The first thing that Wars is aware of is the pain. It’s like he swallowed the hot coals at the bottom of a fire, a burning hot all-encompassing thing tearing through his chest. It pushes down on his mind, drowning out everything else, all other feelings and thoughts.

He fights it.

There’s a prickling impulse, something baser than thought, that suggests he shouldn’t. It gently whispers that he should let the pain swallow him whole, that he ought to let his eyes stay closed, that it would be better to let the blackness of unconsciousness reclaim him.

Still, Warriors fights. He doesn’t know how to do anything other than fight.

Because of recent events about some of the brawlers getting their ages confirmed-

Whatever headcanons I came up with for those brawlers in the past are, for the most part, irrelevant now. Mainly because I either overestimated or underestimated their age. So if you see an old headcanon of mine that makes you go “huh? 🤨” I just want to let you know, at the time, I didn’t know their official age.

Would have been amazing if soupsale just told us in the first place instead of waiting for years until people got upset with them to the point they had to cough up that information but it whatever >:[

Lil update for OOTW.

My chapter eleven document has seemingly disappeared. I have spent the majority of the day trying to figure out what the hell happened, but to no avail — I cannot figure out where it’s gone. Which means I need to rewrite it. At this point, with the frustration I feel over losing it and the week I’ve had, I don’t THINK it’s even remotely possible to have the chapter written and ready for posting tomorrow.

I’m not 100% sure if my plan is to just post it when it’s finished during the week, or, if I will just hold off on posting until next Sunday. 😫
