & Chevalier's routes*
[Note: Tread carefully in the comments section of this post as there are slight mentions of spoilers for flashback events and Clavis & Gilbert's routes.]
Because to Chevalier, what separates royalty from the commonfolk is duty. He makes it perfectly clear to Belle that the consequences of her decision of king lie entirely on the king himself, and that it is the job of the other princes and the nobility to upkeep the country should he fail. Add that on to the fact that Chevalier doesn't even fully consort with the idea of the Belle Selection. I wouldn't say this means Chevalier looks down on the commonfolk (he assigns value based on how useful a person is to him no matter their upbringing), but he definitely considers them in a separate world from his own.
And Chevalier's world is the palace and the nobles and his faction. He knows the work he and the princes do is a contract to the kingdom they are obliged to fulfill because of their positions. And remember, for much of his life Rhodolite was ruled by a "fallen beast", so who knows how early on the princes had to pick up the slack? [that's a theory for another day...] To Chevalier, nobles and ambassadors come and go, their preferences and alliances shifting over the littlest things, but the princes are honor-bound to stay on the side of Rhodolite; they are the only ones he can trust to act in favor of the kingdom every time. And we know this because even though Chevalier is aware the princes each lead their own double-lives (except Leon, of course...), he only chooses to intervene when their side-hustles actually start to pose a threat to the kingdom.
So when Leon is revealed to not only be a commoner but also not even Rhodolitian [edit: Leon's ancestry is still debatable], Chevalier's trust must have been shattered. The man he deemed worthy enough to lead the internal affairs of his kingdom, to act as his counterweight in politics, to be his rival was as far removed from his world as could be. And he was none the wiser for decades. Was it a bigger insult to the royal family or Chevalier's pride? Whatever the answer, it was enough for Chevalier to draw his sword on Leon the moment the truth was revealed, despite the clearly far more pressing threat from Obsidian on the table.
Chevalier has stated he doesn't care much about blood ties, a prince is a prince at the end of the day, but considering he and Leon were the heads of their factions and Chevalier respected the reputation Leon built upon it, he'd understandably be upset and betrayed. That's his bro, yo. I wonder how he truly felt about Leon ascending the throne here vs. when it happens in other routes.
Chevalier may always act in favor of Rhodolite, but I think it's more than coincidence that what's best to preserve the kingdom almost always aligns with what's best to preserve his worldview.

Alyx - The Protagonist
Tumblr media
Yang: But she was kind of a mean person, right? She lied and cheated her way through most of the book. Weiss: She was trying to survive. The morals of those old stories are so simplistic.
This exchange is interesting, especially because it is not the first time characters interpret Alyx in opposite ways.
Oscar sees her as a child who goes on an adventure, is changed by it and struggles to go home:
Oscar: I thought the idea of falling through Remnant into a new world was exciting. I never understood why she was so sad when she finally made it back home. But now it makes more sense.
Ozpin sees her as a girl, who runs away from her problems in a fantastical dimension:
Ozpin: I was recently reminded of an old fairy tale. A young girl flees the consequences of a choice, to a magical place. But, having never learned from her initial failure, she only succeeds in spreading it.
All of these characters project parts of themselves on Alyx:
Oscar sees her as lost, because he himself feels lost and away from home.
Ozpin describes her as a coward because he himself has run away into Oscar's subconscious.
Yang criticizes Alyx's tendency to lie and cheat because she sees these 2 attributes as the worst of the worst. She is conveniently ignoring she herself has been omitting information about Raven. Not to count that lie, cheat, survive are ideas that apply to Raven specifically. This means there is a part of Yang she herself is not confronting.
Weiss sympathizes with Alyx and refuses the moral of the story as too childish. Which kind of adult would truly believe that lying and cheating to survive is wrong? Except that Weiss's whole arc revolves around her embracing childishness once again and finding the hope and wonder that was stolen from her as a child.
So, everyone sees Alyx as a part of herself, but who is Alyx really?
ALYX - THE CHARACTER
Alyx is no-one, just a shadow:
Tumblr media
Just an empty silhouette that can be filled by anyone:
Tumblr media
This is what characters are, especially protagonists that are meant to carry a whole story on their shoulders:
Blake: I've read so many stories... I never thought I'll be the moral of one.
Characters are in stories to teach people morals and to convey messages. Basically, they all have purposes:
Blake: Have you ever heard the namy Alyx? Little: Alyx... Is that a purpose?
Maybe this is the real reason why names equals purposes in the Ever After. It is because characters are their purposes in a story... and yet, people are much more. So, what happens when a person ends up making their sense of identity overlap with their purpose?
Little: And is to Ruby Rose your purpose?
They lose themselves. Like it is happening to Ruby and like it has most likely happened to Alyx.
Weiss: What did Jinxy want from Alyx? Blake: Her saddest memories and her happiest.
