Amanita Porter
A highly talented Illusionist, Amanita was known to have used…unorthodox methods within her Illusions. Whispers of her using a mix of Oracle theories within her execution of Illusions were uttered. Although no one can deny her uncanny results from these methods.
Because of her talent, she joined the Illusion Coven at seventeen summers. Shortly after she met Perry, who had to interview her as the Illusionist rising through the ranks quickly. It’s a tale as old as time, they fell in love, married, and a young Augustus Porter was brought into the world.
Tumblr media
Shortly after Gus’ birth, Amanita began experiencing hallucinations and symptoms of delirium. The very magic she thrived in had turned against her. The symptoms gradually became worse until Amanita suffered Magical Erosion and passed when Gus was only four summers.
Tumblr media
Perry tried everything in his power to help his wife. No Healer would help, they would give the same stagnant answers over and over again. So he took matters into his own hands. As an Oracle he could use his Magic to see into the future. Find an outcome where his wife lives and Gus is not without a mother. A future where Amanita remembers himself and her son, and not trapped within the horrors and false images her mind and magic creates.
The love he has for his wife leads to his own slow decent into madness. He looks too far and to much, improperly at that. And so, he too begins to forget, and while hallucinations and fears do not plague Perry as they did his wife, faded memories do.
Tumblr media
Amanita Porter and her Palisman, Mirage.
Once again Thank You to the amazing @ogjujunwa for bringing Amanita to life! Her art is wonderful, go follow!

On this Diwali, know about that powerful "Aadiram" God, only by worshiping whom we can be freed from the prison of Kaal Brahma.
To know, download and read "Hindu Saheban Nahi Samjhe Geeta, Veda, Purana Book" from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj App.

Amanita Szarr, theory and history:
-We know that she was the niece of Cazador, summoned to him at 13 and forcibly turned into a vampire (vampire spawn? It’s never confirmed if she’s a true vampire or a spawn).
-It’s said her entire extended family was there, watching as he summoned and turned her. It’s mentioned somewhere that she lived out of the city in a country estate, raised by her servants. Her parentage is unknown, though clearly one of them was the sibling of Cazador, since Amanita is his niece by blood.
-She resisted at first, being locked away in the attic for a year before she eventually gave in to drinking human blood out of starvation, resulting in her killing and drinking a captive that was sent up there.
-This is when she rejected the Szarr name, and declared herself “Lady Incognita”, hiding her past likely out of guilt, and disgust for what they’d made her.
-She stayed in the attic by choice after this, and wrote her “little histories” as she called them.
-Amanita/Incognita was turned in 1477, the game takes place in 1492. It’s been 15 years since she was turned, though considering vampires don’t age—she’s still a 13 year old.
-She’s responsible for the books “Diseses of the Blood”, “The Tourmaline Depths”, and “Vampires before Vellioth”.
-These books are about diseases that vampires can get, ancient tunnels below the city, and a list of vampires that came before Vellioth (Cazador’s former Master).
-Bonus fun fact, there is in fact a random ring called “Tourmaline Ring” in BG3. The ring doesn’t have any function, and I was able to locate it for sale at a vendor in act 1, but it’s still an interesting coincidence.
-Her book “diseases of the blood” can be located in the House of Hope, though she’s very clearly not among the souls there, so it’s unknown how it arrived to such a place.
Potential Theories on what happened to her:
-In the ballroom of the palace, there are two doors. The door to the kitchen is open, and the ladder here leads to the attic where you can find the multiple hidden doors that contain the rooms Amanita stayed in (for at least most of her years), as well as the torture room she was turned(?) or at least kept in for awhile.
-The dining room is closed off. The only way to access this is to send a companion into the kitchen to hit a button. This button closes off the kitchen door, and opens the dining room.
-Considering there aren’t any bodies in the kitchen, and the only servants in the house are in other rooms nowhere near the ballroom, it’s clear that someone had to open/close the door.
-There are bodies in the dining room, all of which were guests summoned to the party that evening. One of them was “hired” to play music, but Cazador’s werewolves brutally murdered all the party guests.
-It was definitely not Cazador or the other spawn responsible for opening/closing doors. By the time you get to the palace, it’s ritual night—and all the other spawn are captive in the basement with Cazador, awaiting the final piece (Astarion) to complete it.
-It’s possible that Amanita is the one responsible for controlling the doors at the party, though unconfirmed if she killed anyone (it seems more likely the job of the werewolves).
-Could Amanita have been sent down to be the “host” of the party, since Cazador obviously wasn’t around to play fake-noble for the day? It’s unclear, but I do suspect she (might) have been connected.
-In the dining room you can move the fancy chest to find a hatch to another part of the basement. Noticeable here is that Astarion doesn’t have any voice lines about this as he does the other one, though it’s safe to assume he also doesn’t know this existed (and when were the Spawn ever allowed in the dining room anyway?)
-The basement here leads to a very famously broken puzzle, that no one has solved (supposedly support says it’s broken, hoping it’s fixed one day soon).
-The key to this hatch is found in the attic, so it’s safe to assume Amanita was connected to this too? However without confirmation, it’s hard to say for sure. And would you really go through a puzzle that hard just to find her corpse if she was dead? Doubtful, in my opinion.
-It doesn’t seem that she’s one of the spawn connected to the ritual. She never mentions any of it in her writings, and some of her earlier attic notes very clearly detest Cazador, so she’s not holding back her emotions/thoughts at all.
-She was also allowed, and given human blood. None of the seven original spawn were fed human blood, and none of the seven thousand spawn were fed at all. She was likely only given this treatment because she was his niece.
-I don’t believe she escaped the palace in general, even with her book in the House of Hope. I feel like Raphael would’ve said something about knowing a Szarr, or we would’ve found more than a book tossed in a pile.
-Talks of escape were usually noted in the palace, with Leon (one of the spawn) having been plotting in a journal to have his daughter escape, but she was inevitably killed before this could happen.
-Amanita never discusses leaving. She seems like she feels as though she can’t be normal ever again with what was done to her, and chooses to stay there so she doesn’t have to face the world.
-I believe (perhaps in delusion) that Amanita is still alive. Perhaps she’s hidden away in the basement. Perhaps she’s hiding in an unknown part of the castle, truly we don’t know—but I do believe she’s alive.
-Side Note: It was a theory that she could’ve been turned into a scroll, as there’s a scroll in the palace that mentions “for my sins, I’m ink on this page until you free me”, however it’s not signed. Amanita/Incognita was very clear on signing her work, and the scroll isn’t anything you can use/interact with, so this theory is largely since debunked.
-Feel free to add onto this if I’m missing anything! Amanita is one of my favorite unknown characters, and I really want to know more about her!!! :)

