What do you think of good Belos au's / au's where he's not a complete piece of garbage?

I like them!

There are a few that I like, such as “Humanity and Its Consequences,” which is an AU where Philip and Luz swap places with each other. A few other fics I like are “Reasoning With Crazy,” “Blunt Force Trauma” (Philip gets hit on the head with a collapsing ceiling and ends up believing the backstory he made up to be Belos is real), and (naturally) “Was Not The Hero.”

Some AUs you can find here on tumblr that I’m fond of are The Bone of Ortet AU, the Twin Rulers AU, the AROFAM AU.

I love the way these different works illustrate the various aspects of Philip’s personality and show his growth and/or descent as time goes on. They’re interesting and well thought out. If that’s your cup of tea, I’d really suggest you give them a look!

What's the biggest difference between how you write Tag Team Belos and Reasoning with Crazy Belos?

Oh, THAT'S a good question.

I think the main difference is that I'm writing Tag Team Belos as an antagonist still, whereas Reasoning With Crazy Belos is in this nebulous redemption area. Both are incredibly out of character when compared to canon Belos, since they care about someone other than themselves without ulterior motives to a degree, but RWC Belos cares about – to his knowledge – a random teenage witch a LOT more than could be explained normally. It's why there's an OOC warning at the beginning of the fic.

Overall, I write RWC Belos as someone who is capable of character development (incredibly ooc), and TT Belos I try to keep as fucked up as he is in canon with a dash of emotional projection/possessiveness.

The thing is. When you take the autism test. And you see your score is in the 100 to 160 range. You think. Oh this is probably the middle? Middle autism. Tinge of autism. Your relatives calling you bright but shy autism. Just a whiff of autism. And then you see the score ranges. And you go. This test is lying to me there is absolutely no way the majority of people score under 65. The 65 number is such a low cutoff and so many of these experiences are clearly universal a score under 65 is something they made up in a lab. People who score under 65 are obviously scoring just under that mark from 59 to 64 and they’re also obviously lying or purposely misrepresenting their experiences as less severe than they are. And then you find out there are real people who get a 20 or 30 or 7 on it. And you go. Ah

I think it'd be funny if postcanon Falin was able to rationalize everything Marcille did as like. "She was just pursuing her dream of being able to be with everyone she loves and she loves me so saving me was a secondary part of that."