Jinxy wanted Alyx's saddest and happiest memories. If a person loses both, they lose their past self. They lose who they are. It is probable Alyx chooses to leave the previous "her" behind, but can't forge any new identity, trapped forever to be a character. A protagonist. A fairy tale.
RWBY - THE LEGENDS
Blake: We are doing the same thing Alyx did. We are ruining everything!
Here, Blake is talking about RWBY's predicament in Ever After. She thinks that since they know how the story goes, they should be able to avoid Alyx's mistakes. She is frustrated they can't and overreacts. Why is she so emotional about it?
Because Blake is not talking about the Ever After. She probably means this:
Weiss: Maybe Jaune and Winter were able to get them out. Despite everything. Despite us.
RWBY has seen the adults fail at Beacon, so they strived to be better. They learnt from their mentors' mistakes, grew stronger and chose a different approach. Only to fail in the exact same way.
Blake and Weiss are having opposite reactions to the Ever After, but deep down they are dealing with the same sense of failure.
Blake is filtering it through a fairy tale. They must do everything perfectly here in Ever After, because if they can't, what good are even they?
Weiss is dealing with it by refusing the fairy tale. They messed up so royally in Remnant, that who cares what happens in this bizzarre world, which isn't theirs?
What about Yang and Ruby?
Yang is reacting the same as ever. She is going with the flaw and cracking jokes:
Ren: It's okay to be afraid, you know. You don't always have to hide it with a joke.
Ruby is choosing to push forward:
Ruby: We may not know exactly what's going on, but for whatever reason, this place is putting us on a similar path as a book we all read as kids. I say we follow it and stop pretending we know what we are doing.
She is given the role of Alyx and she is determined to fulfill it. She is stepping once again in the role of a protagonist. And yet, to keep on following an already pre-established script without putting that much mind to it isn't the right answer.
The fairy tale should be a chance for Ruby to face heself: who she was, who she is and who she wants to become.
What if you could leave Ruby Rose behind, shed like an old coat? What might happen, if you don't?
Isn't it interesting that the metaphor of an old coat is used? What is a little red hood if not something similar to a coat? A mantle (similar to that of a superhero for that matter) that Ruby chooses to wear? Who is she outside it? Outside her allusion? Outside her fairy tale?
The same goes for RWBY as a whole. They aren't in training anymore. They are Huntresses and are slowly growing into legends. They saved Haven, protected an ancient Relic, decided the fate of a Kingdom. Ruby is famous worldwide as the young Huntress who is challenging Salem. They are growing into more than just themselves. And yet, this is extremely dangerous, because losing one-self in a bigger tale is rather easy:
Pyrrha: For it is in passing that we achieve immortality. Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all.
This is why they are in a fairy tale they all know deep down, even if they have forgotten. It is so they can reconnect with whom they are. Metaphorically, they are going back to The Girl Who Fell Through The World, so that they can look at it from a different perspective. What teachings would they learn that they missed as kids? What will they discover?
What's sure is that they won't get anything if they keep refusing it (Weiss), not taking it seriously (Yang), being too worried about doing everything perfectly (Blake), following the script without thinking too much about it (Ruby).
ALYX - THE PERSON
RWBY must find themselves again and it would be interesting if they succeed by finding Alyx, as well.
In general, I think Neo, Jaune and Alyx are all characters the protagonists must "find" if they really want to figure out the world and their current situation. It is easy to see how this may work out for Neo, an enemy mad with grief, and Jaune, a friend traumatized and lonely.
What about Alyx?
It is possible she might stay in the background as a symbol. However, some hints suggest there might be more to it:
Weiss: He's adorable! Blake: And a lot older than I remember from the book
The world they are in isn't exactly the same of the fairy tale. Jinxy is much older and Little isn't in the original fairy tale. This is why they have no idea who Alyx is. How can they? They are too little to remember. They are in the Ever After, but in a future version of it. This ties with the idea they are confronting their childhoods as adults. It might also be there is a reason for it plot-wise.
Everyone seems to have their own idea of what happened to Alyx. Maybe the whole point is that they will have listen to Alyx's own version of the story.
THE GODS - THE WRITERS
These meta-themes are important outside this volume and for the story, as a whole. After all, let's not forget the Gods allude to the Brother Grimms. This means they are symbolically "the writers" of the characters. Through this lens, then, the whole conflict between the God of Light especially and Salem can be summarized as a writer not being able to write a character.
The God of Light wants Salem to learn an important lesson, so he comes up with a punishment and an obstacle for her to grow. This is how usually a writer approaches a character arc. However, Salem refuses to change, as the God of Light wants. She refuses to learn the theme he desires. If anything, the result is the opposite of what the God of Light expects. Why is that so?
Because the God of Light is dumb and not such a great writer on his own :P To write humans well he needs his brother's help. That is because humans are a mix of light and darkness, of selflessness and selfishness, of logic and emotions, of mind and heart. He approaches Salem as if she were to function exactly like him, but she is much more similar to his brother. Emotional and driven by her personal wishes.
