most recent story development in my brain: ive decided to actually seperate taffy and coco during the timeskip
initially i had it that taffy sticks with coco because he has nowhere to go and they eventually get together over the timeskip. the new version is that he runs away and disappears right before mochi leaves
in my head i see him as the type to run away after what mochi and coco do for him-- after coco put in so much effort and time advocating for him because she saw that there were traces of a good person under his antagonistic nature, and after mochi beat his ass for the final time and finally cleared his curse, he doesnt know what to do with himself.
the rest of the guild at that point (mochi included) has an attitude of "We know why you were the way you were. Now that there's no reason for you to hate us, you're free to go where you want. You can even stay with us." and this sentiment eats him alive. the guilt he feels is insane. the fact that he spent months (years?) trying to ruin mochi, brewing in bitterness and rage and all of a sudden all of that is gone and replaced with forgiveness and warmth is unbearable and he cant stand it, so he leaves.
this is all coupled with his feelings for coco and the attitude on his end of "I don't deserve this. I don't deserve her. All I can do is bring them down. All I can do is bring her down. I have no right to stay here. I have no right to want to stay here."
so theres a pivotal scene in my head where he has all these thoughts, standing right outside the side door to mochis house hearing them all chattering inside, and has a long moment of hesitation before going inside. in the OLD version coco opens the door before he can make up his mind and forces him inside with the rest of them, but in the NEW version i think its much more taffy-like if hes gone by the time she notices and gets to the door
(tldr timeline: mochi removes his curse -> he disappears -> he only appears for the last amanita fight because really thats HIS fight as much as it is mochis -> he leaves again RIGHT after. i imagine coco tried to stop him or say goodbye but this man is notoriously good at escaping quickly)
and so timeskip-wise coco attends university on her own. she keeps in touch with oscar and lime (more oscar than lime) and while she never directly set out to look for taffy, there was always that desire to look for him in a crowd or something, maybe hoping to run into him at random or that he would show up out of nowhere like he did the first time.
I'm not totally sure what he does during the timeskip then. something far away from coco and the guild, but somewhere close to the ocean because he could never find it in him to stray too far from it for too long. maybe lost his touch with water magic a bit because he was too afraid and guilt-ridden to use it. never really stopped thinking about coco but couldnt muster up the courage to go find her again. for YEARS hes convinced that she doesnt want to see him and he wouldnt do anything to make her life better. hes done too much to all of them for them to ever accept him, he thinks.
until one day coco just. shows up. after tracking him down (with mochi and sulluvans help). sitting on a barrel at the docks he works at in some city somewhere, eating some cotton candy she bought at the docks like "Heyo! Mochi needs another guild member, and you kinda owe us one, soooo..."

BACK AGAIN with more "Light on you" stuff! I really can't let go of this passage, haha. And I have A LOT MORE TO SAY so Let's go! (LONG post ahead)
This post will contain:
my own attachment and what I love in this scene
what lead me to depict them like this
a personal translation of the passage in the book
But to begin with, a little something about storytelling. In order to help writers, some "storytelling rules" have been set up and theorised about. Those rules are, of course, meant to be broken, and one does not need to follow them in order to write a good story; but during the storytelling course I followed, a few of those rules have stuck with me, especially this one:
The main character, the hero of the story, will be the one to shine or to "save the day" in the end.
Again--does this rule need to be respected for a good story? Not necessarily, but when struggling with how to manage an ending or a main character, it can be helpful.
Anyway. For me, this scene, the "there's light on you" scene, kind of is that scene--that one scene where ZZS is the main character, is the hero. TYK has an interesting story structure, where if you go by the book of typical wuxia stories, ZCL would be the main character; and if you look at whom goes through the biggest internal journey throughout the story, it would be WKX. ZZS's own story technically spans across both QY and TYK, which makes TYK a bit more about WKX's journey than ZZS'.
But that very scene is not only ZZS saving WKX, but also ZZS reaching the conclusion of his own journey. By the end of QY, ZZS didn't go and meet with Jiuxiao. He deliberately looked the other way, too scared to go check on him, too superstitious; and in the end, Jiuxiao died. TYK puts ZZS in a similar position: someone he loves is away, and the choice to go reach them is in his hands. He decided to respect WKX's wish to go and fight his own battle alone, yet he ultimately went against it, changed and moved on from who he was in QY, to go and fight by WKX's side.
It's no surprise that I'm very into ZZS, and this image of him bathed in light, beating the scorpion to his own game and "taking back" this main character spot... It makes me go insane. Not to mention all the incredible quotes of this passage. "His person"? "There's light on you"? Come on!! I'm also. Obsessed with how and what WKX saw. What he must have felt, as he was ready to die, when he saw his person, his husband, dashingly get rid of all the enemies, almost at the peak of his power, come and "collect his corpse"--save him? Just!! Imagine!!! Imagine being WKX and this is how it ends!!! You're the GVM, you've had the life you've had, you finally meet someone that you truly love, the guy's about to die, then maybe not, AND THEN HE COMES TO SAVE YOUR LIFE AGHHHH 😭😭😭 Sorry, I REALLY like this. REALLY.
-------
cough--So, about their expressions and what I wanted to represent. For ZZS, to me... it was a mix of closure, fondness, and satisfaction. I think that ZZS had a "good time", going back to who he was before: tailing the scorpions, going undercover, ambushing from the shadows--not to mention slowly retrieving his full power. I think that this ZZS feels quite good, especially now that he got the confirmation that WKX is still alive. Then, the feeling of having done "the right thing". He's... beyond regret, now. He was able to follow his heart, quite literally, and that also feels good. The fondness is of course because he's looking at WKX. What else is he supposed to feel?? They haven't met for 3 months! I think that he's worried, but they trust each other. He trusts that WKX will survive this, that he'll be strong, that he won't die on him. So yeah. I wanted this ZZS confident--in himself, in WKX, in the future. WKX is a bit dazed, there. Probably in pain, and a bit stunned as he wasn't expecting it. But he's also... a bit enthralled; by this light, by how impressive and efficient his husband is, and, of course, the fact that ZZS came for him. The person he loves, the person whose life matters more than everything else now that WKX has reached his goal, came for him, came to save him. This stupid guy came for him instead of going to the mountain to prepare on his own. Yet another blatant show of them being so alike, isn't it? I guess... it's just a lot of love, a bit of pride, the faintest hint of him being amused, even--and maybe relief, as well. He won't die, and ZZS is there, and he's strong, and again, like for ZZS, there's a future--which he never allowed himself to properly consider, I believe. -------- Finally, a personal retranslation of that scene. I did it not because I thought it really needed it but because the only existing TL of this part of the book doesn't allow for reposting and I figured I may as well try. So for anyone who doesn't remember the passage or hasn't read the book/reached this chapter, here it is!
The Scorpion raised his hand and was immediately handed a weapon. His smile vanished as he looked at Wen Kexing leaning against the tree, already quite injured. He said: “For someone like the Ghost Lord, I must act in person—it would be quite disrespectful to get someone else to do the job.”
As he spoke, he raised his hook across his chest and approached slowly. He continued in a low voice: “I invite the Ghost Lord to walk ahead on the Yellow Spring road.”
He then fell silent, raising the hook higher and higher. Wen Kexing opened his eyes, quietly looking at him, his pitch-black irises like two dark pools of murky water, calm as if he wasn’t the one about to die.
The Scorpion suddenly felt a violent gush of wind surging from the side, charged with killing intent—electrified by an aura of death, goosebumps rising on his skin, he shouted as he lifted his hook in the air and promptly sliced through—the assailant was wearing the black robes of the scorpions, but didn’t wear a mask, had a soft blade in hand—he swiftly avoided the hook; a sudden, sharp pain made the Scorpion cry out as the soft blade wrapped around his arm which, at once, was ripped from his body and fell to the ground.
The several scorpions standing behind their leader immediately assumed a tactical formation—but then, a dashing figure, a metallic chime, and they all stood, dazzled; one swift move for it to be settled: one man standing, several men on the ground. Whether they were dead or alive, all of those who layed still were missing the arm holding their weapon.
Wen Kexing recognised the man. He abruptly sighed, and said in a low voice: “Idiot, what are you doing here?”
Zhou Zishu threw him a side glance and sneered: “I came to collect your corpse, madman.”
The effects of the Nails of seven apertures and three autumns were suppressed by the medicine Da Wu had given Zhou Zishu, and at that moment his gong fu had been restored to nine parts of its peak capacity. If the Scorpion already wasn’t on par should they have a fair fight, then he didn’t stand a chance when ambushed from the shadows.
Zhou Zishu turned to the Scorpion, the pointed end of Baiyi slightly angled down, and he sharply asked: “You dare threaten my person?”
A bit stunned, Wen Kexing watched the back of the man standing in front of him, and slight shivers started coursing through his fingers resting on the ground.
The Scorpion’s face was deathly pale, yet he still managed to smile and painfully say: “Ah… Brother Zhou, my apologies, I didn’t expect you to honour us with your presence.”
He briefly gauged the two men, waving his remaining hand: “Great master, we won’t counter any further. We bid you farewell———retreat!”
The few scorpions that were still alive crawled and scrambled to their feet and hurriedly followed the Scorpion as he withdrew. Zhou Zishu didn’t try to follow and just turned around to face and look at Wen Kexing.
Wen Kexing’s eyes shone brightly, but he simply chuckled: “You should be more careful for…”
Before he could finish, Zhou Zishu’s eyes focused, he swiftly twirled, the blade that was in his hand suddenly split through the air in a beautiful arch—a tinkling sound as it hit something, and soon enough a muffled groan rose from the woods behind them. Zhou Zishu shook his head and sighed: “Using the same move against the same person twice—are all these scorpions merely one trick ponies? And they dare claim to be on par with Siji manor?”
Wen Kexing watched him, slightly dazed. His mouth curved into a smile as he suddenly extended his hand in the air, trying to catch something.
Zhou Zishu frowned and asked: “What are you doing?”
Wen Kexing said softly: “There’s light… on your body. I’m catching it to see…”
Thanks for reading!

Our Little Secret (Part 16)
Pairing: Dark! Cillian Murphy x Virgin! Reader
Warning: Infidelity, Brief Mention of Stillbirth
You glanced at Cillian who was staring at his phone incredulously, his face crinkling in disbelief, seeing that someone had snapped a photo of you, together, holding hands, before posting it on Twitter.
The tweet went viral in the span of minutes and sparked rumors about your relationship and Cillian knew that this would make things worse again for him when it came to gaining custody rights for Max.
His eyes scanned the screen feverishly, desperation welling up inside him. How could this happen? Who could have taken such a compromising photograph? The questions swirled in his mind, fueling his frustration and anger.
"What's wrong?" you asked anxiously, your eyes darting between Cillian and his phone. "Is everything ok?"
Cillian took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I've just received a message with a photo of us," he revealed haltingly, his voice strained.
"Someone took a picture of us, holding hands, and posted it online. It's gone viral," he uttered disbelievingly, a sense of dread creeping over him.
You peered at the screen, astonishment clouding your features. Your heart pounded against your chest in a frenzied rhythm, panic surging through your veins.
"This looks bad," you managed to utter, struggling to maintain composure. Cillian swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing visibly.
"Danielle knows me too well," he rasped throatily, his voice betraying an edge of bitterness. "She will use this against me," he groaned miserably, his hands balling into tight fists.
"I can only imagine what kind of twisted spin she could put on this. She will twist the narrative to fit her own agenda," he lamented, his voice quivering with fear.
"Cillian, listen to me," you interjected, grasping his trembling hands. "I will give evidence about the assault and whoever overseas the case will be able to see that she has anger issues, which is something that is not good for a child to be around," you reasoned calmly, attempting to ease his mounting anxiety.
"I know," Cillian sighed, lifting his head. "But she will use this photo, and twist it around to prove that, clearly, I am lacking some morals. She will argue that I'm irresponsible and unreliable," he feared, his voice trailing off.
"Cillian," you began, squeezing his hands reassuringly. "Look at me," you commanded gently, and he did, his gaze locking onto yours. You inhaled deeply, steadying yourself.
"You are none of those things, not when it comes to Max anyway and that is all that matters," you assured him soothingly, your voice softening.
"Now, you should probably take me home. I have to work tomorrow," you proposed cheerfully, reaching for your purse.
"I don't like you staying in this area by yourself. It makes me nervous," Cillian confessed hesitantly, his blue eyes twinkling with concern.
"I will be fine," you reassured him, brushing aside his worries. "I am a big girl, remember?" you teased playfully, flashing him a bright smile.
"I know, but I...," he began softly, his voice cracking slightly. "Maybe you could stay with me tonight and then, tomorrow, we will find you a place to move into right away. Somewhere quiet and safe," Cillian proposed tentatively, his gaze never leaving yours.
"I don't know, Cillian," you replied apprehensively, shifting uncomfortably in your seat. "It doesn't seem right, considering the circumstances," you added, voicing your concerns.
"I am not hitting on you, Y/N. I have a few spare rooms, and I would feel much better knowing that you are safe," Cillian persisted, his voice betraying a hint of vulnerability and you paused, weighing his request carefully.
"I...," you stammered, your thoughts racing furiously. "Well, alright," you conceded, biting your lip nervously. "I guess I could stay with you for one night," you agreed, a hint of hesitation tainting your voice.
"Great," Cillian breathed in relief, his shoulders relaxing visibly and, with that, you went back to your apartment so that you could grab some clothes and jump into Cillian's car.
The ride was silent, both of you lost in your thoughts, grappling with the whirlwind of emotions churning within you.
As you arrived at Cillian's townhouse, located in a secluded cul-de-sac, he halted his car in front of the gate.
"My God, Cillian, this is beautiful," you gasped, gazing at the traditional style home with all its charm.
"It's a nice and perfectly safe area and, maybe, I can get you a house not far from here," Cillian said proudly, opening the door and welcoming you inside.
The house was spacious and elegant, decorated tastefully with vintage furniture and modern art pieces adorning the walls. An open concept allowed natural light to filter through large windows, illuminating the polished hardwood floors.
"The upstairs rooms have just been furnished and there's also a guest bedroom downstairs," Cillian informed you, pointing out the available spaces. "So, pick whichever one you prefer for tonight," he suggested casually, his blue eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Whichever one is fine. I am not fussed," you replied, adjusting your grip on your overnight bag.
"Okay. Upstairs then," Cillian chimed, leading you upstairs to the room located next to his.
He opened the door and motioned for you to enter. The room was pristine, with a queen-sized bed, built-in closet, and en suite bathroom. You glanced around in awe, marveling at the sheer opulence of the space.
"You can leave your bags here," Cillian instructed, gesturing towards the empty dresser. "Make yourself comfortable," he added warmly, and you nodded, setting down your belongings and taking a moment to appreciate the luxurious surroundings.
"Thank you, Cillian," you murmured, grateful for his hospitality before asking him whether you could have a bath, seeing that it had been a while since you lived in a place that had one.
"Of course, go ahead," Cillian responded enthusiastically, handing you a fluffy white towel and leading you to the master bathroom.
Once inside, you were stunned by the elegance of the marble countertops, intricate tilework, and gleaming fixtures. You wasted no time stripping off your clothes and sinking into the tub, allowing the warm water to envelop you, releasing the tension from your muscles.
You hummed softly to yourself, basking in the warmth and solitude. Relaxation washed over you, as you allowed your mind to wander freely with fantasies involving Cillian, which were fantasies that, until now, you had suppressed after he did not contact you again for weeks on end.
You imagined him entering the bathroom, removing his clothing seductively, and joining you in the tub. You pictured his body pressing against yours, his hands roaming over your curves. The image intensified until you felt his lips tracing kisses down your neck, sending shivers down your spine.
As your breathing quickened, the steam in the bathroom thickened, creating a hazy atmosphere that enhanced your arousal. You leaned back in the tub, allowing the warm water to caress your skin, preparing yourself for the intimate encounter you craved.
Your mind drifted to Cillian, imagining him standing naked before you, his erection hard and ready. You fantasized about him entering you, filling you with passion and desire. The thought of his cock inside you forced a moan past your lips, arousing you even further but then, you left it at that and pushed away those intrusive thoughts.
"Are you alright in there?" Cillian called out, his voice echoing through the dimly lit bathroom. "Do you need anything?" he added solicitously, his concern evident in every syllable.
You cleared your throat, swallowing the lump of lust lodged in your throat. "I think I might need a toothbrush. I forgot mine," you croaked, your voice cracking slightly. "Do you have a spare one?" you requested awkwardly, your cheeks flushing hot with embarrassment.
"Sure," Cillian replied eagerly, his footsteps retreating swiftly.
Moments later, he returned, clutching a toothbrush and toothpaste. He handed them to you, his fingers lingering lightly on your wrist as you covered yourself with a towel. You looked at him, your gaze locking onto his mesmerizing azure eyes.
"Thanks," you replied gratefully, accepting the items with a shy smile. "I'll be out shortly," you promised.
"Take your time," Cillian encouraged softly, turning to exit the room.
"I'll wait for you in the living room," he added tenderly, closing the door behind him.
When you arrived in the loungeroom, you found Cillian sitting on the couch, engrossed in his smartphone. He glanced up, startled, upon hearing the door creak open.
"Hey," he greeted you warmly, setting down his phone. "Did you enjoy your bath?" he asked, scanning you from head to toe, appraising your appearance as you wore a dark t-shirt and some rather tight shorts.
"Yeah, it was great," you replied, your voice low and sultry. "Thank you for letting me stay here," you added sincerely, approaching the couch and settling beside him.
"Of course," Cillian replied graciously, offering you a warm smile. "Would you like to watch a movie?" he suggested, eager to entertain you.
"A movie sounds wonderful," you mused, considering the possibility of spending the evening snuggled up with Cillian. "But I'm quite tired though," you admitted sheepishly, running your fingers through your hair.
"I completely understand," Cillian sympathized. "You should get some rest then," he urged, his voice gentle and caring before seeing you to the stairs, leading upstairs.
"Goodnight," he bid you farewell, his eyes brimming with affection. "Wake me if you need anything," he told you kindly, his handsome face creasing into a gentle smile.
After bidding Cillian a goodnight, you walked gingerly across the plush carpeting, making your way to the guest bedroom. You switched on the lamp, casting a dim glow over the room. As you slipped under the covers, you felt a strange mixture of feelings coursing through you. Excitement, apprehension, and longing intertwined, forming a potent cocktail of emotion. You desperately wanted to believe that fate had brought you together once more, but the reality of your situation loomed ominously.
You lay awake in the darkness, the silence broken only by the faint ticking of the antique clock on the wall. Memories of Cillian flooded your mind, stirring feelings of guilt and shame. How could you allow yourself to fall for him so easily just months earlier, you wondered.
Despite your attempts to clear your mind, sleep eluded you while, at a later time, after he went to bed, Cillian had some intrusive thoughts of his own.
Lying in his bed, he couldn't shake the vivid images of you submerged in the bathtub, your body enticingly displayed for his perusal. The image of your naked form caused his heart to race, and his blood to surge through his veins, igniting a raging inferno of lust within him which, for him too, was a feeling he had suppressed for weeks.
His hand instinctively drifted downward, his fingers brushing against the stiffening bulge in his briefs.
"Fuck," he whispered under his breath, his cock throbbing painfully while his mind was fueled with guilt. He was still attracted to you but knew that he should not be thinking of you in this way.
"Shit," he muttered under his breath, his fist clenching tightly as he fought to regain control of his desires.
With a heavy sigh, he rolled onto his side, pulling the sheets over his head in an attempt to block out the overwhelming sensations threatening to consume him.
Eventually, sleep evaded him, taunting him with visions of you lying naked in his bed, your lips pressed against his, your scent intoxicating his senses.
He tossed and turned, unable to extinguish the flames that raged within him.
Then, images of the two of you in the bathroom, soap scud sliding over your luscious flesh, infiltrated his dreams. Your sweet scent lingered in his nostrils, a tantalizing tease that threatened to unravel his resolve. His pulse surged, his swollen member throbbing with an insatiable hunger for release. With a guttural growl, he reached for the bedside table and retrieved his phone from within its depths, searching for the explicit photos he had taken of you in the past.
He scrolled through hundreds of pictures, his index finger hovering over the screen. Finally, he stumbled upon a photo of you. It was a candid shot of you, captured during one of your many encounters.
He enlarged the image, scrutinizing every detail in the photograph. Your lips were slightly parted, revealing the tip of your tongue nestled between teeth. Your pupils dilated with pleasure and the mere sight of you sent a jolt of electricity coursing through his veins, and his erection grew harder and more demanding.
He stared intently at the image, his thumb rubbing against the glass surface, tracing imaginary lines along your bare skin. He visualized himself kneeling before you, his face buried between your thighs, greedily devouring your wetness.
"God, I want you," he mumbled under his breath, his hand slipping into his pants and gripping his erection firmly, moving his hand up and down his rigid shaft.
His breaths became ragged, his heartbeat pounding in his ears to the rhythm of his strokes. He fantasized about you, envisioning the soft curves of your body, the taste of your skin, and the sweet scent of your arousal.
"Ah, fuck," he groaned, his grip tightening around his rigid shaft. "I need you so fucking bad," he whimpered, his fingers digging into his palm.
He was close to the brink, the heat building in his body, his balls tightening, and his entire body shaking with anticipation.
"Oh, yes," he cried out, his voice breaking, as he neared the precipice.
He felt the pressure building, his muscles contracting, and his heart pounding in his chest.
A wave of ecstasy swept over him, transcending his physical pain, as he spilled his seed onto his stomach, his cum spurting forth in a glorious explosion of pure satisfaction.
He moaned loudly, his cries echoing through the silent house as he collapsed onto the damp sheets, panting heavily.
His heart rate gradually slowed, replaced by an overwhelming sense of regret permeating his consciousness.
He couldn't afford to lose focus, especially now, when he needed to remain grounded and composed.
"What the hell am I doing?" he berated himself, a wave of self-loathing crashing over him.
He knew that none of this could be and even the arrangements made with you had to remain a secret for now.
If anyone discovered about it, it would be bad for his career and, possibly, destroy any chances of getting custody of Max. So, he must tread carefully.
He turned off his phone, the glow of the screen fading into darkness when, suddenly, there was a knock on his door. His heart skipped a beat, his pulse racing with anticipation, as he scrambled to pull the sheets over his cum-covered belly.
"May I come in?" you called out, your voice echoing through the dimly lit hallway.
"Come in," Cillian responded hesitantly, his hands trembling as he hastily wiped his semen from his abdomen.
You cautiously entered the room, a perplexed expression covering your face. "Cillian, are you okay?" you asked worriedly, your brow furrowing with concern.
"Yeah, sure, everything's fine," Cillian lied unconvincingly, attempting to feign nonchalance.
"I, uhm, I can't sleep," you admitted, biting your lower lip nervously. "Can we talk for a bit?" you ventured, your voice quavering slightly.
"Of course," Cillian responded, his tone laced with concern. "Just let me throw on something to wear," he added, quickly disappearing behind the door so that you could get only just a mere glimpse of his semi naked body.
"Alright," you acquiesced, perching yourself on the edge of the bed, your knees drawn up to your chest, seeking comfort in the familiar position.
Cillian emerged a few moments later, wearing a pair of grey sweatpants and t-shirt, before turning on the bedside lamp.
"You look flushed," you observed perceptively, raising an eyebrow curiously. "Are you feeling okay?" you asked, your voice filled with genuine concern.
"Yes, I'm fine," Cillian assured you, his voice devoid of conviction. "Why don't you tell me why you can't sleep?" he suggested tactfully, shifting the conversation onto safer ground.
"I was thinking about our situation," you confessed quietly, averting your gaze toward the window. "And how we got ourselves into this mess," you added, your voice trailing off. "We never really talked about what happened between us," you pointed out, trying to make sense of the chaos that ensnared your lives.
"You mean the fact that I cheated on my wife with my brother's step-daughter?" Cillian stated bluntly, the words striking a nerve deep within you.
"Yes," you answered dejectedly, your voice barely audible. "I was such a fool," you sighed mournfully, a tear trickling down your cheek.
"I was being naive, to be honest," you continued remorsefully, the weight of your mistakes bearing down on you. "I didn't realize how complicated our relationship would become," you confessed, tears streaming openly from your eyes.
Cillian studied you closely, his gaze penetrating your soul.
"If anyone was being a fool, then it would have been me, because I can't say that I wasn't aware of the consequences that may follow," he confessed, his voice wavering slightly.
"I should have stayed away from you," he sighed sorrowfully, his voice hoarse with emotion. "It was wrong of me to pursue this," he lamented, his guilt gnawing at his conscience.
"It was, but I could have said no," you replied, wiping away the tears staining your cheeks before asking Cillian whether he ever had feelings for you.
"I was attracted to you," Cillian replied cryptically, his voice strained. "But I didn't have romantic feelings, I am sorry," he apologized earnestly, his gaze falling to the floor.
"It's okay. I understand Cillian," you replied somberly, your voice cracking slightly. "You were married, and I was young and naïve," you lamented, your tears pooling on your cheeks. "So, I guess it was just sex then," you added, your voice thick with emotion.
"Yes, it was," Cillian confirmed, his voice laced with sadness. "But that doesn't change the fact that I care about you," he emphasized, his gaze locked onto yours.
"No, I get it Cillian. It's fine. I should go back to bed," you sniffled, wiping away the remnants of your tears. "I just needed to know," you explained gently, your voice wavering slightly before, slowly, but surely, you left the room.

