So I think you stated that the TSR RO's will have no memories of their past lives like the Wanderer does.

But is there something like an echo, something that did cross the barrier into the otherworld?

For angst maybe they've something like a phobia or aversion that could be linked to what happened to them in the previous world. A transdimensional trauma if you had to give a word for it.

Or for more something slightly lighter or positive; a hobby or preference to certain sights/sounds and the like. A reminder of the days were the previous world wasn't all doom and inevitable gloom.

To answer this: Yes, there can be little fragments of crossing through the barrier and the like.

Each world has their own specialty, so to speak. I'm not gonna dig deep about it but in the world MC is in, Reincarnation is a possibility. People can die in one world, like MC's previous one, then reincarnated into Sylphina's world. Those who die in Sylphina's world can reincarnate to other worlds (tho which is an rng thing) - then it's a cycle of sorts.

Trauma has been proven the strongest impression on a person's soul - strong enough and it will pass on. Certain triggers/actions/events can activate these traumas but the person won't have a clue as to why (they will chalk it up as something they developed in their childhood or as an irrational fear of sorts).

The hobby, preferences to certain sounds or sights are more of the person themselves and people usually chalk it up as 'oh, it's just what I like' or something they found in their childhood and become part of their current life's memory.

But.

I will provide one spoilery thing.

The ROs who interact with MC long enough might get 'echoes' of bygone 'visions'...

Why? That's, unfortunately, a very major spoiler. 🙊

The Ending of Sonic X Season 2 Makes No Sense

I do not find the "Homebound Saga" of Sonic X to make a whole lot of sense, so I don't take it into consideration when coming up with random plot bunnies. Why? Allow me to explain...

1. Eggman is shocked when in the Shadow Saga he uncovers Gerald's research and discovers that Earth is the planet he was born on. This indicates he's been on Sonic's planet for much of his life, long enough to not know where he originally came from.

2. Eggman is probably close to fifty years old.

3. Sonic was on Earth for a year at most, as Chris was is 12 at the beginning of the series, and in season 3 he says it's been 6 years since he's seen them and he is now 18 (18 - 6 = 12).

4. The government states that Sonic and the others must return home because their presence on Earth would cause both planets to meld together again and time itself will grind to a halt...

...

...So Sonic spending less than a year on Earth will cause time to stop, but Eggman, who is from Earth, spending 30+ years on Sonic's planet doesn't cause the same issue??? And when they send them back, Eggman has to go back with them for some reason???

Conclusion: I think the government made all of this up to get rid of Eggman and Sonic because Eggman was wreaking havoc and Sonic was too powerful for them to have him under their control and was becoming a better option of protection than the military, so he had to go.

The world plunges into a constant war with each land. Even so-called alliances are nothing but mere bullsh1ts. Despite these two beings being covered in shadows, a survivor describes the leader with a black void top hat with red flowers as its decorations. While the other is a fire of darkness, emitting a dark aura beside the mastermind.

A world where the arches turned against their brother, Dream. Who is being manipulated by someone or a being that they nickname Lucifer. That being used his "wish" to curse upon the world. The arches tried to stop it but this resulted in their LV being too high. After that, they began to the thought that...sins are the new virtue.

Everything seemed to went so...reverse. Where different decisions made different outcomes. The Creator decided to write the story in a way they never did. Character switches personalities, loyalty, belief, and morals.

A world where everything is right...too right. There was less conflict that the people live in peace like a fairytale would. A happy ending was the start and the end of the contract that Frisk made. Where everyone made the "right" choices.

If this wasn't a book club book, I would not have gotten past part 2. It drags on and I found myself asking "what's the point of this book?" so many times.

Even when I got the purpose, sure, it got better, and fairly interesting, but it definately isn't something I would choose to read again.

Somewhere the others have the sense to extend an olive branch. Regardless of prior notions and frustration what remained was worth more than what came before. Sitting out in the sun, seeing something reminiscent and writing it down in a note, apologizing again, over and over. Wipe the slate clean, forget everyone else who may have an opinion, swallow your pride and accept the harsh conditions faced equally.

Someday soon they say, someday, today they will set to it. Opening the channel to repair, forgive, move forward. Far past the point for that, already forgotten the paper sits, empty of words, slowly filling up notebooks and diaries. I guess the fear of nothing is the fear to keep it there for now.

The others move forward, first a memory, then a touch, continuing to become tradition and routine. The regret is enough.