So, the Gods are the writers and RWBY and the others are characters in their hands. When is it that a character overcomes their author? When they end up communicating something their author did not see coming. In this way, they surprise the writers and help them grow. This is probably how RWBY is gonna solve its conflict.
The girls will end up embodying a theme and a teaching the Gods and Salem did not account for. In this way, they will defeat them, symbolically.
At the same time, a meta-reading can very well apply to RWBY's most existentialist themes.
Let's consider these 2 lines:
Weiss: We are not in a book and even if we were we know how it ends, right over there.
Cinder: Oh, come now. Even if you know how the story ends, that doesn't make it any less fun to watch.
Even if all lives end in the same way (death), it doesn't mean they are not beautiful and worthy to be lived. Even if you know how the story ends, it doesn't mean you should not live it fully. You should dive deep into it, embrace wonder and go through it to the very end. Skipping pages means you are just giving up on new opportunities to grow and bloom.

Night descends upon us and yet, as usual, the stars don’t shine brightly the way that they did last summer when our bonfire roared under clear, sparkling skies. I think of that night now as I sit on a patch of cool earth in the dunes above Dollymount Strand surrounded by rusting cans and the sun-bleached wrappers of discontinued chocolate bars.
I remember the balmy air of late July, how I didn't even heed it until now when the night is still too cold to sit out in yet we all pretend it isn't. Anyway, it’s too late to point it out to the crowd that's already gathered here, drinking and playing music from a speaker that crackles every time the bass gets too loud, so I sit as close as I can to the flames without climbing into the pit with them, and let their heat lick over my skin.
Tumblr media
I share a few beers with a big, severe looking boy next to me for a while. He's got silver spikes protruding from his lip, and high cheek bones that make his face look kind of gaunt and hollow like a Tim Burtonesque character. We called him Lurch at school, because he’s also about six foot five and rake thin, but tonight I learn that Lurch’s real name is Rob, and actually, Rob is a very nice person.
He talks to me about music for ages, about his drum kit and how the neighbours keep complaining to his parents about the noise. I tell him that I’ve always wished I was musical but I have absolutely no sense of rhythm. I’m kind of a loser like that, despite my dreams of being that guy with the guitar who impresses all the girls, but I have long since accepted that I will settle to be a humble music-recommender instead. Jen still keeps all of the silly mix tape CDs I made for her in primary school in her room, and it gives me an inexplicable sense of worthiness whenever I spot them.
Tumblr media
Never once during my conversation with Rob do I tell him about the Lurch thing, though it crosses my mind several times. What seemed so funny once in the confines of my little group seems kind of obviously mean now, but I suppose I never took the time to think about it before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Katie is nice too, the girl with a stammer who snorts when she laughs, which is often once she joins in our conversation, because she seems to think my stories are very funny, as does Rob, and I have to tell them not to laugh so hard because it only encourages me to put myself in more situations that might be entertaining to retell later on. They think that's funny too, but actually, I am being serious.
Still, I know they’ll love that one about the time I was using the desert as a toilet and a military helicopter flew overhead, convincing me that my great aunt’s busybody neighbour had called the FBI to report me for public urination, so I make sure to tell it in the most energetic way I can. It’s easier and way more fun to reveal embarrassing things about myself when I’m drinking, and by the time I have finished telling it, I toss my empty bottle to my feet where four others already lie. I hadn’t even realised I had drunk that much, but who cares when I feel this good.
Tumblr media
“Jesus, you’re so funny,” Katie says once her giggles have subsided, “I can’t believe we all thought you were an arsehole.”
“You thought that?”
“Not really,” Rob assures me, “We just thought you were… like, a bit…”
Tumblr media
“...of an arsehole,” I finish, and he’s clearly being polite so he denies it, but he shouldn’t bother, really, because I already know how I am. I'm aware of the things I’ve said and done to other kids for the sake of relieving my crushing, constant boredom, never really thinking about the consequences beyond ‘it will be funny’. Maybe I should say I’m sorry.
“Nah you’re right, I’m kind of a horrible bastard, and I laugh at myself, which gives them permission to do so too, albeit awkwardly.
“You’re not, you’re not,” Rob assures me, “You definitely weren’t the worst of the guys in our year…”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I want to ask him who is the worst, purely for the satisfaction of hearing him say that it’s Fitzy, or Murphy or Breener or any of those other awful, rugby wanks, but I don’t because someone coming through the grass has derailed my train of thought.
“What’s she doing here?”
Tumblr media
I have interrupted Rob and now he’s blinking in surprise as he turns to where Leah, fucking Leah, is approaching us.
“Uh, she comes to talk to Evan sometimes,” he explains, “just for like, a few minutes usually and then she heads off. Do you know her?”
“Yeah.”
