i've tried several times to watch the show, but i dont like the animation and i always end up giving up.

i do want to understand the peacock thing though, could u recommend which eps are important to watch for that? also, which eps are good for shippy feelings?

For a peacock episode, I'd say the season 2 finale "Heroes' Day Part 2: Mayura".

(Also Season 3 episodes Miraculer, Feast, and Ladybug if you're further curious, but honestly the season 2 finale really gives you all the information you'd need to understand how it's used in my comic. TLDR: it's a miraculous that can create monsters using people's emotions, and in my AU Mayura never approached the heroes face to face)

As for episodes with good shippy feelings......... Miraculous Ladybug is really a romcom, so there are so many.

But I'll list some classics! ☆ represents episodes that are ESPECIALLY recommended.

Season 1:

☆ Origins part 1 and 2 (it's how they met, and part 2 has the most famous adrienette scene)

Dark Cupid (valentine's day episode)

Evillustrator if you're interested in Marichat (fanon marichat was basically created based off this ep lol)

Animan is a really good episode for understanding "the OT4" (marinette, adrien, nino, and alya). It's the episode Alya and Nino get together, it's got good Ladynoir and is just generally a pretty funny episode imo

Gamer (adrienette)

I kind of wanna throw in Puppeteer just because I think it's a good example of Ladybug and Chat Noir just being... very flirty. Though to be fair they're always kind of like that, so.

Simon Says for Ladrien and also if you want to understand the relationship between Adrien and his father.

Season 2:

Collector (more adrien and his father angst, but.... also just... ladybug being sweet to chat noir. this episode MIGHT be confusing if you don't watch S1 Volpina first? or maybe it's self explanatory enough idk)

Despair Bear (very good adrienette)

Prime Queen (very good Ladynoir)

☆ Glaciator (WATCH THIS ONE.... SERIOUSLY)

Gorizilla (very good adrienette and ladrien.... also, seriously, FUCK adrien's dad)

Sandboy (a personal favorite for Ladynoir and some adrien angst. also, kwami lore)

Reverser (if you're interested in Ladybug and Chat Noir being complete and absolute useless messes but supporting each other through it all. i also just find this episode pretty funny)

Season 3:

Weredad (VERY good marichat)

☆ Oblivio (just.... very good. very shippy. don't really wanna spoil it.)

Startrain (has very cute adrienette scene)

Puppeteer 2 (okay, me putting this here will be controversial. If you hate second-hand embarrassment humor you'll probably hate this episode. but I honestly think it's a really good adrienette episode with good OT4 shenanigans that really showcases how much adrien cares about marinette and and and—)

Gamer 2.0 is a good ladynoir episode imo

MIRACULOUS FIC RECOMENDATIONS!! (Part 2)

The first one was really popular! So I decided to make a second part.

The rules are the same:

All of the fics will be rated Teen and up audiences or lower. Also if I don’t put the author’s tumblr is because they didn’t put it in the fic or/and I couldn’t find it.

The only thing that changes is that I would be putting the pairing in the description of the fic.

Arrange marriage, God AU. While I'm making this list, I still haven't finished the fic, but I had to recommend it because is THAT good. The way I gasped out loud while reading some of the plot twists. The worldbuilding is so good, and even if you aren't into AUs that deviate a lot from cannon like me, I 100% reccomend it.

Getting stranded on a foreign planet sucked. Luckily for Nino, his rival was willing to give him a lift home. Unluckily for Nino, she was beautiful and funny and he might just be in love with her.

Gotta be honest with y'all, I did not expect this fic to be as good as it is. The adrienette has everything a stablished!Marichat should have. Marinette conflicted with her feelings? Check. Adrien being a hot mess bc That's My Girlfriend But She Doesn't Know That? Check. Them being absolute idiots? Check. It's good!

Doctor, Doctor, Give Me The News (Your Lips Is The Only Cure I Could Use) by BreG21.

Pairing: Adrienette

Rainwater sloshed up from the pools they had made on the sidewalk and coated his jean pants with every step he took. He couldn't bring himself to care.

He sniffed away some of the water that dribbled down his matted head. "Yeah?"

He paused as if to consider his words while Adrien stared down at him, so lost. "You weren't wrong when you thought you knew. A part of you wanted it to be her, but it was too perfect, you let the illusion fool you because how would you get that lucky. But trust me, Adrien. You weren't wrong."

He wasn't wrong? What was he not wrong about?

You weren't wrong. You want it to be her.

And it finally clicked as a small gasp wisped past his lips. He wasn't wrong.

In which, Plagg falls ill, and with Fu gone and Ladybug being the guardian now, has to go find her civilian self-even with the knowledge that she might not like that-is shocked to realize that even with having the kwami that was supposed to embodied the very being of bad luck, Adrien could conclude the very opposite of what he had thought for so long.

He was so very lucky.

Just realized how this list exposes me as number 1 adrienette sucker... oh well. I love how Adrien doesn't feel weirded out by the intensity of Marinette's crush. He likes it! He's as weird and romantic as her! That's one of the reasons I love the lovesquare so much and it makes me happy to see that everyone is in the same boat with me.

Marinette knew she was much stronger than she looked thanks to being a hero. So when her class had an arm wrestling contest she knew that she could beat all of them with ease, but she wasn't expecting anyone else to come close.

Multi-chapter. Group chat/instagram fic. This fic is so freaking funny, omg I cracked up over and over again. You can tell the author was just having a blast with it, and I had a blast reading it too!

A Miraculous Reveal: Instagram by @kasienda

Upon viewing a certain Instagram Post involving a random floating sock, Marinette puts two and two together and gets four. She then resolves to go yell at Adrien as Ladybug for being careless with his identity.

One-shot within a series. (The other reveals are absolutely worth reading as well!!) Instagram fic. No one else is involved (well, I guess their kwamis), and this is shockingly not crack given the concept. The characterizations are amazing, especially with Marinette's crush being overpowered by her Ladybug sense of responsibility, and Adrien's need for love/validation contrasted with his Chat cheekiness.

Adrien decides to follow the latest TikTok trend since he is basic af and basically in love.

One-shot. TikTok fic. Adrien participates in the "walk in naked challenge" on Marinette (established relationship) because of course he does lol. This is only rated T, it's just funny and cute and it put a smile on my face.

The odds of having a soulmate are about negative one billion (or something like that). But somehow, like they always have, Marinette and Chat Noir find themselves together. Multichapter. I'm hesitant to call it a messaging fic because it's so much more than that, but there are entire chapters that are devoted to messaging exchanges (between Marinette and Chat, and Ladybug and Chat, and Marinette and Adrien) and they're amaaaazinggggg. (Seriously some made me laugh, some made me cry, they're all fantastic.)

I'm cancelling majority of Season 4 of Miraculous. INSTEAD...

Oh my gods, I just saw the trailer for 'Hack-san' and I AM SO ANNOYED RIGHT NOW!!!

As far as I am concerned right now, I will accept SOME parts of this season.

Telling Alya? Questionable but okay

Luka getting to know? This will help them in the future cuz Luka is awesome.

Chat getting sidelined? Heartbreaking but okay fine, I'll take it.

ALYA BECOMING LADYBUG? BITCH NO.

This show is about Ladybug and Cat Noir- Marinette and Adrien.

For me, Season 4 right now is gonna be Chat being heartbroken cuz wtf man, his lady is being distant as fuck. Being Chat Noir always gave him a sense of freedom, but now he feels more and more like Adrien as Chat as well, trapped and useless to everyone around him.

So my dude goes and tells Ladybug that he can't do this. It's too much and she has Rena Rouge, Carapace and the others to help her. He is not important anymore, so it'll be fine if he gives his miraculous back to her.

Ladybug is shocked. She never wanted this. The main reason she was staying away from Chat is because of all the mental damage she suffered from Chat Blanc, because them being close, them being in love, basically destroyed the world.

So she sits there and she listens to her best friend (cuz Chat is her best friend, not Alya, fight me Thomas Astruc) say that he is gonna leave her, and she just kinda freezes.

Chat being Chat, sees this and goes to her being like, "Milady are you okay "

and before he finishes, he sees that she is basically having a panic attack and she's not breathing (duh. The number of expectations this kid, YES KID SHE'S LIKE 14, has is heartbreaking and she's been bordering on Anxiety and Depression for too long) and has tears streaming down her face and Chat immediately goes and hugs her and helps her through it (Imma stick to the 5-4-3-2-1 technique cuz its been effective for me).

After that happens they finally show some vulnerability to each other, and Ladybug finally tells him about Chat Blanc and how she's basically traumatised because of it.

Chat is heartbroken.

He never thought that him loving Ladybug could have such drastic consequences, and so he asks her if she wants him away. She could choose another Chat Noir, but this time so the fate of the flipping world doesn't hang in the balance, and after like a few more hours of opening up to each other, they decide that Ladybug and Chat Noir will always be Ladybug and Chat Noir. Best friends, partners and each other's solace.

Nothing else. At least until Hawkmoth is defeated.

And so they both go home, and Marinette is finally at peace cuz her partner is her partner again and she doesn't have to do all the unnecessary crap of having new superheroes in every new episode.

Adrien on the other hand is defeated as fuck. My man is so sad and he doesn't know what to do. He can't talk to Nino about this, he can't talk to Alya about this (they're just not that close, honestly) and he doesn't know what to do.

So, he bribes Plagg with a wheel of Camembert and transforms before going to the one person he trusts as much as he trusts Ladybug (3 guesses who lol)

Marinette is a little surprised to see her partner less than half an hour after having a huge talk with him. Of course, Chat doesn't know that and he just wants a friendly face who he knows will listen to him without an ounce of judgement.

And so Mari invites him in for passionfruit croissants she definitely made for Adrien that morning and makes them both comfortable in her room.

And then Chat talks.

He talks about how alienated he felt, he talks about how scared he is and he doesn't stop talking to Marinette until they're both just wrapped around each other, asleep, leeching off of each other's warmth cuz getting up to take the blanket was just too much work.

In the middle of the night, Plagg detransforms and goes to the other Kwamis to look at these two dumbass kids, who have way too much weight on their shoulders.

As the sun rises, Plagg (after being told by Tikki to 'be subtle for fucks sake, Plagg') gently wakes Adrien up, and Adrien leaves a note for Marinette, thanking her for listening to him, and leaves again.

And then, they go about their days as usual. Go to school, fight Akumas side by side, with a little extra help from Rena Rouge and any other hero, but people in Paris can see that it's The Ladybug and Chat Noir team once more.

And at night if the two heroes spend a little extra time together, as Chat Noir and Marinette, then nobody knows about it.

ON THE OTHER HAND, Alya is getting a little annoyed (just like we did with her lol) and straight-up asks Marinette what was the point of telling her all this if she was just gonna use her as a sidekick and Marinette (who has a lot more confidence considering during day time Adrien boosts her ego, and at night Chat does it) just goes "cuz you are a sidekick...? Your job, along with every other hero I give the miraculous to is to help Chat and me." (is this a little OOC for Mari? I don't care lmao)

Alya bristles and goes on to make a series of bad decisions to prove that she is vital to the tram, but she only adds a lot of drama smh.

