I've been thinking about the class divide of the merchants vs the seam in district 12 and that's got me thinking about class division in other districts. Specifically I've been thinking about district 3, based on the real life circumstance of our technology parts being manufactured by scientists with high education and good wages vs them being assembled by people with terrible working conditions. I think that's something interesting to explore for district 3 in fics.

saw a post about it but lost it
anyway the main difference between "statements" in tma and tmagp is that in tma the people were scared, even those who later became avatars or were serving the fears. that was the theme - fear. but in protocol so far we only had people somewhat embracing those fears. and idk if it's because the fears are so different here maybe they're not even truly fears maybe they don't feast on terror. or maybe we're just seeing people we never got to see in tma, especially in episode 2. we wouldn't get a statement from Daria but rather those that came in contact with her.

Lol I wonder if Kusuo lost that final little bit of self worth once he stopped the volcano. Like that was his whole life goal all those years. He didn’t even give himself time to think of a future beyond that. And once he stopped it, what was there left for him to do? He’d served his purpose.
I genuinely think losing his powers at his young age wasn’t really a good idea. All of his worth is conflated with his powers, both in his own mind and in others. Think of how excited Toritsuka and Kusuke were that he was getting them back, regardless of how anxious it made Kusuo. Accepting them as part of himself was a good step in the right direction, but he needs to learn how to acknowledge that he is a person who has value beyond what his powers can do. It’s something I think that can only come with age for him. He needs time to unlearn everything he’s grown up believing.

I know it's easy to assume Lumon caused or faked Gemma's car accident but to me there's something really compelling about the possibility that they didn't. If they're truly doing medical research to save gravely injured people (and at what cost? Their freedom? Their entire personality?) that makes it so much harder to grapple with their cruelty

honestly i kind of love the fact that quite a few hengdian sets can be easily recognized in different wuxia/guzhuang dramas, because in a charming meta way it builds on the idea that the jianghu means different things to each person, and can be constructed and reconstructed countless times to focus on various aspects within a narrative. it's a stage of a world upon which a thousand different stories can play out, and that quality isn't bound by physical space or time. every story is taking place all at once, but it's a constant of a truth that they all exist in/on the jianghu

What if at the end of season five, they all move on, one by one outside button house at night. Each one says their goodbyes to Alison, and then leave. Then, after everyone got sucked off, there was only Robin left. And then he smiles back at Alison and slowly points at the stars, one by one naming them. It starts with the ghosts like Annie who already left, then moves on to all the ghosts she knew. And then he looks back at Alison and smiles, and then points at the moon and says, “Robin,” And then he leaves. What then.

Imagine if forging a pact with the demons was very useful for both parties involved. A human's strong soul, bound by contract, became a wellspring of sustenance for the demons, without the need for them to sacrifice someone to feed themselves. The pact enabled the extraction of fragments of the soul, a thing that wouldn't be possible without the contract.
They wouldn't have to kill so often.

"your experiences are not universal" aside as an asexual artist who lives like a fucking mole person I do truly enjoy coming across a person with like. Some small feature or stance or expression, some kind of ENERGY, and getting possessed by this compulsion to sit down and draw them, their hands, their chin, the curve of their ear, whatever weird ass shit that in the moment feels- I don't know. Magnetic?
Something that feels important to capture, in the moment, because I know they'll move or walk away or the vibe will change and it will be over, and we'll all grow and change and die and decay and nobody will ever see or remember the energy that this one person had one time the same way I did.
It's like... I don't know. This sounds so pretentious. It's like finding small fragments of something ancient buried in the dirt, and knowing that if you don't collect them then they'll just grind away into dust.
And it is a compulsion. It's like a hunger, or a thirst, or any other kind of need- to press a little bit of that momentary awe between the pages of an old book like saving a dried flower.
It won't be the same, really, but it's... special. It's important. Finding a little sliver of something incredible in strangers on the bus

ME AND MY BF @rockthejungle WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT PSYCHONAUTS BUT WE NOTICED A REALLY COOL THEME IN THE GAME THAT I THINK IS WORTH THINKING ABOUT:
so basically my boyfriend mentioned that morry must have a pretty high mental fortitude because in rhombus of ruin raz can’t use clairvoyance on him or speak to him telepathically like he can with sasha and milla. i sort of off-handedly suggested that maybe people who experience trauma at a young age have higher mental fortitude and OH MY GOD. WE DOVE DEEPER INTO THE IDEA AND. ITS A REALLY COOL CONCEPT ONCE YOU THINK ABOUT IT
we KNOW that morry has experienced a LOT of trauma at a young age because we’re explicitly shown the details of it, but we’re not really given any details into other peoples traumatic experiences until psychonauts 2 when we learn about lobotos early childhood trauma. assuming that the trauma really did increase lobotos fortitude, it would make a lot of sense why, in the first game, raz, someone who is very new to using his psychic powers, is unable to breach lobotos defenses and enter her mind.
while we arent explicitly shown any of the other characters childhoods, it would also explain why there are characters (cough cough crispin) that can defend against raz’ psychic portal without having any previous knowledge of the psychonauts. this may be something that im thinking way too far into considering its a very small aspect of the game but,,,, maybe just think about it

Y'know while we're on the subject of there being two "Cucuruchos." Does anyone else remember how the day after Cellbit was killed by Cucurucho, he found him having a cookout with Richas, being entirely too friendly. How he denied remembering anything when Cellbit demanded answers.
But that Cucurucho was... silly, he was "eccentric." goofing around, dancing and playing with Richarlyson.
What if it wasn't playing mind games, it was just... Osito Bimbo, not Cucurucho.
