WHO’S OC IS IT ANYWAY!?

So I came up with a bit of a drawing challenge with my friend @menthum-mint where we create an OC based on the OTHER’S common OC tropes! Things like features, anatomy, personalities, backstories, and whatever get driven and inspired by the other person’s characters! Basically you end up creating OCs that tend to be really fresh from your usual concepts because— technically speaking— your using different concepts!

This guy I ended up creating is Eriole! He’s got a bit of a smokey, wispy exterior with a pretty intricate outfit design! My friend does a lot of smokey/fiery designs with hollow, pupil-less eyes and pretty detailed outfit designs, so that was sure adopted for him! He’s also got a unique ability to him about him being able to change his body colors or camouflage more like an octopus’s rather than a chameleon’s! Something my friend might also incorporate on various occasions is said character having some ironic element contrasting to their abilities— so despite Eriole having a color changing gimmick, the man’s actually epileptic and probably should be careful about when and how he utilizes his strengths…!

Genuinely this little challenge was a whole lot of fun!! I’m also doing another one with another friend so be on the lookout for that!

WHO’S OC IS IT ANYWAY!?

AHHHHHHH so me and @pazam decided to give a crack at doing a “Who’s OC is it anyway!?” challenge like I did with my other friend before!! This one was real interesting and I ended up taking some creative liberty with figuring this one out— end I ended up with a REALLY BANGER DESIGN WAIT PLEASE WHAT GHTRGR

I named her Dreamyard! She’s a bit of a mystical entity that emits a sweet incense-like smoke all around her— most notably through her nose! She’s a very dainty creature (might even be a species…?) that aimlessly floats about while leaving behind a sweet aroma in her path. Though the smoke is thick, it’s spoken to have healing properties and can help relax restless souls in desperate need of a better day! Her softer colors are pleasant to admire up close and she makes a great companion to sit down and chat to, even when she doesn’t say much all the time. Other than that, she can also be quite a goofy character when in a really good mood, twirling around in the air or trying to puff out specific shapes with her colorful smoke!

Words are not always her forte— she might make little noises in delight or sorrow, or really whatever she’s feeling at the moment, but talking aloud is limited to when she’s feeling stimulated enough to feel the need to. Other than that, she’s got a good knack for noticing little details in colors and has a… pretty scarily impressive talent in memorizing colors and their hex codes! Quite a charming specimen! Not sure how she figured that out but to each their own!

Well ok less like a band and more of general. Performance group. I saw someone mention one time that they hced that Bruce used to do drag and it has NOT left my brain so Bruce drag group baby!!

I imagine he performed with them sometime before meeting Brandy, and it sort of reintroduced him to enjoying performing again after a dry spell post BZ breakup. Gets more confident in performing again without having to keep up the chiseled heartthrob boyband persona anymore or something.

And my designs for his old group!! Around his age currently in the ref. They definitely had different styles when they all first met but I’ve already drawn far too much for this post good lird.

They parted on decent terms but i think it was a little shaky on account of. Idk. Something something im thinking of parallels between sugar and JD leadership wise but thats not important. But they meet back up again later and i think theyre all on very good terms currently :o]

Ok and finally the whole reason i even started this in the first place to draw that funny guy in a dress. They (affectionately) rope him back into performing with them when they visit Vacay Island and he updates his old look for the hell of it. Very Dionysus coded.

genuinely despise the way straight writers write about butch suffering. it's always some tired dogshit like "she was hurt by a man so now she's cold and bitter and mannish, if only she'd heal, then she'd become her natural feminine self again!" which sucks because i absolutely would love to watch a relatable butch character go through something harrowing and emerge victorious, just not if it was written by someone who seems to have misunderstood the basic nature of my existence