OKAY BACK TO CHAT AND MARI. Gods they are SO in love. These two fools really do friends to lovers properly and cutely. Mari unknowingly gets over her crush on Adrien, and develops one on Chat instead, never realising that she fell in love with the same idiot.

And Adrien? Gods, he doesn't know how he never SAW Mari. Funny Mari who always beats him in Videogames and always gives him the best food (cuz gabby is a dick and doesn't feed his son enough) and gives the best hugs and always comes to every single tournament of his to cheer him on and laughs at all his puns and talks to him every night until they fall asleep together, either in each other's arms or over the phone. (If you think Adrien didn't get another phone just so he could talk to Mari as Chat at night and to send her memes during his photoshoot, then you're lying to yourself, bestie.)

And so one night, they kiss.

And everything seems so, so right.

And then they both get an akuma alert so Chat has to go asap, and Mari quickly transforms to meet him. They get there, and Rena Rouge is there, but with different colours and Ladybug and Chat Noir are confused cuz you know.

This is their friend. Their ally.

And then Rena turns around and says,

"Hello, Marinette."

End of Season.

It’s been heavy on my mind: why does Ladybug not have a lot of trust in Chat Noir?

If you wanna hit me with “What do you mean she doesn’t have much trust in Chat Noir?”, check out this post. It’s pretty much the full list of things Ladybug is doing that show distrust. (There’s your reminders before you read my post.)

Fair warning: this is another long analysis lol

Possible reasons for distrust

1. Him becoming Chat Blanc

This is obviously the biggest one, I feel like. Season 4 proved just how traumatic experiencing Chat Blanc was for her and not knowing the exact reason how he cataclysmed the entire world (all he told her was that “it was our love that did this to the world”).

2. She doesn’t know his real identity

Despite being Chat Noir’s heroic partner for a long time, they still don’t know a whole lot about each other and obviously don’t know each other’s identities under the masks.

It’s not easy trying to open up to someone you don’t really know. She would have to trust Chat Noir solely on the basis of how he acts.

In comparison, she knows Alya both normally and as Rena, and fully trusts her.

3. He has a tendency to be goofy, impulsive, and reckless

Chat Noir is head-over-heels for her, and because of that, PLUS him having a bad home life that keeps him trapped, he of course has a tendency of acting this way.

He’s done a lot of crazy shit like sacrificing himself, making stupid puns in the middle of akuma fights, etc.

That’s it. I can only think of three reasons. That’s so sad.

Reasons why she should trust him

1. He trusts her

Chat Noir has always respected and trusted her way of doing things (for instance, keeping each other’s identities a secret from each other). Sure, he’s questioned why she’s kept him in the dark about stuff but who wouldn’t?

2. He loves and cares about her

He makes it very obvious how much he loves and cares about her. He’s sacrificed himself to help her in akuma battles and he’s made sure she knows he’s here for her if she needs to talk about anything.

Even when she makes bad mistakes, he still loves and forgives her. He’s never gotten mad at her for any of them, but reassures her that it’s okay, she’s still a good Ladybug.

3. He’s been her partner since day one

Chat Noir has been her partner since the day she first became Ladybug. They’ve been through just about every akuma fight together (and won them all), and learned the hardships together of being superheroes (having to hide their identities from people they love, constantly worrying about Shadow Moth, etc.)

The only times he hasn’t been there for her is when he got affected by the akumatized villain and when she asked him to be holder of the snake miraculous. Both valid reasons why he couldn’t be there. If she knew his identity, she’d fully understand why he’s not always *physically* there.

Other than that, he’s shown up. He’s even patrolled without her and still waited on her to show up.

4. He’s the best at honoring her wishes of not revealing their secret identities

Despite knowing Ladybug gave Nino and Alya their miraculouses at the same time, despite knowing they’re Carapace and Rena Rouge, despite having numerous opportunities where she and/or he could’ve revealed their identities…he has still respected her wishes.

He hasn’t pried since season 1 about them revealing each other’s identities.

Meanwhile, little does Ladybug know, Alya told Nino about her being Rena Furtive, when she was told it’s NOT safe to tell other people about that, including her own boyfriend.

That alone should be a perfectly good reason to trust him.

5. He’s willing to give up his own miraculous for the sake of her safety

In the NY special, he gave up his miraculous when he made a horrible mistake (even though it DID get fixed).

That’s proof right there that he takes full accountability for making a dangerous mistake and never wants to risk putting her in harm’s way.

6. He’s putting his own sadness and heartbreak on the back burner for her well-being

Chat Noir could easily break down in front of Ladybug, opening up to her about how torn apart he’s feeling between the Alya-Nino identity situation and her not needing him as much anymore. But he hasn’t.

He knows Ladybug is also dealing with a lot of stress being the guardian and handling heartbreak in her own personal life. He doesn’t pry. He doesn’t add more stress into her life. All he’s done is let her know he’s here for her.

Final conclusion

Referring to Gale’s post I linked earlier, just think of how bad it’s going to be when he finds out about Rena Furtive. “any conceptions of Ladybug trusting him [would be] violently stabbed behind a Denny's. Chat noir would likely take off the ring right there and toss it to ladybug.”

It would just solidify that she doesn’t trust him. She’s having another hero carefully watch them on patrol and jumping into the scene, in case Chat Noir messes up. There’s no way Ladybug can try to claim she trusts him once he finds out about Rena.

It just makes me so sad that she’s drifting further and further from him, mainly because she’s got her civilian-life best friend in on her superhero life. Chat Noir deserves better treatment. Thank you and good night.

Thoughts and Reaction to SENTIBUBBLER

For the past month, every day my sister greeted me with "Sentibubbler!" Sometimes multiple times a day. So this episode was a very anticipated one. The trailer spoiled that the opening scene was a dream, so I wasn't expecting to be surprised or anything like that. HAHA BOY WAS I WRONG But first, this dream points out several things she's worried about and she's going to have to address because they're seriously stressing her out. Likely in the order of occurrence in the episode is how we'll see it addressed. (In chronological order because let's be real, broadcasting companies don't seem to care much about what episodes we get when, so we'll likely see them happen out of this order) - Alya and Trixx being able to keep the secret and be trustworthy. (Which seems to be taken care of in this episode) - Nino finding out she's Ladybug. Nino's close with Alya, so tbh it's probably just a matter of time before he finds out on his own, or they break down and decide to tell him. - Chloe's issue with the Miraculous and Ladybug's rule that has only applied to Chloe so far. - And Chat Blanc. It seems Chat Blanc becoming akumatized again is a bigger fear to her than all the rest, based on her reaction, being horrified and backing up to the point she knocks stuff off the table. It also shows that she's thinking about how her and Chat Noir in this other timeline were in fact together and thinking about what the reason for it is. She believed that it was them being together knowing their secret identities, and their love did it. So here in this dream, well everyone knows right, so what's keeping them from being together now? Interesting thought to have for someone who claims she doesn't love him. ;) Tikki squeaks when bounced. Good to know lol But poor thing was asleep. LOL the Lochness Monster is Trixx's doing, huh? It's like every major event in history happened because of a Kwami. What else are we going to learn xD Marinette being freaked out by the tarantula. The biggest spider I've ever seen in my house is a Giant Crab Spider. Freaked me out so much too. Poor thing was terrified though so I let it go outside. xD Are Alya's parents going to be like Marinette's parents and just shrug when their daughter says things they don't understand and let it go. Because in their situation, those are the best parents to have. Except Adrien's, who isn't around....oof moving on. And here is the start of Nino feeling left out... DX Anyone that knows me knows I adore him, so this is going to begin to get really painful for me. ;-; TRIXX IS JUST SO STINKING CUTE And then suddenly with the phone ringing and empty room with a villain on the other line threatening the lives of her friends and family, did I feel like I entered one of my Taiwanese dramas instead of Miraculous Ladybug. And I love it! I had no idea how Alya was going to deal with Shadow Moth's call, instructions, and Sentibubbler in the room, I was at the edge of my seat. Older seasons it was so much easier to have a good general idea anyway of what was going to happen, but now you get caught by surprise much more. Alya is so brilliant, there's honestly nobody better for Marinette to have told first. I love Chat Noir so much and for emotional reasons, I wanted him to know first. But it's so easy for one or both to be unable to transform or do their job, they need at least one other on the outside they can trust. Alya is certainly that someone. I do think Nino knowing and Adrien finding out will make them the strongest though. But of course, not without its consequences. There is no perfect solution. I also want to point out too. When Marinette was trying to decide what to do, she thought of ways that would cause significant trouble, or worse. Transforming in front of everyone and going back in time to erase that. Nothing she thought of to get herself out of the situation was a good idea. Chat Noir didn't want to listen to Rena Rouge and was going to blow her plan up. Her wording wasn't great, and she should've said it differently so he'd be more likely to listen. But

both Ladybug and Chat Noir were going to do things that would cause serious damage and consequences. Rena Rouge was the one that helped make things go smoothly. But also yikes the fact that Chat Noir got so angry and hurt about being left out (it didn't even have anything to do with Ladybug, so that's going to be a misunderstanding that adds up and comes back later ooof) that he destroyed a chimney with his baton. o.o But his "Oh well Miraculous Ladybug will fix it anyway so I can't feel too bad" xD Everything lately about these episodes just screams "Chat Noir and Nino are going to have to know, at least some details, and soon." either that or both of them walk away because they can't put up with it anymore. And I'm pretty sure we're not getting the latter! Chat Noir being told by Marinette to stay where he is. Chat: BUT WHYYYY x.x Marinette: Rena Rouge created a Ladybug illusion to trick Sentibubbler, who is a Sentimonster. If you go there, you might ruin her entire plan! Chat: ... and you know this how? That's really sus, Marinette... Marinette just goes all casual Chat-like as she explains and he just doesn't even question anything anymore lololol Alya being super smart and getting Shadow Moth away from her while she still keeps the Miraculous. Hahahaha what if all the rest do that too, that'll be so great. x3 Chat, explains what's going on and what he has to do. Marinette: Good idea! :D Chat: Relax. The real Ladybug will save her and together we will save you. Marinette: We're already saving them, Kitty. We already are... Me: AHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY HEART ;-; The only real physical damage done to Paris that day was when the Agreste's decided to vent their anger out on innocent buildings. Marinette being as Ladybug to Chat Noir as she can be while Marinette's the one with him trapped in a bubble. x33 I love how he uses Cataclysm, gets trapped in the bubble again, and Marinette just blinks at him like "Oh Kitty...:c" In S1, Marinette would've rolled her eyes and shook her head lol Ladybug transforming in a bubble right next to Chat Noir and he knows absolutely nothing :D I'd be so nervous even with that illusion if it were me. Chat Noir: NOBODY CAN MUTE ME Shadow Moth: Wanna bet? THAT ACTION SHOT OF PEGABUG TAKING THE COFFEE CUP FROM HAWK MOTHS IS ONE OF MY ALL-TIME FAVORITES Her hair is so pretty and her smug look is just so perfect!! Chat Noir saving Nino <3 Ladybug and Rena Rouge's hug <3 Seriously loving these friend moments. But they make me nervous about what's to come. "Hey, I thought today would be the end of Chat Noir." Oh dear. Please don't have him thinking like this still. What's it going to take for this poor boy to understand he's irreplaceable and she cares so much about him? At this point I think him knowing her feelings for him and some of the truth, but not all of it, would be what it'd take. Okay, the scenes after the end card now are tripping me up. Such creepy, dramatic music with a getting angrier all the time Gabriel. Scary. Thanks to spoilers from TFOU, this scene here, hints at the finale episode for sure. And that was the episode! I really enjoyed this one, I love how it's really getting the ball rolling on some problems that later on will need to be fixed, to then have them come back happier and stronger than before. We just need to live through it first lol.

