Not really an ask more of a message but I reeeealy love your rw AU, particularly chasing wind, NSH and moon, moon seems so vibrant, so alive in the world, as if she was learning everything for the first time each thing sparking joy in her, I know chasing wind doesn't get a lot of content in the base game but I LOVE what you've done with his characterization, he's a little bit older but he makes it work, he's kind but he doesn't really like socialization. he takes everything people say seriously at first but can take a joke. he loves his projects and the feeling of looking at a creation knowing it comes from his vision made corporeal. And your personality of no serious arassment is exactly what I think he represents, he loves his friends and he loves making fun of them and doesn't let anyone sit up on a shelf all alone. I also really like the idea of travel puppets since they make sense in game and allow you to do so much with the iterators when they're no longer confined to a 20 foot room. I say this alot but im super biased towards happy endings and i mean that already went against rw lore, so i really try to develop the iterators and the world and the story so it makes sense and has more to it than just oop theyre happy! Thats the story.

YEAH MOON IS HAPPY NOW! This whole time she had to be professional, the senior that has everything under control, responsible for people who sees her as a tool. Now shes free of her chamber! Shes almost indestructable, she can just... go! She doesnt have to pretend to like her citizens, doesnt have a structure to constantly worry about, no more working on the Great Problem shes just... free! She loves slugcats so now she can just go travel with them! She can go and visit and physically hug her sibling and friends! She can travel the world and live out the rest of her existance NOT stuck in a room constantly getting drowned. Like heck yeah girl is gonna be more vibrant!

Man i dont even draw wind alot, i know i probably should, heck UI has a dedicated comic for her backstory so wind should get one too. They overwork and worry about things alot yeah but theres an end goal they want to achieve! They have things they want done and i totally agree they WOULD be super proud to be able to make their ideas real. Theyre not super social but that doesnt mean they hate their fellow iterators, they listen and they want whats best for the group!

Sigs personality is kinda determined already and the fandom collectively agree hes a lil gremlin man. We love the gremlin man. Now with the ancients gone and new found freedom he has more time to do what he wants and what makes him happy!

Tim accidentally hid it from everyone! Like theres enough evidence to prove shes a citizen and child but her relationship to the Drakes is obscured due to red tape and issues with birth certificates. Also plot reasons bc i wanted her to be a surprise to the batfam.

Just popped into my head, but if ya wanted a GW rewrite that didnt drag claude through the mud but also had claude play a more developed role so to speak, ive got some ideas

the route opens up with the battle on the myrdian bridge, where we compress the entirety of the empires incursion that takes up the front half into that chapter; that is instead of claudes feint being to let the empire run into the alliance and get stranded there he traps their initial forces at myrdian and sweeps them up there. then the next chapter has claude make an attack on the empire/bergleiz territory.

however after the attack on the empire itself claude gets the call that almyra and shahid are attempting a second incursion, an even larger army at shahids call and fodlans throat needs help RIGHT NOW, so claude is forced to abandon his momentum on the empire and sue a quick peace

ch7 in this scenario is devoted to rushing back to fodlans throat and making a hasty defense there, it almost seems to succeed but then shahid is able to win the day so to speak proving that well hes not cunning in the same way claude is [and demonstrably cruel/pigheaded] hes no less capable a threat. ch 8 then plays the alliance defending deirdru from almyran forces in a siege, with hubert [cause edelgards stubbornly prideful] making secret communications with claude to propose a deal; we the empire give you reinforcements, you the alliance give us your loyalty dont worry about it. claude reluctantly accepts cause shahid has an obvious force advantage and the empire is offering an equalizer with ch8 ending with the empire breaking the siege.

ch9 kicks off with the empire immediately abusing that privilege; the empire occupies and effectively annexes leicester in all but name, organizes a temporary truce with almyra on leicesters behalf, and forces leicesters army to do the empires dirty work and fight the kingdom and church. claude, assuming that edelgard is mostly concerned with the church and rhea organizes a gamble of a strategy to try and detooth edelgards campaign for war, first he captalizes on sreng and faerghus tensions to distract faerghus, then in ch10 he rushes the churches forces and position as quick as possible eliminating rhea and trying to organize some form of peace. it doesnt work as edelgard rebuffs all of his suggestions for peace continuing her war effort and dimitri is unreceptive to claudes words due to not trusting him in the slightest after the sreng incident.

