Tumblr can’t process the colors I used so the image is very dull :( but I’m trying to get better at painting! :) referencing scenes for composition and lighting is very helpful

I’m into MIT Tony, Rhodey and Pepper now. Please hear out this scenario.

It’s a Thursday night and Tony is about to power an electrical board he wired using the old, not exactly safe, electrical socket of his dorm room. Rhodey stares at him from his desk on the other side of the room, eyeing the birds nest of wires that made up said electrical board.

“Are you sure the transformer won’t draw so much current that it’ll blow a fuse or the socket in the wall?”

Tony mouthed his roommate’s words mockingly and flipped the switch. The led’s inside the circuit board glowed a soft orange and the relay made a repeated clicking noise which steadily grew faster and faster as it gathered more power.

“It will not -”

The lights in the room unnaturally brighten momentarily before going pitch black and the small fan in the corner of the room slowed to a stop.

“- or it will draw so much current that it causes a fuse to blow … damn I thought my math was right”

“Ever heard of the phrase measure twice cut once?”

“Oh shut up, you sound like my dad now”

The sound of people opening their door rooms could be heard from outside and someone took the courtesy to bang on their door. Rhodes walked over and opened the door a crack to see one of the guys from their hall in a fit of rage.

“James, if that was your god damn roommate again I’m going to rip him and his stupid project to pieces, I have a chem midterm tomorrow and NOW I CANT DO SHI-”

Rhodey softly shut the door on him, turning the lock, but the sounds of yelling were still very audible.

“What if I named the robot DUM-E?”

“Huh?”

“I mean it is a stupid project, might as well make it a stupid robot too”

“Whatever man, can you just think of some excuse to tell the RA so he doesn’t kick us out. I’m trying to not be homeless right now”