Bio!Dad Bruce Day 14-Gala (Part 1)

ummm hi? i just wanted to give yall a huge heads up that this IS part one of two, and part two will be added when i have time to go back and finish. both my computer and my phone are acting up, and my tablet has a faulty keyboard. that said, im going to work to get things back on track.

Two days after Christmas, the manor was buzzing with activity. The Kents had arrived the day before, and now everyone was prepping for the annual Winter Gala. Marinette was standing in her room, hands on her hips, glaring at her father as he tried to convince her that no, Marinette, the gala is not that big of a deal. down the hall, Tim and Damien helped Alfred sort through the myriad of suits and other formal wear that the siblings would be wearing the next night. Jason had left on ‘business’, while Dick was watching over the people brought into finish decorating for the occasion. Once the boys’ clothing had been sorted, Alfred moved on to check on Cass who had been studiously avoiding all activity related to the Gala.

In the Crewe Group Chat

Kim: Mari, when do you get back in town??

Chlo: M, there’s damage control to do, do you want me to wait for you?

Max: Marinette, you may want to check your Instagram. I know that you avoid social media in Gotham but…

Chlo: MARINETTE CHENG-WAYNE

They are dragging suitcases and have their heads down to avoid attention. The boy’s hood is thrown back, and his well-known blue eyes are glaring at the photographer. The second screenshot is from farther down the article where there is a picture of Cassandra Cain-Wayne, Damien Wayne and Marinette hurrying along a sidewalk completely bundled up. Chlo: and its gala day so she’s going to be busy af anyways.

Adrien: What do you mean its Gala day? There’s only one Gala today?

Chlo: Duh. Mari is going.

Chlo: Keep up, Adrikins.

Alix: oh god

Alix: does anyone know how her dress turned out? She had been freaking out about it last I heard, and we all know how much M puts by first impressions.

Adrien: Ok, I’m still really confused? There’s only one Gala today? The Wayne Winter Charity Gala, which is really exclusive and a huge to-do? What Gala is Marinette going to???

Nino: dude

Nino: don’t be oblivious.

Mari: what did I miss?

Chlo: DID YOU SEE THE NEWS?????

Mari: um…yes? Jason has been having a ball with all the press. Why?

Chlo: I thought you were trying to be low key?

Mari: tonight

Chlo: IM SORRY??? WHY AM I ONLY HEARING ABOUT THIS NOW????

Alix: well, it’s a good thing you have so many influential friends who keep ending up at the same Galas as you, Mari

Adrien: ok, I’m still confused

Chlo: your going to the Winter Gala, right?

Adrien: yeah? We go every year. The only entertaining part is the fact that the Wayne kids always fight. Otherwise it’s all snobby rich people.

Chlo: I’m taking offence to that, since Alix and I have also been going for years.

Alix: seconded

Mari: to be fair, you both tend to hide away and prank people

Adrien: wait. That was you two?

Adrien: And Marinette, how do you know that?

Mari: omg

Lila: guys! My friend reached out to me…

Alya: wait! Which friend? Is it…?

Lila: yes! Its Maralynn! She’s sooooo excited about her family Gala tonight!

Alix: Maralynn?

Lila: ok, you didn’t hear it from me, but that mystery girl? Seen at the airport with THE Tim Wayne? That’s her! They’re actually twins!

Chloe: oh! That means that Alix, Adrien and I will see her tonight! Its so cool that she trusts you not to reveal who she is…. (:

Marinette: lol isn’t Twitter convinced that she’s dating Tim? AWKWARD

Lila: Maralynn told me that it wasn’t worth it to go after the rumors. I’m trying to respect her decision.

Rose: that’s so sweet, Lila! I didn’t know that you knew the Waynes!

Lila: I don’t know ALL of them, just Maralynn! We were at boarding school together in Italy for a few years.

Marinette: OH WOW

Nino: Chloe, Alix, your going to have to tell us what you think of her?

Lila: oh yes! And if you see my boyfriend, send my love!

Chloe:…BOYFRIEND???

Lila: oh? You didn’t know? Tim and I have had a thing for a while

Marinette: oh really? Chloe, you’ll have to pass on that she’s thinking of him tonight!

Lila: I mean… not if you don’t want to! I wouldn’t want to be a bother on GALA night!

Chloe: if I see him, it won’t be a bother at all Lila!

Marinette shook her head and set her phone down as the class chat continued to blow up. As much as she loved Chloe, she knew that the girl was instigating Lila for fun. When everything blew up, Marinette wanted to be able to stand back and watch the fire burn, but not be close enough to get burned. When she turned in her room, the garment bag in the corner caught her eye. Inside, Marinette knew, was a long black dress. When she had run the design past Alfred, the English man had given her an approving nod. Later, she had heard him mentioning to her father that at least one of his myriad of children would be able to dress themselves. The comment had made the teen giggle and she had made sure to put every effort she could into the gown. More than anything, she wanted to make her family proud. A knock on the door drew her attention and she turned to find Cass standing there, her own gown held in its own garment bag.

“get ready? Together?” the noirette lit up at her older sister’s suggestion and she nodded excitedly. The other girl moved into the room and hung the bag in her arms over the wardrobe next to Marinette’s. after she had deposited her shoes, the older teen turned to her sister and smiled.

By the time that Tim came to check on them, both girls had finished their Makeup and were working on hair. The makeup artist that Bruce had hired was packing up her stuff and the hair stylist was partway through Cass’s hair. Marinette turned towards her brother with a smile from where she was standing in front of the hidden dresses. “lend me a hand?” He smirked at the frustration on her face.

“Gladly, Little Bit. Which one is yours?” when the girl nodded to the larger of the two bags, Tim frowned. “how big exactly is your dress?”

“Big enough for me to need help getting it on. Its not that it’s exactly heavy either! Its just…poofy?” he laughed at Marinette’s rush to explain and helped her pull the bag off of the dress. When the dress was no longer hidden, his breath caught. The black dress was stunning. He could see where it moved from black to grey to blue at the bottom, and the long full sleeves followed the same style. Hanging on the hanger behind the dress was a black hoop, and a pair of low heels (as tall as Bruce would allow, actually. He had to remind her ten times that although this was a high society event, she was still 14, and didn’t need to be dressing like she was 20.) sat under the layers of the dress. Where he had been expecting glitter and sparkles, Tim was surprised to find that the satin was free of almost anything that glittered.

“wow” Marinette laughed at his reaction and reached for the hoop.

“I know, right? It took forever, but its totally worth it! And, it’s the designers first attempt at this kind of formal. I think she did a great job.” Tim paused at that.

“LB, hey,” his sister tensed at the abbreviation for her nickname before she turned to him. “who exactly designed your dress?”

“Oh, just a small up and coming designer. You wouldn’t have heard of her.” Cass sniggered from her spot by the vanity and Marinette shot their sister a smile. “ok! Let me get the slip on, and then after the hoop is on top, ill need your help with making sure the skirt fits right.”

Marinette would not be over exaggerating if she said that the red carpet was incredibly chaotic. The only thing she could think of that was more chaotic was perhaps the last time Jagged had held a concert in Paris. After she had made it through the gaggle of reporters and the public (was that Mr. Kent, SUPERMAN, she saw standing in the crowd calling out questions? Dam that man was everywhere.) the teen dropped her purse, that held an extra set of shoes, in her seat. The rest of the family wouldn’t be in for a bit. Her father, Dick, and Damien would all be in the receiving line Alfred would be behind the scenes all night, and Tim was already striking up discussions with business partners. Cass was on the other side of the room, looking stunning in her deep blue dress. When her sister had approached her, through her website, about the dress the teen had squealed at the idea of designing the close-fitting dress for her only sister. A Blonde caught her eye and pulled the noirette out of her thoughts. The familiar girl who was making her way over had abandoned her trademarked blues and yellows in favor of a deep red that matched the garnets littering her jewelry. A few steps behind her was another teen close to Marinette’s age with a pink pixie cut slicked down. The other teen was wearing a suit that had perfect tailoring…actually, that was Marinette’s suit. The girl laughed as Chloe and Alix joined her, the shortest of the three standing in the middle to draw attention to her suit.

As the girls caught up, they scanned the ballroom. On the other side, Tim was starting to look frazzled, while Marinette thought she saw Jason slip in past one of the servers. opposite them, Damien and Dick were starting to mingle while Bruce moved to greet the Kents. As she swept her gaze over the room, Marinette blinked. There, looking straight at her was-

“oh no, its Adrien. Chloe I love you and all, but if that boy causes a scene tonight…” Chloe waved away Alix’s worries.

“I already told him to be on his best behavior. I am personally more interested in when Felix will get here. For all his big talk about transferring to a private school in Paris, I won’t believe it until the brat comes to see me.” The group stifled their laughter at Chloe’s put out response.

“as long as he doesn’t come over asking about everything going on, we should be good.” Marinette nodded at Alix’s statement on Adrien.

hmmm,,, well, obviously adrien and nino is like. The Best Friendship in the show, but other than the obvious,,, nino and mari and kim being childhood friends is something that can be So personal,,, and i also like thinking that chloe and nino could’ve been great friends had they let it happen :(

my unpopular opinion about this character:

idk he doesn’t deserve any salt that he gets. “oh but nino believed lila over mari--” no that was just bad writing and also he’s like thirteen or fourteen like my God he’s a child

one thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

he should’ve been the guardian over mari. i’m sorry but,,, i honestly think he would’ve been better suited. not only would it cause a Lot less stress for mari, but then nino could be in charge of handing out the miraculouses and would get to know her and adrien’s identities, so then she wouldn’t have that crisis. knowing their identities would also allow him to support his friends the best that he can. also, he and wayzz have SUCH a sweet friendship and i just would’ve enjoyed that a lot more <3

how i feel about this character:

freaking. i freaking love him. he has SO MUCH DEPTH that people don’t see !!! so many people see him as the bully-surface level type or just the idiot (albeit, that can be SO FUN and actually here are some funny fics about that--they’re all pretty short: kim being “scared” of monkeys, kim & kagami bonding, kim and max accidentally discover h*wkm*th’s lair). he just. all in all, he’s a good kid who genuinely cares so much but isn’t great at expressing it and he has GREAT character development and you can see his character growth from s1 to s2; from letting chloe boss him around to doing what he loves. it’s just. it’s SO GOOD. also, he’s so freaking funny. “meta-who?”

any/all the people i ship romantically with this character:

uhhhhh i mean, kim x ondine is cute ! i can see the appeal of kim x max, but i do kind of prefer their friendship, tbh

my unpopular opinion about this character:

oooooooo SO MANY okay so uhhhhh hmmmm where to start... he is the Number One believer (after adrien) of chloe redemption (and prolly hates the s3 finale lol) and is never truly able to give up on her becoming a better person despite the way she treated him (he just. he sees the good in everybody...), carapace is his favorite superhero (especially after working with him lol--he definitely had a bit of a crush on carapace ngl), he likes trying new things and often asks his friends to teach him about stuff they’re interested in: he and rose scrapbooked together, he cooked with mari, followed alya around while she chased lb and chat (he took the pictures), etc... he works out with alix and mari (and convinces max to join them sometimes), he and markov are besties actually, he has adhd, his sexuality is “doesn’t care about gender, doesn’t acknowledge his sexuality because he doesn’t want a label he just wants to love because he has so much of it to give”, his mom is a hairdresser and his dad is a biological anthropologist, he like stickers, max was the one who told him that he should try swimming because he saw how much fun kim had while doing it at school, on bad days kim doesn’t think that he’s a good enough person to be king monkey. about that: he takes his redemption arc very seriously and i will get to that with the next question...

one thing i wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

so he was incredibly ashamed of himself after dark cupid--that was a huge realization he came to. he did do some pretty crappy things before that, though: he was mean to ivan, helped get alya suspended... and he did it all for mean!chloe. there’s no way he’s just all buddy-buddy with everyone without like. talking to them about it. so what i’m saying is, i wish we got to see him apologize and make amends. i wish we saw alya forgive him and ivan not being ready to forgive him yet but appreciating the apology. even if it was just in the background, i wish we saw a friendly relationship between ivan and kim develop: see ivan begin to forgive him and for them to become friends...

