Hi guys! Soo, I didn't expect to be making a post like this, but I've seen a few other people make posts after the finale, so I figured I'd throw my thoughts into the mix too (under a read more cause well, you guys are probably here for screenshots, not for my ramblings)
I only started watching Amphibia a year ago, May 1st 2021 while procrastinating during finals week last year to be exact, and May 17th was when I was fully caught up before True Colors. I had been in the TOH fandom for a while (still am, just don't have a sideblog for that lol) so I saw a bunch of my mutuals from there post Amphibia things, and I don't know why it took me so long to watch Amphibia, I love it! I've loved cartoons for so long, and this little frog show squirmed it's way into my heart so fast.... I didn't expect to make this account, it just kind of happened after True Colors aired, and I'm glad I did, because over a year later... I'm still just as in love with the show, if not more. Have I missed a few days of posting sometimes? Yeah, sometimes college got busy and I ran out of posts in the queue, but for the most part I tried to always have a post ready. I love the interaction I've gotten from this account, and I love all the people I've been mutuals with on my main account, even if I haven't really talked to most of them. I wanted to give a special shout out to @maritasdump, who was honestly one of the people who got me to watch this loveable frog show. They also make great piano covers, so check her out!!
Oh also - shoutout to the amphibiapocalypse server, I’m not very active in there all the time but I love being in it :) love all you guys so much
Anyway, rambling aside, this past year of watching Amphibia has been an amazing year, and I've loved every experience I've had running this blog. It started as a way to count down from the season 2 finale to season 3, and I'm so happy I decided to keep it going after it started, and I'm going to continue to post on here for a long time! (trust me, I have plenty of screenshots, I could run this for a few more years)
Thank you Amphibia, Amphibia fandom, and the crew of Amphibia who I'm sure will never see this, this has been an amazing show, and an amazing journey. Can't wait to binge watch the show again this summer and cry :)

Why, out of GF, Amphibia, and TOH, only Luz didn't have to leave her new world behind:
I've seen people complain about Amphibia and to a lesser extent, Gravity Falls, for having their series end with a goodbye; the main characters having to leave their found families and this world they've grown to love and return to regular life. But the thing is, the three shows all have MASSIVELY different morals, that each fit in with how the goodbyes (or lack thereof) work into the finales.
Gravity Falls has a large theme of temporary goodbyes and reconciling. Stan and Ford being the primary example. But there are others: Soos and Melony, Wendy and Robbie, even Dipper and Mabel to an extent. The show builds upon this with Gravity Falls being a VACATION, they aren't trapped there, they could theoretically go home at any time. Episodes such as Summerween and Dipper and Mabel Vs. The Future also build on the tone, telling that it's okay to both grow up and move on, but you don't have to leave behind what you once loved in doing so.
The final conflicts (Wierdmaggedon) are caused because of characters not being able to let go. Stan couldn't let go of Ford, Mabel couldn't let go of Gravity Falls, Gideon couldn't let go of Mabel.
Gravity Falls teaches the viewer that even if you love something, you have to let it go, and eventually it will return. In the words of Bill Cipher: "We'l meet again. Don't know where, don't know when. I just knew we'll meet again, some sunny day."
Tumblr media
Amphibia has a similar theme of Gravity Falls, but it takes it further. Amphibia tells you that if you don't let go, sometimes things will only get worse. The primary example for this is the show's catalyst event: Marcy getting Anne to steal the Music Box. Marcy chose to go to Amphibia, rather than move away, and she dragged her friends into it with her. Instead of having a long distance friendship with Sasha and Anne, she took them to an alternate dimension in order to spend eternity on a massive adventure, and it got her killed. Marcy and Anne died and Sasha tried to kill herself.
And that's only Marcy. Sasha was a control freak that bordered on yandere at the height of her villain arc. Sasha couldn't accept that Anne was beginning to move on from the toxic friendship that the Calamity Trio had locked themselves into.
The trio were horrible to eachother, pre-character arcs, and they needed to focus on self improvement before they could even hope to be good friends. In the time between 'All In' and the epilog, the Calamity Trio would not have actually been able to be good for eachtoher. They say they forgive eachother, but that was forgiveness given during a WAR. Post show, the real feelings would start to bubble up. Anne's resentment for the betrayals, Marcy’s abandonment issues, Sasha's definite self hatred. The trio HAD to split up to have any semblance of a friendship.
Amphibia tells its audience that not all good things can last, and if you obsess and force it to stay, it can destroy you.
Tumblr media
The Owl House has a completely opposite moral. It tells you to find your people, and fight for them.
Luz lived in the Human Realm, but it was never her home. Her home was with Camila and Manny, but when Manny died, Camila and Luz's relationship began to falter. That world wasn't her home. When Luz found the Boiling Isles, she was always supposed to be able to leave. This wasn't a summer trip she didn't want at first, or a one way portal. The Boiling Isles was HER choice.
Luz picked Bonesburrow. Luz picked Hexside. Luz picked The Owl House. Her home was always meant to be The Boiling Isles. She only started trying to find a way back to Earth because the choice was taken from her. Luz no longer had the choice to go back to the Human Realm. In fact, the only time Luz chose Humans over Isles was when she was PUNISHING herself for helping Belos.
Luz got to stay in the Boiling Isles because TOH tells its audience that where you start isn't where you should always stay. Find your place and find your people. And when you do, hold it dear and never let go. "Us weirdos have to stick together."

HAPPY 10th ANNIVERSARY TO GRAVITY FALLS!
Back in Oct. 2018, my project for inktober was at least one pic from every episode.  Because of the pace, there were restrictions; I did each on a post-it note, limited coloring, and chose things that would fit the square format and that I could get done in time (between working full-time and owl-banding most nights).  I always sort of wanted to redo a bunch of those; but really, what occasion would merit putting in THAT much time and effort for a project of that size?
Well, how about for the 10th anniversary of the premiere of Gravity Falls?
I’m not saying this was a *smart* project to tackle, but I thought it might be “easier” because I had first drafts of most of the pieces; I just wanted to redo them so they’d look better, with 4 more years of practice under my belt and a new move to digital art.  (Narrator: it was not really easier.)  Some I redid completely, or did new to create the full sets above.  Basically, once I’d hit on this idea, and decided to link it to the refrain of “How Far We’ve Come”, I was committed; there was no way I was going to *not* try to do it.
I know that “How Far We’ve Come” gets fanvidded for eight billion different shows.  But, the first time I heard the song was in one of the first Gravity Falls fanvids I ever watched (link  below), so it will always be a GF song for me.
Gravity Falls has meant a lot to me for the past 6 years that I’ve been active in the fandom.  I have no doubt it will always have a big place in my heart. I’m definitely not done with things I’d like to do for it.  I’m so glad to see people coming together to celebrate this big anniversary!
ALSO: needless to say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Stan and Ford!

ok last thing i SWEAR im gonna shut up after this but i just wanted to post michael rianda's outline for the jack kerouac wendy episode that i mentioned. it definitely needed a lot of work but i do like it in concept. image ID/transcript below the cut (warning it's LONG)
[image 1 ID: a screenshot of a tweet from michael rianda. it reads: "I Found a Lost Wendy Episode of Gravity Falls! We were always trying to crack a Wendy episode. This was my favorite. I love the teenage feel of wanderlust + getting excited about reading "On the Road." I love the backstory and flaw. It didn't work but I always liked it." end image 1 ID.]
[image 2 ID: a screenshot of michael rianda's outline. from here i will simply transcribe what he has written, only fixing typos that interrupt screen readers.
Episode 3. Wendy's "On the Road" This is the first in a series I did where I wanted to get to know a character better, and I started with that desire, and followed it through.
Cold Open: A woman answers a phone at a Wal-Mart type superstore place. Wendy's on the other end with Dipper and Mabel. She asks to be transferred to extension 234. Extension 234 connects them to the stores loudspeaker speakerphone. Wendy starts making joke announcements over the loudspeaker: Wendy: "Clean up to aisle 6, customers seem to be projectile vomiting all over eachother." Mabel and Dipper are laughing hysterically. The woman can't hang up on Wendy so she calls the cops. Wendy's still going. Soos asks if she could get in trouble for it. Wendy brushes him off. Then the cops show up. Stan sees Wendy arrested and swells with pride- "she HAS been learning from me (quietly weeps) I'm so proud."
Act One: Open on Manly Dan... by his age it must be the past- he teaches his boys to chop wood and they're all struggling. A huge tree drops in the distance. When the dust clears... it's little Wendy. He tells her to climb aboard his shoulders my little axechild! They happily gallop off. They love each other. It's very sweet. Cut to present day: A confrontational Manly Dan is bawling Wendy out for getting in trouble for the prank phone call. He tells her not to be so impulsive and do the first thing that pops into her head. Wendy insists Manly Dan is the most impulsive person she knows, besides the cops left her off with a warning. She brushes it off by saying she has to go to work.
B story. (Not sure what)
Wendy's reading On the Road at work. She's getting progressively more pumped about this book. Mabel asks what it's about. She explains it all and the kids are pumped. They're swept up in this romanticized teenage vision of hitchhiking on the open road. Stan has to leave for some secret portal reason and Wendy's like: "Let's do this right now!" (Secretly she just doesn't want to go home and deal with her dad.) "Let's do it let's just hitch hike. Leave town! Start a new life! Like Jack Kerouac!" Mabel is enamored.
End image 2 ID.]
[Image 3 ID: picking up from the transcript of the previous image:
Soos is wary of leaving the shop at first. But Wendy talks them into it. A couple of her friends come. Lee, Nate, Thompson, and Tambry. They get on the road and are immediately having fun. Things are looking up. Soos is worried. Wendy: "Easy Soos, we're in Oregon... it's just going to be a bunch of nice hippies..." Cut to a terrifying crazy red eyed driver without a face driving towards them. Act break.
Act Two: Wendy and Co are having fun just like you should on a road trip/vagabond adventure. They're stopping at mini-marts and getting lame snow globes- and making fun of them. Things are looking good. It's like a road movie. They all relate to each other about problems with their parents. Wendy doesn't say much but she has a flashback to her and her dad drifting apart.
Stan B Story.
The scary faceless driver comes by and offers them a ride. (they can't see his ghoulish faceless self) Wendy immediately says yes before anyone else can decide. People are like "I don't want to go hitch-hiking." "Wendy: It'll be fine! Come on- this is the adventure of our lives. People in those stories never said, no I'm scared." She makes them all go in. It's creepy and tense in the car. Eventually the guy reveals himself to be a horrifying ghoul face and locks the doors. They all go screaming into the distance.
Act Three: He takes them to the "End of the Road" Diner. Or you hang a lampshade on it and have it be Bob's Big Boy but with a David Lynch head on the outside. There are other people that get taken there and stay forever and are sort of these lost souls that are stuck there. From all different eras. It's like this terrifying Lynch-ian dark version of an idyllic road trip stop. Basically it's a Lynch parody fest with Soos and Mabel. Like these little creepy old couple are walking in fast motion out of a wall and Soos is pushing them back in. "Whadda you doin grandma and grandpa... get outta that mouse hole. Get back in that mouse hole you goofs." (Probably too insane) Anyway, everyone wants them to have "the special" and after you eat the special, you stay there forever. Wendy's really guilty that all this is her fault.
End image 3 ID.]
[Image 4 ID: the last of the transcript:
Wendy wants to impulsively react, but remembers her dad. She thinks carefully what to do and comes up with a plan- and chops down a tree on the driver. They all come home- relieved to be back in Gravity Falls, and her dad is chopping wood in the back- he's still mad at Wendy.
Wendy: Hey... Dad? Manly Dan: (grunts) Wendy: Can I chop some wood with you? Manly Dan just nods and waves her off. They fell the tree. Manly Dan: Haha! That's my little axechild! Wendy smiles and keeps chopping.
Something like that- obviously a lot of variables to be figured out- but I love the teenage feeling of this and love that it gives Wendy a story and a flaw. Still needs work to make her better but it's a start.
End image ID.]

