As the lively atmosphere of the college campus gradually quieted down, Ava let out a sigh and gently tapped her friend on the shoulder.
"You're late!" the girl exclaimed, eyeing Ava with a playful smirk.
"Well, Franny, I don't want my friend to commit a crime, okay?" Ava sighed in response.
"It's not a crime! Just a little bet..." Kate, the blue-eyed archer, retorted with a mischievous grin, exchanging a soft glance with Ava.
"What if we do get caught, Kate? Imagine the consequences..." Ava hugged her worriedly, and Kate returned the embrace before pulling away with a smile, her gaze drifting toward the Stane Tower.
"It's just a bet, and you know me..." Kate retrieved her bow. "I never back down from a challenge," she added, smirking.
"Alright, but hurry! We're risking getting caught!" Greer urged Kate to make her way to the rooftop before it was too late, prompting Kate to offer a nod of agreement before smiling at the others and leaving.
Kate approached the exit door, attempting to pick the lock, though her efforts proved futile.
"Ugh, come on!" she groaned in frustration, impulsively deciding to climb to the rooftop with remarkable balance, much to Ava's concern. As Kate safely reached the rooftop and answered Greer's call, and warned her to be careful.
"Yeah, I know," Kate replied nonchalantly, gathering her equipment. "Okay, so the real question is, does the bell swing back and forth, or just the dangly thingy swing back and forth?" she pondered aloud.
"It's obviously the bell," Greer chimed in.
"See? I would disagree! I think it would be the dangly thingy..."
Kate smirked confidently, grabbing her bow.
"Nice outfit, by the way," Ava complimented.
"Thanks, Ava. Sometimes you gotta dress the part," Kate chuckled before taking aim.
"I know it's a bet, but are you sure the arrow won't cause any damage?" Franny asked, exchanging a concerned glance with Ava.
"No," Kate replied with unwavering confidence, releasing the arrow, which ricocheted off the bell and hit the ground.
"Well, that was a bit of a letdown" Greer sighed in disappointment.
"Okay, that's enough, Kate! The bet's over! Get down now!" Ava shouted through the phone, growing increasingly frustrated when Kate ignored her warnings.
Ignoring Ava's pleas, Kate calmed herself, focused her breathing, and released another arrow, this time hitting the rope and causing the bell to ring. Ava's initial anger turned to surprise, mirrored by Greer and Franny's astonishment.
"What do you say now, Ava?" Kate smirked, turning to Ava.
"Amazing, Kate!" Ava exclaimed proudly, eliciting cheers from Kate on the rooftop. However, their celebration was short-lived as they heard a loud thud, followed by Kate's shoulder dropping and Ava's expletive.
The bell had fallen, and as the campus security burst through the door, Ava urged Kate to get down quickly, but Kate remained frozen. As Greer and Franny ran, dragging Ava along, Ava hesitated, her concern for Kate outweighing her own fear.
Later, as Ava and Kate exited Grand Central Terminal and headed toward the main street, Kate received a call from her mother. Ava couldn't make out the conversation, but Kate reassured her mother that they were on their way.
"It's okay," Ava said reassuringly, noticing Kate's sadness. When Kate revealed that her mother would likely punish her for her actions, she broke down in tears, seeking comfort in Ava's arms.
"It's going to be fine," Ava whispered, holding Kate close and offering words of reassurance before Kate reluctantly left for home after Ava had made her laugh by saying she won't burn down their apartment.
Back at the apartment, Ava was watching a movie when Kate called, expressing her frustration about her mother's engagement to Jack which her mother didn't tell her but Armand did and her impending return to the party.
"Well, good luck escaping the wrath of your mother," Ava chuckled before ending the call and returning to her movie.
An hour later, the doorbell rang, and Ava opened it to find a masked Kate standing there, frantically explaining that she had to leave immediately.
"What's going on?" Ava asked, confused.
"I'll explain later, I promise. But for now, please, just feed the dog!" Kate hurriedly instructed before dashing off without further explanation.
As Ava knelt to pet the dog, she noticed the tracking screen with the name 'Armand Duquesne' and couldn't help but wonder why Kate was tracking him.
"Huh..." she murmured to herself, pondering the mystery surrounding her friend's actions.