ch11 spices things up immensely though, shahid is not only breaking the adrestian facilitated truce, but the almyran forces have completely blown past the adrestian garrison stationed at the throat, cut through leicester and is threatening adrestia itself. edelgard panics and brings her forces to bear on the almyrans forcing claude to join up as well. claude in desperation tries to convince nader to pull out of the invasion which claude hopes will detooth shahid. nader is only able to pull back and claude finds shahids personal forces are no less formidable for it. the chapter wraps up with shahid retreating but keeping his territorial gains of leicester and claude begging edelgard to give him time to find a diplomatic solution, to which edelgard denies now out for blood and willing to trample the alliances citizens in the process.

out of options for ch12 claude makes for one final gamble, let the empire and almyran forces duke it out, and well their distracted claude and a strike team will 'cut off the head' and force shahid to capitulate at knifepoint as shahids busy trying to solidify his gains. they get him alone beat off his guards and corner claudes rival with claude giving shahid one more chance to surrender. shahid goads claude into killing him instead noting that he'll never surrender and if claude doesnt kill him his little strike squad is gonna get overrun by reinforcements. claude does the grim deed of killing a blood relative, in order to save his comrades, and the final course is set.

realizing that killing shahid isn't going to stop this invasion, almyra maintains a strong position and however unpopular shahid might be a dead prince is going to galvanize and encourage the hotblooded almyrans, claude commits himself to the course. first he dissolves the alliance and institutes the federation, then he blames the empire for shahids death framing it as an assassination and citing 'such despicable methods' as reason for instituting the federation and importantly 'accepting the generous offer of general nader and prince khalid to formally institute the leicester federation as a protectorate of the almyran empire' dumping the job of federation king on lorenzes shoulders and taking up the mantle of prince khalid once more in order to lead the almyrans in place of 'his dear late brother shahid'. ch13 is thus round 2 of the almyran incursion into edelgards empire this time claudes in charge, pushing edelgards forces own progress against the almyrans right back and taking myriddian.

no ones happy with claude at this point, even his allies, but claude keeps to the course reasoning that if hes willing to kill shahid to keep his friends safe, not even necessarily to support his own dream, then he has to be willing to do anything to keep them safe. ch14 is cutting a path to enbarr, all as news reaches claude that the kingdom which has pushed its own way into the empire thanks to the almyrans incursion is now bunkering down in its own captured territory spending time and resources on fortifying and rebuilding in preparation for possible conflict with almyra, the rebuilding claudes notes in a fond manner as a show of dimitris compassion for the 'common folk' before coldly noting it as a weakness to exploit in future showcasing the decline of his mental health. ch14 caps off with a battle in the streets of enbarr as claude employs every dirty trick in the book to speed things along but further showcasing how badly hes doing now

ch15 is thus the big bash battle for the imperial palace itself, claude circumventing edelgards brute force methodology at every turn before finally confronting the empress herself whos been making last minute deals with the agarthans now that shes on the backfoot. said deal involves a hegelgard fight for the climax and claudes not nearly as nice about it as AM dimitri was, killing her well edelgard is still hegelgard as the agarthans retreat for now. the ending is altered depending on byleth recruitment or not, no byleth seeing kingdom and federation forces open hostilities pretty soon after hegelgards defeat well byleth recruited sees a tense but present peace settle between the kingdom and federation.

no peaceful ending - precollapse decently easy. post collapse basically impossible unless she knew you before

fibres of silence - not necessarily difficult, but they have a good sense for bullshit

glowing wind between speckled trees - not easy or difficult. altho she's not very social (doesnt talk one on one very often) so there's not a huge amount of opportunities to gain her trust

dappled light over decaying leaves - same as w/ wind

hallows of fate, damned - im honestly not sure he lets himself trust anyone (because of his whole religious guilt thing).

awakening winter - if you work with him on the solution he'll trust you, but its easy to break it, especially if he suspects you're going to try and stop him

What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?

for all of them i'd say anything that relates to when the ancients were alive.

pre-collapse peace is probably indifferent to nostalgia, post-collapse she despises it (because she hates the ancients).

silence probably also dislikes the ancients, so similarly dislikes nostalgia.

wind doesn't like nostalgia, because she prefered it when the ancients were alive, and wishes they were still around.

light enjoys nostalgia. i think she's probably quite interested in ancient culture, so being nostalgic is fun.

fate absolutely doesn't like nostalgia. it triggers her guilt to hell and back, being a reminder of how she failed her citizens.

winter doesn't care for nostalgia. dwelling on his creators is a useless distraction from finding the solution.