Okay, soo like I have at least 6 story ideas in my drafts, but they're gonna take forever to finish, and I feel I haven't posted much of anything for the few followers that I have, so here is (for once) a short drabble!~
I see these all the time, and my mind is just stuffed with this mochi man, so I gotta relieve some pressure!~ These are gonna be all over the place with how I think things about him are.~ Enjoy!~
<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆
🍩 I feel that sometimes people display Katakuri as so serious, mister grouchy grr grr all the time, but that's just because we mainly saw him when the Strawhat were literally being terrorists. Like, remember how blushy he got with Brulee after his fight?? (Refer to picture at top) This man is literally a softie inside and out with people he's comfortable with!~
🍩 If the incident with Brulee getting hurt as a child bc of him never happened, he'd be so silly with Daifuku and Oven!~
🍩 Like, he'd still be the most serious one, but they'd basically be like Luffy, Zoro and Sanji, haha!~ (I'm literally feral for fanart of those three doing silly shit together!~ 😭)
🍩 Cue Katakuri and Daifuku fighting 24/7 over stupid shit while Oven laughs on the side, and then Daifuku and Oven bantering like children while Katakuri just disassociates beside them.
🍩 I just imagined Katakuri in that tiny shirt Zoro had on in Water 7 while carrying all his little siblings, HELP-
🍩 This isn't a head canon but the one cover art of Katakuri finding out Luffy's the 5th Emperor and him laughing at it while eating donuts with Brulee and Cracker kills me everyday!~ 🥰 He looks so happy and relaxed with them, and his laugh is "BAHAHAHAHA"!!
🍩That cover art just proves he's the sweetest thing!~ He would TOTALLY fall into Strawhat shenanigans if he meets up with the crew again now that Big Mom is gone!~ Kind of like how Zoro is after the time Skip, reserved but still indulges from time to time.
🍩 On the Big Mom being gone note, he is definitely the new captain of the Big Mom Pirates, which he'd probably rename to the Charlotte Pirates or something to get away from Linlin's shadow.
🍩 I can just see Perospero coming home from Wano, all pissed and aggravated from being punched around like nothing by everybody there, yelling at his siblings to do things.
🍩They all just stare, blank faced, at him before pointing to Katakuri running things saying he's the new captain.
🍩 Peros would be livid, going on about how he's the oldest and how he almost DIED fighting alongside Mama in Wano.
🍩 And all of them are like, "Too bad, so sad, Big Brother Katakuri is better. Skill issue, ig- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" And list all the healthy things he's been doing for the islands and family while Peros was gone.
🍩 Katakuri is standing right there, a little flustered at the open compliments, trying to tell them to at least give Peros a chance, but Peros is over it.
🍩 Bro just storms out, claiming he don't want the job no more! Petty af for a few days, grumbling about inefficiencies and punishments for stuff done wrong.
🍩 And Katakuri just shakes his head and says they don't do that anymore because it was hurting someone in the family.
🍩 Eventually, Peros sees all the things he's trying to change not just for the crew, but for how their entire family acts and lives.
🍩 They agree to co-captain just so Katakuri isn't left yet again with everything on his shoulders.
🍩 Katakuri's still busy but his siblings try harder to make him take more breaks, especially Brulee and Cracker.
🍩 It would take a while until he relents, kind of acting like Squidward in that one episode where he keeps coming back to the Krusty Krab thinking SpongeBob is gonna fuck everything up, haha!
🍩 It's not that he doesn't trust his siblings and their capabilities, he's just not used to NOT being needed to hold everything together.
🍩 Once he's relaxed in that aspect, I think he'd slowly come out of his shell and start to go out without his scarf.
🍩 At first it's just in his home, which freaks out his staff into thinking they're gonna die by seeing his full face, and then with some hyping from Brulee, he starts going out without it.
🍩He is absolutely a nervous WRECK walking around feeling so bare without it but the townspeople love him so much and say how handsome he is and how COOL his teeth are that he almost CRIES-
🍩 Like, you can't change my mind on this sappy thought bc remember how the people on Pudding's island were when she went back after the wedding to make the cake?? You can't tell me everyone living in Tottoland doesn't ADORE Katakuri, the man who is always protecting them and kept Big Mom in check the best he could all these years!!
🍩 It's so cute how he tries to pull up a scarf that isn't there when he's trying to hide an emotion, and when he realizes what he did it only makes him flustered! ☺️
🍩 Flampe is disgruntled, maybe even still let down, at this development and tries to trash talk him to her siblings, but for once everyone is like "Shut up, little girl, you're literally slandering your brother who loves you very much, wtf?" And she just shuts down!
🍩 I NEED to believe that Brulee like slapped or punished Flampe somehow when she heard all the things she did and said to Katakuri when he took off his scarf during his fight w/ Luffy! 🙏
🍩 Katakuri isn't mad or anything, just hurt, and tells Flampe that he hopes she can love him again, and finally gives her the pets she wanted but doesn't deserve and that makes her little less bratty
🍩 Katakuri's newfound courage to walk about without his scarf leads to Pudding being less ashamed about her third eye, and MAYBE she starts acting like her normal self with a hint of sadism here and there.
🍩 Secretly, Katakuri fiends for ANY new info on Luffy and his crew, talking about them with Brulee who is the only one willing to listen to his fanboy ass.
🍩 When it's revealed that Big Mom was defeated in Wano, he still thanks Luffy for it even though Kidd and Law are the ones that actually took her down.
🍩 It was a Luffy domino effect, so it counts as a Luffy win, trust 👍
🍩 Obviously, he keeps the black hat that Luffy left on him after his fight, and can't help but laugh every time he sees it sitting on his desk. It's a joy boy affect 🥺
🍩 I know Film Red isn't canon, but I can just imagine the aftermath of that with Brulee now being taken with Sanji like Pudding, and those two just gushing over the Strawhat cook to a disgruntled Katakuri who doesn't like the way they talk about the skirt chasing blonde.
🍩 Mochi man holds some respect for Sanji too since he heard how he refused to poison the cake he helped Pudding make for Mama during her hunger rampage. He saved his sibling's lives and much of their territory from being destroyed.
🍩 Still didn't stop him from rolling his eyes at every squeal over his chivalrous words and actions-
🍩 With Katakuri as the new captain, the Charlotte family actually starts healing and acting like a true family over time.
🍩 Katakuri makes sure that the youngest siblings don't grow up with the same traumas all of them grew up with, reassuring them in their appearances and abilities when he can.
🍩 He's an irredeemable villain to you, but he's my special little princess mochi man 🥰
<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆<コ:彡ミ☆
That's all of my random thoughts and ideas for Katakuri and his family!~ I see why people do this, it's fun to just type what comes to mind and not have to make sure it's sensible in a story, haha!~ I might do one for him again but him with an S/O.~ Maybe him and a few other of my favorites.~
There's not enough for him, I swear I've read everything everywhere already, so now I must make everything I want myself.~ It's a curse to always like side characters that are shown to have depth but aren't given the screen time to explore it!~
Ugh, anyways, see you next time, dearies, I appreciate any feedback and interaction!~ Mwah mwah!~