i don’t care that the lakes is only now getting its recognition i just care that it’s about MERLIN and ARTHUR.
little teeny tiny analysis incoming:
“Is it romantic how all my elegies eulogize me
I’m not cut out for all these cynical clones
These hunters with cell phones”
First of all, this is set in Merlin’s POV. The first line talks about Merlin becoming a myth and how he’s praised as the most powerful wizard alive. He is a staple as the start of “magic” and “wizardry” after his legacy is passed on. The use of the term “romantic” seems sarcastic as if he’s saying “isn’t it romantic that after my kind was hunted down and killed for believing to be evil, now I’m the optimum of good? Shouldn’t i be over the moon from this appreciation?”
Moving on to the second and third verse, “cynical clones” and “hunters with cell phones” refers to modern time. These people have twisted Merlin’s story, didn’t get it right, missed out on details, and changed him. Because his history is not correct he feels uncomfortable but is also placed in a position where he cannot clarify or speak out on it because he’s supposed to be, well, dead. People are using his story for fame and no one is receiving the truth. It’s just been turned into a myth to be broken apart, analyzed, and criticized.
“Take me to the lakes where all the poets went to die
I don’t belong, and my beloved, neither do you
Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry
I’m setting off, but not without my muse”
(only doing the chorus once)
if the first line doesn’t speak for itself I don’t know what does. Merlin is a poet!! He is. A quick google search for the definition of poet reads: “a person possessing special powers of imagination or expression.” hello??? We all knew he was good with words whether it came from enchantments, comforting words to his friends, his followers, or when speaking about himself. “special powers”—he is magic. “imagination”—he creates, he is creation.
He is the original poet who went to the lakes, not necessarily to die, but the other half of his soul was taken from him there.
Now, Merlin of course believes Arthur was not meant to die. He doesn’t belong there. He belongs at Merlin’s side. The lakes = Avalon and Merlin did not ever want to go there in the situation that Arthur may die. The both of them weren’t meant to wait for their purpose to begin again at Avalon when “Camelot needed Arthur most.” They were supposed to stay together in the time of a human life span and their story was supposed to continue.
“Windermere peaks.” I’m not gonna dive too much into this so here’s one word: England
The last line is that Merlin could not have stayed at the lake forever. I mean he could’ve but, I don’t think he would. So he lives his life in the most physical sense he can. He does go to visit Avalon tho and his life, his soul, doesn’t restart until Arthur’s does. He carries Arthur with him everywhere at all times, and he doesn’t forget that as he leaves Avalon and he never forgets the reason why as he also goes BACK to Avalon. Also, Arthur being Merlin’s muse>>> I mean, the whole “my magic. i use it for you. it was supposed to be yours.” EVERYTHING Merlin did was for Arthur.
“What should be burrowed under my skin
In heart-stopping waves of hurt
I’ve come too far to watch some namedropping sleaze
Tell me what are my words worth”
The first two lines refer to his early life in Camelot. Moving there, making friends, growing in his magic, Arthur, trust, betrayal, his lessons. He thinks because so much time has passed (he’s immortal) he should at least be over it or it should stop hurting but it doesn’t. It stays with him. It’s a part of him and who he is.
Now for the next two lines. Although the past will linger in him, he does grow and become wiser over the years. He has so many experiences and has lived through so many lifetimes and is still finding the strength to continue. But he’s had to watch people get his life absolutely wrong, the narratives of his friends and enemies, his character, etc. I like to think Merlin dropped some real pieces of evidence of the truth in a manuscript or a symbol or anything but the ones who found it, abused it. Instead of appreciating art and life they looked for the income and how to profit off it.
“I want auroras and sad prose
I want to watch wisteria grow right over my bare feet
‘Cause I haven’t moved in years
And I want you right here”
Merlin finds memories in the hurt. He finds comfort in it. He wants to stay in the past because as much as it pains him, it was a time where he was the most happy.
Wisteria = a plant that can live for centuries (symbolism: resilience and longevity)
“help i’m still at the restaurant.” is Merlin. He has not moved on at all, that poor soul. He wants Arthur forever but also ALIVE and physically, mentally, emotionally with him.
“A red rose grew up out of ice frozen ground
With no one around to tweet it
While I bathe in cliffside pools
With my calamitous love and insurmountable grief”
Merlin has a shield around him. Actually, plural, shields. His pain, anger, and hurt made him become this shell. But the red rose, his love, it’s still there. Always there. His love for Arthur and his narrative is still ongoing and no one knows. It’s his to keep.
His “calamitous love” and insurmountable grief” although sounds horrid are both stemmed from the purest thing he has. His love. It’s so passionate because he feels and cares so much. So his love is used as a metaphor with cliffside pools and the water in it because it (his love) overflows and spills over (i think? do cliffside pools do that?)
OKAY I’M DONE. mostly cause im tired, it’s 3:26 am, and im fried. the keyboard has been smashed quite enough and this makes one lengthy tumblr post (i can write more). i don’t even know if most of it makes sense i just wanted to get it out there.
also don’t take this too literally of course there are a million interpretations to this song, i associate it far more than just an immortal warlock and a dead king, as well as my opinions. I just wanted to share a little bit of where my mind was going. just a little.
props to you if you read this, thank you, and thank you bbc merlin

Note: Barn Anon. I'm very new to this whole thing but it's gotten me all tangled up in a mess about it. This has been running through my head while I was at work. Im also stupid shy. I can't remember anything regarding life-spans but a part of me likes to imagine they're the equivalent of your dad finding an abandoned a tortoise as a kid that has since outlived him and is now going to outlive you too.
He's been around long before you were born. He had suddenly appeared with no hint of where he could've come from. Your great-grand parents had a heart attack when their daughter didn't come home at the usual time, only to find her playing with the lumbering giant metal-armoured being. your grandmother had named the giant Castle for his size. If he had a proper name, he never gave it.
There are pictures, black and white ones, of your grandmother growing up. in most of them, Castle was always somewhere in the background or even right beside her. then soon it would have less images of your grandmother with Castle and instead have your father and his siblings with Castle. then black and white pictures would change to coloured ones featuring you and your cousins, all with Castle.
It is odd. You flip through the old photo albums, nothing how Castle has gained scrapes on his armour over the years. yet apart from those cosmetic changes, he seems otherwise unchanged. Your father too had spoken of how Castle's strength and stamina never weakened over the years.
You had learned, when you left the small town and entered the big city, that Castle is a Space Marine. Though you are a little confused, most seem to state that Space Marines are typically social beings and prefer to be in groups. Why is Castle alone? Why seek out an ordinary human family for company instead of his own kind? Or maybe it was because he was alone that he decided to latch onto your grandmother all those years ago?
You hear the loud heavy footsteps on wooden floor and put the photo album back on the shelf. You had taken time off work to return to your small quiet hometown to tidy up your grandmother's house. Your grandmother had passed on a few weeks ago and according to her neighbours, Castle had been the one by her side till the end. You look out the window to see Castle. He is just as you remembered him all those years ago. Tall, mighty, silent and ever vigilant. He has been rather withdrawn ever since your grandmother passed, but as you watch your own daughter run up to the gentle giant, you feel the flicker of warmth and hope when he couches down to her level.
He comes and goes as he wishes, for days, weeks and once even months. However he always came back and maybe, just maybe, if you moved into your grandmother's house with your gaggle of kids... maybe he'll decide to stay. Noone in your family truly understands him, but he has always been a part of your family.
Fuckin hell Barn anon hardly anything I can add onto this
"Dinner!" You shout out into the gloom watching and looking around before you finally whistle out in the way your grandmother had taught you to call Castle. He could speak but Grandmother said that it took him awhile to learn English as what he spoke was like church Latin but nothing sounded like words you knew. She and Castle had made a language out of whistles and their own words. You soon hear your gaggle of kids as they are carried by Castle trudging out of the tree line at the edge of the property.
You remember the day you sat down with Castle and told him how you were going to move in. Out of all of her grandchildren it seems you were the only one Castle tolerated and well you were close enough to him always happy to see him. You told him that you were moving back into grandmother's home as it was left to your father and he in turn gave it to you.
He was allowed to come and go however he pleased as you knew he was always your grandmothers.
"Say Castle kids!" You say pulling out the polaroid camera as you went to go meet them in the summer evening air. Those days that feel like they are always endless where day slowly bleeds into night like a wound slowly losing blood.
"Castle!" The small chorus cries with big smiles on their faces as you take the picture and shake it.
You can't help but smile as you see the normally stoic Castle with one of his trademark contented smiles... a smile that reaches his eyes. A smile where he knows he is wanted and loved.

Idia with an s/o or crush who often fantasized about a romantic relationship but is very shy and bad at helping people due to self doubt pls?
Admiring from afar and behind a screen
Idia x reader
____
Thank you for sending us this ask! since it wasn't specified how you wanted it to be written, I went with something I was most comfortable with which was a bulleted scenario (is what you'd call it i think?) I hope that's okay
bonus eye drawing under the cut: (i made it myself btw :))
and if you so happen to also relate to this then yo same😔🤝
Tumblr media
Who would have thought that THE Idia shroud, a not so social introverted dorm head would have a secreted admirer, you.
Sad to say you weren't one to confront him about your feelings.
Shying away from other people because you're scared that your opinions might have a negative impact on them and how they see you.
Unlike Idia, you didn't hate people, but over time it just started to become difficult for you to communicate with others so you decided it was best to not engage in social conversations
So imagine your surprise when you first realized you had a crush on the blue flamed hair boy.
No this was bad! You already had a lot of self doubt to take care of and your problem with being shy around people, and now you just had to go and have a crush on someone now of all times!
You didn't know what attracted you to Idia
perhaps it was how you both were polar opposites but still shared the same problems in life
or how you admired him for being able to speak up for himself whenever needed to, despite his tendencies to shut himself in his room all day
Everytime (which isn't really often because of how he literally never leaves his room unless if it was for snacks or other important reasons) you'd see him sneaking up to a vending machine, you couldn't help but stare
How you wished to one day be able to walk up to that very same vending machine and maybe offer him a drink, your treat
but can only sigh as he's already gone, and you once again are left to just daydream about what a life by Idia's side could be like
You had already told your friends about your little predicament, and the best advice they we're able to give that worked well with you was to start of with something you were comfortable with
Online
The difference from talking to someone in person and online was that you had the option to take your time to type out a response before you hit send, and how if you ever made a mistake it wasn't too late to delete it
Sure you were still shy when talking through text, but it wasn't something so noticable with how they can't read your body language with just words on a screen.
It started out with a greeting and introduction, though you didn't use your real name and chose to go with the random account name you made up in a span of a few seconds
You mentioned one of his all time favorite anime shows and boom he's sending you text after text after text
He didn't know who you were, but by how you reply to his messages he could already tell what kind of person you were behind a screen, thanks to Idia's super duper amazing analyzation skills.
One reason why Idia stuck around to talk to you was because both of you can relate to each other
about your fears and problems, how you assume what people think about you, and how you find difficulty when talking in real life.
You were honest
In all Idia's life of living online he could tell when people were lying to him through text
He could see through all 'dem fake people (especially for those when he asks a question and the other person replies with something copy pasted off the internet, step away from the ctrl+c button👹)
Unlike them, despite not being physically able to see you, he could tell with his heart how you weren't trying to lie or hide anything from him (except your crush on him of course, nawh he gon be dense ti'll you decide fess up and confess to him in person)
Both of you were happy with the little chats you guys would have early in the morning and very late at night.
You slowly started to work up the courage to atleast be in the same room as Idia without fainting, and it was a huge success!
There were times thought where you being shy got the better of you
that one time where you coincidentally bumped into Idia when you turned a corner
He was still in a state of processing what happened when your face flared up and you just stood there staring at each other for a hot second
You were the first to snap out of a trance, quickly muttering out a jumbled up apology as you made a run for outside the school, but not before tripping and falling face first into a bush
"U-uhm are you—"
"N-no I'm fine, I'm fine! I-I'm just uh chilling is this very nice plump bush, yes! Very nice! I actually have somewhere important t-to be so, uhm, bye!
"..."
"Strange normie..."
It might take some time, and i mean A LOT of time, but with every small step you take
You just know your little fantasy will one day become a reality
Not today thought, you think as you have your face buried in your hands with the scene from before replaying in your mind
"H-hes going to think im such a total clutz now..."
but little did you know the boy was starting to catch feeling for you too

to be honest, the fact Kirishima is deaf in this one isn't supper plot relevant but it is there. @irrelevantbutembarrassing
Deaf!Kirishima x Fem!Reader
warnings: none!
Word count: 2,500 (about)
Summary: You feel like you can tell anything to your pen-pal, even if you don't really know anything about him. Naturally, he's the first person to come to mind when you have romantic troubles, what happens when it turns out he's the one causing your troubles?
Your heart fluttered with excitement as you practically ran to the library. You kept your pace just slow enough that you wouldn’t get yelled at by teachers but your excitement was obvious to everyone you passed. The UA library was extensive, full of books on every topic and spanning every genre, but that wasn’t why you were excited.
You breeze through the shelves your feet moving automatically to your destination. Hidden between Chemistry for Beginners volumes one and two there is a note. It’s addressed to “Library pen pal” and you have to suppress a squeal.
You sit right there on the floor between the shelves and open the envelope.
Dear pen pal,
How did you do on your midterms? What even were your midterms? I imagine our written exams were similar but what about your practical? We had to fight teachers… again. I swear we do the same thing every year you’d think I’d get better at it by now. I guess I just don’t have the head for creative solutions in the heat of battle, I guess that sort of stuff comes from experience rather than a classroom, I don’t even know how you could teach something like that in a classroom.
I’d love to see your plants, It sucks you couldn’t take the whole garden with you but I guess it makes sense for the dorms an all, I’m sure the potted plants you managed to smuggle in are lovely. My room is kind of boring honestly, I don’t know if there's a lot of me in there you know? I was focused on taking all my exercise equipment with me so all of “my stuff” is still with my parents.
As for your question from the last letter. Yes. I guess it would be okay if you asked for romantic advice, although I’ll warn you now I’ve had basically zero experience in that department so I don't know how much help I’ll really be but I’m always happy to help a friend!!
I’m happy the tests are over, for now, I missed you. I know we still wrote to each other but your notes were so short it was almost like you weren’t there at all, I look forward to your next LONG letter
With love,
-your library pen pal.
You smile to yourself as you read.
Two months ago, you’d check out one of the Chemistry textbooks, and without thinking, you wrote annotations directly onto the pages eventually your annotations turned into mindless scribbles about how much you hated this class. You’d returned the book without erasing your notes and immediately panicked. You’d tried to recheck the book out but it was loaned to someone else. When you did get the book back there was more than just your notes, the person who’d checked it out after you had added their own commentary, mostly agreeing with your more bitter comments. Impulsively, you responded to him too. Eventually, both of you agreed to switch to letters stuffed next to the book instead of in the book itself. Now every week, you wrote each other letters.
It was a strange relationship, you knew so much about him, but you were still fuzzy about some of the big details. You knew he was insecure about his quirk and he worked hard to compensate, but you didn’t know his name. You knew how stressed out he got trying to keep the peace with his friends, but you didn’t know what he looked like. You supposed it made sense in a way, it was easier to share things with strangers sometimes, and you certainly didn’t make the effort to figure out who he was, it almost felt like an invasion of privacy to try and figure out anything more than he told you.
You picked yourself up off the floor and went to one of the work tables and started on your reply.
Dear library pen pal,
Midterms were, fine I guess? No one tried to kill me which Is a lot more than I can say for the hero courses. I think I passed all my tests but that doesn’t mean I didn’t hate every second of it, not to mention the studying, if I never have to look at another study guide again it’ll be too soon. I think it would be better if so many people didn’t ask me to tutor them, honestly, I don’t know who started the rumor that I’m good at school but they better pray I never find them.
As for the Romantic situation I wanted help with, it’s fine if you can’t help you see I kind of have a crush on this guy from the hero course, I was wondering if you knew him, Erijou Kirishima?
You had to fight the urge to crumple up this letter and start a new draft. You felt like a middle schooler journaling about their crush, it was embarrassing to ask for help like this but at this point what other option did you have?
It was love at first sight for you. You’d been stuck at your locker pulling pitifully at the jammed door. It was hopeless of course Until Kirishima came up and politely asked if you’d needed help and when you said yes, yes you did need help, he popped the door like it was nothing, and you’d been crazy about him ever since.
You had been a little less respectful of Kirishima’s privacy than your pen pal’s. Everything you learned about him endeared him to you more. He was strong, physically but emotionally as well, he was kind and funny and always had a smile. He was Deaf, something you guessed not a lot of people knew about him as no one ever mentioned it when he was brought up in conversation. He seemed to be able to lipread well enough to get buy and the hearing aids he sometimes wore were hard to see under his long scruffy red hair.
As far as you knew he was single but as far as you knew, that could be on purpose, your newfound pen pal could be just the in you need. You were confident you could figure out the rest yourself if you just knew that he was single and open to dating someone like you.
I don’t want you to ask him out for me or anything, I was just wondering if you knew if he was single. And it should go without saying, that if you do agree to help me you’re swearing yourself to secrecy tell anyone about this letter and I will hurt you, I haven’t thought of a good threat yet and you better not make me come up with one!!
I missed you too, reading these letters is my favorite part of the week, and I’m glad to get back to the way things were. I want to hear about your whole week next time! Don’t you dare skip on the details just because you think they’re boring, I promise I want to hear about your high protein diet and your workout.
With love,
-Your library pen pal.
You tucked the note in an envelope of your own and hid it away where you had found your letter.
Kirishima read over your letter, once, twice, three times. He couldn’t help the big dumb grin that was spreading over his face. He had been so jealous when he read your last note and you admitted to having a crush on someone and pleaded for his help in asking them out.  He knew it was silly, he didn’t even know what you looked like, but you were so sweet and charming in your letters he couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if the two of you were more than pen pals- pen partners maybe. All that time he’d spent stressing over whether or not he should confess his feelings or just bite the bullet and help you be happy, and it turned out you liked him all along. It must be fate.
Now he just had to figure out how to respond. It would be simplest to just have you ask him out and to say yes to the first person who hit on him, but what if something went wrong and someone else just so happened to ask him out before you got the chance and he ended up dating the wrong person? Maybe he should tell you to confess in a unique way, so he’d know it was you, but knowing your personality he doubted he would do anything too extreme. Or he could just tell the truth and tell you his feelings and identity in the next letter he sent, but that would be missing out on a golden opportunity.
Dear Penpal,
I don’t know why you want to insist on hearing my workout regimen I know you don’t go to the gym and it can’t be that interesting to read, but attached I’ve included the full schedule for your reading enjoyment. I guess even that would be better than studying though, right?
As for the rest of my week, it was pretty hectic, Lots of training and makeup tests, and I didn’t do as “fine” on my midterms as you did, it’s hell but it’ll all be worth it when I get to be a hero one day! Although I still don’t get why I need so much math to save people from burning buildings. Although it would be just my luck to meet a villain who will only surrender if I can find the value of X as fx approaches three or whatever.
More interestingly, your little love life problem. What do you see in Kirishima? He’s pretty popular with girls and I don’t get it he seems pretty average to me. But luckily for you Kirishima definitely isn’t seeing anyone, if you’re cute he might just go out with you. You should confess soon, just be honest and speak from the heart.
I can’t wait to hear about the whole thing when you get around to confessing,
-your library pen pal.
Kirishima could hardly wait to hear back from you, he would tell you the truth when you confessed but for now, he would play it close to the vest and maybe he would get lucky and he would get to read why you liked him.
Dear library pen pal,
Obviously, I don’t care about the intricacies of your workout routine but if It’s something you care about and I care about you, it feels only natural to ask. Speaking of your routine, how do you have time to sleep? Studying, hero work, school, and working out three hours a day?? How do you do it all, I’m very impressed. Honestly, I should go to the gym more often, I mean the UA gym is right there, it feels like a waste not to use it. I don’t think I could go as often as you but maybe we’d still run into each other. ^^
Also, Of course, Kirishima is popular with girls! He’s hot and nice and funny what’s not to like! I can’t believe you think he’s average, If you can find someone more attractive than Him I’d love to see him. You should be nicer talking about him that’s my crush you’re talking about. It’s a relief to hear that he’s single, I’m still working up the courage and finding the right words but I do think I’ll ask him out soon,  and of course, I’ll update you on the whole thing in my next letter, good or bad.
My week was actually really exciting, I got permission to go home for the weekend, it was nice to be home for a little while and see my garden which is doing well! My strawberry plants have started growing, maybe I’ll figure out a way to leave you a package of fresh strawberries when they ripen. If you like strawberries, I guess I don’t what kind of foods you like. Tell me your favorite food and If it’s something I can grow I'll plant it for you.
Growing with love,
Your library pen pal.
Kirishima was tapping his foot impatiently. You wrote a letter to him every week, you had promised to update him in your next letter, your time was almost up and you hadn’t made a move yet.
“Can you calm down? What are you even freaking out about?” Bakugou snapped. Erijou didn’t answer him, he just shut off his hearing aids and kept scanning the area for anyone approaching. He was feeling a little hurt. You had said such sweet things about him in your letter, had you changed your mind?
There was a tap on his shoulder and Kirishima jumped he whirled around and there you were.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” you mouthed, and Kirishima realized he still had his aids off so he switched them on again
“Sorry one more time?” he said with a smile, and he watched as you melted a little.
“I uhm- I’m sorry I didn’t mean to scare you, I was wondering if we could talk really quick?” you asked. There was a curious of  “oooos” around the table and Kirishima shot them a glare, he had been waiting too long for this moment for his friends to ruin it.
“Sure,” He said, quickly standing up and leading you off somewhere a little more private. He was pretty sure he recognized you too, He couldn’t quite remember if he’d helped you open a locker or if he’d caught you from falling down a flight of stairs.
“I uhm, I just wanted to say that I really like you, I was wondering if we could maybe go out sometime?” your words came out in a rush, Kirishima might not have known what you were saying if he didn’t know what this was already.
“I know,” he said teasingly and pulled out the last letter you’d written him, he figured this was the best solution, either you’d recognize it and it would be the right person, or you wouldn’t and he could let you down gently.  Your face went pale.
“He-He showed you my letter?” you asked betrayal written across your face.
“No! It was- it was me you were talking to the whole time,” he interjected quickly.
“oh-Oh, that’s so embarrassing!” cried out and for a minute Kirishima was worried you would run away from him, Impulsive he reached out and grabbed you by your shoulders.
“Don’t be! Please I mean- I like you too, so there's no reason to be embarrassed right?” he reasoned.
“You like me too?” you asked, and Kirishima smiled, his heart racing a mile a minute
“Yeah, I really do.”

