Time is a Dual Light/Shadow, Lightning is a Dual Light/Fire, Twilight is it's own thing (because alternate dimensions make everything more complicated) but is most closely related to Shadow, Oni is Light-Aligned but his curse is Spirit-Aligned, the Divine Beasts are individually powered by whatever Branch their pilot aligns with, the Terminian Giants are Spirit-Aligned, and by fey I assume you mean the Fairies and they would be Light-Aligned

So, Booster would have loved to know that becoming the equivalent of a Time-Cop would mean meeting what is apparently the primordial being of Time itself. He would have also loved to know it apparently also came with an adoption. And a small child that was apparently supposed to be sixteen but there was apparently some sort of accident in the dimension he (was the kid a boy??) came from. So. 

He had a kid now. He… well shit, he had no clue what to do. Actually, he knows exactly what he’s going to do, he’s going to call Ted. Who will probably have an idea on what to do. Or what a four- oh you’re five? He’d probably have an idea on what a five year old might need. 

He himself would push this hysterical breakdown over the fact he’s apparently now adopted by Time Itself to a later time. A later time when he’s not holding a fragile small child.

#i don't think i realised before that the entire lief section of book one takes place in like. less than 24 hours lol. #lief truly gets home after sunset learns about his parents' past learns barda's secret gets a sword a cloak a map a belt and a quest #sneaks out of the city with barda wanders into the forest gets caught by monsters gets looted by some random girl almost gets eaten #has a treetop midnight snack sets out again travels branch to branch for the rest of the night fights a ghost almost dies AGAIN #gets saved by the same random girl who was looting him earlier brings barda back to life and finds a magic gem. #by which point it's like brunchtime the next day. truly one of the birthdays of all time. #deltora quest #roddacember #roddacember 2023

Thinking abt trolls 3 and why it picked up so much traction compared 2 the other 2 movies. Like technological advancements aside I think the main thing is just the character lineup.

Movie one was mostly branch and poppy. All the kidnapped trolls operated as One entity really so it’s not like u could particularly??? Care about them too much. Bridget and Gristle were really really fun but the villain wasn’t anything particularly special or noteworthy judging by just how little people. Talk about her. OH and also creek was there (literally forgor im rereading this for typos and adding this now) but like. Oh no the guy who showed up for like 5 minutes is a Bad guy and im supposed to care about the quest to save him mostly just because theyre telling the audience they should care because Poppy cares . But theres just not a lot of setup (and Creeks just not that. Interesting?)

Second movie had considerably More bangers and was definitely going in the right direction character wise. But it had the Opposite problem with wayyy too many guys that were really interesting and not a lot of time to do anything with them. You get King Trollex’s intro, Biggie, Cooper and Prince D and their parents, Delta Dawn, and Allll the bounty hunter trolls, PLUS Barb and the rock trolls. Barb was definitely a prime example of a major upgrade from the movies, having a villain that the audience actually vibed with and u could Tell by fan reactions I think. (Parb sweep) But there was just. Sooo so much, on top of the lore dump and a plot that you really had to get cool with really quick to get invested in. theres a bunch of new trolls and these strings that are definitely super important promise (lie)

The third one feels like they finally like. Know what theyre doing. With their own universe. No big lore dumps, theres not even any Explanation for what Mount Rageous is, they just introduce you to it and the Rageons with confidence thru Velvet and Veneer and expect you to get it. Plus, theres still a lot of characters, but theyre much more tangibly connected now. All the brozone brothers are well established and have preestablished relationships with each Other so even if we dont get much time with them it doesn’t feel like theyre that out of place. It still requires some suspension of disbelief vis a vis “Branch had Four super secret brothers hes Never mentioned,” but they make it work and frankly, the set-up is a lot more easier to get invested in than “secret magical strings that Invented Magic I Guess.”