What memory do they revisit the most often?

pre-collapse peace, she probably thinks about talking to wind and light. i dont know if they got together but if they did, that's what she'd think about.

post collapse peace would spend a lot of time going over her interactions with winter to try and figure out the tipping point, but i think she thinks about talking to her citizens in the void a lot. the way they were so happy, so calm, and she and her kind were made just to suffer.

silence - their last conversation with peace before she shut off communications. wishing they knew what to say to get her to stop.

wind - probably any conversation she had with her citizens about tea, or overseer footage of peace's can collapsing.

light - probably also overseer footage of peace's can collapsing.

fate - its mistake. trying to find any possible way he could've stopped it, or some days trying to rationalise away any way it could be anything but his fault.

winter - peace's final communication with him. she travelled to the local communications array (which had survived her collapse) and sent a message to him, that she was coming. he's unconcerned, mainly because worrying about it would get in the way of finding the solution before peace shows up to destroy him.

the thing about me is that in my mind i have like a full on fix it for dsmp and if i wanted to i could write down the base timeline and at least give a semi-good ending and tie up to everyones plotlines (i try to follow everyones story at least) and like over and over i just keep coming back to the fact that what would fix dsmp is for these characters to like. be properly treated as if this is their life. if theres one thing to nitpick about how the lens through which the smp is told its that the streaming thing both makes some parts of it extremely interesting while also hindering it because uh

a lot of the characters are sometimes hindered by the fact that theyre connected to cc lives and sporadic streaming schedules. some characters like quackity manage to feel like theyre really Living in the smp because we often get a proper explanation of what the fuck theyre doing when the cc isnt streaming their pov. but some like tubbo can feel more detached because well. cctubbo himself has admitted that he doesnt really think about ctubbo or what ctubbo does when the cc isnt playing him lmao

but like. to me a lot could be benefitted by giving some more depth to the fact that these characters are like. theyre not Kept Here. even outside of wilbur being from utah theres a lot that points to rhe fact that yes, there is a whole world outside of the world we see on the server, characters Can leave. but they dont. and like. they need Reasons for why the hell theyre staying here, why they keep coming back. and obviously, its because of attachments. but i feel the characters could be more. In the world. have relationships that would naturally develop from just being near each other (one example i often think of is tubbo and ponk, not only have they often butted heads but ponk was also schlatts doctor and one of his few supporters during a time where schlatt was ruining tubbos life on a personal level). think about what the hell they do when they arent on stream

a lot of issues with the later seasons, for me, comes from the fact that the smp became depressingly. Empty. and that wasnt narratively tapped on, because most complaints about how people werent logging on was, well, the ccs talking from a meta standpoint. but. realistically. while there would be a permeating Empty feeling, especially if we're to go with a no citizens dsmp setting.. the characters are still often within range to talk to each other and hang out? they still . live when theyre not onscreen. realistically theyre not going to just.. stand in the same place doing nothing for months until the ccs decide to pick up their story again

but when told through a lens that doesnt rely on whats shown onscreen and doesnt rely on a medium thats mainly about interacting with Fans, theres a chance to fill up the smp. make relationships that didnt happen onscreen. what if tubbo and charlie met before charlie died, what if foolish talked to sam more, how Does fundy function when hes so far away now, what if wilbur met some of the newer members like aimsey, etc etc. fill in on story lines that couldnt be achieved due to time or forgetting or due to worry over interest from fans. eryns knightship, ranboos lab, phil discovering that wilbur lied in his letters, how did tubbo feel about quackity and wilbur after ho16, etc etc. there can be more added to the world that mightve felt weird to roleplay (characters gaining disabilities due to death and war, a Lot about cbeeduo, tommy talking about exile, etc etc)

sooo many things could be fixed or at least made a bit better just by like. grounding the characters and world a bit more. make them actually react to whats happening to each other even when it isnt obviously relevant to their own story, give them connections outside of already established cc friendships, make them take certain things more seriously if their character would do so. shit like that