Emily's New Single
So I posted lyrics for this a few days ago, but I didn't really do any analysis. So, here goes. This won't be long. Just wanted to point out some Bethyl images and vibes from the lyrics. We're also side-eying the timing of this new single. Having it come out now, just before Fear and Dead City begin, and not long before the Daryl spinoff, could be important in terms of putting Emily front and center in people's minds.
Before I get to the lyrics, it's also important to point out that images around the single, both the official ones and the ones she's using to promote, are suspicious. (Images posted below, throughout my post.) Three of them have to do with water. In one, she's floating in a pool. In the other two, she's looking through a glass of water, which distorts the image of her eye.
Tumblr media
SOO many TD things we can read into that. Water. The eye/seeing theme. And then the fact that it's blurry and distorted, just as Beth's arc and "death" at Grady were.
Finally, she used a picture of her on the red carpet at the TWD live event several months ago to promote. Why would she use a TWD image to promote her new single...if they have nothing to do with one another?
Just saying.
Said I've been walkin’ round your dreams We’re two spies at a party Two lovers with a mission Wish I could see the same vision Wish I could walk around your brain space Wish you would come back over to my place Mm mm mm mmmm Mm mm mm mmmm
So, just in general, I would say that Beth is definitely walkin' round Daryl's dreams and filling up his brain space. We've shown how the writers have subtly portrayed that over the seasons.
Tumblr media
[Verse 2] Said I’ve been walkin’ round your dreams The magic spells must be workin’ I put the crystals in the backyard Lit a candle and prayed hard That I could live inside your brain space That you would come back over to my place Mm mm mm mmmm Mm mm mm mmmm
Norman famously called Beth Daryl's little candle or light in the darkness.
[Bridge] Sea of dreams Bits and pieces But still it eases me to see your home Last I heard, it was Nashville You leave out details, but I still feel the same And every word that you’re sayin' to me Is stickin' to me like the sunscreen Soaked to the bone in the secrets I keep I lay on the floor, I fall fast asleep Ice cold in the air conditioning Mm mm mm mmmm Mm mm mm mmmm
Tumblr media
The "sea" and "home" references stick out to me here. And the idea that every word she said is totally ingrained in his memory (stickin' to me like the sunscreen). It also talks about secrets.
Even the "air conditioning" could be a water reference. We've seen water references in the show that take that format.
[Verse 3] I think I saw you in my dreams You washed your hands at the kitchen sink You took your shoes off by the door We both let our clothes fall to the floor You left my whole body sore When you comin’ back for more? When you comin’ back for more? Mm mm mm mmmm Mm mm mm mmmm
Tumblr media
For some reason, the "washed your hands at the kitchen sink" made me think of the scene in Ghosts where Carol has the dream of Daryl cooking breakfast in the kitchen. I know he doesn't actually wash his hands, and I have that episode on the brain because I re-watched it recently, but it's what I thought of.
Finally, there's the finale line. I know it's something of a sexual innuendo, but it still talks of "coming back" for more.
That's pretty much it. Of course we have no proof that Emily wrote this with Bethyl in mind, but it's possible, and when I first listened to her single, it immediately gave me Bethyl vibes.
Does anyone see anything I missed?

Your BFDI human designs are soo good!!! What's your process on designing them? :3 Also, what inspirations do you use for them?? Just curious!!
Okay long answer so everything is gonna be undercut! Thanks for asking btw!
One reason my humanizations take forever is because I really wanna make sure I understand that character, so I have a design that I think fits for them. It’s different from humanizing Pokemon characters because typically your making your own personality for your Pokemon humanization in the process. (Unless your humanizing your Nuzlock or Pokemon OCs, then that’s different but you get what I mean)
I’m was already pretty hardcore into humanizing, or furrify, characters prior getting into object shows so this is really nothing new! I mainly did My Little Pony humanizations for a fanseries that most likely is never seeing the light of day, and I had alot of fun doing that!
When looking at other people who have done humanizations, the ones I always remember were the ones where they dresses like normal people, like people you see on the street, and had exclusively natural haircolors. Like take BixelWixels MLP humanizations. No bright hair colors but still readable as the character! I think those are shows of super good character design.
I knew right when I got into BFDI though, the Algebraliens would be the only ones with bright colored hair. While the contestants they would have exclusively natural hair colors, with exceptions. (Ex: Puffball, Tree, etc).
I really try to understand and study the characters before I finalize a design for them! Trust me so much writing and scrapping goes on behind scenes. For some characters, I had an idea for immediately and ran with it. Others, I had to do so much research for it. Some research included reading fanfics and me annotating them so I could deem if it was in character or not and rewatching episodes a ridiculous amount of times. Once I finish that we can finally get to designing!
So first I refer back to a master sheet which has my race and age head canon for them. Usually it will stay the same as the chart but sometimes a friend can convince me to change it or I changed my mind about things on the list. I won’t show the full list but here’s where the character were using today (Clock :33) was in!

Also has a show of how much changes, I believe my original head canon for them said he was Wasian so things can always change!
Now let’s take a look at my first ever concept for Clock
Tumblr media
At this at this point Clock was really young? I believe if my memory serves me correct in this concept Clock was 17. Also he would have worn a see threw shirt so you could see his cool arms.
I really struggled with Clock design but I had a cool idea for his arms to actually look like clock arms kinda and I ran with it so hard. Although I did get the inspiration to make him blasian after taking some inspi from the Timekeeper cookies in cookie run and I thought hey maybe locs could somehow resemble clock arms??
So we got to the sketching finalization stage and again things are going to change!
Tumblr media
Since that concept he’s 23 now! Um my sketches are messy so sorry! I messed around with his clothing more to the point we got to the this and I must say I am quire endeared by his design and in the process I’ve grown to have a really nice fondness for Clock! I like him alot actually!
Tumblr media
One word of advice is, don’t follow what everyone else does just because everyone does it their’s so many cool ways to interpret things. Like show don’t tell and what not! Personally I like to not look at other humanizations for inspo while concepting them usually because I wanna make sure I’m not being to heavily influenced by anything. As far as I’m aware I’ve never seen a Clock design with locs. (If you have one PLEASE DM ME I WANNA SEE) Just have fun with it at the end of the day!
I’ll ramble about clock’s design in a second when I post him

Moving on to season 2 of my attempt to go into Gravity Falls blind and solve all the secrets. I'm making a new post because posts have a 30 image limit and my season 1 post was at 25.
Before I start on season 2 itself, there's the stuff from between seasons. The torrent I downloaded for season two came with a folder containing a ton of extra shortform content that was included during tv marathons or as DVD extras. After some careful googling, I managed to find five series of shorts that definitely aired between season 1 ending and season 2 beginning. Namely, that's Dipper's Guide, Mabel's Guide, Fixing it with Soos, the TV shorts, and Mabel's scrapbook. Of these only Dipper's Guide had secrets, but boy did it have a bundle.
Tumblr media
The end of each of the six videos had a quick snippet of a journal page. When you combine them all together they form the image above, of a crossed out eye. The text along the bottom of the image can be translated with the caeser cipher to read "From the first until the last search the codes of credits past. One means one so search them all, welcome to gravity falls." That's a clue to the numbers in red written on the page, which are a book cipher. The numbers next to parentheses represent the episode, and the numbers after that represent that specific letter of the end credits message from that episode. When translated the number code says "I was so blind he lied to me. The darkness is near."
Tumblr media
Now we move on to season 2. During the episodes there's plenty of secret codes, like the ones written above, which are deciphered with either the atbash or caeser codes. These are simple at this point, but it does get harder.
Tumblr media
The first episode has a character named Agent Powers who I immediately recognized as being voiced by Nick Offerman, but in the credits the actor is listed as being Key Vigenere instead. That's the name of a key-based encryption method, which was fresh in my mind because it was mentioned in an issue of Lumberjanes I just read. Off topic but I flipped out reading that issue, because a young trans woman sees a coded message and automatically starts running through different decryption methods to solve them, and if that ain't me then I don't know what is.
Tumblr media
As expected, the end credits of that episode can't be solved with the caeser and/or atbash ciphers. Given the clue the show just gave about it being a key vinegere encryption, that would be the obvious next step to try, but I can't do that without the key. I thought that maybe Agent Powers was the key, or simply Agent or Powers, and I even tried Nick Offerman, but nothing worked. With no clue what the key could be, I had to move on for now, but I wasn't done with the episode yet.
Tumblr media
After the end credits there was a shot of another journal page, which contained a number code. Trying the a1z26 cipher didn't translate it, but when I tried the method of doing that, than the atbash, and then shifting back 3 (which was the same method used for the final credits message from season 1) then it translated to "The man downstairs is very clever. Can he hide his plans forever?" which refers to Stan's secret experiment in the basement.
Tumblr media
Moving on to episode 2, I noticed something important. On the barrel there's an image of a key above the word "shifter." When I saw that, two things occured to me. One was that that's the key to the vinegere cipher, and the other was that I saw almost the exact same thing in the first episode, when there was a key and the word "widdle" carved into the wall of Li'l Gideon's prison cell. So it seems like the key to each episode's vinegere cipher is hidden within the episode itself, and boy do I hate that.
So with the key to the first two episodes discovered, I went to work deciphering the end credits messages. The way vinegere ciphers work is that each letter of the original message is shifted like in a caeser cipher, but instead of each letter being shifted the same amount they're shifted according to the corresponding letter in the key. The amount you shift is however many it would take to turn the letter "A" into the letter from the key. So if the corresponding message in the key is "A" you wouldn't shift the letter in the message at all, if it were "B" you would shift it by one, if it's "C" then shift it two, etc. It also took me an embarrassing amount of time to remember that when you're decoding a vinegere cipher you have to go backwards to figure out the original letter, which threw me off for a while. Once again the actual content of these messages ("Welcome back" and "What kind of disaster indeed") don't really matter all that much, it's the act of cracking the codes that's important for now
Tumblr media
The second episode also had a post-credits journal fragment, as do the next two episodes that I've seen. Unlike the messages in the credits I will be screenshotting and uploading these for two reasons. One reason is that there's a chance that these will combine into a larger picture like the fragments from the Dipper's Guide series, and the other reason is that some of these messages seem to be more important than just being jokes or references about the episodes.
I also didn't take an accompanying screenshot, but in my notes I have the message "Put all six pieces togethsr [six]" which was from another coded message.
Tumblr media
Now we move on to episode 3. Finding the key in this episode was a pain, and I had to rewatch the whole episode with the brightness cranked up to find it. This journal fragment reads "Old man sleeping on the green / Can't help but wonder what he's seen." During the episode Old Man Macgucket was sleeping on the minigolf course. He's constantly been straddling the line between just being comic relief and seeming like he's actually important, and this is hinting at the latter.
Tumblr media
I watched through episode four twice, but still didn't see the key. Instead I found this frame. When you translate the book using atbash, it says "pure energy, not skin and bone rising like the shepard tone." Again, I don't know that that means but it sounds ominous. But on the list of codes you have four words. When you use the caeser cipher, the first three turn into the keys from the first three episodes. Presumably the fourth (Bearo, the name of Mabel's teddy bear from the Dipper's Guide series) would be the key for the fourth episode, right? No, it doesn't work. I still haven't figured out the key for this episode and don't feel like watching the episode a third time looking for it. The post credits message is an ominous poem apparently written by Bill Cipher.

