Unpopular Opinions: Twilight Edition

Bella’s friends should have been given more time, and energy in Twilight. (The only reason why I like the characters was because of the actors who played them. Speaking of Movies.)

Let me explain, I understand that they are not written well, I still do not know if they were meant to be as annoying as they were or not and that no one really cared about Bella’s friends, I mean she didn’t really seem too either, and of course people were only there to see the vampires and the werewolves anyway, but they could have been used as a really great tool for Bella to want to stay human, if they'd been given more love and care.

To be fair, I felt that the only one who actually tried to be a friend to Bella, was Angela. When Eric got over Bella, he was all caught up on Angela, Jessica was rude, and Mike kept trying to date her, so of course that was part of the distance. But I always felt that, Bella felt, that she could not really connect with other people, the ones she could were vampires and werewolves, so of course she would want to stay in either one of those worlds, (Team Edward or Team Jacob) but to be honest she never really tried other humans (I call it, Team Charlie).

I loved how we got backstories for the Cullen's, We should have gotten backstories for the friends, or at the very least maybe see them in their personal lives, explain why Jessica was so “mean,” why Angela was so shy (something she had in common with Bella), why Eric and Mike were so weird, etc. Have Bella see when they are their most vulnerable, have them really open up to her, and have them help take Bella out of her comfort zone. Have Bella see that she actually had a lot in common with these kids, and then have her realize that she had wasted so much time not getting to know them, not hanging out with them, and before high school ends, she does so many fun things with them, without Edward. Have her hang out with Charlie, go fishing with him, go on joyrides, watching the game, have cookouts with him, Billy, and Jake, and his crew,  and she realizes humanity isn’t all that bad, having her wanting to keep tabs on them after graduation. Bella is hesitant on changing, realizing that she will not only miss Renee, and Charlie, when she becomes a vampire but Mike, Angela, Eric and Jessica AS WELL.

hello! not sure if this makes sense but could I request some pronouns that fit/work well with the names bee, angela, marie, and lisa? like imagining objects or aesthetics of characters with those names and using those as pronouns? Ive tried but Im struggling to get more ideas

Speaking on the Movies

So Angela Weber (played by James K Polk Middle School alum, Suzie Crabgrass, very well I may add) was a part of Bella's friends group at her high school. 

Angela, in my opinion, was a good side character because I felt she was an interesting one. She actually cared about Bella, and she really did try to be a friend to her, and it seemed Bella genuinely liked her the most out of all of her "friends" in the group. Angela was cute, quirky, funny, and likable, and seemed to show interest in Bella, her likes, her dislikes and her life. She didn't annoy her like Jessica, she wasn't trying to date her, like Mike or Eric (before being with Angela), she respected her boundaries, and she was never mean, she invited her to hang out. Which is why it made me sad whenever Bella didn't really give her human companions the time of day, because I liked Angela.... She's great, at least talking to Angela. Bella helps her find the love of her life, they study together, she invites Angela to her house, Bella has talked to Angela about her problems, and vice versa.
