Been getting into Thor/Piratesoftware's content the past few days (found him through a super interesting stream with Alok/Healthygamer) and wanted to see if there were any fans of his on Tumblr since he seems to be a huge positive force in the indie game dev community!

Onlyy to see one of the top posts under the Piratesoftware tag is people saying to uninstall his game Heartbound because he decided to stream Hogwarts Legacy 😭 you guys are so unbelievably annoying. Use your brains man.

It was so tiring to watch the storm you guys caused over that fuckin game. As if trying to boycott the game was gonna make any kind of dent in JKR's wallet. As if it was gonna change her, or anyone else's views on trans people.

And then mindlessly wishing harm on people you don't know/don't care to know because you've decided to jump on the bandwagon of "Hogwarts Legacy is an evil to all trans people", trying to rally together to ruin the lives of creators who ever dared to have their own opinions on the matter.

I'll never forget the shit people started over Hasan wanting to stream the game. That man's raised MILLIONS for the causes he supports and you couldn't let him do the same for us? Trans people are being stripped of their rights and you'd give up the opportunity to raise a significant amount of money, just so your streamer doesn't play the stupid Harry Potter game??

It blows my mind to this day.

And then seeing the same bullshit for Thor, like come on. It takes all of two seconds to understand the person he is and the damage you're doing by attempting to take down everything he's built for playing a game you've incorrectly labeled as a harm to trans people.

I don’t want to start drama but I’ve seen some concerning posts floating around about how distasteful and disappointing it is to see certain creators “support” Dorian and I hate to break it to you guys, but if you’ve ever interacted, shared or created anything regarding The Arcana you are supporting Dorian yourselves.

Being in the fandom alone is supporting Dorian by creating engagement, publicizing the game and being part of the audience they’re trying to target.

And even if you were to delete your whole blog and everything you’ve ever posted to enjoy the original game in private you would still be supporting Dorian by bringing traffic to the app they now own.

The one and only way you have to stop supporting Dorian, if you care about it so much, would be to distance yourself from the series entirely and go join another fandom. Never play the original game ever again and never interact with any fan creation regarding it from now on. 👋

Was watching Sugar Apple Fairy Tale and my mind immediately went to a RitaMorf AU to give me some fluff on this fine weekend.

I think it would be cute if Morfonia was a baker in a small town only to learn the protective charm given by her late parents held the wing of a warrior fairy who came to take it back. She hands it over immediately after finding out bc the fairy looks intimidating af and decides to feed them after learning they were hungry. Said fairy seemed to have grown a liking to her sugar sculptures even though she never made any until that night so she offers to let Rita work for the bakery in exchange for food and shelter.

Just something cute and Rita being a complete guard dog for Morfonia in the town even though they chose to stay with her and she learns how to make better sculptures for Rita and I'm crying again. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡
