Keto has done so much for me, not just in my physique— my mental health had improved so much, and I say “had” because over the holidays I stopped Keto completely! Let me tell you, took a huge toll on me & took me back to my old self. To the girl who was mean to herself in the mirror, depressed who hated clothes and hated being seen. Now that I am back, I am only a couple of days in, but it makes a huge difference getting back to a routine and not feeding my body sugar or unhealthy carbs literally opens up my mind in a positive way. I saw myself in the mirror today & I was nice to myself, even tho I lost the abs & the scale doesn’t say “120lbs” anymore I am happy where I’m going! All because of Keto I finally accepted myself with all my flaws. I think I’ve said this in every Keto post, but Keto really did save my life— not being dramatic, I promise the girl that I am when I’m on Keto is such a bad bitch in a good way! When I walked out of the dressing room in the wedding gown of the day, I was so scared I would see the girl on the left staring back at me. I had worked so hard and KNEW I wasn’t that size and yet I was still scared. Funny thing is I walked out and I did see that girl in front of me but she wasn’t using a bouquet to cover her arms or crying because her monogrammed robe didn’t fit. Yeah, sometimes it’s hard to not let those comments get to you or even start questioning yourself You’re only human! SO many pictures online, social media, magazines, etc that show these beautiful women flawlessly. Don’t. Compare. Yourself. Don’t. Compare. Yourself. It goes back to what I said. So much can go into taking a picture. I don’t have abs 24/7. I have extra skin. I have cellulite. I have stretch marks. I look weird in some angles and I’m Like oh shit 👀. It's OK.
