I was ahead of you about a month ago buddy,I've been wanting to play Minecraft just to pretend to be Sam and max and take screenshots to put them in but. Mm,3ds and getting stuck in forest Temple for 3 days straight go brr

Max needs keep inventory on because I think he would actually have really bad camera control in every game ever. Like Sam does fine but I heard it's canon somewhere that both of them are terrible shots, and I think Sam only does really well when the targets far away from Max. Max is a lost cause and so him trying to control his camera [either on a controller or on Java here I don't judge] he just can't aim for shit, he needs at least 4 attempts to hit anything while standing still in the game,god help him if he tries to run right at a zombie that man isn't fucking hitting anything

Because of this most of the time Max is just rolling around at the speed of sound and Sam turned on the smallest biome size so his little buddy could find whatever he set out to get without hassle, and Sam is here with a bow and no sword in his inventory, weighing the cons and pros of using birch or oak for Thier house until Max yells at him to "GET OVER IT AND JUST PICK ONE ALREADY !! GET IN BED SO I DONT DIE 4000 BLOCKS AWAY FROM YOU!!" and forcibly takes control of Sam and throws all of his birch planks in a lava pit

Also Sam's skin would be Alex and Max's skin would just be a single color. Like he went to skindex.com, and paint bucketed the entire thing #00000 if I'm remembering the hex code correctly, and then used the paint bucket on the second layer too,the "hat" layer or whatever the fuck it is

Sam is also really fucking shit at making houses and his knowledge of redstone is that he can make an anvil device on top of their house [a lever attached to a dispenser with anvils with a piston to push the anvil off of the house to hit max as he tries desperately to left click the door] but he would totally make a little thing in the garden from a tutorial to make sure the horses and pigs and cows max brings home have a nice place to stay outside and don't get wet from the rain,and he would have a nice potato carrot farm :>

Also neither of them know how villagers work but if they did Max would adore them,it would be way too tedious for him but he would love the idea of poisoning villagers and then curing them just to poison them again so he doesn't have to pay an extra emerald for a fucking stack of sticks, and his favorite thing would be the treasure maps they give you [I've only found them from shipwrecks but I've heard they can be bought from villagers]

Holy shit how did it take me so far down the post to read the second half I fucking forgot creepers exist but on second thought. Max would figure out how to make a charged creeper and fucking drag it to the house from like 500 blocks away just to annoy the shit out of Sam by breaking both of their beds and the stairs to the second floor in one fell swoop

Sam learned how to waterlog chests after that

I’m so glad you like it! When I first started writing this I was worried nobody would like it since it’s pretty different from most reader insert fics out there. I kinda just wrote it just for me to make me happy. Imagine my surprise when other people liked it! Comments like this and knowing other people enjoy my weird little fic keeps the series going.

The entirety of the first book is actually already on Wattpad and I’m already posting DIU!

I’ve never really used ao3 before but I’m open to posting over there!