Tumblr media
I watch with a clenched jaw as she and Evan disappear into the darkness for a few minutes, and pop open a brand new beer bottle as Rob and Katie chat as I sit between them having lost all of my sense of fun in an instant. I’m also drunk, if not very much getting there judging by the slightly blurry flames that dance exotically in front of my eyes. I have a dim thought that it’s probably a good idea to stop drinking if I plan on seeing Jen later. I doubt Michelle’s parents will be too pleased if I show up steaming drunk at their door…
Tumblr media
“Oh my God, Jude, I didn’t expect to see you here!” Leah is back and standing right over me. I don’t even bother to look up at her face, and instead just stare at her ratty Vans that I’m almost certain are the same pair she wore when we used to hang out two years ago, and they were ratty back then.
Tumblr media
“Yep,” I say. She sits down so closely to me in the sand that I can smell her distinct, Leah smell. She doesn’t smell bad, just like an unpleasant sensory memory.
“How are you?”
I clear my throat, “Are you buying drugs from teenagers now? Is that what it’s come to?”
“Oh, I thought you already knew how Evan and I knew each other.”
“No.”
Tumblr media
“Well, mister policeman, it’s just weed,” she pulls the baggie I saw earlier out of her jacket pocket, “We can even smoke some together now if you like.”
“Weed makes me sick.”
“I remember that! Ha!” She offers it to Rob and Katie who both decline and exchange alarmed looks over our heads.
“Are you going to sit here all night?” I ask her, and even to my own ears it’s unbelievable how rude I am to her, but I don’t care, she deserves it, and it’s not like she even seems to register my tone anyway, she’s always been completely oblivious to what people think about her. She’s that person who hangs around at the party for way too long and keeps bringing up conversations that everyone stopped talking about ages ago.
Tumblr media
“Jude and I go way back,” Leah explains to Katie beside her, “I met him when he was, what,” a nudge to my arm, “thirteen?”
“Twelve.”
“We used to be friends, back when he was fun.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I scowl and she drapes herself over my shoulder with an effortless laugh as though she somehow believes this is our usual banter, “I’m joking, he’s still so fun! And cute!” She tries to grab my face and I shake her off insistently so she settles for fisting a hand in the front of my sweatshirt to hold me hostage instead, “Isn’t he, though?” she presses poor, sheepish Katie who explodes in a ferocious blush. “Would you say he’s the cutest boy at school?”
“I- I don’t know,” Katie stutters.
Tumblr media
“Well guess what! I got to be the lucky girl who took his virginity!”
I rip her off me but she comes back at me with more grabbing hands and tickling fingers, “Ooh! It’s true, isn’t it? Isn’t it Judie? Oh, isn’t it?”
Tumblr media
I wrench her off me with finality and clamber to my feet, my heart beating, my stomach queasy, “Leave me alone, okay?” I bend down to swipe my beer bottle out of the hollow I made for it in the sand and even then she tries to touch my hair. It infuriates me. “I’m serious! Piss off!” I spit.
Tumblr media
“Oh God, mister grumpy!” She says as I stagger around the bonfire to get away from her and everything that she represents. I’m definitely drunk now, it's in my sluggish movements, the way my eyes drift unfocussed from person to person, but being drunk is preferable to remembering Leah as vividly as I would if I were perfectly sober. Right now, it is just snippets of an evening three years ago that play through my mind. The week I turned fourteen, and the hard, frozen November ground by a swing set. The things I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to do but thought knew I should by then, and Leah, and the heat of her skin, the smell of her sweat, the hyper fixation I had on that piece of bark mulch I felt tangled in her hair which somehow became the strongest memory of all, something that I still associate with her when I feel the sharp dig of something in my palm.
When I don't see her I don't think of these things, so I circle the bonfire until she is invisible, obscured by the roaring flames and swallowed by the darkness.

the thing is, jack literally is not a toddler. like i am all for baby jack AUs and headcanons but in canon he is not a baby in an adult body. the narrative does not treat him as a toddler. they settle this debate in jack's second (2nd) episode when jack is mimicking dean (bc he imprinted on him like a baby duck) and he goes to drink a beer and they let him because he's not actually a baby despite being new to the world. it's the same as when amara is born and grows up fast. she is not still a baby when, a very short time later, she is in her fully adult form. jack is a young adult, who yes is a bit naive and learning abt the world, but it's more on par with like angels being new to the world and learning abt humanity, (like cas.)
