Ideas maturing from debut album to Unheard
In Work Song, "no grave can hold my body down, I'll crawl home to her." Addiction, imprisonment, crimes, death itself are no obstacle to love.
10 years later, Too Sweet acknowledges that more mundane obstacles like career, sleep schedule, and lifestyle/personality differences, can break two people apart.
In A Week is a gentle duet, full of nature descriptions, coming to the conclusion that it would be peaceful & romantic to lay down and die together.
10 years later, Wildflower & Barley is a gentle duet, full of nature descriptions, and the awareness that death is all around. But this time, the singers wish to be like the dirt, not to decompose but to work towards growing something new

It's National Invasive Species Awareness week! Invasive species can interfere with ecosystems by changing natural processes such as fire severity, water availability, and flooding patterns. They also threaten the survival of native plants and wildlife, and can even endanger human health. Here at Mount Rainier National Park we have an Ecological Restoration Crew dedicated to the prevention and removal of invasive plant species in the park.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NPS employees and Mount Rainier National Park Associate volunteers work together each summer to remove Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense) in the Longmire Meadow. This species has extensive underground root networks which make control and removal difficult. With the help of volunteers we're able to make a huge dent in the population and prevent them from spreading to nearby areas. NPS/K. Popek Photos, 7/26/22.
Tumblr media
Controlling the spread of invasive plants helps protect our beautiful and unique native wildflowers such as these scarlet paintbrush (Castilleja miniata) and Cascade penstemon (Penstemon serrulatus). NPS/A. Borges Photo, 7/21/22.
Tumblr media
Controlling invasive plant species can be tough work! They grow on steep slopes, roadsides, cliff faces, and within river channels making access very challenging at times. The Ecological Restoration Crew works hard to reach these difficult to reach places. NPS/K. Popek Photo, 7/21/22.
How can you help? Make sure to clean your hiking and camping gear before you head outdoors to stop invasive plants from hitching a ride to a new location. Other actions you can take are planting non-invasive plants in your home garden, familiarizing yourself with invasive species in your area, and using weed-free certified feed for your animals.
Tumblr media
While still very beautiful, invasive species such as foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) can cause harm by outcompeting native species. Foxglove are also toxic to both wildlife and humans. NPS/K. Bacher Photo, 7/16/22.
Thanks for helping us prevent the spread of invasive species!

For the start of Solarpunk aesthetic week can we get a chain of flowers growing from random cracks. Think it'll be a simple way to see how many people we can get interested.

Erisweek2023 “From the Ashes, the Wildflowers Grow” Fic MasterList
I didn’t have time to make a pretty info graphic but this is the layout of the fic I’ll start posting tomorrow 9/17. Underline means the post is live.
Day 1: Family
Day 2: High Lord*
Day 3: Secrets
Day 4: Autumn Equinox (The Hunt)**
Day 5: Dancing
Day 6: High Lord Bonus Chapter
Day 6: Extra Bonus chapter
Day 7: Free Day (Beginnings)
Chapters were originally posted in reverse to match the day theme. Each chapter was posted separately and linked above.
Summary: What started as a random encounter became something more. A navigation of points in time to when Eris finally gets his happy ending.
Update: All chapters on ao3 are are in order Read it here.
Notes and other items in the read more.
*Day 2 and 6 are ones that can be read together by themselves if you want. Those do not contain interactions with the OC.
**Day 4 will be 18+. Loosely inspired by a reader/Eris fic on here that I need to find and tag (it was months ago). Mostly the idea of a chase in the woods part.
Names for the Unnamed Vanserra Brothers: Piran, Asher, Cillian, Hector (deceased), Leon (deceased).
OC is named Celeste. She is from Spring.
Fic is in 3rd person.
I did not give Lady of Autumn a name. There are too many to choose from and I didn’t want to accidentally use one someone else has been using. Also it’s predominately Eris’s POV; he doesn’t call her by her first name.
Minor Elucien. Very minor, mostly in Day 1. Also implied healing between the Vanserra family. Implied healing between Tamlin and Lucien.
I might published an eighth chapter to bridge the gap between chapters 2/6 and chapter 1. No promises it will be ready in time tho.

Started setting up the new seed tray. Partner really wants homegrown tomatoes this year and since this year shouldn't have drought restrictions, it'll be easier to grow them. Rather than buy them, I'm going to try to start some old seeds I have since I have a lot of interesting and fun varieties; and if they don't grow I'll buy some from the nursery.

I have been informed that Dr Pepper tastes different here than in the US, Because Of The Recipe
Tests must be performed in order to determine whether a cold refreshing Dr Pepper is to be an America-only treat or if it is also Nice here

17 day old bunnies learning to use their hoppers
I want to build a Rabbitry
A Rabbitry that produces buns for the different
For the goth emo kids who’ve never been scene.
Black and white and emotional buns who need just as much emotional support as their human.
Mirrors shatter when I'm passin', broken glass and crashin'