And with Brozone and Viva theres a connection To the main characters rather than just being tag-alongs for tag-alongs sake. They’ve all got their own niches to make them individually compelling but theres a connecting thread here so they still feel like they’re a part of the story. And they’re all there to do something!! And then Velvet and Veneer of course continue the vibe that Barb had of being villains with enough screen time and personality that you like them As characters and arent just viewing them as The Plot Obstacle. Which is cool i think. Overall i just think the third movie felt a Lot more confident to do what the fuck ever and thats Really good.

it's kind of weird, but i think my absolute favorite trees in HFW are the forests you get just out-of-bounds on the burning shores map. all but one of these pics were taken in the black parts of the map, and there's something about this (i'm assuming) completely-procedurally-generated landscape that is very enticing. the forest here is denser, the ground steeper. fighting a machine here would be very hard. but exploring it? i could spend hours. (or at least until the game kicks me out with a reload *grumble grumble*)

Hello and welcome to “Stick Weaponry”. Where I find and you send sticks found in the wild to review.

You may ask yourself: “Why make posts where you rate sticks used as imaginative weapons?”

My answer is……

So anyway, first stick is a sword/enhanced wand. It has a strong and thick hilt/grip to it to hold as a sword. It also has small branches to rest your arm on and use as a more controlled close encounter sword.

With this mode you can also use it as a insane wand that’s illegal to use in most wand duals. Best fit for the underground wand arenas.

I give it a 8/10 for comfort and dual usage.

We also have a Staff

It’s almost my height and can hold on it’s own for a walk. However, it may not be strong enough for hikes or adventures with a party in tow. 7/10

i need to draw this part of mochi more but she is honestly, from an onlookers perspective, very weird. and the reason for it is that she has a habit of collecting and hoarding old, gross, used, useless, or otherwise unwanted things.

as a witch, anything can be used all spell ingredients because objects in the world inherently have properties that can be used for spells (think botw where its like "old snail shell can boost speed" kind of thing), and often times the properties are stronger AFTER said object has been gently to moderately used. an eraser has good properties for glue spells BUT a used and chewed on eraser has STRONGER properties for glue spells

so when she was a little kid, in school you could catch her on the floor scraping up eraser shavings that a kid brushed off his desk. the teacher tries to empty out the pencil shavings bin and mochi ZOOMS in with a jar to catch all of it before it goes into the trash. a kid sticks their gum under the desk and 10 minutes later mochi is on the floor scraping it off and putting it in a little box. and when they were young it really FREAKED lime out, but over time hes like "Whatever, you do you i guess." (shes trying to be a good little witch-to-be and help her mom collect potion ingredients)

as she grows up she gets better at blending in and and uhh NOT doing that, but occasionally you'll still catch her picking up old chewed on pencils, rusty paper clips, soggy pieces of paper, whatever off the floor

#young lime was an asshole and encouraged it #lime: oh look...a half-empty carton of chunky milk in the dumpster... #mochi 2 seconds later: (fishing it out) #lime: (WHEEZING AND TAKING PHOTOS) #poor mochi #shes the type of gamer who collects every single collectable item no matter if she needs it or not #older lime still encourages it but hes less of an ass #she sees a torn up shoe in a tree outside the school and wants to grab it but doesnt want to call attention to herself #lime just sighs and grabs it out of the branches for her #theres so much spell ingredient shit in the greenhouse where they keep all the magic stuff #most random things ever #in a jar youll see a frost-bitten chicken breast in motor oil #mochi: that needs to marinate more to be useful #lime: ?????????????

It is interesting to me that so much of dunamancy in Campaign 2, and specifically the items and spells relating to motes of possibility, portrayed it as a brief rewinding of time to try again. And then there's Ashton, head full of congealed potion of possibility, and yet it's "But I figure I'm always going to be a bit broken, and I'm okay with that. I can work just fine." and "it's not about changing things...it's about more of her. Just making more of her here." And sure they believe the others are alive but what's more important is that if they're not, they can bring them back, like they did once before. Zero investment in trying to rewind.