Well, here’s Season 2! This post is super long, so buckle up, you’re in for a ride!

Reminder that Volpina and the Collector took place on the same day. So, when Ladybug informs Chat Noir about her suspicions about Gabriel Agreste, we as viewers know the turmoil Chat must be going through to have his father get accused of the worst crime possible : Being Hawkmoth. We see how serious and focused Ladybug can get with an Akuma on a normal day. But this mission was extra serious, because it involved finding out who their greatest enemy was.

When he immediately grows dejected and disturbed, Ladybug abandons her thoughts about the mission and immediately grows concerned about his feelings. Especially considering how serious it was.

Look. He’s the one who pulled away, and not from being flustered like in Animan. And Ladybug’s face is still in shock, considering that we, the viewers and she herself are seeing Chat Noir like this for the first time. And again, he’s the one who says they have to get to the bottom of this. Even though she’s the one who figured it out, she doesn’t dismiss Chat’s feelings and obvious discomfort.

Once again,here. Even in the midst of a battle, she always, always puts him first.

Ahem. For someone who is not supposed to be interested at all, Ladybug is quite the flirt.

“Don’t encourage him, Nadia or the cat won’t stop purring all night.”

“Don’t listen to her! Bugaboo is just a spot jealous.” “Hey, I thought we agreed on no more Bugaboo calling, pussycat!” “But it’s so cute!” (Side note: Everyone is tuning in to watch two 14 year olds in spandex flirt with each other. Paris is a MOOD.)

“WHAT? When did that happen??” This is the face of a girl who got caught with her hand too far in the cookie jar. “I WAS SAVING YOU, NOT KISSING YOU!” And we all know my thoughts about that in Part 1.

“A superhero never lies!” Now we all know Marinette hates liars. And yeah. She lies again within the span of 12 seconds.

“Alright, Prime Queen. You win. You’re right. Chat Noir and I are together. It’s like you said. We are in love.” That is the face of a boy who has no idea what he’s doing.

Plus, look at their hands. His is a limp noodle and hers is hanging on to it like life support.

“Fighting evil, with his lady!” Calling yourself someone’s lady is…pretty intimate. MHHHHHMMMM

I put this picture here just because I love Chat’s expression, lmao.

Once Ladybug’s ruse worked out, she saw Chat looking around worriedly for Marinette, that she personally reassured that she was safe. It’s a small thing, but it’s sweet to see that she cares about the little things, just like him.

“Lead him to the river where there is nothing to destroy! Good job,Chat Noir!”

“He’s going to his play pen all on his own! Good job, Chat!” Love that she compliments and respects his role in their partnership.

“Hey, kitty, looks like you’re not that much of a natural with kids!"

"Ha-ha, for your information, I have never babysat anything less than 10 tons."

"Uh, we wanna calm the baby down, not burst his eardrums?"

"What? I have a great voice, you know! I might as well meow you a serenade one of these days!” I LOVE THEIR BANTER! And her reaction to the last one is vastly different from how she would have reacted before. In season 1 she would have groaned or rolled her eyes. This was the first time she laughed at his jokes.

No reason. I just love this picture. And they look like parents in this one. *Cries* Okay, maybe there is another reason too.

Ladybug and Chat’s relationship extends to more than just being able to fight well and fight together. They’re so in tune and so in sync with each other. How many times has Ladybug has to just call out his name and he just understood what to do? Namely, Dark Owl. The whole episode.

Facepalming together.

Mirroring each other’s actions.

Speaking together at the same time.

Casual best friend energy.

One word - trust.

THEM. JUST THEM.

When Chat offers the idea of them having lunch together, she’s not utterly repulsed by it, even though she says she couldn’t come. She just says she didn’t have time to schedule it. Meaning that even though she doesn’t want to call it a date, Ladybug doesn’t turn down the idea of hanging out with Chat Noir at all.

Look at this adorable bean giving her sad kitten the sweetest smile ever!

She put aside her own heartbreak to listen to him talk about his own.

“You’re in love with Ladybug? For real?” And when she realises that he is serious about his love for her, she’s guilty about it. She isn’t disgusted in any way, she’s just wondering if all the times she flirted back, she unknowingly led him on. And she definitely doesn’t like being the reason he is so sad, even if she isn’t technically to blame for it.

Yep. Haha, she definitely doesn’t like being held by him at alllll, nope watcha talkin about?

“Maybe I was wrong about him.” She says with the softest smile on her face. When Chat was angry with Ladybug, it felt off, for some reason, when I first watched Glaciator, and now I know why. We’ve seen Adrien angry at Chloe, at his father, at villains, at Hawkmoth, but we’ve never seen him angry with Ladybug.

And though the circumstances were less than ideal, I welcomed this change. It added on an extra layer of depth to his character.

I’ve said this time and again, Marinette genuinely cares about Chat Noir. I don’t know where the idea of her hating Chat Noir and only loving Adrien came from, but it is simply not true.

She’s wracking herself with guilt, not realising that she unknowingly hurt him, (and before anyone says he had no right to feel hurt, how would YOU feel if you were stood up by your father and the love of your life in the same day?)and even though she didn’t have to apologise, she kept on doing it, each time more earnest and apologetic than before.

Also, can I just say that Prime Queen is not the only time Ladybug has used the “We’re in love” ruse?

Lol, she’s so excited to pretend to be in love with him.

Either Marinette is a good actress or she really is projecting her real feelings into her bad acting skills. He only offered her his hand, but she took his arm instead. This isn’t something that Ladybug would usually do, right?

It’s like she was meant to be there, holding on to his arm and kissing his cheek- excuse me while I go and cry about how much I love these kids.

Daww, look at her. She doesn’t even deny Andre like she did with Nadja.

This entire scene was just so beautiful for two things, one, the animation, two, Ladybug’s honesty. She didn’t want to lie to him and play with his feelings, even though she never meant to. If there’s anyone Ladybug wants to be completely honest with, it is Chat Noir.

She would rather tell him the truth than half ass their relationships with secrets. And what’s more important is that she doesn’t feel the need to be forceful, because she knows he will understand, even though he will inevitably be hurt.

I mean, she’s supposed to be REJECTING him here. Why does it look like she’s the one who is in heartbreak?

Ladybug has never looked at him like this at all. I bet that she would even let him actually kiss her if that was his intention.

But of course, it wasn’t. He kisses her on the cheek, gives her the rose and leaves her blushing. That’s a canon blush. Not an airbrush edit. Speaking of canon, did anyone know that she started calling him kitty more frequently only after Glaciator?

When she introduced Rena Rouge to him, she’s definitely pleased that Chat and her get along so well.

OR DOES SHE?

She gives him this sweet look before leaving with Rena and I almost never noticed it.

See her expression here. It may look like she’s afraid that Chat Noir won’t get here, but in reality, it’s not.

“Oh he will, I trust him.” (I too, stare up at the sky dreamily while telling my crush and love of my life how my superhero partner has never let me down) In the first picture, she was afraid of her plan not working, because she needed Chat, but she was NEVER afraid that he wouldn’t come.

Even here. She is worried, but even then she doesn’t lose hope.

Ladybug’s reaction to Alya getting kissed.

Ladybug’s even worse reaction to Nino staying behind. Even then, she keeps on going UNPROMPTED by anyone else, well, until Chat Noir gets affected too.

She’s holding his cheek here. And looking at him with the saddest, terrified look on her face. He literally had to force her to go. That wasn’t the case with Nino and Alya. In fact, the one constant in this entire series is Ladybug’s trust that Chat Noir will always be there, even when it seems like he won’t.

Is it just me or are these two more intimate after what happened in Glaciator?That moment of honesty with her feelings, something which could have driven her apart from him only brought them closer together.

I just love the Frightningale endcard so I'mma just leave this here.

Syren is probably one of the most controversial episodes when it comes to this fandom, and we’ve talked about Adrien’s feelings so much, I think it’s time we talked about Marinette’s perspective.

When Chat gets rightfully annoyed about not being let it on things, Ladybug isn’t snappy with him. She’s actually considering talking to Master Fu to go talk to Chat Noir finally.

“I’m sorry. This isn’t exactly easy for me either, trust me.” She doesn’t revel in Fu’s favouritism of her. She wants him to treat Chat as an equal, and even in the end, it was only through her prompting that Fu actually meets him.

And what’s even better is that Chat doesn’t actually blame her for anything; he only had a view of only half of what was going on, and once he knows what’s going on, he understands that it wasn’t her secret to tell, and he thanks her. Not FORGIVE her. He THANKS her. That’s proof that Chat Noir does acknowledge that it wasn’t Ladybug’s fault. And regardless of whether we as a fandom acknowledge that or not, Ladybug does. And that’s more important.

He’s the one to let go of her hand here, fellas. All she had to do was look at him, and he did what she wanted. You want character development? Here’s your character development.

And again!

Man, she just loves being close to him whenever she has to act unnaturally to fool the villain, huh?

“You’re not replacing me with a turtle, are you?” I think with his silly pout and everything, Chat was half joking but he half meant it too. Ladybug dismissed it at the moment, and he did too. I mean, SHE was the one who brought it up again towards the end. She didn’t have to, considering he forgot about it.

“You know you’re irreplaceable.” She’s beginning to take initiative to assure him that she does need his powers as a superhero AND him as a person.

Even when Chat was cursed to be a coward and Ladybug became a worse klutz than Marinette, they still took care of each other. He is the one pulling her out of the river.

And she is nothing but patient with him when he’s deathly scared of everything. Her expressions around him are downright adorable.