#remember when everyone would react to the shit going on with pogtopia and manberg #remember when foolish would end up making other characters open up just by being New and asking questions #(rather similarly to what aimsey and eryn did with eret but not as many people focused on that unfortunately) #like. ykwim . #this is very stream of consciousness #and very unstructured. ultimately i am just rambling here #dsmp #mask mews #amaryllis analyzes #kind of. #unfortunately this interest still has me in its grasps #it takes. a Long fucking time for me to move on from spins </3

i loved the writing for both tory n sam it was SO GOOD..... tory wanting to finally have a victory that isnt hollow n have something good in her life last, sam desperately trying to do right by miyagi-do bc of her guilt for losing the all valley, them teaming up to achieve both their goals, GOD...... big fan of devon becoming a more important character n i liked how kenny n anthony grew :] very sorry for being insane in ur askbox about the karate show i hope u have a good day :D

i know some people thought the miguel mexico storyline was too short but tbh it felt just the right length like he had one specific question he wanted answered abt his father: is he worth knowing? and while miguel thought he was at first, the longer he spent w him, the more red flags. eventually deciding against having any kind of relationship w him. it was painful for him, but it was a real sign of maturity keeping himself and his family safe. and his hug w johnny....tender. miguel might not have a father but he has a father. do you get it. god. insane.

the baby storyline....kinda dumb but i dont hate it. but like. youre telling me johnny not only got it up but blew through a condom. ugh i GUESS. but also yeah miguel was so excited abt a new sibling 🥺 he's gonna be such a good big brother 😭

sam & tory were definitely a highlight!!! sam was so good this season more people need to talk abt her storylines. i like how sam and tory were finally earnest w each other and reached some sort of reconciliation <3

ALSO yeahhhh the younger kids!! loved them!!! i liked how it was an emphasis that they weren't necessarily great fighters by the end of the season, but in devon and kenny's case they had heart (and in kenny's case, silver had already chosen him as his champion and was determined to get him victory) and how anthony's big moment wasn't a fight but rather his cleverness!!!

people keep saying jon and cecil would fight but i disagree. would jon get frustrated at cecil being a ditz with a bad memory who loooves government propaganda and not asking questions? yes. would they bicker about what jon considers basic knowledge that cecil just absolutely refuses to budge on? absolutely.

but cecil (and leonard burton) were able to successfully do what jon wanted to do: build a better, fairer world where the fears and humans could live peacefully. cecil has been an avatar of the eye for ??? years, at least for a few centuries, and was prophesied to be so and thus was able to incorporate that into his sense of self and world view. he grew up learning from leonard that a strong community is the crux of the universe, and that you dont have to be human to be a person.

jon would want that, would want to live in a world where he doesnt have to worry that being an avatar makes him a monster, where its not either frighten or be afraid, where hes not starving to death because everyone in night vale runs up to cecil to give statements about some fucked up shit they saw and get a stamp on their Alert Citizen card

jon would want to know how he did it, how he can still be jon and the archivist, how he can feed without becoming a nightmare

😔🤲 I will now donate flustered Lucifer to the pile because senior citizens deserve rights too. Lucifer is emotionally intelligent but awful at expressing himself, so his real feelings spill out randomly. Like he will randomly baby MC and not realize it. Breakfast? Wiping food off of their face. Walking to school? Herds them away from the street. A minor mistake on a report they turned in? He pretends he didn’t see it or corrects it himself. And soon his brothers Mammon are like OOOO YOU WANT MC TO HOLD YOU SO BAD. Lucifer rolls his eyes until MC reciprocates helpful behaviors back to him. MC fixed his tie outside of the RAD gates and he thought he was going to explode. He made up some excuse about a meeting with Diavolo and hastily ripped an entire metal gate off of its hinges.