This Will Be The Day That We Die
Part 1 | Part 2
Pairings: Wednesday X Reader (any gender)
Warnings: Wed and Reader both psychos, Love stuff, fluff!!! (kinda) AND THIS IS THE LAST PART !!, dead bodies, date idea: commit crimes together.
Words: 900+
There was a horrible smell coming from the bodies, it felt like one more piece of hard work would get this burden off of you. Though, Wednesday was there to help, "So you have done this stuff before?" Grunting after you had been shoveling dirt out for an hour "Not practically, but I do know how to handle the consequences. You gave her an upside-down smile and thanked her for being there for you.
"It's my job..." She answered to your humble appreciation towards her, you sighed and went back to shoveling more dirt out. Looking at your expression that was not agreeable to Wednesday "And my pleasure." You smiled and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You wanna hurry up, we don't have much time left" She ordered and you complied. You kept smiling as if she wasn't your girl, it felt like your crush was just making you feel sexually attracted to her (again).
As the last drop of sweat had left your body, you knelt down in the 8-foot hole and caught up with your racing heart and unstable breathing. "The hard parts are not even there yet." Wednesday rolled her eyes and climbed above the hole giving you hand for you to take.
You sighed and climbed above, "Now you will know how heavy dead bodies are."
"Not as heavy as my chest right now" You joked and Wednesday looked straight into those eyes with her manipulative and intimidating eyes. You sighed and followed her inside the cabin. Helping her to pick up the body. You screeched when you had to pull your dead father out to the grave. "I can't-" You wailed out trying to keep your grip tight on the body.
"Throw on 3...1...2...3" As the force given to it, the body fell in the hole with a muffled thud, you smirked on the back of the man who had given nothing but pain and now getting the same back in return.
Maybe violence is the answer.
"Now, shovel the dirt on them and when it's 6 feet in depth, we put a dead animal's body to throw the police off if they ever find where it is"
"Wow, short Micheal Myres, seems as if you have a lot of experience"
Now you already knew that Wednesday hated most things but what she hated the most was someone making fun of her height. You didn't knew the consequences of it...yet.
She pulled out a sharp knife right there and put it right across your throat forcing you to walk backwards until you hit the wall of the cabin. From this close, you could smell her precious cologne. The way it lingers on your nose like it had been waiting for you to breathe in a part of her.
"Say that again, and you will be going down the hole with them." She pushed the knife against your throat until it was slightly feeling your sensitive neck. "You're beautiful" You whispered amid the breathing against each other. Her eyes which were deadly just a second ago, after looking at your unscared face her eyes diluted and went in for a soft lingering kiss. You breathed sharply as if it was unexpected even if you wanted to do that a million times more. She pulled away and placed her knife back into her pocket.
"Let's finish the job, once and for all." You nodded.

It was just a month after this incident that the police began to search for the missing couple. You and Wednesday were called into the principal's office regarding you both being lost while Weem's car was gone. Also for the psychological enquiry as to whether your parents could suicide or even runaway.
As your heart rate began to spike while you were at the doors of her room, Wednesday lightly grabbed your hand and calmed you. "It's going to be ok, mi amor."
You opened the door to find police officers with likely to be deadly Weems. "Have a seat" Weems offered as you both sat on the chairs parallel to Weems, with Detective standing beside her.
"Now, I would like both of you to just answer me very clearly and cooperate with us, if you did nothing wrong, we would not intrude on you." The detective smiled and began with her questions, "So, even though Ms. Larissa Weems has decided to not press charges against you for stealing her car, we would like to know what was the motive that brought you to do it." She asked you and you looked at Wednesday and answered, "I was angry, my parents had scolded me after I had failed another time, so I took off with Weems's car to just runaway and never to be seen again, though Wednesday caught up with me and made me know that she is there for me, and will be there for me whenever I need her." Even if all those words that came out of your mouth were a lie, the love for Wednesday was not.
The detective nodded and asked another question, "If you wanted to runaway and with Weems car being lost from 5 in the morning, and it being back at the forest path close by, do you have an alibi?"
"I told you Wednesday caught up with me and explained to me the importance of living, and then I drove back to Jericho but she told me that the cops were looking for me, I got scared so I left the car on the path and left with Wednesday for nevermore."
With a few more questions regarding your parents, she bombarded you with different scenarios. You felt a relief when she said she was done for the day. You sighed as you got the time to leave finally.
It was over.
It was finally over.

I recently watched 'The marvels' and it was kinda mid for me, yes it was better than secrets invasion and the first captain marvel movie. Even tho IMDB rated the movies 5.6, I think it's just kinda low, it deserves like 6.8 smth
Without spoiling, I would say that the movie had a great balance between comedy and emotional things with fighting scenes ofc.
Iman vellani stood out to me the most, like that girl whenever she's on screen, she is guaranteed to make the best performance. And the scene with her family has just made me rewatched those scenes cuz it just provides the humor.
With carol and Monica finally hearing each other, it was good.
Ik some people don't like it as much as I do, but it's just my point of view.
Marvel can do better yes, but it just doesn't show the efforts sometimes.
Like in loki, it was so good, everyone loved it ig. And the little details and those just tiny efforts makes it look cool.
And here was a pterodactyl sharing it's opinion.