She’s so soft for him uwu

Which leads up to a nice parallel in Sandboy.

This scene was so fucking perfectly animated.

Homegirl is starstruck.

Homegirl is shocked at the cat’s nightmare.

Homegirl basically lets the loyal cat carry her around everywhere because she lost her powers and she doesn’t mind one bit.

The last part of Sandboy is when she genuinely wonders if Chat Noir sees her as the same Ladybug from his nightmare. After all, no one is scared of anything without a reason. And obviously, Chat Noir having such an opinion of her doesn’t sit well with her. He reassures her that he doesn’t see her that way, this happens:

This is honestly one of my favourite expressions of hers. And it’s a nice role reversal too. For once, Ladybug is the one doubting Chat Noir’s opinion of herself, and she gets a pleasant surprise out of it.

MARINETTE WATCHES CHAT NOIR MEMES. IT IS CANON.

Notice how sad Ladybug is to have to reject him again. Not because she wants to return his feelings and can’t. Because she has to hurt him by doing so. Her body is turned towards Adrien, but her eyes are turned towards Chat.

I know Chat got a lot of flack for how he acted. The salt stans’ reach is more extreme than bungee jumping, and while I don’t agree with how he acted, he quickly got over it and saved Ladybug from Frozer.His friendly wink was him saying ‘I’m sorry, we’re good now.“

And Ladybug knows he’s back to normal too. And yet again, that’s what matters.

I’m going with Part 2: Mayura first, because I wanna save something from Part 1: Heroes’ Day for last.

Ladybug is usually the level headed one among the two of them, and even she nearly loses hope.

"You still think we can win?"

"It’s like you said, we can’t lose hope. People are counting on us.”

“But our team crumbled!"

"Then let’s go back to what’s always worked, A duo! You and me against the world, m'lady!"

The reason for Ladybug and Chat’s success against Hawkmoth isn’t their superpowers, or even their prowess at using them. It is their teamwork, their trust, their friendship, and the love they have for each other, even if they don’t realise it yet. When one of them is down, the other will always be there to lift them up and reassure them. Their relationship with each other is the heart of their success as superheroes, not because of their miraculouses, but as the people wielding them.

Which brings me to my final point in this entire post for Season 2. Rena Rouge and Carapace’s protective coupley-banter was cute, Queen Bee making sure that Adrien won’t have any future siblings and Chat Noir joking about getting to chooses who fights against Hawkmoth using rock paper scissors was hilarious.

And then there’s Ladybug. Her mind is focused only on the battle, already a world away making plans on who to attack and who to avoid. This is such a huge defining moment for her, as this proves that she is a true and natural born leader.

And look who is the first to be at her side. Even if Chat jokes around a lot and has fun while fighting, he has a good head on his shoulders, and when he needs to be serious, he will always be there by Ladybug’s side. So this, was Season 2! Season 3 coming soon!

snake!Nino AU

this is a bullet fic rewrite of Desperada featuring my love for Nino (I’m not anti-Luka by the way I just like the potential softness of this AU, I have like.... I have like... twenty-fi... 25,913 different takes on Desperada and this is just my newest one)

—Nino is on board the Liberty with everyone else just chilling and vibing with Luka because he loves music too; he plays the violin because I said so and he’s just in the background tuning it and looking low-key sad while the whole “Luka flirts with Marinette and teaches her guitar” thing happens.

—When Kagami and Adrien show up, Nino is just absolutely ecstatic that Adrien was finally able to get out of the house, and he LIGHTS UP and is like “omg!!! You’re here!!! Is this Kagami!!! It’s so nice to finally meet you, you’re my sibling now, no take-backs.”

—And Alya is like “hey Adrien can I talk to you for a second,” so he stays there while Nino just drags Kagami off to show her his instrument and talk to her and she’s like “omg this guy is A LOT” but you can tell she’s happy that someone is paying attention to her

—Meanwhile, Alya is just trying so hard to get Adrien to talk to Marinette, and she’s just like “hmmm is someone a little jealous of Luka?” And Adrien is just like “no lol I’m fine with just playing piano, different people have different skills, I’m happy for him that he knows how to play the guitar.” And Alya is like “facepalms”

—Meanwhile, Marinette is still just panicking as she frantically glances back and forth between Luka and Adrien and Kagami and is just internally keysmashing

—so at this point, we’re only like 2 minutes into the episode, it all happened fast and Marinette hasn’t had time to react

—All of a sudden they’re interrupted by the sound of arguing above deck

—Which is, of course, Jagged Stone begging Anarka to play guitar for him

—She refuses, and Jagged sees Marinette and asks her if she knows any guitar players

—Marinette’s still just panicking and Nino is like “oh no my girl is having an anxiety” and so he just kinda gently steps in like “hey Jagged, I don’t play guitar but I can DJ and help mix music together if that helps”

—and Jagged’s like “you know what, what the heck, sure, I’ll take it, you can be my new partner” and Marinette is still just trying to cool down and stop panicking

—When, whoops, Desperada shows up out of nowhere, and is like “Jagged Stone!!! I can’t believe you’re trying to replace me!!” And she tries to zap Nino into dust, but Kagami, being an idiot who bonded with him already, just leaps in front of him and gets turned to dust instead.

—Cue the chaos where she tries to zap everyone who has an instrument, including Luka and Anarka, while also specifically going after Nino

—and Nino being a dumb self-sacrificial idiot sees Desperada almost get Alya (who’s trying to get footage of the Akuma battle of course) so Nino just starts playing his violin to get Desperada’s attention

—she almost gets him, but Adrien tackles Nino to the ground at the last second (the violin breaks and it’s very sad) and then helps him up and pulls him behind a corner, Alya sees them and starts sneaking around and shows up beside them a few seconds later

—Ladybug, who just transformed, spots them and hurries over, helping them make their way safely to the sewers, but Alya’s an idiot and is like “gotta stay and film” so it ends up being just Nino and Adrien down there

—Ladybug calls up her Lucky Charm and it goes like canon, she realizes she needs extra help so she runs over to Fu and picks up the snake miraculous (though she does seriously consider the turtle for a second because a shield would be nice, she’s not sure if 5 minutes would be enough time to figure out how to defeat Desperada, and then they’d be out of luck

—meanwhile, Adrien is like “hey Nino you should hide in here I’ll totally hide for real too” and Nino’s like “are you stupid I’m not going to hide in a locker, Alya’s in danger up there, they got Kagami who’s my sister now, I don’t make the rules”

—but the thing is, Ladybug just went get a miraculous for backup, and Nino is also trying to avoid suspicion and be like “Hey Adrien, you should hide down here though, it’d be a good idea if you were out of the way and safe and I was alone with Ladybug for a brief amount of time for NO REASON don’t ask questions”

—so they’re still just having a very dodgy argument in the locker room when Ladybug shows up and is like “screw it I’m not gonna come up with an excuse. Adrien, here’s the snake miraculous, congratulations”

—And Nino is like “aaaaAaaAaA oh my gosh!!! Adrien, you’re a superhero now!!! This is so cool!!!” And just fanboys his little heart out and Adrien is like “haha yay” but like it’s hard to be panicking about this when Nino is so happy

—Plagg doesn’t even get a chance to argue because everyone is in the room at the same time; Adrien just transforms into Aspik and they start going

—and things go similar to canon BUT Nino keeps being dumb and trying to sacrifice himself for Adrien because he’s stupid like that and I love him, and also, Nino’s presence gives Marinette something else to think about so she’s slightly less flustered because Nino is at least a normal person, (also it stops Adrien from flirting with Ladybug as much because not only is he like “Ladybug stop dying” he’s also like “Nino ST OP” because Nino just gets disintegrated every time he takes his eyes off of him

—so because Marinette is panicking less she’s also spending a lot more time being like “where the H E C K is my dumb kitty cat, where I S he?”

—So Adrien’s still suffering (TM) but he realizes a lot sooner that this isn’t working and he needs to just detransform to talk to Plagg because he’s having anxiety because so many things are happening all at once (oh also Alya shows up in a couple of loops and gets vaporized a couple of times too)

—So anyways he finally restarts the loop and is like “I’m done, I can’t do this, being a hero is Too Much Stress for me I guess,”

—and of course, he hands the miraculous off to Nino, because 1) it’s Nino 2) Adrien feels like Nino’s been doing a better job of paying attention to Desperada and protecting them during time loops than Adrien has (which isn’t necessarily true but Adrien is a self-deprecating idiot) 3) Nino is the only other person there

—So Nino is like trying to hug Adrien and tell him it’s going to be okay because Adrien is crying actual tears but Adrien’s like “nope gotta go be elsewhere whoops”

—Marinette’s like “hey Nino I guess you can be the snake, your FIRST MIRACULOUS EVER WINK WINK and Nino’s like HAHA YEP NEVER SEEN ONE OF THESE BEFORE IN MY LIFE

—Adrien runs off and apologizes to Plagg and Chat Noir shows up a moment later

—Nino notices how much less flustered Ladybug is by Chat Noir than by Adrien and is like "oh worm?" and probably brings it up with Adrien at the end of the episode

—they all fight side by side

—Nino realizes that he needs to provide a distraction so Ladybug and Chat Noir can take Desperada by surprise, so he uses his DJing skills to start blasting music over the liberty’s speakers

—They win,

—Ladybug is like “I couldn’t have done it without you Chat Noir I love you I mean haha nothing”

—Chat Noir fanboys over snake!Nino and is like “you’re my hero omg”

—epic three-sided “pound it”

—Marinette uses the miracle cure to put everything back to norma

—Adrien shows up soon and Nino just RUSHES over to him to say that he definitely did amazing and just showers him with love and support and Adrien just showers compliments back at Nino and asks for his autograph

—Kagami shows up again a few minutes later and is super awkwardly like “what do I do now” and Nino is like “come over here you’re one of the bros” and they just chill and have fun and Nino just starts showing them his SoundCloud

—Marinette still feels guilty for panicking earlier in the morning and is like “I gotta fix this” so she talks to Jagged and is like “btw Luka is a very good guitar player, you should talk to him”

—Vivica (aka desperada) gets her job with Jagged back and she and Luka end up talking because of it and they start bonding over their love for guitars and Vivica offers to let Luka be a guest in their performance and to give him more professional guitar lessons and he’s like “holy hecking yes”

—Marinette is like “problem solved I guess but now what do I do? Oh no, Adrien and Kagami are being happy together over there”

—Alya is like “go talk to them” and Marinette’s like “I can’t what if I panic” and Alya’s like “fine I’ll talk to them first” and she just flops down next to Nino and starts joking along with them

—Marinette follows a little bit later and immediately Kagami is like “Marinette you’re so amazing, I didn’t know you were friends with Jagged Stone? Adrien was telling me you designed his album cover? That’s incredible I wish I could be as talented as you” and Marinette’s just like “omg Kagami is not evil?? Who knew??”

