Big old shark man, the first owner of Samehada. In my HC, the swords originally belonged to a troupe of pirates from the land of water.

After all the pirates died, their swords were left at their graves. Eventually (years after they were all dead) some crazy mist ninja thought they were sick and BOOM, the first generation of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen.

I imagine this guy was a fisherman/butcher who was struggling to make ends meet, turned to piracy and joined a troupe. Probably a predecessor to the hoshigaki clan.

This story is for @dominaaurum and @kurakura0-0 who introduced me to both Kagura and Shizuma. It's also for @denialcity who kindly gave me permission to use their idea about how a particular song becomes a love song that the whole Uchiha clan knows, as well as @misttiddies, @dawen and @shinigami-mine who inspired the scene in chapter 12.

Itachi lays out the morning meal, keeping his anxiety to himself as much as he can.

His hands are steady as he places rice and fish at everyone's places, his back is straight and his movements graceful, but he knows that his fretting is still visible in the overly precise positioning of each dish.

Hinata-kun pats his wrist, a gentle reassurance, and he smiles at her ruefully. She can read him just as easily as he reads her, even without their dōjutsu, and they both know it, but he can't bring himself to act naturally today.

NARUTOP99 was a worldwide poll to determine the most popular character of the original Naruto manga. From December 17, 2022 through January 31, 2023, fans of the series could vote once per day for one of 488 possible characters. The results were announced in April 2023. A special manga omake featuring the most popular character, illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, will be released at a later date.

The 488 candidates are seemingly compiled from the four supplementary databooks: Rin no Sho, Tō no Sho, Sha no Sho, and Jin no Sho. As such, characters that were not featured in any of the databooks, notably Boruto Uzumaki and his age group, are not included. This also means that some characters are listed twice, notably "Tobi" and "Obito Uchiha".

Thank you for the incredible amount of votes! It was fun seeing how results varied from region to region. I was shocked to see Minato at the top for all regions, and the fact that Sakura is so beloved by many people around the world made me proud as a writer. To tell you the truth, I was actually rooting for Kurama. I was planning on drawing only the top 20 characters, but I really wanted to add Kurama, who was close at 22nd... So I ended up including him and Guy, who was in 21st place! Sorry for completely ignoring the original plan to have the top 20 characters for the 20th anniversary because of my personal attachment. Right now I'm working on the short manga for Minato who placed 1st. While trying to make a story that would match the expectations of his fans, I ended up with more pages than I had originally anticipated. Jack Sparrow's little sister from a different mother. She is a supporting character in a fan fiction story I wrote (The Hot Winds of the Caribbean), but I also included her in the same RP as Ana. She has no ship, but she wants one, meaning a boat kind of ship.

Aikiwa Yume

Fandom: Naruto

A young woman who didn’t know about her origins. She started as a self-insert (Afi) but grew as her own character, and I gave her another name.

Akatsuki ordered Uchiha Itachi and Hoshigaki Kisame to kidnap Yume without telling them the reason. Later, it was revealed she had been brought out of Konoha before Itachi had slaughtered his whole clan, so she is actually an Uchiha, too.

Yume is shipped with Itachi, and I wrote a 150 000 word story “The Red Dawn” based on that roleplay. The RP story is an AU where Itachi survives but becomes blind after his fight with Sasuke. Yume has twins with him at the end of the story.

*sit down kiddies. It's going to be a long story that I'm going to try to keep it short.*

I was about 13 years old when Toonami started showing the anime Naruto and I remembered that back then. I wasn't really into the Naruto fandom or any fandom. (I also was a major Sonic the Hedgehog fan back then.)

And believe it or not, it was the chuunin exams and Orochimaru of all characters that brought my attention to the anime into watching it. The whole "predator and prey" mentality and the brutal tests from the show had me hooked. And what made me a complete fan?

The moment when Kisame Hoshigaki showed up with the promise of wanting to cut off Naruto's legs in order to make him easier to carry. And I only kept reading just so that I can see both Orochimaru and Kisame.

That... was when I was hooked to the show. Especially when Itachi scared the crap outta me too with his brutal beating of Sasuke who at the time we all thought that he was the gifted.

Was it hilarious that I never once had an anime crush or was ship obsessed when I was in the fandom? I just loved the show because of the fights! I also remembered crying a lot when Naruto and Sasuke are fighting each other at the end of the first season of Naruto because, "They were friends, I can't believe that it has come to this..."

As for the origins of this Kabuto blog and it's creation? You should thank @kimimarothechosenvessel for encouraging me to make it!

I was merely a invisible OC blog and a Manda rp blog in the past when I haven't really got the hang of roleplaying with people and it was when the fandom was thriving and full of people. And as awkward as it was, I always wanted to rp with an Orochimaru and Kabuto blog to go with my OC and Manda (as in the Orochimaru's snake summon). But unfortunately a lot of them were either very selective, private, or just outright rude to you or problematic rpers with bad reputations. And when I was trying to roleplay with a (now gone) very popular kabuto blog with a thread or even just an offer of friendship to get to know them.

Without even saying a word or at least a reason, they outright ignored and blocked me while rping with other people and even OCs just fine. Just like as if I didn't even exist to them.

That day, and after so many rejections and when I had a friend who was a Kabuto blog that decided to leave the fandom for personal reasons and I had the chance to say goodbye to them.

I decided to become my own Kabuto blog. One that I won't even have that worry of being rejected or even thinking of having to try to impress the "elites" when I can just have fun my own way.

So while I had my own worries about my portrayal, Kimimaro mun convinced me into making the blog and was quite patient with me at the start till I started to get the hang of it. And then before you know it? I had this blog for years and it's still going strong! Kabuto still captivates me as a character on his own and even now, I still am learning new things from him. Sure that I'm not a super popular blog nor aesthetically beautiful enough to gather attention or is my writing as perfect as a lot of peoples. But isn't the whole purpose of roleplaying is to have fun?

I guess I could say that perhaps I was a bit annoying in the past, even if I did learn from it and how hard roleplayers have nowadays. But even then, I wouldn't be as cruel enough as to ignore such requests and treat people like crap. Even then, tbh I still have my own troubles with this blog and even being canon roleplay blog doesn't spare you from the pain and drama that happens in the community and in private messaging from your former and current friends.

I guess you could say that I picked Kabuto... because I myself really wanted a friend who was a kabuto roleplayer so I decided to become one for everyone!