I respect and support your TW request and therefore: tw alcohol/drinking
Watching ep13 the moment I came back from party was certainly a decision. Was it good decision? Yes, tumblr didn't have time to spoil things for me. Was it bad decision? Yes, I forgot how taking shots and drinking redbull vodka turnes me into emotional mess and therefore I had the urge to cry constantly throughout the episode.
Sad meow-meow Vegas (affectionate) shot me right through the heart. Poor child Pete and his identity crisis and complete dissociation from humanity was a knife through my lungs. Pete knocking out our meow-meow (again, affectionate) and then desparately trying to escape knocked me out. And Pete deciding to lie to Porsche oh god… Our sweet child has been through a lot. The scenes in which we see them missing each other and then having brief reunite at the back of Yok's bandaged my wounds and made me feel all emotions known to human kind. I felt like I went through 25 divorces in span of 10 minutes. And finally, Vegas and Porsche (ah yes I got what I wanted during the Tawan era, I know it's not fully my deranged ship that sank before it sailed, but I am more than satisfied to see them work together and Porsche being like allow me to slap some sense in you) running away on the bike and Kinn and Pete running after them just made me so sad… KP are in a messy place because Porsche is going through a lot and VP are in a messy place as well because their relationship is scandalous because of minor/major family things and on top of that they are both trying to figure themselves out as individuals and as a couple, accept that what they feel is valid and solve childhood trauma at the same time. I just want to pat all of their heads and tell them it's going to be okay, they'll figure it all out.
Tumblr media
Lestat will now proceed to rest in a dark coffin until ep14.
REDBULL VODKA??? GWORL. I had to go to a party last night and act like a human being for like 5 hours straight so I feel your pain DEEPLY.
I’m not gonna lie, the Vegas and Porsche scenes kinda hit??? I like them as bitchy reluctant allies so much (although I still think Porsche deserves to know what Vegas did in ep 4 - maybe Vegas will admit it and apologize in the finale when they’re on their little murder mystery adventure?). I can imagine post-canon when VegasPete are an item and everyone comes to the main house for scrabble night or smth and Porsche and Vegas just bitch at each other the whole night while Kinn and Pete roll their eyes.
Everybody is just going through everything at once Lestat, I wanna give all of them a bear hug (or a head pat for Pete since he’s sore from the torture and all :/)

have you seen RYU HYERI around? i heard they moved here because OF A RESTRAINING ORDER. their tenant agreement says they are TWENTY SIX YEARS OLD and a WANNABE CRIME STORY AUTHOR. i always see them doing COLLECTING OLD PAPERS and they kind of remind me of MOSS COLLECTING LITTLE RAINDROPS…
                                                            ➻ bio. ➻ profile. ➻ plots.
hi everyone! here i am introducing you to hyeri! if you would like to plot, please leave me a like and i will get to you via ims or you can just blatantly add me on discord anytime (molf hunter#0698) and we can get our midnight talks going on there... anyways, i am a bit late but extremely excited to get to know everyone! hyeri’s pages might not all work right now, but i will give an update whenever they do! and, underneath the read more, there is a little summary about the girl.
the ryu family is fairly normal, however expectation had always been high. hyeri has got an older brother who seems to be more succesful at life – definitely casting her as the black sheep of the family.
the attention had never really been on her, thus she often acted up when she was younger, having to learn how to get things to go her way – no matter how.
she managed to get through life without many problems, sure, there were the usual scoldings here and there for doing something dumb, but all went well throughout high school, so well that she was even allowed to to go to university and study literature.
easily distraced and full of herself, hyeri didn’t get very far with her usual antics. she was fialing classes and she wouldn’t admit it to her parents, she just thought she might get through things no matter what because... well, she was ryu hyeri. it always worked out, right?
being distracted by her surroundings apparently wasn’t enough for her, and she quickly found romance. being excited about this; the first time she would feel these feelings for someone else, hyeri quickly became unbearable. there wasn’t a second she didn’t want to spend with this other person and she had to learn the hard way that... life shouldn’t be this intense.
after only a month, the breakup was inevitable, but she didn’t quite understand. in dramas, you just had to be persistent, right? and persistent she was. too persistent. apparently, your ex doesn’t like it when you appear at their dorm room at midnight, begging them to let you in.
but hyeri thought this was romance and that, if she continued trying, like with everything else, she would eventually make it and win this person’s heart back. but... she didn’t.
what she got was a restraining order. now with all her information on a police file and having to move out of university due to this order, she had to contact her parents, which quickly became another problem – her failing courses didn’t help the cause.
once again, there was a scolding, and it seemed like the world was sick of her. it basically happened overnight that a room was arranged for her, somewhere far off, with the excuse of ‘you can follow your dreams of becoming an author there’. it was an excuse, but it was good enough for hyeri.
her bank account looks... bad at best, and with her parents having her exiled, there won’t be much coming in either.
hyeri is currently trying to write a crime novel, collecting ideas and updating her blog, hoping that the few clicks she gets will keep her afloat until she makes it big as the next edgar allan poe or something like that.
inside her brain:
hyeri is a bit of an eccentric, she is convinced of herself and very prideful, so she doesn’t take criticism too well... or she just choses to ignore it.
she gets attached extremely easily. whatever interests her will take up her entire attention span and she will hate doing anything else but whatever she is fixated on.
she often spends time just ... in her head, imagining and daydreaming, often times too much, instead of actually being productive.
once she makes a friend, she is an extremely good friend – she blabbers too much, but she will still listen, even if it sometimes might seem like words enter one ear and go right through the other... she will remember little details about others.
she can be... a bit much? if she wants something, she will try her best to get it, no matter what.

Hi!! Feel free to add or change anything!! Can I please request a (John lives au🥺) Tommy Shelby x Mutant!fem!reader (X-Men/Peaky Blinders crossover) where she is a mutant that is a part of the X-Men and She can control the Earth’s 4 elements (fire, ice, wind and earth) and has telekinesis. The X-Men have to travel back in time to various points (in order to stop something bad in the future), each mutant going to a different time (like if Days of Future Past mixed with Endgame), and Y/n goes back to the time to the Peaky Blinder’s time and runs into the Shelbys while she’s trying to stop something happening that will badly effect the future? I can so imagine Thomas, John, Arthur, and Finn trying to bring her in for questioning after finding her snooping, but she kicks their butts because she has world saving to do lol😂😂 After a while spent with the Shelbys/Blinders, she ends up not wanting to go back to her time because She and Tommy fell in love?
I would imagine they would be pretty shocked to find out about mutants and time travel 🧭

Thank you so much for this request! I was unsure about how I would wrangle the two stories together as they are my two favorite fandoms. This was true labour of love. I hope it's what you were looking for. I honestly had to write it in chunks. I could have put together a full novel about the ideas I had.
Hope you enjoy bestie! XO

Summary: Reader is a mutant who has to follow her family back into Erik's past to save the world. She accidently falls back into Birmingham 1920's surrounded by the Peaky Blinders, which happens to be her favorite TV show....
It sounds tacky when I put it like that but I promise it works.
Rated - Teen: Heart break. So much pain, but also so so so much fluff. Mentions of death, grief, major character death of sorts, mentions of violence, mentions of Nazi Germany.
If you don't follow the X-Men it pretty much just reads as a time travel romance fic
Things had gone from bad to very very bad in a short span of time.
Six months ago Magneto went rogue again. Leaving the X-Men to make a more aggressive stance against the new mutant legislations that were coming into action.
That’s the exact moment we went from bad to worse.
The government was ready for the attack and used it as an opportunity to strike against him hard with their new weaponry. They now had these freaky gigantic robots trying to hunt us down. They hadn’t yet found out the location of the school but you and everyone else knew that the days were becoming limited.
Like most of Charles and Erik's fights, everything ended with Erik outside the front door looking defeated. Charles sobered up and they were back to being a power couple ready to save the world.
The two of them had sat down tracing back through time to the exact points in history that lead us all here. You sat in Charles' study looking between him, Erik, and the overwhelming bulletin board. It was covered in pictures, letters, maps, and a lot of rainbow yarn you feared had come from your personal collection.
“That better not be my roll of rainbow yarn.” You said sternly, taking a seat in one of the chairs.
“World is ending bub, keep it focused.” Logan said, looking as unimpressed as you felt.
“Alright. We don't have much time so I appreciate everyone's undivided attention.” Charles said in his most calming teacher voice.
“Here is a list of what's expected of you.” Erik said sternly and you thanked him as he handed you your individual paper. You quickly looked it over and internally started to freak out. It was all about Europe in the late 1930’s…
The meeting went into full swing and it did nothing to make you feel better. They expected the people in this room, your family. To divide and be sent back in time to fix certain events leading to the current weaponry that was about to destroy mutant kind, and potentially the whole world.
You were shaking by the end of it. Everyone cleared out, there was three hours till go time. Erik called you to stay and you watched him motion Charles out of the room.
You looked at him and resisted the urge to throw a temper tantrum. Erik and Charles had become something like parents to you over the many years you’d been here. Erik was someone you were especially close with, and he fucking left. He fucked this all up. Deep down you knew it was for the better that he had forced the government's hand, it gave you time to prepare this seven layer dip of a plan to stop them.
But still he left you here. He might not be your actual father but your heart didn’t know the difference.
He looked at you with eyes that tore into your soul.
“I know I fucked up but please understand, if I thought there was any possible thing I could have done but leave. I would have. I won’t have you, Peter, and Wanda in a camp. I just wont.” His voice was dripping with poorly concealed emotion making his accent thicker. Suddenly you burst, you wished this confrontation didn't happen right before you needed to have your shit together. You went over to him and wrapped your arms around him tightly. You didn't need to say anything because he knew he was forgiven.
“You're going back to Germany, when I was little.” These words hurt him even more and you held him tighter. “It’s not a very happy place. But look at me.” You did as you were told, looking up into his blue eyes. “You come home safe to me.” He said it in German and you couldn't help the tears that started to fall.
“I put everything down on that list. You keep it close.”
“I will.” You responded back in German. Now you knew why you were picked for this. Trying to meddle with Nazi Germany was a task better suited for someone like Logan, who had actually fought there. Not that he would remember it though..
“You're a smart kid, I have no doubts in my mind that you're capable of this” Charles said entering the room, having read your mind. With the current climate you didn't chew him out for it. Erik held you tighter for a moment, then let you go after placing a kiss to your forehead.
They were asking you to be tough and strong yet they were tearing you up with all this affection. Erik cleared his throat and grabbed a thick leather notebook.
“Take this too. Forgive some of the more personal stuff. It was from my life after the war but it has some stuff about what happened during. Thought it better to send you with too much than not enough.” You accepted the book and nodded at him sadly.
“I have to go and apologize to the others now. But I’ll see you again before you go. Let me know if you think of any questions.” He strode out of the room and you silently said a prayer that your family would all make it back safe.
Charles gave you an empathetic stare before giving you a big hug.
“I love you. We love you.” He said softly.
“I love you both too.” You thought to him in your mind.
Then it was time for the action. You had similar, rather tense emotional moments with your adoptive siblings and other members of the team.
Even Wade came over and gave you a big hug.
“You give ol Adolf an extra one between the eyes for me kid.” Somehow his mask winked at you and you gave him a nod and a sad smile.
They had you in a cotton layered outfit that was surprisingly accurate to the time period which was good. The last thing that 1930’s Europe was ready for was you in one of your brothers stolen Led Zeppelin T-shirts and a pair of mom jeans.
You held your leather purse close to your side and mentally ran through everything inside. You weren't allowed to take much outside of the notebook and list from Erik. You realized that in a few short moments you would be in a whole other world, with no money and every single person you knew wouldn't be reachable.
You would be completely alone.
They got you sorted into the machine and you watched as Erik and Charles both watched your body disappear with a pain that only parents could feel when their children were about to go far away for the first time.
Everything went dark. Suddenly you felt like you had a horrible case of the bed spins. You tried to relax but you had to force every breath of air into your lungs.
Then suddenly you were in an old alleyway. Two large brick buildings were on either side of you with people's laundry above your head. Why they had laundry out in this damp weather was beyond you.
Gunshots rang out in front of you and collided with a man standing further down the alleyway.
Oh Fuck
You watched his body crumple, but what could you do? You could see he was dead and you resisted the urge to rush over and help. That would only draw attention to yourself when what you needed to do was keep a low profile.
Two very tired, but well dressed men emerged from the fog and looked at you standing there.
Normally you wouldn't feel afraid but your body felt different, like your powers were still slightly out of reach.
“You didn't see nothin!” One of them exclaimed in a very British accent, while pointing a gun at you. You nodded in agreement, turning on your heel making your way down the alleyway.
“You can't just let her go. Tommy will want to make sure she keeps ‘er fuck’in mouth shut.” The second man said a little bit too loudly. You picked up your pace.
“Tommy isn't going to care about some woman Arthur.”
“What if she’s with ‘em though, she might know something.” The second man only let out a long string of cuss words.
“Eh! Miss. Don’t move.” You stopped because you knew that he had a gun to your back. You turned around slowly.
“By orders of the Peaky Blinders.” The taller one called out. The words cut through you like glass.
Peaky Blinders?! Like the show?! Oh no. no. no. no. This was very bad.
“Shut up Arthur”
They both came towards you leaving the dead man’s body long forgotten. You didn't resist them, mostly because you were in shock. They put you into the back seat of a car and you just looked around you. Birmingham. Blinders.
Damn, props to the casting manager, and to the costume people. Not to mention the prop people. This was like falling into the TV.
You were brought into the betting shop. It was really different from the show, but it still felt the same somehow.
Peaky Fucking Blinders
Speaking of fucking. The rather distressed man in front of you must have been Thomas Shelby.
Your face flushed and you tried to remind yourself that this was real life. Your family was out there doing their part, and somehow you’d fallen into the wrong time…
These people weren’t the ones you watched on TV with your dad, or stayed up reading fanfiction about. These were the real deal.
His eyes settled on you.
“What the fuck is this then?!” He shouted.
“She was in the alleyway with the Russian.”
“WHAT DO YOU KNOW?” He screamed at you and you jumped.
“I was just in the wrong place. I swear.” He looked at you with a piercing look, suddenly you really did hope that Cillian Murphy won hundreds of awards for his performance.
“You are lying. And I don't have time for lying.”
“We’ve got to get to the Train.” One of the men said, drawing his gaze away from you.
“Go, I’ll take her with me.”
You were pushed into another car, this time with Thomas driving.
“Look I know you know something I can feel it. Just tell me and I won't kill you.”
“I swear if I knew something I would tell you” You answered calmly.
“FUCK” He was driving recklessly and only started to push the car faster.
He got out and dragged you into a field where men had a tent and some kind of mining operation happening.
“Tommy there’s no way we are going to get through this quickly.”
“I need everything out by sunrise. They have Charlie.” The two men looked at each other and you assumed that Charlie must be very important to them.
“Don't let her out of your sight.” He motioned towards you before starting to strip down.
“What do you need to get out? I might be able to help.” You mentally kicked yourself, this was so Charles of you. Now was not the time nor the era to be using your mutant powers to help gangsters.
“How on earth are you going to help?” Suddenly you realized that you were by far the most powerful person in the setting. And probably the whole city. The shock was finally gone and you could feel the elements around you humming like you usually could.
“I can get you whatever you're digging for in less than five minutes, in exchange for information.”
The man he was talking to let out a laugh. But Tommy only stared at you with those perceptive eyes.
“Jewels, they are ten yards in that direction in an underground cellar.” As he spoke you could feel them vibrating exactly where he said they would be.
“Why am I doing this?” You asked him seriously. You didn't have time to play heist with them no matter how many hours you spent reading about it.
“Because they have my son” He looked desperate and it twisted up your heart.
“Take everyone out of the tunnel and have them turn away from me.” You instructed him and he gave the order. The men were looking at the two of you like he’d finally snapped. But they did as they were told.
You pushed your mind through the earth till you could feel the jewels. You moved the earth aside, extending the tunnel in one swift movement, then pulled the jewels through. Your feet met the ground again and you realised he didn't turn around. He stood there eyes wide with a stone-like expression.
The guy just watched you levitate and saw your eyes glow brown and bright white. But still he just looked at you like he always knew you’d been a part of this world.
You used your powers to place all the loot into the bag in his hand.
“Thank you.” You could see in his eyes that he meant it.
“What year is it?”
“1928”
“Fuck!” You were going to be stuck here for at least ten plus years. Panic washed over you.
“Help me get my son?”
“Sure” you answered realising you had all the time in the fucking world to chase Tommy around.
In the span of a few short hours you’d rescheduled someone’s abortion, helped the father of that baby kill his molester, rescued what might be the cutest baby ever if not for the horrible hair cut, and stopped some kind of train from exploding.
For some reason this made some Russians very mad. So you’d handled that too.
Now you were sitting in Thomas Shelby’s kitchen with a glass of whiskey in your hand as he held his sleeping child in his arms.
“What are you?”
“Pretty sure I just did all the heavy lifting so I could ask the big questions” You didn't mean to be that sassy with him, the man looked like absolute shit, but the smallest smile crept onto his face. That stupid smile pushed that soft spot in your heart a little. You let out a long sigh.
“I am a mutant from the future. I can control the elements earth, water, fire, air, and I can move objects with my mind.” You added more whiskey to the glasses with your mind, watching him struggle to contain his expression. “I have to stop something horrible from happening in Nazi Germany.”
“Nazi’s?” He rolled the word around in his mouth. “I don't know much about mutants.”
“I didn't think you would.” You said with a small smile.
“And you know me well then?” He asked with a raised brow.
“In some ways I feel like I do, but deep down I know that I really don’t” He studied you for a moment and you saw the many questions burning in his eyes.
“How about this. You help me with the Nazi’s when the time comes, and I’ll help you as much as I can until then” He thought about it, eyes making your skin burn.
“But I’m not in control of when they pull me back so I could just disappear at any moment.”
“Deal.” He took a sip of whiskey.
“You must be tired, but I’m also happy to answer questions if you have any.” Really you just didn't want this to end. Any second Hank could realise his mistake, you hated yourself for it, but you wanted this to last for a bit.
You expected him to be tired, and worn out after everything. Instead he asked you questions about your abilities, the future. All the stuff you’d expect. He said his mother had told him about people like you when he was small, that’s why he didn't doubt you.
You told him that he was remembered in the future very well. A blush crept onto your face, embarrassed and slightly guilty about all the thoughts you’d had about him. Well fictional him anyway.
This only pushed him to want to know about it. So you told him that there was a television show about his family that you were very fond of. You gave a brief description of film and television.
“And you like me in that show?” He asked.
“Ah, yeah. You could say that.” But the burn on your cheeks gave you away.
“Hmm and the man that acts out my character, he’s alright?”
“Oh yeah. He does a good job.” You could feel the amusement rolling off of him.
________
Weeks passed and Tommy adjusted to having you live with him. These were hard weeks for you as you were worried sick about being stuck here while your family was across time and space potentially being murdered or imprisoned.
It was the kind of stress that led to a lot of nightmares. Nightmares that had the potential to shake the whole house…
After the first two times of him tearing into your room waking you up and holding your shaking body tightly, he recommended you just sleep next to him.
One tremor he could blame on an earthquake, two tremors - well stranger things had happened, but the superstitious maids were starting to get uneasy. Three tremors and he was sure they would assume the place was haunted by his late wife.
You took him up on his offer feeling very embarrassed every single piece of “there was only one bed” fanfiction you’d read flashed before your eyes as you laid there next to him.
Strangely enough you both slept better like that. Till one morning you woke up tangled in his sleeping body. That was an incident that led to a lot of kissing. Then courting. Then a full blown affair.
He often asked you about the various stories you’d read and written about him. Laughing at how sappy you made him, teasing you about it relentlessly.
_________________
Family was an interesting aspect of your time here. You missed yours so badly that you tried to insert yourself into his every moment you could.
You laughed and learned a lot from the women you became so close with.
When you looked back on it you’d like to think that you helped them all get along better just as much as they helped you grow up. Little Fin and Charlie looked up to you as some sort of God. Too wise to be an older sibling, and not strict enough to be a mother. It broke your heart knowing that eventually you’d leave them potentially without even getting the chance to say goodbye.
This prompted you to write out a notebook much like your fathers. Something to leave them with. Nothing about the future, but just love for them. Stuff they could read when they were in need of comfort. From what you knew of the up and coming war they would need it. You had birthday cards written out for the children till each of them turned 60.
_________
A year had passed and while you missed your family dearly. You had lots of daily tasks to keep up on providing for your family here. Between the family and Tommy you rarely stood still long enough to be sad.
Tommy proposed to you in the woods behind the house. You knew a public wedding and engagement wasn't possible with your potential to leave at any moment.
After trying to convince him otherwise you agreed.
A secret wedding was held in the fall with only your closest family.
_______________________
Ten years passed and you helped Tommy try to take out the British Nazi Party while also getting ready to travel to Germany.
The clock was ticking on your life here and the time had come to put the future world above what your heart wanted.
Tommy could feel it coming and took every possible moment he could spare to be around you. Both of you desperately clinging to what pieces of happiness you could hold onto before it was all ripped away.
You warned him about the stalk market crashes and about every part of the up and coming war and future that might impact the family.
_______________________
Then it was go time. The family sent you off with heavy hearts, only Polly and Tommy understood the task that lay heavily on your shoulders.
Tommy insisted on accompanying you as far as possible. You already knew that he fully intended on staying with you the whole time. You could always tell when he was lying.
You left him sleeping in a hotel just before you’d reached Germany. The morning light sprawled across his tattooed skin. You looked at the arms that carried you from being a child into becoming a woman. The hands that helped shape you and showed you how to overcome your worst fears. You’d stolen 12 years of this man's life, 12 years he should have been settling down with a wife and a mother for his child.
12 years of laughing all night, dancing in the kitchen, yelling with his family, night walks in the woods, more sex than you thought humanly possible, murder, money, gabling, horse races, drinking, and cocaine. All of it was about to be ripped away.
You shut the door leaving him a letter saying goodbye. Explaining everything, and how you were leaving him there to protect him. You told him where to find the many journals you’d written and the letters for his family.
Then you were off to find Shaw.
___________________________
It was a horrible task, you watched Erik’s mother, someone he said watched over you with the tender gaze only a grandmother could manage, die. Your heart broke there and you hoped that Erik was right, that she did watch over you and your siblings, that she understood why you let her body crumple to the ground.
You couldn't kill Shaw, or Hitler. Something that would weigh on your consciousness for the rest of your life. All the power to stop some of the most horrible things in history, and you had to walk away.
That didn't mean you couldn't raise hell though. You did what you were instructed to, passed the appropriate information on to the right people.
Freed as many Jews as you possibly could on the side…..
But no one needed to know about that.
You eventually rescued Erik, and saw the full extent of how Shaw had mutilated him. You comforted him and gave him the instructions he would need.
Despite him being a boy, and receiving an impossible amount of information about his future he still grabbed your arm before you left him there.
“Are you my daughter?” He looked so hopeful. The promise of a child meant the promise of a home, and true love.
You didn't have the heart to tell him that his wife and first daughter would be murdered in front of him. Or that I would fall into his lap as an orphan desperately in need of a father, that his two biological children would be kept from him till they were in their early twenties. The amount of collateral damage and problem fixing he had ahead of him. Not to mention his on and off again relationship that had caused the world to end more times that any other threat to the planet. A part of you wanted to. but Future Erik made you swear you wouldn't.
“You are a good father. Just keep your head up.” You kissed his forehead like he had done countless times to you. And left the freshly mangled boy in a hotel bed in a foreign country just like you’d left your husband a few short weeks ago.
__________
The task was filled but you didn't instantly fly back to the present day. So you got on a train back to Birmingham to spend whatever last sliver of time you had left next to your husband. After all the horrible things you had seen, the only thing you wanted, the only thing that could put you back together, was your husband's arms. You desperately wanted to fall apart, but you kept it together out of hope.
You wanted one last kiss.
You stepped off the train platform in Birmingham. One body amongst the busy sea of people, you looked at the train platform and it was the last thing you saw of your life there.
________
Horrible bed spins, and suddenly you were back in the basement of the mansion. Everyone was present, looking just the same as it had been 12 fucking years ago.
You immediately fell to your knees. Your body twisted in at the harsh realization that it was finally all over. A sob ripped through your chest as you crumpled to the floor. Erik’s hands reached you first as your family frantically tried to figure out if you’d been injured.
You wanted to tell them that it was only your heart being broken. That your mind was slowly fracturing into a million unrepairable pieces. A valuable part of you was left in Birmingham and your body didn't know how to breathe or pump blood without it.
You prayed for death. You realised that the words tumbled out of your mouth between sobs. Begging them to let it kill you. That you didn't want to live in a world without him.
____________
Time passed and it didn't kill you. Eventually you came to terms with the fact that if you died, they would only kick your ass right back into existence. The Shelby family fought as hard as your family did to live in a world of opportunity like this and to give it up would be a disgrace on their names.
So you lived on. Charles, Erik, Peter, Wanda, and the whole team did everything they could to comfort you through the loss. Everyone else was sent back for about two days, so they stayed relatively the same.
You watched as your parents mourned the loss of their bubbly ambitious 20 year old, as she was now filled with a 32 year old depressed widow.
Suddenly you understood the pain that constantly ran through Erik’s veins. Logan’s constant night terrors searching for a red headed woman hit too close to home. Watching Wade’s fists clench every time someone with long black hair walked by. It all made too much sense. The new awareness of grief had exposed you to how the people around you truly lived their lives.
Charles had bought Arrow House for you, hoping it would ease the pain. Something physical from that time to hold on to. The place was going to be demolished, and you were very grateful he had thought to look for it before it was lost like everything else.
Eventually you had to visit his grave.
Erik stood by the gates of the cemetery while you walked along trying to find him. It was a crisp autumn day much like the day you married him. And there he was, black marble with gold lettering.
What was left of the man that used to hold you every night lay six feet below you.
His tombstone was brief, and classy much like himself. But in small letters at the bottom you saw the song lyrics of your favorite song engraved. Song lyrics you left in the journal you’d stashed for him.
He found it.
And buried next to him was his wife. You thought you would feel jealous, but relief washed through you. He was looked after, Charlie had a mum. His life ran its course with someone next to him in his bed every night.
He moved on so you could too.

