Shallot and Zahha’s dynamic is peak.. best friends to lovers to enemies. Honeyed words, broken trust, (literal) backstabbing. The fact that Shallot still calls him a FRIEND well after his initial betrayal really shows that he doesn’t want to kill him.

He knows they have to fight (he even wants to fight him himself, to “smack some sense into him”), but that doesn’t stop him from refusing to call Zahha his enemy. He was a pawn in Zahha’s game of chess, and now that he’s moving on his own, he still wants to move towards him.

He sees hope in him. And despite having the Omnificence Crystal and being able to literally kill Shallot anytime he wants, he doesn’t.

I just got to part 14 (now on 15, but haven’t started yet) so I don’t know everything. But so far, this is sus as fuck. He’s holding out for some unknown reason.

Really sad that there isn’t that much content out there for them, because this pairing really has it all lol. Their dynamic is super interesting, almost textbook hero x villian shit in the terms of morality and attachment and… ugh LMAO

Ok so I have this druid oc, I shove him into every au I can, and in rottmnt, he's a fox yokai with elemental magics which work differently than standard mystic powers, and he still considers himself a druid, works with plants, can manipulate and grow them etc. it's just element based instead of it's own magic. Now... the reason I'm telling you this is because I have had Thoughts and I cannot make them go away except by rambling about them-

Druids are protectors of natural land, at least by Kit's (my character's) definition. What would happen if he were to stumble upon the lake? Swannie chases off and defends the lake from everyone, even redirects children who pose no real danger to him or the lake, but what if it was someone who would gladly defend the lake as well, no questions asked?

Kit is a bit of a die hard when it comes to his practice, and I don't think he'd realize that Swannie is just a person who got cursed and not actually a powerful spirit that dwells there, so he'd treat him with the same respect and reverence he treats any other land protected by a powerful spirit.

Oooh he sounds very cool! And unfortunately, Swanatello probably wouldn't really care if someone was willing to protect the Lake. He's typically extremely territorial and paranoid-- most of the time, he's not even gonna let an intruder have the chance to make their case for 'I'm not a threat I want to help,' he'll just kick your ass. He's not the most reasonable guy when he's in "Get Away From Me and My Lake" mode.