hello! i've been seeing soo much of my favorite artists get into redacted audio and i just wanted to know where can i start listening or what character should be a good start for me to get into redacted?? i've been wanting to listen to him but idk where to start! thank u 😊
Hello friend! I've answered this before but I'll go ahead and do it again since my answer has changed just a little teeny tiny bit
I would recommend Freelancer Season 1 to start! There are a lot of posts on this website about everyone's recommendations, but I'd say probably Freelancer Season 1 because the main listener character is also just as new to the rest of the shared universe as a new audience member, and gets the basics of the mechanics explained pretty well.
Normally I'd also recommend Sovereign State Season 1 as a good starter too, but its finale episode(s) need a lot of context to really have the proper impact...
Unless of course you have plenty of time and don't mind a lot of information being dumped on you. In which case I recommend grabbing the "Everything" playlist! It's every narrative video he's made in the order of release, so the exposition is in the order that he gave it in. Which, honestly, can be very helpful, because watching things out of order can be confusing because some information will be casually mentioned like it's common knowledge while you're sitting there confused like "Wat?!" because that exposition was in a different series
But if the "Everything" playlist seems too long and daunting, character playlists for David, Asher, Milo, and Vincent (before the Inversion series) are a little easier to digest.
Also an important thing to note: everything is connected. Even if you don't think a certain storyline is connected to the rest of the universe for [reasons] when you first listen to it, I guarantee you, it's connected in some way.
Redacted also has a website with an official timeline but I don't recommend reading it until you've watched most (if not all) of the videos because reading a timeline is honestly more overwhelming and a lot less fun and interesting than just listening to the videos. Go to the timeline afterward for specific dates if you need them.
Also bear in mind that he deals with some heavy subjects sometimes and applicable content warnings will always be in the YouTube video description. If you're more sensitive to certain subjects, read the descriptions and make a judgment call from there. If you can handle pretty much anything, that's more than fine, but if not, this is your friendly advice from me to keep an eye on the video descriptions for any subjects you'd rather not hear about
I love the Imperium AU and Inversion but they can be too dark for some people and that's okay
I'm not trying to scare you off, I promise. I love this channel and its stories dearly and could not recommend his storytelling more highly. I just want you to be aware that heavy subjects can pop up
Redacted is an adult and writes stories mostly about adults, so mature topics and "spice" (as a euphemism) will pop up alongside the aforementioned "heavy" subjects
Another thing: trust in Redacted's storytelling. If something seems "bad," it is most definitely there to serve a greater purpose later down the line. Trust that he's going to service his story and the things that you may not like will lead to something so satisfying when its time comes
Anyway. TL;DR, start with either the "Everything" playlist and go in order of release for the "true experience" of having a seemingly random barrage of characters thrown your way, or start with Freelancer Season 1 for a decent rundown of the universe's rules and mechanics and magic system
Don't do what I did. Which was hop around randomly, cherry picking whomever's "title" seemed the most interesting at the time until I'd heard the whole channel and had to go relisten to things in some semblance of the right order in order to figure out wtf was going on. I ended up watching Elliott's playlist as the first playlist I watched and let me tell you, I was confused as hell. Don't do that. Freelancer Season 1, and the "Everything" playlist are my top recommendations for understanding the lore in the order it was released so you need fewer context clues on wtf is going on

Link Click and SG connected? part 2 - spoilers + I rant a lot
Ok, so now that I have finally watched the last episode, I can return to my previous post and elaborate more after getting all that info. Ok so now I know that CHX is ok but we know that LQ somehow saw LG watching CHX die which ofc shed find weird because he made out it- But nono you see I think we fans can agree on that Li Tianxis ability was accurate and she was able to see LG basically time travelling to save his bff. Yet we actually still dont know how many times LG travelled to that moment and if he ever did it before events of S2 and possibly s1 BECAUSE LG WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY ONE TO KNOW... that is until this time because LT saw, but she died, and idk how she gave that info (among others) to LQ. But we also dont know what LQ knows now. So my theory is that yes it wasn't just this time with QJ (thank god he's in jail btw that fight was intense). So either way, everything I said in my previous post makes sense. Now I just know LQ knows, too, and even more than us prob. Is this gonna get tackled in next season? well idk but i dont think shes gonna say anything - shes still shaken with that info dump (kinda reminds me of how Sigma got infor on Fyo in BSD AHAHHAHAHA fucking pararells are insane).
One more thing, there's one more evidence that LG travelled multiple times. HIS EYES LOOK SOO DEAD LIKE THOSE ARE EYES OF DEAD MAN OR MAN WHO HAVE SEEN A LOT - mainly his bestie to die so many times. I really, really wonder how he's able to reverse, but Ig that comes with knowledge of events... Btw if you think why my connection with SG still holds - remember Link click is still not over. We got a new hat guy who's brother of that awful blonde guy from s1 and now brother LT joined him. He also has some weird tattoo so he's part of some organization - prob people with abilities who can influence time or sth and he wants to change time. Our gang aka phot studio dont anf they are certainly gonna come face to face to this guy WHICH MEANS THAT LG IS GONNA HAVE HIS MOMENT WHERE HED HAVE TO MAKE SOME CHOICE -and that choice may be either to save CHX or not but either way hed loose just like Okabe at the end of SG. Still, I trust devs and I know that CHX is our MC obv and CHX is gonna have to learn about time travel and would also have to choose to do sth. AAA I really cant wait for the next season(s) and hopefully we get flashbacks on how these two boys met (and i hope for that aborad trip they took in the past like STH HAPPENED THERE).
Anyway... its been a while since I ranted about sth like this but time travel stories are my passion and they are so fun to talk about. If you have any insights or noticed sth I missed (Im only human I could overlook sth because a lot happened there) pls dont be shy to comment. I'd like to get corrected lol. Peace out for now lol

Hi <3
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about "Gravitational Pull"? Answer it now!
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about "Who Holds the Devil"? Answer it now!
8. What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?
I hope you are okay and have a lovely day/night <3
Hi! 💜
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about "Gravitational Pull"? Answer it now!
I honestly have no idea. But to avoid this being the most boring answer to a question ever, I guess I can explain that Gravitational Pull was only meant to be a stand-alone fic at first but, as time passed, I realised how tempting it was to keep going with a series of connected "What if" fics where I basically wreck the canon.
Apparently, making Yo Han and Ga On kiss in episode 13 can throw everything out of whack if you want it to.
There will be five fics in total if my plan holds up (fingers crossed?) and will basically feature the rest of episodes 13-16 of the drama. Except each fic will have one, big "What if" scenario slapped onto it which will change the events considerably. And, obviously, also change the events that will take place in the coming instalments.
I'll basically be pushing a bigger and bigger snowball of canon divergences as I move along until I eventually reach the end. And who knows what that ending will entail?
(Why am I doing this again?)
Anyway, in the next one, the "What if" scenario is: "What if Ga On gets shot instead of Soo Hyun?" and the one after that is: "What if Ga On can derail Kim Choong Sik's execution without telling everyone that the Live Court Show is fake?" and so on and so forth.
And they will be posted as separate fics, not additional chapters to Gravitational Pull, since they will all have slightly different themes and focus. It just felt more reasonable from a narrative and storytelling standpoint to post them separately.
And, naturally, the one I look forward to writing the most is the fifth one — because fuck my life x'D
5. What do you wish someone would ask you about "Who Holds the Devil"? Answer it now!
This is just as difficult as the first one, if not more so because, uh, there's a lot to talk about when it comes to Who Holds the Devil. But a lot of it I say in my author's notes already so it's kind of hard to pinpoint something I haven't already said xD
But here's a fun fact: The most difficult chapter to write so far was Chapter 1. There have been difficult chapters since then, especially those that are emotionally heavy or, more recently, demand a certain level of suspense, but none were as difficult as that first one. Partly because I had to restructure it three times before I got it right. The very first draft actually jumped straight to Ga On getting the text from Elijah but I realised that didn't give it enough impact, so I basically rewrote the entire thing two times until I was satisfied.
And, admittedly, it also took me a while to get Ga On's voice right. Or, rather, to let myself write him the way I instinctively tried to do but my brain kept second-guessing. Partly because he was a new character to me (which is always daunting) but also because the style is a little different from how I usually write. My writing is always pretty descriptive, but Ga On takes it to a whole new level x'D Especially where emotions and impressions are concerned. It's all very visceral and that threw me for a second. Not to mention that a lot of it seems to rely on repetition, which most people are taught is a bad way to write. So there was a lot to get used to.
And, quite honestly, I almost stopped writing the DAY after I had started x'D I felt so out of depth and everything was new and strange and I was so nervous about writing a story set in a country and culture I don't actually know (that still makes me panic every now and then) and... yeah. Just a lot of anxiety there at the beginning.
Thankfully, a lot of it has settled by now and I feel a lot more confident about both the writing itself and my characterisation. And that's no doubt why the first chapter will always be the most difficult one I had to write, since it was the one that gave me the most anxiety.
The second most difficult chapter to write was Chapter 23, because I was injured and also couldn't decide on what I was actually writing so the chapter became an unstructured, unstable mess and I almost had to completely rewrite it. And the third most difficult was Chapter 25 because of the sheer level of pain, anxiety, and grief Ga On goes through. The fact that my grandad died while I was working on it definitely didn't help, either.
8. What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?
I'm so bad at this question that soon I'm going to have to start picking obscure Swedish songs that the majority of you won't understand and just hope you don't call me out on the weird choice xD
Anyway, jokes aside. I answered this question in this ask but, if I have to pick another song, I'll go with There's a Rock by Brolle (or Brolle Jr as he was going by at the time). It's a duet he sings with Frida Snell and I was reminded of how much I love it two weeks ago.
So I'm picking that, not necessarily because it has the most spot-on lyrics, but because it's a song I genuinely love.
(Fun fact: My big sister went to the same high school (-ish, the school system is different in Sweden) as Brolle but he graduated the year before she got there. So her only claim to fame is that she stole his chair when she visited the school for an open house/school tour before actually applying for it)