Hi! I saw that requests are open, if it's not a problem could i request Satan reacting to MC coming to him with new books every time they hang out because they want him to read them out loud since they have a short attention span? Like, Satan would be reading said book while MC is drawing or doing something else.
I have adhd and reading books that are not digital is a nightmare for me, so him reading out loud would be pretty relaxing.
Btw it's up to you if you wanna do headcanons or a oneshot!
ABSOLUTELY!!! So this is actually my first request and I'm super excited because as someone who also has ADHD I can totally relate! I hope you like it!
Too Still, Too Quiet
GN!MC with ADHD Summary: Satan notices that MC seems to have a hard time hanging out with him; he's determined to get to the bottom of the issue and find a solution.
After living in the House of Lamentation for nearly a year, you've grown accustomed to the many quirks that came with living with the seven Lords of the Devildom. You had gotten close to the brothers, and as they picked up on your symptoms for your ADHD, they each found their own ways of being helpful. Lucifer had always known, as it was written on your file, and made a point of sending you subtle reminders throughout the day to keep you organized and on task. He brushed it off saying that it merely prevented him from having to go after you later on if you forgot or did something incorrectly.  Mammon was no stranger to having a hard time prioritizing and staying focused and took pride in lending you some of the different tools he used to fidget with. After all, his human deserved the best, and you couldn’t get any better than using something that belonged to the great Mammon. Leviathan’s room provided a relaxing atmosphere with just enough stimulation to keep your brain satisfied enough to focus on your school work and tasks. The sounds of the aquarium provided a fantastic back ground noise, and Levi always took caution in wearing his headphones when he gamed if you were working in his room to not add to the distractions around you.  Asmodeus had a good eye for when you were growing too frustrated by the regular chaos that tended to fill the House of Lamentation and would pull you aside to his room for some self-care to help calm you down. There was nothing like a head message and face mask from Asmo as he happily gossiped about the latest drama in The Fall to help ground you.  Beelzebub, on the other hand, was great at noticing when you were starting to grow restless. In those moments, he’d not-so-subtly state that he was heading to the gym and it’d sure be nice if he had someone to join in before very obviously making eye contact with you. At first you had a hard time figuring out a good balance between a work out that satisfied Beel while also not killing you. But now the two of you easily worked with each other until you were both sweating, smiling, and happy. He also made sure to remind you to eat through out the day whenever you went to a round of hyper-fixation on something. Belphegore wasn’t particularly helpful when it came to your forgetful spells or disorganization as, being the Avatar of Sloth, he would normally encourage such behavior. Instead, he did what he did best, and helped put your wandering mind to ease whenever you were trying to sleep.  The only person, and not for a lack of trying, that you just couldn’t seem to find a flow with was Satan.
He was too quiet and organized for you to be able to stand being around him for long periods of time. You had tried hanging out with him a couple of times, but after a few minutes of him silently reading or him explaining whichever text he was currently studying, you would grow restless and distracted.  Which brought you to your current situation.  Satan had invited you to come relax in his room with him, as the rest of his brothers were dealing with the aftermath of their most recent dilemma. It wasn’t so bad at first, some light conversation here, some banter there, but soon your mind started to wander off to the spines of the endless books around you as you pondered on what might be inside them.  “MC?”  Your attention snapped back onto Satan, who stood frowning at you. You blushed and scratched the back of your neck. “Oh, I’m sorry. I got a little distracted. What were you saying?”  Satan sighed as his frown deepened.  “I’ve noticed that tends to happen a lot with you. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!” He quickly amended raising his hands in defense. “But it seems particularly bad when you’re with me. You get quite jittery and I don’t think you’ve ever stayed in my room longer than ten minutes,” for a second his eyes almost looked sad as he looked over at you, “Is it something I’m doing? Do I make you uncomfortable?”  “No! Satan, no, it’s not you I promise!” You quickly reassured moving closer to him. “It’s just well I have a hard time staying still and focusing on things and when it gets too quiet it bothers me because then my brain is like hyper fixating on the smallest noises in the room, even though I’m supposed to be focusing on what you’re saying or my work, and it’s like, is that a page a turning or a something scratching at the door and then I start wondering about what kind of things could be in here and-”  “MC.” Satan cut off, though he didn’t seem annoyed. In fact, his eyes now gleamed with a sense of understanding. “Do you happen to have ADHD?”  “Yeah, I thought you all knew? Lucifer told all of you when I arrived right? That’s why everyone is so-” you moved your hand in a vague gesture that even you weren’t entirely sure what it was meant to symbolize.  Satan huffed and shook his head. “Lucifer did no such thing. I imagine he would’ve told us if it came to be a big enough problem. But you know him. He takes pride in being the only one to know certain things. “  You frowned and tilted your head in confusion. “But then what about the others? They’ve all been helping me out for months now.”  Satan placed a hand under his chin in thought, “They most likely took note of individual symptoms and decided to help. Belphegore, and possibly even Leviathan and Asmodeus may have put two and two together, but the rest probably think you’re just forgetful or that you’re restless,” he smiled reassuringly at you, “but that’s besides the point. Now that I know, I can help make you feel more at ease when you’re with me. What’s the main issue that you-” “It’s too quiet!” You quickly cut off, causing Satan to raise an eyebrow. “When we’re in here relaxing and you’re just reading and I’m supposed to be reading too, it’s too quiet. I try to focus on the book, but my mind keeps jumping around to other things. And I want to read all those books you’ve recommended to me, I really do, but I start feeling bored after a little while and next thing I know I jumping sentences without noticing and then I’ve gone an entire chapter with no recollection of what I’ve just read because I wasn’t really paying attention to the words at all I was just flipping pages without realizing it, so I have to go back and re-read the whole thing all over again!” You throw your hands in the air in frustration. “Is exhausting and makes me feel dumb, so I get up and do something else instead.”  Satan nodded, taking in every word carefully. “Well first of all,” you yelped as he flicked your forehead.  “Ouch! What was that for?!”  The demon smirked and crossed his arms over his chest. “For calling yourself dumb. Just because you have more difficulty with literature than others, does not mean you’re dumb. You simply require a different reading strategy than what most consider “usual”, and I believe I have a solution that would suit both of us,” you perked up at his words. “I recommended those books to you because I greatly enjoyed them myself. How about, when you’re here, you can choose a book you want to read, and I will read it out loud for you? That should help, yes?”  A light airy warmth filled your chest at just how accommodating Satan was willing to be. “But what about the books that you were reading?”  The demon shrugged, “I can always read them in my spare time.” He moved closer to take your hands into his, silently demanding your full attention. “I want to spend more time with you and get to know you better. I want you to be comfortable and be able to be yourself when you’re around me without feeling stressed. This is honestly the least I could do for you, MC.”  Blushed rushed to your cheeks as you felt your heart flutter in your chest. You awkwardly cleared your throat and took your hands back, rubbing them on your legs as you noted how clammy they were. “I think I-I would like that a lot” The grin on Satan’s face widened as he took one of your hands and lead you deeper into the bookshelves of his room. “Splendid! Then why don’t we get try right away? Take you pick, MC, I will be your narrator for the evening and for as long as you wish.”  ***** I hope this was something along the lines of what you were looking for! It is a little short, but I hope you like it. Thank you so much for the request, I loved it! Requests are OPEN and I would definitely love to complete some more if anyone has any ideas or prompts that they’d like me to complete. Just send in an ask and, if I feel comfortable with it, I’ll do my best to make a fic for it!

