If I ever have kid/kids and they start saying creepy stuff or talking about their doll/dolls being alive...I WILL believe them...I am not taking any chances. I have seen enough horror movies, I will believe it. Dolls do get possessed, its a real thing. If my kid came up to me and said; "The doll said it wants to kill me" Or some shit like that.. I WILL CRY, TAKE THE DOLL TO THE CHURCH, GET THAT MF BLESSED, AND IF THAT DOESNT WORK I WILL GET IT LOCKED UP NEXT TO ANNABELLE.

I would be a great parent, none of that; "Oh its just a doll! Its not real!" None of that bullshit...even if my kid is just making up stories I am not taking any risks!

Come on...Annabelle is based off a real story, she is a real af demon doll...

And Child's Play isnt real but uhh.. Possessed dolls, yeah.

Damn I would be the best parent ever.

My 16-month-old son *insists* on flipping through an Indonesian amphibian fieldguide every evening. I think I have peaked as a parent 🥲

#amphibians #frogs #parenting #herpetology #science #the whole book is in Indonesian #so I cannot read it at all except the latin names and measurements #but the photos and layout are amongst the best of any fieldguide I have ever seen #it's basically the ideal book for babies #maximum frog #personal #we have taught him to put out his hand to receive animals to look at #and now when he finds something he holds out his hand and indicates I should put it on there #which is great and all #but he also does this for wasps and bees #and is very upset when he does not get the sharp insects #we are working on it

THE MOVIES AND THE GAMES CAN COEXIST AS SEPARATE UNIVERSES OF THE SAME CHARACTERS LIVING THEIR LIVES IN DIFFERENT WAYS, MKAY??

Once you accept this I can almost guarantee you'll be a much happier fan. I can testify. 😘

Sonic Wachowski ≠ Game!Sonic. Because they grew up in different environments and around different people in different circumstances, and that changed the way they turned out. I believe that if Wachowski grew up the same way Game! did, he would've turned out like Game! did. I also believe that if Game! grew up the same way Wachowski did, he would've turned out like Wachowski did. The core of this character is the same. In both the movies and the games, he's the fastest thing alive, he LOVES running, he loves his friends, he loves chili dogs, he loves living, and he will fight for what he believes is right. 💙

Just take into account the different worlds, the different lives, the different influences, and the fact that the movies are not trying to imitate the games (I thought this was obvious from day 1?) and it'll be a lot more fun in this fandom for you. In fact, you'll find you're a lot happier when you're actually taking time to love and appreciate the things you're interested in rather than just nitpicking about everything. 👌😜

When Machete became a cardinal, did his parents ever recognize him?

Machete's home village was on the other side of Italy (and separated by the sea no less) and it was small, relatively rural and remote. It's very unlikely many news about Holy See's happenings made their way there. I don't think his parents had any reason to expect to ever hear about him again, he seemed to be somewhat of a lost cause when they dropped him off.

#to my best understanding class divide was so immense you'd be very unlikely to ever encounter a single bishop in person let alone a cardinal #and people didn't move around like they do now chances are you'd die in the same town you were born in without ever leaving it #Machete tends to stick out visually and he's an important figure so maybe he's known by word of mouth even outside of the Vatican walls #if his parents met him they might maybe recognize him but he probably wouldn't recognize them #he doesn't remember much of anything from his early childhood #he doesn't go by his original birth name he was renamed at the monastery and has essentially reinvented himself since he became a cardinal #so ties to his sicilian past are largely cut I think #social classes were very fixed and rigid I believe one of the only ways to move to a higher status was to become part of the clergy #and again you needed to be at least passably literate to do that that was the largest roadblock #Machete may be kind of pathetic but his social climbing skills are nothing short of remarkable #part of it is just dumb luck but he is exceedingly hardworking and very very good at what he's doing #it took him less than 30 years to move from a provincial foundling to pope's right hand man #answered #anonymous #Machete

I have a ride or die headcanon that little Murtagh was obsessed with Morzan’s dragon. He absolutely loved him.

Murtagh sees him often enough from a young enough age that he’s never scared of him. So naturally, he’s absolutely enamored with the huge, beautiful, glittery, fire breathing monster that hangs out outside the house. He’s kept at a distance, but he’s still the dragon’s biggest fan. Murtagh’s very upset to learn that he doesn’t have a name which feels very unfair to him, so he musters up all his creativity and dubs him “Red”.

Morzan doesn’t always travel with his dragon when he leaves the estate, depending on what he needs to do. So sometimes the dragon stays and rests while Morzan is gone. During one such time, when Selena is also away on a mission, a freshly 3 year old Murtagh escapes his nurses and goes to Red. He’s careful at first, testing the waters gently, then getting increasingly close and comfortable with him when Red seems utterly unbothered. He’s no more than an ant next to the dragon’s enormous size. Murtagh is immediately in love, clambering all over him and constantly babbling to him, undeterred by the lack of response.

The servants do eventually find him after a frantic search. Morzan’s dragon doesn’t like any of the staff, so despite letting Murtagh nestle into the crook of his foreleg, he snarls and snaps at anyone who tries to get close enough to retrieve him. The servants are stuck in a grim dilemma, because no one’s willing to test the limits of a gargantuan, irascible dragon, and they don’t have anything to bribe Murtagh with that’s cooler than said dragon, so he refuses to budge. They’re absolutely terrified the dragon will kill him, either inadvertently or not.

After three full days of Murtagh glued to Red’s side, remaining miraculously unsquished, Morzan returns. The servants are in a cold sweat, stuttering and shaking like leaves in a storm as they try to explain that his son is fine, there’s no need for alarm, but there may be just a small issue. He goes to his partner and does with insulting ease what the staff have fruitlessly tried for three days, he steps right in and scoops Murtagh up. He looks completely unkempt and ignoble, dirty and scraped from being outside the whole time, giggling unrepentantly and singing Red’s praises.

To the servants great luck, Morzan finds this all quite amusing. Carrying Murtagh back to the house, he accuses, “Trying to replace me as the dragon Rider, are you?” and Murtagh cries, “Yes! Take me flying!” Morzan says that he will, but it never happens.

Selena is less thrilled when she learns of this, also afraid that the dragon might kill Murtagh in a moment of annoyance. But Murtagh adores him and she can’t reliably keep him away, so she tries to accept the incongruous match. Red doesn’t show any perceptible warmth to him, and yet he makes the effort to keep tabs on him and stops him from doing anything too dangerous. Of course, since the banishing of the names stunted his mind, the dragon doesn’t have any nuanced opinion of Murtagh, but he can recognize that his little ant feels incapable of malice and he comes to like Murtagh in the way he can. Learning of Red’s death on top of the loss of both his parents utterly devastates Murtagh.

After a little while in Uru’baen, Tornac asks Murtagh which parent he was closer to, and Murtagh tells him Morzan’s dragon. Tornac takes a very long, very strained breath, thinking Oh dear gods help me I have so much fucking work to do.

‪the hate for The Eternals (2021) continues to baffle me. they are by far some of the mcu’s most compelling characters and it has one of my favorite mcu storylines ever. they are everything that people pretend that the avengers were.‬ the cinematography is gorgeous, the action scenes are some of the most exciting since endgame, and the cgi soars above the phase 4 standard. the found family trope was executed so well, every character has complexities and backstories that are well-defined, and the relationships between each of them are what drive the entire thing. i get that taste is subjective but i literally love this movie so much and i cannot understand why more people don’t feel the same way
