-not ship, i imagine akira asked maruki to erase their romantic attachment to make it Easier on them + he distances himself quite a bit

-^ they're on "senpai" "yoshizawa-san" name basis again which is... actually a little easier on akira. haha

-this is like "sumire existed and died in the crash" (i know in maruki's ideal reality "sumire" just might not exist straight up)

-smth abt sumire having intense survivor's guilt over kasumi and now akira feeling the same over sumire. Yeha.. yeah..think about it...

-"kasumi" only tells "sumire" about how well her gymnastics are going because that's why Sumire Yoshizawa wanted to become her sister in the first place. to take on the world stage and be the best gymnast in the world......... because surely, that'd bring her happiness

-i imagine akira+sumi got to visit kasumi's grave once during 3rd sem, making this even more jarring... he'd been holding up relatively well until now:')

-"kasumi" doesnt wear earrings in this btw THATS KIND OF A NOTHINGBURGER DETAIL BUT

-after this i think akira begs maruki to let him Forget but (P2 SPOILERS KINDA YAYYYYYYYY) i really like the concept of all the sadness and despair and loneliness forked onto akira the way tatsuya has to carry that weight with him so like idk headcanon maruki and akira have to serve as the memokeepers of the past reality in order to keep the ideal reality together. so no can do buddy

Hey Ho, lovely anon! Always an interesting question, hehe.

Well, it's hard. I always struggle with how I imagine it. I like to think he wasn't in a relationship before. Not because I want him for myself only or anything, but because I just love the imagination of him being the lonely hacker who loves his family but doesn't need anyone besides them. Does that sound weird? I hope not. xD I mean, I don’t want him to be an outsider or something because others didn’t like him. Rather that he himself has always decided to be alone in a healthy way. But in general I would say, yes, he had a girlfriend/relationship before.

Maybe 1 or 2, but not more. Maybe one was a of a serious one. I could imagine it went like two years, maybe a bit more. And I can even imagine they moved in together, before all of this government-wanted thing happened. And maybe one for a couple of months that didn't work that well. Or it was good but simply not what both expected. But also before his time on the run, of course.

I think almost no one of us can imagine that Jake would easily enter a relationship. I think it took maybe a couple of months until they really became a couple with the first relationship. Maybe the second one went faster and that's why it didn't hold that long.

I would say, if Jake enters a relationship, he has the plan to keep it. I don’t think he would get close with whom he can't imagine a whole life. He doesn’t seem to me to take it that "lightly". And by this I do not mean that he doesn't understands that relationships can always end, no matter what the reason is.

But I think he is very sacrificing, passionate and caring in a relationship.

And of course, after he had to flee, this wasn't a topic for him at all. Until he met MC. ;)

Would love to hear other opinions, if anyone feels like sharing. But I hope my answer was somehow interesting or similar. I wasn't sure if I should add more to the topic. But I thank you a lot for asking this. I really appreciate it.

Had a rather awkward conversation with an immigrant student who seemed to have trouble understanding why I'm unmarried (well, technically, divorced) and childless at 35. This man trying to convince me that without one child I would not know true happiness, and that I should not be seeking out a man, he should find me—while I'm desperately trying to explain to him (and trying to remain calm because I have strong feelings about this) that I'm happy with the way I am right now, I have no desire to have children and I still have time to get married again etc etc.

i spend a lot of time working. I have two day jobs and I do freelance art (mostly for music promotionals) when I'm lucky enough to; I also have an actually insane passion for my own art that derives straight from hell. i work for corporations, I work for friends, i work for other artists; i work for money, i work for fun, i work out of spite--and with almost every single second on the in-between, I work on my own projects (at least half of which are seen here, but not everything.) my need to finish my never-ending projetcs is like an ember in my hand that will surely one day consume me whole. ...and when I'm not working or grinding my own art or getting eaten alive by my own brain, I try my damn best to support other artists, I spend good time learning about whatever spontaneously interests me, I consume art of all forms for more perspective...