“Y/n! Wait up!”
You span round on your heels, wiping away a stray tear that had fallen, “I said I’m fine, Fred! Okay? I’m fine. Absolutely fabulous, in fact.”
Fred stopped in front of you, a shimmer of pity in his brown eyes that made you feel even worse than you already did, “I just want to make sure you’re okay. I-I’m sorry-“
“I know. I know, Freddie,” you replied, your voice quiet as you pressed your lips together, reaching out to grab his hands in yours, “It’s okay. It is, really. I just... I need to be alone.”
“But I- I just... it’s his loss, just so you know!” He pleaded, shaking his head at you, and swore under his breath at the sight of one of his closest friends in tears over his brother, “Merlin, he shouldn’t have given that to her- I shouldn’t have said anything-“
And that’s where your problem had started. Because a few weeks ago, you were, as you claimed, fine. Well, you had a few essays due and were having trouble finding the textbooks to help you write them, but that was all really.
How you wished you could steal a time turner and go back in time.
And yes, when this all started you knew that George had his heart taken by someone else. It’s not his fault, not really, that his whole plan, scheme, escapade turned into something that would completely crush your heart.
Affairs of the heart. That’s where this started. Because before a few days ago, you were unaware of your own feelings. Before a few days ago, you were unaware of any feelings towards him at all.
But that fateful moment - the one where you were sat with George in front of the fireplace, a half-drank bottle of firewhisky sitting between you, laughing and joking - was the one that changed everything.
You hadn’t even realised yourself, until Fred pointed it out to you the morning after, when he’d found you curled up by George’s side, empty firewhisky bottle laying on the floor in front of the couch, George’s arm around your waist, your face buried into his chest.
In Fred’s defence, he thought you knew. He thought you’d be aware of your own feelings.
How was he supposed to know that you didn’t know you were in love with his twin?
_________~*~_________
“This is the year I reckon,” George announced to you as he collapsed onto the sofa beside you, throwing his legs over your thighs as he rested his back against the arm of the couch, his arms resting behind his neck, “She’s finally single, first time since second year. Now’s my chance!”
You popped a Bertie’s Every Flavour Bean into your mouth and closed the book you weren’t really paying attention to, before dropping it on the table in front of the couch, “And how long have you liked her again?”
George blinked at the way you raised an eyebrow at him and sat up a little, “Since I found out she was single again.” At your pointed look, he shot you a grin, “Nah, since before the summer. Point is, I reckon I could really like this girl.”
“Poor love, having you snivelling around her all the time. I wonder how she’ll cope,” you grinned back, throwing one of the jelly beans at his head.
“Well you seem to cope just fine,” he retorted, batting another jelly bean away from his head.
“That’s just because I’m desensitised to you by now.”
“Is that so?” George asked with a raised eyebrow, a grin etched onto his face as he sat up properly, leaning a little closer to you. You turned your head to face him, meeting his stare as you nodded, “Course, how else would I have put up with you so long?”
He leant further forward and pressed a quick kiss to your forehead, “Willingly, because you love me, stupid.”
You nudged him, making him laugh as he went back to lying down comfortably, “Yeah, yeah.”
You watched a few first years clamber through the portrait hole, laughing to each other as they made their way through the common room, an absent-minded smile gracing your lips as you recalled being the same in your first year with your friends.
“How do you reckon I should ask her out?” George’s voice brought you away from your reminiscing as you looked over at him, “She deserves something amazing, something no other guy will have thought of for her.”
You rolled your eyes, knowing this would be the topic of conversation for the rest of the evening, but nevertheless gestured for him to continue on. “I wanna go all out if she’s gonna turn out to be everything I’ve ever wanted in a girl,” George finished, a dreamy, faraway look crossing his features.
Reaching into the box of jelly beans, you grabbed a handful and threw them at him, ignoring his indignant “hey!” as you replied pointedly, “Don’t go mistaking paradise for a pair of long legs.”
Because truthfully, that was why a lot of guys were interested in Kiara. She was smart - being a Ravenclaw and all - surprisingly funny, and, as far as you knew, was really kind too. Not that this mattered to many of the boys in your year (and the years above and below), apparently, because she was also beautiful, with long, glossy brown hair, perfect doll-like features and, yes, long, lean legs.
“That’s not why I like her,” George insisted, grabbing one of the jelly beans that had fallen onto his lap and throwing it back at you, laughing as it hit you on the forehead. You playfully glared at him, rubbing your forehead in mock-hurt.
“Sure it’s not, stupid,” you replied, using his minor insult from before. “Ohhh, I’m the stupid one now, am I?” He scoffed, though the smile on his face told you he wasn’t offended in the slightest, “Now you’re in for it.”
He moved his legs off you and poked your sides, knowing you were ticklish, making you laugh out and push him away, “George, stop!”
“Take it back then, love. Say I’m the smartest wizard you know,” he grinned, continuing his minor tickling assault, making you move away from him so abruptly that you fell off the couch and onto the carpeted floor, bringing him down on top of you.
“Ouch- never! You are stupid, stupid!” You laughed, laying on the floor as you tried to catch your breath, George’s hands either side of your head, holding his weight up above you.
Both of your laughter faded a little and you found yourself staring into his brown eyes, his face barely centimetres from your own. You could have almost sworn that he started moving closer - though maybe it was your imagination - before he rolled away and lay beside you on the floor, his hand brushing yours.
“You’ll help me right?” He asked after a moment. You turned your head to look at him, taking in his side profile as he stared up at the ceiling.
“I’ll help you what?”
“Get a date with her,” he said as if it were obvious, turning his head to meet your gaze. You shot him a smile, “You’re George Weasley. You could get a date with anyone you wanted.”
“Just not you, right?” He turned onto his side, resting on his elbow as he looked down at you. You shook your head with a laugh, “Yeah well, I don’t count. I’m not just anyone.”
The smile he gave you made your heart beat a little faster, “You’re right about that.”
***
“All I’m saying is, is it such a bad idea if you just, I don’t know, asked her out simply? By using words? I really don’t think you need to wax poetic, or write her a bloody song to ask her out,” you shook your head in despair at the nerve-wracked boy sat across from you in the Great Hall.
“I can’t just ask her out,” George replied in a horrified voice, “What if she thinks I’ve not put enough effort into it and rejects me?”
“Trust me, Georgie, if she’s going to reject you, it won’t be because of the way you asked her out, I can guarantee that. It’ll be because you’re annoying, or because you smell, or, and I can’t stress this enough, because of your below-average skills in potions,” you laughed at his unimpressed look, taking the opportunity to grab a slice of toast off his plate.
“You’re supposed to be my best friend, you know,” he grumbled, waving his fork at you. “Yes,” you replied, “And as your best friend, I say to just ask her out. Look, joking aside, you’re a great guy, George. She’d be lucky to have you.”
He nodded, smiling gratefully at you as he reached forward and grabbed your hand to give it a squeeze, “Okay, I’ll trust you on this one. I’ll just... ask her out. How difficult could it be?”
Turns out, extremely difficult. You felt second hand embarrassment as you watched George head over to the Ravenclaw table, to where Kiara was sitting, wincing as he nearly dropped a goblet of pumpkin juice over her.
“Who’re you watching?” A voice said from beside you, making you jump. Fred laughed as you rolled your eyes at him, before replying, “For your information, I’m watching your brother ask Kiara on a date.”
“Wait, he’s asking another girl on a date?” Fred frowned, his eyes darting from George, who was currently speaking to Kiara, his cheeks reddening as she touched his shoulder and laughed, to your confused expression as you looked up at the older twin. “Yes?” You replied, bemused, “Why?”
“Does it not... bother you?” He asked gently. You laughed, “Why would it?”
And as you watched Kiara throw her arms around George’s neck, his hands coming to hold her waist, you swallowed thickly, before shaking your head at the odd feeling in the pit of your stomach.
Why would it bother you?
You forced a smile onto your face as George made his way back to his original seat, a smug grin adorning his features. “Well?” You asked, rather redundantly as you had seen the whole thing yourself.
“She said yes,” he replied excitedly, picking up his fork and popping some bacon into his mouth. “I told you!” You grinned at him, though you pushed your own plate away, no longer hungry.
“Attaboy, Georgie!” Fred congratulated his twin, “When’s the date?”
“This Saturday, at The Three Broomsticks,” the younger twin replied. You zoned out of the chatter on the table about this newest revelation, feeling your heart plummet at George’s words, though you couldn’t place your finger on why.
George was your best friend, you should be happy for him... right?
***
Saturday arrived quicker than you wanted, after a week of tedious lessons, and a bombardment of questions over what George should do on his date.
You watched him pull out two different jumpers, holding each one up at a time and looking at you expectedly. Tilting your head to the side, you pointed to the red one, “Was always my favourite one.”
“Red it is,” he nodded, throwing the other jumper onto his bed as he held the red jumper out to you for you to hold. Without warning, he pulled the t shirt he was currently wearing off, leaving his toned torso on show as he dropped said t shirt onto the floor and held his hand out for the jumper.
You handed it to him, gulping a little as you forced yourself not to stare at his abs. It was no secret the George was good looking - you’d always known it - but knowing and seeing were two different things. Being a Beater had done tremendous things to his body, you noted.
“Do you reckon I should bring her flowers?” George asked you, looking at you through the reflection of his mirror as he messed his hair up a little.
“Couldn’t hurt,” you shrugged, sending him a half-hearted smile as you grabbed your wand, muttering ‘orchideous’ and handing him the bouquet that was produced.
He thanked you, before taking a deep breath, “Well, what do you reckon?”
The smile that spread across your face this time was genuine, a soft look in your eye as you replied, “You look great, Georgie. Now go get her!”
He shot you one last grin, pressing a kiss to your forehead, before heading out of his dorm, leaving you alone. You picked up the t shirt he’d dropped, folding it and placing it at the end of his bed, before grabbing the jumper he’d discarded.
You took a breath before deciding to put the jumper on, relishing in the smell of George’s aftershave as you pulled it over your head, before rolling up the sleeves and heading out of the dorm.
***
“How many dates has it been now, three? Four?” You asked, wrapping your coat further around yourself as you trudged through the thick snow of Hogsmeade, passing by a couple of cute shops.
“The Yule Ball will be the fifth.”
You froze at the mention of the Ball. Somehow you’d assumed you’d be going with George - you didn’t even think about the fact that he’d have a girlfriend he could take, “Oh! So you um, asked Kiara to the Ball then?”
“Last night,” George bit his lip as he smiled, “Can’t wait!”
Your stomach clenched and mind raced, eyebrows furrowing as you realised you now had just under a week and half to find a date to the Ball - if anyone was still available, that was. You thought about every single eligible boy you knew of, wondering if you had the courage to even ask any of them, before you were pulled from your thoughts by George’s voice.
“I wanna buy her something for Christmas, what do you reckon?” George asked, picking at a strand coming off his woollen hat before placing it back onto his head.
“I don’t really know the girl,” you said truthfully, forcing yourself to stop thinking about George and Kiara dancing and him holding her all night, “I assume you’d have better judgment.”
He nodded over to a small shop on your left, one that you’d passed by many times but never had the chance to look in.
“The jewellery shop?” You asked, raising your eyebrows at him. He grabbed your hand and pulled you over to the door, “Let’s just have a look, yeah?”
The bell chimed as you stepped inside and you instantly became enamoured with the little shop, rows of glass cases showing off sparkly pieces of jewellery and adornments. Most, you noticed quickly, were much too expensive for you - and by default, much too expensive for George, too.
“Are you sure about something from in here?” You asked, staring down at a ring adorned with sapphires, “These are pretty pricey.”
“They might be, but she deserves it. Besides, gotta prove I’m better than all the guys that want to date her, right?” George replied from across the shop.
“Georgie,” you looked over at him with a pointed look, “I can promise you are better than all the other guys.”
“No harm in making sure.”
You gave up arguing, knowing he wouldn’t listen anyway, your eyes taking in the beautiful products, before your focus was taken by a rather stunning necklace. Stepping over to it for a closer look, you breathed out in shock at the price, but nevertheless knew you were in love with the chain, a little pendant surrounded by crystals displayed at the centre.
“What’ve you seen?” George spoke, suddenly standing behind you and leaning over your shoulder.
You pointed at the necklace, “Someday, I’m gonna buy that one.”
George glanced down at the look on your face and grinned to himself, “Someday, I’ll buy that one for you.” You turned to look at him, shaking your head in amusement, “You need to choose something for your girlfriend before you start promising me presents.”
“What’s the fun in that?” George laughed as you both left the shop.
You sat beside George on the couch later that night, resting your head on his shoulder as you shared a bottle of firewhisky between you.
“It was not!” You screeched, your laugh echoing through the empty common room as you nudged the ginger boy, making him laugh along with you. “It absolutely was,” he insisted, grinning before taking a sip of the firewhisky, taking in the sight of you looking so happy, and realising your laugh was one of his favourite sounds, “You were the one who wanted to sneak food from the kitchens, so it was your fault we got caught!”
You shook your head, “It was you tripping into that metal armour. All that noise when the bloody head fell off.”
“You pushed me, stupid!” George scolded indignantly, crossing his arms over his chest and pouting like a child.
“I shoved you,” you corrected, laughing as George playfully nudged you, causing you to nudge him back, and soon you were play fighting on the couch.
He, once again, was above you, almost pinning you to the couch as he looked down at you, and it was only then that you realised just how inebriated you both were, the empty firewhisky bottle having fallen onto the floor.
George’s tongue darted out to lick his bottom lip, “You know I love you, right?”
You smiled softly up at him, arms around his neck as you nodded, somehow feeling like those words had more weight to them than usual. Leaning up to kiss his cheek, you replied, “Of course, Georgie.”
Morning arrived quickly, much to your dismay, and you were woken abruptly by the sound of heavy footsteps stomping down the stairs. You couldn’t bring yourself to move to see who it was, too comfortable with your head resting on George’s chest, his arm securely around your waist, but luckily for you, said culprit of the noise came right by your line of sight, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
“Well what do we have here?” Fred cooed, rocking back and forth as he looked at you curled up in his twin’s arms. “Me and George falling asleep after drinking maybe a tad too much?” You replied as if it were obvious.
“You look awfully cosy,” he grinned, “But then, I suppose I would too if I was cuddling someone I was in love with.”
You felt like your heart stopped and you nearly choked on air, “Wait wait wait, someone I what?!”
“‘Someone I was in love with’?” Fred repeated slowly, narrowing his eyes at you, “You do know... right?”
At your blank expression, Fred raised an eyebrow, “You do know you’re in love with George... right?”
“I’m not in love with-“ You paused as you thought back over the years of your friendship. You’d never really thought about it before - never really had to. But you treated George differently to any other friend you had. No one could make you laugh like he could, or make you feel as protected and safe as he did. And no one ever made you feel like you were flying, like he did.
“Oh Godric... I’m in love with George!” You whisper-shouted, a hand coming to cover your mouth as the realisation dawned on you.
Fred nodded, “I didn’t know that you didn’t know.”
“That’s why you asked me if it bothered me when he asked out Kiara, isn’t it?” You suddenly realised, gulping harshly.
Fred nodded again, though a tad more hesitantly than before, “Hey, but listen- I really think he feels the same, if it makes you feel any better! He just doesn’t know it either.”
You moved out of George’s grasp and stood up, pressing your lips together as you looked at Fred, “He’s got a girlfriend, who he’s taking to the Yule Ball and who he adores and they’re probably gonna get married and have kids and I’m going to be alone forever!”
“Hey, that’s not- that won’t happen,” Fred replied, his gaze softening as he saw a tear fall down your cheek. He wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest and stroking your back comfortingly.
“He loves you, I know it. And he knows it too. He just doesn’t know that he knows it.”
***
Ever since your realisation in the early morning, you’d tried your best to act normal around George. It wasn’t easy, and you felt that maybe you were being a little more distant than usual, however you quickly pushed that thought aside as you noticed George being equally - if not more - distant, sitting at the end of the table beside Fred, Kiara on his other side as he whispered things in her ear, making her laugh.
You felt a pang of hurt, one that got worse the longer you stared at them, watching as they kissed, as George stared at her lovingly, as he pushed her long, brown, stupidly perfect hair behind her ear and making her blush.
Sitting on the opposite side of the table, you made yourself look away, instead immersing yourself in the conversation Ron and Harry were having about the Yule Ball.
“This is mad, at this rate we’ll be the only ones in our year without dates!” Ron hissed at Harry as you were all sat in the Great Hall, supposedly studying. You hid a laugh as Snape walked past and pushed his head.
“Well, us and Neville,” he continued with a small laugh. Harry leant over to him, “Yeah but then again, he can take himself.”
“It might interest you to know that Neville has already got someone,” Hermione interrupted their laughing with a frown.
Ron sighed, catching your gaze as you laughed at him - which made him sigh again, “Now I’m really depressed.”
You observed from the other side of the table as Fred threw a piece of parchment over to his younger brother, winking at you when he noticed you watching, as Ron frowned at the words on the page.
Ron handed the parchment back, glancing around to avoid Snape and whispered, “Who are you going with then?”
Fred grabbed the parchment and crumpled it up into a ball, before throwing it at you, the paper bouncing off your shoulder. You looked down at the paper, before meeting Fred’s gaze with a raised eyebrow.
He grinned at you, before miming the Ball, nodding over at you. You rolled your eyes, glancing round for Snape before throwing the parchment back at him, hitting him square in the face and causing half the table to hid their faces as they laughed.
“Well?” He asked, seemingly unfazed by the parchment that was now resting at his feet.
“Yeah, go on then, I suppose,” you whispered, shaking your head at him as he winked at Ron. When all the attention went back to school work, you caught Fred’s gaze again and smiled thankfully.
He saluted playfully, making you laugh, neither one of you noticing George’s frown and clenched fists beside him.
***
You hadn’t seen much of George since Fred had asked you to the Ball, him being too busy spending practically all of his time with Kiara.
It hurt, you had to admit, that he was constantly choosing her over you. Though you assumed it was only natural, what with Kiara being his first proper girlfriend.
Didn’t mean it hurt any less. And the fact you were so used to having George to yourself didn’t help - sometimes turning to ask him something, and then realising he’s not there.
He’d moved seats in class to sit by Kiara, meaning in some classes you were sat with whoever happened to be her previous partner, which therefore meant you were forced to watch as the boy you loved flirted with another girl, his hands constantly on her waist, sneaking kisses when the professor wasn’t looking, and, more often than not, simply not even acknowledging your existence, not even saying a simple ‘hello’.
In other classes you were sat by Fred, who, by all accounts, was actually a pretty good partner, being able to make you laugh and distract you from the show that tore your heart every time you saw it.
In fact, Fred had pretty much mastered exactly how to make you laugh until you cried, his aim in most lessons now, as he hated how sad you were because of his twin.
You were both giggling in the back of the classroom at something he’d said when McGonagall had pointed it out, asking you both to “Please quieten down.”
You bit your lip to muffle your laughing as Fred looked down at you, just happy he could make his friend smile when he knew how much you were hurting.
Much to the dislike of a certain redhead towards the front of the room, who immediately frowned every time he heard your laugh, knowing he wasn’t the one causing it, but his older twin.
His twin who was taking you to the Yule Ball.
George clenched his jaw as he heard you whispering something to Fred, barely being able to focus on anything else.
He knew you and Fred were friends, but since when were you both that close?
***
By the time the Yule Ball arrived, you and George were barely speaking at all. You’d cried about it more times than you’d like to admit, but you had decided that tonight, at the Ball, you would make it a night to remember, not wanting to mope and ruin Fred’s night since he had asked you pretty much as a favour - despite the amount of times he’d insisted he wanted to ask you, you knew he fancied Angelina Johnson, and had things played out differently, you were sure she’d have been the one he’d thrown the parchment at in the hall that day, not you.
Either way, when you’d made your way down the steps to the Great Hall, your dress swirling around you, hair and makeup perfect, Fred made a huge deal of wolf-whistling and complimenting you.
“Well aren’t you bloody gorgeous,” he grinned, taking your hand and bringing it up to his lips to kiss the back of it, “I am one lucky guy.”
“You clean up pretty good too, Weasley,” you grinned, reaching up to straighten out his tie.
George scowled as he watched you with Fred, hating you being in such proximity to his brother, hands clenching and knuckles turning white as he watched Fred kiss the back of your hand. He had to force himself not to run over and shove Fred’s hands away from your waist, as he guided you off to the Hall. He was so distracted by firstly how stunning you looked, and secondly by how forward his brother was being, that he barely even noticed when Kiara had arrived by his side, until she nudged him a little and he forced out a smile.
He complimented the brunette girl, guiding her into the Hall as his hand reached into his pocket, brushing over a box to make sure it was still there.
Fred had been the perfect date all evening. He was a gentlemen - besides the occasional flirty comment - and insisted on staying by your side and dancing, even when you tried to usher him to ask Angelina to dance.
He was just about to give into your insistence with a laugh, when he noticed your expression changed as your attention was taken from him to whatever was going on behind him.
He cursed under his breath as he watched George hold out a small black box to Kiara, who had a huge smile on her face as she took the lid off. She pulled out a necklace, bringing George into a hug immediately, pressing kisses to his face.
Fred stood in front of your view of them, taking your hands in his, “Y/n... I’m sorry. He’s an idiot- he doesn’t know he’s got such a good thing, and wouldn’t know it if you punched him in the face - which, for the record, I think you should do.”
You wiped a stray tear from your eye, forcing yourself not to cry, “He gave her the necklace.”
“I know. I know, but he-“
“No Fred,” you interrupted gently, “He gave her the necklace. That necklace is one I saw when we were in Hogsmeade, and I said I wanted it. He-He even said he’d buy it for me one day! Not that I’d let him but- He bought it for her.”
Fred’s gaze softened, his heart breaking at the sight of your sad face, wrapping his arms around you and swaying a little to the music absent-mindedly.
“I’m sorry,” Fred whispered in your ear. You nodded, leaning against his shoulder, “Not your fault your brother is stupid.”
The song that was playing ended, and Fred grabbed your hand, leading you over to the table where the food and drinks were, pouring you a glass and offering it out to you. You took it gratefully, thanking him before taking a sip.
“Didn’t know you two were that close,” a voice came from behind you. A voice you knew well, one you could pick out anywhere. Fred reached out to squeeze your hand reassuringly, as you placed your glass down, nodding at him before turning around.
“Fred and I have always been good friends. I do have friends, other than you, you know. Which is a good job, considering you’ve been so distant with me,” you replied, focusing on keeping your voice level, rather than on the fact that he’d just given your necklace to his girlfriend.
George felt himself get angry as he noticed yours and Fred’s intertwined hands, swallowing harshly and shoving his hands into his trouser pockets.
“You know I’ve been trying to impress Kiara, being in a relationship takes up time. Not that you’d know, but I thought you’d understand. Didn’t think you’d replace me that quickly,” George retaliated in the midst of his anger, only being able to focus on you and Fred, and how close you were.
“Replaced you?” You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest, “You barely even say hello to me! So yes, I turned to a friend so I wasn’t alone. You’re the one who replaced me! And you gave her the necklace, George. The necklace you knew I wanted. You gave it to her.”
Not waiting for a response, you shot an apologetic glance towards Fred before rushing out of the Hall, suddenly needing some fresh air.
“Look what you did now!” Fred almost growled, before storming out after you, in an attempt to find you.
George took a shaky breath, cursing as he watched the two most important people to him leave.
“George?” A soft voice spoke from beside him.
“Kiara?”
The brunette girl smiled, pressing her lips together as she looked at the ginger, “I um... I think we should break up.”
George frowned, though he was surprised to find he didn’t feel too badly about what she’d said.
The girl held out a black box and placed it into George’s hands, “This should be hers. It’s more her style than mine, I think you know that too.”
The redhead hesitated, unsure of what to say in this situation, “Look, Kiara, I’m sorry-“
“She likes you,” Kiara interrupted him, grinning despite the situation.
“She doesn’t-“
“She does. And you like her. Now go find her.”
With one last hug, and another muttered apology, he nodded determinedly at her, and ran off in the direction of his brother and, he realised now, the girl he truly loved.
***
“It’s okay, I promise. It was always bound to happen right? I was always destined to fall for him, whilst he fell for her. Even if you hadn’t said anything, I would’ve realised. I’m- I’m so stupid, aren’t I? Falling for my best friend,” you let out a broken sob.
“You’re not stupid.”
Your breath hitched in your throat and you swallowed back another sob as you turned around slowly, your eyes catching George’s gaze.
He stood, hair messy as if he’d raked his hands through it a few too many times, tie askew and shirt almost untucked in his haste to run and find you. He felt his heart clench, knowing he was the one to make you feel like this, and stepped forward reaching a hand out towards you as you blinked back tears, allowing him to bring you into his arms as you finally let the tears fall.
You knew you shouldn’t, that you should leave to your dorm, but being in George’s arms had always made you feel safe, made you feel protected.
More tears fell as he whispered sweet nothings into your ear, muttering over and over again how sorry he was. How he was a fool, a git, a complete idiot.
You finally calmed down a little, looking around the empty hallway, not being sure exactly when Fred had disappeared but thankful for the privacy.
You wiped away the last of your tears, cursing mentally as you realise your makeup would be a mess - if the state of George’s shirt was anything to go by.
“Kiara told me you like- I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” he breathed out, a hand cupping your cheek as you blinked up at him.
“Yeah well, you’re stupid. I always knew you were stupid,” you replied with a sad laugh.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” He asked with a frown, his hands moving to hold your waist.
“You never asked. And then you-you got a girlfriend. What was I supposed to do?” You asked quietly.
“I’m in love with you,” George said suddenly, earnestly, genuinely as he held you against him.
“Not Kiara?”
He shook his head quickly, “She knew I liked you before I knew I liked you. Maybe I am stupid.”
“Maybe you are,” you let out a watery laugh, looking away from his gaze.
George suddenly reached into his pocket and brought out a familiar box, “This is yours. I don’t know what I was thinking, giving it to her. It’s yours - it’s always been yours.”
He opened the box, taking out the necklace you loved so much, and offering you a sheepish smile, “It’s not a good enough apology, I know. But I’m hoping it’s a start.”
He gently turned you around, placing the necklace around your neck, you shivering at the feel of his fingers brushing against your skin, before turning you back around to face him, this time much closer than before, his forehead resting against yours.
“So, and correct me if I’m wrong,” he spoke as he leant forward a little more, his lips almost touching yours, “Does this mean that I like you and you like me and we both don’t think of each other as friends?”
You nodded a little, offering him a soft smile, “I don’t want to be friends, George,” you whispered just as his lips brushed your own, “I wanna be yours.”