I LOVE SMALL GESTURES/ACTS OF AFFECTION LUCIFER he doesnt have any intention of falling for anyone especially Just A Human and when it hits he has he has to lock himself in his study all day. only leaving bc mc texts "hey havent seen you in a bit, just checking in. got dinner if you want any!" bc he cant have them worried thats even more humilating (and kindve nice this little human could care...)

do the rest of the diner crew know that party was reeducated and was almost a “perfect citizen” til he snapped out of it? how much of that story do they know and how does/would it affect how they think about pois???

oh this is such an interesting question holy shit. okay okay okay

first off, if poison knows it, kobra knows it, and anything kobra remembers from before reeducation, party knows as well. its the one thing that they are 100 percent completely and wholly open about with each other, even though its weird and hard to talk about. the thing is, even they dont have the full story. kobra was like eight when poison was reeducated, party doesnt remember anything from before it and hes foggy on the first few years after it and kobra started having his own issues to worry about when he was like 11 so 'the mystery of whats up with my weird brother' wasn't his highest priority from then on.

i dont wanna say the crew Doesnt know but i dont think party's ever like. sat everyone down and done a "storytime: I was on a fasttrack to being a mid-high level BLI executive". one of party's big things is this complex they have about being a 'real killjoy' and how they're always worried about being seen as a fraud and having people leave them bc of it so they arent like. eager to tell people anything that might complicate things

but stuff slips out and makes people wonder yknow? he never Really talks about life in the city (which kobra does to an extent) and he has Huge blank spots in his memory, but he'll absent-mindedly know Intimate details about how the city functions. Jet could tell instantly that they had some kind of job in the city because of some of their mannerisms in the early days (calling people sir, adopting an unnaturally perfect posture when stressed, etc) but jet hadn't been in the city long enough to recognize any of the origins of those. by the time ghoul and cherri were on the scene, those mannerisms were gone and ofc even when kobra's talking about his city days he never really mentions party bc they didn't have much of a relationship at all until they left. so they all know theres something, but they dont know what

what the crew DOES know is that pois left the city with a tracker in the back of his neck, a working knowledge of city schematics and security, the ability to drive, and a little brother he'd do anything for. none of them feel a need to know because they know party As He Is Now and thats enough for them, they all trust each other 100 percent.

would it affect how the crew saw them if they knew? absolutely not. ghoul and cherri are kinda experts at having pasts they arent proud of. especially considering how party more or less put aside his shitty-about-addicts views to help w cherris recovery, both of them would feel SO weird about not returning the favour. scenarios you cant control, right? as for jet, they met party when he was three days out of the city. thats a tough time in anyones life, especially someone who JUST snapped out of reeducation, and as much as party wasn't eager about all the parts of desert life, they Never wavered in how badly they wanted to be out there. like i dont think anyone would ever think party believed in city rhetoric, especially not his crew.

Station 19 rewatch: 4x14

Going to try to do another rewatch before my family wakes up. We have a lot to do today and there is a dark cloud over the house after loaing our cat this week. Here's hoping i can get through one of my favorite episodes before they get up.

Surrera is so cute here and the whole food thing, like girl where is our payoff on this baby that was so clearly teased. Or is there another medical condition that could be blamed on her excessive eating.

Im so glad maya and andy are friends again. I loge their friendship.

I'm glad andy acknowledges that getting married doesnt fix things; but i worry that if maya and carina hit a rough patch, andy will remind maya of this conversation or use her own issues with sullivan and their marriage as an i told you so.

Danielle is beautiful but does anyone else think she lost weight, random question but just looking at her in her uniform there she seems smaller and it worries me. Didnt really notice last time i watched this episode but am i alone in this.

I love that maya opens up with carina about her dad and the protests and the happenings in the world with him. It shows so much growth and im here for it. Also anyone else annoyed that one carina answered gabriella's phone call when maya is opening up to her and two that she didnt turn it off for their last few hours together.

The look of like disappointment/devestation on maya's face when carina answers the call and walks away from her is too much hurt.

So sad that bailey isnt there and that ben is alone for even a second of this.