I wonder what it says about a person* when their COMFORT ‘Go-To-When-Feeling-Shitty’ show is a fucking post-apocalyptic drama series that rips your heart out every fucking week and leaves you in shambles and sobbing on the floor for five (six in 24 hours) weeks straight! (Probably a field day for therapists!)
-
-
* me, A PERSON is me
Tumblr media
I did NOT expect this. NOT ONE FUCKING BIT!
I mean, I very often trust my Twitter (and Tumblr) when it comes to new stuff, new shows, new films. And I very often check them out - not always when they come out, but often enough (especially when MY shows are on hiatus don’t have an airdate yet).
And the hype was/is HUGE. I do understand that. Taking something that’s so beloved is always tough to get right. So people will love it WHEN they do.
So yeah, I did see the promos and the tweets and since it’s one of the very few shows that are on SKY here at the same time as in the US, I was like, why the hell not.
Monday’s are my day off, so I didn’t think much when I hit ‘play’ on the first episode of The Last Of Us on it’s first day!!!
I knew shit about it, NEVER played the game, and never heard about it before the show started to gain buzz.
Watched the first episode and was like ‘okay, yeah, looks okay enough, maybe a TAD too close to home these days, but hey, we made it more or less so lets see how they fare’
Watched the second one. Did a rewatch of the first one to better understand it. Impressed with how it was made, and I knew I would be sticking with it  - if only because it was something to watch on Monday mornings/noons.
And then the third episode came out.
OH BOY!!
I had an INKLING, maybe like wishful thinking when Bill fished Frank out of the hole. But I’m also too traumatized by too many shows to have actual HOPE of a queer episode. I full on expected the usual: some looks, some touches, some ‘im not queer’ excuses when the person is clearly interested/horny.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! (And again, this all would give a therapist a fucking FIELD DAY with everyone!)
That was the most beautifully written/executed episode since ‘You wear fine things well’!!! I’ve lost count of the rewatches, and I will root for every fucking award show that episode will be nominated for (yes, the rest deserves some love as well but THIS ONE IS THE FUCKING PINNACLE OF EPISODES!)
After that I started listening to the podcasts going with the show. (I NEVER do that!)
E4 came out and I fell a little more in love with Ellie and Joel - I can’t even say what it was: his NEED to protect her, her softening up beside him…
I just knew it was soo different from what I expected from a show/pairing like that. Easier, maybe? Them opening up (sort of) to each other without all the usual tropes of prying it from their cold hearts and rigid souls?
And then Joel laughs. He tries soo very hard not to, but he can’t help himself. (Sidenote: I was curious as to how they translated that particular pun into German - they didn’t. They used a different one that (naturally) wasn’t as funny as the original one).
It’s dark, it’s scary, it’s not safe. And he lies there in the dark, giggling with all he has about a stupid PUN. Oh my heart (Hell, I'm grinning TYPING this, just thinking about it so yeah…)
Tumblr media
Safe to say: I was HOOKED!
(also: EYE CRINKLES. That man has laughed A LOT in his life, and it shows. I leave it up to you whether i mean Joel or Pedro!)
And then there was the sniper scene in E5!!!
ARGH!!! I don’t even know why, but I fucking LOVE that scene soooo freaking much!!!
Ellie, among all those Infected, KNOWING that Joel will have her back after only knowing him for a few days (?).
Joel, watching her like a hawk, not wasting ammunition and only taking out anyone that comes too close to HER!
Her BLIND trust that he watches over her and takes care of her.
His laser focus on HER, not caring what happens to him, the deep NEED to protect her.
GUH!!! If I could give out awards for spectacular SCENES, this 10, 15 minutes would get ALL THE FUCKING AWARDS!!!
So yeah. Now Im sitting here, on this grey, wet Sunday morning, about 14 hours away from episode 6, eagerly awaiting to get my heart ripped out AGAIN, typing away the things I feel about a fucking VIDEO GAME ADAPTATION SHOW!!!
*shakes head at self*
(That happens when MY shows go on hiatus - I fall in love with all the GREAT NEW SHIT that HBO puts out! Soo soo happy that they already got a second season so no need to worry about that! Still miffed that OFMD had to wait and worry for soo long. Ah well.)
And since it’s me, and I don’t do shit by halves, I'm also falling in love with the cast.
Yes, mainly with Pedro because DUH. Have you seen the man’s interviews? His SNL epicness? THAT SMILE??!?! I dare you NOT get all giggly and gooey when he starts cackling out of the blue about his own silly jokes! And I'm not even trying to resist, it's too damn late for that anyways! He's too fucking charming, and these days anything that brightens my days is very welcome!
The love and adoration he has for Bella is adorable. Their chemistry is insane. She’s soo young and yet so mature, and he treats her like an equal which is amazing.
And I can't wait to watch ALL THE INTERVIEWS running up to the show. I’ve got lots of catching up to do.
(I’ve also listened to a few podcasts already, and DAMN, he’s another DAMN GOOD EGG. Humble and funny, VERY down do Earth despite the (quiet) success he’s been having for YEARS now! I’ve been making a list with all the things I need to watch… and I’ve seen him in soo many things already. Just never really noticed. *sighs heavily*
Silly silly me!
POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
-
(Im also slightly [read: HORRIBLY SO] terrified because once you get into the show, you also get spoilers from the game -it’s unavoidable- and even though i do NOT know for sure (and won’t actively look for it) I fear for his fate. I KNOW they deviated before with Bill and Frank, and they may do it again with others, so I still have hopes, but the bits I’ve seen… well.
And i will prepare myself for the worst - just in case. Not that it’ll help much but I can lie to myself for as long as necessary.)
-
SPOILERS DONE!
So yeah.
You know the drill by now: New Obsession coming up.
Tags will be on posts so feel free to blacklist.
Or join in. It’ll be heartbreaking and terrifying, beautiful and shocking, and I cannot wait for the last 4 episodes to drop. We’re in for a damn wild ride, so buckle up!!!