Johnny Suh Teases Y/N L/N While Eating Spicy Wings
SEAN: Hey, what’s going on everybody? For ‘First We Feast’, I’m Sean Evans, and you’re watching Hot Ones!
the camera angles shifts from sean to a shot of the table. he is sitting across johnny and y/n, who are smiling at each other while sean introduces the video. they quickly break their gaze and look at sean.
SEAN: It’s the show with hot questions, and even hotter wings.
the camera pans directly to johnny and y/n.
Y/N: *whispering, excited* He said the thing, oh my gosh.
SEAN: Today we are joined by Johnny Suh and Y/N L/N!
the video cuts to photos of johnny.
SEAN, VOICEOVER: He rose to fame through his YouTube channel and his acting career took off through a number of indie films. Since then, he has been the face of several Hollywood blockbusters.
the video cuts to photos of y/n.
SEAN, VOICEOVER: She’s an Emmy award winning actress well-known for a number of TV roles—most notably for her starring role in the HBO series, ‘Obsession.’
the video cuts to photos of them both.
SEAN, VOICEOVER: Their latest work is the critically acclaimed film, ‘Day Dream,’ currently in theatres.
the video cuts to the camera pointed at johnny and y/n.
SEAN: Y/N L/N, Johnny Suh, welcome to the show.
Y/N: Thank you for having us.
JOHNNY: Thank you, we’re happy to be here!
the camera shifts to a shot of the table. johnny sits on the outside, but y/n’s chair is pulled very close to his. their arms are practically overlapped.
SEAN: I’m excited, viewers are excited—we’ve had so many requests to have you two on the show.
y/n beams, excitedly gesturing between herself and the table with her hands. johnny stares at her, smiling.
Y/N: It’s literally a dream come true—I love this show, I’ve seen all the episodes—I feel like this is the true mark of success.
JOHNNY: She’s been talking about this nonstop since we found out we’d be on.
y/n swats his arm.
SEAN: It’s okay—we’re all stoked to have you here! But the question is: can you two handle the spice?
JOHNNY: I’m pretty confident about it.
Y/N: That isn’t saying much, you’re confident about everything…
JOHNNY: She actually really loves spicy food. She can handle it.
Y/N: I do love it…but I’m not trying to fuck it up by saying I’m good at managing it, though.
SEAN: Well, I have a feeling you two will do great.
it cuts to the intro—shots of the hot sauce bottles, as well as the logo for the show.
the camera is back on y/n and johnny.
JOHNNY: Ready?
Y/N: Always.
the two tap their wings together, as if clinking glasses, and take bites.
the hot sauce and its spice level is shown.
JOHNNY: Shit, these are really good. Nice flavor.
Y/N: Can I eat the whole thing? I’m hungry.
SEAN: Yeah, of course.
johnny laughs at y/n proceeding to dig into the wing.
SEAN: So, you two are very successful at a young age. Johnny, you’ve been vlogging for years, and Y/N, you got your start with small roles in TV shows, and now have an Emmy. Are you surprised about how quickly you achieved so much in the span of a few years?
johnny nods at y/n, letting her go first, smiling fondly at her and watching. the camera pans to y/n.
Y/N: Y’know… yeah. *laughs* I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t absolutely insane and overwhelming. I went from a few lines in shows to starting an HBO series? With a fucking Emmy? I never expected to get that role or any of this and I’m still confused about it. Acting… all this, it’s my life. It’s what I’ve wanted since I was a kid, and I’m so, so grateful for how far I’ve come. *laughs* I don’t know how anyone let me get here, though.
JOHNNY: *exasperated* Oh, c’mon, Y/N. You’re a star.
SEAN: It’s definitely well deserved. Johnny?
the camera settles on johnny, who pulls his gaze away from y/n to look at sean. y/n keeps her eyes on johnny, a soft expression on her face.
JOHNNY: I started out just as a kid with a camera. I grew up wanting to act, wanting to sing, and being very into photography and visuals. My channel started out as me just talking or doing stuff with my friends and it grew bigger than I could’ve imagined. I’m beyond lucky for how far I’ve come—and to get to direct and produce a lot of my projects is great.
SEAN: Speaking of, my next question for you is actually about your experience in the production of films. How does directing and producing have an affect on you now as an actor? Even for projects like ‘Day Dream,’ where you aren’t taking a role in production.
johnny runs a hand through his hair, nodding.
JOHNNY: *pauses then laughs* Shit, did I get sauce in my hair? I hope I didn’t.
y/n leans closer to him, and he lowers his head to her level. she runs his fingers through his hair, and shakes her head.
Y/N: Nah, you’re good.
SEAN: Just be careful around the eyes!
Y/N: *fangirling* AH, I knew you were going to say that—fuck, sorry… big fan.
SEAN: *laughing* You’ve seen a bit, then?
Y/N: Totally. Oh, sorry Johnny—interrupted.
JOHNNY: Don’t you always?
johnny laughs, and y/n pouts in response.
JOHNNY: Just messing around, don’t worry. But, yeah, I actually like this question a lot. Honestly, it gives a whole other dimension to the experience. I think that we—as actors—always invest love and care into our work because we want it to be the best it can be. We all come in wanting to do well for not only ourselves but for production. Like, we already know how big of a job it is for them, how hard it is but when you’ve been there, it’s different. You start to look at things you wouldn’t notice before and it’s almost like you’re hyper-aware of many more facets of shooting than you normally would think about—and I don’t think that’s a bad thing.
Y/N: *musing* No, it’s not.
JOHNNY: It gives you more drive.
SEAN: Totally. And I’ve seen your work— you’ve pulled off so many different roles, but I think how you executed the filmmaking was even more impressive.
JOHNNY: *grinning* Thanks, man. That means a lot.
the next sauce is shown, as well as it’s scoville level.
the camera cuts back to them, biting into the wings.
Y/N: I don’t taste much of a difference in the sauce…is my palate broken?
JOHNNY: Wouldn’t be surprised… weirdo.
Y/N: Oh, fuck off.
SEAN: It creeps up on you, but then it piles on all at once.
Y/N: Are you even fazed by it anymore, Sean?
SEAN: You’d think I’m more used to the hotter ones, but it still gets me sometimes.
Y/N: It doesn’t show.
johnny looks over at y/n’s wing and scoffs, jokingly.
JOHNNY: Damn, Y/N, at least clean the bone better.
Y/N: *frowning* I don’t wanna mess up my makeup.
SEAN: So, Y/N, this is your first movie. How does the filming differ from TV—is it any harder or easier? Do you have a preference and how have you felt through the process?
Y/N: It’s not that different—for me, anyway, I don’t know what others might say. I was so stoked to get this, especially because the concept for the film is pretty different to most of the romcoms I’ve seen in the past. Not as cheesy—it feels like a real romance. In fact, it felt—well, not easier, because, like, with ‘Obsession’ I’m so comfortable with my role and my cast but it was kind of the same here. Being with Johnny was great because I’ve known him for so long and it felt natural to be working with him.
johnny is, yet again, staring and smiling at her. you can almost see the hearts in his eyes.
SEAN: Johnny, did you feel similarly?
JOHNNY: *snapping out of it to look at sean* Of course. Y/N’s been in my life for what seems like forever and I was even more excited about taking the role when I found out she’d be doing it with me. She said it best—it was natural.
the next sauce is shown.
they all bite into the wings.
SEAN: How we feelin’?
Y/N: This one’s got a ‘lil kick to it, but it’s still pretty mild. I love this flavor.
JOHNNY: Yeah, this one’s my favorite so far, flavor-wise.
SEAN: We have some for you guys to take home, don’t worry.
Y/N: Oh, you’re the best.
SEAN: Kind of going off where we were, the internet is raving about your chemistry.
the two laugh, y/n looking slightly shy.
SEAN: You mentioned it was easy to star together, given your friendship. Was there anything, though, that was particularly hard?
unseen on the camera, johnny rests his hand on y/n’s thigh under the table, in a casual manner. she stiffens slightly, then relaxes as he speaks.
JOHNNY: For this project, I mean, Y/N was perfect. She executed the role of Audrey beautifully and when you have someone who just knows exactly how to play their part, it makes shooting feel more immersive and intimate. She’s just perfect.
Y/N: *beaming* I feel the same about you—you played Chris flawlessly.
johnny thanks her, and rubs circles onto her thigh with his thumb.
Y/N: For my first film, I’m beyond happy I got to do it with him. He’s been in my life for years, like, we met when we were twenty, and I just felt… everything was, like, comfortable, and easy, and safe. Gotta be real, though, the sex scenes were weird.
SEAN: *laughing* Oh?
JOHNNY: *bewildered* Are we going there?
Y/N: *shrugs* I mean… is that okay? Can I not say that?
SEAN: No, you can. We don’t bleep cussing on here, so I think it’s fine.
Y/N: I won’t share all the gory details.
JOHNNY: I don’t mind.
johnny is smirking, and looking intently at y/n. she tries not to falter under his gaze.
Y/N: *laughs* It was just kind of bizarre to see him like that? I mean, it’s my job, it wasn’t a big deal, I kept my professionalism, but was it strange? Absolutely.
y/n laughs nervously.
JOHNNY: I didn’t think it was that weird.
Y/N: *sarcastic* Yeah, okay. For real, though, it was my first sex scene, I was nervous, and he made me feel protected and comfortable… *quietly, cutely* Thank you for that.
JOHNNY: *fondly* You’re welcome. Yeah, I’m messing around, it was a little odd…but my goal was to make her comfortable. Our crew is great, of course, but it’s notoriously harder for women in the industry than it is for men. I care about her, I just want her to be okay.
SEAN: It really is. I’m glad you two were comfortable during all that.
y/n is looking down, biting her lip as she smiles.
the next sauce shows up on screen.
the camera shows the table as they all take a bite.
Y/N: Ooh.
johnny and sean laugh.
SEAN: Is this one harder?
JOHNNY: It’s a bit hotter.
Y/N: Nothing unmanageable, though. It’s kind of… fruity?
SEAN: It has mango in it.
JOHNNY: I think it really adds to it, it’s nice.
SEAN: So, something I wanna ask you two is about music. Johnny, I know you’re a great singer, and have been interested in music for a long time, being in musicals. And Y/N, you’ve contributed songs to the ‘Obsession’ soundtrack— you’re very musically talented as well. Tell me—do either of you have any musical plans for the future? And who has inspired you, musically?
JOHNNY: *laughing* Thanks, man, I appreciate that. Uh, honestly, I grew up listening to such a wide range of music. I definitely have plans to create my own music down the line… but I can’t really say when. I’m focused on acting right now, y’know? But it’ll be sooner than you think. As far as musical influences… God, it’s all over the place.
Y/N: You love Coldplay.
JOHNNY: Yeah, they’re my favorite artist. I like so many genres… *absentminded* Y/N showed me a lot of stuff, too.
y/n grins, patting johnny’s hand.
Y/N: Yeah! We would just share airpods between takes and listen to music… It was nice.
SEAN: I heard you two also fell asleep a lot on set.
they both laugh hard.
Y/N: We did—it was like a running joke. Jaehyun and Yerim—they were also in the film—always took pictures and teased us.
johnny laughs again.
Y/N: Oh! Yeah, to answer your question… to be honest, I was surprised that they asked me to do a song. I knew Kyungsoo would be—I mean, everyone’s heard his voice. He’s a god, he’s good at fuckin’ everything. But I think he, Jongin and Sehun tattled on me to the execs, because they heard me singing in my trailer. I work with such assholes. *laughs* I’m joking… but, yeah! It was pretty cool… I didn’t even know I was capable of sounding that good. I don’t wanna sound like I’m bragging—I was just surprised when I heard the track. And people liked it! I would definitely consider—
johnny is staring intently at y/n, who has sauce on the corner of her mouth. while she’s speaking, he reaches out to grab her chin with one hand and uses the thumb on his other hand to wipe the sauce. sean feels as if he’s interrupting a private moment, and y/n falters, cutting off.
Y/N: *speaking to johnny as if the two are in their own little word* -did I have sauce?
johnny licks the thumb with the sauce on it, casually, nodding.
JOHNNY: Yeah, just a little.
SEAN: *laughing* Do you like this one that much?
JOHNNY: *smiling, speaking lowly* Yeah it has… a nice flavor. *his demeanor changes quickly, smoothly, his tone becoming light-hearted* It’ll probably get worse from here though, right?
y/n is internally malfunctioning, but masks it. it worsens when he places his hand back secretly on her thigh. her heart is hammering in her chest and she resists the urge to aggressively bounce her leg. she’s SO into him, and he’s fueling the flame. unbeknownst to her, he is definitely flirting.
SEAN: Most definitely.
the fifth sauce pops up, as well as the scoville level.
they all take bites, and y/n smiles.
Y/N: Yeahhh, y’know, this one is… hot.
SEAN: Are you doing okay?
Y/N: Oh, hell yeah. It’s good. All of these have such great flavors—I’m excited to take the sauces home.
JOHNNY: I know she’s gonna cook something with it as soon as she gets home.
SEAN: You’ll have to send me what you do. You like to cook?
JOHNNY: *quickly, beating y/n to answering* Dude, she’s an amazing cook.
Y/N: *embarassed* I’m okay… I really love to cook though. *laughing* Wife me up.
johnny smiles slightly at that.
Y/N: One of our friends, he’s a rapper, Mark Lee?
SEAN: Yeah! He’s great, I’ve met him.
JOHNNY: I love that kid.
Y/N: Yeah, I’m pissed at him. He was noticed by Gordon Ramsey.
johnny is cracking up, and sean smiles.
SEAN: I think I heard about that.
Y/N: Yeah, a fan tweeted a picture of Mark’s shitty scrambled eggs at him, saying it was her boyfriend. And he fucking told her to break up with him. *laughing hard* I mean, I’m just jealous, because I love Gordon Ramsey and would love to be noticed by him.
SEAN: Gordon, if you’re watching this, Y/N is dying to meet you.
y/n shakes her head, shy.
JOHNNY: She’s too much of a shy little wimp for that.
Y/N: Is today shit on Y/N day? Goddamn…
SEAN: So, we have a segment on the show we like to call ‘Explain That Gram’. Basically, we just take pictures from your Instagram that need more context.
Y/N: I love this.
a staff member brings a laptop to sean.
SEAN: We’ll start with Johnny?
JOHNNY: Bring it.
the screen shows a photo from johnny’s instagram. y/n and johnny can be heard laughing their asses off at the picture shown.
Tumblr media
SEAN, VOICEOVER: So, this is you and Ten Lee, the dancer and model, who you’re close friends with. Can you explain *laughs* what’s going on here?
the screen goes back to the camera pointed at johnny. he’s laughing with his head in his hands and y/n is suppressing her laughter.
JOHNNY: *clearing his throat and composing himself* Yeah, so that’s Ten. *he laughs more*
Y/N: God, I love Ten. I miss him.
JOHNNY: Yeah, he’s great. One of my very best friends. So basically, I was visiting him at his home in Thailand. He was supposed to come to Chicago, actually, but his schedule got packed at the last moment. But I had an idea to take photos in front of a greenscreen, wear ‘I Love Chicago’ shirts, and put images of city landmarks behind us.
Y/N: That doesn’t look like Chicago, John.
JOHNNY: Well, that one’s a wave. That one was just funny.
a photo of from y/n’s instagram is shown on screen. once again, they all burst out laughing.
Tumblr media
SEAN, VOICEOVER: Here you are, wearing a dinosaur head. Could you give the context?
the camera is on y/n.
Y/N: *smiling* God, my face hurts… fuck, you know how to pick them, huh?
SEAN: That’s the game!
Y/N: Uh, well, Johnny actually took this photo.
JOHNNY: *grinning* Yup.
Y/N: You see, what happened was… we were in Walmart with our friend Seulgi, and I found a dinosaur head. And because I’m a literal child, I thought it would be hilarious to pretend to be a dinosaur and chase them around. It was an action shot.
another photo pops up on screen, again from y/n’s instagram.
Tumblr media
SEAN, VOICEOVER: Here you two are getting on a plane. Can I ask what you’re doing here, Johnny?
the camera pans to johnny, who is grinning.
JOHNNY: We were actually boarding the plane to go visit my parents in Chicago. It was a few days after we wrapped up filming—
Y/N: —I have to interject before he lies about what was really happening. Here is concrete proof that Johnny bullies me. Little shit.
JOHNNY: *staring into the camera* I was not bullying her. She was already making us late, and I was trying to board the plane, not pose for selfies.
Y/N: … Honestly, all I heard was you saying you were bullying me.
SEAN: *laughing* You were running late, Y/N?
JOHNNY: She’s always running late.
Y/N: Well— *hesitates* unfortunately, I can’t dispute that.
both johnny and sean laugh, as does the crew behind the cameras.
JOHNNY: That’s why she has me. I keep her on time.
Y/N: I don’t know why I keep you—pain in my ass. *she smiles, despite herself*
JOHNNY: We keep getting sidetracked. *laughs* But, yeah, we were going to stay with my parents for a week in Chicago. It was really great.
SEAN: You’re from Chicago, originally, right?
JOHNNY: Yup! Born and raised. I spent some summers in Korea, and I’ve always had a connection there—it’s where my parents grew up, it’s where they met, where my family is—but Chicago is always gonna be my true home.
Y/N: Honestly, it’s great there. I always have the time of my life when I visit—especially because Mr. and Mrs. Suh are amazing. I love them to death, and I’m always so grateful for how welcoming and loving they are.
they move on to the sixth sauce.
Y/N: So, this one is making my lips tingle. Not bad, though.
JOHNNY: Ooh, yeah, that’s a little bit hotter. ‘S good.
SEAN: So, let’s talk about ‘Day Dream’. The film, as well as your characters, Audrey and Chris, and their journey through love, mental illness, and success has been captivating audiences worldwide. What drew you two to the film? Did you feel connected to your characters, and were there any parts of the film that were particularly hard to film?
Y/N: You first.
JOHNNY: As soon as my manager explained the premise and Chris’ character, I was hooked. Of course, I didn’t understand the complexity and intensity of our characters yet—but something was instantly so interesting and captivating. *he pauses* Chris was challenging for me—in a good way, of course. We have this guy who has so much going for him—but so much more holding him back. He’s really… going through it. He’s got serious, intense OCD, as well as depression. I didn’t want to fuck up my portrayal of him, or OCD, so I did a lot of research, and I reached out to people with OCD. I learned a lot. Honestly, though, he’s suffering. He’s struggling, and he wants someone to hold him together. He makes finding love his priority, he tries to make it the answer, to make Audrey the answer. He invests everything in her. I just wanted to make his mindset, his genuine and pure love for her… I wanted it to feel as real and human as it is, and for people to understand why he does what he does, why he says what he says. I’m being a little vague— *laughs* I just don’t want to spoil it. But, yeah, Chris is very important to me. I was absolutely honored to play him.
SEAN: It was very, very evident that you put thought and love into him, and to the film. I think you pulled it off seamlessly, Johnny.
JOHNNY: Thank you, man.
Y/N: *nudging him, reminding* Were there any parts harder to film than others?
JOHNNY: Oh, right! Sorry… ugh, I don’t want to spoil anything.
SEAN: You don’t have to answer it if you’re concerned about spoiling.
JOHNNY: Okay. Well, if you’ve seen the film, or even if you haven’t… there’s a scene near the end, where Chris is alone… you’ll know what I’m talking about. It was difficult.
SEAN: Y/N?
Y/N: Okay. *she exhales* Hopefully I can articulate this well. I was attracted to the film for the same reasons as Johnny. But… what really did it for me was reading the monologue I was given for my audition. I don’t wanna say what it is, since I guess we are a spoiler-free zone, but it was so raw and real. I just fell in love with Audrey, I really did. She’s an aspiring novelist, and she truly loves writing, and words, and feeling. Maybe it’s also one of her biggest flaws… but she can’t bring herself to write a feeling she doesn’t understand. That’s, like, her thing. Every emotion—every smile, every tear, she has to have felt it for it to mean something. That’s what broke my heart. Life has just beat her to death, and on top of everything she’s been through, after how numb she has been for most of her life, it’s like she craves that sort of pain, the heartbreak. She falls in love easily, and she wants the impending heartbreak as much as she fears it. She wants her muse. She wants someone to give her the pain she wants to write about. It’s really fucked up. But she meets Chris, and she invests her mind, her body, her soul into him—and she doesn’t know what she wants anymore. She’s as real to me as anyone else. She’s fucked up, she’s brilliant, she’s lovable, she’s mean, she’s extremely flawed—and I just love her for that. I didn’t want to just play her… I wanted to be her, to immerse myself in who she is. I want people to watch the film and forget they’re watching a film. I want them to live it, and for them to know and love Chris and Audrey the way we do.
JOHNNY: You made my response sound bad.
Y/N: Oh, shut up.
SEAN: You’re obviously very passionate about them—and it shows on screen, as well. I don’t imagine it’s easy to portray those situations, for either of you, but I can’t tell you enough how amazing you two did.
Y/N: Thank you so much. Awwh—I’m really touched by that.
JOHNNY: It means so much. We put our heart and souls into this.
SEAN: You’re welcome! It’s honestly Oscar worthy, in my eyes.
Y/N: Oh my God—I can’t even think about that… never in a million years would I think about getting an Oscar. John, though, I can see.
JOHNNY: *scoffs* You’re insane. You deserve one—Miss Emmy award.
she sticks her tongue out at him, and he smiles adoringly at her.
SEAN: Ready for the next sauce?
they move on to the next sauce.
Y/N: *biting into the wing, mouth full* Oh, fuck.
SEAN: Bad?
Y/N: *shaking head* No, just a… strange flavor? Not bad, but different.
SEAN: You two are really good with this stuff—usually people are sweating a bit by now.
JOHNNY: I grew up with spice. Korean food is hot.
SEAN: So, Y/N, I wanted to talk a little more about ‘Obsession’.
Y/N: Go for it.
SEAN: Rumor has it that filming for season three is coming up… can you confirm that?
Y/N: I don’t know if I can confirm it, but I will. *laughs* We’re supposed to do a read-through in a few weeks and I am scared shitless.
SEAN: Why is that?
JOHNNY: Can I just say—she regularly spoils the show for me. I’m scared shitless, as well, because I don’t want her to drop any bombs on me.
Y/N: *pouting, whiny* But Johnny, my mom gets mad if I spoil it.... and you’re my best friend.
johnny rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
SEAN: You’re notorious for spoiling—I’m surprised you haven’t spoiled the movie in this.
JOHNNY: I made her promise not to.
Y/N: Yeah. But, uh, I’m nervous about what the fuck is going to happen this season. I stay in close contact with production, and… I’ve heard it’s going to be insane. I love playing Mina, I love her to death… so I’m, like, fearing for her life and well-being. We all know Jongin’s character, Kai, is fucking stalking her, and she’s just… oblivious. It’s scary. And last season we started to find out about Kyungsoo’s character, D.O., and the skeletons in his closet…
SEAN: The show definitely doesn’t shy away from the disturbing.
Y/N: Right! It’s part of why I love it… even though it can get insane and terrifying, it’s addicting. And, God, it’s so crazy how well Kyungsoo and Jongin play their parts. It’s almost weird how Jongin is so good at what he does—especially since he doesn’t have a background in acting. It’s a challenging role.
SEAN: I agree—it’s very chilling at times. As for Mina, she seems very different from you.
Y/N: Oh, one hundred percent. She’s vulnerable in a way that I’m not familiar with, in a way that very few people are. Sometimes I wish I could shake her by the shoulders, because she’s an idiot, she’s purposely continuing to fuck up her life, and I want her to realize her worth… and to stop wasting her time with Kai. D.O. is better, even though he’s also batshit—and I can’t rave enough about Kyungsoo, my God. He’s a dream. He’s helped me adjust to the success, and helps me with my performance… We all know how perfect he is.
johnny had been listening intently the entire time, but frowned slightly when y/n raved about kyungsoo. his jealousy is shown on camera, albeit subtly.
SEAN: You know, we’ve had so many requests for you two on the show, as well. Jongin and Sehun as well.
Y/N: I never want to do an interview with Sehun—he’s a little shit and I refuse to compliment him. He bullies me more than Johnny does.
JOHNNY: *grinning* She’s lying, she loves him.
y/n shakes her head at the camera.
the next sauce is shown.
Y/N: Oh, this one is your sauce!
SEAN: Yeah, it’s one we made for this season. Ready?
they all bite into the wings.
JOHNNY: Oh, God… *he grabs his water and takes a sip*
y/n is coughing and has her nose scrunched.
SEAN: You guys okay?
Y/N: This hurts.
JOHNNY: Yeah, uh, this one is a bit of a leap.
y/n goes to scratch beside her eye, but johnny notices and quickly grabs her hand.
SEAN: Your eyes!
Y/N: *eyes wide* Oh, God, thank you… that would have been bad.
JOHNNY: Dummy.
SEAN: Johnny, you’re one of the most followed Instagram users in the world. On top of Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter, fans have been requesting you join TikTok.
y/n is giggling.
JOHNNY: God, they really have.
SEAN: Any plans for that? Or is YouTube enough for you right now?
JOHNNY: Honestly, I’m not that big of a fan of TikTok. Y/N sends me a lot of them, but that’s really it. I don’t have an account. So, honestly, probably not.
Y/N: You don’t watch all of the ones I send you…
JOHNNY: You send me about twenty a day.
Y/N: And?
SEAN: *laughs* Well, you’re obviously popular on the other platforms.
JOHNNY: The Instagram thing blows my mind.
Y/N: Oh, please… you always stop for pictures. You’re all about your daily fits.
JOHNNY: Because I’m fashionable.
SEAN: Yeah, I was going to ask about that. You’ve done a few fashion shows, and you’re an ambassador for Saint Laurent. You’ve expressed interest in creating your own clothing line, as well. Were you serious about that?
JOHNNY: Oh, yeah. I would love to be able to have my own line… fashion has always been something I’ve been interested in, and I enjoy styling my outfits, as well as my friends’.
Y/N: He helps me. I have a horrible sense of fashion.
JOHNNY: You’re not that bad.
Y/N: Eh.
SEAN: You’ve made headlines just because of your street style.
JOHNNY: *laughs* Yeah, that’s… something. Honestly, though, maybe in a few years… I’d love to have my own line. I’m also honored to be a Saint Laurent ambassador—they’ve been one of my favorite brands for years.
SEAN: You’re really a jack of all trades—Youtuber, influencer, actor, singer, and model. Is there anything you can’t do?
Y/N: I can answer that—no. He’s infuriatingly perfect.
JOHNNY: *teasing* Awwh, babe, you’re so sweet.
he caresses her cheek, and y/n is screaming on the inside.
Y/N: I take it back.
the ninth sauce is introduced.
Y/N: Fucking hell.
she begins to cough, and fan her face. the sauce is nearly unbearable. johnny breaths out, eyes wide and staring at the table. he also coughs a bit.
SEAN: You okay?
JOHNNY: Yeah, this sucks. This is hot as fuck, holy shit.
y/n is still silent, and begins to chug her entire glass of water.
SEAN: Y/N?
Y/N: I’m good. I’m fine. I got it.
JOHNNY: *concerned* You sure, love?
once again, y/n is flustered. this time, she’s bad at hiding it. she blames it on the spice.
Y/N: U-uh, yeah… *gets a grip on herself, waves him off* Yeah. Don’t worry ‘bout it.
she is clearly still affected, whereas johnny has already tackled the intensity of the spice.
SEAN: I’m curious—are there any genres of film that you two want to try? And do you two want to work on another project together?
johnny looks over at y/n, a slight crease in his brow. worried.
Y/N: Um, my mouth hurts. You go first, mm?
johnny squeezes her thigh under the table and pushes his water towards her.
JOHNNY: Of course I’d want to work with her again. That’s my Y/N—I feel like we bring the best out of each other, and, again, I love working with her. As for things I’d want to try… *he trails off, his mind definitely on things he wants to try… but not in relation to the question. he pushes his hair back with his wrist* I think It’d be fun to do a crime movie. I’m obviously fond of doing dramas and musicals, as well as coming-of-age movies, but playing a criminal would be fun.
SEAN: I didn’t expect that! I can see it, though.
JOHNNY: Yeah, I’d like to do something like Robert Pattinson in ‘Good Time’.
SEAN: I think you could pull that off. Y/N, you doing okay?
Y/N: *smiles* Yeah, sorry! Just had to get used to it. Uh… yeah, me too—working with Johnny again, I mean. Of course—he’s my guy. Working with him is the best. And… ooh, honestly, I want to be in a horror movie, or a thriller! I like psychological thrillers, and I love scary movies… very open to that. *laughs* John, we should do a movie like Zac Efron and Lily Collins… what was it? The Bundy movie.
SEAN: That’d be interesting.
JOHNNY: Hell yeah.
the final sauce is displayed.
y/n has her head in her hands, stressed, and johnny has moved his hand from her thigh to her back.
JOHNNY: C’mon, it’ll be okay.
SEAN: We’re almost done! You’ve done really great so far.
Y/N: *sighs* Shit’s hot, dude… fuck it, let’s get it over wwith.
the guys laugh as y/n hurriedly bites into the wing. they follow. johnny has a funny expression on as he swallows.
JOHNNY: Goddamn… this hurts. *he coughs*
SEAN: Yeah, this one is pretty bad.
y/n has her head completely down on the table, but with one elbow propped up, sauce still on her fingers. you can hear her moaning in pain.
JOHNNY: Here, drink some water.
he grabs her and sits her up, gently, but laughs at her pained expression.
Y/N: I hate this. Do we have milk?
SEAN: Yeah, we’ll get you some.
she coughs, johnny rubbing her back, and reaches for the glass of milk. he still seems collected.
SEAN: You got it, Y/N.
y/n is chugging the milk and giving a thumbs up. johnny smiles at her.
SEAN: So, we got deep with some of these questions.
JOHNNY: You’re a hell of an interviewer.
Y/N: *still pained, but smiling* I don’t know what you lace things wings with to get us this deep. We talked a lot.
SEAN: All good answers though! So, for this last one, it’s not really a question—anything you guys want to say to each other or to the cameras? Anything, the floor is yours.
the two look at each other, silently asking a question. johnny smiles, but it quickly turns to an intense stare. y/n’s eyes widen, confused. he can’t look at her like that.
Y/N: *nervous* What?
JOHNNY: *puts a hand on y/n’s cheek and leans in, almost smiling at her flustered expression* Y/N…
y/n bursts out laughing, but is equally terrified. her heart is beating out of her chest. sean internally feels like he is interrupting something again.
JOHNNY: I just wanted to tell you… it’s something I’ve wanted to say for years. Something that—fuck, this’ll probably change everything. I just need to tell you, get this off my chest.
y/n is panicking and fails at masking it. she looks over at the cameras, genuinely baffled. they’re doing an interview, what was he doing?
Y/N: Johnny, what-?
JOHNNY: When we were at that hotel with Jaehyun and Sooyoung—a few years back, remember? You lost your room key and got locked out, and I told you I didn’t have it, but I was lying. I took it on purpose to fuck with you.
y/n is gaping, completely at a loss. sean laughs, also shocked. johnny is laughing his ass off.
Y/N: I… you fucking bitch.
SEAN: You really had me going there.
Y/N: Edit this out. I have nothing to say to this asshole.
JOHNNY: *innocently* What did I do?
Y/N: *ignoring him, turning to the camera, smiling* Anyway, thank you for watching us! ‘Day Dream’ is out in theatres, and we really hope you’ll go see it. We put our all into it, as did the other cast members and the crew, and I know you all will enjoy it!
JOHNNY: Yeah, please go see it, you won’t be disappointed.
johnny smiles at the camera, and then y/n who rolls her eyes and shoves him, though she is unable to suppress her smile.
the logo appears on screen and the video ends.