—The episode ends with Marinette trying to act as normal as she can around Adrien and then Alya’s like “hey Kagami I gotta show you the photos I took of the Akuma fight. Nino, you should come too” and she just winks at Marinette and Marinette’s like “oh no I am alone with Adrien”

—but then Adrien is just like, “I wish I could be part of the Ladyblog, Ladybug is so cool *dreamy face* and Marinette just dies immediately

Just Good Friends

Lol here’s a short fic. Alya is super suspicious because Marinette and Adrien keep acting like they’re dating. But actually, Ladybug and Chat Noir fell for each other a few months before, learned each other’s identities a month in, and decided it might be too coincidental if Marinette and Adrien started dating at the same time. Hope you like it!

Alya was confused. She was angry. And frankly, she was a little impressed by the sheer craziness of her best friend’s lies. Plain and simple, Marinette was dating Adrien. Alya just… well she didn’t have the proof yet.

It all started a few months back, when Mari’s stuttering sort of just disappeared. Alya had been sitting in her usual seat in the second row of the classroom when Mari walked in that day. She seemed normal. If anything, she appeared happier and sleepier than normal.

“Good morning, Adrien,” she said dreamily, flashing him a sweet smile void of any of her usual awkwardness. Adrien smiled back, equally happy. But neither really seemed to see one another. It was as if they were both off in their heads thinking about the same pleasant thing. Needless to say, Alya’s journalist instincts shuddered.

“You alright, girl?” Alya asked as her friend floated into her seat next to her. Mari just nodded.

This odd behavior carried on for weeks. If anything, it only got worse. And about a month later, as Alya finally decided to let it go, something even stranger happened. Adrien and Marinette became best friends. Overnight!

Alya had walked into the school, minding her own business, when she stumbled across the two of them giggling by Mari’s locker. Their body language was shockingly intimate, with Adrien’s arm around her shoulder and Mari’s hand on his chest.

“What’s going on here?” Alya demanded. Mari grinned up at her, looking for all the world as if her crush on Adrien had finally been realized.

“Nothing, Al, me and Adrien were just talking about this funny thing we did yesterday.”

Alya stared into her best friend’s unflinching eyes and then turned to Adrien. He blinked at her intensity.

“You okay, Alya?” Adrien asked.

“The better question is are you and Mari okay? Or, ya know. Better than okay, if you catch my drift.”

Adrien laughed.

“Mari and I are great! No need to worry about us. See you in class, Alya,” Adrien waved, and walked off arm in arm with Marinette.

As the week went on, Adrien and Marinette continued to act like they never had a drop of awkwardness between them. They talked inches from each other’s faces, held an illegal amount of eye contact, and basically worshipped each other. But no matter how many times Alya confronted Marinette about it, she always said the same thing.

“We’re just really good friends!”

It was a disgusting betrayal of friendship. Alya simply didn’t know what to do. After a month passed, Alya broke down.

“Marinette, you’re dating him! You are! Just admit it!”

Marinette paused as she took her seat next to Alya, and smiled slyly.

“Okay, Al, I’ll tell you what happened between me and Adrien,” she whispered.

Alya leaned forward, eager to finally know the truth.

“About a month ago, we had a little chat” — Mari suddenly started giggling, but after a moment composed herself — “and anyways, we realized that we had a lot in common. We’re super compatible!” — Mari giggled again — “and now we’re best friends!”

Alya gapped.

“Are you trying to tell me that your crush on Adrien is completely gone? That this is platonic?”

“Yes, Al. I, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, am not dating Adrien Agreste.”

Adrien walked in right as Marinette finished this declaration and broke down laughing.

“And I, Adrien Agreste, am not dating Marinette Dupain-Cheng!”

Alya screamed in frustration and walked out.

Another month passed by, and Alya found herself confused, angry, and impressed at Adrien and Marinette’s commitment to gaslighting her. She wanted to be happy for her best friend for finally dating the love of her life. But she couldn’t. She was being denied that luxury. Her own boyfriend was starting to worry about her mental health.

“Al, at least they’re happy. Does it matter if they’re dating or not?” Nino asked, pulling her into a much needed hug. Alya threw him off her.

“They are dating, Nino! They are! Look at them!”

Nino glanced over at Mari and Adrien, who were at the moment huddling together by the door of the classroom. Adrien’s hand cupped Mari’s cheek as she whispered fiercely to him.

“Al, we’re in the middle of an akuma attack. Don’t you think it’s nice they’re comforting each other?”

Alya shook her head angrily as an explosion rocked the building a few classrooms away.

“No, it’s infuriating.”

Adrien suddenly stood up, yanked the door open, and yelled at Mari to run. Everyone turned to him in confusion.

“I had to get Mari out, I couldn’t just let her be a sitting duck with the rest of us,” Adrien said, as Alya stomped up to him.

“What about the rest of us, Agreste? Do you only care about Mari? Is it because you’re dating her? Is it because you’re in love?” Alya demanded.

Adrien rolled his eyes and grinned.

“Alya, I told you. I, Adrien Agreste, am not dating Marinette Dupain-Cheng. And anyways, I told her to go get Ladybug and Chat Noir.”

Before Alya could physically attack him, Ladybug swung in asking if everyone was okay. Alya let out a sigh of relief. Now Ladybug and Chat Noir were a couple of people she could understand. A few months ago, she caught them on camera embracing after a pretty nasty akuma. After that, people saw them making out all over the city. They even let her interview them, so they could make their relationship public knowledge. Alya basked in the glow of their definite and proven relationship.

As the akuma burst in after Ladybug, she jumped into action, scooping Adrien into her arms and sending the akuma flying with her yo-yo. She quickly led the class to the courtyard and demanded for them to get somewhere safe.

“Adrien, are you okay?” Ladybug asked the blonde, as he smiled lovingly up at her from where she held him bridal style.

Alya stopped running away and turned on them, blinded by her own rage.

“Ladybug! What are you doing! You’re with Chat Noir! You told me that you’re with Chat Noir!”

Ladybug and Adrien stared at her for a moment, the latter nervously and the former oddly amused. Ladybug laughed after a moment and waved her free hand passively at Alya.

“Chat Noir and I agreed that Adrien can be my celebrity free pass. I’ve always been such a big fan of his work. Chat said if I ever got the chance to hook up with him, I totally could,” Ladybug explained proudly.

Alya’s jaw dropped and Adrien’s face turned bright red.

“In fact! I should probably make good on that, come here handsome boy.”

Ladybug pulled Adrien into a very deep, very French kiss. And just a few feet away from them, Alya spontaneously combusted.

And that’s the story of how Alya got trust issues.

Give Me A Second Chance - Maribat Ideas

Inspired by many reincarnation (isekai) stories. Since I love them, lol.

I am sorry, I was supposed to post a bonus story of A Little Too Much, right? But here I am posting another new one. But heyyy don't worry because the bonus is still in progress ;D. And I don't know if this one is interesting or not haha.

Before reincarnation, there's a lot of angst in this timeline :)

Marinette and her friends' age are around 20 - 21. They were adults. Hawkmoth still hasn't beaten. And Lila is never stopping making a problem to Marinette. The class already brainwashed by Lila's lies, and since no one ever pointing out the lies, Lila's kingdom is getting bigger, bigger, and bigger.

Adrien has tried to defend Marinette as best as he can but being too softy, his words don't have any impact on the class. Poor Adrien. Adrien as chat is tried to help Marinette too, in any way he can, every night he visits Marinette to comfort her as often as he can.

Gabriel got more strict as time passed, he gives Adrien more schedule, and always forced Adrien to befriend with Lila. He decided to include her as his partner's model, much to Adrien's distress. This put a lot of stress for Adrien, and because of this, he rarely got free time, which made him rarely can change into Chat Noir to help Ladybug when they're patrolling or whenever there's Akuma. This make him change, from the sunshine boy to a cold boy. No, he's not evil or anything like that, he'll still kind to Marinette but because he's already tired with his father and Lila's problem, he rarely smiles, and his eyes look so tired. At this point, they already know their identity because at that time, Chat Noir is so tired and he just blubbering out his problem about his father and Lila without he realized it.

Marinette always tried to help Adrien too. But she can't do anything. Since she doesn't have any friends (except Luka, Kagami, Adrien, and maybe Chloe) to be asked for help. Alya? She's already become Lila's right hand. Nino? Well, she doesn't know what Nino's thinking really. It's clearly he's worried for his best friend too, but when Marinette asks his help to ask Gabriel together about Adrien's schedules, he refused to help because it's Marinette. And Marinette is hated by his girlfriend, which was her best friend in the past, and now is her enemy, apparently. He doesn't want to break up with Alya because he's helping Marinette. This made Marinette very disappointed to Nino.

While other classmates aren't that close to Adrien so of course they don't want to included with this problem. And they don't even realize, the fact that Adrien is having a problem with his father and Lila. Moreover they hate Marinette, there's no way they will help her.

So Marinette tried to confront Gabriel with Luka. Kagami wants to help but she can't because her strict parent said to not interfere with Agreste's problem. While Chloe had transferred to another school in New York with her mother because of that incident. That incident involving the pesky girl ---Lila---.

But of course, her attempt to confront Gabriel was failed miserably. Gabriel continued to insist on his point. And before Marinette can counter his words, he kicked out Marinette and Luka, saying that if Marinette kept pushing him like this, he threatened he would break off her chance to work on Agreste's fashion industries.

Let's just skip to a final battle, shall we?

Since Adrien is very busy, he arrived on time, at that time. On the last battle, Ladybug with help from Viperion and Ryuko were battling Hawkmoth, Mayura, and Akumatized Lila. Somehow in this battle, Lila manages to turn all of the class into an Akumatized one, with their hatred to one girl, Marinette. This makes Ladybug, Viperion, and Ryuko having difficult on defeating them. Until Master Fu decided to get help from Chloe with horse kwami's ability to transport. With Queen Bee and Jade Turtle decided to drop in, their chances of winning increase.

The battle is really intense, it takes many lives. Including her family. Her friends. Her peoples. Many innocent people died. Marinette hope, after the battle, she can return all of this mess to before this battle begins. But the real question is... Will they win this battle? Chat Noir finally comes, although his appearance really makes you think twice. His eyes aren't holding any light anymore, his movement is rather sluggish. He really tired, but he forced himself to comes help Ladybug, his best friend, his partner. There's no way he leaves her dealing Hawkmoth all alone.

But Hawkmoth of course notice this. He grins, thinking that his chance to get the miraculous is finally come. When ladybug and her friends are battling with the remaining akumatized people, Mayura with Hawkmoth's command sends Monster to strike Ladybug. Ladybug almost got hurt before she was pushed to the side in the last minute of the attack. The one who pushed her is the one who got attacked. Which is... Chat Noir.

Chat Noir was grabbed by the monster after he got attacked. Ladybug tried to help him as quick as she can but the monster was quicker than her, and take off his ring then toss him aside like a rag doll. Ladybug of course catches him before he touches the ground. She tried to stop his blood, but it was useless, Chat Noir, no, Adrien, already knows this was his limit. He said "...Thank you for being my friend, thank you for considering me as a partner, thank you for helping me... I am sorry I can't help much... Goodbye, Marinette..." before he leaves, for good.

Ladybug then resumes her battle, this time with her tears on her face, and devastated feeling ---for losing a best friend, best partner--- on her heart. In the end, it's just Ladybug, Hawkmoth and Mayura. Lila disappeared somewhere, nobody knows. Viperion, Ryuko, Queen Bee, Jade Turtle, and all akumatized people have been defeated.

