So earlier I was a talking to a friend about Suicide Squad KTJL, & mentioned how people have been saying Gotham Knights should've been the Arkhamverse sequel game & have suicide squad be in it's own separate continuity, & she said "It should have been!", so it got me thinking.

Thinking about what if Gotham Knights was ArkhamVerse, & how it not only would've been a great send off for ArkhamVerse Batman but also a beautiful send off for Kevin Conroy as Batman, given how that game deals with Batman's passing and showing how the Bat Family (and Alfred) are handling and processing that loss.

& thinking about this what if version of Arkhamverse Gotham Knights and if that game been the last project Kevin worked on, and listing to the Mask of the Phantasm OST (including the credits song "I Never even told you") got me feeling so unbearably sad about Kevin's passing. To the point where I just started crying and balling my eyes out.

For most of my life Kevin Conroy was THE voice of Batman, and not only does it still hurt that he's gone, but also that his 2nd to last project (long believed to be his last) ended up being this super mean spirited and shitty game that feels like it was made by and for people who hate the DC heroes, while the prior Batman game, Gotham Knights was/is such a wonderful send off for a Batman we never got to really know, on top of having a lot of love and care and respect for the source material and it's characters.

Needless to say, when I said "Suicide Squad Kills the Justice League hurts my soul", I truly mean that. and for as much as I LOVE the new continuity introduced in Gotham Knights, and Michael Antonakos as this game's Batman, I do really wish it was ArkhamVerse with Kevin as Batman. God I miss Kevin Conroy so much. It still hurts man.

Also For an additional bit of context I forgot to mention, I was listening to the Batman Mask of the Phantasm OST for a video edit i'm working on (and will be sharing once I beat Gotham Knights on stream). This also in turn got me in the mood to Rewatch Mask of The Phantasm, which is still a Masterpiece (even if the currently available version/transfer of the film doesn't look great).

I made a soundtrack for a film in my head in the style of the music of John Carpenter, Vangelis, and Suicide for reasons unknown.

A theme for a body horror biopunk/cyberpunk character study of a girl who does nothing but live for the violence and danger of the corporate security force (read: death squad) lifestyle, enjoying the internal stardom until conspiring suits plan her downfall….

yep, I saw photos of how they promoted the groups, so I expected more? I'm still not sure what they were thinking about diamond. I agree, they should've just sang it. Should've just asked Hongjoong to do one.

I was lowkey hoping for actual bops. Imitation could've been like the dramas where even if the plot isn't so spectacular, the OST would be god-tier or something.