to have and to hold | juri vips
summary: Juri Vips was a bastard of a teammate. Mostly just because you were insanely in love with him and his flirtatious ways. Juri senses a change in your behaviour and when things begin going back to normal, Juri just fucks it up again. (Similar premise to the Mr & Mrs imagine with Liam, but different[?])
word count: 2894
warnings: swearing, still. i don't think i should have to put warnings about swearing anymore, it's basically a given.
Tumblr media
Working with Juri Vips was a fucking trainwreck. There was no light way to put it, it was messy, it was painful, and yet you could never stop fucking staring at him. Being his teammate in F2 for the past year and a half, the two of you had gotten quite close, to the point where his family invited you on vacation with them when they were going, and you had joined them once, but realised about two hours in, that it was a thinly veiled attempt from literally his entire family to get the two of you together.
And while you were all for it, being forced to spend so much time with Juri, while he was shirtless nonetheless, was a literal dream come true, it was also incredibly painful for you to stop from pouncing on him at any given moment. Because as much as his family thought there was something between you, it was purely Juri’s charisma and character to be almost constantly flirting with you.
You remember the first time the two of you, a few other F2 drivers had come along as well, had gone to the beach and he had seen you bust out the bikini you knew made you look like a hot piece, he hadn’t shut up about it, or you, for weeks afterwards.
“Well look at you, little miss supermodel. I would have thought you’d be walking catwalks with legs like that, not pushing pedals like the rest of us. God, you look like you just stepped out of my dreams and onto this beach. If you keep looking like that, I think I might have a problem to deal with later in the shower.” He had hollered, and many of the guys around you either joined in or had nothing to say but gawk. Juri’s comments had cemented themselves in your brain however, calling back upon them whenever you felt less than top dollar, which you had to admit was becoming more often in recent months.
Juri had noticed your slowly waning confidence, of course he had. His gorgeous view of you in crop tops, little skirts, and tight shorts had turned into oversized shorts, hoodies, and ill-fitting jeans. All of which still made you the most beautiful girl in the world, but there was something missing from your aura, a general happiness that had been lacking since the new season started a few months ago. In the entire time Juri had known you, you were never one to listen to other’s opinions of you, whether they be good or bad, the only people you had ever listened to and taken words to heart from were himself, your parents, and your boyfriend.
Somehow in the span of about three minutes, Juri had tracked the four most likely culprits of your diminished ego. He knew he hadn’t said anything harmful or damaging to you since the season began, as many of your conversations had revolved around racing, other drivers in the paddock, or your family. Your parents, he was confident in, he had met them many times before, and they were always genuinely warm and welcoming, he supposed there might have been another side to them, though he believed he would have picked up on it by now. Which leaves only your boyfriend, whom Juri had zero confidence in.
Tye was nice, almost disgustingly so, but he was also much too proud of being nice for it to be genuine. He would open car doors for you, give you flowers every few months, and once bought you a necklace with a pendant of his name. But you would never forget that he did those things for you, because as soon as you would mention something relatively negative, those few acts of kindness were shoved down your throat.
Juri, of course, was not privy to that information. All he knew was that Tye’s possessive behaviour and complete lack of care for your wishes meant that there was something beneath the surface Juri was sure was the reason for your confidence, or lack thereof.
So when you came into work one day, to continue shooting some videos for the YouTube channel, wearing a gorgeously fitted pair of jeans, and a halter-neck singlet, Juri knew something was afoot. Also notable was your lack of gold necklace and your beaming smile toward the Estonian.
“You gonna keep staring like that, or do you want to take a photo?” You asked, your voice holding the teasing lilt Juri had missed in the past weeks. Without breaking his gaze from your body, Juri reached into the pocket of his shorts, his hand retrieving his phone and taking a photo of you standing there, tight clothes and bright smile in all its glory. He smirked when he saw your barely concealed smile.
“You’re in a much better mood than usual. What happened?” Juri couldn’t help but ask, the drastic shift in your mood was more than intriguing to him. Your smile widened, taking the last few steps toward his position in a chair behind the large conference table.
“I lost 80 kilos last night.” You whispered, leaning in closer to Juri, the glint in your eyes, the proximity and the tone were all so familiar to him that he couldn’t help but meet you halfway, barely three inches between your faces as the words processed in his mind.
Juri glanced down at your body confusedly, trying to figure out where exactly the 80kg had disappeared from. Then, the pieces began clicking into place. The lack of gold necklace, the tighter clothes, the glowing smile, none of which would have been staring Juri in the face if Tye had a say.
“You dumped Tye?” Juri questioned, his eyes lighting up, his raise in volume betraying just how excited he was for you, and himself. You nodded, eyes softening as you watched the pure joy cross Juri’s face. Him being happy was something that always warmed your heart, but Juri being happy about you finally being happy? You were sure your knees were about to buckle.
“I’m glad. I can have you all to myself now.” Juri grumbled, reaching for your hands that were braced against the arms of his chair. With a sharp tug, your balance was offset, and your body was tumbling toward Juri’s. You landed with a giggle in Juri’s lap, his own laughter joining yours and the two of you simply enjoyed each other’s presence after having an intangible wall built between you during your relationship with Tye.
Juri couldn’t hold a taken woman like he loved her, not when that taken woman wasn’t his to hold. And you, how could you revel in the feel of man’s touch that was anyone’s but the man you supposedly loved. You couldn’t break out in goosebumps, or have a shiver roll down your spine when you felt the familiar pressure of his calloused fingertips pressing into the skin of your back, desperate to keep you close. You weren’t allowed to sigh in content when you felt the warmth of his body seep into your skin, or whimper when his hot breath rolled over the skin of your neck.
But now you could. Now, without the moral implications of enjoying another man, you could sink into this all-consuming feeling you have when Juri is near.
“Morning you two. We’ve got a video to film in the garage if you want to follow me?” The social media manager, Georgina,  a lovely woman in her 40s whom you always went to for advice and style tips, poked her head into the room you and Juri were tangled in, a cheeky smile on her face when she spotted the somewhat compromising position. A blush fell heavy on your cheeks, and you were quick to try and scramble away from Juri.
He had other ideas though. When Juri began moving, you clutched onto him for dear life, terrified of falling to the ground even though it was only about two feet. Your arms circled around his neck, your legs fully wrapping around his hips from where you were straddling him on the chair. His large hands came to rest on the underside of your thighs, hoisting you up higher on his body. Your legs clenched around his middle, the feel of his fingers pushing into the soft skin of your legs was electrifying, and you were sure if you didn’t have a video to film, you would have been telling the Estonian to find an unoccupied office to take what he needed from you.
But alas, you had a job to do. So, still wrapped around Juri like a vice, he carried you through the Hitech office, nodding to other staff you passed, and occasionally nuzzling his nose into your neck to get a good whiff of your perfume. Juri had said multiple times the scent was intoxicating and could bring any man to his knees. You may have gone out and bought an extra bottle to ensure you never ran out after that.
After a few minutes, you stepped into the garage with Juri, well, he stepped in you just kind of floated in. The scent of grease, rubber and a slight hint of fuel invaded your nostrils, and you sighed in content. Juri chuckled at your actions, he always loved watching you step into a garage, or out onto the pit lane to take in the smells of burnt rubber. You told him every time he laughed at you that it evoked a calm feeling within you, it was nostalgic, filled with happy memories from your childhood and the memories of races you shared with Juri on track.
“Alright lovebirds, can we get you in these chairs and we’ll start explaining while we finish getting set up.” Georgina stated, smiling fondly at the love between her two youngsters. Juri sat you down in one of the chairs sitting before the cameras, not leaving your side for long as he planted himself in his own chair and dragged you as close as possible.
Georgina explained the rules of the game, and the way you would be playing it, choosing you to sit in the background listening to music whilst Juri answered questions about you. First, they gave you a list of questions about yourself, asking to circle the correct answers and they would be compared to Juri’s during the game.
“Ok Juri, the first question. How old was Y/N when she started karting?” Georgina questioned. She watched you in the background closely to ensure you couldn’t hear anything, but you were blissfully unaware of everything around you, headphones in your ears, legs tucked up on the chair, scrolling through your phone with the occasional giggle escaping your lips. Each time Juri heard the angelic sound, he would turn to look at you with a look so soft it made the entire team’s heart swell.
“Uh, I think she was 10, I know she started late because she had to argue with her parents to let her do it with her brothers, and I think 10 is about the right age.” Juri answered, looking as though he was thinking quite hard about it. It had been a long time since the two of you discussed your start in karting, it was one of the first conversations you had together, and since then you hadn’t had to talk about generic teammate topics. Juri was proud that he remembered something seemingly insignificant from a year and a half ago, but supposed when it came to you he could never forget a thing.
“Alright, next question. What is Y/N’s biggest fear? Is it A, the ocean, B, goblins, or C, heights?” Juri’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head when he heard the second answer, trying to figure out why it was even an option in the first place. His eyes focused on one spot on the floor, his brain moving a mile a minute to analyse conversations he had with you.
“Well, we’ve been to the beach together a few times, and thinking back I don’t think she’s ever gotten into the water. So maybe the ocean, but she also said once when we were looking at a castle that she doesn’t like gargoyles, so goblins could be a thing. But she’s definitely not scared of heights. She’s gone skydiving, bungee jumping and climbed bridges and things like that. So I’m going to say the ocean. I feel like I would definitely know if she was scared of something like goblins.” Juri laughed, his eyes still glued to the spot on the floor, his thoughts flowing through his mouth with little consideration of how they could be interpreted.
“What is something Y/N never leaves the house with?” Georgina was hopeful for this question, she was sure it could be the catalyst for the two drivers to finally own up to their feelings after reading your answer. Juri listened to the multiple choice answers, but none of them sounded just right.
“So, the rings sound the closest, but sometimes she will wear lots, and other times only a few, and when she can’t wear them on her hands, she’ll thread it onto a necklace to wear under her race suit, or something so yeah, I’d say the rings.” Juri answered, turning to look at you behind him, wearing the exact ring he was talking about on the ring finger of your right hand.
“And what ring is the one she wears on her necklace?” Georgina probed, knowing the answer and just wanting to see the way Juri heated up when he talked about it.
“Uh, it’s a diamond ring that has a J engraved on the inside.” Juri answered, his cheeks turning an adorable shade of pink. A smile broke out on your face as you watched Juri, his flustered state always made you giggle as he was such a confident and put-together person usually. As a habit, you began spinning the ring on your right hand around, feeling the shape of the diamonds and knowing the initial carved into the inside was a claim over you.
“Do you know where she got it?” Georgina asked. She was getting frustrated, Juri was much more calm about revealing the intimacy of the ring than she had hoped.
“I gave it to her. About a year ago, and then she gave me a necklace with an (your initial) on it. I wear it every day, and it’s the only piece of jewellery I wear while I drive.” Juri answered, his fingers reaching up to toy with the thin gold chain hidden beneath his shirt. He looked over his shoulder at you, spotting the spinning ring immediately and smiling at you.
You looked up at him, a dazed look as you stared at the gorgeous man in front of you. He could see the stars in your eyes, staring at him as though he hung the moon, and if he was honest with himself, if you asked, he would. There was nothing you could ask of him that would be too much, even if you didn’t ask, he would do everything for you. No one had ever held this power over him, he wasn’t even sure it would feel this good if it were anyone else, but you just did something to him. You unlocked a part of him he didn’t know existed.
You were just, everything. To him. You were everything he ever wanted, ever needed, even everything he didn’t know he needed. You opened him up, poured sunshine into his life in the form of your smile, happiness penetrated his bones because of your laugh. He didn’t want to lose that again, didn’t want to lose you to another man. He needed you, and he needed you now.
It was like slow motion, the way Juri surged out of his chair toward you, his hands cupping your jaw roughly as he guided you to your feet. The laptop on the ground pulled the earphones from your ears, your phone clattering to the floor in your surprise. Your hands reached up to fist in his shirts, not wanting to lose this proximity. You had him in your grasp and you’d be damned if you ever let him go again.
Juri pressed his lips to yours, as soft and warm as you’d imagined them so many times before. You kissed him back with ferocity, the eighteen months worth of emotion poured into a kiss to communicate your feelings in a way that didn’t need words. He kissed back just as fiercely, his hands holding your face still to allow him to do exactly what he needed. You were pliable to his every demand, putty in his hands. Juri had always had this effect on you, every fleeting touch or brush of a hand on your waist made your knees weak and your stomach flutter with the force of a thousand butterflies.
Juri pulled away, barely a breath between your lips as he panted slightly. Your eyes were trained on his lips, the fullness of his bottom lip, the redness from your assault on them making them look all the more kissable.
“So, how about we switch that ring to the other hand and really make this a Mr & Mrs video?”

It happens slowly then all at once. He knows he feels lighter, physically, before he’s fully conscious - can’t feel the warm weight of you on top of him. He frowns as he slowly awakens fully, feeling for your body next to him.
When all he feels are sheets, he comes to, a little quicker, opening one eye to look around. When he doesn’t see you, he figures you left to go to the bathroom but a piece of paper on your pillow catches his eye.
He frowns as he sits up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes when the doorbell begins to ring incessantly. He looks between the door, the paper and then the door again, tucking the note underneath his pillow to come back to later. He takes a cursory look at the clock -
08:00
He runs downstairs with a grin, thinking maybe you went out to grab coffee and forgot you didn’t have a key, but when he opens the door, icy shock runs through his veins.
“Hi, Aaron.”
“Haley?” He replies stunned. He glances behind him, increasingly alarmed now as to your whereabouts.
She averts her gaze from Hotch’s half naked form, it’s nothing she hasn't seen before but there’s a barrier between them now. Even with what she’s about to tell him.
“Can we talk?”
“-This…. isn’t really a good time.” He replies, glancing behind him again. He uses his body to block what lies behind him, clothing littering the floor as evidence of last night. His cheeks run hot when he realises Haley already spotted it all.
“We need to talk. I wouldn’t have shown up like this, but she told me to come by at 8. Said I should talk to you.”
He frowns. “Who?” He asks, despite hazarding a very good guess he already knows the answer.
“Look, can I just come in? I'm really cold and this is incredibly awkward.”
He sighs, “Yeah- yeah come in.” He steps aside to let her in, picks his shirt up off the floor and begins to button it as he invites her to sit.
Haley tells him that she managed to track you down outside your apartment yesterday. His jaw ticks and he runs his thumb over his bottom lip, agitated. “Why would you do that?”
“I figured I owed her an apology. Ultimately I was the one who put her in danger with-” She licks her lips. “With him. I thought we should talk.”
“So you resorted to stalking?” He paces. He can’t figure out why you’d ask her to come by now, especially if you were going to spend the night last night.
“I know, I’m sorry.” She looks sick. “I kind of knew that you felt something for her, and I figured she probably did too. Clearly I was right.”
“I’m not doing this with you.”
She throws her hands up. “No! No, that's not what I meant. I need to tell you something but before I did, I needed to tell her, I owed her some courtesy after everything at least.”
He tilts his head and his eyes narrow. “Get to the point.”
She pulls out an envelope and slides it across the coffee table. She breathes shakily, nodding at it. “It’s all in there.”
He watches her quizzically, confused at her demeanour - she’s never been one to be at a loss for words. He takes a seat opposite, studying her as he peels open the envelope.
A sliver of cold panic works its way through his veins as he scans the page.

“What the hell is this?” He asks, his voice barely above a whisper.
She swallows thickly, abetting her gaze. “It’s a paternity test. I’m pregnant.” She tells him quietly.
His chest tightens and his head starts swimming. “What? I don’t believe you.”
“It’s right there on the paper. It’s yours.” She looks like she’s holding back vomit, the colour on her face drained. She studies Aaron for any kind of a reaction but he still looks confused.
“I want another one.” He tells her waving the paper. “How far along are you?”
“3 and a half months.”
“Wait,” He winces as the cold realisation hits him. “You told her?”
She nods.
The colour drains from his face and he shoots up from his seat, remembering everything he’d told you yesterday about how he would do things differently if he ever became a father. Knowing now what you knew then, he can’t begin to fathom what must have been going through your mind yesterday.
He shoots up the stairs three at a time, hoping he’s not too late.

06:00
Your eyes burn with the lack of sleep and the aftermath of your breakdown. You lay still against Aaron’s chest, your hand splayed flat against his skin. You’ve been watching him sleep for most of the night, memorising all you can about him, and imagining an alternate future where you could’ve ended up together.
But it doesn’t help. All it goes is drive a stake deeper into your heart because no matter how much you imagine, it doesn’t change your future. The sun begins to rise sure enough, a promise of another day but the lighter it gets, the more your stomach turns and the tighter your chest gets.
You pull Aaron in closer one more time, fusing your body to his and you close your eyes. His hands run down your bag gently as he stirs in his sleep. You take a minute to take him in one last time, despite your aching heart you try to hold onto the happiness you’d felt before it all came crashing down.
You doubt you’ll feel for anyone the way you feel for him. But you can’t be selfish, not now. You whisper to him, barely audible, the words you need to get off your chest and with a gentle kiss to his sleeping face, you slink out of his arms.
You gather your clothes, and from the credenza drawer downstairs, grab a pen and paper.
‘Dearest Aaron…’
Tears stain your face as you initial the bottom of the letter and with a final breath, you fold it and scrawl his initials on top. You reluctantly walk back upstairs and when you see Aaron’s peaceful face in a deep sleep, it takes everything in you to walk away. You place the note on your pillow, and turn away before you change your mind.
But as you approach the door, you turn to take one last look at him, willing your memory to hold on to this image, to the feel of him. To what it feels like to be loved by him.
“Goodbye Aaron.” You whisper.

08:30hrs:
He struggles to get his pants on, throwing on odd socks and grabbing the note on the pillow which he stuffs haphazardly into his three day old jacket. He runs down the stairs three at a time, passing Haley on the way as he grabs his keys.
She looks at him with panic and confusion. “Go back to the hotel, I’ll call you!” He tells her. She looks around, stunned as the door slams shut behind him.
He fumbles with his phone, dialling your number, but it goes straight to voicemail. He tries Emily but it goes to voicemail too. He dials the direct line to your assistant and on the last ring, she picks up.
“Agent Hotchner?”
“Leah?”
“Yeah? Is everything okay?”
He desperately asks if she has any idea of where you are today, if you have anything on your docket.
“Not that I can see, no. Is everything okay?”
“Look, can you find out if she’s home and call me?” He hangs up and purposely turns on the sirens to weave through traffic to your place. In a cruel twist of fate, he curses the numerous traffic logs he encounters on his way, thinking he’ll deal with the fallout of using his lights without reason later.
He finally turns onto your street, tires screeching as he pulls up behind a blacked out towncar, into which an older gentleman appears to be hauling suitcases. He doesn’t bother closing the door as he exits his SUV, his eyes trailing on the suitcases being piled into the trunk of the towncar when he hears your voice.
He stops in his tracks.
“Alright, James. I think that’s the last of the b-”
The air leaves your lungs when you catch sight of him. There’s a brief moment when you think you think you’re imagining him but your chest squeezes when you look at his face, halfway between confused, devastated and just plain betrayed.
He utters your name with a shaky whisper. “What is this? What’s going on?” He asks unsteady, already knowing the answer.
You hand your bags to James who ducks between you to receive them, the tension thick and heavy. “I’m sorry, I planned on…” You struggle for the words. “Being done earlier than this. This is what I wanted to avoid.”
He retreats, eyebrows shooting up. “This, what? You wanted to avoid saying goodbye to me? You couldn’t even extend me the grace of telling me you were leaving?” He pulls out your note from his pocket, shaking it in front of you. “You left this and thought it would be enough? After everything that happened with us.”
“Come on, Aaron. You know that’s not what I meant. But you know why I’m leaving, it’s why you’re here. And I knew you would do this, I knew you’d try and talk me out of going. That’s why I didn’t tell you.” You swallow the lump in your throat.
The desperation inside him starts to claw at him. “You don’t have to leave. We’re adults, we can figure this out.” He takes both of your hands tightly in his.
You shake your head. “I won’t put you in that position, I know how important this is to you. I won’t put myself in that position either.” He opens his mouth to oppose you but he knows as well as you do that this is the end. “I can’t believe I’m going to say this but this was easier when I had a stalker, all I had to worry about was making it through the day without being murdered. But things are real now, you have a career and a family to worry about, I have to go to college. I guess we just didn’t think this through.”
He retreats slightly, a hurt expression on his face. “That doesn’t mean it was wrong.” He says, quietly. “I told you I’d wanted to be with you for a long time, and I meant it. I don’t regret any of it.”
You cup his cheek. “Neither do I. But we both know what needs to happen. I can’t stay.”
He caresses your hand on his cheek with bereft eyes. “You changed me, you know?”
You laugh dryly. “With your gig at the BAU? Forget it, you’ll be saving people left and right.”
“You know that’s not what I meant.” His voice cracks. “I’m just sorry we couldn’t have more time. I think this could have been something.”
“Did you read the note?” He shakes his head. “Wait until I’m gone to read it - you don’t have to. But if you ever find yourself doubting or second-guessing who you were to me - who you are to me? You should read that. It has everything you’ll need to know.”
He brings his forehead to yours, glassy eyes watching you with so much affection you think you might just break. “Can we stay here? Just for a minute? I’m not ready to let you go yet.” He asks.
You nod and loop your arms around his neck, tiptoeing to reach his height. He hugs you back with ferocity, face burying in the crook of your neck as he takes you in, memorises the way you body slots against his, how you smell and feel. He presses his eyes shut, willing his brain to commit every last feeling to memory, terrified that there may come a day when he no longer remembers how he loves you.
You muffle your sobs as best as you can, clutching at the material of his shirt, and the small tufts of hair at the nape of his neck. Try as you might, when you close your eyes, all you can see is a reel of your relationship with Aaron, spanning from the moment you met to now.
All of it comes rushing back: the gazebo, your apartment, numerous late night coffees and dinners, his face in the cabin, the hospital and of course, the nights and days you spent in bed. The pond, the balcony, the laughter. The love. You feel a hole consuming your chest and you struggle to breathe, cursing yourself for falling in love with the one man you couldn’t possibly ever have.
James beeps from inside the towncar, and you reluctantly loosen your grip on Aaron, sniffling as you let him go. It feels infinitely harder to detangle yourself from him now, like tearing a bandage off of a raw wound, but you know you need to go.
And so does he.
His eyes are watery when you look at him, yours mirroring his heartbreak. “I guess this is it.” He rasps.
You clear your throat. “Yeah. I guess so.”
“Can I kiss you goodbye?”
You nod solemnly. His hands cup your cheeks lovingly, wiping away a stray tear. He leans in, and presses his lips to yours for the last time. He takes his time, allowing himself to linger in the moment, and convey everything he can in this kiss without having to say it. Wants to remember how soft your lips are and the way you taste.
Your tears fall steadily now, your own hands tangling in his hair. You selfishly wish you could stay here, throw away any and all integrity just to keep him for yourself. But you both have things to do, futures to live.
You break the kiss, forehead resting against his. His hand cradles the back of your head, and he presses a tender kiss to your forehead, lips lingering before he finally lets go.
You fish in your pocket and take his hand in yours, dropping your key into his palm. He looks at you quizzically. “Keep it, give it to the super, I don’t mind. But lock up for me?” You ask him.
He nods, closing his hand around yours, a desperate attempt to keep you close for a few more fleeting moments. He presses a desperate kiss laced with finality on your lips as you release yourself from his embrace.
Watching you reach for the car door sends him into a tailspin. You’re just about in the car when you hear him call your name. His voice is strained. “Listen, I just- before you go. There’s something I need to tell you.” His face is contorted with desperation and his voice laced with something utterly heartbroken.
You know where he’s going with this. You weren’t sure if he felt it until now, horrible fucking timing, but it’s still something.
“Don’t. I know what you’re going to say, Aaron. Please don’t.” You sob. “This is already one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do, please don’t make it harder. I know what you’re going to say. But before you do… just please don’t?” You plead.
He swallows thickly, choking back tears, too. “I do, though.”
You breathe through the hole in your chest. “I know, Aaron. I do, too.” Your smile is bitter as you open the car door and step inside gingerly, keeping your eyes on the sidewalk where he stands. He walks over to you, tangles your fingers with his briefly before cradling your chin, wiping another stray tear.
“Maybe in another life?” He whispers.
“Maybe in another life.” You tell him with a sad smile.
“Goodbye, sweetheart.”
I love you.
“Goodbye, Aaron.”
I love you.
He watches the car peel away longingly, muttering aloud the words that he’d whispered two nights ago when he thought you were asleep.
“I love you.”

