Hey Mirage! Eira here! Unfortunately I have to stay in the hospital for a few days until they can take the stitches out and I'm not at risk for infection. Bummer, since I heard Teo is going to have his first sparring match with Titan. What are your thoughts on Teo, and be honest, how much popcorn are you planning to bring to that fight?
Teo is..he’s not a bad person. He could definitely use some humility, though. He doesn’t quite see mortals as people to walk with, but more like sheep that need to be led. At least he seems to be a more benevolent leader, but I don’t like him talking down to mortals, or saying that us doing so is inappropriate. But I can tell he would be able to learn in time.
As for the fight, Sickle already said he’d prepare a big bowl. Not because we thought the match would go on long, but because a number of us will be there to watch.

The feathered serpent Teo is a god from a classical era Mesoamerican style civilization strongly inspired by the mayans. He is their god of the earth and skies, and is quite used to and happy with a traditional view of how gods and mortals are supposed to interact: Gods are above mortals, mortals are meant to worship them, and in exchange the gods answer prayers, give blessings, and create miracles.
He is often at odds in this with Mirage, and believes it is unhealthy for her to get so personally close to mortals. This frequently gets on Mirage's nerves.
(Commission for @cybertherobotdragon of his new character, Teotihuacan. Description also written by him.)

Hello again, Celestial. You know who this is. Before we met, I had heard of you. A champion in your tournaments, a born fighter, and the daughter of the head Guardian.
Now, I confess myself... disappointed. Were it not for the intervention of that wretched mortal hive, Solomon, I would have taken the Blood Witch's soul right from under your watch. Were it not for that traitor Duke, Halphas, I would have consumed your little son's soul as well.
Once again, I have no questions. Only a warning. I recover now, even as I write this, and if you are not better prepared for me when we next meet, I will win. Should I win, I will consume your friend, Eira. I will consume her apprentice, your hybrid son. I will feed upon every soul you fail to protect.
I grow stronger from every fight. Can you say the same?

(OOC: in reference to a scenario I wrote up with @cybertherobotdragon where several of my characters and some of his encountered the Archdemon, Phlegethon, also owned by Cyber. It went poorly, but the heroes ultimately emerged victorious. Not without a lot of scars gained, the worst by Ollie. Man, we need to figure out a way to consolidate and publish these stories.)

Who is the most inspirational mortal you've met personally? What feats or parts of their character inspired you and in what way?
Well, I’ve had to do a lot of growing in recent years.
Let’s start with Solomon Cohen, who I usually refer to Sir Hivemind, the leader of the Beacon of Hope and the Champions. He has access to incredible power and resources, yet is probably the epitome of “selfless.” He does everything he can in order to better the lives of others as best he can. From what I’ve learned, it is an incredibly tough job, but one he does well. I do hope he eventually gains time to truly rest.
Then there’s Lady Eira Steele, one of the Champions. I do my best to live eye-to-eye with mortals, but she showed me that I had a lot of humbling to go through still. Her mastery over her element and her strength are incredible, and like Sir Hivemind, she is incredibly compassionate, especially to the downtrodden. Our first meeting was rough, I can’t lie, but I think I’ve grown since then, and now I trust her to look after my son, Ollie. I still have a lot to learn from her, but I have faith in Eira.
In another world specifically in Richardson Valley, there’s the mouse, Flash, and his friend, the bear, Deus. Hoo, boy, that initial meeting was….just not good, but it became more amicable near the end. Both are trying to make the best of and improve on their lot in life. Something many aspire to do, and something even I have done in mortal lifetimes. Our initial rough meeting was due to I guess “philosophical differences,” but hopefully things continue to improve.
In the nearby Babylon Gardens, there are plenty more mortals that I’ve learned to bond with, and that initial meeting was also pretty rough, but most of us have mended that.
Peanut is a well of optimism, even when things look dire.
Grape is loyal, and will definitely let you know when you’re out of line.
King and I don’t get along, but I learned that he has reason to be wary of Celestials, and he is a dedicated husband and father, wanting what’s best for them. At least his wife, Bailey, and I get along.
Fox is learning to reel things in recently, but you’ll have a hard time finding a more loyal friend.
I like Fido. There’s apparently an old stigma of him and Sabrina being together, yet they eventually gained the strength to show their love to the world. Almost reminds me of Macabre and I.
Ultimately, this is really only a selective list, but I hope it gets the point across. We’re all partially molded by the company we keep and the relationships we forge. Sometimes they spring up from surprising places, but that’s what makes life so exciting, isn’t it!
(OOC: Hivemind, Eira, Flash, and Deus belong to @cybertherobotdragon , Peanut, Grape, King, Bailey, Fox, Fido, and Sabrina belong to Rick Griffin)

