They're telling themselves Tifa's "not into it" because they now realize Cloud is so in love with her that their only hope is for Tifa to reject him so Aerith can be his second choice (oh, irony). As if Nojima dedicated a portion of Tifa's part of the novel to her feelings for Cloud just for her to turn around and go "I'm not interested" when Cloud finally kisses her. Cope harder, cleradicals. 🙄

Tifa is literally in love with him. She ain't rejecting him. He sure af ain't rejecting her. They should pack up and leave.

God. What I love. What I FUCKING LOVE about Power Rangers 2017 is that...they’re just five lost teenagers, searching for something more. For belonging. Searching for acceptance. And they just...they’ll fucking die for each other. Literally. They say it and mean it. And they’ll die to save the world. Not because of whatever inner anguish they all possess, but because it’s right. And they fucking love it. They love each other. This is, what, 11 days they’ve been together. But they come together and are this amazing family who just happen to kick major ass with SO MUCH heart and determination. The world has been so hard for them, but they want to save it all the same. Despite the world’s flaws, they want to save it. It’s theirs. And they want to save each other. They deeply believe in one another. They come to believe in their own humanity. In themselves. These kids who, at the start of the movie, don’t believe in themselves. And you get to the end of the movie, after the final fight scene, and they’re just so happy. Are their problems all resolved? No. But...they have something. Together. I hate that the tagline “Together We Are More” wasn’t actually in the movie, because it’s sooo fitting. They are more together. They’re their best selves together. And yeah, Stand By Me always makes me tear up, but so does the end scene when we see them thriving. Maybe they aren’t forgiven for their past mistakes (minus Trini who made none), but they just...they’re better. Because of each other, and because of who they are, and it’s just so fucking beautiful. I love this movie.

And I’m forever heartbroken that we don’t get more. The end is so bittersweet for that. I just love that I’m not alone in this, that there’s a community here that all gets it, and shares in it, even if we drift into other fandoms. It’s like...deep down we’re all still here, we’re all still fans of this amazing movie. It’s like we pass each other in the hallways of tumblr, secretly smiling to each other, because we know. We know. And we don’t need anyone to tell us differently.

I just...fucking love this movie.

Is there literally an interview in which Tetsuya Nomura specifically states that no matter how you play, Tifa is always endgame?

Because the truth is, it was never supposed to be ambiguous. There is plenty of in-game and ultimania evidence to support that Cloud loves Tifa, and that he clearly doesn’t love Aerith. These people (whom I will call ambies) clearly don’t understand that this is a red herring in the game, and if it were supposed to be a chose-your-own-adventure game, it would be the worst of its kind. Another way in which it isn’t a CYOA game is that you can’t make Cloud an evil murder or a theif, this isn’t The Elder Scrolls. Cloud’s love interest is Tifa and there’s no evidence saying that it isn’t.

Did you notice when that goodbye trailer for Aer happened no one in the fandom said "Cloud loves both girls" but now after this trailer everyone is suddenly saying that bullshit? I saw a tweet like that with 400 likes, when will we be free?

That's because they all know the truth and hate it. Idky it's sooooo offensive that Cloud loves Tifa, but these people need to wake up and smell themselves.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