I am choosing to believe that Lady Incognita/Amanita Szarr:
Is a True Vampire (I believe this is connected to the "Family Rites" she refused to participate in)
Made her Uncle's life HELL while she lived with him
Made a deal with Raphael to force him to help her escape (this is why neither her, nor her body are in the house. no idea what he wanted from HER but that would explain why her book is in the House of Hope. Perhaps it was connected to the blood illnesses, as that's what her book is about?)
Is still alive and out there, living her best life as an immortal 13 year old.
Is a sarcastic and petty little shit
Is a TOUCH insane if she abstains too long from human blood
When she MUST hunt for humans, she prefers the "vulnerable child" ploy, and prefers creepy older men who are a little too friendly with her
Tries to be good, but it's not really in her nature. She settles for Neutral
Killed the others in her family, but was unable to kill Cazador for Reasons
Is Cazador's next of kin, thereby inheriting the house after his death
Makes a special trip to Baldur's Gate after learning of his death SPECIFICALLY to burn the mansion down and leave (yes she still attempts this if Astarion ascends lmao)
Would be very grateful to Astarion if he killed Cazador and stayed a Spawn (perhaps willing to make him a True Vampire if asked) but is extremely jealous and bitter if he ascended

For a long time I wanted to write some kind of fluff with Lariel (@the-raging-tempest 's oc) and Andrine, and finally it's about time!
I love playing inside Lariel's head because her mind reminds my own. And I love whimsical characters who do spacing out for a living. Thank you, Dolly!
CW: Bisexual Awakening
Summertime was about to end. It was not necessary to check out a calendar; Lariel could feel it with her eyes closed. The warmth breeze was starting to bring storms at dusk, and frogs sung happier around midnight.
She would be singing along if not for the strange feeling choking around her pale neck.
The last weeks were memorable. The Kingdom of Solovey indeed had fairytale vibes, with its orchards, diverse people and legendary tales. The Knight Commander had entrusted her to go there and get a complete report about their local ally, the queen Andrine. And all the years studying about court etiquette hadn't prepared the young emissary for such a heartwarming reception.
“Let me guess! Lariel Aldolnel, am I right? I was waiting for you. Welcome to our country!”
They all were kind. The queen's family at least. Her whimsical aunts cheered Lariel up every day, especially Amanita, the gnome one. Her mother seemed distant at first sight, but as the time went by, Lariel learned they both were very alike. And also, there was Fionnirel, member of the House Kaellin, though he renounced his titles because of his wife and daughter.
But like everything in life, that also would end. She was done with her duties and should head back to Drezen. Lariel should have bid her farewells two days ago, but asked the Knight Commander for a little while. She was packing her luggages, although her scattered belongings said otherwise.
Lariel leaned against the balustrade, watching the sunset. Some courtiers were walking in the royal gardens, pacing before the dusk rain could come down. A bucolic scenario she would like to take with her memories.
A melodic laughter called for her attention, making her heart skip a beat. Andrine was around, right there, talking to some of her companions. Lariel didn’t know why she felt so flushed and neither because her eyes sought for the queen's figure so eagerly. But for her surprise — or should it be a shock? —, Andrine was looking in her direction too. Just for a second, but under that golden gaze it seemed an eternity.
Lariel pursued her rosy lips and turned away. How embarrassing. The queen could think she was staring at her all that time like a maniac. Or worse!
Suddenly she shook her head. No, it was just babbling of her fears. The queen was kind, gentle and took care of her since the moment Lariel landed there. Even when she had fainted in the ball, and woke up surrounded by the castle's servants and the sovereign herself applying cold water on her forehead and wrists.
“Poor thing, it must be the weather. Drezen is much colder, you should not be used to the Stolen Lands’.”
