It's difficult to draw someone who looks like everyone else and anyone at the same time. I imagine if beige was a person, they would have to look like Moist von Lipwig. I was going for the sort of coloring that would make it difficult to recall / describe the exact color of hair, eyes and skin. Which is, mostly, just brown-ish with a vague hint of Jerry from HR.

Just another face in the crowd. Wearing the very black, golem-made suit.

You'll remember the words, the golden hat and the swagger - but not the person.

I've been spending some quality time on the Discworld lately. And upon re-reading some of the books about The Watch, I had to draw me some Lady Ramkin. No offence to the official illustrators, they're great artists and all, but I could never see what I see when I read when I look at any of the artwork out there. So I made my own.

1. Sybil Ramkin wearing a black dress & black wig, and some family diamonds, looking like the night sky. And winking at Vimes.

2. "It's my bloody dragon!"

Any tips for drawing armour Alphonse and just the FMA style in general? (I'm working on an idea, and I want to get the characters to feels like belong in Amestris.)

Hi, I don't have a specific tip, except maybe that you find some of the character design lineart that was made for the anime - it shows all the lines and layout of the armour very clearly. Those images circulate around the internet, I'm sure you can find them. And if you want to study the armour in motion, best to do so looking at manga depictions rather than anime, because for the animation purposes they often cut corners and stretch / modify some details from shot to shot. I hope it's helpful in some way.

my art process in a nutshell: 1. doodle random characters as a quick sacrifice to the algorithm gods, with minimal lineart and detail. time is money, or so I heard.

2. spend two weeks painting a wildly detailed background with complicated perspective for no reason whatsoever.

This is also a concept art for my History Watchers story that exists, so far, in my mind only :D ---