jack is also an incredibly powerful being! he is literally thee most powerful being on earth, more powerful than any archangel, and only second in power to chuck-amara. and chuck fears him. especially when jack goes soulless. everything that happens in Moriah is because chuck is angling for them to do away with his jack-problem. he's moving the pieces on the board, fueling tfw's (yes all of them) already uneasy feelings about soulless jack and telling them thee Only way to stop jack is to kill him. chuck also establishes that he's a writer and writers lie early on in the episode. then he tells them there's no way to save jack, only kill him. that chuck's hands are tied and restoring souls is beyond his abilities (he literally created souls !! he's GOD !!). he's literally lying to them thee whole time. and it all gets revealed when sam realizes chuck IS scared of jack and that he knows where jack and dean are and that everything is going according to plan and that he's enjoying it. and then dean does something chuck doesn't expect, he doesn't go through with what chuck wants him to do! he disrupts the narrative ! he chooses free will!!! he will not kill his kid. he won't do it. he throws the gun away because he can't do it. jack, very much like dean during the michael arc, is prepared to die if it's for the greater good.
like i said before, jack mimics dean. jack loves dean. jack learned so much from dean's example. (also, an aside but. dean and jack do so much bonding off screen. just from the references to their movie watching alone-- they've watched the lost boys 36 times--it's clear they've spent a lot of time together). anyways, jack learns a lot from dean and he and dean both feel similarly re: sacrifice. jack thinks the same about sacrificing dean during the michael arc, he tells cas it doesn't matter if they can't save dean if it means ridding the world from the danger of michael. similarly, soulless jack IS a threat to the world because he is thee most powerful being in the world after god and right now he is behaving unpredictably. they are right to be afraid of him (and yes they love him, but all of tfw currently fears him.) still, despite dean and jack sharing these similar views, neither of them could follow through with killing the other when it comes down to it.
anyway, all some people want to remember abt 14x20 / jack's soulless arc is dean pointing a gun at jack / putting him in the box but literally dean cannot and does not kill jack and actively goes against god's manipulation. additionally, jack is not a baby who just made a mistake and everyone is overreacting. of course he didn't mean to kill mary, but they are not irrational for being afraid of jack, who is an extremely powerful supernatural being who currently is behaving erratically and where loss of control results in fatal consequences for others. like they are Right to want to take precautions and find a solution to protect the world from jack who at the moment is very much like a bomb that could go off on a whim. also this IS a supernatural fantasy show, like that context matters. they are not putting their literal baby in a box for, like spilling orange juice. they are trying to deal with a supernatural threat on the "dealing with supernatural threats" show. cas even suggests putting jack in the cage / binding jack. they are all afraid of him and looking for a solution until they can figure out a way to save him. and the only reason anyone starts talking about killing jack is when chuck is the one to suggest it as Thee Only Option (because again, it's what chuck wants to happen)

Adrien was done with Chloe and Lila.
In "Protection", as Lila lies to Kagami, she makes up the lie about experiencing a tragic heartbreak in a previous romantic relationship she once had, saying that the boy she once loved had made the decision to no longer see her. Lila has lied about many things and although we know Lila is lying to Kagami about a past romantic relationship, it's not uncommon for some of her lies to end up being twisted versions of reality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The "boy" Lila is talking about who left her in so much pain, is obviously Adrien since he is the only boy she has had eyes for since her first introduction in "Volpina". So, perhaps something did happened between her and Adrien, and that something might have occurred not long after Adrien made the decision to end his friendship with Chloe back in "Derision"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In "Derision", as Adrien silently walked away from Chloe, a lot of things must have been running through his mind as he thought about everything in his life and the life he had with Chloe (more here), but among those thoughts, he might have also begun questioning the one other thing that reminded him of his decision to end a friendship with someone, and that was his reasoning for staying friends with the only other person he knew would, and did, hurt the people he loved, Lila.
At the start of the series, Adrien had made attempts to be patient with Lila and her deceitful nature, why? Because no matter how much of a liar Adrien realized Lila was, after learning she was not a descendent of a superhero or saved by Ladybug, part of him could not help but hope that maybe Lila could eventually come around and realize her lies would not give her the life she wanted and would eventually turn others against her rather than give her the connections he thought she was searching for, to give her the love and attention he thought she needed. To Adrien, Lila had the potential to be good just as much as anyone, but she would never learn to be good so long as there were others who would attempt to expose her and humiliate her in front of others.
(in "Chameleon", Adrien questions Marinette if her attempts to expose Lila in front of everyone was a good idea as doing so would only humiliate and hurt Lila more, pushing her away from following a better path for herself.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adrien remembered the way Lila reacted when Ladybug exposed her back in "Volpina", to see Lila cry the way she did after being humiliated made him feel a sense of sympathy as he determined Lila was nothing more than someone who craved attention.
Tumblr media
(Adrien explains his views of Lila in "Oni-chan", believing she was not dangerous and only craved attention)
Tumblr media
At the start, Adrien genuinely believed Lila was not dangerous and just needed someone to trust and confide in, someone who would be willing to offer her a helping hand and be that person she could rely on, and he for one was more than willing to be up for the task so long as she was willing to be honest with him. However, over time, Adrien would learn just how dangerous Lila was, the more he saw the full extent of her lies, but more than anything, Adrien would also learn how his kindness for her fooled him into believing she was someone else entirely.