Mouse (2021) Ep. 13 Recap
Tumblr media
Moo-Chi is analyzing the DNA result found on the weapon used to kill Kang Deok-Soo with confidence. Hong-Joo's team has gained a valuable asset in Bong-Yi, who is actively investigating the Suseong serial murder case. Bong-Yi and Ba-Reum have successfully identified a link between the Suseong serial murder cases and the Guryeong attempted murder case. Meanwhile, Moo-Chi is conducting a thorough investigation into one of the inmates' cases from Moojin Penitentiary.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
Moo-Chi informs Ba-Reum that the knife had someone else's blood on it, belonging to an inmate from the prison. Moo-Chi suspects that the culprit intentionally left the blood to mislead the officers from finding the real killer.
Hong-Joo offers Bong-Yi a job with her firm. Bong-Yi agrees to think about it. She becomes flustered when she hasn't heard from Yoo-Na and Ba-Reum shows up to reassure her. He hands over his phone with a video message. We then see the moments involving Ba-Reum holding the brick. He didn't kill Yoo-Na instead he dropped it after she agreed to keep things a secret between them. Yoo-Na explains everything to Bong-Yi in a voice message. She calls her brave and a hero, which encourages Bong-Yi to join Hong-Joo's team.
Meanwhile, Ba-Reum reunites with Daniel Lee, who reassures him that he would not have killed Yoo-Na despite his urges. Yo-Han's kind instincts are still fighting back inside his brain. Lee questions Ba-Reum's motives, and it is revealed that he wanted revenge on Deok-Soo. This explains why he took the knife from the evidence room and replaced it. Ba-Reum once again blames Yo-Han for his actions.
Ba-Reum was interrupted by a call from Moo-Chi, who had found a new dashcam on a bicycle - the same bicycle that was knocked off the road. The dashcam could have clues relating to Ba-Reum at the crime scene. Ba-Reum rushed to see Moo-Chi, and they both discovered that someone had taken the dashcam footage. Hong-Joo turned out to be the person who took the footage. She checked the footage and found a man in a raincoat standing under the tunnel. Ba-Reum is known to be the culprit, and now Bong-Yi seems to have figured it out too.
Both Bong-Yi and Moo-Chi head to the prison for further investigation. The reason for this is related to Jae-Shik, who shared a jail cell with Deok-Soo before his release. Jae-Shik's knife was used in the tragic Suseong Serial Murders, and he was blamed for it years ago. Moo-Chi interviews Jae-Shik, but Hong-Joo is already there. He pushed her aside and questioned Jae-Shik himself about a piece of fabric that Deok-Soo was wearing. It turned out that Deok-Soo had actually stolen it from Jae-Shik on the day of his release, which explains why he has it. Meanwhile, Bong-Yi is determined to uncover the truth about the Suseong Serial Murder Case. The culprit, who is currently in prison, is displaying genuine emotions, and there are doubts about whether he was coerced into confessing. Bong-Yi conducts extensive research on the internet and then asks Ba-Reum to show her the files in the evidence room.
She quickly makes some shocking discoveries. Two years ago, a killer ate an apple at the crime scene, which links to the Suseong Murders. One of the victims had traces of apple in her stomach. Bong-Yi clings to this evidence as she works with Ba-Reum to piece everything together.
Bong-Yi visits Jin-An, the only survivor frm this incident, to gather more information. Jin-An is the same woman briefly shown at the start of the episode. A mysterious man, who resembles Yo-Han, saved her. It is possible that he is the boxer and therefore the apple killer is also the seven deadly sins killer.
Bong-Yi brings her work to Hong-Joo who is impressed. Despite mounting evidence, the police initially refuse to reopen the case. However, the pressure eventually causes them to cave, especially when the story gains traction in the news. Sherlock Hong-Joo breaks down the case and all the inconsistencies with the evidence, including the culprit's age and hair. After the show, Moo-Chi arrives and speaks to Bong-Yi. Ba-Reum likes her a lot.
Hong-Joo receives a call regarding video evidence that can blow the Deok-Soo murder case wide open. This evidence is the dashcam footage from the bycicle.
Meanwhile, the police and prosecutors denied Hong-Joo and the gangs' accusations, confirming that there is no evidence linking the attempted case in Guryeong with the Suseong Serial murders.
The situation escalated when Jae-Shik was released from prison, and the focus shifted to Detective Ko. It is possible that Jae-Shik is the serial killer, but it could also be a smokescreen. The scene then cuts to Ba-Reum pinning his man to the ground in the fields. Bong-Yi checks the dashcam footage and confirms that Ba-Reum is the killer from that night. Moo-Chi investigates and rushes through the fields, shining a flashlight on Ba-Reum's location.

Here are some of the major (and minor but interesting) ‘Teen Mom’-related things that happened over the last few days...
Leah Messer Passed Her Real Estate Exams; Her Sister Victoria Says “In Your Face” to Leah’s Haters
Leah announced on Wednesday that she has officially passed both of the exams required to become a real estate agent in her home state.
Leah celebrated the achievement by posting a pic from one of her many, many professional photoshoots, captioning it with her achievements, which now include completing the Real Estate Salesperson Exam.
Tumblr media
Over the past few years, Leah has shared her desire to enter the real estate world, but during a 2022 episode of ‘Teen Mom 2,’ Leah attempted to take one of her required tests but was unable to, due to a “system flaw.” Leah was criticized months later for still not taking the test.
Last month, though, Leah told her Instagram followers that she had passed the state portion of her real estate exam, but still needed to pass the national portion of the test.
West Virginia requires that its real estate sales agents complete 90 hours of coursework before they can even take the exam. The four classes required are Real Estate Principles & Practices (30 hours); Real Estate Law (20 hours); Real Estate Finance (20 hours); and Real Estate Appraisal (20 hours). The applicant must score at least 70% or higher in each class in order to be eligible to take the exam.
Now that Leah has passed both the state and national portions of her exam, she has 90 days to apply for her real estate agent license.
Leah’s sister, Victoria Messer, took to Instagram on Wednesday to not only congratulate her sister but to also drag all of the nay-sayers who didn’t believe Leah would actually complete the task she set out to do. Victoria told the haters that she is very proud to say Leah, did, indeed, “finish through” her exams.
“This is for all you a**holes who like to troll the Internet and for the a**holes outside the Internet that liked to talk s**t and say she wouldn’t ever finish through with her real estate, y’all all just got smack in the face!” Victoria wrote in the caption of Leah’s “businesswoman” headshot. “As of today she has PASSED and she is now entering the real estate world!”
Victoria then seemed to get in a dig at Leah’s ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert, by implying that Leah takes care of their daughter, Addie, solo.
“Soo beyond proud of her for accomplishing this and taking care of her three girls and one child she takes care of all by herself and doing a damn good job! Keep going, keep shining, keep growing!! Love you infinity.”
Ashley Jones’ Mom, Tea Chapple, is Getting a Divorce
‘Teen Mom’ grandma Tea Chapple is getting back into the dating scene.
According to The Sun, the mom of Ashley Jones filed for divorce from her husband, Roosevelt Chapple, last week.
Tea has since gone on to confirm the news herself on social media.
“Many thought I would never do it but I love myself more… I filed for divorce,” she wrote on Facebook. “I thank Yah for the strength it took. Long overdue and thankful I’m escaping with my sanity and what’s left of my heart.”
As viewers saw on a recent episode of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,’ Tea told Ashley that she had also been “constantly fighting” with Ashley’s stepdad and was concerned about the impact it was having on Ashley’s younger sister Rosie.
According to court papers obtained by The Sun, Tea is requesting sole custody of the couple’s 11-year-old daughter Rosie. She is also asking for $512 a month in child support, and $300 a month in spousal support for the next four years. Tea stated that a visitation schedule for Rosie and Roosevelt has already been established.
Surprisingly, Shen Williams— the mother of Ashley’s husband Bar Smith, shared some kind words with Tea this week regarding her recent split.
“Prayers to her I been there,” she commented on the @TeenMomFanz‘ Instagram post about the divorce. “When I went thru it I took a beating publicly and I’m private. I would never wish this on anyone nor should they endure judgement. Prayers for her healing.”
Cory Wharton Wants to Have More Kids With His Girlfriend Taylor Selfridge
Cory says his baby-making days are far from over.
In a new interview with The Sun, the father of three revealed recently that he wants to have more children with girlfriend Taylor Selfridge, who made her return to ‘Teen Mom’ this season
“I definitely want another kid or two,” Cory revealed.
As fans of ‘Teen Mom’ (or The Challenge) already know, Cory and Taylor are parents to two daughters: three-year-old Mila and one-year-old Maya. Cory also shares six-year-old daughter Ryder with ex Cheyenne Floyd.
While Cory is currently living that #GirlDad life, he says he’s determined to father a son.
“I want a boy. You guys know I need my boy,” Cory said. “So it needs to happen.”
Cory seemed to insist that this need to father a son is partially due to Ryder recently telling him that she didn’t want to play sports and instead, wants to pursue singing and dancing.
“I said, ‘Oh my heart!’ But I’m going to support her no matter what,” he said.
While Cory plans to continue adding to the population in the near future, he doesn’t plan to put a ring on Taylor’s finger anytime soon.
“No, we’re good right now, but we got some things coming out in the future,” he said.
Former ‘Teen Mom 2’ Grandpa Eddie Rivera Has Remarried
Jo Rivera‘s pops is once again a married man.
The former ‘Teen Mom 2’ grandpa shared photos to Facebook over the weekend featuring he and his new bride at their wedding.
Tumblr media
(Jo nor his wife, Vee Torres, have posted any photos of the newlyweds’ nuptials to their own socials.)
According to the couple’s wedding website, Eddie married a woman named Ysabel, and the nuptials took place in Union, New Jersey, on Saturday, September 16.
Longtime fans of 16 and Pregnant and ‘Teen Mom 2’ may remember Eddie and then-wife, Janet Mantalvo, often appearing alongside Jo and Kail on the show. The couple’s other son, Junior Rivera, was also featured in early seasons.
Eddie and Janet divorced in the early 2010s. Janet has not remarried.