09:15
Your car pulls up to the airstrip forty-five minutes later and you can hear the deafening engine of the plane before you even step out of the car. You place a $50 in the hand of the man who opens your door for you, throwing a quick thank you his way as you obscure your puffy eyes with a pair of sunglasses.
You offer the men loading your luggage a small smile and hand them their tips, before boarding the plane. You spot Emily on the far left side of the plane, her face buried in a copy of Mother Night.
When she sees you, she shoots up from her seat, throwing her book onto the table in front of her. “Oh my God! You came! Hi!” Her good arm wraps around your neck for a hug and you stiffen against her. “What made you change your mind?” She asks.
You close your mouth just as soon as you open it when the curtain dividers open.
“Darling!” Ambassador Prentiss emerges from her office, behind a divider on the plane. She has a phone receiver against her chest, you assume to muffle her voice to whoever is on the other end. “Emmy and I are so glad you decided to join us, we’ll be taking off in around 15 minutes.” She tells you, glancing at her watch.
You shoot her a polite smile and thank her, and she looks between you and Emily, excusing herself back to her office.
“I’ll let you girls catch up.”
Emily leads you to the seat opposite her, her face now showing signs of concern. She watches your face for an answer but when nothing comes, she asks outright.
“What happened? I thought you were going to stick around and see what happens? You had a date right? Her words scratch your skin.
“Date’s off.” You swallow.
Her eyes widen. “What? Why?!”
“His ex is pregnant and it’s his.” You reply nonchalantly, rapidly blinking back tears behind your sunglasses.
Her mouth drops open. “Holy shit! Are you okay?”
“I’ll be fine.” You reply, gazing out of the window.
Emily watches you in shock, unsure of what to say. She can tell by your demeanour that you’re in shock but she can’t do anything except hold your hand and tell you she’s sorry with a quiet voice.
“Yeah.” You sigh.

09:00
When he keys open your apartment door, he’s hit with an eerie silence, a heart wrenching emptiness. He attempts to turn a lamp on but the electricity has been turned off, leaving the living room cold and dark.
His mind fills in the spaces between the emptiness, picturing you sitting on your couch, or on the bar stools around your island. Can hear the incessantly loud TV, and your laughter from your room.
Your room is just as empty too, a few stray clothes hangers remain in the wardrobes and when he turns to look out at your balcony, he swears he sees your shadow outside. He makes sure the doors and windows are secure and makes his way back to your living room, the entire experience harrowing, like walking through a graveyard of memories.
His legs give out as he walks back to the living room, sinking onto the couch. A picture of you catches his eye on the side table next to him, the same one he’d caressed gently when you’d been taken by Jordan. He’d thought then, that was the worst moment of his life, had he known what was to come, he’d have reserved his judgement.
He swallows the lump in his throat as he gently brushes a finger over the glass, unable to keep the tears from coming now. He wishes with everything you could have stayed, can feel it deep within him that you’ll keep a part of his heart for years to come. Then he remembers the note.
He opens the folded paper with trembling hands.
‘Dearest Aaron,
I sit in your living room right now, struggling for the words to write but I can’t seem to come up with anything that truly encapsulates how I feel. How I’m incredibly sorry to have to leave like this, how I wish with everything in me that I didn’t have to, I wish this could have ended differently.
I want to say thank you. You may not know or understand this, but for all the good and bad, you truly changed my life. I met you during the darkest and scariest part of my life, when I had nobody - when I was all alone. And in you came like a light and protected me fiercely, taught me everything I needed to save my life. You did that.
You saved me.
You changed me.
Despite the circumstances, we did have something, a friendship, maybe the start of something more - something real. Don’t ever doubt that. The last two days were two of the best of my life, a fitting reward, I thought, after everything I’d been through. But I couldn’t let you talk me into staying, because I know you, and you would have tried, told me that we could’ve worked something out - and it would’ve been selfish of me to stay.
I want you to know that I am so incredibly happy for you. This wasn't an easy decision, but I’m leaving of my own choice. I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll be an amazing father. That child will be loved and oh so lucky to have you and your warmth as a father. I know how much this means to you, how important it is for you to give your child a better life than the one you and Sean had.
And you will.
Thank you for everything you did for me, thank you for saving me over and over again. Thank you for teaching me to be brave, and for coming into my life. My hope for you is that you’ll build a wonderful life with your beautiful little family and achieve everything you’ve ever wanted and more.
You’ll change the world one day.
Know that I will always have a special place for you in my heart.
I’ll never forget you.
All my love.’
He swallows the burning in his chest. Two days were all he had with you and he stupidly saw himself able to imagine a future with you, could imagine loving you for the rest of his life - but then he’d been in love with you long before you’d asked him to stay.
He winces as something digs into his chest and he reaches for his inside jacket pocket until something cold makes contact with his fingers.
His heart stops, molten lava running through his veins.
Your necklace.
He grips it until the sharp edges of the pendant feel like they’re about to puncture his skin.
Maybe he wasn’t destined for peace, for love. The love that he wanted. Maybe a happy ending wasn’t written for him and he’d have to make peace with that. At least he had the memory of your face burnt into his brain, the smell of your hair, the sound of your laughter.
That finite part of you would get him through eternity.
———
20:00
You’ve rejected every meal you’ve been offered by the staff aboard the plane, instead choosing to down Emily’s bottle of red wine. It eases the heaviness in your head, that’s true but the ache in your chest still remains.
Emily’s since drifted off to sleep, her book laying open against her stomach, meal half-eaten. You stare at the blinking lights of the plane and the clouds below you until everything starts to blur.
You love him. He loves you. That much is true. You never had believed in the concept of the right person but the wrong time, how could you? If the person was right, the timing would surely be inconsequential.
That was until you met Aaron.
In this life, in the grey harsh reality, after everything you had been through with him, the simple fact that two people love one another pales in comparison to the bloody reality of commitments, matters of the mind and sacrifice.
He loves you and you love him. It just isn’t enough.
He aches for you and you ache for him. But it’s still just out of reach.
Your hearts aren’t your own anymore. But you have to go on anyway.

all I could ever want – t.seguin
Tumblr media
a/n: part 2 of there won’t be anyone else!! I definitely prefer the first part of this story, but I also love this one because it’s just straight fluff 😌
Word count: 2.9k
“Mommy!” Willow squealed in delight, running into the kitchen to see you, Tyler had picked her up from preschool on his way home from practice. “Willow!” You mimicked, laughing as she hugged your legs, “did you have a good day?” You asked with a grin, Tyler chuckled, “Miss Laura is having a baby.” Tyler spoke for her. Willow nodded excitedly, “aw, that’s great.” You smiled, hoisting Willow up to sit on the counter. “I want you to have a baby, mommy.” She spoke honestly, giving her dad a weird look when he choked on his water, you snickered at him. “Maybe.” You shrugged her comment off, thankful for her short attention span, she was asking to go play with the dogs as she wiggled her way into your arms to be put down on the ground. “Go ahead.” Tyler nodded her off and she went barreling towards the living room where the dogs were innocently napping, poor boys.
“What was that reaction for?” You asked once it was just the two of you, he mumbled something under his breath, “talk like an adult, Tyler.” You teased him, resting a hand on your hip as you gave him a stern look. “I just didn’t think she was going to want a sibling, she loves having all the attention.” He sighed, “plus my baby is too little to want another baby in the house.” He pouted dramatically. Ah, the real reasoning coming out. “Yeah, but you always said you wanted more kids, and you know I would be happy with a full house, so.” You trailed off, kind of disappointed by his lackluster reaction. “You still want to have more kids right?” You asked when he didn’t speak, finally locking your eyes on his. “Yes, of course.” He rushed, “after the wedding?” He offered, seeing your smile turn up, “really?” You gasped like a child. You wrapped your arms around his neck, “I don’t want you to think I don’t want more babies with you.” He smirked, kissing your pouted lips, “I was just so caught off guard.” He admitted honestly, his normal attitude coming back through.
You had to cut him some slack, thinking of how hard it was for him when Willow’s mom was pregnant, she didn’t want him involved in anything he wasn’t able to be apart of it up until the last second, it was like a switch flipped and suddenly she decided she wasn’t fit to raise a baby. As selfish as it sounds, you were so grateful for how it turned out, because at the end of the day you knew she was getting the best life possible with you and Tyler.
“Me too, honestly, I’m surprised she hasn’t asked how the baby gets in a woman’s stomach.” You quipped, Tyler groaned, “I can’t even think about that.” He muttered in defeat, kissing the side of your head. When he pulled away, you had a giddy smile on your face, “what?” He asked you suspiciously. “I can’t wait to have a baby with you.” You admitted, watching his nerves melt away. You knew Tyler, and you knew he was a worrier, even if he didn’t voice it, right now he was probably running over every horror story he’s heard about complicated pregnancies. “God you’re gonna look so beautiful.” He muttered, a glint in his eyes, you knew then, that it was all going to be ok, even if he was a nervous wreck. Which part of you thought he would be.
***
You stood by the window of your bridal suite, dressed in your gown and veil, one of the photographers getting photos of you looking out, coincidentally, in the open garden below you, Tyler was doing his first look with Willow, something the photographer had brought up to you, and you jumped on it. Those pictures would be cherished forever, Tyler really didn’t know what Willow was going to be dressed in, but you watched as he turned around and saw his little girl, who didn’t look so little, in a dusty rose colored dress, long lace sleeves and a nice puffy skirt, per her request. Her curls tamed beautifully for once as she actually let the hair stylist apply some products to them. Your grin was wide as he gasped, looking at her and she bounced over to him, you could see her mouth moving and you could only imagine how she was rambling on and on about her dress. A habit he swears she picked up from you.
“Y/N? You ready to head down?” Your maid of honor, your best friend Y/F/N asked, giving you a once over. You smoothed out your dress once more, looking down at the trumpet style gown. “Yeah.” You sniffled, fanning at your face. You and Tyler opted not to do a first look, you wanted to see his genuine reaction as you walked down the aisle. “You look stunning.” She assured you, lightly dabbing under your eyes with a tissue, the sound of the camera going off in the background.
As you reached your spot just behind the double doors, any nerves you had melted away, Tyler, the love of your life, was right on the other side of this wall, prepared to say I do to a lifetime with you.
Tyler’s father was walking you down the aisle, neither of your parents here to do it. As he approached, you smiled, hoping Tyler’s reaction would be similar to his dad’s. You’d grown close with his family over the years, they truly loved you, and it showed as his dad grabbed your hand, kissing the top of it as he smiled tearfully. “I’ll never really know how Tyler managed to snag you up, but he could have never made a better choice.” He explained, voice shaking before he cleared his throat. “Let’s get this show on the road.” He broke the silence, chuckling at himself as you looped your arm with his, holding your bouquet with the other.
The wedding March began to play, and the doors were pushed open, revealing you and Paul standing there. Instantly Tyler looked to the ceiling, his eyes watering already, the smile on his face was undeniable as you walked towards him slowly, your own eyes glazed over at the way he was looking at you. “Gorgeous.” He mouthed, your lips parting in a smile, he loved when he got those smiles out of you, the ones where the corners of your eyes would crinkle, and sometimes you would even scrunch your nose a bit. This was definitely one of those moments.
***
The wedding had come and gone, your honeymoon too, a simple trip with just the two of you before the hockey season started again. “Daddy.” Willow whispered, standing on his side of the bed, he stirred, blinking his eyes a couple of times to adjust to the darkness of the room. He turned his lamp on, “what’s wrong baby?” He asked softly, careful not to wake you as he caressed Willow’s face, frowning at the tears coating it. “I had a bad dream.” She whimpered, “come here.” He huffed as he pulled her up onto the bed. “Wanna tell me what happened?” He asked her, turning the lamp off as he let her cuddle with him. “No, just cuddles.” She mumbled sleepily, his heart swelled in his chest at that, “always, princess.” He sighed, kissing the top of her head as she easily laid on top of him, her teddy bear snuggled between them. You flipped over carefully, having woken up during their little conversation. Tyler gave you a tired smile as you placed a kiss on his shoulder before resting back on your pillow, a smile on your face as you listened to her light breathing.
As morning came you groaned in annoyance, morning sickness coming right along with it.
That’s right, you two had no trouble getting pregnant apparently, today was actually the day you were going to tell Willow about the baby. “Is mommy sick?” Willow asked Tyler as they woke up to you bolting out of bed, he held back a chuckle, “no, she’s ok.” He assured her, “stay here.” He demanded gently before coming to check on you as you brushed your teeth. “Hi babe.” He placed a kiss on your cheek, “doing ok?” He asked softly, locking eyes with you in the mirror. “Yeah,” you sighed, leaning into his hold after you rinsed your mouth out. “Are you ready to tell her?” You asked eagerly, “god, yes.” He groaned, giving you a quick kiss.
Willow was sitting in the middle of the bed, adjusting the bow on her teddy bear's head. “Good morning, baby.” You chuckled, sitting beside her, she shot you a smile, just like Tyler’s as she crawled into your lap. “Don’t forget miss bows.” She mumbled with a pout, Tyler snickered as you took the bear and placed a kiss on its head, “good morning, miss bows.” You spoke dramatically, Willow snuggling happily into you. “Hey, Willow.” Tyler spoke softly, sitting beside you, “guess what?” He smiled at her, she sat up a little straighter, “what?” She asked cutely, you shared a look with Tyler. “We’re gonna have a baby.” You told her, relief hitting you as she jumped up screaming in excitement. “A baby?!” She squealed. You quickly pulled out your phone to record her, sending it to Tyler’s parents. “When?” She asked giggling, sitting crossed legged in front of you both. “Oh, it’s still going to be a few months honey.” You explained sweetly, “but you’re going to be a big sister, that means you can help me and mommy get stuff ready for the baby.” Tyler assured her, wanting her to feel involved and not like the baby was going to completely take over.
The months started flying by, you were having a little boy, Tyler thought he wanted another daughter, which of course he would have been just as excited for, but when he heard it was a boy, you could see the way his eyes lit up. Willow had been a little upset at first, wanting a little sister that she could do all her fun girly things with as she got older, but after some long conversations and some explanations, you convinced her of all the reasons it would be fun for her to have a brother.
Tyler was more than nervous as your water broke in the middle of the night, of course you’d thought ahead and had spoken to Tyler’s mom, who had been staying with you guys for about a week, to be here and help with Willow once you had the baby. He swears that your labor went on forever, but really, you’d gotten lucky and progressed quickly. Nearly missing the window to get the epidural, which terrified you, but you got it, and now you had a very healthy, chunky little eight pound baby boy. Much to everyone’s surprise, everyone expected him to be smaller, but you weren’t complaining.
“Oh my god.” You cried out as they put him on your chest, his screams filling the room, it felt like an eternity until he began to cry, but he was sure to make up for it.
“I can’t believe we made him.” Tyler mumbled, unlike Willow, Hunter was born with next to no hair. “I know.” You whispered, running your finger across his chubby cheek, he was peacefully sleeping in your arms, already a hungry baby, having drunk himself right to sleep. “I hope he looks like you.” Tyler muttered, lightly kissing the side of your head, a smile graced your lips, “I hope he looks like you.” You giggled, “but I kind of don’t, because then all the girls will be after him when he’s a teenager.” You added, your husband chuckling beside you. “Let’s worry about his first night home, yeah?” He laughed softly. “Willow is going to be so excited.” You sighed, lacing your fingers with Tyler’s.

“Mommy, daddy!” Willow rushed over when you walked in, Tyler having the car seat around his arm. “Hi, sweet girl.” You welcomed her hug, kneeling to her height. “Were you good for grandma?” You asked gently, she nodded eagerly before moving over to hug Tyler once he placed the car seat down. “Hi princess.” He grinned, hugging her tightly, “I missed you.” He kissed the top of her head, laughing as she completely disregarded his comment and looked at Hunter in awe. “He’s so pretty.” She gasped, making you and Jackie both laugh. “He really is a beautiful baby, honey.” Jackie spoke to you, giving you a gentle hug. Tyler moved the car seat up to the table, shushing Willow as he assured her she would get to hold him. “Go wash your hands.” Jackie instructed her, walking over to Tyler as he easily held the newborn in his hands. She kissed her son's cheek before grabbing Hunter’s hand, “hello beautiful boy.” She cooed, running her thumb over his arm. “You did good.” She commented to Tyler, lightly nudging his side, he shot her a smile, “yeah.” He agreed, glancing at you.
“Can I hold him, please, please?” Willow begged, running out with freshly washed hands, you nodded, “go sit on the couch, I’ll bring him to you.” You instructed her softly, she giggled and ran off to the couch, you gently took Hunter from Tyler, “oh, Jackie did you want to hold him fi–“ “No, no, let Willow do it first, she’s just so excited.” Jackie cut you off mid ramble. You smiled in relief, slowly walking over to the couch, Tyler came and sat next to her, he put a pillow on her lap, and had her put arms out on it. “You have to be really gentle, ok?” He told her as he put his arms around her, his hands offering extra support for the baby’s neck. You laid Hunter down, smiling as Willow cooed down to him, “hi baby brother.” She giggled, looking over at you and then to Tyler. “Mommy,” she mumbled as you sat next to them, Tyler picking the baby up as he began to fuss, “I love him.” Willow concluded in the most serious voice. “I love him too.”

Hunter gurgled up at you as you dressed him in sweatpants, now two months old, and all of you were missing Tyler as he just had his first away game of the season. You left him shirtless, a pun at how Tyler always walked around the house in his pajamas, “mommy, I wanna match.” Willow pouted, you looked at her in thought for a moment, knowing you couldn’t let her run around in only pants, even if it was only in the house. “Oh, I have an idea.” You grinned, scooping the baby up and going into the back of the closet, where most of Tyler’s old shirts were. “Come here baby!” You called, Willow came bouncing in, one of your fondest memories as a child was wearing your dad's old shirts as pajamas, so why not pass it on to her. “Pick one to wear.” You told her, smiling as she got all excited, flipping through them, she pulled two down off the hangers, “where this one mommy, please.” She gave you her puppy eyes, not that she had to. You nodded, taking the shirt from her and going into the bathroom to change into it, leaving your shorts in underneath.
A loud laugh fell from your lips as you walked out and saw her drowning in his shirt, but there was nothing more adorable. “Come here, let me get a picture.” You made Willow lay on the bed, and put Hunter next to her, you wanted to send the picture to him, but you’d rather him be surprised by your outfit choices for the night. “Hello!” Tyler called from downstairs, Willow giggled carefully moving away from Hunter, “careful, hold the shirt up so you don’t fall!” You called as she took off out of the room, her response faded out as she bounced down the steps, you following with Hunter curled up in your arms. “Hey baby!” You heard Tyler gasp, “what do you think you’re wearing?” He questioned her, lifting her up into his arms. “We missed you so much, we figured why not dress up as you.” You explained, making him look up and see you in one of his shirts and Hunter in little grey sweatpants, Tyler threw his head back in laughter, “are you surprised?” Willow asked him, arms clasped around his neck, he hummed in agreement as he kissed her cheek before coming over to you. “Hi.” He whispered before pecking your lips.
“Hi.” You repeated, smiling as he pulled away, Willow wiggled her way down to the ground, allowing him to take Hunter from you. “Hey bud, looking good.” He mumbled kissing across his chubby cheeks. “And mama, as beautiful as ever.” He winked over at you. He smirked when you rolled your eyes with a smile, “movie night!” He declared, bolting up the stairs with Hunter to go change. You chuckled as you ordered pizza, deciding to make it a fun simple night. You knew that it wouldn’t always be like this, but you knew that whatever life through at you, you two could make it work.
“You know, I’ve got all I could ever want right here.” Tyler mumbled as you sat curled up on the couch with two sleeping kids on your laps. “Me too, Ty.”