In "Oni-chan", Adrien did not appreciate Lila deceiving Nathalie and his bodyguard as he knew they would suffer consequences from his father, but despite this, he would later feel hopeful in seeing Lila show a sense of (fake)vulnerability as she clung to Ladybug and expressed how she understood heroes like them were only trying to help her, but it was precisely this moment of potential good that led Adrien to build his understanding of Lila and further imagine the type of person she was, as well as what she could do for herself in the future.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To see Lila have a more positive attitude towards Ladybug amidst Oni-chan's relentless pursuit, was more than enough for him to believe that Lila was coming around and learning that she could rely on others if she was willing to set aside her ways and open up as a more truthful person, that she really was just a girl who needed a little kindness and guidance her way.
(In "Oni-chan", Cat Noir really thought Lila was coming around to accepting Ladybug, a sign that Lila had made steps to being a better person)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unfortunately, through that one little moment of watching Lila express a sense of "good", Adrien formed a positive view of Lila which had blinded him to the reality of her deceit, all the while he was amidst a fight against Oni-chan. Ladybug knew what Lila was capable of, she knew how much Lila could deceive others because Lila told her in "Chameleon" just how far she was willing to go to ruin another person's life if they did not fall under the line she had set and let her continue to live out the life she had built around her lies.
(Marinette/Ladybug saw Lila for who she was, a bad person).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Adrien on the other hand, could not see the same truth Ladybug saw because it was in his nature to see the good in everyone, to love everyone just as much as they were willing to love him, but the good he believed he saw in Lila was something he wanted to believe Lila would prioritize for herself, however, Lila had no such plans to do so regardless of understanding the harm her lies could cause.
(Lila is perfectly aware of her actions and the lies she is telling other people )
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Still, regardless of what Lila did during "Oni-chan" and "Ladybug", Adrien was still not willing to end their friendship, why? Because no matter how cruel Lila appeared to be, Adrien did not have the heart to leave someone, not when he still held out hope that things could change for the better, which is why he didn't officially end his friendship with Chloe back in "Queen Banana", even after he watched her continued cruel actions towards the others over the year.
(Despite their actions in "Ladybug" and "Queen Banana", Adrien could not bring himself to end his friendship with Lila and Chloe and only reminded them of the possibility of doing so if they did not fix what they caused and stopped their ways. Regardless if they did or didn’t, he held out hope they would listen to him and do as he asked, because they we’re friends)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And yet, in some ways, it was as if Adrien thought he understood Lila and her desperation for attention from others, because he too had experienced life where he was all alone and in desperate need of others' attention. Adrien grew up being isolated from the rest of the world, devoid of interacting with others his age.
Sure, he had Chloe growing up, but it was precisely his experience in having just one person in his life to talk to that made him believe it would be all the difference in others like Lila who had no one. However, to Adrien, it would also be all the more painful if Lila ever lost someone like him who was willing to listen to her. After he became Cat Noir, Adrien even understood what it was like living a life surrounded by lies, lies he knew would hurt him and the good people around him, but was something he would not need to continue in the future if he found ways to improved things for himself, and so odds are, Adrien thought Lila felt the same way, but as we all know, she didn't.
Much like Chloe, Adrien believed Lila's toxic behavior was temporary, that somehow, he could help change her. Adrien never stopped trying to hold out hope that Lila would eventually realize the harm she was causing and learn to make positive changes, all things he had also thought of when it came to facing Chloe. But the more Adrien saw Chloe and Lila continue to fall back into their ways, the more he began to question Lila and Chloe, their actions and whether or not they actually wanted to hold true to their word, to their apologies, as well as their promises and commit to the hard work and sacrifice of bettering themselves, but more than that, Adrien had to question whether or not his kindness and loyalty actually meant anything to them.
After learning the full extent to Chloe's bullying in "Derision" and knowing that Lila had already succeeded in ruining Marinette's life and reputation in "Ladybug", Adrien had to face the cruel reality of his friendship with Lila and Chloe, as well as his attempts to salvage his friendship with them, time and time again, and the reality of it all was that his friendship with the two of them was not like the friendships he had with the others, it had become toxic and one sided.
Things he believed Lila and Chloe would never do, were things he would not do himself and only assumed others had the good sense to do the same, but Lila and Chloe had every intention to continue doing what they did, why? Because they did not see the world the same way Adrien did, and to them, they were entitled to more than others and felt justified for much of what they did.
Adrien had tried to understand how Lila and Chloe felt and thought, but in many ways, those thoughts and feelings were his, not theirs. He tried to find the reason behind their actions, but in many ways, he believed their reasons would be the same as his if he was in their position, but they weren't, their reasons were their own and they took joy for much of what they did, even when they knew it was not morally right in the eyes of others like Adrien.