Ladybug feeling so tired, her body already reached her limit. Hawkmoth is approaching her, and she should stand up right now, but with her broken legs, and not only that, her transformation is already worn off not a long time ago, she can't do anything besides laying useless on the rubble. She tried to stay away as best as she can though.

Hawkmoth then takes off her earring, much to her horror. He laughing because finally! Finally, after many years of battling, he got the miraculous and now he can---

Hawkmoth suddenly collapsed and transform back to Gabriel, Marinette surprised but she quickly shook it off. She tried to get the earring back but someone else beat her. And that is.. Lila. Lila got the earring. And on her left hand, there is the cat miraculous. On the background, you can see Mayura as Nathalie is collapsed too.

Marinette felt shiver at the smile on Lila's face. This is the first time, she shows her fear of Lila. Which brought satisfaction for Lila. Marinette tried to persuade Lila but does she ever listen? Nope. Lila is telling her that she really despises Marinette from the very beginning. She really wants to ruin her life. And whenever she success to manipulate the class to bully Marinette, Marinette always shows her brave face, Marinette always ignored her class, Marinette isn't even glancing at her whenever she starts to tell her lies.

That's why she wishes that Marinette is gone. forever. Never born in this world. Before Marinette can stop her, Lila already used the miraculous power to realize her wishes. And white light envelops everything.

After reincarnation, this is the part where everything really starts ;)

Marinette is born in Gotham's city. At the very beginning, when she was born, she still has her memories of the past (Her life as Ladybug and all of the battle until her last moment with Lila). She thought she was born in a different place, different world. So she tried to forget the past or not thinking it too much. And she tried to live her life in this Gotham. But of course, the past still haunting her.

At 5 maybe? She begins to learn martial arts from her mother. She trains her speed, her strength, and her brain. Because this is Gotham. Criminal's city. Although she's not a Superhero anymore, she still has to defend herself, right?

When she's teen, she begins to study in Gotham's academy. There, she meets Damian Wayne. And they got close because of the project school.

She of course already knows Gotham's vigilantes, which is Batman and his robins. But she tried to avoid them because she doesn't want any trouble..? Not really, it's just because she, Marinette this world, is just a normal girl, so there's no way the batfam would take any interest of her, right?

She was wrong. Because she got close to Damian, to the point she is his best friend. Of course one of the vigilantes, which is Robin, would take an interest of her. She wonders why though. Yeah, go figure it out.

At 15 or 16, Marinette was walking with Damian to Wayne Enterprises. Damian was appointed by his father to helping his brother in translating between the foreign class for their trip to Gotham's city, while Marinette just accompanying him (at his request of course ;)).

At first, Marinette isn't really care with this foreign class. But after they got there. After they were introduced by Damian's brother to this foreign class. Marinette surprised. Really surprised, to see familiar people. Her classmate, Her best friend, and... Lila. She just froze while Damian introduced his name to the class with a perfect french's language.

Apparently, there's no one who recognizes her. Which is she realized until she saw someone who's not supposed to be in that class. The one who replaces Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

She realized she lives in the same world as the past but she just moved. When she supposed to born in Paris, she was born on Gotham. When she's supposed to attend Collège Françoise Dupont, she attends Gotham's academy. When she's supposed to befriend with Adrien, Luka, Kagami, and other people, here, she befriends with Damian and other people.

And she realized too, that in this world, there's still Hawkmoth terrorizing Paris, from the way the class talk.

At this point, I'm planning to make Marinette helping their old friends in defeating Hawkmoth, now that she knows his real identity. But of course, she has to befriend them first before she can help. Because I don't think they'll accept stranger helps? She is avoiding Lila as best as she can, though. And she's not alone of course! There's no way Damian would let it! She's too precious for him, anyway :D. She'll get help from the Batfam and probably from Justice too? Dunno.

That's all. I don't know if there's already the same idea with this though... And I still haven't figured out if :

I should put Tom and Sabine as Marinette's parent or they still live in Paris with different daughter/son (just for more angst) in After reincarnation.

I should put another original character or already existing character as Marinette and Ladybug's replacement in After reincarnation.

Hi yes, I KNOW this isn’t one of my OTHER projects, but this song gives me major Damian and Adrien vibes. I like to think Adrien and Damian could bond over shitty parents, Damian about his mom, and Adrien about his dad. Managed to get this typed up between breaks on ALiG; chapter 6 is making steady progress finally lol This would be a Daminette/Jondrien fic, with Damian and Adrien Bros.

SO the idea here is this.

Obviously the parts in the beginning about the mother are from Damian’s point of view, and about the oppression he dealt with while in her care. Talia for those who aren’t as into DC is just, WOW levels of awful. She’s controlling, and very much trying to map out all of Damian’s life; and when Damian’s young, he’s fine with this. It’s kind of a classic case of ‘mother knows best’, but at its absolute worst. This starts to change once Damian goes to stay with his father in canon of course. Age Range for Damian: 10 to 12 or so?

The next three lines of lyrics are more from Adrien’s/Chat’s perspective; the ‘lambs led to slaughter’ are Adrien and the rest of the Miraculous team, and it really is about how angry Adrien is at his father for what’s he’s done to his family, and his friends. I imagine in the background during this part Adrien realizing his father is Hawkmoth during the final altercation; Gabriel will try to Akumatize him, and before Ladybug can step in, Chat cataclysms the butterfly, and just starts. BEATING THE HELL OUT OF HIS FATHER. They’re like 18 at this point, and his transformation wears off as he goes to take the Miraculous, and once it does, Gabriel kicks him off. The fight gets ugly, but Ladybug had managed to before this fight, fix the peafowl miraculous. And when she heals Emilie while Chat’s fighting, the woman wakes up in time to see her son go flying. She beats his ass with the assistance of Ladybug. It’s gonna get sappy after that. Ages for this Adrien/Mari: 18; they’ll leave paris 4 years later, to Gotham.

Following that, the next four lines I generally see being from both boys; Damian, once he’s embraced living with his father and brothers, and becoming Robin, reflecting on how his mother was wrong; and Adrien, once his father is in prison and he moves to the states with Marinette, Chloe, and his mother and begins to find peace without the overbearing nature of his father. Maybe there will also be some true Felix and Adrien bonding?? Amelie will definitely show up cause like, holy shit, hr sister is back???! Once again, here’s ages: Mari/Adrien: 22, Damian: 23, Jon: 21

The ‘Black Roses’, for me, can be interpreted in a couple different ways. One, both boys hail from wealth; Adrien as a model, and Damian as both an Al Ghul, and the Wayne heir. Canonically, we know Bruce cultivates roses, and I’d imagine they’re grown in grief; much the same for Adrien, as his father didn’t much care for any flowers until his mother ‘died’. Two, it could just symbolize both boys breaking away from, and grieving, what they never really had; albeit, a bit angrily given the tone of the song.

And following the first chorus, we dive a little into how Damian feels about Selina, initially. He doesn’t trust her, doesn’t want her around his family, and certainly not around his father, who is, disturbingly, the more stable parent (we all know how fucked up Brucie really is, poor man) the boy’s had. And he maybe resents Bruce a little bit, cause like, why couldn’t he have loved Talia? Why this woman? When Selina and Bruce break up, he’s even more angry because he’d been starting to like Selina and seeing them both hurting is annoying for him. It does pass of course, like things usually do. He’s shocked when Bruce introduces Emilie. It’s hard not to like her though. Selina and Bruce break up when he’s 15, and he meets Emilie when he’s 23.

The next Few lines are once again more Adrien focused, his own reflecting on how he’s his father’s son. By this point in the lyrics, he’s met Jon, and he’s terrified of hurting him how his father hurt Emilie; he doesn’t want to be anything like Gabriel, but the media has done a bit of a number on him the last few years. This is where he and Damian also start to find they have a bit more in common than they thought.

I like to imagine the last bit of the song is these 2 blessed boys bonding over trauma slowly but surely, feat. Adrien teasing Damian over Mari (because she’s literally everyone’s crush!!), and Damian hissing half threats back to tell Jon about the hearts in Adrien’s notebook. With a guest appearance from!! Overprotective Bros Damian and Adrien with a Visiting Nino, who’s really just happy to have a Third Bro, and So Stoked to be Here. Chloe and Marinette are wondering where they went wrong. Damian teaches Adrien how to deal with trauma in a Better Way, and Adrien teaches Damian how to Be Silly.

Ages by the end are all about 23 or so, one moment, math time....

Ok, yeah, 23 or so. As fun as it is writing teenagers again, I love writing them as adults because it opens up the door for deeper character introspection, and i am A SLUT for that shit! Plus that means Jason and Tim can smoke weed and no one can tell me otherwise. OOH AND I’M SO EXCITED FOR EMILIE AND ALFRED BONDING!!! THEY’RE BOTH PEACOCKS! I do NOT need another story to write but wow this idea is really growing on me I tell you what.

And this doesn’t even hardly TOUCH on what Marinette and the girls have been up to in the background because holy shit. A team made of Mari, Chloe, and Emilie with Alya as back up when she shows up, plus Amelie; add in the Wayne girls and it’s CHAOS.

And Bruce, well.

He can’t remember a time when the manor was so lively; and he surprisingly wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I might put together a proper outline at some point but who knows lol It’s taken me ages to get the will to type this out; I’ve had this in my head since like October of 2019 I think?? so a few months

also I totally blame the inclusion of Brucilie on @kandoesfanfics-writes or littlekittykanny over on Ao3; I’ve absolutely fallen in love with the way they write Bruce and Emilie and it found its way in there! Thank you for introducing me to this beautiful ship!! <3

Miraculous but make it Squid Games

Do I know why I keep making Miraculous posts? Nope. But here we go with another one~

(Also this takes place in Korea cuz I don't know any French children's games and didn't wanna complicate my own life so just roll with it)

Let’s introduce our characters first.

Marinette Dupain Cheng— A French student studying fashion in Korea who has lost all her money and is in severe debt.

Adrien Agreste— Marinette’s friend from France, and a former model who left his father and his company behind to travel the world ending up in Korea where he gets a very interesting offer.

So let’s start with the fact that there are obviously no miraculouses here. Both were two normal students who used to be friends but drifted apart, not even knowing that the other was in the same country, years later.

Marinette, who used to study in Sungkyunkwan University, is completely broke and the only reason she could afford school is because of her parents. Now, with a degree and no jobs (Korea is hard to foreigners, and even after years, that’s what she is to everyone), she's lost all motivation in life. Her sketchbooks, once full of life, now lie empty.

At her lowest moment, Marinette sits at a subway and contemplates what to do with life when a dude comes and offers her money, and all she has to do is play a Korean game. Ending with a stinging cheek and 40,000 won in her hands, the man offers her a card and tells her to think. She gets a lot of money, and all she has to do is play some games.

On the other side, we have Adrien. Adrien, who is more like Chat— confident, witty and VERY flirty. He left his father’s house when he was 18 and has been travelling ever since. He and Nino went to the states, travelled Europe by car, went to India (cuz yes) and currently makes a stop in Korea, where he is approached by a man. This man asks them if they’re up for a job, where they gets a decent amount of money and all he has to do is follow the rules and keep his mouth shut.

