i just wanna see mei and zarya talk about stuff together. like mei is just geeking out about something and zarya doesn't understand but she just nods and is all "i see, i see" about it.

because of ecopoint, mei has a hard time sleeping unless absolutely necessary. she's gotten over the nightmares for the most part, but she's always afraid in the back of her mind that if she dozes off, everyone will be gone when she wakes up. zarya often manages to convince her to rest, and has had her fair share of sleepless nights.

snowball notes zarya's animosity towards omnics and is a little frightened of her. zarya realizes maybe she's a little too intense and bit by bit she becomes less and less disdainful of omnics.

they argue a lot over omnics. mei is so kind and empathetic, and that's not to say zarya isn't, she's just hurt and stubborn. she's had to survive so much shit that believing the best in people isn't her first instinct. mei has a few hang-ups (see: the junkers) but she firmly believes the best in most people, and she knows (or thinks she knows) that people can change.
