It occurred to me that it would be fun in some fantasy story to have squirrels with wings, but then I remembered that their tails are so fluffy as a way to slow them down when they jump from branch to branch (and occasionally fall out of trees).

A squirrel trying to flap enough to move forward with that kind of drag would be a sad thing to see. Flying with the brakes on.

And well, there's always magic in fantasyland to make things easier, but that's just cheating.

#I know they wouldn't be shaped right for flight anyway #but that's hardly the point #fantasyland creatures can have wings #as a treat #but some will have a harder time with them than others #maybe wing-squirrels just have really beefy flight muscles #which in turn would make them heavier etc etc #this is probably the kind of thing that keeps wizard students up at night #trying to figure out how to make their Masterwork Project succeed #while their friends try to convince them to try something easier #writing prompts #squirrels #wings #in fantasyland

The design of Loop for the Appétence Au. They get to be creachur. Scaly and fluffy at the same time, a wonderful combo.

They start to wear clothes post cannon (aka the second half of this au) at the party’s insistence (and cause it looks good). And yes they do join the party post loops.

i just saw the new ghostbusters there is an obvious solution to not freeing the ice guy. it is just Phoebe and Melody kissing for the two minutes Phoebe is a ghost. she can't say the incantation if Melody is kissing her. there. problem solved.

I was thinking about how at one point gep was excited to be part of the guard, things were simpler then, things made sense, there was no need to question the supreme guardian’s will because it was all encompassing and with it came prosperity for belobog. things become complicated when you realise that you’ve given your whole life to a set of ideals and in doing so have condemned yourself to their stringent regulations like. you will die young and it’ll be for the people and that’s what’s expected like. when I sit down and think abt how much he wants to live w the consensus that being part of the guard will always be dangerous and how being part of it restricts anywhere else he can go and anything else he can do.

#I think abt this a lot bc in his heart he does yearn to be like his sisters #to live freely and enjoy what he enjoys and experience what he wants to experience #he was molded to be the righteous soldier #it was always going to be a landau child who took on that role #and like #there’s a difference between training together and being excited to finally step up and become smth important #then seeing the horrors of people you love dying infront of you and you being helpless to prevent it #I just want a world where gepard can live happily and have his little garden and #bake confectionaries in a frilly apron #as a treat #ooc.