I really do think the show and actresses put in a lot in this episode to show how well they know each other and have grown. I feel like they talk more even if we dont see it and maya is working on her issues with carina's love and support. I also do love how this argument ends though ;)

theres a lot of people who seem to think that c!beeduo will have some sort of giant argument abt ranboos or quackity will take tubbos last life or something and im just like. no i just want them to talk LMAO can we get a tubbo talking about his problems and have an arc of tubbo realizing that he shouldnt just accept mistreatment and that repressing his emotions is not the same as healthily moving on from trauma. i want him and quackity to be equals with mutual respect (which is where their relationship had already left off), i know realistically theres going to be conflict but like.

ranboo and tubbo both already know theyre keeping secrets, tubbo wouldnt be mad about enderwalk because its not dangerous, ranboo wouldnt be mad because tubbo didnt tell him about his past, at most ranboo would be upset *for* tubbo because like. theres no good reason for ranboo to get mad that tubbo didnt tell him about something incredibly traumatizing, and theres. no reason for tubbo to be pissed about sleepwalking, even *if* ew!ranboo has conmections with dream, tubbo has already expressed that he wouldnt blame ranboo for anything he couldnt control, and tubbo himself knows how easy it is for dream to get under peoples skin

also i feel like some people seem to lean wayyy too far into quackity being a villain to remember what *kind* of villain he is. he isnt like schlatt, who used political and perceived power to get his way. he isnt like dream, who slowly wittled down peoples defenses and convinced others that it was deserved and that he was in the right (to the point where people *still* believe what he said about tommy). he uses similar tactics, yes, but he's still his own kind of villain, and i truly do not believe quackity is going to kill tubbo when theres. not a very big benefit to doing so? at the least he gets the ire of ranboo and tommy. but its very likely that hes going to piss off a *ton* of people, because tubbo is like. very loved among the community, even most of the las nevadas citizens genuinely like tubbo (slime and quackity only being exceptions because we dont know exactly what their opinions are, but its unlikely that they dislike tubbo)

its unlikely for tubbo to permadie, and i think unlikely for beeduo and las nevadas' conflict to be much more than a moral conflict. hell, i think its more likely for ranboos focus on this conflict to cause an issue within the syndicate (ranboo and phil both focusing on tubbo and growing close with him, and weve been waiting for the ball to drop on technos response to it all, and it may come to a head with them all being apart of the las nevadas plot), or to even just tie up a lot of loose ends with various relationships (cough cough fundy and ranboo cough cough)

i also just dont think it works for the characters to have beeduo have a big fallout (or even really a big argument in general) or for quackity to cause such large harm to tubbo. like ive been trying to collect my thoughts on how beeduos relationship will develop for a while and i want to make a post about it but just as a general tubbo is canonically very loved and cared about on the smp, its very risky to cause harm to him and i feel like quackity would know that. also tubbo has never had a problem with people protecting him LMAO him and tommys entire relationship has been based around protecting each other, tubbo himself is very protective, i doubt tubbo would feel much more than annoyance at ranboos meddling and ultimately if he disagreed with ranboos morals i think he'd at least speak up about that (also tubbo honestly follows the "people not sides" thing in his own way, after all he and punz were always friendly, and hes friends with phil, literally married to ranboo, friends with sam, etc etc)

generally just like, i think tubbos story arc would be best if this led into a healing arc, like its very likely that someone will bring up him being a spy before and how it ended badly and tubbo wont be able to avoid it anymore, and with proper pressuring, yeah, i think he'd snap. but itd be cathartic, and also i do not think anyone around tubbo has the heart to just like, watch him break or even truly get satisfaction out of it. tubbo dying would only further his belief that his life doesnt matter, dream wouldnt revive tubbo, thats kind of just a given. canon wise, it makes sense for tubbo to survive (cough cough parallels to how tommy got out of exile, being the only president to live, also like he has a fucking son), and it makes sense for him to be able to genuinely get those around him to question their morals and how theyve treated him and others. i really do think tubbos arc is heading in a direction where hes gonna heal, and i think its absolutely going to be an emotional/moral struggle rather than a physical one

the people around tubbo have already encouraged him to be emotionally open before, just a bit more pushing and i think theres a chance. is tubbo going to break before he gets better? yeah, but i dont think its going to come in the form of him dying or even an argument with ranboo- which i just do not think will happen in the way most seem to think it will. they are genuinely good partners that love and care for each other, they consistently interact and work together on almost everything. yes they need better communication, but ultimately "i went/am going through a traumatizing experience and i didnt want to worry you by telling" is not a relationship breaker, neither of them are dangerous or harmful to each other. i understand the want to have a lot of action but thats likely going to come with the prison plotline, and tubbos relationships with the prisoners is a much different situation than his relationships with ranboo and quackity (INTENSELY different). hell, dreams in fuckin prison and is still a bigger danger to tubbo than ranboo and quackity could ever be