Adrien has experienced many things in his life so far, and his money supply is depleting. Thinking of this as some drug shit, he agrees and signs the contract (fucking idiot. After staying with his father and being a model for so long he should’ve known to at least read things properly smh). Seeing him, Nino does too.

Fast forward to the very first game. Adrien has been training for almost a month now and has a little idea of what he’s working for here.

He knows not to ask any questions, to only take the head mask off when he’s in his room and do whatever the man in the black mask tells him to.

He doesn’t ask a single question cuz he’s seen what happens to those who do. What happened to Nino, as his best friend’s brains splattered all across his mask. (sorry, but like. People had to die.)

When the participants play their first game, he doesn’t even flinch at the absolute massacre happening on his screen. He thinks about how nothing can faze him anymore when he catches sight of two pigtails on the screen. Two pigtails that look almost blue under the sun’s glare.

And that is when his stomach DROPS.

Let's yeet back to Marinette. Our sis is dying inside but she WILL NOT die outside. She came here for the money and now she has a greater motivation to survive— her life.

She is the last person in the game— number 467, and all that goes on in her head as three people beside her are shot due to the creepy doll’s eyes is the fact that she will remain the last one standing. It’s not about the money anymore, it’s about survival.

After the first game, when given the option, she presses her hand on the cross without a second’s hesitation.

As she makes her way home, she is relieved, that the torture is over.

And then she meets Adrien.

Back to Adrien. When all the participants head back, he uses two of his precious leave days from this fucked up organisation to track Marinette and meet her. When they do, they fucking collide cuz he saw her almost die and she almost died. They have reason to cling onto one another shush.

And then Adrien tells her. He tells her everything. He tells her what is happening, how many people have died, how Nino had died, and how he needs her help to shut all this down.

Marinette runs away. She doesn’t wanna be there. And then she starts looking at all the chats and pictures of her and Nino. How he was one of her very first friends. And so she goes back to the same cafe and meets Adrien again.

They make a plan. They will make sure she survives, for which she will need allies in the game (not outside the games, cuz she will always have him there).

And so armed with knowledge, Marinette goes back into the game and meets a naïve Korean man who teams up with everyone, a bitch who will survive somehow (and will kill anyone to do so— yes I mean Lila) and a young man who seems so fucking familiar.

And so the games go on and Marinette keeps surviving. And as that happens, she starts to spend her nights in a secluded area with Adrien, where they talk, they reminisce and they find a reason to live in each other.

And then the marble game happens. She partners with the boy, Luka, who turns out to be another face from back home. She partners with him because she trusts him and she is afraid nobody else will partner with him because of the growing bloody wound on his head courtesy of the thugs trying to kill him.

Adrien is the guard assigned to her and Luka, and he watches as Luka slowly and steadily grows more and more out of it and Marinette starts full-on sobbing. Right when the time is about to end, Luka gives his marbles to Marinette and begs her to survive this game and live, and go back to Paris and tell Juleka about all this, as his final goodbye. He looks her in the eyes with a smile until the very last second when Adrien shoots him.

That night, the VIPs arrive and both Mari and Adrien know that they need to move on with their plan, but they spend the whole night by diving tanks they know won’t be used anymore, cuz the Black Mask Man made an example out of everyone who tried to betray him. Marinette is curled into Adrien and in the silence, she vows to end them. That morning (night?) when they are sneaking back, they come into contact with one of the black-masked dudes who would serve the VIPs and Adrien knocks him out and switches outfits.

He kisses Marinette before making his way to the VIP chamber.

Imagine his surprise when after almost half a decade he hears his father’s voice behind the mask of a man wearing an elaborate gold butterfly headset.

He watches in rapt attention as Marinette thankfully chooses number 15, with Lila right in front of her. Now we don’t like Lila (here specifically) because after Tug of War she started to turn people against Marinette, because of whose strategy their team won the game. Marinette was almost killed by many of the thugs in the nighttime because of Lila, and when there’s 30 seconds left and one step left to be determined, Marinette pushes Lila off one and scores victory for her and number 16, Alya Cesaire. (Who is in Korea for journalism internships or some shit and got roped into this because of lack of money, and became Marinette’s greatest ally)

They both know that one of them will die at the end, and so Marinette tells Alya of hers and Adrien’s plan to end this thing once and for all, and so they go and play the final Squid Game, where at the end, Alya very convincingly stabs herself, making Marinette the winner.

On the other side of the glass, Adrien, who has gotten the interest of a disgusting old VIP, puts an idea into his head about how the VIPs should really go and really be in the scene and see what has happened, and that old man, fascinated by the idea of being in the zone, convinces his 'friends' that they should go.

And so they all go, surrounding a blood-soaked and sobbing Marinette and start laughing and congratulating her. (cue Gabriel recognising her and being condescending as fuck. Imagine dialogues like "you had so much potential and now are just reduced to this", which cements the fact that he really is Gabriel Agreste).

That is when Adrien, who was escorting them along with the Black Mask, pulls his gun on them, Alya pulls the knife “out” of her and takes the old fat man who liked Adrien hostage and Marinette pulls out her own knife to Gabriel.

They try to make a deal, and when Gabriel almost gets the better of them (cue seggsy fight scene which I don’t have the words to describe rn) Marinette stabs him in the neck.

After threatening the VIPs and getting all of their identities, as well as the black mask dude’s identity, they go to the nearest police station and give all of their gathered evidence.

Due to the physical and psychological trauma and torture faced by Alya and Marinette, as well as part of a settlement plea from the VIPs, they both get all the money.

The two girls plus Adrien fly out to France and reconcile with their families. Adrien and Marinette visit Nino’s family, Juleka and Rose and as many of the people as they can.

The two of them get a small apartment together, unlike the huge mansion that Adrien was left after Gabriel’s death (which he sells and uses the money to be given to all the victim's families)

He also becomes the owner of Gabriel, and with Marinette turns it over into a completely different company (cuz Gabriel was one corrupt bastard)

adrien doesn't deserve this. clear his mentions with love and support. him and marinette. we know they will get through this, they're our heroes and we wouldn't want anyone else.

Three days of non-stop tweets, comments, videos, and reports. Three days of their transformation on every screen. Three days of no sign of Hawkmoth. Three days of investigating and searching. Three days of barely any sleep.

Marinette was worried about Adrien, as was most of the world, and she knew they had to act quickly before GabriMoth did anything he would regret.

"Adrien," Marinette said and handed him a glass of water. "You need to take your eyes off the computer. Trust me, I know how much it can hurt after hours of nothing but screens," Marinette tried to persuade him to take a break.

Adrien sighed and took a sip of the water, only to please Marinette. "Mari, I can't. I can't let my father be out there, able to do whatever. We have to find him."

Marinette nodded. "And we will. Now that things have sort of calmed down around your house, let's go survey everything. See if they left anything behind that gives us a hint as to where they are, and maybe even see if we can find your bodyguard and ask him what he knew."

"I'm pretty sure he had no idea about my father," Adrien said. "But it never hurts to ask."

"Great," Marinette smiled. "I'm going to call the team and update them on our stations and plan; you go eat the snack my mom made," She pointed to the trap door to force Adrien to go.

"Marinette, I'll be fine-"

"Uh-uh," She shook her head. "I already ate the snack. Go eat so we can be at our top game for when we go back. Who knows how long we'll be out," She reasoned, and pushed him to make him go. Finally, he agreed with a slight smile and walked out of the room. Marinette had Alya, Nino, and Chloé on lookout around Paris as long as she could. They were to keep an eye out for suspicious activity so Marinette and Adrien could do remote work. They were a little worried about Hawkmoth knowing Rena Rouge and Carapace's identities, but in reality, it makes some sense.

Marinette explained what was going on to Alya and asked her to relay the message to the other two. As soon as she got off the phone, Marinette went downstairs to gather Adrien and the Kwamis, which were finally introduced to Sabine and Tom.

"I'm impressed you got him to listen!" Sabine complimented when Marinette walked into the kitchen.

Marinette shrugged with a smile. "I think you knew you needed to eat, too," She reasoned with Adrien, who only nodded in response. "Deep down."

Adrien shook his head, ultimately agreeing with Marinette, and thanked Sabine for the snack. "We've got some work to do. We'll be back later," Marinette told her mother.

"Be safe," Sabine replied and sighed as soon as the door shut, as she will never stop being worried about them.

The Agreste Mansion had police tape surrounding it, and it was locked up, tight. They wanted to keep tourists away, and make sure if Hawkmoth tried to get back in, it would be a lot harder than before. Thankfully, Marinette and Adrien still had access to the mansion, as well as Gorilla, because there had been no accusations against him.

Ladybug and Chat Noir went through the gate and the front door, making to lock it back up when they got inside. "We need to go check his office and the lair first," Chat Noir directed. "Grab everything Miraculous related behind my mother's picture I'll see if there's anything else besides butterflies," He explained and started to lead the way back to the office.

The picture was still open from the gala the other day, so at least they didn't have to pry it open or detransform to get one t]of the Kwami's to open it. Marinette grabbed the bag she brought along and piled everything into it that even had a slight relation to the Miraculous or Hawkmoth- which was most of the things in the cabinet.

Adrien was having a tough time finding the spot on the floor that took him to the lair, but he could have sworn it was right where he was standing. "Why is it not working?" He grumbled. "Oh, maybe- Plagg, claws off!" But no, that didn't work either. It was like it was turned off and not accessible anymore.

"What's wrong with it?" Ladybug asked. Adrien groaned and turned back into Chat Noir, not explaining what happened. "Well, that's okay. We can come back later. Let's take this stuff to Master Fu and see what he knows about it all. Maybe we'll get some hints," She suggested.

Chat Noir nodded. "That's a good idea. Maybe he'll have an extra dose of that sleeping cure he made," He joked, barely a smile on his face.

"I'm sure we can ask him about that, too," Ladybug said.

Ladybug and Chat Noir ran across rooftops to get to Master Fu's salon as fast as they could. They talked over the phone the day after the gala, but it was high time they caught him up to speed in person and get some expert advice.

After detransforming in the alley nearby, they walked around the corner and into the shop. "Master Fu?" Marinette called out as they walked into the shop. "It's Marinette and Adrien."

"Ah, welcome, you two!" Master Fu called out as he came out from the back. "Adrien, I am deeply sorry for everything that's happening. We will figure this out," Master Fu promised.

"Thank you," Adrien said. "We got a few things from the house, but we still have to go back to investigate a bit more, but hopefully we can get something from this," Adrien handed him the bag.

Marinette opened her mouth before they could start talking about the contents of the bag. "Oh, real quick," She interrupted. "Adrien hasn't been sleeping these past few days. Do you have any leftover of that cure you gave us a while ago? Maybe it wore off," She reasoned.

Master Fu laughed before realizing she was serious. "I'm sorry, but the cure was a placebo. It was fake! I guess you two just felt more comfortable together," Master Fu winked.

"A fake?" Both Marinette and Adrien exclaimed. Well, at least it proves that they really need each other for more than one reason.