Lariel didn’t remember what she said, but could recall Andrine opening a smile and giggling. She said reassurance words to her and, without second thoughts, kissed the back of her hand before leaving the room.
Sometimes Lariel caught herself caressing the kissed hand, like she was touched by a supernatural force. Like that act had sealed something magical inside her. And since then, every time Andrine met her around, she felt fire butterflies in her stomach.
But who was she but a foreigner courtier, living inside those strange walls for a while? As she left Solovey, Lariel was aware that probably the queen would forget her. And there was something inside her fighting senselessly against that fate, though it seemed the opposite.
The sorceress sighed heavily. May she not be forgotten as the softness left on the back of her hand.

most recent story development in my brain: ive decided to actually seperate taffy and coco during the timeskip
initially i had it that taffy sticks with coco because he has nowhere to go and they eventually get together over the timeskip. the new version is that he runs away and disappears right before mochi leaves
in my head i see him as the type to run away after what mochi and coco do for him-- after coco put in so much effort and time advocating for him because she saw that there were traces of a good person under his antagonistic nature, and after mochi beat his ass for the final time and finally cleared his curse, he doesnt know what to do with himself.
the rest of the guild at that point (mochi included) has an attitude of "We know why you were the way you were. Now that there's no reason for you to hate us, you're free to go where you want. You can even stay with us." and this sentiment eats him alive. the guilt he feels is insane. the fact that he spent months (years?) trying to ruin mochi, brewing in bitterness and rage and all of a sudden all of that is gone and replaced with forgiveness and warmth is unbearable and he cant stand it, so he leaves.
this is all coupled with his feelings for coco and the attitude on his end of "I don't deserve this. I don't deserve her. All I can do is bring them down. All I can do is bring her down. I have no right to stay here. I have no right to want to stay here."
so theres a pivotal scene in my head where he has all these thoughts, standing right outside the side door to mochis house hearing them all chattering inside, and has a long moment of hesitation before going inside. in the OLD version coco opens the door before he can make up his mind and forces him inside with the rest of them, but in the NEW version i think its much more taffy-like if hes gone by the time she notices and gets to the door
(tldr timeline: mochi removes his curse -> he disappears -> he only appears for the last amanita fight because really thats HIS fight as much as it is mochis -> he leaves again RIGHT after. i imagine coco tried to stop him or say goodbye but this man is notoriously good at escaping quickly)
and so timeskip-wise coco attends university on her own. she keeps in touch with oscar and lime (more oscar than lime) and while she never directly set out to look for taffy, there was always that desire to look for him in a crowd or something, maybe hoping to run into him at random or that he would show up out of nowhere like he did the first time.
I'm not totally sure what he does during the timeskip then. something far away from coco and the guild, but somewhere close to the ocean because he could never find it in him to stray too far from it for too long. maybe lost his touch with water magic a bit because he was too afraid and guilt-ridden to use it. never really stopped thinking about coco but couldnt muster up the courage to go find her again. for YEARS hes convinced that she doesnt want to see him and he wouldnt do anything to make her life better. hes done too much to all of them for them to ever accept him, he thinks.
until one day coco just. shows up. after tracking him down (with mochi and sulluvans help). sitting on a barrel at the docks he works at in some city somewhere, eating some cotton candy she bought at the docks like "Heyo! Mochi needs another guild member, and you kinda owe us one, soooo..."