Tumblr media
In the end, as Adrien faced Chloe in Derision and heard her talk about her views of the world (more here), he did not give the same approach he would always give, because for the first time in a long time, Adrien did not see Chloe through his eyes, he saw Chloe through her eyes and understood that no matter what his hopes and expectations were, no matter what opportunities he and others were willing to offer and no matter how much time and dedication he was willing to give, he could not expect another person to decide the path he believed was best for them, they had to decide for themselves if they would take it, and that is exactly what he had to think about when it came to Lila, he had to look at Lila through her own eyes and understand her for who she was, not who he had imagined she would become if he stayed with her long enough.
In one little moment with Chloe in "Derision", Adrien knew he had a choice to make, should he allow one sided friendships with people like Chloe and Lila to continue? To live a life where he would only have brief moments of hope over the possibility that maybe the two could one day give up their ways, as he continued to watch from the sidelines knowing they felt they were entitled to hurt Marinette and others the moment they did something again, OR set his boundaries and stick to them, say enough was enough.
Adrien told Chloe as far back as "Despair bear" that he could not be friends with someone who was cruel to others, he told Lila as far back as "Oni-chan" that she could always rely on him as a friend, but not if she hurt the people he loved.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The day Adrien ended his friendship with Chloe, was likely the day he also decided to end his friendship with Lila, he was done with both of them as he understood that although anyone can change, not everyone wanted to, some people are who they are, and not even he could change that.

...I just remembered I wanted to make my own statement on the AI thing. ^^;
So you've probably heard, but in case you haven't: Tumblr just sold out everyone's data to the AI trash compactors, they probably did it long before they gave us the option to opt out, and even if you do opt out they're probably still taking and using your work anyway (telling people to opt out instead of actually asking for their permission is already scummy business practice, but when it comes to AI it's functionally meaningless. :/ It's always "well, we're telling them not to use these people's data and we're hoping they'll be nice and go along with it" with no regulations or consequences if they decide to just steal everything indiscriminately...)
Despite that, I am not leaving Tumblr anytime soon. I'm looking into other sites*, but at this moment in time, I have nowhere else to go. ^^; Besides, I still like it here. When I left DeviantArt I was already getting sick of the place, having my art stolen regularly by "fans" and paradoxically getting less and less interest in my work over time. By the time the devs turned the website into eye-blinding slop with Eclipse, I was more than ready to move on.
But I still enjoy using Tumblr. I like writing long text posts that no one would bother to read anywhere else, I like answering asks, and I like the unique sense of humor and style among the users here. ^^ It would take a lot to force me out.
Also, I can take a little solace in the fact that AI-bros do not value "low-quality" art like mine. ^^; If messy cel-shaded sketches with visible pixels ever become popular, then I'll worry, but for now I think it's highly unlikely that anyone will want to wholesale regurgitate my art. If anything, I think prioritizing it in their datasets would only make them worse...and on that note, if you do have "high quality" detailed/painterly/semi-realistic art that would be targeted, I'd recommend 'poisoning' it with Nightshade/Glaze. Although I heard a rumor a while back that AI is "building immunity" to Nightshade and already learning to work around it, but I'm really hoping that was just a wishful lie from the trash compactors themselves. I haven't heard it repeated since then, so I think it's still worth a shot. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So anyway, like the post I reblogged said, I think the best thing we can do now is to make it clear that WE DON'T WANT AI ART. We don't care how easy it'll be to instantly generate thousands of hours of mindless 'content' to look at; we don't want it. Since regulation is lagging so far behind (wanna know why Disney's copyright hounds didn't shut this down on sight? Most likely, they're hoping to profit from it down the line) the only way to fight this right now is with individual litigation and consumer demand.
Don't support projects made with AI**; don't hate-watch them or spotlight them. Focus your energy on the millions of human artists who are still here, and need your support now more than ever.
*I've heard people mention moving to Twitter and/or Artstation: fam, you're jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire. ^^;;; IIRC, Arstation was one of the FIRST art sites to start flirting with AI, and Twitter has been selling off its users' data for several months already. Go there if you must, but don't go under the impression that it's "safer".
**Please keep a cool head when discussing AI art, and keep in mind that it used to mean something other than "mass theft". Artists have and still do create AI tools that are built on limited data sets with permission/compensation, that are used to aid them in their work and encourage human artistry (Vocaloids and DAW's, for instance) rather than stamp it out. Until a specific word evolves into popular use for exploitative AI, we're kinda stuck with this confusion, so remember to get the facts before you speak out.