Sickle decided to use some sort of mummy-based prank recently. Not sure the intended target, but doesn’t really matter. He asked Ollie to help him with the costume, and apparently Ollie decided to turn the prank around.
When Sickle was able to free himself, he admitted that Ollie was pretty clever for that.

This was a time when I just barely stopped the Assassin that is Harriet’s curse from completing a mission. Right at the foot of someone’s bed, so I had to be really quick about dealing with her. Thankfully, her target was fine, and he ended up attributing what he saw to a really weird sleep paralysis event.
Afterwards, Harriet pointed us to the summoner, but thankfully they didn’t try that spell again, and we even sabotaged a different scheme of theirs to intended to kill the target to get them caught.
These days, with the help of the leader of the Beacon of Hope, we were able to establish rapid response measures to make kill contracts significantly harder to accomplish. All of us are grateful for this.

This is Andras, one of the more dangerous of the Goetia, and Macabre’s uncle from his father’s side. It’s apparently uncommon for him to kill his summoner for the slightest mistake in protection wards, which is simply the inherent risk of his summons. Due to this, Heaven can’t undo it. However, this loses him the soul the contract would have been for, but he apparently doesn’t really care about that part.
if he tries to go beyond this type of case, which he has, then the Guardians are alerted. Mom’s fought him before, and apparently he’s a very dangerous foe.

Heh, even as a baby, Ollie liked the costume aspect of Halloween. Can’t go wrong with a basic ghost.

Another dream. Once again I see Selene and Orobas, but this time, they’re with Ollie. Ollie looks…grown here. This has to mean that this is far into the future. He’s 15 now, when his growth hits a snail’s pace. It’ll be a very long time before he looks like an adult, who knows how many millennia that could be.
Looks like he’s made changes to his weapon, and even grown more traits that resemble his father and I. But I also see that he still has his scar, from when we first encountered Phlegethon. I sense he’s happy with these two, so mental healing may still be occurring, but it’s good that it’s occurring in the first place.
May it be so.

I kinda like Myron. Yeah, he can be a bit of a blowhard, but that’s usually only when people are antagonizing him. Think it’s kinda normal for skunks to be a bit aggressive when threatened, anyway. But he was in the past a magician’s pet, and he’s apparently picked up on a lot of that. He’s great at coming up with new illusions and sleight-o’-hand things. He actually likes seeing us try to figure out his tricks, and it’s rare we do.
But I feel there’s more to that than meets the eye, maybe even more than Myron himself realizes. I get a similar feeling around him to what I feel with Sabrina D’Angelo, Tarot, Marble, and Trevor…

It’s great that Aria has been helping Caleb gain more confidence in himself. Before her, he wouldn’t dare go out to a costume party. He was just way too shy. Gotta admit, it’s weird that the deer half of his Jackelope form has such prominent fangs, but hey, does make for a more convincing Dracula cosplay.

So, when mortal souls are allowed to visit living realms, they have a halo over their head to denote their status. Kinda neat, sometimes wish I could work one in my own looks, but it could get kinda confusing, and frankly, don’t think I can pull it off with my preferred default shape. Some have started coming up with new halo ‘styles’ lately. Someone once offered Arin, Macabre’s dad, a ‘crown of thorns’ look. The reference was pretty obvious, but uh, Arin declined because it was essentially meant to be a torture device…

So apparently Sickle decided to go big with his next prank, making a bunch of UFO sightings. No clue where he even got the saucer.

What is it with these weird dreams? This one didn’t acknowledge me at all, though. I recognized one as Trevor, Nikolai’s boyfriend. Saw that the other had magic and had two tails, almost thought that was Nikolai, but nope, definitely not him. He did sort of remind me of Nikolai, though, but some parts looked like Trevor.
….wait a minute, did the two of them…?
