The third series of Apple TV’s Trying proves a bit of a disappointment as it goes too sweet
“Never mind the spuds love, this is an emergency”
Over two seasons, Apple TV series Trying has utterly charmed me, Andy Wolton’s writing nailing the perfect bittersweet Britflick tone to make this a genuinely affecting look at the challenges of contemporary city living for a no-longer-quite-that-young…
Y/N had to bite back the moan that threatened to escape his lips as he felt James Jr. playing his bare ass like bongos, while he casually watched something on Netflix.
It wasn't the weirdest thing they've ever done, but it was certainly a new kink. If you could even call it that. Bucky Jr. was like his father, Bucky Sr. A flirt that left you red all over with excitement and embarrassment.
Bucky Jr. smacked his ass hard and squeezed and tugged on his bare butt cheeks as Y/N gripped the sheets of his bed and buried his face in a nearby pillow and moaned. James smiled and laughed at Y/N's reaction.
Are the Barnes Triplets different actors or characters?
Hi, nonnie! The Barnes Triplets are not different Seb characters. So they aren't Bucky, Nick, and Hal, for example. They are different versions of Bucky and their names are James, Jeremy, and Jordan. ❤️
If I were to do an AU where Bucky had different brothers or cousins, it would be fun to use other Seb characters. Or OC's who could pass as being related to Bucky, brothers or cousins:
A screenshot of items in Peter Doherty's atelier in France, from Peter's interview with Louise Theroux - apart from the (for me) unidentifiable objects, there's James Joyce's book. I would like to think that it's Ulysses (a reference to What A Waster* - see below), but seems more like a book about James Joyce. My second best guess is that it's A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man*, because that would be just the kind of reference I could see Peter making now.
*The Ulysses line in What A Waster:
When she wakes up in the morning
She writes down all her dreams
Reads like the Book of Revelations
Or the Beano, or the unabridged Ulysses
*In A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Joyce's autobiographical novel, the character (i.e. Joyce) lives in a "self-exile" in Europe. There are many other things in this book which I could connect to Peter (and really, to artists in general), but I'd like to highlight this epigraph which this book starts with, it's from Ovid's Metamorphoses:
Et ignotas animum dimittit in artes.
("Then to new arts his cunning thought applies")
And in Ovid's Metamorphoses, the line continues as "And to improve the work of Nature tries".
In my favourite article on A Portrait, Nicoleta Stanca explains this epigraph (and the mythological connections which Joyce makes in his book) as follows:
This description by Ovid pays homage to Daedalus, the first sculptor who allegedly created statues with legs apart and the first man who attempted to fly with wings created by himself. Joyce masterfully impregnates his entire narrative with references to the story of the labyrinth and the Daedalian figure. Moreover, Daedalus both begins and ends the novel, if we consider Stephen’s final invocation to the “Old father, old artificer”.
Let’s be Collaborative...with James Cullen Bressack

Director and Screenwriter James Cullen Bressack was warned about the “difficult” Shannen Doherty years ago, but he wanted to work with her anyway. What he found was a life-long friend and collaborator. She found in him an unwavering support system on AND off his movie sets. The filmmaker joins Shannen for a hilarious and brutally honest conversation about the movies they’ve made, their ups and downs, and what could be her next role!
Y/N is greeted by Bucky Jr. in nothing but a witches hat. Bucky Sr. Accidentally walks in.
Bucky Jr., or James, as Y/N liked to call him, asked Y/N to come to his house this evening so he could show him his costume for Tony's Halloween party this weekend. Thinking nothing of it, Y/N went to the Barnes' house.
Mr. Barnes wasn't home when Y/N arrived. From what James said, he was out having drinks with Steve, so they'll have the house to themselves. He exited the car and knocked on the front door as he waited for Bucky Jr. to open up the door. There was a buzzing in his pocket and he fished out his phone as he got a text from him.
Door's open. Come inside and to my room. 👍
Y/N thought that was weird, but nevertheless, he opened the door and walked up to James's room. It was quiet. Usually he found Bucky Jr. playing Call Of Duty or Mortal Kombat. Sometimes he listens to 80s rock music but tonight it was quiet. He knocked on his door. "James? Open up, it's me, Y/N."
There was a movement on the other side of the door as the door was swung open and Bucky Jr. smiled at Y/N. His blue eyes were sparkling with mischief and it was then that Y/N realized that he was naked except for a red witch's hat on his head.
"What do you think, Y/N? Am I bewitching?"
Y/N let his eyes travel down James's smooth and muscled tone body. His cock was flaccid, but long. He tried not to whimper or moan as he looked at him. "What the hell are you wearing? What is this, your onlyfans Halloween special?"
Bucky Jr. chuckles. "More like, getting into your pants." He whispered huskily as he grabbed his jean covered ass and pulled him close until dicks met. James smiled and leaned down to whisper in his ear. "I want your hot mouth on my cock, sweetheart."
Y/N whimpers and as James leans down for a kiss, Mr. Bucky Sr. Entered the room. "James? What do you want to eat for din–woah! What is going on here?!" Why was his son naked? And why was he about to kiss his best friend?
"Mr. Barnes! It's not what it looks like." Y/N gasped.
"It's exactly what you think it is, papa." Bucky Jr. smiled.
WAIT WAIT in the new Libertines song they lead into the chorus with, “And the radio says,” … is this a Blur reference??? Are we having a “This is a Low” moment???!!
Break out the whiteboard and the red string, cause we’re talking DC! We can’t wait to hear what James Gunn has planned for DC Studios, but in the meantime we’re giving our fancasts for a new Justice League!