P.S. Praying every night that this is a dumb fad that will soon die and go to the same hell as NFTs. >_< Praying every morning that the influx of AI art into its own datasets will eventually corrupt itself and make it useless. >_< >_< Praying every afternoon for both at once! >_< >_< >_< Like to charge, reblog to cast, all that

could you do gamzee x rage player! reader? maybe reader is a bard too, like him, lol
♑️ Gamzee Makara x Reader headcanons Rage player 🎪
Your relationship with Gamzee was something that was unclear to some of your friends. For a long time, you didn't trust him, until you finally became convinced that he could be allowed into the circle of people you trusted. One of the conditions of your communication was that he would not lie to you. You were pathologically intolerant of lying, and Gamzee really wasn't lying to you. He might not have told you the whole truth, but he wasn't lying
Some of your thoughts were similar. You were drawn to the truth, you wanted to change what you considered unacceptable, and Gamzee respected your views, although they did not always coincide with his. You were constantly searching for the truth and several times he offered you to relax with one of his pies, but you refused, preferring to stay with a sober mind
Gamzee enjoyed watching how you, usually impulsive, kept yourself in check while talking to those who annoyed you. In a sense, you were a strategist, knowing at what moments it was necessary to remain silent. Gamzee often told you that these were the real miracles, to which you grinned and told him that if he liked to call it that, then you didn't mind
Despite the outward serenity, Gamzee saw perfectly well that you were holding back your anger. He understood that at some point your rage, like water released from a dam, would spill out with renewed vigor, and he was waiting for this moment. He wanted to see how it would happen and what the consequences would be, even if he suffered from it himself. He was willing to take the risk, especially if it had to do with you
Your friends knew that you needed to learn to trust others, but why you chose Gamzee was unclear. However, he didn't mind. He was glad that you appeared in his life. You were somewhat similar, and Gamzee felt comfortable around you. Perhaps together you can find the truth that you were both looking for

You died years ago, only to be brought back in an avatar form. You have no memories of your mates Jake and Neytiri, let alone your kids. Waking up, you were told that Jake was killed by the leader of the Na'vi. Obviously, you believe it. Why would Quaritch lie to you?

The sea is beautiful, but leaves some unwanted affects. Thankfully a trip to a hot spring fixes everything.

I have been trying to get pregnant for a while, and it seems Tonowari is determined that it will happen tonight.
Day 27:Not So Little Present - Aonung
Aonung has been interested in some "special" play. It's finally time to give it to him.
Day 28: I'll Give You the World - Lyle Wainfleet

Do you guys ever think about Iris' blushing sprite?
Do you ever think that the first time we see it. is RIGHT AFTER she hears Phoenix use her real name for the first time?
Imagine loving a man. that didn't even know your REAL NAME until five years after you "broke up." Imagine that man loving you back despite him not knowing a thing about who you really are. And you're okay with that
Because you don't really like who you are anyway.
And once the illusion shatters and fate forces the two of you apart?
None of it matters anymore. If anything it's what you deserve for thinking you could live out your lie with no consequences. It's what you deserve for daring to try to find happiness in a world that has cast you and the people you love aside time and time again.
And then. When against all odds he blindsides you by entering your life again
You hear your name escape his lips. And in that moment you realize
Maybe being seen for who you really are isn't so bad after all.
Maybe. JUST MAYBE. With time. You could learn to finally drop your facade and live in earnest. To fight for what's right the way he told you he wanted to do.
And it shows on your face. It's shown by your rose-colored cheeks and a shy smile that's impossible for you to hide. And for the first time in several years
You don't feel like you need to.

When Arcane first aired, I remember the whiplash of seeing non-league players interacting with league characters for the first time.... I remember scrolling through twitter and tumblr after the finale, and lots of people theorizing that, *if* Jayce and Viktor survived, their paths probably will diverge in the future and they will end up as enemies and I was like.... huhh yeah? Isn't it obvious? That's mean to happen. But then I thought about it and honestly? If you don't know the characters beforehand... would you really guess how bad things are going to end?
Speaking as someone who knew fuckall about League beforehand, and actively avoided any information on it until after I finished the show to avoid spoilers… I had absolutely no clue. The moment I finally Googled Viktor’s name with League of Legends and saw him and his story…. I was the epitome of this
Tumblr media
Obviously there are some ideological differences between him and Jayce, as they argue a few times. And I understood that these narrative seeds they were planting could grow to fester, but like… I didn’t think it would be to mortal fucking enemies. After all, they’re standing together at the end, despite their qualms and differences, and it seemed that Jayce had learned the consequences of his unconscious biases and was actively working with Viktor to finally act in Zaun’s best interest. I thought… oh hey, character growth. They faced a challenge and rose above it, all good now, that’s awesome (even though they might have been blown up in the process 🫣)
And I think the changing of their origin story had a lot to do with that. I think if they’d gone with the original lore (RIP, I’m so sorry to my League friends. I really do wish they’d just left the two separate. There are so many implications on what this means for the characters of both Arcane and League, and honestly it was just stupid. But that’s a rant for another post), then it would have been more obvious. I do like the way they did it though, because it makes Viktor’s LoL bio a much more obvious lie. They were friends. They were close. They were the whole world to each other, whether romantic or platonic, for years. And even though I had no idea a falling out was coming, it makes it that much more heartbreaking when it does happen. It just makes you think… I hope you know we had everything.