Queen of Ice | 09
Tumblr media
; Bodyguard!Jungkook x Princess!Reader
; Genre: Fluff
; Word Count: 3.3k
; Synopsis: Jeon Jungkook is the best water magic user of his generation, so it made sense that he was given the prestigious posting as a royal bodyguard. His position puts him close to you, the Crown Princess of Sejong and the only ice magic user in history. Jungkook is great at protecting you from danger, but not so much at protecting his own heart.
; A/N: Sorry for the delaaaay! Hopefully...this makes it up :3 please reblog and leave comments if you enjoyed it! And send me asks...I’m excited to see your responses to this episode 😏
; Previous - Next
Your coronation ceremony had been a quiet affair, something that hadn’t surprised Jungkook at all. Given that you weren’t a hugely popular person in the kingdom, in combination with the attack on you at your father’s funeral procession, no one had complained about you demanding a smaller ceremony. Jungkook had been all for it as well; it meant far less stress for him and the rest of the guard.
He’d now taken up his role as Captain of the Royal Guard officially, which meant the entire royal guard was under his purview. In turn, it also meant he was a lot busier with mundane things like tasking out training sessions alongside getting involved in recruitment, duty rosters, and organising the far-flung outposts.
It was frustrating and mind-numbingly boring, as it was everything Jungkook hated in his job. He wasn’t someone who liked to sit behind a desk with a quill in his hand and a mountain of paperwork. Even worse, his suddenly busy career meant that he’d been spending more time in the barracks than anything else.
Hoseok, Yoongi and Jisoo had picked up the slack as your personal guards, keeping you well protected inside the castle from any potential danger. Unfortunately, his position meant that he simply couldn’t spend as much time protecting you. Jungkook hated it, he hated all of this but he knew it was a huge honour for him as well.
You were entrusting your protection, and the protection of your kingdom, in his hands. It was a big task, and he was loath to make you regret putting that trust in him.
But he missed you.
Jungkook missed you so deeply, and he didn’t even understand it. You were his liege, the person who he had sworn to protect. But his chest aches when he thought of how long it had been since he’d been able to spend time with you, even if it was simply standing in the same room you were in.
It’s not the same kind of ache as when he thinks of Jimin, though. That makes it hard to breathe like his lungs want to stop working as the grief grips him tightly.
The way Jungkook misses you is a much sweeter pain that he’s not sure he’ll ever be able to properly stop, not in the way he’d like to anyway. If it was impossible between you both before, he can’t see even a crack of hope now. Not that it matters, you were too important for someone as lowly as him.
“Alright, Kyung-soo, I think we’re done here. Send out these orders via couriers immediately and put out a new call for recruits in the western region. Focus on the larger towns, they’re more likely to have people who are willing to sign up for the guard. We’re running low on electric users, so I’d try to focus on buffering that.” Kyung-soo, his chief recruitment officer, nodded in agreement before standing.
He gave a slight bow of his head before leaving, the stack of papers in his hands detailing all of his commands from Jungkook. From him, those orders would slowly spread out through the recruiting offices and Jungkook’s guard would find itself flush with new people who were willing to put their lives on the line to protect their queen and their kingdom.
If Jungkook was being honest, then he’d admit that he’d been putting off that task for a while now. The reason for that is that he’d been sequestered in his office in the barracks with Kyung-soo for a solid five hours now, and Jungkook’s head was starting to ache. He needed to take a break and get some water, but he also had a stack of papers next to him that needed to be sorted through.
Eastern border towns were suffering attacks from bandits, losing their crops and even their lives in some cases. Jungkook had to decide what to do to try and stop the attacks, and that meant reorganising the manpower in the eastern watch towers to allow guards to help without leaving the watchtowers themselves defenceless.
Sighing deeply, he leans back in his chair and rubs at his tired eyes for a moment. It would be okay to take a small break, at least. Besides, it wasn’t like him completing these orders would mean that attacks would stop immediately, it would still take time for them to travel to the east and then for the guards to head out to the towns.
He had time to just let his eyes relax.
-
Jungkook isn’t sure what woke him up first, whether it was the sound of something being put onto his desk or the draft of air as something passes by him, but he finds himself jerking awake in an instant. Blinking rapidly, he tries to reassert himself and remember where he was and what he was doing.
He’s still groggy though, enough to think he’s hallucinating the sight of you in his small office. It was only when the familiar scent of delicate peach and orange, which made him instantly feel comfortable, filtered through that he started to realise he wasn’t dreaming. As his mind finally catches up to what he’s seeing, he jolts upwards out of his seat, knocking the heavy chair over whilst he frantically smoothes down his trousers and runs his fingers through his hair.
“Your High-Majesty, I apologise. I-I wasn’t-” Jungkook isn’t quite sure what he’s trying to say, as he’s still tired and his head is aching even more than it was before. Like there’s cotton wool in place of his brain, making everything a little fuzzy. Not to mention he’s just plain confused about why you’re here, or that he’d accidentally fallen asleep.
You smile at him, he’d swear you almost looked fondly at him, before you gestured back to his chair. Flushing deeply, he rights the fallen furniture and carefully sits back down at your insistence, watching carefully as you hoist yourself up onto his desk in a distinctly un-queenlike way. The desk itself is old, carved from a solid chunk of wood that has probably lasted centuries and it doesn’t even move at the addition of your weight.
Jungkook wants to protest at you being so forward, your childhood etiquette teachers would once more be turning apoplectic if they saw you now, but he can’t bring himself to as you hum lightly and kick your feet. It’s almost like watching a child, and he’s momentarily thrown with how relaxed you look.
That small smile you’d had is still there, and your shoulders are relaxed. A small part of him feels pride in the knowledge that you feel safe enough in his presence to let down your guard, to let him see the true you and not the royalty everyone expects to see. There’s something else that tugs in his chest at the sight of you, the way your black trousers cling so tightly to your thighs and how the curve of your calves are enhanced by the long, black leather boots you’re wearing. The front of them is an intricate puzzle of laces, dancing their way up until they form an elegant bow at the very top.
Jungkook wonders what it would be like to peel those off you, unlacing each boot slowly whilst he looks you in the eye.
The spark of heat that ignites in his lower stomach causes him to cough, rubbing his temple awkwardly as he looks away from you. Those are not the thoughts that the captain of the royal guard should be having for his monarch.
“Your Majesty, I apologise for being asleep. It’s not right for your captain to be wasting time like that-” He’s cut off by the subtle wave of your hand, your head tilting to the side as your lips quirk into a larger smile. You look so pretty today, your skin is radiant with health and a relaxed, carefree aura to you.
“It’s okay, I know you’ve been very busy lately with your duties. Hoseok and Yoongi have kept me well informed of your whereabouts and what you’ve been up to. You should take care of yourself, Jungkook. It’s not healthy to be working so much, you know that. Apparently, you’ve not even eaten today and it’s almost dusk already!” At that, Jungkook looks over the windows that adorn his office and winces at the flames of sunset that streak across the sky, an awe-inspiring banner of purples, oranges, reds and pinks that paint a warning to all that the sun is saying goodbye.
You’re right, he hasn’t eaten today. The reminder makes his stomach gurgle in annoyance and he presses a hand to it, willing it to quieten. It’s only then that he notices the tray on the desk next to you, the aroma of freshly cooked spiced beef stew merging with the savoury dumplings that have been fried to perfection on a second plate. A large jug of what he presumes to be water sits next to them, two clean glasses waiting to be filled.
It strikes him then that this is what woke him, that you’d been the one to put this food on his desk. That you’d brought him a meal. You, the queen of the land, the woman he was sworn to serve and protect…had brought him food like a common maid.
You must have sensed the growing horror in his expression as you laugh softly, your hand reaching out to grab one of the two sets of chopsticks on the tray and daintily taking a dumpling. It gets placed into your mouth quickly, with a hand underneath to prevent it from dropping or for any crumbs to get over your clothes.
Once you’ve finished chewing, you swallow and point your chopsticks at him with a smile.
“Don’t get too worked up over it. I found out that you hadn’t eaten and requested your favourite meal to be cooked. And before you say anything, Yoongi is outside and he was the one who brought it up from the kitchens with me. It was me who brought it into the room though. I need to make sure my captain is healthy, and that includes making sure he eats.” You say sternly, eyes narrowing before you take another dumpling.
Jungkook just stares at you for a moment, stunned and confused as to what to do. It was his job to serve you, not the other way around.
Lowering his head, he reaches for his chopsticks and takes a chunk of beef from the bowl of stew and places it into his mouth. A quiet groan leaves him as the spices burst over his tongue, the meat itself tender and falling apart at the slightest pressure. It’s not lost on him that you somehow know his favourite meal, a basic stew that was popular amongst the commoners of the kingdom.
This kind of stew was easy to make and it was frequently found in inns, a large pot kept warm over an open fire that was constantly added to. It was one of the few things that Jungkook remembered his mother making when he was younger, which probably explained why he liked it so much. The fact that you’d worried about him and brought him this made his heart twist.
“Thank you,” He murmurs in-between bites, the silence between you both companionable instead of awkward. “I didn’t realise how busy being the captain would be, which sounds silly, I know.”
You let out a huff of laughter, picking up a large piece of potato and happily eating it before pouring you both a glass of water. He takes a large swallow, drinking almost half the glass in one go and sighs in relief, appreciating how the food is helping to make his headache go away.
“I feel that we’re both in the same situation. I never quite knew how busy my father was, and no amount of training could prepare me for how petty some of the complaints are. Sometimes, I just wish that I could knock heads together and just make them talk to each other. Do people not realise that communication resolves a lot of problems?” That makes Jungkook snort and he almost chokes on some carrot.
If there’s one thing no one can ever accuse you of being bad at, it’s communication. You’ve always excelled at telling people exactly what you think and being honest about whether or not you’ll do something. The interaction with Prince Seokjin comes to mind, alongside many arguments with your father and his advisors.
“I’m sure that you are doing well, Your Majesty. You have been well trained and have good instincts.” He doesn’t notice the way you smile at him, only focused on scooping up the remaining liquid in his bowl with a hunk of fresh bread that you’d brought as well. There are no more dumplings left, and he can’t help the amused smirk he gives you when he goes to grab one only to find none there.
Instead of looking ashamed, you simply shrugged at him in a distinctly un-ladylike manner.
“What? They were tasty, you know that we only hire the best cooks.” Jungkook laughs at that, shaking his head in amusement and taking another drink of water. Somewhere, deep inside his mind, he wonders when he’d become so familiar with you. When had you turned from being his job to being…almost a friend.
“Thank you for bringing this. Though you shouldn’t do such menial tasks, you know that they are below you. But I do appreciate it.” Your nose wrinkles and he recognises annoyance.
“Don’t say that, it demeans the work of the staff in the castle. I won’t have it said that I view myself as below my servants. I said that I wanted to be a fair ruler, and a fair ruler is someone who is not afraid to get involved. Especially when it’s to make sure that someone I care about is looked after.” There’s a moment of silence after you've finished, and Jungkook wants to commend your pleasant attitude.
It’s a refreshing change to have a monarch who genuinely cares over those she rules over.
But his mind is stuck on the last thing you’d said. It shouldn’t take up so much space in his mind, it was probably just a slip of the tongue as you clearly felt comfortable in his presence. He knew that he shouldn’t think too much about it, yet he can’t stop himself.
“Someone, you care about?” The words leave his mouth before he can think properly, and he desperately wants to reach out into the air and stuff them back into his mouth. Even if that’s not how it works.
You don’t respond for a while, the silence suddenly filled with tension he can’t identify. Jungkook isn’t sure what’s happening, but he knows that he wants to take back what he’d just said, let you carry on with your conversation as normal. That can’t happen, and something in the air tells him that no matter what you say, everything is going to be changed between you both before you leave his office.
Sighing deeply, you look down at your hands and twist one of the golden rings adorning them, the movement an outlet for the nerves you’re feeling. He wants to reach out and tell you that it’s okay, you don’t have to respond and he’ll forget this conversation ever happened. Jungkook never wants you to feel uncomfortable with him, but there’s a part of him that wants to know. That needs to know.
Finally, you straighten your shoulders and smile at him. It throws him for a moment, confused as to why you suddenly look happy and content but he doesn’t get the chance to question it.
“Yes, someone I care about. I should have said this long ago, and I’m making a bit of a hypocrite of myself given I’ve just said that I pride myself on communication. But I have my reasons, which I’m sure you’ll understand. Either way, it doesn’t matter anymore. I don’t care what others think, I’m the queen and I make the rules now.” He’s not sure what you’re on about, and he gets the sense that you’re waffling a little.
No matter how confident you look and sound right now, Jungkook knows you well enough to know that you’re nervous.
Tilting his head, his mouth opens to say something but you hold up a hand, one finger lifted in a clear ‘shh’ gesture and his jaw snaps shut in surprise. Brows lifting, he waits to see what you’re going to say.
He’s pretty sure that he stops breathing when you finally get it out.
“I like you, Jungkook. Captain Jeon Jungkook, Captain of the Royal Guard. My most loyal guard, who has steadfastly protected my life for many years now. I care for you, I like you, I may even love you. I know that I am the queen now, and many will say that it is unacceptable for me to be saying this to you. That I should be marrying a prince from some far-flung kingdom to solidify ties between Sejong and wherever they’re from, but I don’t want that. I don’t want to be like my father and mother, unhappy with each other and their lives. I want better than that.” You take a deep breath before reaching out and taking one of his hands.
They’re smaller than his own, but not by much. You’ve always been tall for a woman, though he’d always put that down to the good diet you’d had since being a child. Full of nutrients and things that most other people didn’t get.
Still, they’re smoother than his own. His are rough, calloused from so many years spent training with swords and bows, though he feels the hint of your callouses. You may not have spent as much time as him training, but you know your way around the training hall.
Jungkook recognises that his mind is meandering right now, not quite ready to acknowledge what is happening, but he forces himself to focus on what you’re saying.
“I want you.”
The words hang in the air, confident yet with the hint of a tremor. He knows that he holds a lot of power in his hands right now; the power to hurt you irrevocably, in a way that no one else could.
Instead, he stands quietly, looking at you intently and tracking over every part of your face. Drinking in the details as he stands so close to you, in a way that he never has before. This close, the scent of you is overwhelming and he feels his hand shake slightly as he cups your cheek so gently.
He doesn’t respond to your words, not with words of his own, anyway. Instead, he looks deep into your eyes, a question in his eyes as they flick down to your lips and back up. After so many years spent watching over you, protecting you, loving you, he recognises all the signs of acceptance and agreement in you.
The way you lean your cheek into his hand, how your body moves closer to his own, as if on instinct. The tiny nod you give is almost unnoticeable.
Jeon Jungkook is pretty sure that he’s died and gone to heaven when his lips press to your own, the movement unsure and hesitant on your end. There’s no way he’s not in his bed dreaming right now, as you follow his lead and tentatively let him deepen the kiss, clearly learning as you go. He’s fantasising as your hands move to wrap around his neck, one grasping tight into his hair.
Because there is no way that he’s kissing the queen of Sejong right now, the woman with the strongest ice magic ever seen and whom the kingdom calls the Ice Queen not only for her magic. He can’t be kissing the Ice Queen, not when you feel so hot against him.
And yet…

The sincerity hidden between the lines.
Human relationships are a hard thing, and we see it in The Devil Judge in a lot of cases; Yo-Han and Ga-On is a nice definition of misunderstood wholeheartedness from both sides.
I've already written a post about how Yo-Han started to think Ga-On was lying and playing a role all this time, and I highly recommend you to read it if you haven't. Now, I want to finish it with other moments that were seen as betrayals because of Professor's orders, but at the end turned out to be an act of care and sincerity towards Yo-Han.
[ Warning ] : Massive spoilers for episode fourteen, fifteen and sixteen.
— Part four: And when you came to me for the last time,
The scene after Ga-On said that the live court show was a lie; we’ll discuss some parts of their dialogue later but now I want to talk about what’s going on before Ga-On enters Yo-Han’s office.
Tumblr media
Yo-Han remembering how the whole world sees him as a monster is something we have already seen. The list is pretty long, but the main faces we see in the beginning. The kids, his father, even Isaac is there. Sun-Ah, but he never cared about her opinion anyways... Ga-On. The one in the list because of whom Yo-Han's fists clench.
And we have already seen it. Yo-Han's hurt when Ga-On thinks of him as a monster in episode five, we have seen it in episode twelve. So there's nothing new, even though it doesn't make the whole scene any less painful.
Tumblr media
But it's another level when Ga-On calls Yo-Han a devil. Not just a monster, but a devil that uses people's weaknesses. And Yo-Han reacts to it immediately, telling Ga-On to say that again. Just like he did in episode four, when Ga-On accused him of killing Isaac; and just like in episode four, Yo-Han chokes Ga-On. The difference is him asking if Ga-On knows what being really is back then, and now it’s him asking if Ga-On's scared of him too.
Tumblr media
And when Yo-Han lets go of his neck, telling him to get lost, Ga-On without any knowing makes the knife go even deeper, saying he truly wished Yo-Han would stop. Adding to the speeches he said previously (the day before at study and just a few minutes ago), we get the words of Professor of him wanting Yo-Han to stop because he ruins the world.
"A world where everyone has blood on their hands is just pandemonium. You're trying to make the world like that." And while Ga-On doesn't know how to reach out to Yo-Han, Yo-Han closes his eyes, trying to cope with the thought of Ga-On really being just a puppet and nothing more.
Tumblr media
When Ga-On leaves the office, closing the door for the last time, Yo-Han opens his eyes. When he’s all alone, when he doesn't have to hide his feeling. When it’s just Yo-Han and his own misery.
— Part five: I thought it's all over.
The night when Ga-On ends up in his hell of distrust of Yo-Han because of the false evidence Professor tossed is the night when Ga-On breaks into the mansion and attacks Yo-Han with a knife.
Tumblr media
The night when everything becomes clear, but before that — the night full of pain, and not just physical.
At first, Yo-Han tries to make him come to his senses and succeeds: Ga-On throws the knife and steps back for the first time ever. And even when Ga-On accuses Yo-Han of killing Soo-Hyun, he still talks to Ga-On calmly, without yelling or speaking in high tones.
Tumblr media
But when the allegation of Yo-Han killing Isaac is brought up once again, Yo-Han raises his voice; his brows furrows, but the moment Ga-On mentions the video from Joseph, Yo-Han looks stunned and has a flashback of the night of the fire.
And then, we see Yo-Han in his hell (the thundering and him touching the scar); he shouts, asking if Ga-On met with Joseph, grabbing his jacket with force and an expression of unbelief and hope that Ga-On didn't get to know the truth.
Tumblr media
When Professor comes in, Yo-Han is not surprised by his presence here (Yo-Han doesn't move an inch when he hears his voice); but what truly shocks him is Ga-On's reaction: calm, he already knew Professor will come here with the police. And it's when Yo-Han lets go; it's when the last hope of Ga-On just not knowing his role dies completely.
Tumblr media
A detective comes into Yo-Han's direction to put handcuffs on him, and when he does so, Yo-Han stops controlling himself and lifts his head with tears in his eyes and painful questions. And I don't know the exact moment Yo-Han understood the reason Ga-On attacked him, but he hit the bull's-eye.
Tumblr media
And when Yo-Han hears the clinking of the heals, he's horrified. When he sees Sun-Ah clapping his hands with a victorious smile on her face, Yo-Han's in indignation.
Even though Yo-Han asked "K" to find out who is behind Professor, it was too late: a few days later she killed him and shot Yo-Han; now, the mystery’s solved thanks to Professor’s bow to Sun-Ah; and even though Yo-Han doesn't believe it at first, everything makes sense when she asks a rhetorical question about who made Professor Min Chief Justice, Yo-Han just snores: of course.
— Part six: But, I don't want it to end. Not like this.
The spectacle is over, all the actors and the actresses showed up; and when you think Ga-On's role in it is obvious, turns out that it's not that simple as it seems.
Yo-Han didn't look even once at Ga-On since Sun-ah appeared; but when he finally turned his head, the situation got some new colors in it.
Tumblr media
The first time Yo-Han looks at Ga-On is the moment he understands: Ga-On didn't know. He may be manipulated, may be talking like Professor, but he didn't know about him being a tool; when Professor says he'll understand one day that it was for a greater good, Ga-On nods in denial: he won't and doesn't want to understand. Never.
Ga-On was sincere, all this time. Every said word, every cooked meal, and every game played together, it all was sincere. And Yo-Han knows it, checking on Ga-On and calling him by his name. Because in the end, he'll get out of prison. What matters now is completely different from him being groundlessly and falsely accused.
So there’s no wonder why Yo-Han was so warm and tender in the bomb-defusing scene, even though there was a cold and indifferent wall between them two a few weeks ago.
